Waching daily Jul 25 2017

In an interview with The Washington Post, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer dropped

a brutal truth about why Hillary Clinton lost the election — and it had nothing to do

with the Russians or James Comey.

Instead, he said it was time for the party to look inward as to why it lost — a not

entirely subtle jab at Clinton and her associates playing the blame game regarding President

Trump's victory last November.

"When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don't blame other things

— Comey, Russia — you blame yourself," the New York senator said in The Washington

Post piece, published Sunday.

"So what did we do wrong?

People didn't know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump.

And still believe that."

Well, this is probably because it's true.

However, we can't fault him for not getting the whole picture.

Given that he's a Democrat, we're surprised that he even got a little bit of it.

Schumer's remarks were part of the new Democrat roll-out of their strategy, described by Schumer

as ""(a) strong, sharp-edged, populist, bold economic message appeals to the Obama

coalition and the people who voted for Trump — former Democrats who voted for Trump."

The plan is best encapsulated by their new slogan: "A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better

Wages, Better Future."

Not by the slogan itself, mind you, but by the fact that it's ripped off from Papa

John's (and by the fact they apparently thought nobody would notice).

Of the new focus, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said it "is not a course correction,

but it's a presentation correction."

This is yet more proof that they still don't get it.

They didn't just lose because they presented their ideas badly, but instead that they had

bad ideas.

At least they're finally coming to the realization that Donald Trump isn't president because

of James Comey or the Russians, but instead because they screwed up.

There's no doubt what Schumer said is going to infuriate the left — including and especially

Hillary Clinton.

However, it's a truth more and more Democrats are going to have to come to grips with.

What are your thoughts on what Schumer had to say?

CANADIAN STUDY GIVES MORE EVIDENCE CANCER IS A LIFESTYLE DISEASE LARGELY CAUSED BY FOOD - Duration: 4:25.

CANADIAN STUDY GIVES MORE EVIDENCE CANCER IS A LIFESTYLE DISEASE LARGELY CAUSED BY FOOD

BY Alex Pietrowski, Waking Times

Shockingly, worldwide cancer rates are predicted to rise even further, and that by the year

2020, 1-in-2 women and 1-in-3 men will be diagnosed with some form of cancer.

It is so common already, in fact, that it getting cancer is more common than getting

married or having a first baby.

The cancer industrial complex is negligent in warning people that chemotherapy is now

known to actually make some cancers spread and make some tumors more aggressive.

Government and its myriad regulatory agencies work diligently to prevent access to natural

or alternative cancer treatments, and doctors and the mainstream media give the impression

that the causes of cancer are a mystery.

In reality, one can significantly reduce the likelihood of getting cancer by making lifestyle

changes, and according to a recently published study out of Canada found that the total proportion

of cancer rates which can be attributed to lifestyle and environmental factors is quite

high, nearing 41%.

Regarding the methods used in the study:

We estimated summary population attributable risk estimates for 24 risk factors (smoking

[both passive and active], overweight and obesity, inadequate physical activity, diet

[inadequate fruit and vegetable consumption, inadequate fibre intake, excess red and processed

meat consumption, salt consumption, inadequate calcium and vitamin D intake], alcohol, hormones

[oral contraceptives and hormone therapy], infections [Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis

B and C viruses, human papillomavirus, Helicobacter pylori], air pollution, natural and artificial

ultraviolet radiation, radon and water disinfection by-products) by combining population attributable

risk estimates for each of the 24 factors that had been previously estimated.

[Source]

The list above essentially outlines the wide range of personal choices we know can increase

the risk of cancer, mainly pointing out that food causes cancer.

Along with exercise, and common avoidable environmental factors, cancer is somewhat

preventable.

Overall, we estimated that 40.8% of incident cancer cases were attributable to exposure

to the 24 factors included in the analysis (Table 2).

Tobacco smoking was responsible for the greatest cancer burden, accounting for an estimated

15.7% of all incident cancer cases (2485 cases), followed by physical inactivity and excess

body weight, which were responsible for an estimated 7.2% and 4.3% of incident cancer

cases, respectively.

All other exposures of interest were estimated to be responsible for less than 4.0% of incident

cancer cases each.

Within this information is the revelation that so much of our food system works against

good health.

Perhaps the greatest secret here in all of this is the growing awareness of the negative

affects that consumption of sugar has on human health.

Now, some 80% of all packaged products contain some form of fructose, and sugar has been

identified as a top cause of the global cancer epidemic.

Final Thoughts

In the face of such frightening statistical evidence on rising cancer rates, it is imperative

to remember that the individual has more control over their health than the mainstream would

have us believe.

SO MUCH PAINT! ⎮ ASL Stew Life - Duration: 10:10.

(cat meow... ♪upbeat music♪)

[JI] Hello, happy weekend.

Gonna go ahead and vlog maybe on the weekends.

Maybe not every weekend,

but we'll try most weekends.

Just kind of see how it goes, but...

today is Saturday and we need to mow the lawn.

