What we found...
...is a whole 'nother story.

The Life & Death of Mad Catz [LGR Tech Tales] - Duration: 10:30.
Mad Catz.
The brand unceremoniously thrust upon younger siblings
and Player Twos the world over.
Often derided for subpar controllers that felt just as cheap
as much as they looked absurd.
But before that, Mad Catz had a history
going back almost 30 years,
with them being responsible for all sorts of award-winning flight sticks,
steering wheels,
gaming mice,
instrument peripherals,
and even their own microconsole.
One quarter of the entire game console aftermarket
was claimed by Mad Catz alone in 2006.
And yet, it obviously didn't end well for them
since the company declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy on March 30, 2017.
What happened?
This is LGR Tech Tales,
where we take a look at noteworthy stories of technological inspiration,
failure and everything in between.
This episode tells the tale of Mad Catz:
the Prolific Purveyors of Plastic Peripherals.
The year is 1987
and the video game market is exploding!
Devices like Nintendo's Entertainment System
were leading the charge of the video game industry's
40% annual growth rate that year,
and it showed no signs of slowing down.
This caught the attention of a small group of engineers in Honk Kong
who saw this rapid growth as a great investment opportunity.
Games were growing at such a rapid rate
that third-party manufacturers could easily swoop in and lay claim
to underserved gamers with niche product ideas.
So these engineers decided, hey,
why not latch on to some of that success
using their skills and connections in Hong Kong,
China and the USA?
They spent the next two years laying the groundwork
for design, manufacturing, packaging and distribution
culminating in 1989 with the founding of Mad Catz, Inc.
There's seemingly no stated reason behind that name,
but their goal was to provide third-party products for video game consoles
at a low cost to both them and consumers,
and they accomplished this by outsourcing 60% of the work.
Manufacturing was handled by a firm in Xinzheng, China,
and the design and marketing was handled by a satellite office
in Southern California, near San Diego.
This not only ensured they could manufacture the required electronics for a crazy low price,
but the American side of the business ensured they had an ear to the ground
of their largest target markets,
the U.S. and Canada,
eventually leading to the company being headquartered in San Diego.
Mad Catz's first product is tough to pin down precisely,
but two of them were these turbo controllers
for the NES and Sega Genesis.
These were sold under the High Frequency label at first,
which was the in-house brand for the Toys "R" Us retail chain in North America.
The way this worked is that the product and marketing were conceived
by Mad Catz's office in California,
and the design was sent to their contracted facility in China
to be manufactured and shipped out
as an Original Equipment Manufacturer, or OEM, product.
This method meant that Mad Catz could develop their own designs in-house
and then sell it themselves under their own brand
or as a generic item to whoever paid to stick their own logo on it.
And while this didn't make them a fortune immediately,
it was enough to continue to grow the company throughout the 1990s.
They made game pads,
screen magnifiers,
steering wheels,
dust covers,
joypads,
power adapters,
flight sticks,
memory cards,
light guns,
carrying cases,
hardware abominations...
the list goes on and on.
Sure they were cheap, but they worked...
mostly.
And their product line was so pervasive
that it was hard to ignore them when you went to a game store
looking for a new accessory on a budget.
By the latter part of the '90s,
Mad Catz had grown to over 100 employees
while partnering with over 12,000 retailers worldwide.
And with the onslaught of new game consoles
set to release across the next few years on into the new millennium,
investors were eyeing Mad Catz with piles of cash in hand.
It was the Ontario, Canada-based GTR Group,
formerly known as Games Trader, Inc.,
who completed the acquisition of Mad Catz on August 31, 1999
for $33.3 million.
Mad Catz remained headquartered in San Diego, however,
and work quickly began on several new projects.
One of these was the BioForce,
a device that sent 16 milliamps of electric current
to shock and temporarily immobilize players' fingers
when they got hit in-game.
Apparently, the press members that got to try it
had fun with it at trade shows but suffice to say,
a device that electrocutes kids...
never made it to market.
A more successful new product for them was the MC2 and Mario Andretti racing wheels,
both of which earned several best-in-category awards
from industry magazines and websites.
Mad Catz also ended up releasing a dozen licensed controllers and peripherals
to coincide with the launch of the Sega Dreamcast in 2000,
which led to a perceived increase in the brand's value to consumers.
So GTR Group decided to rebrand themselves
as Mad Catz Interactive in 2001,
closing down the other parts of their business
to focus on new console launches in North America,
like the PlayStation 2,
the Gamecube
and the Xbox.
Another slew of new products came flooding in,
from wireless controllers
to third-party dance pads
to higher-capacity memory cards.
Then in 2003, Mad Catz paid $5 million to acquire GameShark,
a company that made plug-in devices and software
that allowed players to cheat their way through games.
