Yu Suzuki interview (Gamescom 2017) by Shenmue Master [ENGLISH] - Duration: 14:56.
In August 2017, Gamescom was held in Germany.
It is one of the most important gaming conventions in Europe.
With the announcement of a new partnership with publisher Deep Silver,
Yu Suzuki was present to share development progress with various media
and meet fans of his work over signing sessions.
Shenmue Master once again had the great honour to speak directly with the father of the saga.
And as usual, we took the opportunity to interview him
and go deeper in our understanding of the various aspects of this masterpiece we treasure so much
called... Shenmue.
If Shenmue is highly praised,
I think we may find part of the answer within subtlety and the depth of the theme sitcovers.
The gentle nostalgia for Japan of the Showa era,
the introspection of a puerile feeling of revenge,
the fulfilment through travelling and meeting people, etc...
So many subjects that Shenmue treats with the sensitivity of true author's work.
A certain maturity in the choice and treatment of themes that are a bit unusual in the video game industry.
Today, surveys reveal that the average age of Shenmue fans is between 30 and 35 years old.
Production of Shenmue I & II was huge inside the AM2 studio of SEGA.
Budget, development time, number of workers... everything suggests
that Yu Suzuki was the head of one of the most ambitious works of its time.
Paradoxically, Shenmue has been reborn as a Kickstarter indie project,
and Yu Suzuki now has to deal with a team smaller than he had in the past.
In the past few years, many people have raised questions
about the lack of risktaking, originality and creativity within the gaming industry.
Having a bland vision of modern gaming is not uncommon
and it's easy to think that games are now too generic and moreover "disposable".
Interactivity is an inherent part and the very essence of video gaming.
In Shenmue I & II, the tool of interactivity has been wisely used to immerse the player in the Shenmue universe
and let him experiment with quite unusual things.
At a time when Game Design schools are teaching an meticulous calibration of a game's rhythm,
the stabbing rhythm of a Shenmue conducive to contemplation and relaxingwalks may seem backbreaking for excited gamers.
At Shenmue Master, we deeply appreciate the particular pace of Shenmue I & 2
which fluctuates between gentle peacefulness, invigorating escalation and sheer turbulence.
That said the question arises.
Yu Suzuki greatly appreciates the Chinese culture.
He mentioned it in many interviews and conferences.
For more than 15 years, Shenmue fans have dreamt about finally entering the "Miao Village" that Shenhua likes to talk about.
The Miao are one of the 55 minority groups recognized by the Chinese government
and are mainly located in the remote lands of South China.
Ren's character has brought some humor into Shenmue II.
Mischievous, quite wily and contemptous...
Ren starred in many scenes that did not go unnoticed and certainly made you smile if not laugh.
I don't know for you, but within Shenmue Master, we have been wondering for a long time
about the meaning of the eagle in the Shenmue saga.
Beyond their evocative power during the iconic intros of Shenmue I & II,
let's not forget that a sculpture of an eagle can be found in the Hazuki Dojo basement which belonged to Iwao Hazuki.
It was too good an opportunity to miss:

It's already my 4th interview for Shenmue Master
and I can never thank you enough for your invaluable support.
As we're not professionnal, our trip to Germany was full of obstacles
but I'm still astonished to see how our unexpected new meeting
demonstrated once again the sincere esteem Yu Suzuki has for the fans of his work.
Let's celebrate, Shenmue III is coming, thanks to the recent support of publisher Deep Silver.
And if the progress videos intended primarily for investors can be misinterpreted,
let's not forget that Yu Suzuki claimed that the real marketing campaign will only start in 2018.
Finally, be aware that we, the Shenmue Master team appreciate Shenmue precisely for its background.
In this regard, with the benefit of this new interview,
we are eager like never before to continue Ryo's journey deep inside China
along with characters who still have a lot to tell us.

Failed Democrat presidential nominee and the world�s biggest excuse-maker, Hillary Rodham
Clinton, appeared Monday on Comedy Central�s �The Daily Show� for a brief cameo in
what has been described as the �Song for Women 2017.�
Apparently, she�s a singer now. Who knew?
According to BizPac Review, �The Daily Show� correspondents Desi Lydic and Dulc� Sloan
pieced together a song to celebrate the accomplishments achieved by women in 2017, and for some reason
they asked Clinton to participate in it.
But nowhere in the song was there a single reference to the first woman to run a successful
presidential campaign, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, or the first mother to serve
as the White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
There was, however, the reference to Clinton, a woman who spent the entire year listing
off excuse after excuse after excuse for why Donald Trump defeated her in the 2016 presidential
election.
Talk about a real winner �

As noted by the Los Angeles Times, the song also �included references to the Women�s
March, Sen. Elizabeth Warren�s persistence, �Wonder Woman�s� box office dominance,
Cardi B�s chart topper, the birth of Beyonc�s twins, Harvey Weinstein and Hollywood�s
sexual harassment problem and more.�
Elizabeth Warren�s persistence? At what? Being a liar who continues to falsely pretend
to be a Native American Indian? Please �
And the Women�s March? Really? As a reminder, one of the women who organized that pitiful
affair, Islamist Linda Sarsour, was recently accused of covering up sexual assault.
�A fellow Muslim woman named Asmi Fathelbab has gone public with accusations that she
was repeatedly sexually assaulted during her employment with the Arab American Association
while Sarsour was its director,� the Conservative Tribune reported earlier this week.
When Fathelbab confronted Sarsour about these accusations, she reportedly not only dismissed
them but then threatened to fire Fathelbab.
Let�s be real: The so-called Women�s March and everything it represented isn�t relevant
to actual American women. Neither is Clinton, who for the record accomplished nothing noteworthy
in 2017 � and darn little for Americans in her entire career.
She�s a veritable has-been, and while her appearance in the video by �The Daily Show�
is admittedly a little cute and funny � though bad for the ears � I don�t think it�s
going to improve her tarnished image, let alone increase her chances of winning in 2020
(assuming she runs again).
But look, Clinton can do what she wants. I just hope no impressionable young girls get
the wrong idea from this music video.
Fact: Clinton isn�t a woman to look up to � and neither are Elizabeth Warren nor Linda
Sarsour, for that matter.

