Pocahontas - Quantas Cores o Vento Tem (Colors of the Wind) - Cat Rox cover - Duration: 4:40.
You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know
You don't know
You think you own whatever land you land on
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name
You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bob cat why he grins?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once never wonder what they're worth
The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle of a hoop that never ends
How high does the sycamore grow
If you cut it down then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind
You can own the earth and still
All you own is earth until
You can paint
with all the colors
of the
wind.

Lights in the Distance - Duration: 2:02.
A young man suffering from insomnia was trying to fall asleep one night.
After many minutes, he was still awake as it got more and more late.
He turned on his side and looked out the window.
Noticing two streetlights in the distance, he rested his eyes on them and soon fell asleep.
The next night he found himself once again kept awake by his sleep disorder.
Remembering the remedy he tried the night before, he turned to his side and looked out
the window for the two streetlights.
He found them and once again fell asleep peacefully.
The next night his sleeping troubles were back, but he simply looked out the window
for the streetlights and rested his eyes on them.
Tonight they were flickering every few seconds.
He assumed that the bulbs would soon burn out, and as his eyes began to fall shut the
lights finally burnt out.
He woke up in the morning refreshed.
As he got up he looked out the window towards the streetlights, hoping someone would come
to fix them.
However, as he looked he noticed something odd: There weren't streetlights there.
He leaned closer to the window to double check, but still the streetlights were nowhere to
be found.
Then he looked down and noticed small claw marks on the window sill, as if something
was perched there.
His insomnia got worse.

The Untold Truth Of Disneyland - Duration: 6:47.
Disneyland has been enormously popular since it opened in 1955.
Even just saying "I'm going to Disneyland" became an advertising catchphrase.
"What are you going to do next?"
"I'm going to Disneyland!"
But as familiar as this theme park may seem, there are still things even the biggest Disney
fan may not know about "The Happiest Place on Earth."
Here's a look at the untold truth of Disneyland.
Not the first
It may be the most famous theme park of all time, but Disneyland wasn't the even the first
in California, much less the world.
The first amusement park based on a single theme was actually Santa Claus Land, which
opened in Indiana in 1946.
And while southern California's Knott's Berry Farm didn't start charging admission until
the late 60's, it began developing theme attractions well before Walt Disney even broke ground
on Disneyland.
There wasn't really a rivalry between the two parks, though.
Walt even invited Knott's Berry Farm owner Walter Knott to Disneyland's opening day in
an unlikely gesture of friendship.
"You're not even aware / you're such a funny pair / you're the best of friends!"
Million Dollar Duck
Nowadays, Disneyland looks like a no-brainer.
But at the time, even the other executives at Disney were skeptical.
So Walt had to get creative about the funding, borrowing against his life insurance policy
and approaching all three fledgling television networks about co-sponsoring the park.
Only ABC, the lowest rated network at the time, was desperate enough to meet with Walt.
They ended up getting a partial stake in the park in exchange for around $6 million in
cash and loans, as well as a guarantee from Walt that he would provide exclusive television
content for the network.
The result was the Disneyland TV show, which also served as a perfect national advertising
platform for the new park, including a live broadcast of opening day.
Just how successful was the partnership?
The Walt Disney Company would eventually grow so large, it bought ABC outright in 1995.
The Three Caballeros
People think of Walt Disney as the man who came up with everything in Disneyland, but
he had a lot of help from his imagineers.
Two men in particular made key contributions to the park.
Engineer Harrison "Buzz" Price made the fateful decision to locate the park in Anaheim, California,
which proved to be such a good choice that Walt later tasked him with finding a home
for Walt Disney World, resulting in the park being based in Orlando, Florida.
And Cornelius Vanderbilt Wood, Disneyland's first employee, was in charge of the construction
of the park.
But soon after completion, a clash of egos with Walt led to Wood being fired and all
but erased from the company's history.
The Yippie invasion
During Walt's lifetime, he kept a close watch on the park's daily management, leading to
some strange rules, including the fact that male employees and guests alike had to abide
by strict guidelines governing the length of their hair.
Yep, it sounds crazy now, but people were actually denied entry to the park because
Walt thought their hair was too long.
Eventually, though, Disneyland relaxed the hair rules for customers, leading the left-wing
activist group known as the Yippies to plan a demonstration in the park.
On August 6, 1970, several hundred Yippies staged what they called the "International
Yippie Pow-Wow."