In 2007, Joytech and Saitek
were two more major acquisitions at a combined $34 million,
with Joytech being the gaming accessories unit of Take-Two Interactive Software,
and Saitek being known mostly for their PC gaming peripherals,
especially flight sticks.
And somewhere in the midst of all this,
they found time to start publishing their own games,
such as Real World Golf.
Naturally, this was an excuse to sell more controllers
and with this one, it was the USB Gametrak golf club motion controller.
And while they dabbled with motion controls for a couple years
with the popularity of the Nintendo Wii,
starting in 2008, Mad Catz dove head first into a lucrative new activity:
license deals.
Not with console manufacturers
but with game properties themselves.
Partnering with Capcom,
Mad Catz released a bunch of Street Fighter IV controllers.
But the most notable of these was the Fightstick.
This arcade-style controller cost $70 for the standard model
and $150 for the Tournament Edition.
This was not only more costly than Mad Catz's usual fare but it was actually...
good!
The higher-end version used the exact same Sanwa joystick
and 30 mm buttons as the Street Fighter IV arcade machine,
leading to notoriety in the eSports world
and several eSports events and sponsorships
coming from Mad Catz over the following years.
The developer Harmonix was next on the agenda,
striking a deal with Mad Catz to release a bunch of officially-licensed instruments
for Rock Band in late 2008.
These were arguably an improvement over the originals,
with a microphone that included its own controller buttons,
a portable drum kit that was much more compact and easy to move around than the full thing,
and a bass guitar that looked a lot like an actual Fender Precision.
In 2010, Mad Catz then acquired gaming audio company Tritton,
giving them an instant foothold into the growing realm of microphones and headsets.
They continued to support personal computers as well
with the release of the Cyborg R.A.T. gaming mouse in 2010,
the Eclipse touch-sensitive keyboard and gesture-controlled mouse,
and acquired the V Max Simulation Corporation, a flight sim developer,
to help guide the development of future Saitek products.
Then in 2013, they decided to cash in on the microconsole boom inspired by the Ouya,
which was at the time the second-highest funded project on crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
Mad Catz's response was the Mojo,
an Android-based console that cost $250.
It saw some success among Android modding enthusiasts,
but projects like this and the Ouya quickly faded from the limelight,
even after hefty price drops.
Making matters worse, it was not going so well behind the scenes at Mad Catz.
They'd been in and out of debt since 2011,
and by June of 2015, they'd announced to investors
that they'd failed to meet their credit lender's monthly target
on a $20 million loan.
The bank decided to waive the violation, though,
since Mad Catz had what they thought was an ace up their sleeve:
Rock Band 4.
Set to release in October, Mad Catz was betting the farm on the game performing well,
not only manufacturing the instruments for the game
but going so far as to take care of the marketing
and distribution worldwide as well.
But it was not nearly enough to keep up with Mad Catz's mad credit problems.
Even with a 55 percent uptick in sales from the previous year,
they reported an $11.6 million loss.
This was largely due to the lower- than-forecast Rock Band 4 sales,
along with $8.3 million of unsold instrument inventory languishing in warehouses.
The writing was on the wall after Harmonix dropped Mad Catz as distributor
and partnered with Performance Digital Products instead.
Even with Mad Catz laying off 37% of their staff,
their CEO and chairman resigning,
and selling off the Saitek brand to Logitech,
their stock prices plummeted down to an abysmal 4 cents a share.
The New York Stock Exchange delisted them entirely on March 23, 2017,
and that... was that.
One week later, Mad Catz's board of directors voted to declare Chapter 7 bankruptcy,
meaning that everything they owned would be liquidated to pay off their debts.
And just like that, a company with an almost 30-year history vanished overnight.
Mad Catz was gone.
Will they be missed?
Probably not by very many.
While they did make a few excellent products over the years,
there's no shortage of other manufacturers
that continue to provide the same types of things
at a similar price point.
Mad Catz is more of a cautionary tale than anything else,
showing just what can happen to even the largest name in their category
when people lose sight of what made the company succeed in the first place
and fail to recognize the interests of a rapidly changing market.

Talkin' Ship - Blown to Smith-ereens! - Duration: 2:02.
What up, everybody. This is Trevzor.
I'm here with this week's rendition of Talkin' Ship,
where we give you everything that's happening here in NA World of Warships.
Destroyer Week is upon us and that means we've got special missions for Destroyers, as usual.
So, beginning with the regular mission, it's 1.5 times Commander's Experience for wins.
Get that. It's pretty sweet.
Destroyer missions, as usual.
You get 35,000 damage in a single battle, you will get some Commanders Experience.
If you do 500,000 damage over any number of battles, you get the flags.
And if you destroy a Destroyer, you get some Commander's Experience as well.
If you do the math - and you win and you get all the missions all at the same time,
you could possibly get up to 2.5 times Destroyer Commander Experience.
