A university hospital in Seoul may have fallen prey to a massive global cyber attack.

Officials from the hospital claim there is no damage to report as of yet, and a cyber

security team is working to verify if the facility was hit by the destructive virus

dubbed WannaCry.

The so-called "ransomware" locks up computers, demanding owners pay hundreds of dollars to

get their data back.

Cybersecurity firm AVAST reports there have been 75-thousand infections in 99 countries,

and the attack has slowed down over the weekend.

Ransoms paid so far amount to only tens of thousands of dollars, with some victims paying

via digital currency.

The state-run Korea Internet and Security Agency has been receiving reports of suspected

attacks from several companies in the nation since Saturday.

The agency add expanding use of IoT devices translate to greater vulnerability, as they

can be turned into zombie computers to be used as weapons of cyber-attacks.

God's Supernatural System of Promotion with Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons (Air Date 5-17-17) - Duration: 22:15.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: God's system of promotion in most cases will in

no way resemble the methods of the world. Join Gloria Copeland

and Pastor George Pearsons today as they discuss promotion

God's way, next on the Believer's Voice of Victory.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Believer's

Voice of Victory. Pastor George is back with us,

giving us good word on--today is what, George; god's system?

GEORGE: God's system of promotion. GLORIA: Mm. GEORGE:

Gloria, we've been talking about promotion. And the Scripture

that we've been using is Psalm 75:5, "Lift not up your horn on

high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion comes

neither from the east, from the west, nor from the south. But

God is the judge: he puts down one, and he sets up another."

GLORIA: Does that mean-- "Lift not up your horn on high," does

that mean, don't try to build yourself up? GEORGE: That's

exactly what it means. GLORIA: Don't try to promote yourself.

GEORGE: Don't try to promote yourself. God is your promoter.

GLORIA: God will promote you. Okay. GEORGE: And so Gloria and

I have been talking about this week, and we'll be talking next

week, about promotion. And we've been praying for you that it is

God's will for you to be promoted, to be advanced, to be

exalted. God wants to do that for you. GLORIA: And what does

He use to do that? Favor. GEORGE: He uses favor to do it.

GLORIA: He's got favor. GEORGE: He uses--and not only does He

use favor, but in the use of favor, He uses somebody that is

qualified for that promotion. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

And so we'll be talking more and more about that as we go along.

GLORIA: That's right. That's good. That's really good.

GEORGE: But, we want you to know that, first of all, all of the

outlines are available to you. GLORIA: You've got to give Him

something to promote. GEORGE: You've got to give Him something

to promote. You've got to--you've got to give Him

something to work with. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: "Give Me

something to work with." GLORIA: That's it. That's right. GEORGE:

(Laughs) So we are--all of the outlines for this series that

we're doing, they're available on kcm.org. Just go to the

website, look for the picture of Gloria and me, click onto it,

and it will take you not only to these outlines, but it'll take

you to all of the outlines, over 260 outlines that Gloria and I

have done on the subject of prosperity. GLORIA: 260. GEORGE:

So you can go ahead and check those out. And I do want to make

a correction from yesterday, Gloria. GLORIA: Oh, no. Did we

make a mistake? GEORGE: We were talking about Old Yeller, the

car. GLORIA: Old Yeller, yeah. GEORGE: It was the car. GLORIA:

Was it a '54 Chevrolet? GEORGE: I said yesterday it was a '55

Chevrolet-- GLORIA: Oh, you gave us a little promotion. GEORGE:

It's a '54 Chevrolet. You were right. You actually said that

yesterday. You were right. GLORIA: Well, some things you

can't forget, George. GEORGE: No, you can't. Kenneth bought

that car while you and Kenneth were dating, and that car went

on into your marriage. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: And I like what

you said, though. It was-- GLORIA: What did I say? GEORGE:

You were grateful. GLORIA: We were. GEORGE: You were grateful

for that car. GLORIA: It beats walking. GEORGE: It

beats--(Laughs) GLORIA: Even if the headliner was hanging down.

GEORGE: Even if it was hanging down. But I'll tell you

something, Gloria. And we used this yesterday. I'll show this

picture again. But it's a picture of your car, and then

what we put beside it was a picture of the Citation X.

GLORIA: Oh, that's good. I like that. GEORGE: And I must say,

you have come a long way in your transportation modes. GLORIA:

We've learned quite a lot since then. GEORGE: You really have.

And we're showing kind of a combination of the two of them.

GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. And, you know, you've got to start where

you are. GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: That's where we were.

GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: And the Word will work with you

if you'll work with it. GEORGE: You know, there's some people

out right there--out right now, listening to us, watching us.

GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: They need to go out to their car and say,

"Lord, I thank You for this car. Thank You--" GLORIA: You

should--if you're watching, you should have seen Old Yeller, but

it just beat walking all to pieces. GEORGE: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

(Both Laugh) And I think he said he got it for $350 in the back

of the-- GLORIA: I'm not sure it was that much. GEORGE: --out in

the back of the lot. But you all have had--you've been promoted

because you have been doing promotion God's way. There is a

system of promotion that God has, and there's a system of

promotion that the world has. And that's what we're going to

take a look at today. GLORIA: All right. That sounds

interesting. Good. GEORGE: So let's--first of all, we're going

to take a look at the world's system of promotion. And in

Genesis 11--we have our Scriptures down there on the

page there-- GLORIA: I got it. GEORGE: --if you want to take a

look at it. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. GEORGE: In Genesis 11:4, it

says, "Let us build a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven;

and let us make us a name." GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: Well, that

is it in a nutshell. The world's system of promotion is

self-promotion. "I am going to build myself a name. I am going

to do this myself. And I am going to use every means that I

have to climb over people." Like I put down here, "In the world,

people endeavor to promote themselves. They push one

another aside as they climb the corporate ladder. They have no

regard for God or for others." That's how the world system of

promotion is. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: And it really

isn't promotion, if you will. It's--it's really them trying to

make themselves somebody at the hands of somebody else. GLORIA:

Yeah, yeah, that's right, at the expense of somebody else. Yeah.

GEORGE: And there's a perfect example of this in Isaiah

14:12-15. I'll read it to you. It's--this is about Satan and

Satan falling, and he was trying to promote himself. This is the

world's system of promotion. It says, "How you have fallen from

heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You've been cast down

to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in

your heart, 'I will ascend to heavens; I will raise my throne

above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of

the assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

I will ascend above the top of the clouds; I will make myself

like the Most High.' But you are brought down to the grave, to

the depths of the pit." Now, there's a perfect example there

of somebody who was trying to exalt himself. GLORIA: Yeah.

That's right. GEORGE: He was trying to push himself. And I

know, Gloria, that you've experienced this, and I've been

around people before, that have tried to promote themselves,

they've tried to push themselves. And, oftentimes--and

Brother Savelle talks about this a lot, too. He says that there

have been so many people over the years that have told Brother

Savelle--has said, "I am with you. I'm with you forever, and

I'm going to--I'm going to help make this ministry and I'm going

to help build this ministry," and they're gone. They've

disappeared. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: Well, it's the same

thing with the devil. He was trying to promote himself. And

what he was trying to promote himself was above the throne of

God. And you just can't do that. GLORIA: No. That--you don't have

the capabilities. GEORGE: You don't have the capability to do

that. And that's what was happening in the book of

Genesis. "Let us build a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven;

let us build a name." You do not have to build a name for

yourself. Gloria, there are way too many--there are far too many

pastors and ministries that are trying to promote themselves.

They're-- GLORIA: I will tell you how to promote--how to be

promoted. GEORGE: Tell me. GLORIA: You do what you're told.