While most of the Yippies were well behaved enough, things got out of hand when a group
began chanting obscenities on Main Street USA.
Guests reportedly sang "God Bless America" in response, but after one guest got in a
fight with a protester trying to hang a Yippie flag, Disneyland summoned 150 police officers
in riot gear and closed the park early.
A Whole New World
Original rides that still exist include the Mad Tea Party, King Arthur's Carousel, Peter
Pan's Flight, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, the Jungle Cruise, Autopia, and Snow White's Scary Adventures.
But while guests may think of Disneyland as timeless, over the years there have been dozens
of new rides and attractions that have come and gone, such as the mule rides, and the
Indian Village, which featured daily live acts by Native American performers who lived
in on-site housing.
"The Indian Village is a permanent and popular attraction.
Braves from many tribes are represented here."
Other ideas whose time has passed include an exhibit by Monsanto called "The Hall of
Chemistry," a tobacco shop on Main Street USA where guests could buy cigarettes and
cigars, and a bra store featuring an animatronic sorcerer known as "The Wizard of Bras."
The Aristocats
Legend has it that cats have lived in Disneyland since almost the beginning, with a cat clan
living in Sleeping Beauty's Castle that Walt found and wanted to keep alive.
Initially, cats on the property were adopted out to cast members' families, according to
the Disneyland Cats website.
Now they get to stay.
Currently, there are reportedly about 200 cats in the park, all of whom are spayed and
neutered.
Disneyland employees feed the cats, and cat-friendly guests like to spot the fabulous felines strolling
around the park.
The cats help with rodent removal—ironic for an empire started by a mouse.
Almost Angels
Disneyland is not always the Happiest Place on Earth, especially when it comes to people
who try to get out of rides when they're still running.
At least nine people have died in the park, mostly "the result of guests who apparently
ignored safety instructions and/or defeated rides' safety mechanisms," according to Snopes.com.
There also have been multiple injuries.
In 1998, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration cited Disneyland for violating
36 safety rules, while in 2013, Disneyland temporarily shut down The Matterhorn, Space
Mountain, and Soarin' Over California after OSHA fined the company $234,000 for safety
violations.
And in 2009, a paraplegic man was awarded $8,000 in a lawsuit for "pain and suffering"
after he got stuck on "It's A Small World" for a half hour.
Considering most people who go on the ride never get that song out of their head, it's
a miracle Disney has only had to pay off one claim for mental damages.
Walt's legacy
Perhaps the one thing that separates Disneyland from all the other theme parks in the world,
including Walt Disney World in Florida, is the fact that Walt himself oversaw all of
the attractions, even helping design some of the classic attractions that debuted following
his death in 1966, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion.
Walt loved the park so much he even had his own private apartment inside the park, above
the firehouse, from which he could work and watch the happy crowds pass by.
Walt did have one regret, though, which is that he didn't buy enough land to keep the
outside world from intruding on the park experience.
He made sure he didn't repeat that mistake when he planned Walt Disney World, purchasing
an amazing 47 square miles of property.
Sadly, though, he died without seeing Walt Disney World realized.
Walt once said, "Disneyland will never be completed.
It will continue to grow as long as there's imagination left in the world.
It is something that will never be finished.
Something that I can keep developing and adding to."
Or in other words,
"To all who come to this happy place, welcome.
Disneyland is your land."

Here's Why We Never Got To See Gladiator 2 - Duration: 6:43.
Ah, Hollywood.
It's a town where the streets are paved with gold…and dreams die every single day.
Seriously, where's that Goonies sequel we were promised?
And what the heck happened to Inception 2?
But while plenty of sequels to mega-hit films have struggled and failed to claw their way
out of development hell, few follow-ups have endured more setbacks than Gladiator 2.
The long-awaited follow-up to one of Ridley Scott's most popular movies, Gladiator 2 has
valiantly tried to battle its way into theaters.
But every time it rises up, the film is beaten back down.
It's time to grab your sword and helmet and finally figure out what happened.
Well, Maximus is dead
When Gladiator hit theaters in 2000, the sword-and-sandal epic wowed critics — it currently holds
an impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes — and it took home $457 million at the worldwide
box office.
The movie also fared well during awards season, taking home the Oscar for Best Picture and
nabbing the Best Actor prize for Russell Crowe.