That's great. So get out there and do that stuff.
Discounts for this weekend.
Destroyers Tier 2 through 5 are going to be 50% off, as usual.
We've got the cammo is going to be half off for credits and doubloons.
That's great.
We also have upgrades are going to be 50% off.
Also cool.
If you want a Smith, a Campbeltown, or a Tachibana, this is also the time to get it.
Because those are 50% off in the tech tree. Grab those things.
Moving on for after the weekend.
If you do 50K damage in some ships, you can get a flag.
We have those for three times per account.
So you can check that flag out right here.
And Community Question.
It's Destroyer Week and they're the fastest ships in the sea.
What three destroyers would be the best Destroyers to use in a World of Warships 500?
Like there's a race map.
What would be the best three Destroyers to race around in.
Leave that down in the comments section below.

Thirty v Thirteen | British English Pronunciation Lesson - Duration: 5:15.
Hi, this is Greg from OnlineLanguageAcademy.com
And in this video I'm going
to help you pronounce these two numbers
correctly! Finally! Are you ready?
Yeah, now this is a very common, common,
common mistake and when my students say
a number like 13 or 40 or 60 or 16,
I always have to ask for them to repeat.
Because it's not clear. They never
say those numbers clearly. So there's a
very simple way to know the correct
pronunciation, so I'm gonna to tell you
in this video. If you want to get all my
common mistakes and the 16 Steps to Fix
your Broken English just click up there.
You'll get my free eBook called English
Guick Fix and hey, it's the quickest way
to take your English to the next level.
So, free download. OK, let's have a look
then. So first of all you really need to
understand the importance of stress in
English on the words. The meaning of a
word can totally change depending on
where you put the stress. There's only
one stress on each word, but it depends
where you put it. Which syllable do you
put the stress and that's one of the
biggest problems that foreign speakers
have in English. And it's one of the
biggest causes of miscommunication
between people, so it's so important that
when you learn the pronunciation you
focus on where the stressed syllable is.
I went for a coffee with a Spanish
friend in Chicago recently and he asked
the waitress 4 times for a
decaffeinated coffee. He said: a decaf,
please. And she said: what? He said: a decaf,
a decaf, a decaf. And in the end the
waitress looked at me and I said: he
means a decaf. And she was like OK, got it,
understand, perfect. He stressed the "caf",
he didn't stress the "de" and because of
that he didn't get what he wanted.
That's just one example. Now with numbers
it's the same thing. If you want to order
13 chairs and you order 30 by mistake,
you have a problem. And, if you're working
in a company this could lead to a big,
big, big problem and you could lose your
job, yeah. Have a look at the correct
stress on each of these words. So 10, 11,
12, 13, 13, right. The word obviously ends
in the letter "N" and we pronounce the
letter "N", so it's edns in the sound "N". But we
also put the stress on the last syllable:
13, 14, 15. So there are 2 important
things you need to do: pronounce the "N"
always and put the stress on the last
syllable. But the most important thing to
do, the most important thing is to put
the stress on the last syllable. Now,
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, with these numbers or
first there's no "N" at the end, so the
words end with "TY", "TY", but the most
important thing is to put the stress on
the first syllable.
30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, so the stress
is so important. So, so, so important,
I cannot stress it enough that you need to
get the right stress. It goes on the end
with 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and it goes at
the beginning with 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, OK.
Subscribe if you've liked
this video and give me a thumbs up too,
please. And remember if you want to get
my book, to take your English to the next
level, it's just up there or the link is

teaching you more English very soon, bye for now.

Algorithms & Data Structures For... Web Developers? - Duration: 7:00.
Hey, what's up?
John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.
Hey, I just wanted to give a quick thanks to one of our sponsors at Simple Programmer
which is DevMountain Bootcamp.
You should go check them out.
The link is in the description.
They are a coding bootcamp and they can teach you web development, iOS development, UX design,
a lot of good stuff.
I get a lot of feedback from a lot of you out there that email me have told me about
DevMountain, so I decided to check them out myself.
I like what I found.
I like their programs.
They offer some 12-week intensive programs.
They also offer some after-hours programs which I know that some of you will like.
Go check them out.
You can see the link in the description below, DevMountain Bootcamp.
A big thank you to them for sponsoring Simple Programmer.
I got a question about algorithms and data structures in web development.
This is as popular topic.
You can check out all the videos I've done on algorithms and data structures and learning
algorithms here.
I should have a playlist for that.
This question is from Vinny and he says, "Hi John, I would like to start off by saying
your content is incredible.
Your work is much appreciated.
Now, my question (and I'm sure is a question many developers ask) is: How important is
it for a web developer to know data structures and algorithms?
If they are important, how are they used mostly?
Thanks, Vinny."
I'll be totally honest here.
