Massive Baby Shopping and Foot Problems? ⎮ ASL Stew Life - Duration: 16:42.

(♪♪♪)

Good morning!

I know, it's Tuesday already and you're wondering what happened to Monday?

Well, not much.

Really there was nothing to do in the morning. Just did my thing.

Then after work,

Jenna came with me to go grocery shopping.

We came home. Put the food away.

We ate a little dinner and then I fell asleep.

It was like 6:30 or 7 and I was like I'll just take a nap.

Then I woke up and was like I want to sleep more.

I think I ended up sleeping from like 7p to 4:30 in the morning.

Lot of sleep! Same thing on Sunday evening.

I slept a lot! I've just been really tired.

So hopefully that means the baby's having a growth spurt. I don't know.

I guess we'll see. We have an appointment tonight.

So it's before work again.

Um... now it's Thursday.

Yeah, I know.

Not really been filming much, but umm...

Tuesday had an OB appointment.

Sorry we didn't get to film,

but we just kind of forgot the camera...

and Wednesday too.

So anyways, the OB appointment went really well.

Found the baby's heartbeat right away.

Everything's been the same. Blood pressure is good.

So really no concerns there.

Just you know, same old, same old.

Little bit of pain every once and a while but it's really no big deal.

Wednesday I came home, well went home,

and I ate dinner and I fell asleep.

Like I said, I've been really tired.

I've been sleeping a lot this week.

That's why I haven't been filming much.

But yesterday was really busy.

I pretty much worked all day and

I was helping with someone at work.

So I was at work from around 8 in the morning

until almost 8:30 at night.

So I didn't get home and I was just tired.

Then, that's been the week so far.

We have a baby class.

I don't think we can film there.

Maybe we can at the hospital. I don't know.

Jenna will be gone this weekend.

I'll try to film more on the weekend so you can see what's going on there.

I better get heading to work. See you later.

Right now I'm heading into the baby sale thing. We'll see.

This is crazy! There's so many things.

I don't know if I want the high chair or not though.

Hey, so I got done shopping.

That was actually a consignment sale.. yeah.

Anyways... I just realized something. Hold on.

Anyways, I left the door open...

well not the screen door, but anyways.

I wanted to show you what I got from there.

From the baby sale.

Like I said, it's a consignment sale.

So people can sell their things there

and then the company sells them and the people get part of the profit.

♪♪♪

Last thing is the high chair.

Yes, we got the Ikea high chair.

I do have to clean it and get rid of a sticker cause it's kind of dirty and old

but it was $10!

The actual Ikea high chair (new) is like $20

and this has a little bit of wear. So for $10, sure!

So that's it.

They did have two. One looked brand new but it was $20

and that's how much it cost at Ikea.

This one was $10, half off and there's only a few scratches on it.

Who cares! Right?

I mean it looks fine!

Plus...

actually I had to figure out how to get the tray off. Finally did it!

Hold on.

Okay hopefully you can see me.

Anyways, umm...

the Ikea high chair is originally what I wanted.

I put that down on my registry.

I had heard they cheap, but they're really great.

It's easy to clean, all of this stuff.

So I put it on my registry earlier.

Then after that I noticed another soon to be mother, one of my co-workers

same thing had the Ikea high chair on her registry.

Then we went to visit Jenna's family, who live in Virginia,

and they happen to have an Ikea store there.

Cause my area, the northern New York area,

I think the closest one we have is a few hours away

up in Canada, in Toronto.

But anyways, we went to the Ikea to look around just for some fun shopping.

We found the high chair and I thought it was really nice

but the tray was so hard to get off.

Like, we couldn't get it off.

I thought obviously I'm not gonna be able to buy this cause I can't get the tray off.

Not end of the world though.

But then recently I thought, no there's got to be an easier way.

So I Googled it and it said yes you can do it.

But I can't figure it out.

So when I went to the sale today,

I saw it and I was like I really want it but no.

Then I went back and Jenna said if it's a good deal, then why not.

So I was like I am going to figure out how to get the tray off.

If not, I won't buy it.

So I Googled it and it was like, you just gotta rip it off.

Feel like you're gonna break it but you're not.

I thought, well for $10 if I'm gonna break it then I'll just pay for it.

But I need to know.

So I put my hand down and ripped it off and it was so loud!

It was really loud and everyone looks at me

and I was like "hey sorry!"

