Find poetry in the dark [CC] - Duration: 6:34.
So today we talk about a subject that I care a lot about, but don't talk that much about,
which, I should because you should share the things that you are passionate about.
So today's video is about poetry.
Like most people I found out about poetry in school.
I really from the start did enjoy it.
I was very shy kid, and public speaking was, and still isn't my forte.
But reading poetry, or reciting it, always felt easy, and thrilling and enjoyable.
So I guess I had predispositions for poetry, and not everyone is like that
but I'm here to tell you that enjoy it too, even if you hated it at school !
So what first attracted me in poetry I guess, is rhythm.
Rhythm has carried poetry throughout human history.
We used rhythm to transmit myths and oral histories long before writing was even a thing
So I feel like in this rhythm you have all of humanity,
all of its history, all of its common way to say things,
that I think is really amazing.
That really shows poetry has for a very very long time been humanity's ...Thing.
You might think of poetry in a very traditional school it's-verse-meter-and-rhyme way but
- And I'm not here to discuss what poetry is or isn't in the canon, I'm no expert
I'm just here to share my feelings but
I think there's a lot more than that to poetry.
I think you can think of it as a feeling and you can find it in many mediums.
You have your poems, you have your songs, you have prose and even non fiction,
anything you can read and watch and listen.
And it's the bridge between images and words and spirit.
It's no coincidence that religion has been so linked to the poetic world
because there is something magical about it.
I think it is something that makes you feel whole,
and that connects you to the rest of humanity
and that can be found in any small moments that makes you think
"yes, this is the word for this feeling"
or "yes this is the image for this word" that makes you understand
the beauty that you find around you.
But how do you go about appreciating/understanding or just finding poetry ?
Because it can seem like something really hard to get into, like a giant mountain of
canon, and poets and movements, and tradition,
So it can seem like something that is really hard to get into.
But I'm here to give you some advice on how to get poetry to you.
I think that the first this is you have to forget what you know.
If you hated poetry in school, then it's just that they weren't the right poems for you,
or the right people teaching them to you, or you weren't in the right mindset for it
at the time.
So you have to let go of what you know and be open to the idea that there is something
poetic out there for you that you will enjoy.
As I said, poetry takes many forms.
It's not just fancy words, and rhymes and strict meter (thank god!)
And some of it is more visual...
If reading is the problem for you, you can try reading it out loud,
or seek out spoken word, there's a lot of it on youtube.
And it doesn't have to be labeled that...
Just people who speak beautifully are everywhere.
Maybe you start thinking of your favorite song lyrics as a poem,
and the many ways that they change over the time, and what they mean to you.
For more specific ways to get poetry to come to you, because I think the hardest thing
to get into poetry is seeking it out not knowing what to look for really.
So, you can follow people on the internet, we have these great social media platforms.
There's a lot of cool poets on tumblr, also on twitter, or once again just people,
even if they don't think of themselves as poets, who just write and speak beautifully.
There's newsletters and zines that you can find on the internet or in the real world.
I have a subscription to one of these mailing lists that sends a poem every day,
and I absolutely do not read all of them, but I know that every day
something is reminding me that I could be reading a poem,
and that way I always find new people.
And that helps you build sort of a list of the people you like,
or to find what characteristics will just click for you.
Once you start knowing what you like, you can seek out collections, on a theme or
by an author, from a movement ...
The more you learn, the more you will know what you like,
and know how to seek out things that will make you feel good and that you will enjoy
in this amazing huge poetry landscape that we have now.
So, yeah.
I hope I haven't been too rambly and too whimsical about it all.
sometime soon I will talk more in depth about what I like.

