Meditation... meditation has so many benefits in this world that you wouldn't believe could
come from just sitting down alone, closing your eyes, and not thinking.
It can even help with NoFap, which is most likely why you're on my channel here at KreativeVein.
So today, I'll be going over the top 7 benefits of meditation which will be animated on screen.
Also, there are different types of meditation out there but what I am talking about is mindfulness
meditation.
Regardless, you will most likely experience all of these betterments in your everyday
life no matter what style of meditation you use.
Before we get into this be sure to smash that subscribe button like you'll be smashing your
goals, and also hit me up on Twitter @KreativeVein if you want to stay updated and talk to me.
So the 1st benefit of meditation is losing your anxiety.
In the past, I would be overwhelmed with anxiety.
It's not that I couldn't perform if I had no clue what was going on and I had to act
on the spot, but it was when I had to plan things out in which I would become truly scared.
I would be so nervous before going up to talk in front of a class, or even for just talking
to someone new, my heart would be pounding, my hands would get sweaty, and sometimes my
speech patterns would be messed up and in turn I would become more and more anxious
later on.
That's why I used to stay silent -- and I see this all the time, people who are socially
anxious.
However, with meditation, you train your brain to stay focused on the now.
Enjoying the present rather than being nervous about the future.
And yes, you have to plan for the future and prepare, but that's not the point.
The point is to be here right now, to actually be happy with the now, and not to worry about
if you fuck up later on.
Because even if you do fuck up, it's ok, that was the past, now we can move on.
The more present you are, the less thoughts are in your head (most of which are negative
and fear-based), and the less fear you have of the future.
To be honest, there really is no reason for anxiety in this world -- after reading the
50th Law, I realized that all of us will die one day, and you have to accept that.
And once you can overcome the fear of death, you can overcome anything.
Meditation lets you enjoy the now, because that's all you have, no matter how good or
bad it is.
The second benefit is that it helps with NoFap.
With consistent and longer periods of meditation -- right now I'm only around 10 minutes per
day, I've become more and more aware of how my thoughts flow and when to stop myself.
Instead of acting instinctively and relapsing to a hot video on YouTube like this one, just
playing... but instead of being completely reliant on instinct, I am able to stop my
sexual thoughts from the beginning.
Even if I start to type something pornographic, well I'm stopping right then and there and
doing 15 pushups.
It makes you more aware of yourself overall.
The third benefit, going off the last point is that you become more self-aware and you
become more aware of others.
You can learn more about yourself.
You listen to your body more, and you have an increased ability to understand your flaws
and fix them as well as being able to control yourself more.
You know what move is right and which move is wrong, and it is much easier to pick the
right choice rather than clinging to instant gratification like pornography, junk food,
or even just excessively doing small things like listening to too much music rather than
working or playing too many video games.
You also know how to read other people more.
When you are out of your head, when you're calm, and when you're in the present moment
being aware of the environment around you, you can sense if someone is nervous or mad.
You get a feel for other people better and this allows you to cultivate better relationships.
Before I would be seen as annoying because I didn't care about what others felt, I just
wanted to fuck around and roast people.
Now I know how to adapt much better than before based on a person's mood.
Number four is that you are happier.
If you've seen my previous video on how to be happy, a question that I asked myself so
much because even though I was improving in life, I always wanted more.
I wanted more friends, I wanted more subscribers, I wanted to look better, everything.
And then after testing with so many things, it turned out living in the present was the
key, and the way to practice that is to not get lost in thoughts by meditating.
You literally give your brain a rest and use it only when necessary, and trust me, it works.
I've become much more witty when roasting other people.
You are happier when you don't care too much about the outcome, but rather enjoy the experience.
To be honest, if I enjoy my journey on YouTube, and don't get 1 million subscribers which
is the goal, so what?
It's just a fucking number.
I enjoyed myself and used the time well, which is what you learn.
You learn to be happy with what you have, but also to keep moving if that's what you
really want.
Benefit number five is just being overall, more healthy.
There have been countless studies on this topic.
Not only is being happier healthier, and monks are known to be much more happy than the average
person, but fertility is increased (because stress kills sperm and you reduce stress with
meditation), your immune system is boosted, you have lower blood pressure, and your entire
brain is changed to be more controllable and less negative.
This is almost like a cheat to life, you sit down and enjoy breathing in and out, needing
nothing else, and the rest of your life is boosted tremendously.
The sixth and second to last benefit is that your concentration increases.
Once again studies have proved this and you can research this yourself if you want more
evidence, but in a test where participants who meditated and those who didn't were given
a boring exam, those who meditated did much better.
While you don't want to spend your life doing mundane tasks, this not only shows you can
enjoy the little things in the now, for me walking outside and breathing in fresh air
is amazing, and socializing is much more fun, but it also shows that you can put in dedicated
time and effort into repeated actions which lead to mastery.
Kobe Bryant for instance meditates as well, and for a man like him to be able to work
6 hours a day 6 days a week on a sport that is extremely physically and mentally taxing
over and over, you have to enjoy the small progression, and that's what not needing anything
gives you.
Meditation is simply nothing.
No thoughts, just you living.
The seventh and final gift of meditation is that you learn to not give a fuck.
This is where we started from, less anxiety, but not just not having your heart pounding
when you need to step out of your comfort zone -- you also learn that most things are
trivial as fuck and if they don't matter in the long term, you don't have to stress about
it.
I stopped caring so much about school because I know it's something I do not enjoy and that
there are other options.
So instead of staying up all night on that, I can use my time better.
Even if something does matter to me I realize that nothing is permanent.
I had this epiphany when I saw a girl singing one time.
I was thinking -- fuck... she's hot man I'd tap that shit quick.
But then I realized, even that shit fades.
One day she'll be old and the sex appeal will be gone (unless you like grandma's haha)...
but legit, everything is temporary.
One day we'll all be gone, and this YouTube channel will probably fade away or YouTube
will be deleted.
So why do you have to stress so much?
You don't, make sure you learn from the past and plan for the future, but when you're taking
action, just enjoy it.
That's all that I've learned from meditation.
It has many other benefits and if you want a video on how to meditate let me know in
the comments section down below.
Once again you can hit me up @KreativeVein on Twitter for more, and that's all I've got.