But you think you broke it and it almost looked like it.

I was like crap!

But then I tried to put the tray back on and it's fine.

Then I pulled it off again and I was like, yep I can do it.

So I bought it for $10. Really excited!

So long story about a high chair,

but just gonna clean it up and yeah it's really cute.

Plus...

I think it's about the same height as our table, I believe.

Let me see.

Yeah, it's close.

So probably could just like pull the chair up to the table

without the tray maybe. That's cool!

So let me know if you guys have an Ikea high chair.

I'm curious, do you have a hard time getting the tray off?

Let me know.

We'll see.

Way too much!

♪♪♪

It doesn't really work with a pregnant belly. (laughs)

Happy Saturday!

Today Jenna isn't here.

She had to head out to work for the weekend.

I think she should be back tomorrow night maybe.

But, I am going to clean today.

Lot and lot and lots of cleaning... and laundry.

Hopefully some editing and filming.

I really need to upload the vlog from last week.

I know it's awful. It's like a week behind.

Sorry, that's life.

Then later I have a birthday party I'm going to go to.

Yeah, so that's what I'm gonna do.

Watch me clean all day. Woo!

♪♪♪

Right now I'm packing some textbooks.

I had a few from the garage sale

that we didn't actually try to sell because

I figure we could make more money online.

So that's what I'm doing.

Putting them in a box and sending them out.

Hopefully do that this week and then get some money!

So time to send out the books

and try and get some money back.

I think I have a package, so let's see.

So I just opened our PO Box and I got this key.

Let's see what's in there.

♪♪♪

Alright, so we got a box.

This is from MunchPak.

It's a variety of different snacks inside.

I guess I'll have to wait until Jenna gets home

and then we can do a review and see if it's good or not.

Should be fun.

I dropped off my box. Hopefully it should be okay.

I thought the post office was suppose to be open today.

It said until 2p, but it seems to be closed.

So, I mean it didn't have a person there.

So i just dropped it in the droppy thing. Let's hope!

Hey, I'm suppose to go to a birthday party but I am exhausted.

I don't know if it was just... I don't know.

But I feel really worn out.

So I decided I'm just gonna stay home and rest.

I'm really sorry. I feel bad but I'm tired.

Anyways, I'm gonna try to make dinner for myself.

Jenna's actually coming home tonight,

but probably won't be for a few hours.

So she'll probably get here like 8, 9, 10... I don't know.

Anyways that's what I'm doing.

I'm just gonna chill out.

Maybe do some computer work. Eat some dinner.

Just chill for the rest of the night.

I have some laundry but, I can just put that in the dryer.

Yeah, boring Saturday night but I'm fine with that.

Just resting.

[JE] Hello

[JI] Yes, Jenna is home.

She actually got home last night,

but it was already pretty late.

Anyways, I'm actually going back to the baby sale today

because there's a 50%.

So we'll see if there's anything I want.

I made a list of potential things we need. We'll see.

Jenna's staying home because she has a soccer game to watch... yes.

Hey explain why you're not coming.

[JE] Cause I have soccer.

[JI] That's it?

So, that is my lunch.

I just ate one. Now I'm going to eat a second one.

Really good! It's hummus and chickpeas,

which... or... the same thing,

but anyways, in a different form.

Some spinach, some vegan chicken patties,

and... spicy patties.

I got a bunch of stuff from the sale.

So I don't know if I want to show you all in here

because then it's just like a big haul. I have some from Friday.

So if you want to see it, let me know.

Maybe I can do a haul with the stuff later. Let me show you.

This, and all of this, and that.

I got a lot of stuff, so...

maybe I'll just show you later. I don't know.

If not I'll just include it with the rest of the baby haul stuff I got. Cool.

I think I'm gonna just delete the footage I already did of that

and then do a separate haul video.

Maybe I'll just do that... yeah I probably will.

So explain what's up.

[JE] Well, I'm having a foot issue.

Probably over a month ago, I hurt my foot.

From a metal chair that fell and I thought no big deal.

It happens. You know it's happened a few times I hit my foot.

I had a bruise. No biggie.

The bruise was there for quite a while and then it started fading.

I noticed there was a bump on my foot

and I've had it for almost the whole month.

This bump, really strange.

I went to the doctor last week,

and they said I have to get an x-ray.

So I did all of that, blah, blah, blah.