As a web developer needing to know algorithms and data structures, the need for it is not
as high as if you're a backend developer.
If you're not sure what a backend developer is or what a frontend developer is you can
check out the video here I have on what is a backend developer.
It doesn't mean that you don't need to know it and it doesn't mean that it's not going
to help you at all.
Let's think about this for a little bit here.
If you're working mostly as a web developer and mostly on the frontend, what you're going
to be doing is a lot of stuff with the user interface.
You're going to be creating a lot of controls and the visual aspect of it and not maybe
crunching data as much, but that doesn't mean that you're never going to do something that
requires an algorithm or data structure.
The thing is like if you think about it, algorithms and data structures it's like having a really
good toolbox with a lot of tools in it.
Now, you might be able to get by with just a hammer and a screwdriver and a few things.
You might be able to figure out how you can use nails and hammer and screwdriver and screws
for just about anything that you need, but it's not going to be the best and it's not
going to be the most efficient thing.
As a web developer, yeah, you might not need a complicated toolbox, but if you have those
things, if you have that, you're going to have more possibilities.
You're going to have more things—and here's the other thing is that, like I said, as a
web developer, you might not need this stuff and you might see ways that you can use your
existing tools and what you know, but until you understand this stuff, until you actually
take a study and you really understand data structures and algorithms you're not even
going to see the opportunities where you could use them.
You're going to be a little bit naïve.
As a web developer not knowing this stuff you might be getting by on your job and you
might be doing just fine, but you don't know what you're missing.
This is one of those unknown unknowns because you don't—once you see things differently
because you have that ability then everything—they always say that when you have a hammer everything
looks like a nail.
That's sort of the mentality that you can get into when you don't have this larger repertoire
of skills in software development.
I would basically say this, if you're starting out, if you want to get into web development,
maybe don't worry too much about the algorithms and data structures.
You don't have to have necessarily a really, really solid computer science background.
This is where the web—the bootcamps come into play.
A lto of developers go through bootcamps and then a lot of senior developers or experienced
developers say, "Oh the bullcamps—" the bullcamps, they call them bullcamps, right?
"The bootcamps are bullshit because you're not actually learning the real software development
computer science stuff.
You're not actually learning how to create algorithms and data structures and all the
fundamental stuff.
You're just learning how to do the web development part of it which is not—you're not a real
programmer."
Not true, okay?
But you can't stop there.
It's a great boost.
It's a great starting point if you can go through a bootcamp, if you can get enough
knowledge and experience to actually start working in the field, but then you're not
done.
Now you go back and now you learn the data structures.
Now you learn the algorithms.
Now you learn this kind of stuff that is going to make you better and give you a deeper more
thorough understanding and knowledge of your field.
Now this toolbox you're going to know how to use it.
I think a lot of developers that go through college, one of the problems that I see is
that they learn data structures and algorithms or they sort of learn them.
They get through the test and then by the time they get into the real world they've
forgotten most of that stuff because they haven't seen how to actually use it.
If I show you how to use a bunch of tools, if I pull out this—someone who's a real
good woodworker and I pull out their toolbox and I show you the lathe and all the stuff
and I show you how to use all that stuff just in a demonstration, but you're not actually
building anything of real use with it it's not going to stick and it's not going to be
useful to you, right, when you start doing some simple stuff.
If you're already working, if you're already working as woodworker or something like that
and now I introduce some tools to you and I show you how you can use these tools to
make your job easier, wow, that's going to stick with you.
It's going to make a lot of sense.
You're going to understand that stuff and it's going to be more valuable to you.
It's really about expanding your abilities and being able to see problems better through
the lens of someone who has the capability, who has the toolbox that's going to allow
them to be more effective.
That's what you've got to think about.
I'll just basically say this, I'll end with this and I'll say, "Look, if you're a web
developer currently, you should probably invest some time in learning data structures and
algorithms.
If you're not a web developer currently and you want to become one, don't worry about
that stuff for now unless you need it for an interview, but get your web development
skills.
Start working, start actually building stuff and then start learning some of these data
structures and algorithms and you're going to see how you can use them and that's going
to benefit you.
All right, I hope that helps you.
If it did, go ahead and click that subscribe button below.
I do about 2 to 3 videos a day.
If you have a question you'd like me to answer you can email me at john@simpleprogrammer.com
and I'll talk to you next time.
Take care.

Papantonio: The Jeff Sessions Crime & Carnage Pitch - Duration: 8:17.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions raised eyebrows last month with his comments on police reform.
According to Sessions, the agreements between the federal government and many cities across
America to reform corrupt and dysfunctional police departments are reducing the morale
of police officers and leading to an increase in crime.
As a result, the Justice Department has ordered a review of all consent decrees reached during
the Obama administration to examine whether these pacts are undermining the Trump administration's
goal of fighting violent crime.