Hopefully start painting the nursery

because of this box. It's driving me crazy!

Right there. All of the box! UGH!

Ugh, I want it out now!

Yay, lawn is mowed!

But it was really weird.

So I did the weed wacking and I got that done.

Jenna got done pretty much and then

I had to go... close, well open the fence for her.

But as I walked outside, I smelled poop.

Like a long time ago, well in my parents area

they have a pig farm close by.

So sometimes you would smell the manure.

It kind of made me think back to that.

It was really weird because it was almost like a nice memory?

I don't know if that's happened to you guys.

Where you smell something that's bad, but it gives you a good memory?

Has that happened to you? I curious what it is.

Let me know in the comments below.

[JI] What are you doing?

What are you doing?

What are you doing??

What are you doing?!

What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing?!?!

[JE] I'm gonna clean up. Get everything out, then paint.

[JI] This has gotta get out.

Say, bye bye! Bye, bye brown wall.

Bye, bye green screen. Bye, bye.... bye!

(♪upbeat music♪)

So right now it's a mess in here because

we're kind of throwing everything in from the nursery

which we'll deal with eventually.

But, any time we have a mattress or a box spring or whatever

Falkor must get on it!

(♪upbeat music♪)

[JI] Really?!

[JI] So the door has gotta go.

Say bye bye!

So, I'm gonna show you what it looks like before...

well, almost everything is out.

But right now we still have the dresser in here which

we're gonna keep it inside just put things on in the middle of the room.

[JI] 1, 2, and 3.

[JE] Yep, always.

I gotta kick em out after I tape.

[JI] So, gotta do all of that. Door's gotta go.

We have to tape that and that and that's it!

(♪upbeat music♪)

[JE] We'll see.

(♪upbeat music♪)

[JI] So I am going to check the paint.

Sorry I have this mask on, but I gotta do it.

Let me see.

(♪chill electronic music♪)

Wow, so much is already done!

I mean it's half way done, pretty much.

So just got to cover this and this and.... this.

Maybe inside the closet there.

All up in here.

But it looks really good so far.

But it's just strange having the white there but it's cool!

Dinner time!

We're gonna go ahead eat and then head out to the baseball game.

It's really nice because you can eat dinner here and it's nice free parking.

That's the best one. [JE] Cause I'm smart!

[JI] Sometimes

[JE] Watching some baseball.

(♪chill electronic music♪)

[JI] What's wrong?

It's music and it's so boring! Country music, ugh!

[JI] Boring!

(♪chill electronic music♪)

[JI] Good morning. It's Sunday woohoo!

Really, there's not much going on today because it's suppose to rain today.

So probably just stay inside. Do some editing, filming, painting, whatever else.

Might go out. Have to go grocery shopping.

But I made my lunch and "healthy".

Uh, one more thing.

I'm not really in love with super spicy things,

but not bad. I like a little bit.

I don't know what else to add to this though. It's so plain.

What do you guys like on your grilled cheese sandwich? Let me know!

I'm curious, maybe I can try something new.

But remember I'm pregnant, so pregnancy safe OK.

So I'm gonna look around and see if I can add anything.

Jenna is just chilling out because it's still 11:30

and it's still "early" for the weekend.

So she's just chilling out for now, but I'll show you more later.

(♪chill electronic music♪)

So right now, primer round two.

I'm gonna eat my lunch and she's going to paint.

Not that, not yet.

That!

Take the roller and go woo, woo,

chicka, chicka, chicka, doop, doop, doop, doop, doop.

Bye bye green screen!

Oh my goodness I have a pineapple...

well that's my sign for pineapple.

I know there's pineapple, pineapple, pineapple, whatever!

I have some. Oh it's so good!

Yep, good!

(♪chill electronic music♪)

YouTube or Film School? by Dave McCary (Director of BRIGSBY BEAR) - Duration: 5:21.

Film Courage: Dave, I understand that you dropped out of film school?

Dave McCary: I did.

Film Courage: [You were there for] 2 years?

Dave McCary: Yes.

Film Courage: I'm curious what classes you would have preferred them to teach you?

Dave McCary: Uggh.

[Sighs] Film Courage: [Laughs] Sorry to bring this up!

Dave McCary: No…it's fine.

I would just never do it.

It's not like I wanted to learn in that way.

I just wanted to make videos and learn by myself.

Knowing now and around that time that Youtube was just starting to become a thing and you

could find a tutorial on anything if you were troubleshooting something or didn't know

how to work a specific editing function or lighting issue.

I just wanted to teach myself when I hit a roadblock.

I just knew how easy it was to find the answer on the Internet.

And also not go into debt.

I was very fortunate to have my best friend who was at USC and making all of these wonderful

friends in film and television and music and I ended up just kind of mooching off of his

experience really.

I dropped out of school and I would hang out with these dudes and start making videos with

them because they were so talented and funny.

It was just natural, like I don't need to spend money on school when I can just do it

myself and have pretty much everything I need with a camera and some funny friends.