GEORGE: Do what you're told to do. GLORIA: And that proves your

faithfulness-- GEORGE: That's it. That's it. GLORIA: --and

that puts you in line for promotion. GEORGE: Well--

GLORIA: But, you know, we never tried to dream up something to--

GEORGE: Yeah. GLORIA: "If we do this, it'll put us over." No,

that's the world. GEORGE: That's not what we do here. GLORIA: No.

GEORGE: And I have so learned that through you and Kenneth

over all of these years. 50 years of ministry you've been

in. I've been here for 41 years. And I have listened very

carefully to you. GLORIA: You've been a very good listener.

GEORGE: And we've had--there have been times that I've been

involved in meetings where there have been discussions about,

"How do we promote this?" or "How do we promote that?" But it

doesn't last. GLORIA: No. GEORGE: It never has. That's not

our style. That's not the way we do. I can remember the day that

your brother, who was the executive director for a time,

Doug Neece, and there was an advertising company that was

doing some work with us and they--we were building the

building out here. And we were--we were running out of

finances to build the building. So Brother Copeland-- GLORIA:

Because we were paying cash. GEORGE: Paying cash. So Brother

Copeland decided, "We're just going to shut down building the

building--" GLORIA: Yeah, that's what he did. GEORGE: "--so that

we can focus on direct ministry." Well, the--this

company had an idea and they wrote a letter. And it was an

appeal letter-- GLORIA: For us to use. GEORGE: For us to use.

And by--you know, at the time that we were building that

building, that was 1985 or so. I'd been around--I'd been around

about nine years, almost 10 years by that time. And--

GLORIA: You should have picked up some things for then. GEORGE:

Oh, I picked up some things all right. Well, your brother, Doug,

handed me the letter and said, "Go down to Kenneth and Gloria's

house." You were living at Lake Country at the time. He said,

"Drive over to their house and give this letter to Kenneth."

And I looked at it and I read it. And it was an appeal letter

for money for the building to help--to--and it was crafted. It

was not Kenneth. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: And I read it and I

looked at Doug. Now, Doug's my boss and I respect him. I said,

"I'm not taking this letter down to him." GLORIA: "You take it."

GEORGE: He said, "George," he said, "just take the letter to

him and see what he says." I said, "I know what he's going to

say." He said, "George, just take the letter." "Okay." So I

went down to the house. And you can picture this. This was the

kitchen-- GLORIA: Yep. GEORGE: --at that house. And so Kenneth

and I sit down at a table very much like this. And I said,

"They gave me this letter." So I pushed the letter over to him

and he picked it up and he read the letter. And he looked up at

me. GLORIA: (Laughs) GEORGE: And he looked up at me as if I were

the spirit of compromise itself. GLORIA: Did you see fire in his

eyes? GEORGE: Did I ever see fire. Did I ever see fire in his

eyes. He put that letter down and he pointed at me like this.

And he said, "Do not seek ways to get the money in. You--" I'll

point at you. "Do not seek ways to get the money in. You seek

ways to get the Word of God out there, and the money will come

in." GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: So I took the letter

back to Doug. And I went back to Doug's office. He said, "What

did he say?" I said, "You don't seek ways--" GLORIA: He got the

message. GEORGE: (Laughs) "You don't seek ways to get the money

in. You seek ways to get the Word out." Well, all that to say

there are so many people that try to self-promote them.

GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: "What can we do to get money from them?

What can we do to get favor? What can we do to edge our way

in? What can we do to get on His platform and to get on that

platform?" And that's--that is the world's-- GLORIA: Promote

themselves. GEORGE: --way of trying to promote yourself and

it's wrong. GLORIA: Yeah, it is. GEORGE: It's wrong. GLORIA: And

it's not very good--it doesn't work very well. GEORGE: It

doesn't work very well. GLORIA: It kind of blows up in your

face. (Laughs) GEORGE: Doesn't it? Doesn't it? GLORIA: Yeah.

GEORGE: And I know--I know that it's been tried in ministry. And

I'm telling you folks I have learned from the very best about

how we approach ministry. And Kenneth and Gloria are the least

self-promoting people that I have ever met in my life.

GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: And that's the way we have to be. So

the devil tried to do that. And it says, in Ezekiel 28:17--this

is God talking to the devil, "Your heart was filled with

pride because of all your beauty." Now, Gloria, pride as

everything to do with self-promotion. GLORIA: Oh,

yeah. Oh, yeah, it does. GEORGE: Pride is the basis of the

world's system of promoting itself. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. GEORGE:

So God said to the devil, "Your heart was filled with pride

because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your

love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to

the curious gaze of kings." See, that goes back-- GLORIA: That's

quite a translation, isn't it? GEORGE: That's the New Living.

That goes right back to our foundation Scripture from Psalm

75 there at the top of your page. "Do not lift your horn on

high: speak not with a stiff neck. Promotion neither comes

from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But

God is the judge." He's the one that's in the north. That's

Scripture. God is in the north. "God is the judge: he puts down

one, and," lifts up, or he, "sets," or He promotes,

"another." The devil was trying to promote himself and he was

put down. And look at this at the bottom of your page. GLORIA:

That scripture--the--what is that, "TLB"? What is that?

GEORGE: The Living Bible. GLORIA: "For promotion and power

come from nowhere on earth." Is that plain enough? GEORGE:

That's plain enough right there. GLORIA: "But only from God."

GEORGE: Only from God. GLORIA: That's quite a Scripture.

GEORGE: He promotes one and He deposes another. GLORIA: Mm. I'm

on His side. GEORGE: Yeah. And we don't--so many times--and I'm

talking from ministry perspectives. So many times,

they have tried the world's system of promotion to promote

their ministry, "Got to get my name out there. Got to get my

name in front of people." Gloria, that is-- GLORIA: We've

never done that. GEORGE: That's distasteful in the mouth of God.

That's wrong. You don't have to do that. You really don't have

to do it. GLORIA: In fact, you don't want to do that. GEORGE:

You don't want to do that because--because look at the

last Scripture here at the bottom of your page. "The wise

shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the promotion of

fools." GLORIA: Mm. GEORGE: It is a foolish thing to try to

promote yourself-- GLORIA: That's the truth, George.

GEORGE: --because shame is your promotion. That--isn't that

something? GLORIA: That is something. GEORGE: Shame is the

promotion. I never thought about that before-- GLORIA: No?

GEORGE: --about the promotion of the ungodly. Their

promotion--they're not promoted to a higher place. They--their

place is-- GLORIA: Less. GEORGE: --less. GLORIA: That's right.

GEORGE: They're promoted to less if you will. So that's the

world's system of promotion. But we do not operate on the world's

system of promotion. GLORIA: No. GEORGE: We operate by God's

system of promotion. GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: If you look at

page two, let's look at God's system of promotion. And the

Scripture that I used there, Gloria, was Genesis 12. And in

Verses 1 and 2 in the Amplified Translation, it says, "Now in

Haran the Lord said to Abram, Go," for yourself, for your own

advantage, "away from your country, from your relatives and

your father's house, to the land that I will show you." Now, you

just said to me a little while ago that to qualify for

promotion, you have to obey-- GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

--what God tells you to do. GLORIA: Yeah. That's it. GEORGE:

So God spoke to Abraham--to Abram, "Get out of your country,

get away from your family, your relatives, your father's house,

and go to the land that I will show you." Your prosperity is on

the other side of your obedience. GLORIA: And it's

where God shows you. I'll show you where to go to get promoted.

GEORGE: That's it. GLORIA: That's it, isn't it? That's

good, George. GEORGE: That's it. GLORIA: I like that. GEORGE:

Well, He said--now, listen to this, Gloria: "I will make of

you a great nation--" GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: "--I will bless

you with abundant increase of favor and make your name famous

and distinguished, and you shall be a blessing - dispensing good

to others." GLORIA: Now, where is that? In the land He shows

you. GEORGE: In the land He shows you to go to. That's it.