so we've got some pretty big news so dark side was supposed to be an
adjusting movie and there is a version of the Zack Snyder Justice League movie
although it's not 100% finished but it doesn't have to be so guys let's speak
logically if does someone die back to the movie and it's not 100% finished
with effect effects in graphics it's still there cut and there is a working
cut as there has been reports of a much darker and different ending to the movie
so on that fat man on Batman which is Kevin Smith's podcast very interesting
you read something like this Superman joins the fight and teams up with the
league to defeat Steppenwolf however at one point Steppenwolf
tries to tempt Superman into joining his army ready for this this made me so beep
in angry and when we see dark side for the first time in a Superman's vision
and we see flashes of the nightmare footage that Batman had in Batman vs
Superman however Sumana snaps back out of it and
delivers the final blow to defeat Steppenwolf so oh my god this clarifies
that Darkseid was in the original cut and I kept saying Darkseid will show up
in the movie so originally Darkseid was planned to be in a movie and this 100%
confirms it a lady in the crowd confirms she seen this exact scene in the cut
she's seen but it was very early on there was no side effects but this does
clarify that there is a 100% Darkseid version which would be the Zack Snyder
version and in this version Steppenwolf is killed by Darkseid on apocalypse and
Darkseid attends intends to come to earth to meet the
Kryptonian aka Superman damn now if that was the end then we got it would have
set up Darkseid would just sleep - or a different version of Justice League
movie so that is amazing seeing as the ending we actually got was the
Deathstroke Lex Luthor scene where it sets up for Legion of Doom or it sets up
the Justice League so this is very very
interesting because the Batman vs Superman nightmare scene where we've got
the Amiga scene on the floor it told everyone that Darkseid was coming Lois
Lane is the key I know the way they used it in the movie was Superman was like
confused and he was beating up the league and Lois came and save him but it
would have answered a lot of unanswered questions if we actually got the
Darkseid scene and we did get the evil Superman which this version does sound a
lot better than the version that we got I will link the link down below in the
description box to the Kevin Smith clip it's about nine and a half minutes in
it's only roughly four five minute bit but then he went on to say there was a
brief flame post-credit scene where they're at the lake house and this is
being confirmed by lots of other people and they seed into Green Lantern's it
just seems like the Zack Snyder version would of being a lot better in Darkseid
was in it this lady in crowd said she had to sign a embargo they went on a bug
she had to sign a thing saying she couldn't clarify what happened but she
confirmed that in the cutscene Darkseid was there so for all these people that
DC hay is saying Darkseid wasn't there is no Zack side credit there's other
youtubers and I am NOT going to speak about them but they've said there's 100
not Zack sonic up because Warner Brothers wouldn't put more money into it
all like Kevin Smith said they don't have to as fans will be happy getting an
unedited version just Zack Snyder's original cut even if effects and
everything aren't actually there but what's interesting is if Darkseid
appeared in this footage this lady did confirm it and Kevin Smith basically
confirmed it who who did they cast as Darkseid and I'm very interested to see
who they casted as Darkseid so I really hope one day we will get to see this
Darkseid deleted scene and we will get to see the evil Superman scene even if
we just get a turn like alternative ending that would be very good but I
can't seem doing that because then that sets up Darkseid but I just think
they're scared to go down the hall kind of fast route Stannis being an infinity
war he's like the main by big bad with the black order and it's taken 10 years
to get to him I just think it would have been a
lot better if Darkseid showed up and ended ended up killing it Steppenwolf on
Apokolips obviously in Apocalypse the 4th world which is like a mirror world
to Arad I mean a lot of things in the earlier trailers hinted at Darkseid but
then they kind of pull back on everything because they thought that if
Darkseid showed up it was under power Steppenwolf as the main big bad but I
don't understand how that happened because if you go back to God and
galaxies God and galaxy where know which movie God in the galaxy where we have
Rowan and then Santos was there it didn't really underlying at all so I
don't really understand where they're coming from like pulling Darkseid but we
know it's 100% not a Zack Snyder cutter but we had and we do know that the Zacks
not 100% confirmed and they're so happy that someone like such a big name actor
director DC fanboys someone that's actually known in the industry he works
in the industry confirms there is 100 cent a dark side confirmation and as
Zack Snyder cut any guys things like striving comment down below I know you
guys wanted the dark side cut I know everyone said that was gonna be I said
numerous times Darkseid was gonna show up and it turns out he actually did show
up in the cut that we were originally supposed to see but apparently
waterbirds didn't want Darkseid in it because it under power Steppenwolf which
really makes no sense the whole narrative because realistically it's a
trilogy where it starts with Man of Steel goes about vs Superman the whole
nightmare scene was pinnacle to the Justice League movie and then like the
host literally no word of it except for Lois is the key and like diamonds like
you're gonna need a big gun it's like yeah the big gun was Louis so really we
need the scene for the pike for it to make continuity of the actual Batman vs
Superman nightmare scene we Sparks so much controversy online to what was

Great that you're back! I'm Vanessa Pur, for all you do not know me
and I love high heels and for this reason I show you today
my Top 5 high heels. (Intro starts with music)
If you know my looks a little bit from my blog or Instagram and of course on Youtube
then you will have noticed, that I walk almost exclusively on high heels and boots...