RT America's correspondent Anya Parampil sat down with Mark O'Mara to discuss his views
on this issue.
Take a look.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a major review of all existing or contemplated
police consent decrees.
Can you explain for viewers what exactly that even means?
Sure.
When there is a problem with a police agency ... Discriminatory practices, failure to properly
deal with there community ... Then there is a possibility that the Department of Justice
will come in, look at the police department, look at the frailties of it, and then say,
'We're going to help you fix it.'
That 'we're going to help you fix it' is somewhat voluntary.
They enter into what is called a consent decree, which says as long as you do these things,
and fix your problems, then we'll leave you alone.
That really is what consent decree itself is.
It sounds almost so basic in itself.
It's not even that overbearing.
It's not as if the federal government is coming in and exercising extreme control over these
departments as is.
No, at that point it really is advice and some input.
Certainly, they may help them with increasing their diversity within their police department.
Like you only have 3% of blacks or minorities.
You should have 30%.
Let's get it up to 10 or 15.
That type of stuff.
Recommendation.
Absolutely.
In making this announcement, Sessions actually said that consent decrees increase crime.
Is that true?
I don't understand what his basis for that would be.
A consent decree occurs when the Department of Justice looks at something and says, 'This
is bad enough where it needs some federal oversight.'
Granted, Attorney General Sessions' perspective, the administration's perspective, seems to
be get the federal government out of everything they can, and that includes law enforcement,
which, generally speaking, I'm okay with local agencies and local governments governing themselves,
but when it becomes a problem, just like with Board of Education back in the days of Brown
v. Board of Education, when there are problems that the federal government has to step in,
then they should have the authority to do so.
Another major announcement Sessions made recently, one of many ... It seems that there have been
endless policy changes daily coming out from Sessions.
He was on the border and announced that he directed prosecutors to charge undocumented
immigrants caught crossing into the country unlawfully for a second time with felonies.
How has the Trump administration changed the definition of what it means to be criminal?
The problem that we have is we have federal laws that exist.
I wouldn't even call it a problem.
We have federal laws that exist that allow for strict immigration enforcement.
He didn't create a new law by saying second time in is a felony, but the reality is most
of those people who are coming across, most, are coming from the southern border and they're
coming here generally for decent reasons.
They're coming here to work.
They're coming here for a better life, and I understand that they are violating immigration
law.
But the idea of further criminalizing an event that is based, generally speaking, on poverty
and need doesn't seem to make sense.
If you want to have a stricter border control, let's do that, but we don't need more created
felons.
It's just a way to, in my opinion, be less sensitive to the realities that we have to
deal with rather than more sensitive.
What do you do in a situation like with our immigration laws?
As a lawyer, you're sitting here saying that they are basically impossible to enforce,
and that's what we hear.
What do you do when the law doesn't match with reality and the situation that we have
in the country?
The administration can come forward and say, 'Well, we're just enforcing law here.'
It's difficult because in a case like that, for example, you're not going to have a federal
judge come in like they have in response to several of the executive orders.
You're not going to have a federal judge come in and say that enforcement is illegal because
it is simply not.
You can enforce certain laws more strictly, and I think the administration is on good
grounds doing so.
The problem that I have with it is a little bit more holistic.
It's looking at the entire problem that we have and trying to spend the limited resources
we have a bit more, in my opinion, rationally rather than drastically.
We're already seeing in the administration's attempt to enforce some of these laws local
revolt, especially in the case of sanctuary cities, I would say, is an example of cities
saying, 'Well, we're going to make this decision, even if the administration is coming
in and saying that we have to enforce these laws.'
Again, it's a difficult razor's edge because those sanctuary cities are getting some federal
funding.
We all know that purse strings help maneuver behavior, but the idea that the administration
is going to walk in and say 'You won't have money for roads,' or 'You won't have money
for this because you, as a local government, have decided that you're going to spend your
police dollars on other matters than enforcing federal law.'
It's a little bit, not only antagonistic between the two, but senseless.
Finally, looking back at the first day of the Trump administration, remembering Trump's
inauguration speech, something that stuck out to me was when he said 'We're living
in an era of American carnage.'
That phrase ... To hear a president say that in an inauguration speech was insane, but
then he said that we were going to respond to this era by creating a law and order society.
Judging from the first 100 days of this administration, what do you think that society is going to
look like?
First of all, I'm not sure what he meant by carnage because I've done criminal defense
for 35 years and I know it, quite honestly, better than most.
I also know that violent crime is generally down in this country.
We still prosecute people for crimes that we probably don't need to, but generally speaking,
crime is down.
I don't get the era of carnage to begin with, but, since that is a premise from now the
most powerful man in the universe and leader of the free world, if that is his perspective
and the response to that is law and order, I'm very troubled because I'm very troubled
by an administration that is going to say to us 'We are in such dire straits, virtual
national emergency, that we're going to have to react to it.'