GLORIA: And sometimes it looks like, "How can I ever do that?"

you know? GEORGE: Yeah, yeah. GLORIA: But you just have to

take the next step. GEORGE: Yeah. He was not trying to

self-promote himself. He was not trying to do that. God's system

of promotion--He said, "I'll make of you a great nation. I

will bless you. I will make your name great." See, I'll tell you

what I did. I'll go back here to Genesis 12. Brother Copeland

showed this when he was preaching one time. This was

very interesting. And it says here, in Genesis 11--this is

about the tower they were building. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE:

They said, "Let us build a city and a tower--" GLORIA: Us.

GEORGE: Us, us, us. "--and that the top may reach unto heaven;

and let us make us a name." GLORIA: Oh, my. Phew. GEORGE:

Well, Kenneth said, "Take--take a pen and put a line in your

Bible from, 'Let us make a name,' over to Genesis 12 where

God says, 'I will make of you a great nation. I will bless

you--'" GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. GEORGE: "'--and I will make your

name great; and you shall be a blessing.'" GLORIA: Praise God.

GEORGE: You see the difference. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: There's

the world's system of promotion, and there's God's system of

promotion. GLORIA: And He has far surpassed this, surpasses

the world. GEORGE: He does. He will bring you-- GLORIA: Oh, my.

That is good, isn't it? GEORGE: He will bring you into a much

higher place. Listen--listen to me. God is the source of your

advancement. God is the source of your promotion. GLORIA: Yes,

He is. GEORGE: It doesn't--it doesn't matter where you start.

It doesn't matter if you feel like if you're at the very

bottom. Don't blame the company. Don't blame your boss. Don't

blame anybody else. But you do--you know, you think about

Joseph being in prison and how Joseph--when he was working for

Potiphar, then he got involved in the scandal that Potiphar's

wife tried to bring up. Well, Potiphar believed his wife put

Joseph in prison. And no matter where Joseph went, he rose to

the top. Why? Because he was obedient, he was disciplined, he

was diligent, he was faithful, he was a man of integrity.

GLORIA: Yes, that's right. That's right. GEORGE: And every

time he'd go to a low spot, he would just--he would buoy his

way back up to the top. He'd float back up to the top again.

And then it happened once again when he was in that prison and

this time it's the pharaoh that--he had a dream and, "I

need an interpreter for the dream." And none of the--none of

his interpreters could interpret that dream. And his wife said to

him--listen to your wives. His wife said to him, "There is

somebody in prison that is wise and has wisdom and can interpret

this." So he had him come back out from prison. He interpreted

that dream. He pulled Joseph from the very pit, brought him

back up, and Joseph eventually became the ruler right under

Pharaoh. He was--his reign did not include the throne, but it

was right under. And Joseph turned the entire nation of

Egypt around. I mean, that--God made a name-- GLORIA: Yes, he

did. GEORGE: --for him. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: He didn't

have to make a name for himself. And you don't have to do that.

God will promote you. And I like this Scripture, number 3 there,

Gloria, I Corinthians 12:18, "God has set the members every

one of them in the body, as it has pleased him." And this is my

confession over my life. He sets me wherever it pleases Him.

GLORIA: Yes, I believe that for myself. Hallelujah. Wherever it

pleases Him. GEORGE: He sets me wherever it pleases Him. He sets

you wherever it pleases Him. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: That's what

you need to be saying. That's what you need to be confessing.

And, you know, Gloria, we talked yesterday about the archive and

all of the photographs. And I was looking at the pictures

where you and Kenneth started and you began. And Wichita Falls

in 1968 and-- GLORIA: Ooh, Andy, that was a long time ago.

GEORGE: --and preaching--preaching in

that--that old, hollowed-out pharmacy that was there and--

GLORIA: Old drugstore. GEORGE: --the old drugstore that was--

GLORIA: "Pharmacy's" too good a word. Drugstore. GEORGE: That

was too--an old drugstore. And I'm watching the progression

that you and Kenneth are making. And then I'm watching you in

front of all of the people at ORU, receiving your degrees from

ORU. I'm looking at all of what God has done. And, you know, you

and Kenneth have always had the mentality, "He sets me wherever

it pleases him." All you've wanted to do is please God. And

I'll just wrap it up with this: The world's system of promotion

is, "How can I do it? How can I get it? How can I make a name

for myself?" God's system of promotion is, "How can He do it?

How can He lead me? Lord, what do I want? What do You want me

to do?" GLORIA: That's right, "What do You want?" GEORGE: And,

"Lord, You set me in the body where it pleases You. I want--"

Instead of us making a name for ourselves, we make a name for

Him. GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: That's the key to promotion--

GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: --to make a name for Him. GLORIA: Instead

of making a way for--a way for ourselves-- GEORGE: A way for

ourselves. GLORIA: --we make a way for Him to

move in. Glory to God. GEORGE: That's it, Gloria.

GLORIA: I like it, George. GEORGE: That's it, Gloria.

GLORIA: Hallelujah. George and I will be right back.

North Korea will talk with U.S. under 'right conditions': N.K. diplomat - Duration: 0:53.

Pyongyang claims it is ready for a meeting with Washington.

Choe Son-hui..., the Director-general of the North America bureau of North Korea's foreign

ministry told reporters in Beijing on Saturday... the regime will hold talks with the U.S. "under

the right conditions."

She was returning from Norway after meeting with a group of American experts,.. including

Robert Einhorn, the U.S. State Department's former special adviser for nonproliferation

and arms control.

Choe's response raises the possibility for bilateral contact after months of heightened

tensions... especially since U.S. President Donald Trump did mention he would be "honored"

to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un if the conditions were right.

When asked whether the reclusive state is preparing to hold talks with the Moon Jae-in

administration in South Korea,... she said the situation is being observed.

Promotion Is a Result of Your Character with Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons (Air Date 5-19-17) - Duration: 18:26.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Acknowledging God for all He does in your life

is the mark of being truly successful, and promotion is a

result of that gratitude. Join Gloria Copeland and Pastor

George Pearsons next on the Believer's Voice of Victory.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Believer's

Voice of Victory broadcast. Pastor George Pearsons

is back with us again, and we are hearing some good

things. This one we're coming up on is promotion. Is that right?

GEORGE: Mm-hmm. That's right. GLORIA: Promotion God's way.

GEORGE: Yep. GLORIA: Now, if you're interested in promotion,

you don't want to miss it. If you're not interested in

promotion, go get your head examined, because promotion is

good. GEORGE: That's right. It is God's will for us to be

promoted. GLORIA: That's right. It is. GEORGE: Thank you for

having me on this week. GLORIA: Oh, George, we're glad to have

you. GEORGE: And I'm looking forward to our time next week

together. GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: And those of you that have been

following us for all of these years, you know that we make all

of the outlines available to you. You can just go to kcm.org

and go to the picture of Gloria and me. Click onto it and it'll

take you to the outlines that we're preaching on this series

here. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: And it will also take you to all of

the outlines, all of the ones that we've done for all of these

years-- GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: --on prosperity. And we

are talking about promotion. We're talking about--and this is

what I had in my heart for the people for these two weeks that

we have, is that the Lord wants us to have a promotion

mentality, that it is His desire that we advance-- GLORIA: That's

right. GEORGE: --that we rise up, that we continue to develop

and go from--from glory to glory-- GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE:

--from faith to faith, from level to level. And He has

supernatural favor, opportunities, open doors that

are available to us, and He wants to see His body, He wants

to see His people get the best positions-- GLORIA: That's

right. GEORGE: --have the best raises. He wants some

billionaires out there, a lot of billionaires out there. GLORIA:

I'll volunteer. GEORGE: Yeah, me, too. And--but He's teaching

us here about promotion, what it takes, the fact that it is the

will of God. And, Gloria, what I thought we would do-- GLORIA:

Let me add--let me add this before you go to something else.

