Waching daily Dec 10 2017

hello everybody I'm gonna present you today how to make a bench power supply

out of this DVD player as you can see it here alright so let's get started for

this project we're gonna need an old DVD player preferably functional some kind

of container or plastic thingy to put the power supply in or lab bench power

supply for this project I'm going to use this old nail polisher bottle it's

alright and funny shape and this all DVD we're going to open it up this stuff

you're going to use the power supply of it and as well these connectors here

okay alright friends we are back now we have the main board which is this one

over here this is the power supply of that DVD that I should record here it's

got here a switch which is convenient this is the input side that goes to the

mains and here normally it's got some output as we can see here we got a

ground symbol here so I'm using this one is going to have two outputs probably 5

volts and 12 15 or so yeah let's put it in the mains and test it out to see what

voltage is going to give us our future power supply ha mate yeah alright so we

have the board we have this connector that we're going to plug into the main

so be very careful when you're going to use them

the mains voltage we're gonna connect it we're going to flip it over and we're

going to start from here and measure this outputs always connect your finger

to the cable before you're going to plug it to the mains okay we have our power

supply and we're going to connect it to the mains

all right so no sparks or nothing all right

so now we're very careful what you're gonna hear this board just flip it over

we got a switch here and now with our voltmeter then go into the 20 range 20

volts range power it up oh okay so no sparks it's okay it's working yeah let's

see so I said this one over - all right so we got a 4.5 volts and 12 so we have

figured out the pins is this one here which is 16 come on 16 points free and

this one

these 4.6

all right so we're gonna have to output 15 16 volts and 4.5 5 volts alright so

let's proceed alright so we have our board we have

this plastic container we're going to measure bottle like so we're going to

cut it open we're gonna insert it inside and then we're going to solder the

connection to the this RCA connection alright stay tuned we have all the parts

necessary we have the connector I have the power supply over the DVD we have

the case and we're gonna use this 1 DVD to transfer the templates on this side

basically we're gonna need a switch which we're gonna put it somewhere here

I'm gonna mark it and transfer it to our thing

so I have the the switch and we're gonna put a little streak connectors let's see

I'm gonna put like so to be in line with the switch this is just for looking nice

my friends we have managed to have all the parts the container the power supply

the connectors and switch on and off we're going to introduce all this stuff

in this box here let's see if we're going to manage to hold on to the wires

I'm going to introduce this one in the Box time on page one so let's bring in a

plaque right place we're gonna put these cables through this hole in the back

they're going to be the main or what you see right careful as well look how nice

it's sliding in almost perfect something is happening and the wire is kind of big

a free motion stuff and I friends one more try

I have to make some minor adjustments to the hole in the back here nice joy

slide it all the way that's it let's try it one more time

yeah that's more like E

alright folks after a long process we have managed to assemble the power

supply we have here the switch we have here the input from the mains

and the board in the inside here now we can adjust put in the switch then tilt

it into position let's see which one up on now like this

it's better like so slide it in sit tight in perfectly adjust it

yeah that's it and now I have to move for you to be the board to be able to

slide in the connectors I said this one is 12 volts so I have to tilt this one

we have to put something in between these wires and the board be back so

that's it folks we managed to assemble the power supply we're just going to

need to put a screw here to hold on the connectors there this is it friends our

finished product our lab bench power supply

homemade we got two outputs for 15 kinda and 5 volts on switch and this is the

thing what do you think huh looks kind of shitty but he's gonna do the job so

it was free so you cannot complain about it

to connect to those thingies we're gonna use this one as well as from from the

DVD player as well so let's connect it and then a multimeter test alright

friends we have connected our power supply to the mains power switch right

we're gonna connect the probe to the 15 volts output we're gonna turn it on and

we will see if we're gonna get 15 volts here we go fourteen point six yeah so

it's working let's connect it now to the second output this okay alright yeah

four point two that was all for us today friends thanks all for watching see you

next time in the meanwhile thumbs up subscribe and the full project is gonna

be on the description below on to instructables.com thanks for watching

see you next time bye bye a power bank babe

The Ball Between The Knees Golf Drill - Duration: 3:39.

Hello.

I'm Brian Fitzgerald The Golf Doctor.

And if you grew up in the 70's and you developed the 70's leg swing a la Tom Weiskopf.

It's also known these days as having sloppy legs.

I've got a great way to cure it.

Stay tuned.

[MUSIC]

OK.

So if this is your first time to this channel.

Welcome.

This channel is all about helping you play better golf.

Now I have been a golf pro now for 33 years.

And in that time I've seen a lot of changes to how the golf swing has evolved.

Back when I grew up playing golf in the early 70's.

It was totally different to the swings that the tour players have today.

And one of the hallmarks was getting a lot of leg movement through the ball.

There was a lot of sliding of the hips.

Incredible to see how difference how different it was then to how it is now.

And what triggered this is I gave a client a lesson here the other day.

He grew up playing hos junior golf in the 70's.

And he has got the beautiful 70's action.

And he certainly got a lot of leg shift.

And I call it Tom Weiskopf legs.

If you look at Tom Wesikopf.

Great player, I love watching him.

His legs were very sloppy through the shot.

And this client had exactly the same thing.

So there was a lot of inconsistent contact.

So his strike was very, very inconsistent.

He would hit one fat, one thin.

And he just could not get the ball in the middle of the clubface.

So what I did during the lesson is I grabbed one of these spiky balls.

And got him to put the ball between the knees.

And just got him to hit a half shot.

So in doing that you will see that my left leg stays a lot stiffer through the shot.

There is no lifting bending.

So if I do the wrong swing and I do that.

You can see the ball comes out.

So this is a good one to just firm up the legs.

It actually works really well when you hit a pitch shot.

Because quite often when people are pitching.

There legs get a little bit on the sloppy side.

So it's a terrific drill to stop doing that.

I will just hit a half shot here.

So it just firms everything up.

Gets everything in the right sequence.

It stops my left leg or my left knee from popping out.

As soon as that pops out.

I get lower to the ground.

And I hit the ground behind.

Either that or I will compensate.

So if you just hit a few shots.

It doesn't really matter which club.

I'm making really solid contact with that.

And you can see my leg action has improved.

So give that a try.

Not only will it work on full seven irons.

All of your irons, driving, It works really well on pitching.

When I see someone hitting bad pitch shots.

Quite often there is far too much leg action.

And they get anxious.

It's a great drill to help prevent that.

Thank you for letting me help you with your golf.
