few drinks, few laughs

Then Tuesday it's pints with the lads from school

Wednesday it's the college crew

Then the tag rugby meet up,

The big Christmas bash for the

Clontarf hiking club

I only went to one meet in 2009,

but I still get the invite.

3 WhatsApp groups

all organising 12 pubs of Christmas

That's 36 pubs of Christmas

I live in a small Irish town,

there's only 31 pubs!

and I'm running out of Christmas jumpers

that aren't covered in puke.

Hi everyone,

Today we are going to look into the second

keyword of Bitcoin, #FreedomOfTransaction.

#FreedomOfTransaction

Opening a bank account, getting a credit card

and so on..You might take the activities

for granted.

What if you need to live abroad for one year

without any helps?

Let's say you go to the bank.

To open a new account, the bank will ask you

some documents for submission.

In the United States, you must have a valid ID

like social security number or ARC cards.

Still, if your credit rating is not up to the banks

stated requirement, it is impossible for you

to open any accounts and

getting new credit cards, too.

All the benefits we have aren't natural.

The reason we can benefit is only

because we meet the certain conditions.

Where does financial constraints come from?

Financial services are normally delivered by

the third party in the real world.

The management should reach an agreement

under rules and need participants

with a proven record for mutual trust.

If one of three conditions is missing,

it is hard to use the financial system.

Bitcoin do not require any verification process

to join the network.

It is a completely open network for anyone

who want to join or leave.

To recap, in Bitcoin system, you can easily

benefit from the financial services

without the third parties' permission

as long as you have internet connection.

You can trade the value beyond nation borders.

What's the meaning of exchanging

the values beyond the borders?

Like the case in the United States, let's suppose

you couldn't open a bank account, so

ask your trusty American friend to receive

the remittance from your parents in Korea.

Your parents will go to the bank in Korea and

ask the bank to send some money

to the United States.

The bank asked them to fill out many information

in details like sender, recipient, the recipient's

address and so on..

Next, the bank needs to verify the information.

Identification can be considered

a sort of censorship.

However, Bitcoin is censorship-resistant.

Without collecting extra information, asking

the third parties' permissions, participants

can freely trade in coins in the network.

The addresses from two parties are only required.

Any personal information are not required to

set up a new Bitcoin Wallet.

Also, the transaction records can be only verified

in Y/N status, so it is virtually impossible

to put censorship on transactions.

People would know if you informed

the ownership of your wallet to others.

What is so big deal about authorized

ownership?

The existing financial system process the

transactions with various measures in

the centralized environment.

Accordingly,

There are possibilities that you could be

banned from transaction process at first

or the transaction could be cancelled.

Let's suppose if you become an illegal ailen

due to an unknown error of national database

system. All financial services you benefited

from can be stopped.

Which means, the center is capable of

taking control of individual freedom.

To recap, Bitcoin gurantee freedom of

transaction and participation for every

participant who join the network,

having censorship-resistance.

It becomes available to trade the values

without the third party's approval through

Bitcoin environment.

This change could be a great start to

open up the infinite possibilities for 2.5 billions

people in the world who haven't benefited

basic financial services.

Hiking Point Reyes National Seashore in CA - Duration: 4:06.

Hi! I'm Lara from En Route Traveler and I'm coming to

from Point Reyes National Seashore in California.

Point Reyes is a hiker's paradise.

It's only about a 90-minute drive north of the San Francisco Bay Area

and you'll encounter all different types of trails

that lead through beautiful coastal beaches, grasslands,

forests, and even marshes.

I got to the famous lighthouse a little too early today,

I didn't realize that it opened at 10:00

so I took a little detour and I'm taking the short trail to Chimney Rock

to get some views of the dramatic coastline.

I am in my happy place right now!

I've got water to the left of me, water to the right.

This Chimney Rock Trail is beautiful because

it follows a peninsula that juts into the middle of the ocean and the bay.

I arrived just in time to get a ranger tour of the lighthouse and it was really

fascinating to understand the mechanics of how it worked.

Back then, they didn't have electricity so it required a lot more manpower.

This afternoon, I'm hiking the Tamales Point Trail

on the northern end of the park.

I don't know if you can see, but there's still quite a few wildflowers in bloom

even though the seasons about to end.

I'm a little disappointed because I didn't get to finish this hike.

It's just gonna take a little too long, I still have to drive 45 minutes back

to the hostel and grab dinner before a moonlight hike tonight.