GEORGE: Yeah, please. Please. GLORIA: What is an--what is

another word for "promotion"? Blessing. GEORGE: Mm-hmm,

mm-hmm. GLORIA: It's the blessing at work. GEORGE: That's

right. GLORIA: And you're--when you yield to promotion, you're

letting the blessing come out-- GEORGE: That's right. That's

right. GLORIA: --do what it's called to do. GEORGE: When God

spoke the blessing over Adam, over man-- GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE:

--that was promotion. GLORIA: That was, wasn't it? GEORGE: He

said, "I want you to be fruitful, and multiply,

replenish the earth, subdue it: have dominion over it." GLORIA:

Have dominion. GEORGE: Well, He was imparting that blessing to

him, and that--He was--as Brother Copeland has said

before, He wanted Adam to expand the garden of Eden all over the

world and the universe-- GLORIA: Yes, that's right. I believe

that. GEORGE: --to take it everywhere he went. That's--that

is producing fruit. He wants us to be fruit producers. He wants

us to be producing fruit. And He wants us to have the best jobs.

GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: He wants us to be leading in these

companies and these corporations that need Godly wisdom-- GLORIA:

Yes. GEORGE: --in the same way that--that Joseph led Egypt, he

led a nation with Godly wisdom. Well, he's looking for people

like us to do the same. He wants us to be promoted. And so we're

developing that mentality, that inner understanding and

revelation that it is God's will for us to be promoted. GLORIA:

That's right. GEORGE: Well, what we did, Gloria--I have before

Gloria here--she and I both have this, it's a summary of what

we've been talking about since Monday. And I just want to go

through it quickly, Gloria. And I'll start with this day one.

GLORIA: Okay. GEORGE: On the first day, on Monday, we talked

about God's will is promotion and that the Lord--one of the

ways that the Lord prospers us is through our work. It's

through our vocation, our-- GLORIA: Our calling. GEORGE:

--our calling, exactly. And in Psalm 90:17 in the GOD'S WORD

Translation, it says, "Make us successful in everything we do."

GLORIA: Praise God. What a great Scripture. GEORGE: "Make us,

Lord, successful in everything that we do." And then the

foundation Scripture for what we've been teaching on is Psalms

75:6-7. This is The Living Bible, "Promotion and power come

from nowhere on earth, but only from God." GLORIA: Isn't that a

marvelous Scripture? GEORGE: Mm-hmm, it is. It is. GLORIA:

Ooh! GEORGE: "He promotes one and he deposes another." So last

Monday-- GLORIA: And one of the versions says, "He puts down

another." GEORGE: He puts down, yeah. And a good example of

that--we read it yesterday, talking about David and Saul.

God was done with Saul. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: He had just pushed

his limit. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: And it was time for him

to go, so He removed him from that position, and He replaced

him. And He replaced him with a shepherd. He replaced him with

somebody who had a heart to fulfill the will of God. GLORIA:

Yeah, but somebody who knew Him. GEORGE: Who knew Him, yeah. Yes,

that's exactly right. GLORIA: He--David recognized God.

GEORGE: That's exactly right. And that's why we've been

praying over Mr. Trump, that he is choosing the right people in

those positions in our government. GLORIA: Amen. Yes,

that's right. GEORGE: And, you know, exciting things are

happening in our nation. And we keep praying for our nation,

keep believing for our nation. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: But I'll

tell you something, I believe that--that there are promotions.

I believe--mm, thus I say that, that there are people in the

senate and the house that need to be removed because they are

no--they are doing no good for our nation. And I believe we're

going to be seeing the time where those people are removed

and they're replaced. They're replaced by born-again,

Spirit-filled, Bible-believing-- GLORIA: Yes, people that know

God. GEORGE: --Word-of-God-standing people

who will do what God desires to be done in this nation. GLORIA:

Amen. GEORGE: So they're--we discovered last Monday that it

is God's will for you to be promoted. Now, on

Tuesday--Gloria, why don't you go through that with us, day

two. GLORIA: Okay. "Prosperity always accompanies promotion."

GEORGE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: You're not going to prosper--unless you

get promoted, you're probably not going to be in prosperity.

GEORGE: Prosperous, yeah. That's exactly right. GLORIA: "God's

will for us is to advance and receive responsibility with

raises and bonuses." And you're probably not going to be

promoted unless you do a good job. GEORGE: That's exactly

right. That's exactly right. GLORIA: Matthew 25:21 in the New

King James Version says, "You were faithful over a few things,

and I will make you ruler over many things." GEORGE: Mm-hmm.

GLORIA: Now, as I look back upon our lives, I see that that was

true. You--He lets you grow and you come up to a level. GEORGE:

Yeah, yeah. GLORIA: And if you're faithful there, you grow

and you come up to another level. And if--you keep going.

But, if you're not faithful, you stagnate. GEORGE: You stagnate,

yeah. GLORIA: If you don't do what God says or-- GEORGE: Yeah.

GLORIA: --follow His lead or spend time in His Word where you

can hear from heaven, you just stay where you are or worse--

GEORGE: Yes. GLORIA: --you get worse off. GEORGE: Yeah. Well,

you had just mentioned that, and something came to my mind that

we read--we read some of these last Tuesday. And--but we didn't

finish and these were some of the people who were promoted and

started at very small positions in a corporation. GLORIA: Huh.

GEORGE: I've got--let me read this to you. GLORIA: Okay, go

ahead. GEORGE: I've got this here. This is interesting. This

is the Xerox Corporation, and I don't know anything really about

the people themselves, but I just looked up online just

various people who started in low positions who eventually

became the leaders of the company. Well, this woman named

Anne Mulcahy started out as a field sales representative at

Xerox Corporation in 1976. She was named CEO in August of 2001

and then chairman in January of 2002. So she was

faithful--evidently, she was faithful over a few things.

GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: Well, she eventually became the chairman

of Xerox. Well, listen to this: Ursula Burns began at Xerox in

the summer of 1980 as a mechanical engineering intern.

GLORIA: Hmm. GEORGE: She became the CEO in June of 2009 and the

chairman in May of 2010. GLORIA: Wow. GEORGE: Gloria, she came in

as an intern. GLORIA: Well, what about George? What about Pastor

George? GEORGE: What about Pastor George? Pastor George--

GLORIA: Where did you start, Pastor George? GEORGE: Pastor

George came to-- GLORIA: This place. GEORGE: --Kenneth

Copeland Ministries in May of 1976. GLORIA: And your first

job? GEORGE: My first job actually was to insert a

cassette and a flyer into an envelope. It actually was the

flyer that Brother Copeland--you and Kenneth were sending out,

where the Lord spoke to him and said, "The Lord has spoken to me

and He's told me to get this uncompromised Word of faith on

every available voice--" GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: "--from the top of

the world to the bottom and all the way around." GLORIA: Yes. I

remember that. GEORGE: And that was my first job. GLORIA: And

you were faithful at it. GEORGE: And I was faithful with it. Now,

Kenneth brought me in to start the in-house art department. But

the day that I sat down with him, before I started my job, he

said, "George, now, you're also going to be traveling on the

road. Are you willing to work the book tables?" "Yes, sir. I

am willing to work the book tables." GLORIA: You were

willing. GEORGE: "Are you willing to tear down after we're

done?" "Yes, sir, I'm willing to tear down." He said that, "If a

truck backs up to the building out here and they need help

unloading it, will you help them unloading it?" And I said, "Yes,

sir." And so I did that. GLORIA: Isn't that interesting? GEORGE:

And I did that and started-- GLORIA: He who is faithful over

little will be ruler over much. GEORGE: Faithful over little.

