Adrenaline Orbs/SOS (Monkiez) Pokemon Sun and Moon introduced us to an all
new mechanic like we've never seen.
GameFreak decided to strip us of the amazing horde encounter feature and give us one of
the most annoying things ever, the S.O.S. encounters.
Now don't get me wrong if youre a shiny hunter or ev trainer, its amazing for you,
but I'm neither of those.
I'm sure many of you can probably understand how annoying it is to run into a wild pokemon
early game, and not being able to not living it in one shot.
It calls an ally and there's no escape… you're trapped, the wild rattata has got
you forever, and ever and ever and ever *beep*.
But in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon this all changed.
The S.O.S encounter was nerfed extremely, the main change was that the wild pokemon
would only call for one Pokemon without the use of an adrenaline orb.
Now this may not seem like a big deal but in the grand scheme of things it saves a lot
of time while going through wild battles.
Now it does nerf shiny hunting and training your stats, but if youre just trying to casually
play through the games the corrections for the S.O.S method just take an annoying weight
off your shoulders.

Tutorial Sequence (Eryzio) Although Pokemon Sun and Moon were overall
great games, I think we can all admit that that begining tutorial sequence was more than
a bit too long.
Like seriously it was almost an hour long.
And when I was trying to get through the very begining of pokemon sun and moon, I found
myself having to constantly put down the game because the long tutorial really bored the
crap out of me.
But Luckily in the sequels they recognized this problem and shortened the tutorial sequence
significantly.
So now instead of wasting about an hour of my time working through the tutorial, its
now more like 15 to 30 mins.
And on top of that they also made the starters accessible right off the bat, which makes
it a lot easier on people soft resetting for shiny starters.
Plus I like the challenge the spearow give you too so that's cool.
I still think it's a bit too long though but hey, at least it's better than what
it used to be.
3.
Obtaining Zygarde 100% (Monkiez) In generation 6 we were introduced to a bunch
of new Zygarde forms.
Though there wasn't any way to obtain them back then, with the release of Pokemon Sun
and Moon we were actually able to use them in battle, but the process was so god damn
long.
On the Second Island professor sycamore's aid's Dexio and Sino gave us the Zygarde
Cell Cube.
Our job was to now travel the alola region and scavenge for these cells in every corner
we would find.
Many people honestly just gave up or chose to gen in their zygarde, like me.
Game Freak realized that it was too hard of a mission to get a form of a Pokemon so in
Ultra Sun and Moon, it all changed for the better.
Instead of having to search for the Zygarde cells the forms are actually handed to you…
kinda.
After catching Zygarde in his 50% form all you need to do is battle Dexio and Sina on
Route 16, you'll get a Zygarde 10% form and a Cube with 40 zygarde cells, throw that
in a machine and BOOM, theres your Zygarde 100% form, way better than traveling the entire
region for these tiny, miniscule cells.
2.
Ultra Wormhole Exploration (Eryizo) Something I really wanted to do while I was
playing pokemon sun and moon is traverse through ultra space and explore what it has to offer.
Unfortunately besides the awesome final boss battle you have with nihilego lusamine there
isn't any other time where you get a chance to explore ultra space.
But in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon my prayers were answered and after getting through
game you and your legendary pokemon are free to travel through the many worlds in ultra
space.
And I must admit although the minigame is tough, it's really really fun to do.
I also really love the new system of encountering ultra beasts, you can tell gamefreak put a
lot of time and effort into the several worlds created for each ultra beasts.
I like how they gave a much better reason to intergrate the old legendaries into these
games too, they're not just here because, they're from those dimensions Overall the
Ultra Space exploration is all I dreamed it to be and more.
Great job on this one game freak you never cease to amaze me. ( have it fade but I interupt)
Also thanks for making shinies easier to find

Increasing the Difficulty (Monkiez) After all the amazing changes made to the
games we finally are here, what can possibly be better than all the changes made that we've
listed so far?
This is a huge change that fans have been asking for for years and gamefreak has finally
done it.
This honestly could've been done years ago but for some reason Game Freak decided not
to make this change.
The number one Correction to Ultra Sun and Moon is the increasing of the difficulty.
Now I know this seemed kind of obvious and shouldn't have been on the list, but the
changes go deeper than you may think.
For one, the changes in the Totem Pokemon were a major factor in the increasing of difficulty.
Totem Wishiwashi was changed to a Totem Araquanid, this limits your choice of moves as the grass
type would actually lose in this battle, its an advantage that only existed with Wishiwashi.
Next the Totem Salazzle was changed to a Totem Marowak, this doesn't seem like that big
of a deal but the Marowaks only ally Pokemon was a Salazzle and having to take on a salazzle
and alolan marowak at the same time is a huge pain in the neck.
The Totem Togedamaru was changed from a Vikavolt, this may seem like a good thing but it also
created a bigger challenge by increasing it from level 29 to 33.
The same applies for the Mimikyu trial as it went to level 35.
And of course, the god foresaken Totem Ribombee, with the allies Blissy and Pelliper *sigh*
don't get me started.
And of course the final boss battle, remember the Lusamine battle in the original games?
Yeah… this was that fight on steriods.
There are way more changes and level increases added to the games but it's way too much
for me to go into, brushing the surface alone was already a lot.
Monkiez: So that is going to be it for this video-