oh when I get up but I probably should it's past 1:00 p.m. but today's Tuesday
and that's like my weekend so I'm not that upset with myself
plus it's raining out so for the record I think I woke up at 9:00 but it just
didn't make sense to get up that early when it's raining so I grumpy right now
so I work pretty far away so I came back from work I'm like running off for hours
of sleep gather my stuff and then I come for this meeting and then the meeting
was cancelled and no one told me something it was not on top of like
awkward embarrassing but now I have to drive back and I've been driving to rush
hour and my phone is terrible I have sprint I don't know if some setting got
messed up on my phone but the GPS will work and then it'll just be all spotty
and it's never been like this before it's been happening the past month and
it's terrible because you know maybe once I'm on the tollway I know where I'm
going but these side streets to get around I'm not like an expert at it so
bad okay oh there's a little bit of light okay
like do you see that my shirt shining okay I'm leaving I'm tired I just want
to take it now it's the 21st and I am just now going
Christmas shopping so I found a calendar for mom on Amazon
but it's you know I'm not gonna pay for expedited shipping for a calendar that
she's gonna need in 2018 so I am here at oh you came and see Barnes and Noble
and I'm gonna go get her a book and then I think I'm gonna get her trash bags cuz
she actually needs trash bags kind of which I was whistling oh yeah sorry I
thought they were backing into the spot

made into a major motion picture but yes mom and I were recommended this
book so I guess she's reading it first and then I'll read it

Microphone Jacks, Simple Adapters or Connectors TS, TRS to TRRS for Smartphones or Cameras Review - Duration: 4:40.
Hi, I'm back with video #7 in my six video series, about microphones! I
guess this is going to be bonus #1 because I think I might have a bonus
#2, as well. In my previous six videos, I've been talking about different
kinds of microphones, but as I was doing this, I realized if you're starting out,
sometimes different kinds of plugs or adapters, that take your microphone into
your camera, your computer, your smartphone - it can be a bit confusing
when you first start out. I aim to un-confuse you today. My name is Sue
Ferreira from Wisdom To Wealth Mastery, where I help you take all the wisdom you
got up here and take it out to the world using video, so you can help many, many
more people with your wisdom. Let's get back to the different kinds of
microphone plugs or adapters you may come across. There's three basic
types - the first one is this one, which you'll be pretty
familiar with. It's the one that looks like the one that plugs in your
headphone jack. It's a 3.5 millimetre jack.
It works for cameras, for smart phones and with adapters, you can make it work
with different kinds of plug ins, There's a little complication to it, so I'll come
back to that in a minute. Secondly, there is the USB connector on the
USB microphone and I'm going to deal with them in my second bonus video, my
video #8 in my series of 6 videos. Thirdlym there's the more professional
XLR plug and I'm not going to deal with that today 'cos I'm interested in
getting you started and an XLR setup usually requires a little bit more
sophistication. Curtis judd who has some great reviews, if you want
voltages and more information and I'm going to put the link to one of Curtis Judd's
videos in the description below. For the rest of this video, I'm just going to
talk about these 3.5 mm jacks. Of course, to make
life confusing, there are three different kinds that look pretty similar, until you
start looking at them more carefully. There is the TS, the TRS and
the TRRS microphone jack - sounds very scientific doesn't it? But it's not!
Here you can see the TS, which means it has a Tip and a Sleeve. The TRS
it's even more scientific - now, we have a Tip, a Ring and a Sleeve and of course,
you can guess it is a TRRS, because it has a Tip, a Ring, a Ring and a Sleeve, so
"T 'stands for tip, "R" stands for ring and "S' stands for sleeve. Why does it matter
to you and what is the difference between these three 3.5 millimetre
microphone Jacks? What's the difference between these? Well, the TS, the Tip Sleeve,
only records on one channel. You get the audio, but if you're listening to it
afterwards on headphones, it'll probably only come out of one of the speakers or
one of your headphone earbuds. When you move up to the TRS, you are going to get
audio out of both channels, which we prefer. I mean we prefer being able to
hear in both ears and have it coming out of both speakers. This TRRS is the
one, that you're going to find you use most commonly and it is the one most
commonly used today in smartphones. There are many different ways of adapting
different external microphone jacks, so that it will work in a device you
want to use. I'm only going to talk about one kind of adapter I think you'll
need, if you're working with a smartphone or a regular camera and that is how to
adapt a TS or TRS 3.5 millimetre jack to make it in work somewhere, such as an
iPhone that needs a TRRS. If you plug a TRS, the one with the two black
bands into your smartphone, it is not going to work. If you want to have a TS
or a TRS microphone working in a TRRS plug, it's so simple.
All you need is this adapter, which takes either a TS or a TRS into a TRRS. You
plug your TS or TRS into here and now this will work in either your smartphone
or your camera, if it requires a TRRS. If you liked this video, please click the