And then from there, I was the art director. And then the

editorial director left and so you all made me the editorial

director. So I took-- GLORIA: Here's what we said-- GEORGE: It

became-- GLORIA: --over and over and over, "Let George do it."

GEORGE: "Let George do it." GLORIA: Yeah, "Let George do

it." And he did it. GEORGE: So I became the publications

director. And then this was-- GLORIA: You're moving on up.

GEORGE: I walked by a little room out there at Lake Arlington

when we were out there, and I was walking by this office. And

Doug, your brother, stepped out, pulled me in, pointed at a

little keyboard, and said, "Can you play that?" I said, "Yeah."

He said, "You're going on the road to play that." So it was a

synthesizer. It was the first synthesizer. So I did that. And

then I became the executive director in 1988-- GLORIA: Now

you're moving on up. GEORGE: --and then became the pastor in

1993. And then, in 2010, Gloria Copeland asked me to do two

weeks of broadcasts because she couldn't do them herself. And I

did two weeks of broadcast on prosperity and made the notes

available. And you called me the week after it aired and said,

"George, I have a brilliant idea. Why don't you come and do

broadcasts with me, and you can bring your notes." And so, over

260 broadcasts later-- GLORIA: It worked, too, didn't it?

GEORGE: (Laughs) It did work. It did work. GLORIA: Helped people.

That's great. GEORGE: But point being, I started out stuffing

envelopes. That was my-- GLORIA: You were faithful over little.

GEORGE: I was faithful over little. GLORIA: God made you

ruler over much. GEORGE: Over much. GLORIA: So you might

think, "Well, I don't have a very important job." It's

important. If it's your job, it's important, and you treat it

that way, and you begin to do things that you don't even have

to do, but just do what God tells you to do in that job and

be faithful. You'll get promoted. GEORGE: If I could put

anything into young people about that, that would be, "Do not

despise small beginnings." GLORIA: Yeah, small beginnings.

That's what the Word says. GEORGE: Do your best. Be

faithful at it. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: You know, when I was at

ORU, I went and I applied as an artist in their graphic

department. And, Gloria, this is interesting. They had a stack of

applications to do that. And out of all those applications, he

chose me. And I became very close with the art director.

Now, this is interesting because the Lord is always preparing

you. GLORIA: Yes, that's right. GEORGE: He's always getting you

ready for something that's coming up. What you're doing

right now is preparation for the next promotion for the next

level. GLORIA: Be faithful where you are. GEORGE: When I was

at--be faithful where you are. When I was at ORU, I had no idea

that this was what was happening. But the Lord

basically showed me the end from the beginning. Gloria, I was at

Oral Roberts University at the height of Oral Roberts

television ministry. Terri was there. I met her. She was taking

TV. And even more than the classes that I was in, the

German that I was taking or the history class that I was in, I

was observing a ministry that the Lord was going to take me

and bring me to you. He showed me the end from the beginning.

GLORIA: Mm-hmm. GEORGE: I mean, a lot of what we're doing now is

what Oral was doing back then, without the university part.

GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: But all I'm saying is that whatever

stage of life that you're at-- GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

--you are always in a state of preparation. The Lord is always

preparing you and qualifying you. GLORIA: That's right.

GEORGE: And this is a wild thing, too. Going to ORU and

being a student there and just serving however I could, I

was--I was around some phenomenal things, Gloria. I

was--I got to watch Oral Roberts up close doing his television

broadcasts and things like that. And the-- GLORIA: What a

blessing. GEORGE: --funny thing about it was I eventually became

chairman of the board at Oral Roberts University. Isn't that

amazing? GLORIA: It is. GEORGE: It's amazing.

GLORIA: See? GEORGE: It's amazing. GLORIA: Promotion.

GEORGE: Promotion. GLORIA: You know, the Bible

says, "Promotion comes from above." GEORGE: It does. GLORIA:

Do you believe that? GEORGE: Yes. It does. GLORIA: I believe

it. GEORGE: It does. GLORIA: I certainly do. GEORGE: Well, on

Wednesday, we talked about--that's day three, God's

system of promotion. "The world's system of promotion is

self-advantagement with no regard for God or others. God's

system of promotion is trusting Him--" GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE:

"--to set us where we are most valuable to the kingdom."

GLORIA: That's right. That's right. It's in His will. GEORGE:

He's going to put you--in Genesis 12:2, it says, "I--" to

Abram, "I will make you a great nation, I will bless you, and

make your name great; and you shall be a blessing." GLORIA:

Praise God. GEORGE: So in all of the promotions that we are--and,

you know something? I'll tell you, Gloria. My--I think about

this often because this is my--one of my favorite

scriptures, and this is what I tell people that work here at

Kenneth Copeland Ministries: "I am among you as one who serves."

GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: After 41 years, that is still my

scripture, "I am among you as one who serves." Number one, it

keeps--it keeps pride from setting in. Number two, it keeps

your heart right with God and others. And, number three, it

always keeps you in line for promotion. GLORIA: Praise God.

That's right. GEORGE: If you do what Jesus did, and that was to

be a servant, then you're going to continue to be promoted.

GLORIA: That's exactly right. That's good, George. That's good

insight for people. GEORGE: Tell us about day four. GLORIA: Day

four, "God sent Samuel to Jesse to locate a replacement for King

Saul." GEORGE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: I Samuel 16:7, "Man looks on the

outward, God looks on the heart." GEORGE: Yeah. That's it,

that's it. GLORIA: And then, I don't see this right here, but

it says--I think we might have already mentioned it, "Promotion

comes from above." That's where God looks. GEORGE: Yeah, Psalm

75. Yeah. GLORIA: He looks and sees what's in there. GEORGE:

That's--yeah, he's looking-- GLORIA: He sees if you're ready

for a promotion-- GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: --or if

promotion--you know, sometimes promotion damages people--

GEORGE: Promotion's not--it does. GLORIA: --if they're not

ready for it. GEORGE: That promotion's not ready for you.

That's interesting. GLORIA: I believe you're ready, George.

(Both Laugh) GEORGE: Oh, good, good. I'll take it. I'll take

it. GLORIA: "Man looks on the outward. God looks on the

heart." "I have found David--" in Acts 13:22, "I have found

David, a man after my own heart. Promotion is a result and not a

goal. Promotion is not something we seek, it's a harvest we

reap." GEORGE: There you go. There you go. GLORIA: Oh, that's

good, Lord. I like it. GEORGE: "Promotion is not something we

seek, it's a harvest we reap." What are we sowing? GLORIA: What

is it from? Being faithful, doing what you're told, being

faithful-- GEORGE: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. GLORIA: --not being a

griper or a complainer. GEORGE: Yeah, that's exactly right. Oh,

Gloria, I have to tell--how much time do I have left? Oh, what?

Oh, a minute and a half. I'll just ignore him for a moment. I

was on the road early on when I came here. And I won't tell you

who or what, but I was called to a hotel room when I was at--the

first year I was on the road with Kenneth. I was called to

one of the hotel rooms with one of our workers who was over some

things. And he said, "We're going on strike." GLORIA: Oh,

no, George. I never heard that story. GEORGE: Going on strike?

Are you kidding me? He said--he didn't like another leader that

was on the road. And so he was telling me and another guy--he

said, "We're going on strike tonight," and tonight was the

start of the meeting. And I looked at the other guy that I

was with and we just started laughing and we walked out the

door. On strike? Are you kidding me? GLORIA: I never heard that

story. GEORGE: Are you kidding? GLORIA: You'd be going on more

than strike. GEORGE: Yeah. GLORIA: You'd be gone. GEORGE:

You'd be gone. (Laughs) GLORIA: But he hadn't been around very

long, was he? GEORGE: No, he wasn't around. (Both Laugh) No.