because I just love it to walk on high heels and
the body feeling is great. After my Top 5 video from the
Pantyhose got so much feedback - thanks again for that - time for a new Top 5
video of my high heels. I show you, which I currently wear most in winter
and which pairs are always in my luggage is and what I can recommend
So let's get started ... My Top 5 high heels ...
Number 5, the Pigalle Foley Phyton - they have a 10 cm heel and pointed toe
and I wear them mostly with black, because they are
such an eye-catcher are, it shine so beautiful in greenish, bluish and with
a light purple-touch and I find, that they fits perfectly in the winter season...
I wear them preferred to classics like
a simple dress or a simple jeans and I think it looks
really great together.
Number four - the Louboutin Harler Veau Suede and I find them really beautiful because they have 10 centimeters heels,
so they run perfectly for me. A pointed front, it always looks super elegant and sexy
but what really matters is this "Ankle Cuff"...
This ankle strap that looks really nice - especially from behind
and the leg simply get much more attention ....
and from the front they look really classy and chic and I find it perfect for an
evening dress, which may also have intensive color
It works greats because the shoe simple is really matt black.
And also when you touch the shoe - it feels fantastic.
Number three, the Iriza Glitter Chain, also have a 10 cm heel
and have a pointed front. From inside the shoe is easily cut out, so
the whole female feet can appear more beautiful.
The material is really nice, It glitters and sparkles, you see it
even better in real life than on camera or photo and I find that they
can pimp up any outfit, right now in autumn and winter and all the
celebrations. They are also great to combine with a classical
jeans, but also at a great for the evening dress. Perfect for the holiday season...
Number two - my Moulage booties - I really like wearing them, they have indeed
a 14 cm heel, which is really interesting, but they also have a nice
platform, which then makes it again very easy to walk. Also on the attitude of the foot
it is really nice. The front is not sharp but is
slightly rounded, but I find fits perfect for this shoe, as
a pointy toe will make it to extreme.
I prefer to wear the shoe to pants, e.g. a leather trousers or a
jeans or alternatively to a short dress or a short skirt with
beautiful tights combined. This is definitely a must-have for me in the winter.
Number one - these are, what a surprise - my So Kates,
I love them and I wear them almost constantly every day. Although they have
a 12 centimeter heel, so I think they probably
very femine and sexy - because of the heel is so thin -
The front is really nice and sharp. Because the shoe is made of black,
glossy leather, I think it looks super classy. So there is hardly a shoe I
can combine more frequently than the black classic patent leather shoe from
Louboutin. So I think it fits perfectly, perfect for all
formal dresses and outfits and so for me this is my absolute
Number one. Those were my Top 5 High heels. Place number five I had
really think about. Whether I select my Degraspike perhaps also more likely to fifth place
so I selected the shoe for the video... I just like the pointed
spikes. It is not likely you
surprised that all shoes are Louboutin high heels. Who knows my fashion looks
a little may have noticed that I love the
brand and the shoes are just great to wear. The combination with the red sole
fits perfectly to my black and white outfits, which are mostly my colors, (with a touch of a bit of red)
combined and I think that design is always classy...
It fits one hundred percent for me. What don't mean that I only wear Louboutins

WORKOUTS & WINTER FESTIVALS - Duration: 8:26.
I usually start my Friday in the gym. It opens at 9 AM so I'll be heading there just before that time.
I have to admit, I love doing this in summer,
but now it's winter and I'm having some trouble getting up this early when it's not for work.