The film pretty much turned Crowe into an international superstar, and nearly two decades
later, people still shout lines like this:
"Are you not entertained?"
Naturally, with such a massive hit on their hands, DreamWorks was quick to start developing
a sequel.
There was just one major, Coliseum-sized problem with the idea: Maximus Decimus Meridius, the
main character of the movie, is kinda, y'know, dead.
In the film's climactic moments, the evil Emperor Commodus, played by Joaquin Phoenix,
challenges Maximus to a gladiator battle.
There's no universe where Joaquin Phoenix beats Russell Crowe in hand-to-hand combat,
so Commodus evens the odds by secretly stabbing Maximus before tossing him into the arena.
Luckily, Maximus is fueled by revenge and righteous anger.
Fighting through the pain, Maximus kills Commodus with the emperor's own weapon before drifting
away into the wheat-filled afterlife.
It was a killer ending for a standalone film.
But it certainly makes things tricky for a sequel.
But hey, Hollywood had gotten around this kind of problem before, right?
Prequel problems
These days, prequels are all the rage, with everything from Star Wars, to X-Men, and the
Alien franchise going back to move forward.
DreamWorks was looking to do the same thing to get Maximus back into the world of the
living.
When people started whispering about a new Gladiator movie in 2001, the word on the web
was that the story would take place years before the events of the first film.
It was said to focus on Maximus' early days in the Roman military, showing the Spaniard's
rise from mere soldier to mighty general.
Producer Douglas Wick declared talks were underway to get the ball rolling, saying:
"You don't finally do something like [Gladiator 2] unless you have a dazzling story to tell."
The studio was reportedly looking to pay Crowe as much as $20 million to head back into the
arena.
The studio lined up David Franzoni, one of the original movie's writers, to put the script
together.
But, much like a Roman mob, Hollywood can be fickle —
"Maximus the Merciful!"
- and the project never made it out of development.
Shifting to a sequel
Sometime between 2001 and 2002, DreamWorks decided to put the brakes on a Gladiator prequel
and shift their focus to a sequel.
The first big change involved David Franzoni stepping away from his typewriter to produce.
The writing gig then went to John Logan, another one of the original Gladiator writers.
With a new guy putting words on the page, the story was suddenly set 15 years after
the events of the original film.
That same year, producer Walter Parkes hinted the film might possibly jump back and forth
in time, but it would mainly tell the story of Lucius, the royal son of Lucilla.
It would've followed Lucius as the last heir of Marcus Aurelius as he sought out his
true father — who, we would have discovered, would turn out to be Maximus.
Director Ridley Scott seemed on board with the idea, even declaring that Logan's script
was ready to go at one point.
However, the sequel was going to be significantly different from the first film when it came
to action.
As Scott explained, he wasn't going to "touch gladiators again" — a potentially controversial
choice for a movie tentatively called "Gladiator 2."
Instead, Scott was more interested in the political arena and wanted to focus on "politics
and praetorians" rather than blood and guts.
Scott also expected to start filming in 2005, but as 2004 faded into memory, Gladiator 2
was still stuck in the cinematic mud.
But, work continued, and the film eventually morphed into one of the greatest movies never
made.
Nick Cave's Christ Killer
If you've ever heard a Nick Cave song, then you know the Australian artist is basically
an old-timey prophet armed with a guitar.
His songs are brutal, apocalyptic, and spiritual in an Old Testament sort of way, and you get
that same vibe watching the movies he's been involved with over the years.
Cave has composed music for films like Hell or High Water and The Assassination of Jesse
James by the Coward Robert Ford.
He's also written scripts for movies like Lawless and The Proposition.
With that kind of cinematic mind, it's not surprising that Russell Crowe saw potential
in Cave's fire-and-brimstone brain, asking Cave to write the screenplay for Gladiator
2.
What is a bit surprising is how absolutely insane the script turned out to be.
Cave didn't disappoint when it came to figuring out how to follow-up Maximus' death.
The project was titled "Christ Killer," and would've opened in the afterlife, with Maximus
realizing he's dead.
Unfortunately, there's nary a wheat field in sight, and his wife and child are nowhere
to be seen.
Eventually, the gladiator comes face-to-face with the dying gods.
The decrepit deities make a deal with Maximus, promising to guide him to his family if he'll
kill a god who's gone rogue — one who's betrayed the Roman faith and now professes
belief in the "one, true God."
As Maximus agrees to do their dirty work, he eventually winds up on Earth, several years
in the future.