"Promotion is not something we seek, it's a harvest that we

reap." GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: And then, Gloria, we're going to

leave it with this because this is what we're going to do next

week. GLORIA: Okay. GEORGE: We're going to talk about the

five prerequisites to promotion. GLORIA: Oh, that'll be good.

GEORGE: Next week. GLORIA: Oh, people, don't miss that. GEORGE:

And we're going to take one each day. To be promoted, you've got

to have a servant's heart, you have to walk in humility, you

must be diligent-- GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: --you must be faithful--

GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: --and you must be a person of integrity.

GLORIA: Praise God. I look forward to that.

GEORGE: So we're going to cover that all next week. And

you're going to qualify for promotion. GLORIA: Yes,

amen. Don't miss it. George and I'll be right back.

God Wants You to Prosper Through Promotion with Gloria Copeland, George Pearsons (Air Date 5-16-17) - Duration: 22:58.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Today on the Believer's Voice of

Victory, Gloria Copeland and Pastor George

Pearsons explain how prosperity and promotion

go hand in hand. Be a good steward of what God

has provided and enjoy a good life. Now here's Gloria.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. I'm Gloria Copeland, and

welcome to the Believer's Voice of Victory. Pastor

George and I are--have already had a good time this

morning talking about the Word, and we want you to be a part of

it. GEORGE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: So welcome, Pastor. GEORGE: Thank

you, Gloria. It's so--I can't tell you what a joy it is to

be-- GLORIA: I enjoy it so much. GEORGE: Well, I will tell you

what a joy it is. It's a real joy to be with you. GLORIA: It's

a real joy, and I love to hear your teaching and preaching on

the Word of God. And this is--everybody is going to be

interested in this one, prosperity and promotion.

GEORGE: That's right. That's right. GLORIA: Or should it be

promotion and prosperity? GEORGE: Promotion and

prosperity? I guess-- GLORIA: It takes both of them, doesn't it?

GEORGE: It does, doesn't it? GLORIA: Yeah. That's good.

GEORGE: Well, first of all, I--again, thank you for allowing

me to come on here and be with you. GLORIA: Goodness, I enjoy

it. GEORGE: And we are celebrating 50 years of ministry

at Kenneth Copeland Ministries. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: What

a--what a supernatural place to jump off from into the future.

And we so appreciate Kenneth and Gloria for all the years of

dedication and service-- GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: --to the

Gospel. And-- GLORIA: It's been a good 50 years. GEORGE:

--stronger than ever, they are examples to us. We were talking

about it. We were talking about Brother Copeland. Actually,

before you came out here onto the set, I was talking with the

guys about it, talking about being 80 years old and what he's

doing, and the traveling and the preaching. And-- GLORIA: He

doesn't know he's 80. GEORGE: And--no, he doesn't. And the

thing that we said was, "We have no excuse." GLORIA: Still flying

his airplane. GEORGE: We have no excuse to lay out and lay back.

GLORIA: That's right. That's right. Old age is no excuse.

GEORGE: That's right. That's right. So I wanted to let you

know, also, that all of the outlines are available to you

from this series that we're doing on promotion. You can go

to kcm.org and go to the picture of Gloria and me. Click on it

and it will take you to not only these outlines, but all of the

outlines that we've done since we started-- GLORIA: George,

you've done a wonderful work. GEORGE: --in 2010. All of the

outlines are available to you. And, Gloria, the people have

downloaded over one million outlines. These are absolutely

free. And you can take them and study them, read them, share

them with your family. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: And it is so

exciting to be able--you know, obviously, people are interested

in prosperity. GLORIA: Let's ask for some testimonies-- GEORGE:

Okay. GLORIA: --things that have changed since you've been

learning about prosperity and releasing your faith.

Prosperity--or testimonies encourage other people. GEORGE:

They do. They do. GLORIA: And we'll be--we'll read some of

them and share them. I don't want to read them myself--

GEORGE: Yeah. Okay, well, we're going to do that. GLORIA:

--because I know what the Word will do for you. GEORGE: We will

get--we will get testimonies per Gloria Copeland. GLORIA: Okay,

okay. GEORGE: I've been obeying this voice for a lot of years. I

know how to do it. GLORIA: Well, this has been so good. GEORGE:

Well, Gloria, we're talking about something that the Lord

really put into my heart for all of our partners and friends that

are watching. And that is, it is the will of God for you to be

promoted-- GLORIA: Yeah, it is. GEORGE: --to be advanced. God

wants to exalt you and lift you up. He wants His kids in the

best position, receiving the best jobs. GLORIA: Don't you

want your children in the best position? GEORGE: I sure do. I

sure--I want them to prosper. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: I want them

to be able to have favor and be in outstanding positions. And I

see what God does. I've been watching what the Lord has done

in my own family and with my own children. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE:

I see what's happening with Jeremy and Sarah and how the

Lord has promoted them. And now they have their own television

broadcast on the BVOVN Network-- GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: --and

speaking all over the place and with--and with Aubrey and Cody

and how the Lord has promoted them and lifted them. And, you

know, Cody is working for Hobby Lobby and he flies them all over

the world. GLORIA: Think about it. GEORGE: And Cody has always

dreamed about flying. You know, Billye has talked at this very

table about Cody-- GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. GEORGE: --and how he's

always-- GLORIA: That he wants, when he grows up--no, when he

goes up. GEORGE: When he goes up. GLORIA: He said, "I want to

go up like an airplane"--(Both Laugh)--when he was a little

boy. Isn't that funny? GEORGE: He has--but Cody has always been

diligent and faithful-- GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE: --and is a student

of the Word. And he's a serious pilot. He is a--if I may say, a

Kenneth Copeland pilot. GLORIA: He is. GEORGE: He is very, very

deliberate and succinct about everything he does. But, Gloria,

that has opened the door for promotion for Him. GLORIA: I

know. I know. GEORGE: And he's flying in Hobby Lobby's

airplanes. GLORIA: Praise God. Fine airplanes. GEORGE: They've

got some fine airplanes. GLORIA: They have a fine airplane.

GEORGE: Well, that's available-- GLORIA: Well, what--I forgot the

end of what he said. He said, "I want to go up like I want to go

up like an airplane if I can keep my legs together." GEORGE:

My legs together. (Both Laugh) GLORIA: Isn't that funny?

GEORGE: It is the will of God for you to be promoted. GLORIA:

Yes. GEORGE: It is the will of God for you to have the best

jobs, the best paying jobs, for you to be promoted in positions

because promotion--promotion really is a manifestation of

prosperity. It is. GLORIA: Yeah. It's just automatic, almost.

GEORGE: It really is. Well, you said it, it is automatic.

Wherever--wherever you see someone--and we will get into

this even more in depth next week. But whenever you see

someone who is diligent, who has a servant's heart, you see

somebody who is faithful, thorough, prompt. They are

punctual. GLORIA: Positive. GEORGE: They're positive. They

have integrity. Whenever you see people like that, you see people

who qualify for promotion. GLORIA: That's right. That's

right. GEORGE: And don't ever underestimate a--what we might

think of as a low position in a job. Don't underestimate it. It

is an opportunity. If you're working right now in a position

where you think that it's the lowest of the lowest, you need

to change your thinking about that position. GLORIA: That's

right. GEORGE: You need to see that position-- GLORIA: If you

think it's not important, think again. It's your job. GEORGE:

That's right. That's right. And it is important. GLORIA: Yes.

GEORGE: And it--for many, it's a testing ground. It's a testing

ground to see how you do. GLORIA: That's true. GEORGE: How

will you do at this job? Will you qualify for promotion? God

is looking for people to promote. GLORIA: That's right.