I cut it short, but I don't regret it because the scenery is gorgeous.

All I'm missing are some beautiful bluffs with waves crashing into them.

That was incredible! I was hiking and then all of a sudden I realized I was

surrounded by wild elk.

I just stood there and watched them and they watched me

and we had a connection.

Now I'm king of glad that I head back early because I got to see them up close.

How to make chocolate peppermint pretzels

What we're going to do with this nice chocolate is make little pretzel white chocolate bites,

We're going to add some crushed candy canes to them.

Though you have a resilient personality, you may not know that actually you are inviting

toxic people into your life.

You may draw them because of your positive qualities.

Avoiding toxic people is not always possible, especially when they are relatives or colleagues.

You can distance yourself from them, or ignoring them, but what if they insist on your company,

and always seek your attention?

In this video I'm going to show you 5 reasons why mentally strong people attract toxic people.

If you feel you are surrounded by toxic people, though you have a strong personality, you

may have one of these traits, just know that they may attract people you should avoid.

1.

You have excellent listening skills

First of all, your listening skills may backfire on you.

It is hard to find someone who will listen to your problems because technology shortens

attention spans.

If you are willing to give a listening ear, you will find toxic people coming to offload

their problems on you.

2.

You are an open book.

Mentally strong people are honest.

Do you find yourself sharing the details of your life freely?

If you are an open book, people are going to come and read you.

While this is a merit, it does have that downside.

Toxic people will surround you because of your straightforward nature.

3.

You are generous with your time.

You may spend a little too much time listening to complaints.

While being there for others is commendable, it will make you a draw for toxic people.

They will take advantage of you because they know that you are always there for them.

4.

You are laid back

Everyone will surround you if you love to crack jokes and just relax.

This quality makes you a magnet for people, including the toxic ones.

You have an easygoing nature, so they will try to manipulate you.

5.

You have a positive world view

Human nature is innately positive, and you may believe this with a passion.

However, this does not describe everyone.

You may become a toxic dumping ground because of your belief in the best in people.

Now that the signs are clear, you may wonder what kind of toxic people that attracted to

mentally strong people.

Here are a few characters that you should cross off your list of friends.

1.

The Superficial Thinker

First of all is the shallow thinker.

These people chat incessantly about their favorite movie stars and when their idols

are coming to town.

You will also find them gossiping about others.

You will discover that it is hard for them to discuss issues that matter.

It is wise to surround yourself with friends who can discuss thought-provoking subjects.

2.

The Apathetic Sloth

Do you have a friend who is interested in nothing?

Is he too lazy to join you in activities?

While he is an otherwise nice fellow, you may not want to draw him too close to you.

You will become complacent yourself because it is so hard to push him forward.

3.

The Boastful Beast

Next is the person who loves to prove his worth.

While he may have something to show off, this quality is annoying because it takes attention

away from the achievements of others.

He may impress, but his 'wow' factor lasts a short time.

People come to realize how he puts them down.

4.

The Cynic

This relative or friend raises his eyebrows whenever you share your dreams and aspirations

with him.

He is the first to say 'That will never work out,' and sees your positive attitude

as unrealistic.

While keeping your head on the ground is a good trait, being told that you cannot do

anything stops you from going anywhere.

5.

The War Monger

Lastly, you may have a friend who is a pseudo Genghis Khan.

He expects you to take his side in every conflict, no matter if he is right.

He obsesses with every quarrel and keeps mentioning it.

This friend will ostracize you because you do not take his side.

The War Monger is hot-headed and refuses to acknowledge his faults.

He has an unreasonable, negative personality that is hard to manage, so avoid being drawn

into his battles.

So, how to actually break away from toxic people if we already have a relationship with

them?

Often, people are toxic because they have suffered trauma or met stressful situations

in their lives.

Though they need support, their behavior is toxic, so you must protect yourself from it.

First of all, prepare yourself before talking to a toxic person.

Do not spend more time with him than necessary and avoid sharing personal information because

he may use it against you.

Next, sympathize with him if you know that he is going through a difficult time.

While you may acknowledge his circumstances, do not let him use them as excuses to become

abusive.

And then, a toxic person loves a pity party.

He enjoys sending people on guilt trips.

Recognize his need for empathy, but do not let him upset you.

Remember that his behavior, though understandable, is not acceptable.

Lastly, set boundaries.

Realize when a toxic person is infringing upon you, and let him know that has.

