Today I wanted to film a Q&A video
to celebrate that we've finally reached
50,000 subscribers on YouTube. So yay
yay to you, guys, .....
YAY!
so yeah, I've asked you on various social
media, to ask me any type of questions
that you wanted. And then, I picked several
of them. That seemed the most
interesting for me to answer so we will
go with this for today. And I'm sorry if I did not
pick up your question, because
I think that we can maybe make this kind
of videos a tradition. I don't know, let
me know in the comments below, if you
like them. And second thing, is that you
guys actually asked me a very serious
questions. I mean, some questions that
cover a whole topic in freelance area,
like: how do I count how much should I
price my work, or do I always need to
have a contract with my client, and stuff
like that. so I think for those type of
questions I will make a separate videos
just to give you the more broad answer.
And today we will stick with the more
fun ones, I guess. Before we start, if you

where I am from, where am I living now,

It will be in the cards.
Which side it's gonna be... here, I guess... So yeah, and...
let's begin.
I actually have all of your questions
here. So, the first question is: "what is
your favorite food, and do you like sweet
stuff?"
Speaking of favorite food it's
actually kinda hard for me to answer.
I think, I have a pretty basic food...
how do you call it... like... habits =D So yeah,
I don't really eat meat, since I don't
really like the taste, and I'm not
the biggest fan of sugar either. And also
white flour, this kind of stuff, i mean,
in general. But apart from that I'm
pretty much an all eaither. So yeah,
talking about the sweet stuff, mmm, well,
the two things that I'll eat the most
it's dark chocolate, and I would really
prefer dark dark chocolate, like over 80%.
I also really like mint chocolate,
I think this is like the best flavour there is,
and also honey. So yeah, and lately,
in summer I really enjoyed gelato because
there are more and more gelato stores, here in
Prague. But I always go with the same
flavours like mint chocolate and straciatella
So I'm pretty basic like that,
sorry. So yeah. Next question consider
books, and you asked: "what are my
favourite books, and authors, and genres".
And it's kind of really hard to answer,
since I'm, again, I enjoy good read. And it
would be really hard for me to pick my
favourite author. But, considering genre,
I prefer something along sci-fi fantasy-ish
lines. Stuff like "Lord of the Rings",
"Harry Potter", Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett.
I would love to read more of those,
So yeah, again, speaking of books I would
divide it into two big categories.
I lately listen to a lot of books in audio.
So, when I'm listening in English,
I really love audible. it's amazing, because
most of the times when you get a book
from an author, like some contemporary
author, it will be narrated by them, and
it's amazing to hear their
voice, and their intonations. It's just like
the best thing ever.
So yeah, really like that. And when I'm
listening
in Russian, I go with "Литрес" app, but again,
All of the Russian classics
I would definitely check out there, because
they have the best artistic narrations.
And I've actually listened to
"The war and peace" last year. In school
I've never really liked it that much, never
even read it, actually. But last year, it's
just, it was straight into my heart. And I
absolutely loved it and I've actually
listened to it on the "Литрес". And then,
right now, on audible I'm listening to
"Fantastic Beasts" script. Yeah, because
that's just me, I'm sorry.
And on "Литрес" I'm listening to
Vladimir Gilyarovsky book, which is
amazing. I mean, you guys, if you have a
chance, just check him out, if you've never
heard of him. He's just so good, so good.
And then, the next thing is paper books.
And I've actually gathered
several of those that I read. So the first
thing is, the book that I read
every single evening now. And it's "Terror"
by Dan Simmons. It's actually really
scary because it's a horror book,
to begin with. But for me it's like
quadruple times more scary because the
whole story of this book takes place in
a Arctics?… Antarctics?… I'm not sure, sorry,
I'm so bad with geography. So I'm never
ever sure. Even though, you have a map here,
but anyway. It's in the place where
it is really cold and you don't have
pinguins, so which one is that.
Never mind, it's just ice and snow, and
like crazy cold weather, and I really,
I hate, well, if you listen, if you can hear
that's my cat.
So yeah, it's about really cold weather and
people there are dying from cold and
some kind of weird monster, that's live
there in the snow, and ice, and icebergs.
And I'm like: "I don't wanna be there".
But the book is amazing, the story
is amazing, and the language is just perfect.
So I totally do recommend you this one.
I'm actually reading several books
at the time, so don't judge me. Next book is
called "Girl boss", and it's by Sophia Amoruso,
and you probably know her, because she's
the girl who came up with a "Nasty gal"
company. Amazing company. And I really
loved her story, because she has the most,
I don't know, like authentic language,
I would say. And it's really inspiring,
because she just gives you her view on
how you can do your own girl boss
company. Which is actually something, that
I'm trying to do, and it's just about how
no matter how low do you start, no matter
what kind of person you are,
you can always succeed, and it's just...
totally recommend you this one. And the last
one is a book by Miriam Petrosyan.
And I'm not sure, if it exists in English, (it does, check the description!)
bur it's called "Dom v kotorom". It's about
an orphanage house. And it's just the story,
it's very very special.
The story is special and the language,
main character. There is so unconvenient,
not "convenient", wait a second, "not convenient",
that's not the word. Uncommon!
So yeah, and this book has illustrations
by Eya Mordyakova. She's amazing. And I will
leave a link to her Instagram, probably,
in the links below. So check this out.
Really touching book. And I have to
admit, I'm almost crying every time
I read it. It's just so nice. So yeah.