But let's do this!
I'll have to admit that I'm finally sort of satisfied with my gym schedule. I try to work out four times a week.
Finally my body's starting to look like what it did before I got myself a sports' injury.
Look at how misty it is by the way.
So yeah, it's starting to look better, though I'm never actually happy with it, sadly, but I'm happier about it than before!
The person that lived here before me got this thing. When I moved in I had no idea what to do with it, but I love it now.
Makes my bathroom so nice and warm.
For those who don't know, next to this channel I also do SchildersTV (A/N PaintersTV).
I make a part of the videos and I edit all of them.
I also manage the social media and the website. This takes me about 30 hours a week.
I've got some mails to answer right now, and the next few hours I'll be working.
A friend of mine is coming for dinner tonight, just going to chill a bit and tomorrow I'm going to Blijdorp Winterfestival.
I'm quite excited for this weekend, but first I got some work to do!

Part of it takes place outside, and it was actually freezing today, so I hope tomorrow is slightly better, but I'm excited.
These vlogs, the vlogmas vlogs not the party ones, will each be about two days long.
This is because I've got a lot of videos planned; I'm going to do artist interviews,
got a rave outfit video and of course my party vlogs, so it'll be a bit more manageable.

Got some baubles going on and this plant. If you're thinking, "hey Alennah that plant looks pretty dead", that's because it is,
because of this little guy who killed it. It's finally getting back to life now he can't reach it unless I'm in this room.

Good morning everybody, I'm going to put some makeup on my face.
. It's midday already actually, half past 12.
I'm going to Blijdorp Winterfestival, which starts at 1 PM, which obviously I'm not going to make.
I'm not really a person to get to a festival or rave right from the start, especially when they are quite long like this one.
As I said part of it is outside, so I've no idea what to wear,
hence why I'm still in my pajamas while doing my makeup, I usually get dressed first.
But today is different, because it's freezing outside and I've no idea what to wear.
Why do I always lose stuff? I had such a long sleep.
I usually get up around 9 if not earlier, thanks in part to my cat. But it was past eleven this time.
Probably because I had a few glasses of wine. I don't usually drink,
but one of my oldest friends was here yesterday and we had some good chats and some drinks, so I had a pretty decent sleep.
I'm going to do my makeup now and think about what I'm gonna wear.
Dear god that cat and that Christmas tree… Bubba, hey! Anyway, time to do my makeup, I'll see you in a bit.
I'm not sure what to think about my makeup today.
It kinda looks like someone hit me in the eye, but it will have to do.
Fun fact, these onesie have a pee-zipper. So you can go to the toilet without getting totally undressed.
My god it's cold. I'll be putting on my onesie later on, driving in one is awkward.

going to be in the Christmas stocking stuffer is this going to get done by
Christmas what's the prediction well we believe it will president Trump and I've
been working literally around the clock with members of the Senate and before
that with members of the House of Representatives and we really believe
that before Christmas comes we're going to deliver to the American people the
largest tax cut in American history and as the president has said it's going to
be a middle class miracle this is tax relief that's going to benefit working
families across this country with real and immediate tax relief the average
American family will have more than $1,200 in their pockets when this passes
but but more than that we're going to reform our business taxes in this
country so that companies large and small can begin to compete with
companies around the world again that will create jobs and we also know that
by reducing taxes on businesses will see wages arise in this country and so we're
very close we're going to continue to work closely with members of the Senate
to move legislation this week then it'll be off to what's called a conference
committee to work out the differences but we really do believe that as the
president said just yesterday the American people are going to get a
great Christmas present this year and it's going to be a big beautiful tax cut
that will benefit their families and benefit this growing American economy
and it truly is actually a good thing this is really gonna actually do a boost
but then we got people like this it's actually comparing it to r4pe and what
would be the justification in your mind that Republicans would have for raising
taxes on lower-income people because they you know they spend all of their
income so why would I raise taxes on them it really defies comprehension
maybe they think that the poor have it's so easy that they need to have to pay
more taxes to force them to go out and work more it really the amazing thing is
that people seem to be accepting this so meekly and mildly is it's really akin to
r4pe it really the liberal mainstream media just is terrible I mean that the
stuff that they actually put out now I mean not like they actually really put
out anything good before but it hasn't gotten any better as all I could say but