And so are executives and people in business-- GEORGE: That's

right. That's exactly right. GLORIA: --looking for people

that can be trusted and that have the interest of the

business at heart. And they do their job and they do it gladly.

GEORGE: Come on. Yep, yep. GLORIA: That's the kind of

people that get promoted. GEORGE: Yeah, they're the--those

are the people that they're looking for. And I see--I see

people in our church, teenagers. And I've been observing them for

years as Terri and I have pastored in the church. And I've

watched these teenagers. And I can tell--I can tell the ones

that are going to go somewhere. GLORIA: By their attitude.

GEORGE: By their attitude. GLORIA: What they say and do.

GEORGE: By their servant's heart. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: By

their maturity. There are some teenagers that just have a

maturity about them and they already have their eyes set.

GLORIA: Mm-hmm. That's right. GEORGE: There is one individual

right now that I have known him since he was a kid. And--but

he's always--he's always been on the front row. He's always taken

notes. I've watched him for years, Gloria, and I've seen

him, and I've watched him graduate from high school. And

he's the--he's the teenager that comes in with a suit on and the

tie. GLORIA: Uh-huh, yeah. GEORGE: He's following Pastor

George. And he's the one that is conscientious. And he's the one

that was helping ushering. And he was the one that was there. I

mean, I watched him usher as he got older. Well, then he went

into the military. And now he's being promoted from rank to rank

to rank. GLORIA: Praise God. He was well prepared, wasn't he?

GEORGE: And he's been involved in some pretty special

operations. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: He's been promoted.

GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: But that's what it takes. And God does it.

GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: And God is the source of your

promotion. If you think you are stuck, think twice. God is your

promoter. He is your source of promotion and he's going--

GLORIA: Promotion belongs to the Lord. Doesn't it say that?

GEORGE: It does. Well, that's our Scripture. That's our

foundation Scripture. GLORIA: There you have it. GEORGE: We

might as well head right into it now. Psalm 75:5, "Lift not up

your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion

comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the

south. But God is the judge: he puts down one, and he sets up

another." GLORIA: Wow. GEORGE: Now, the Living Bible,

"Promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from

God." GLORIA: That's good. GEORGE: "He promotes one and he

deposes another." GLORIA: That's the way it is. GEORGE: I just

read something here. The beginning of that Scripture, in

Verse 5, "Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff

neck." Gloria, we've all dealt with people throughout our

lives--and you have, too--and we've known the ones that have

been blowhards. We've known the ones that-- GLORIA: We know a

certain amount of those. GEORGE: --they speak a big talk. "Look

at me. Look at what I can do." But then there are others that

are quietly working behind the scenes, the ones that are

diligent, the ones that don't toot their own horn about

themselves, but they let their work speak for themselves. And

that's what God's looking for. GLORIA: That's right. They can

be trusted. GEORGE: They can be trusted. That's--that's so

important. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: They're faithful. They

can be trusted. To be promoted, or the word, "promotion," there

in the Hebrew means to lift up, to raise up, to elevate and to

exalt. And "promotion" in the dictionary, it is the act of

being raised up in position or rank, to ascend to advance and

to upgrade. GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: I was just thinking

about this as I was saying that, Gloria. I am so thankful that

I'm not still in kindergarten. GLORIA: I am, too, George.

That'd be a real problem. GEORGE: I enjoyed it while I was

there, but then came the day when I moved on up and I moved

up to first grade. And I went through the first grade and then

I graduated the second, third. I'm grateful that I'm still not

in high school. I had a good time in high school. I was--I

was focused on my artwork back then and I was looking forward

to being in art school because I had a graphic design background

and a hunger for that. I'm glad I'm out of art school. GLORIA: I

am, too. GEORGE: Well, there are--there are so many people

that are ready for that next move. GLORIA: That's right.

GEORGE: And sometimes we give up. We get weary in well doing--

GLORIA: That's true. Yeah. GEORGE: --when fate and not--not

believe God. But I'm telling you, your promotion is right

around the corner. Don't give up. GLORIA: That's right.

GEORGE: Don't give up. It is the will of God for us to experience

continual promotion through our entire lives. GLORIA: And if you

are believing God, it is working. You might not can see

it. GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: But it is working.

GEORGE: Yeah, it's working if you're working. (Laughs) GLORIA:

And if you'll stay with it, you'll come to the fullness of

it. GEORGE: Well, I use Kenneth--I use you and Kenneth

as an example because here you are 50 years in ministry. The

two of you made a decision to be doers of the Word. GLORIA:

Right. GEORGE: When you took that Word of God that you heard,

that Brother Hagin spoke and, really, watching Brother

Roberts-- GLORIA: Mm-hmm. GEORGE: You took that Word very

seriously and you made a decision. You and Kenneth made a

decision that whatever the Word of God says-- GLORIA: That's

what we did. GEORGE: --we will adapt that to our lifestyle.

GLORIA: We'll do it. Mm-hmm. GEORGE: And that's when you

found out that the Word of God says, "Stay out of debt," in

Romans-- GLORIA: That's right. It was a low blow. GEORGE: It

was a low blow. (Both Laugh) GLORIA: Also, we didn't know

very much. GEORGE: Well, the--you found out that the

Amplified translation says, "Keep out of debt." GLORIA:

Yeah, that didn't help any. GEORGE: But you did it

nonetheless. You did it. GLORIA: We did it. We had to. It's in

the Word. GEORGE: You were obedient to it. You were serious

students of the Word of God. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

And, Gloria, I watch--I've been--I took on a project, a

most unusual project here at the ministry. And you and I--you

know what this project is. I'd been thinking to myself for

years, "We need an archive. We need to get all these pictures

together from all over the ministry and put them into one

place." And I kept thinking about that, but you know we all

get busy. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: Who has time for an archive?

Well, the Lord said, "You do." (Laughs) I said, "Okay." And so

I have--I've spearheaded pulling together all of these pictures

and we--John Copeland, who's the CEO, he gave me a room, gave us

a room to put it all in. And, Gloria, I go in there--and I

took Gloria in there one time after we were taping one day and

we spent no less than an hour and a half. GLORIA: It was

amazing. GEORGE: It was an hour and a half looking at all of

that. GLORIA: I may go back and look again. GEORGE: And I

look--Gloria, I look at those pictures and I look at the

beginning years of this ministry. And I love to watch

biographies. Especially if they end up well, you know? GLORIA:

Yeah. GEORGE: But I look at you and Kenneth and I see how the

two of you have been steady through all these years. GLORIA:

Praise God. GEORGE: And you have been servants. You've been

servants to the Body of Christ. I watched you serve Brother

Hagin. I watched you serve Brother Roberts, of course,

Kenneth sitting on the board at ORU. And I've watched the two of

you through all of these years, you have been so faithful in

what you've done. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: And now, look, you

start where you started and where you are now. And I think

about the car that you first had when you were married, that '55

Chevy. GLORIA: Yeah, a stunning car. GEORGE: And we're going to

show a picture here. GLORIA: Oh, good. GEORGE: We're going to

show a picture. GLORIA: Everybody's going to want one,

but they aren't available. (Laughs) GEORGE: I'm sure it

would be worth something, though, today. It's a classic

car, but-- GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. GEORGE: But back then--and

there's a picture of it. And we put a picture alongside with the

Citation X. GLORIA: Ooh. GEORGE: You have come a long way in your

ability to travel. GLORIA: That's exactly right. Isn't that

amazing? We were glad to get that Chevrolet, though, that

old-- GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: Wasn't it '54 or

something? GEORGE: It's '55, I believe it was. '55? GLORIA: It

was old when we got it. GEORGE: '55. It was old when you got it.

And that was-- GLORIA: It had been broken in so to speak.

