Saint vs Sinner - Duration: 2:38.
There's a war,
there's a battle raging inside of you.
And it's been warring,
it's been feuding,
it's been going on since the Holy Spirit brought you to faith.
Because inside of you is both saint and sinner.
Inside of you is a believer that, that loves Jesus
and wants to serve Jesus and follow his Word and his will.
But there's a weakness inside of it,
the sinful flesh inside of you.
And there's a war, a battle that's going on.
Which one's going to win?
You know who understands exactly how you're feeling
and the frustration that you have inside of you?
Of not following through in your faith as you want?
Paul.
Paul in the Bible was God's hand-chosen person to tell other people about him.
Jesus, after he rose to life, after he ascended into heaven,
he comes back,
handpicks Paul to tell people about Christ.
And yet, Paul struggled.
He had that war, that battle that's going within.
Read Romans chapter 7 and inside of that you're going to hear Paul
struggle against a sinful flesh. He says this in verse 18,
That war, that battle, is raging inside of him,
inside of you.
Who is going to win, good or evil?
Well, let me answer that with an analogy.
Let's say there's two street dogs
and they end up getting in a fight with one another.
Which one's going to win?
You don't know.
There's not enough information.
But let's say one of those dogs is a fighting dog.
He discovered a dumpster beside a restaurant.
He's been eating out of it for years.
He's been defending it.
He knows how to fight.
He's strong.
On the other side you got a very weak dog.
It's barely eaten anything in several weeks.
And they get together in a fight.
Which one's gonna win?
Pretty obvious. The one who's fed the most.
Inside of you is this battle, this war that is waging.
Which side is going to win?
Well, it's the side that you feed the most.
And if you feed the sinful desires of this world and in your life,
that side of you, that unfaithfulness, will grow
and your faithfulness and faith will shrink.
But if you feed your soul in Jesus,
in his mercy,
his forgiveness,
he forgives you of your wrongs,
and grows that faith and faithfulness.
There's a battle, a war, raging inside of you.
Which one's going to win?
The one you feed the most.
Feed your soul.
Feed your soul with the mercy of Jesus in God's Word.
Be fed in Christ.
God always wins.