After returning to the real world, he discovers little Lucius has grown up to be a savage
soldier, one with a bad habit of violently murdering Christians.
Maximus eventually takes a stand with the persecuted Christians, leading an army against
the Roman legions, but after his victory, he's cursed to go through time as an immortal,
fighting in countless wars and popping up in every conflict from the Crusades to Vietnam.
If you think that sounds wild, we didn't even mention the purgatory scene, the Coliseum
filled with alligators, or the finale that takes place inside the Pentagon.
Yeah, the one in Washington, D.C.
Cave described the script as "a stone-cold masterpiece."
Sure.
Why not?
Not over yet
It's been pretty quiet the past decade, but Ridley Scott still hasn't given up on
Gladiator.
In March of 2017, Scott said he does "know how to bring him back," in reference to Maximus.
So, never give up, right?
Maximus wouldn't.
"UNGH!"

The Untold Truth Of My 600-lb Life - Duration: 3:34.
TLC's hit My 600-lb Life has been on the air since 2012, capturing a year in the the lives
of ordinary people experiencing extraordinary obesity, showcasing their struggles before,
during, and after weight loss surgery.
Here are a few things you might not know about the reality sensation.
Past movies
At least two women on My 600-lb Life modeled for so-called "fat fetish" sites featuring
large women eating on camera and striking sexually suggestive poses.
Before she got picked for the show, Zsalynn Whitworth was posting her lingerie photos
on fetish sites, in order to finance her weight loss surgery.
That's how she met her future ex-husband Gareth, who didn't want her to lose the weight …
"I like bigger women, so … it's a little upsetting to lose what you like."
And before she made her 600-lb appearance, Pauline Potter was "Paulee Bombshell" for
a site called Super Sized Bombshells.
Doc's divorce
Dr. Younan Nowzaradan — or "Dr. Now" as he is known on the show — had a messy divorce
that shed some unflattering light on the reality TV star.
Dr. Now's ex-wife Delores filed for divorce in 2002, before her husband's TV fame, claiming
he was cruel to her, among other shortcomings.
He appealed the division of property after a 2004 trial, but lost.
The appeals court opinion details how Dr. Now was accused of all sorts of shenanigans,
including allegedly hiding crucial information, denying the court access to records, and not
complying with court orders.
The fault in the breakup of the marriage was ultimately attributed to Dr. Now, and was
dissolved on "grounds of cruelty and insupportability."
Family ties
Dr. Now's son Jonathan is a TV producer for Megalomedia, an Austin, Texas-based production
company that filmed a 2007 documentary about Renee Williams, a local woman who weighed
840 pounds.
Dr. Now performed weight loss surgery on Williams after other doctors refused.
The documentary became Half Ton Mum in the UK, which led to follow-ups such as Half Ton
Dad, Half Ton Son and Half Ton Killer ...
"We've never had to make accommodations to get someone in the courtroom like this.
Never."
Megalomedia also filmed a number of gastric bypass patients for seven years, which was
edited into the first season of My 600-lb Life.
Jonathan is also credited as an executive producer for 17 episodes in the series.
In the dark
Most of the people on the show don't even know exactly how much they weigh until they
see Dr. Now, as standard bathroom scales generally don't measure more than 300 pounds.
Even scales in a typical doctor's office don't go high enough.
But according to TLC, the scale in Dr. Now's office goes all the way up to 900 pounds.
Media hounds
While My 600-lb Life did note that Steven Assanti, who appeared on the show in April
2017, made attention-seeking YouTube videos ...
"Thank you for paying taxes, because without you, I wouldn't have this urinal to pee in."
… the show didn't mention that he was also featured on Dr. Phil's three-part "House of
Hatred" "social experiment" in 2007 as "John" Assanti …
"Could you please go clean up your mess from eating?"
"Could you please shut the f--- up?"
In 2011, before landing a spot on TLC, Pauline Potter appeared on Dr. Phil, contacted the
Guinness Book of World Records' to get herself listed as the "Heaviest woman — living,"
and appeared on Dr. Drew that same year claiming she lost a lot of weight by having sex with
her ex-husband ...
"I did some research or whatever and found out you can burn 500 calories, so I guess
it didn't hurt.
So I was kind of having fun and helping myself at the same time."
After her appearance on My 600-lb Life, Potter says she hope to set another world record:
for most weight lost.