GEORGE: Broken in. GLORIA: But you know it got us where we

needed to go for a while. GEORGE: But you all took care of

it. You--see, people do not--they don't connect the

dots. GLORIA: We were grateful for it. GEORGE: They don't

connect the dots where, "Well, that's--" You were grateful for

it, see? They don't connect the dots with our attitude, the way

we act in our promotion and receiving things. And I've heard

Brother Copeland talk about this. What do you do--how do you

treat the rent car? When you go into a city, how do you treat

that rent car? GLORIA: Somebody else's property. GEORGE:

Somebody else's property. And I have remembered that ever since.

Whenever we rent a car, if we go into someplace and we're renting

a car, that becomes my car. I put the best gas in that car. I

wash that car. GLORIA: Amen. GEORGE: I keep it clean on the

inside. GLORIA: You're a good steward. GEORGE: So you become a

good steward of what God has given you. You and Kenneth have

become good stewards-- GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: --of the

ministry that God has given to you. And you have never--you

have never gone before the people and tried to get from

them; you have always tried to get to them. GLORIA: Praise God.

GEORGE: You think about this. I'm preaching to you here a

little bit. GLORIA: Okay, go ahead Pastor. GEORGE: You think

about this, Gloria. GLORIA: That's what pastors do. GEORGE:

You think about the decision that Brother Copeland made last

year about all of the product on television going out there free

as a seed. And you think about the heart that you all have to

get that out there. He could have heard that Word from the

Lord, and he could have said, "No, it would be better if we

sell it because we could have the money." Well, first of all,

he doesn't do that. First of all, he's obedient to what the

Lord says. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: Second, the Lord put

that down into his heart to sow that, to sow that as a seed, to

receive harvest from. But that particular act that he did right

there was obedience to God because there's something, that

God wants this ministry to be promoted to the next step in.

GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: So what I'm saying is that--the

same thing that you see with Kenneth and Gloria, you can do

the very same as well. You may not have a ministry like you

have right now--they have right now. But I'm telling you, if you

are faithful, and if you are diligent in what you're--

GLORIA: Do what you're told. That's the key. GEORGE: Will do

what you're told. GLORIA: Whatever it is. GEORGE: Whatever

that might be. Joseph is a perfect example of someone who

was promoted. Joseph, even though he worked for Potiphar

and then his wife accused him of some things, and then Potiphar

put him in prison, while he was in prison, he was faithful. He

was diligent. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: And I believe that we're

speaking to those that are in prison right now. GLORIA: Praise

God. GEORGE: You be faithful. You be diligent, and God will

promote you right out of that place. He will put you in

position-- GLORIA: Raise you up. GEORGE: --to experience a

manifested prosperity from God. GLORIA: What does the Scripture

say? He helped me get it. "He that is faithful over little

will be ruler over much." GEORGE: Ruler over much. GLORIA:

So if you--you may be thinking, "Well, you know, I don't have

anything." You've got something or you'd be out on the street.

GEORGE: That's right. That's right. GLORIA: So you be

thinking about, "What I do have, I'm going to be faithful over--"

GEORGE: Yep. GLORIA: "--and the Lord will increase me and bless

me." GEORGE: That's right. That's exactly right. GLORIA: If

you've got--"I've only got $10." Well, you're going to tithe one

of them to the Lord. GEORGE: That's it. GLORIA: See, that's

being faithful. GEORGE: That's right. GLORIA: And that's how He

can trust us to increase. GEORGE: Exactly, exactly.

GLORIA: If we--if you're not--what does it say? If you're

not faithful over little, you won't be faithful over much.

GEORGE: Ruler over much. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE: There's a--there's

a Scripture, and we'll just touch this lightly here in point

B. Prosperity always accompanies promotion. GLORIA: Yes. GEORGE:

Now, this--and we'll go through this very quickly, but in Luke

19:16-17, talking about the parable of the talents, "The

first servant reported, 'Master, I invested your money and made

ten times the original amount!' 'Well done!' the king exclaimed.

'You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the

little I entrusted to you, so I will--so you will be governor of

ten cities as your reward.'" So I expect that this individual

probably got a raise-- GLORIA: No telling what happened.

GEORGE: --and probably got a bonus. GLORIA: Yeah. GEORGE:

Whenever there is promotion, you will be exalted financially.

It'll happen. GLORIA: That's true. GEORGE: It will take

place. It is the will of God for all of us to receive major

bonuses and generous bonuses-- GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

--major raises and generous bonuses as a result of being

promoted. And, Gloria, I've been saving-- GLORIA: And-- GEORGE:

Yes. GLORIA: --there's always money from unexpected sources.

GEORGE: Unexpected sources. That's right. GLORIA: That's the

blessing. GEORGE: Listen to this, though. I thought about

you when I found this. GLORIA: What? GEORGE: This number 5 at

the bottom, "In the Greek, the word, 'promotion,' means exalt.

And the word, 'exalt,' means to raise to the very summit of

opulence and prosperity." GLORIA: Oh, I like that. GEORGE:

That's what promotion is. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE:

Promotion is to raise us up to the very summit of opulence and

prosperity. GLORIA: Lacking nothing. GEORGE: Now, look at

your second page there, Gloria. And I did a little study--

GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: --about this. You just quoted

the Scripture that I wanted to use here, and that's Matthew

25:21. It says, "You were faithful over a few things, I

will make you ruler over many things." And I just had the

unction to go online and check on CEOs and where they started.

GLORIA: Oh, that's interesting. GEORGE: Where they began.

GLORIA: Yes, okay. GEORGE: So let's take a look at a couple of

these. Jim Skinner started with McDonald's in 1971 as a

restaurant manager trainee. He became CEO in November of 2004.

GLORIA: (Laughs) GEORGE: I get chills thinking about that.

GLORIA: I do, too, George. GEORGE: Thinking about where

that--think about--do not despise small beginnings.

GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE: Do not despise small beginnings.

You are--no matter where you are and what you're doing, you are

in line for a major promotion. GLORIA: That's right. GEORGE:

And it may take a few years to get there. Gloria-- GLORIA: If

you obey the Word and do what God says. GEORGE: If you obey

the Word. In 1975, I went to Oral Roberts University. I got

there, and I went there to study music. I was going to study

music. And--they gave me the one-minute sign here. GLORIA:

Oh, no. GEORGE: I'd like to buy back some time if I may. Anyway,

the Lord--here's--the long and short of it was, the Lord spoke

to me that first day, said, "Change your major. You're

called to pastor." That was 1975. GLORIA: First day. GEORGE:

But it--the first day. But it wasn't until 1993 that I began

pastoring Eagle Mountain International Church. What

happened between 1975 and 1993, I was being trained for that

position. GLORIA: Praise God. That's right. GEORGE: I was

being trained up for it. Everything you guys were

teaching me, you were preparing me to take the office of the

pastor. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: Here, we've got like--

GLORIA: Okay, go. GEORGE: --just a couple of moments left. Brian

Dunn started with Best Buy in 1985 as a sales associate when

they were only 12 stores operating. He was name director

and CEO in 2009. Jack Welsh came to General Electric as a junior

engineer in 1960. He was named CEO of the company in 1981. And

I'll do--let me do one more here. Anne Mulcahy started out

as the field sales representative at Xerox

Corporation in 1976. She was named CEO-- GLORIA: Praise God.

GEORGE: --in August 2001, and then chairman in January of

2002. GLORIA: Praise God. GEORGE: I mean, we can go on and

on with this, but you get the point. GLORIA: That's so

interesting, isn't it? GEORGE: It is. GLORIA: That's the way it

is. GEORGE: That's where it starts. GLORIA: So don't despise

where you are, just keep moving in the will of God, and the will

of God will promote you. Glory to God. GEORGE: Well said.

GLORIA: Well said. Hallelujah. George and I'll be right back.