Gave me some medicine because he said it

could be a hematoma or a bone bruise.

So I'm suppose to take medicine to help with that.

Tomorrow will be a week and really hasn't changed much,

at least I don't think.

[JI] Poor thing!

[JE] Anyways have to call the doctor tomorrow and see what's going on.

[JI] And it's kind of my fault.

Kind of... not really, but kind of.

[JE] Not kind of.. no!

[JI] Oh well.

[JI] I'm gonna show you what I just filmed.

Yeah, we just filmed something.

Good food. So that should be coming out soon.

Now I'm gonna make my dinner.

[JE] Good night!

[JI] Alright, the week is done.

I filmed quite a lot this week.

The ASL Stew channel I haven't posted last week

but this week has been crazy!

since. I'm responsible for getting my life together since no one else is doing

second half bears come out strong and Kayla Fong has

an opportunity on goal

the game heats up with some fouls by both teams

Caroline Clark comes so close to scoring but the U of A goalie is able to get a

Israelis: Do you think Israeli Arabs are treated fairly? - Duration: 13:12.

Do you think the state

or Israeli society

treats the Arab citizens fairly?

Barak Petah Tikva

In a way, yes

In which way yes

You go to the doctors and you see Arab staff

you go to court and see Arab judges

you go anywhere in the social sphere

and there are Arabs there and there are no problems

so I don't see anything unfair

and you?

Same views

How are they not?

How are things not fair?

Yes, you said "in a way"

It's fair but

from the viewpoint that Arab Israelis don't serve in the army

for whatever reasons

because they aren't wanted in the army

No, hold on

The country prefers not to draft Arabs into the army

for reasons of security

Security because they don't trust them

They don't trust them

so from that point of view both sides

so that is not the most fair

because anyone who lives here in the country but doesn't contribute

a person who lives here that we don't trust, we also need to trust them

so there is here a problematic conflict

so in that way

But in the rest of the ways

Arabs have equal rights here for everything

They live here

if not the same, then better than most Jews

the majority live very well

stand on their own

they own their own homes something that we Jews don't have

In some way they even have a privilege

because they have their areas in their villages

that even though they are Israelis Jews rarely go to their areas

also from a police point of view they do whatever they want

building illegally (without zoning permits)

everyone builds where ever they want

which if we (Jews) tried, wouldn't be allowed

The majority of things I brought up

shows that there is a bit of an advantage for Arabs

but not exactly

Do you see areas where it isn't (an advantage)?

let's say in companies that don't want to hire Arabs?

There may be places that won't hire Arabs to work, for sure

A guy who has a small kiosk in the centre of Petah Tikva

will say that he prefers to hire a Jew

Like we said

"we don't trust them" or "it doesn't look good"

But no

actually, I am mistaken

I have a friend who hires an Arab at his kiosk

for years

Shlomo. He is not a friend he is my cousin

He has an Arab worker for many years

An Arab Israeli I can't remember his name but never mind

A question

about Israeli Arabs

Sure

Do you think the state and society

Ahuva and Frida Tel Aviv

give them equal treatment like everyone else?

If we give?

Yes, why not? - We give them, for sure

We give them

We love them

We give them benefits, give them everything

What I wish for my children I also wish for them

That everything will be good

with God's help

There are all types, good and bad

also with the Jews there are good and bad

but they are wonderful people

Let's say...where do you live?

Tel Aviv

Let's say your neighbour is Arab

What? Our neighbour aren't Arabs?! They are

I have but I don't know about you

I have Arab neighbours

and we get along great with them

simply great

So why do they feel not equal?

Not everyone, but some say this

That they are not equal?

There are Arab Israelis that feel the Jews think they are not equal

Their 'jaama' tells them this

Their what?

Their mosques

Their politicians? - Yes

They brainwash them

They brainwash them

but for us (Jews), they are equal

I told you, what I wish for my children

I wish for them

(Arab guy passing by) You don't have a problem with them (Arabs)

I don't

But someone else may care

so what I said...

I always go to Arab places

in their towns and villages

Tira, Kfar Qassem

Don't think I don't

But what? Go to their villages

I go there too and no one ever said that to me

You will hear their brainwashing like you wouldn't believe

Not everyone

What is "jaama"? - their mosque

Mosques

In their mosques

What brainwashing?