I mean it just doesn't in there and I did a video yesterday on how ABC
released a fake news talking about how general Flynn was playing guilty to the
for lying to the FBI and they put out there that Trump was colluding before
the election and it's actually happened in December which was after the election
so I mean I mean it was already it was fake news and ABC had to retract the
statement but these people look even more like idiots on the view like every
other deranged liberal is celebrating ABC's report that Michael Flynn would be
testifying that Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians during
the campaign but of course we now know that story is fake news and ABC was
forced to redact it my hair now looks like the biggest Moore on earth for
celebrating a completely made-up report and calling it an early Christmas gift
ABC News Brian Ross is reporting Michael Flynn promised full cooperation to the
Muller team and is prepared to justify that as a candidate Donald Trump
directed him to make contact with the Russians idiot you know she has to be
felled like a complete moron after stating that I mean what would you even
want to show your face on TV after doing that I don't know I mean that was
literally just jumping the gun they're going off the first headline you read
from ABC ooh ABC it's insane what these people
actually really think is real news even Mad Max wanted to join in on it as soon
as she heard about it factor that knows what it is and you know congresswoman
you have been out there you know touting the idea that Donald Trump should face
impeachment that has fallen on deaf ears among your colleagues on the other side
of the aisle among Republicans does this indictment and this guilty plea of
Michael Flynn does it have you seen it change the attitudes on the other side
of the aisle at all not yet but I think it's going to be hard for the
Republicans to continue to be silent and to be standing with this president as in
polls this is the tip of the iceberg there's lots more to come and I think
it's going to lead right to not only collusion obstruction of justice money
laundering you go it goes on and on and on we are at a point in time in the
United States of America with a president who is involved in all kinds
of things that would shock people I do believe and so I know that I've been
calling for impeachment I know I've been criticized but I know everything that I
have learned about him and his allies they interest in lifting the sanctions
their connection to Putin their connection to the Kremlin I know that
we're going to find that they this president needs to be impeached but I
think the even funniest part about all this is not only was this something that
was done after the election but it was also something that was premeditated
actually by the Obama administration
according to a White House insider Flynn spoke with Russian ambassador's Sergei
kiss Lee act during president Trump's transition under orders from the Obama
administration the hill reports they are saying here at the White House that
Flynn's conversations with Sergei kisi Lac were quote authorized by the Obama

all right for those of you that are entrepreneurs or that are consultants to
have a lot of a lot of autonomy and are working at home I want to suggest that
you set up rituals very very rigid rituals in order to keep yourself on
task because many people need a nine-to-five job or an 8 to 3 job to go
to in order to have that structure but if you're going to be autonomous and
you're going to do things as an entrepreneur and you're be given all
that wiggle room to make decisions I strongly suggest that you actually map
out your mornings where you have an actual plan where between 8 a.m. and 9
a.m. you're doing XYZ and then you intersperse it with something that you
love afterwards and then you follow it up with something that's a little bit
undesirable and then follow that up with something that you love just using the
Premack principle but I also think that if you're autonomously working from home
it's really important that you have the least amount of response effort for you
to get started so have all your your things arranged it's kind of weird at my
house I have I have a coffee maker actually wired up to hard wired but so
the water flows directly into it so I don't have to take that extra second to
pour the water and I also have the water cooler setup I'm sort of like borderline
diabetic so I get very very thirsty so I have the water cooler setup where the
water is like hard wired into it all within reach and instead of having to
carry the bottles and dump the bottles in because each time that you're
interrupted from a task that requires concentration it takes it takes a while
to get back focused again so between the coffee and the hard-wired water system I
think it's also important that you have your materials all within reach and it's
great to have one of those swinging desks that kind of just swings over your
you in that way if you have multiple ones you can kind of flip them back and
forth and you bring what you need all within reach
because the moment that it requires a little bit of effort to get up and get
something is the moment that at least myself I found myself getting distracted
so again to be very very disciplined make sure you have everything available
just to be able to work from home
