Hi everybody it's Thespina!
I work in retail which means
I have to deal with stupid customers
and this is my top list of annoying customers
Number 1: Serial Returners
If you've returned more than 3 items in a 3 month period
or you've returned every single item you've purchased from a store... I hate you.
If you're buying something make the decision on the spot
If you're not convinced, go home and think about it.
Don't buy it because you're bored and have nothing better to do
"Excuse me its brand new. It's in the box so I would like a refund"
You see this tsoureki, my family didn't eat it at Easter
so I want a refund, it's still in the package.
It's still got the egg in it and everything. I haven't even opened it.
Number 2: Time Wasters
These are the people that come in the store and make it sound like they're going to buy something
so you end up spending heaps of time with them
in fact you might even spend over an hour with them
only to find out that they'll "think about it"
If you're bored browse, look at the stuff
but there is no need to take up a shop assistant's time
we've got a long list of things to do
other customers we should be serving. If you're not going to buy
Don't waste our time.
Number 3: The wear and tear returners
After using an item everyday for 6 months
bring the item back and complain it's faulty
If you've used the item more than 3 times and it's been over a month since you purchased it
It's not faulty...it's wear and tear.
Number 4: The over entitled customer
This one gets on my nerves like anything.
This is the customer that thinks that just because she's been shopping at your store for over 10 years
she is entitled to anything and everything
This could be something as small as a discount or a return of a product she bought 2 years ago
without a receipt or proof of purchase
If you don't have a receipt and you don't have a proof of purchase
I can't do anything
Okay yes, you might be purchasing items for 10 years
I dont care.
"Unless you give me a discount you will be losing my loyal service. I just want a discount!"
"just give me 10% off"
I get it you've been loyal to us for 10 years and blah blah blah...
That doesn't mean that I can bend the rules for you.
I'm going to lose my job if I give you an extra discount!
"I know they're $5 it doesn't matter I want 10% off!!!!"
Number 5: The investigator
This is the customer that will ask you a question
and then ask you the same question another 3 times followed by... "are you sure?"
YES I'M SURE THE PRODUCT IS OUT OF STOCK
AND I AM SURE THAT I HAVE CHECKED THE OTHER STORES
AND I'M SURE THERE'S NONE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE ELSE
LIKE IN THE WORLD
"Are you sure?"
Stop wasting my time and get out of here
If I tell you once listen carefully
because there is no way that you're getting the answer that you want!
it's not available...get it through your head
what do you want me to do? Pull one out of a magic hat?
no I don't own a magic hat... that would be pretty cool if I did!
So they are my top 5 most annoying customers