Quite honestly, those are the same words said by people in the past that have led us into
martial law.
I'm very concerned.
We have problems with crime in America still.
It's not perfect, but there are much better ways to deal with it than consider it carnage.
It sounds like the Trump administration's solution so far is to put all this decision-making
in the hands of police themselves at least.
That is a problem.
I represent police officers.
I like police officers.
They do a great job.
I would not want to risk my life every day protecting us from ourselves, which is what
cops do, but systemically, we have problems with law enforcement.
Implicit bias exists and it exists within police departments, and they need to be better
trained for community policing and how to interact properly and more collaboratively
with the community rather than this law and order, because that doesn't work.
The cops are here to help, let's let them help, not become militia.
Mark O'Mara.
Thank you for your time this afternoon.
Great to be here.

Lilla Rose Flexi Hair Clip Review Live with Teresa - Collaboration - Duration: 8:53.
hi YouTube okay I want to show you guys
what I got today I've got something
really really fun I'm going to show you
the packaging first this is from Lilla
rose and it is what's the comfortable
durable and unique it is I was really
really surprised at what I got I'm going
to show you guys here it came in this
packaging inside inside this package
bubble wrap
really nice packaging and it's this
little hairpin here I'm going to show
you guys the back this is the first one
but I have a second one I'm going to
show you okay I want you guys to get a
look there so you can see the email and
the website where you can go to buy
these you can find them okay
Lilla Rose dot biz Kerry Bear okay so
this is a little bobby pin look at how
pretty that is and so you can take and
put it in your hair and check this out
if you wanted to you could place it on a
hat just like this you see that now you
I know you guys might be able to put it
in there better than I did but just like
that you could put it in there
and this is the other thing okay this is
what I was thinking
so say you wanted to put something
temporary on your hat this is how you
would do it so you could take your
little bobby pin here and it probably
would be helpful if I well let me try
try something a little different here
I'm going to take it off my head and
then pin it through here just like that
okay so say that you wanted to have a
pretty little thing and a temporary ball
on your hat you could do this hole and
then you'd have a pretty little design
here now I know you guys will be able to
attach them in there better than me but
this is just showing you guys I wanted
to show you some different ideas now I'm
going to show you the signature piece
we're saving the signature piece and so okay
it was all wrapped up in here now this
this is for your hair so it came in this
pretty I would call it it's a
combination between purple and pink it's
not pink but it's really pretty
it matches the packaging so I'm going to
place that in there for right now now
this is how it is when it's together
just like that because I was looking at
it and I'm thinking how in the heck does
that work but it's not as hard as what
it looks you see how it's flexible it's
a flexi clip here so and there's little
gouges here in the back where you can
clip it and then it'll hold on so but I
want to show you guys this this okay I'm
going to take it right here put it
through the Hat and then clip it onto
the Hat just like that I totally love
this I totally totally love this maybe I
put mine on too high but this is another
way that you could wear your clip so if
you wanted to have different jewelry
styles this is how you can do it on your
hat I'm going to put it down a little
lower because I that's that's too high
but that's just how easy it is that's
how easy it is just I love this I
totally totally love this oh now here's
something else this is a little thicker
so I'm going to show you guys right here
like this I'm going to put pierce it
through here and then put it up over
here so it's going to have some bulk in
here and so so this bends and then you
put it through and then you push the
clip through just like that and then it
latches a hold in there just like that
so if you wanted something you know say
you wanted to put this up a little
higher so I'm going to do I'm going to
show you guys again so then
to undo it you push it through just like
that unclip it now I'm going to clip it
a little bit higher up here okay and
this is just perfect for hats okay I'm
going to put it Pierce it through there
and then put it up on the other side on
the inside and then I'm going to bend it
and then push it through and then latch
ahold of it and so you can see this is
on the first latch right there I still
have two more latches that I could hold
on you know that it would grab ahold of
just like that so it would take in more
bulk if you had more bulk or you wanted
it closer together like that
it would take in a lot more bulk just
like that so I'm going to show you guys
here let's put it on my head and then
there that's what it looks like I love
this I totally love this I think this is
a great idea and this is what I'm
thinking about so say that you have a
holiday but maybe st. Patty's Day or the
fourth of July I'm there's all kinds of
pins that you could use with your hats
all kinds of pins you could use with
your hats so if you're like me I like
wearing my hats and I will wear them
from time to time and I think they're
fun the hats especially a lot of fun
they're practical and they're fun you
kind of show off your personality
there's a lot of places where you can
wear your hats to a lot of events you
know at all that's kind of a way of
expressing yourself so yeah I I think
two thumbs up so I'm going to show you
guys to the literature that came along
so you can see in here they did come
inside this bag - I need to mention that
it was inside of a pretty little ziploc
bag maybe I should have mentioned it at
the beginning I'm mentioning it now