Film Courage: This was for the Good Neighbor Youtube Channel?

Dave McCary: Yes, that's Good Neighbor.

We started Good Neighbor in like 2006?

Right around the time that Kyle graduated college.

And I was doing freelance editing.

You learn so much more from just having a job or PA-ing or assistant editing.

Film is a very specific world in which I don't think you really need to go to film school.

That being said, some film schools like USC which is so great at developing the community

and really the relationships that end up being the thing that truly becomes the reason you

spent all that money.

But all of the gear and the history of film and the lessons, you can learn about how to

direct a scene or whatever.

All of that stuff is in books and on the Internet and on directors and actors giving talks.

And it's just my opinion that I don't think film school is necessary for filmmakers.

But I don't want to discourage someone who really wants to learn that way.

Film Courage: Sure.

Did you realize that the film BRIGSBY BEAR was going to be such an inspiration for fan-obsessed

filmmakers?

Dave McCary: No…

Film Courage: Because it's an incredible story in itself, probably one of the best

movies I've seen so far.

Dave McCary: Oh my Gosh.

Thank you!

Film Courage: And it caters to people who are just obsessed with movies.

Dave McCary: Well we definitely felt that it was a love letter to storytelling and filmmaking

in the movie-going experience.

But you never want to make something with the expectation of it having that type of

reception.

I think that's just unhealthy to hope for that or expect that.

We were just trying to have fun and make something that we liked and that maybe our friends liked

but we weren't trying to build any type of obsession.

It's always nice to hear that people are inspired by it but I was never thinking "I'm

going to make a film that everyone's inspired by," which it's definitely not everyone,

but it's very nice to hear that it gives people that energy of "Oh..I'm excited

to go make a video after watching this movie."

That's a cool feeling.

Film Courage: So similar to making Youtube videos because you never know when the audience

is going to relate to one of your comedy skits versus not (it's hit or miss)?

Dave McCary: Yeah.

Again with every Internet video we made (even our Saturday Night Live sketches), we're

trying to be the best we can at not catering to any audiences and just trying to make each

other laugh or each other feel or whatever it is.

But the repetition of all those videos that we've made (the hundreds over the years)

was so instrumental going into making this film.

And this film really is…it mirrors both Kyle and my experience as both best friends

who fell in love with filmmaking together and the movie has a lot to do about collaborating

with a best friend and following them up with telling stories so it's a very meta experience

and it's super special.

AMAZING UFO VIDEO EVER BY ISS - Duration: 2:54.

AMAZING UFO VIDEO EVER BY ISS

Oh NASA!

Thanks to the onboard cameras at the International Space Station, UFO hunters have--apparently--spotted

hundreds of unidentified flying objects near the space station, and even entering and leaving

our planet.

NASA rarely comments on the alleged videos which have become more and more popular in

recent years.

There are things out there that no one can explain.

One such example is the video we share here.

UFO hunters spotted an unidentified flying object captured on video by NASAs space

cameras.

In the 'otherworldly' video footage, a strange objectwith a peculiar disk-shaped designseems

to be leaving Earths atmosphere.

So what was it?

Is it an actual Alien vehicle?

Is it just Space Debris?

Perhaps an optical Illusion, or just the good ol' Swamp Gas?

Many users are convinced that this video is the ultimate evidence Earth is visited by

Alien beings while others remain skeptical and still, unconvinced, saying that it's just

a reflection or ice particles near the ISS floating away.

But, come on guys, surely Ice Particles don't float off like that, do they?

And while we debate whether or not this is an actual alien vehicle spotted by NASA cameras,

many scientists, former Astronauts, and military officials are convinced, even without seeing

this video, that our planet has been visited by beings not from Earth for centuries.

This is just one example: Intelligent beings from other star systems have been and are

visiting our planet Earth.

They are variously referred to as Visitors, Others, Star People, Ets, etcThey are

visiting Earth now; this is not a matter of conjecture or wistful thinking. Theodor

C. Loder III, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Earth Sciences, University of New Hampshire.

BOOK MONSTER CHALLENGE| BookTubeAThon day 1 - Duration: 3:12.

It is currently 7:18 am

and this is the only time I have to film a challenge

and I'm being very quiet because... uh... ya

I have to go to school

and then go out with my friends after school... and school ends at 4

so we're probably going to be hanging out until 6 and then I'll have dinner

and then I won't be able to... ya... I figured now was the best time

So, the challenge of the day I will be linking below

So that I can save myself some voice time... I don't know

but essentially, you just create a monster using [words from] the book you're currently reading

and I'm reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

and ya... I hope you enjoy what I did to myself

So my words are Diamond and Witness for the name and kindly and murmuring for the description

So. Here she is. I can't say I'm proud per se...

It's supposed to be a diamond, not a pizza... or... I don't even know

and then it says THE DIAMOND WITNESS

She will kindly snatch your diamonds while murmuring softly

I'm not good at this...

drawing challenges, not my forte.

But, hope you enjoyed that anyway