I would love to explore what do you guys
love to read and also I'm reading on my
phone, which I do like not that often.
I listen to the books more, but if I do,
I again, usually press app, and right now
I am reading a **** series,
because she just writes about space
in a such a homy cozy way, that I want to hug her
Aahh =D So yeah, this is it, about books.
Next question is which apps on your phone
do you use to inspiration and drawing.
And here I can only recommend you one thing.
It's called "Handy" and it is a app, where
you have 3d models of hands, male and
female hands, heads and feet, and you can
actually drag them in space, and see how
they rotate, and see how they behave,
you can use different light. So, this is
really, you know, handy, because when I
draw, usually I have a huge list of
reference and I have, you know, clothes
there, or maybe hairs. Like haircuts and,
you know, all this kind of stuff, hair
styling for my characters. But when
it comes to hands, it's usually, you know,
you can take a picture of your own hand,
but then, you have to think about the
lightning, because you use
different light in your scene, so I
find it so much more easier to do it on
this app. So I totally
do recommend you. And I think I have a
paid version. If not, I would definitely... no...
...hello...
I would definitely no think twice about
buying a paid version of this app.
It's amazing. Hello, yes, hello! Next question is:
"what does the comfort zone in drawing
means to you, and do you go out of the
comfort zone a lot?". And I had to think
about it, because it is a kind of a hard
question to me. But to me comfort zone is
probably drawing people, because I do it
a lot, and this is the most interesting
point in any drawing. The person, a human
or whatever. And the story that is
happening to them. So for me it's the
most comfortable thing to draw, because a
tried it everyday, but I would say, that out
of comfort zone for me right now is
drawing more in digital. And since you
guys know, I did not have any proper art
studying. I did not go to an art school.
Some things that might be really, like,
you know, like second nature to you,
is not obvious to me.
For example, I've never heard this
training of drawing a lot of still life
and stuff like that so for me it's hard to
draw different textures. Like reflective
texture, like shiny metal or gold,
or maybe some kind of material, or concrete,
or texture, I don't know. Window ****
and stuff like that, like glass. All of
those things are really hard for me to
understand. So to tackle this issue, I now
applied for two courses. I will be doing
a digital drawing class in the "Skills up" school
It's an amazing school in st. Petersburg,
and I will leave the link
down below, so definitely check them out.
The guys are awesome and it would be 3
months course, where I will learn how
to do those things on
my computer. Learn how to draw
them. And then I'm also taking a course
in character drawing. It will be an
intensive for one week. And again, it will
be in summer in st. Petersburg, again
from the same school. So I'm really
excited, I'm looking forward to it. But
this is more of like areas that are
really close to my comfort zone, and
it's out of my comfort zone, but still like
it's touching my comfort zone. But if
we're speaking about something that I'm
absolutely not interested in, I would say
that those are cars and architecture. And
I know that for me right now drawing
those things would not be like
going out of the comfort zone, but more
like going somewhere else and maybe not
having fun at all. I'm saying this,
because when I think about these things
like architecture and cars, I have
absolutely no feelings whatsoever. I mean
I don't hate it, I just, I'm just like: "meh,
whatever, don't care, sorry,..."
So yeah, I think that, when we are
talking about comfort zone,
it's really important that you have some
kind of emotional attachment to it. For
example, I love to draw people, it's just
the most interesting thing for me. But,
if you remember my last video, my #$%@ ... Are you okay?
My "sketchbook tour", I was talking about the
fact that before that, before this year,
I would despise CG drawings and
nice-looking girls with boobs. =D Stuff
like that. But I would really like hate it.
I would be like: "ew... you did this
kind of thing, that is doesn't really take
a big amount of training, you know?
Not good". But I was hating it, and then, you
know, from hatred to love it's really...
Those two feelings are really close to
each other. So now I'm doing CG,
and I am loving it. Like absolutely loving it.
So yeah. I think that this is the sign for
you to maybe try something else.
If you hate it, like: "Aeh..." But if you have no
feelings towards it, it's like, I mean,
I kind of like architecture, when it's
outside, but do I get excited drawing it?
No. Would I hate to draw it? probably not either,
but it's just like, whatever. The same
goes with cars. This is actually the joke
amongst my friends. They say, that it's
really economically easy
to date me, because you don't have to buy
a fancy car to, you know, to get my attention.
Because I would never understand the
difference between, you know, the most
cheapest car. And f... wt* he just farted... =D
Oh, the smell !!! Ohh, those gases.
You, guys... This is just... How can you do this.
But yeah, I would never tell difference between the
most expensive car and you know the
cheapest one. I don't even know their
name so I'm sorry.
So yeah. So I guess, this is it for today