and so okay this is the Lila Rose
fashion hair accessory from under ten
look at that there are my flexi sizes
are extra small small medium large extra
large and mega so if you had a lot of
hair then you would might maybe you'd
want to get the mega and that's what I'm
thinking for me I like to put my hair in
a ponytail and like when I go somewhere
say to the beach or you know like when
we're on the ship this would have been
perfect for me we just got back from
vacation not too long ago and this would
have been perfect I had tired of using
ponytail holders and then they hurt and
I did clip this in my hair it did not
hurt it didn't get tangled in my hair
and so let me give you a little
demonstration but first I'm going to
show you the other piece of literature
that came with it this is the other
piece of piece of literature this is
what's inside and it gives you cleaning
and finish knowing your clip how to
style your hair and okay this is what
I'm going to do I might end up looking
funny but that's okay that's me okay so
I took it out now I'm going to put it
right up here I hope you guys can see
that so I probably don't this is what
I'm going to do I'm going to just put
this right up here like this so say I
want to clip my hair up just like that
then I'm bending it over and so I push
it back and then over just like that so
you can see how easy that is to put it
up there just like that then you have a
pretty little thing in your hair just
like that so two thumbs up I totally
totally
I'd say Lilla Rose you rock and so I want
to thank you guys so much for watching
go to Lilla Rose and buy hair clips
thank you so much for watching and I'll
see you soon
peace love and avocados love you guys

DECLASSIFIED CIA DOCUMENTS SHOW AGENCY'S CONTROL OVER MAINSTREAM - Duration: 13:26.
DECLASSIFIED CIA DOCUMENTS SHOW AGENCYS CONTROL OVER MAINSTREAM MEDIA & ACADEMIA
A declassified document from the CIA archives in the form of a letter from a CIA task force
addressed to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency details the close relationship that
exists between the CIA and mainstream media and academia.
The document states that the CIA task force now has relationships with reporters from
every major wire service, newspaper, news weekly, and television network in the nation,
and that this has helped us turn some intelligence failure stories into intelligence success
stories, and has contributed to the accuracy of countless others. Furthermore, it explains
how the agency has persuaded reporters to postpone, change, hold, or even scrap stories
that could have adversely affected national security interests or jeopardized sources
and methods.
Although it is a document outlining their desire to become more open and transparent,
the deception outlined by various whistleblowers (example) requires us to read between the
lines and recognize that the relationships shared between intelligence agencies and our
sources of information are not always warranted and pose inherent conflicts of interest.
Herein lies the problem: What is national security, and who determines that definition?
JFK bravely told the world that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of
pertinent facts far outweigh[] the dangers which are cited to justify it. He also
said that there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will
be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official
censorship and concealment.
National security is now an umbrella term used to justify concealing information,
but who makes these decisions? You can read more about our world of secrecy and the Black
Budget here.
Not only are countless documents classified every single year in North America, but false
information and fake news are routinely dispersed, mainly by mainstream media outlets
a reality that is clearly conveyed in this document and has been expressed by multiple
mainstream media journalists themselves. And as with the NSA surveillance program that
was exposed by Edward Snowden, its a global problem.
Dr. Udo Ulfkotte, a prominent German journalist and editor for more than two decades, is one
example. He blew the whistle on public television, stating that he was forced to publish the
works of intelligence agencies under his own name and that noncompliance with these orders
would result in him losing his job. (source)
Sharyl Attkisson and Amber Lyon, both well-known mainstream media reporters and journalists,
have also exposed funded movements by political, corporate, and other special interests, and
have revealed that they are routinely paid by the U.S. government as well as foreign
governments to selectively report and distort information on certain events. (source)(source)
Lets not forget about Operation Mockingbird, a CIA-based initiative to control mainstream
media.
The document not only outlines the CIAs role in media, but also the entire entertainment
industry in general, lending further weight to revelations offered by celebrities like
Jim Carrey. He appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying that, For years now,
talk show hosts, people on television, people in sitcoms have been, hired by the government
to throw you off the tracks, to distract you, to make you laugh and stuff like that, make
you happy and docile so you dont know whats really going on.
While some question whether he was merely joking, the facts still remain. Another celebrity,
who was clearly serious, is Roseanne Barr, who referenced the CIAs MK Ultra mind control
program a previously classified research program through the CIAs scientific intelligence
division that tested behavioural modification and perception manipulation on human beings.
What we seem to have here is an attempt to manipulate public perception of global events
through mainstream media and news publications. But whats perhaps most interesting is the
fact that a lot of people are now waking up and seeing through many of these lies and
manipulation tactics. Instead of just blindly believing what we hear on television, more
people are starting to think critically, do independent research, and examine a wide array
of sources and information.