They brainwash them

All over they do that

Do you feel that Israeli Arabs

Remil Ashdod

that Israeli Jews treat them fairly?

If the Jews?

If the Jews are okay with the Arabs here

Within Israel, not the West Bank

Yes

Have you seen this with your eyes?

They live here

Give me an example

In general, we work together

if we take our little country of Ace (hardware store)

we work together

Here in the store - Yes

Arabs, Jews, Russians everyone works together

we get along there are no conflicts between us

so this exactly represents the entire country

Here in Israel we are like a family

Including both Jews and Arabs? - Yes

Do you think that Arabs are equal in all ways?

Yes

By law? - Yes, by law

There is nothing that

is an exception

I have rights and they also have rights

Have you ever seen anyone treat Arabs badly?

Everything happens

those are small things

that doesn't represent the entire country

Here and there there are

there are also Israeli Arabs who have fights with Jewish Israelis

or fights with Russians

Russians with Jews

It happens, like in a family

between brothers there are always fights

But not more or less? - No

Not at all

Do you think Arab Israelis are treated fairly?

Sarah Kochav Yair

No

Why not?

In what way?

In health services

Not in health?

You don't know

You have nothing to say

Can you give me a concrete example? - No

I don't know

It's just a general feeling

From what? The news? From what Arabs say?

I don't know

That's just how it looks to me

Natan Jerusalem

"to give respect"

"to suspect"

people might, in general

In Jaffa, that wouldn't happen

No, in Jaffa it would happen

It's not only Jerusalem

Do you think Israeli Arabs

Meirav Tel Aviv

are treated fairly?

Both regular people and the government

Wow, so difficult to answer

In my humble opinion

I believe all people are equal

I think

I will answer it by a question

Do you know anyone who is treated fairly?

I see those who are Eastern Jews (from Arab lands)

who will say that they weren't dealt with fairly

Holocaust survivors who were from Europe

weren't dealt with fairly

the children from Yemen, Ethiopians

I am a Canadian and I feel

that often people here are not being good to me

In Bnai Brak, the ultraorthodox Ashkenazi, Sphardic, also

there is no equality

So regarding your question I think

that (Arabs) are not equal

from the simple and banal reason that

that mixed into everything is a feeling of fear

simple fear

only society can...

You know, when you go abroad

and you are with smokers

and in front of you is sitting an Iranian author

that has a conversation with you

You see that we are the same

the same aspirations

the same feelings

We are equal

It is just that cloud of fear

- it is from the government (from the side)

that cloud causes the inequality

the inequality is not directed at Arab Israelis

it is just about fear

I think also in the United State after September 11th

there were cases people heard people speaking Arabic

and their bodies became tense

It will pass

No one ever thought we would have peace with Egypt

and we have peace

Things happen

Do you think Arab Israelis

that Jews treat them fairly?

Shlomi Tel Aviv

No

Why?

As we say, "we see it"

there are differences

The treatment from the the government is also not equal

Not towards Arabs, towards all citizens

there are still issues

Give an example

with regards to Arab Israelis

I will give an example

In general, the rights that they give to

Israelis

Jews? Jews I mean

Are not the same rights

Look...

Give an example

Like permits for building

there is difficulty

Difficulty for the simple citizen

but more for the Arabs of Israel

So you think there is discrimination?

So an Arab and a Jew go to get permits to build

Either permits or jobs

So it's harder for Arabs? - Yes

Look, we know where we are living

It stems from a fear

our fear as a people that really suffered

but the time has come that we should cut ourselves off from that

and to really be a society that is more tolerant

5 Efective Natural Remedies For Joint - Pain Best Joint Pain Treatment - Duration: 4:24.

five effects of natural remedies for joint pain best joint pain treatment

joint pain is a very common problem with many possible causes but it's usually a

result of injury or arthritis in older people

joint pain that gets steadily worse is usually a sign of osteoarthritis it may

affect just one joint or many see your GP if you have persistent symptoms of

osteoarthritis here are five home remedies that can

relief joint pain one turmeric and ginger tea turmeric and ginger are both

anti-inflammatories and will help with Osito and rheumatoid arthritis turmeric

in particular has gotten a lot of attention lately its active ingredient

is something called curcumin which is a powerful antioxidant in addition it

lowers the levels of two enzymes responsible for causing inflammation

which is what we're often fighting with arthritis you can take these in a

capsule form or make a nice spicy tea to enjoy daily - Epsom salt soak Epsom salt