All in all, being mentally strong may make you center for toxic people, but awareness

and a few strategies will help you manage them.

So, that is the reasons why mentally strong people attract toxic people.

So today's video is going to be all, about meat aka

Animal flesh i want to talk, about some things that i didn't say and my vegan story

Because that was just about how. I found veganism but, i haven't talked, about my personal real

feelings and thoughts

about

eating meat and

animal, by-products

Before i started to look into veganism and i think the reason i started thinking about this is because i've been binge watching

Gilmore girls on netflix and if you've ever seen, that show

You know that they eat a lot, like, they show, them eating or?

Finding food or talking about food most of the time on the show

And almost every episode it's like, they're at their parents house, and they're always asking how, did you like your braised, lamb, how

Did you, like the pork, do you, like, chicken there's always so much talk of me, my, life, before veganism

when i was a huge meat-eater i mean i a

pork

chicken

beef

turkey and the most exotic i ever went with lamb i

Feel almost like the admitting i would eat lamb

When i would have euros and i had euros quite often as a teenager into early adulthood

I think back on it and i'm just like

What, was wrong with, me i've seen, lambs they're, these. Cute little

fluffy things

and

I think, about that with all animals now i look at them, and i'm just like they're so beautiful they're so unique and special

But it's hard to think that when

you

Go, to the grocery store and you just get this piece of flesh it's just a piece of them that's already dead and decaying and

Then you cook it up and it's normal you know, so normalized in our?

Society so not eating animal flesh is weird but that's, okay i've always been a little bit weird

But i was eating meat with pretty much every meal breakfast lunch and dinner

I was always eating meat like for breakfast i would have usually breakfast sausage sometimes bacon on the weekends

And then for lunch i would have lunch meat like on sandwiches or

Torn up into salads and then for dinner i don't know i'd have

Chicken a burger when i order pizza from pizza hut i would get the meat lovers

Like all kinds of meat all over it so when people say, oh i couldn't become vegan because i can't, give up

Blank, and i'm thinking i didn't become vegan because i thought i could, give up all this stuff

i'm one of the last people i thought

Would ever go vegan i was all about my bacon and i was all about?

My meat lovers everything

Sometimes i would have meat on its own as a snack or a meal with no vegetables no starches no other foods like

That's how much of a meat-eater i was in fact most vegans probably have said i could never go vegan

Before they went vegan and i don't know. Maybe it's taboo, no of any vegans who have

Openly admitted or said hey i think meat tastes good but. You know i'm just i'm just gonna be honest with you guys

But when you really think, about it it only tastes good after its baked

fried

grilled

breaded seasoned very, well

Marinated, we basically make it taste and look so much different than it would if we were true?

carnivores and we were going out and

Hunting it ourselves like running after it biting open its neck or something it doesn't look like

That like how it should if we were two carnivores and actually when i think, about it it just seems like so much work

Julie if you think, about it i mean having to let the animals throat on your own or?

Put a bullet in the head, and then have to take all the like skin it take all the fur off

The cheek the insides like that just seems crazy to me

Now i'm just like i ever had to do it myself i would have been at least

Vegetarian all along but instead the meat industry basically

Injects the meat with, these chemicals or dyes to make it look more red, and that's probably because as

Herbivores we naturally are?

attracted to fruits and vegetables because of their bright colors

We're not really as attracted to something that's dark. Gray, and brown and decaying and rotting

That we're trying to keep fresh and we also season all of our meat tastes basically like?

More like plants that's what spices and herbs and seasonings are essentially

It's almost like we're tricking our mind and bodies to be interested in eating something that, we normally?

Wouldn't eat because it's foreign to our body and it's hard to digest i've, also been thinking about

Memories that i'm not so proud of things i've said, are things that i've done involving you know

these poor animals and the two that stand out most to me is

One time for valentine's day i got bacon roses they were what they sound, like, they, were actually

bacon

Spiraled up put on a stem to look like a rose

And because i was so into bacon i was so excited and i ate it right away and i took pictures of it?

Posted it on social media the second time, was when i?

Made a burger patty at home and for whatever reason it was it came out the shape of like a heart

Because it was the ground, beef that you eat mold yourself

and i thought it was so cute and so adorable that i

took, a picture of it over, my heart and

Put that on social media as well thinking it was the cutest

funniest

most coincidental thing

Now i can look, back on it and be like what the hell, was i thinking, why, would i ever do that that's crazy?