So many opportunities have emerged within the past few years allowing others to see
this more clearly. One was the recent fake news epidemic, where evidence surfaced
exposing information that threatened the global elite. Wikileaks is perhaps one of the greatest
examples. For mainstream media to basically label everything else as fake news was
quite ironic, given that it seems the majority of people consider mainstream media themselves
to be the real fake news, and this is now even more evident given the information
presented above in this article.
The documents also touch upon the fact that they are constantly in touch with the entertainment
industry, giving advice on scenes and direction, as well as how things happened in certain
situations. Personally, I feel the industry is largely used to push propaganda, like patriotism.
Patriotism is pumped into the population to support a large military in the name of national
security. We are being fooled, wars are not waged for defence, but for offence and
to push forth political agendas.
So you see, there are multiple reasons for these CIA connections to various industries.
Academia
From a young age were taught that getting an education is the key to living a good life.
Getting a decent job, making good money, even finding the right partner all depend on
following a certain path. Yet many concepts and topics are, as previously illustrated,
kept from public viewing, and this includes plenty of important science.
The U.S. intelligence community investigated parapsychology (ESP, remote viewing, telepathy,
etc.) for more than two decades, for instance. Russell Targ, a physicist who has spent several
decades working in a U.S. government program exploring these concepts, recently shared
his experience doing so in a TED talk that is now approaching 1 million views.
Another great example of Black Budget science comes from Ben Rich, the second director of
Lockheed Skunkworks, who worked there from 1975-1991. Hes been called the Father of
Stealth, having overseen the development of the first stealth fighter, the F-117 Nighthawk.
Before his death, Rich made several shocking open statements about the reality of UFOs
and extraterrestrials.
We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked
up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit
humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do it.
We now have technology to take ET home. No it wont take someones lifetime to
do it. There is an error in the equations. We know what it is. We now have the capability
to travel to the stars.
There are two types of UFOs the ones we build and the ones they build.
To read more about those comments and examine the sources, you can refer to this article
that goes into more detail about it.
Information like this, including testimony from hundreds of others, suggests that the
classified world is much more advanced than our mainstream one.
This particular document states that the agency exposes administrators of academic institutions
to the agency on a regular basis.
Obviously, as with any other job, the CIA would be looking for what they consider to
be qualified individuals. But the document does outline its close relationship with academia
in general.
This is because certain developments and information that stem from academia could threaten national
security and therefore must be kept out of the curriculum, and the public domain.
Take, for example, documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that
reveal how the U.S. government has been using a secret system to withhold the approval of
some applications.
This 50-page document was obtained by Kilpatrick Towsend & Stockton, LLP, who commonly represent
major tech companies that include Apple, Google, and Twitter (to name a few). You can view
that entire document here. (source)
The program delaying patent applications is called the Sensitive Application Warning System
(SWAS). Usually when an application is submitted for a patent approval, it requires a couple
of examiners who work with the Patent Office to go through their process of approval. This
process usually takes one to two years, but applications that are filed in SAWS must be
approved from several people, and can be delayed for a number of years.
One great example (out of many) of delayed patent applications comes from Dr. Gerald
F. Ross, who filed a patent application for a new invention he had devised to defeat the
jamming of electromagnetic transmissions at specified frequencies. It was not until June
17, 2014 (almost 37 years later) that this patent was granted. (source)
Its important to note (as reported by the Federation of American Scientists see
annotated bibliography) that there were over 5,000 inventions that were under secrecy orders
at the end of fiscal year 2014, which marked the highest number of secrecy orders in effect
since 1994. (source)
Steven Aftergood from the Federation of American Scientists reports:
The 1971 list indicates that patents for solar photovoltaic generators were subject to review
and possible restriction if the photovoltaics were more than 20% efficient. Energy conversion
systems were likewise subject to review and possible restriction if they offered conversion
efficiencies in excess of 70-80%. (source)
This is all thanks to an act many people are unaware of. Its called the Invention
Secrecy Act, and it was written in 1951. Under this act, patent applications on new
inventions can be subject to secrecy orders, which can restrict their publication if government
agencies believe that their disclosure would be harmful to national security. (source)(source)
Final Thoughts
So, as you see, science and academia in the mainstream world can only go so far. We continue
to rely on government institutions to define truth and reality for us, to outline the limits
of what is possible. In many instances, these places to which we go to learn are actually
diminishing, not supporting, our creativity and critical thinking skills. Thats not
to say that there arent good aspects of the experience, but overall, we are not accessing
our full potential.
When information is hidden from us as well as manipulated at the same time, its only
going to spark more curiosity among the people. And thats one aspect of the current shift
in consciousness thats happening on our planet. Were beginning to see the human
experience in a different light, and starting to recognize that the time
for change is really here. What are we going to do about it?
