everyone welcome back for another small update on major changes happening in my
lego city especially on this western side of the layout the standard
disclaimer applies of course everything in this entire layout is a work in
progress so everything is subject to change per my plans and by the time you
see the next update video some things will have changed even in the places
that look like they're getting settled in so stay tuned and just follow along
as I just execute my plans here not doing any any changes to my plans
everything is pretty well figured out it's just making it happen
now also be sure to check out the link in my opinion to comment if you haven't
seen it recently check out the link in my pinned comment which has a list of
major things that are planned to be added to this layout as well as things
that will definitely not be added to this layout just an ongoing page that I
keep updated and have kept updated for quite a while now so I've been working
on the waterfront area over here and also re elevated the street which has
more area which is elevated now more than previously and the rail is also
elevated back there as is part of the plan the original plan for all of this
so that is about about one third of the elevation that it would reach previously
when it used to be out at the edge of the table so it's going to be a very
very very small thing for the trains to get up all the elevation change occurs
back there before this crossing here the crossing itself is able to remain nice
and straight so everything here is actually going to be able to be
connected down all the railing will be attached to the plates eventually and of
course everything is going to be changing everything is going to be
updated everything is going to be filled in you know nothing that you're saying
here is is at all complete but I've also started to just kind of rough in the
position of the up Maryna which is going to have a little
bit more space than it did before a little bit more efficient arrangement of
the docks and else we've got a small the start of a small boat launch that's
starting to come in over here I definitely cannot reasonably lower the
table just part of the table on this side are the tables on this side of the
entire layout it's just not feasible and not within the scope of this project at
this time so in order to make water look lower I'm just kind of using illusions a
little bit you know the street here obviously is raised up quite a bit so
that will show that it's at a higher level than water is I'll be able to now
with the significantly larger beach that's about three times the previous
size I'll be able to have a little bit of elevation change within that and then
rocks behind that you know wave weather barrier behind that and also over here
the I mean obviously you've got boat ramp now so you know the street level is
much higher than the water level and along the rails it's going to be set up
kind of like a levee so that's all going to be elevated up it'll actually the
rocks hopefully will come up just a little bit higher than the rails the
street is also higher than the rails it's all just kind of figuring out
compromises and doing little tricks to to make things as dramatic as possible
and even more dramatic looking and they really physically are so this is all
going well this is all going to plan and the progress is good but there's still a
lot more to be done a lot more to be done so like I said by the time you see
this next things will be changed again be sure to check out the link in the
pinned comment again for a a fairly decent list of the major things that are
that are planned for this layout and also importantly things that are not
planned for it and I'm going to keep working on this things are going well so
far and happy with the progress but it's do
a lot more of these it's a lot of a lot of kind of grunt work for a lot of
the things just doing in space creating elevations moving those blue transparent
one by twos around and stuff yeah a lot more to come but it's going well thanks