But like i said, when things are just all

Neatly, packaged and you don't see, what happens to it before you get it in the store before you bring it home

There's a huge disconnect

and you think of

Animal flesh is just a product just a thing it's

No, longer alive it has no character or personality it's just an

object

After doing, my research and finally confronting, my conscience i gave up eating animals and animal by-products

Altogether it was the only thing that made sense, we didn't need it to be healthy, we didn't need it to survive

We didn't need it for essential nutrients that, we were not going to get besides b12 but you can, always supplement that that's easy

and even with giving up all of those things i don't, miss it at all i

Thought i would, miss meat like crazy

After eating it three times a day almost for over two decades and i don't i don't?

Miss it at all i don't crave it i don't see it smell it and be like

Oh, i wish i had that there are so many mock meats out there that if i do feel like

Oh, i want something a little different like i'm gonna add

Orange chicken to my, meal or i want to have a, burger that's not a veggie burger, like i can always find those options

They're, everywhere and even though, when i make videos you know

you See a lot in my fridge and my freezer i have a lot of mock meats at times but i don't eat them every

Day i eat them maybe a couple few times a week?

If that but for the most part i focus on just eating

Whole grains rice potatoes

Vegetables fruit pasta i really like spaghetti so although i didn't have to sacrifice taste

Or convenience really i mean maybe just a tiny bit but if i have to drive a little bit further

To find a restaurant that's vegan or has vegan options or if i have to research the menu a little bit more before i go

To, a, new place to eat or if i have to pack my lunch to make sure i go

Somewhere to have it that's that's totally worth it but i can, no longer

tell, myself it was okay, to put my money towards an animal being raised, and

Probably, killed very young, so i'm like six months or year old for a sandwich for like five minutes

That burger for a few minutes is not worth?

Lifetime of pain and suffering for an innocent being

especially as much as i was eating them i

contributed to thousands of animals

Being put to death being slaughtered just so i could eat something that i got thought tastes so good

And then when i started transitioning to vegan and i started eating some of those things again?

When i was going back, and forth it did not taste the same food

Animals me that if animal cruelty just doesn't taste the same

Death, doesn't taste the same to me anymore it tastes gross i do not, want to make my body a graveyard i could

no, longer be selfish knowing, what i knew

Just for tastes hannibal was in the courtroom and the judge asked him, why

Did you eat so many people and he just said, because they taste good

That's not a good enough reason?

It's never a good enough reason that is my final thoughts for today if you, want to continue following

In some respects I take ages making certain decisions and you help people

with the decision making process. So can you give me one tip to help me

not take so long keep making certain decisions?

So one of my favourite ideas

around decision making is again to start reviewing the decisions that you've made

in the past, the outcome that it's given you and whether that's an outcome that

you want it or not, right, so stupid example, I'm a compulsive buyer,

I bought this hat walking in here today, so, I compulsively buy things and I

realized at some point that I've made the decision to buy and it's not really what

what I wanted to do. So I said, okay, let me put a rule in place for

this and the rule just became, if you are gonna spend anything more than a

thousand bikes on a purchase wait 24 hours, but if it was gonna be an

impulsive buy, it's more than thousand bucks you wait 24 hours then you go make

the purchase, if you still want to do it, so I'm a big fan of thinking about the

decisions you made and the outcome it gave you and then if you keep making bad

decisions then just start thinking about a simple rule that you can implement

that will negate that decision, but when you get to it you don't even need to

make it you just fall back onto your rule, your rule makes the decision for

you, and then you go from there.

But what about, what if it's a business

decision as opposed to a purchase?

Yeah, obviously there's different levels

of complexity, and I think in many ways the same thing applies where if

you've made bad decisions in the past regarding business you could still

implement a rule right, because you'll always have spontaneous decisions

and then decisions that can be delayed a little bit, so especially the

ones we can delay but your implement certain rule and the rule might just be

that, you know, before I make a big decision I'm gonna go and sit with my

mastermind, you know yeah so I think it's important and hopefully that over

time when you start spotting your own patterns in your decision-making process

you'll be able to make better decisions on the fly.

And you think stress hinders the decision making process?

Oh, for sure, yeah because I mean we know

that stress has a whole range of biological functions, one of it is to

release cortisol which affects your anterior cortex and that's

where you make decisions right, that's where the type two decision-making comes

from, which is slow deliberate decision making.