contains magnesium sulphate which sounds kind of scary but it's really quite a

wonderful substance a naturally occurring mineral magnesium sulfate has

been used to get relief from pain for years namely because of its high levels

of magnesium 3 lubricate with extra virgin olive oil the very consistency of

olive oil makes it seem like something that would lubricate your joints and

ease arthritis pain and it turns out it actually does a main compound in

extra-virgin olive oil babbu called olio canfil inhibits

inflammatory enzymes cox-1 and cox-2 just like Advil or aspirin does the

study showed that 1 and 1/2 tablespoons is equal to 200 milligram of ibuprofen

however not every oil is created equal he destroys Olli oak and so it is

necessary to use extra virgin olive oil or cold-pressed the ripeness of the

olives at the time they were pressed also determines the level of oleo canfil

generally the stronger tasting the oil the higher the level there is present

it can be taken internally to reap the benefits but being high in calories

consider replacing any fats such as butter with it and cooking instead for

dandelion leaves incredibly high in vitamins A and C dandelion leaves can

help repair damaged tissue and help the liver clear toxins out of the blood

studies although limited have also shown anti-inflammatory properties due to the

line oleic and linoleic acid in them line oleic is an essential fatty acid

required by the body to produce prostaglandin which basically regulates

immune responses and suppresses inflammation because of its involvement

with immune responses dandelion shows great potential when it comes to

treating rheumatoid arthritis in particular you can enjoy dandelion

leaves a nice salad or brute tea with them 5 exercise when it's painful and

difficult just to move the last thing you feel like doing is getting up and

exercising as unpleasant as it may sound though exercise is vital for those who

suffer from any form of stiffness joint pain or arthritis exercise will help

control weight an excess of which puts more strain on your joints strengthens

the muscles that support the joint even when the cartilage is thinning and

lubricates the joints allowing them to move more freely when we are inactive

the synovial fluid in the joints is the consistency of a thick gel but once we

get moving and warming up the liquid becomes more viscous and can do a better

job of lubricating our joints and keeping them going smoothly just imagine

if you were to be sedentary everyday pretty soon you would be so stiff it'd

be just about impossible to move but if you get up and move around everyday

you'll get stronger and will loosen up as well

Milwaukee nonprofits get digital relaunches from UWM Nonprof-IT program - Duration: 2:38.

My name is Adam Hudson. I run the Nonprof-IT program. Students work on

teams to create or solve a technology issue for a nonprofit in the Milwaukee

area. Our most typical project would be a website redesign or a brand new website.

A lot of the sites that we handle are sites that are outdated. They

have a site but they were developed in the early 90s or mid-90s. That

has to be up to date, it has to be a presence. Your donors go there. That is

what they see the first. A lot of times that's the first thing they do is Google. We raise money for

spinal cord injury research and to help others out with neurological disorders. We've

had an outdated website, so it's really cool that UWM is putting this on and

willing to help. With this update and with this new site, people see us more as

being current, up to date, and gives us just a little bit more credibility, so it

really means a lot to us. I think with Bryan being there and seeing him

struggle with certain things that he struggles with and seeing yet his

passion in how he carries himself is really inspiring. That project

to me was bigger than just their request for a site.

I feel like meeting the people and seeing their passion in person

really makes you want to find a way to capture it in the website. It's not

just a box they check, it's something that actually touches their community

and their nonprofits. It kind of molded me into understanding how

my skill set can impact the IT world. Even though I'm not a part of that

specific field or that specific organization I'm still making an impact on the world

because I am helping people have access to important information. And one of the

university's missions really is to engage in the community and benefit the

community, and to me there's really no greater example of that than this

program. It's amazing how creative and

knowledgeable they really are. Because the end product I don't know if you'd

notice the difference if it was somebody that we paid $2,000 or $3,000 to or if it was

the students at UWM. The biggest impact on me personally, I would say, is

just the confidence of my skills. You actually get a project to add to your

portfolio. Like, when you're done, it's a real project, you're working on a

real thing. Without the Nonprof-IT program

I don't feel like I would have anything in my portfolio. This experience definitely

helped me get a job. That was one of the first questions they asked me on my

interview was oh, so you develop websites, you worked with nonprofits, that's great.

You know, IT is more than just sitting behind a computer and putting in code —

you can really help others.
