Hi everyone!

Back for Symmetria 4 episode 7

I won't do the build battle this episode

We have until October the 28th to do it

Today is October the 8th

I have three weeks to work on it

No need to hurry, do it in a week

And end up with a half-done job

So today, we are going to finish

Lightsaber Resistant Materials (Legends) - Star Wars Explained - Duration: 3:56.

Hey everybody and welcome to Leia's Lair.

In this episode I will be going over the materials that could withstand the blade of a lightsaber.

As you all know, other than the blade of another lightsaber, a lightsaber blade could cut through

seemingly anything.

However there were some other materials that could also withstand the lightsaber blade to varying degrees.

The first of these materials was cortosis.

Cortosis ore was a fibrous, brittle material that could short out lightsabers momentarily

due to its conductive properties.

In its alloy form, cortosis was sturdier, but it could no longer deactivate a lightsaber,

just deflect it.

These effects made cortosis a useful material against lightsabers.

That being said, if cortosis was struck repeatedly by a lightsaber blade, eventually it could be cut.

Next we have Phrik.

Phrik was a rare metallic compound typically used in melee weapons such as the electro-staffs

of General Grievous's MagnaGuards, as well as in the construction of lightweight, sturdy

battle armor such as Dark Trooper Armor.

Unlike cortosis, Phrik could not short out a lightsaber, instead it could only withstand it.

It was not used very often in warfare because it was extremely expensive.

Songsteel was an extremely rare shimmery, silver metal that could deflect lightsabers effortlessly.

It was incredibly lightweight, and used to make exquisite expensive weapons.

Although it was highly sought after in the galaxy, it was extremely difficult to forge.

Mandalorian iron or beskar, was an extremely durable metal found on the planet Mandalore

and its moon Concordia.

Typically used in the creation of weapons, armor and starships, this metal could withstand

blows from a lightsaber and was thought to be nearly indestructible.

It could be strengthened during the smelting process, and the forging process was kept

top secret by Mandalorian metalsmiths.

Next we have Neuranium.

Neuranium was a dense, metallic substance used to shield against radiation but could

also temporarily block lightsaber energy.

However, because it was so heavy it was not convenient to use.

Ultrachrome was a type of silver metal that was superconductive and therefore was highly

resistant to lightsaber attacks.

It was typically used as the armor of starships during the time of the Great Sith War.

Next we have armorweave.

This cloth was said to provide limited resistance to lightsaber attacks.

It was typically used in the capes and jackets worn by bounty hunters and mercenaries.

It was notably worn by General Grievous and his MagnaGuards, as well as in the cape of Darth Vader.

Water was also considered a lightsaber resistant material because, unless specially crafted

for underwater purposes, lightsabers would short out upon being submerged into water.

Finally, the unknown material used in the ancient darkswords had the ability to parry

lightsaber blades when they came into contact with them.

There were also a number of creatures who had natural armor that could resist lightsabers.

These included Vonduun Crabs, Amphistaffs, Orbalisks, Lava Dragons, the Zillo Beasts

of Malastare and the Tikulini worms.

Also interesting to mention is that Sith Alchemy could be used to augment the properties of

some metals in order to make them lightsaber resistant.

On top of that, weapons could also be imbued with Force energy to make them resistant to

lightsaber attacks.

These weapons could be anything from a quarterstaff, to a bladed weapon, to the bones and teeth

of native Felucian creatures.

Although this art was mostly forgotten by the time of Clone Wars, certain Force-sensitive

groups such as the Witches of Dathomir still used it.

And there you have it! All of the materials that could resist a lightsaber.

So, with some equipment having a small design skills, using their imagination, I think it is possible to go with this product on the market. Creating a website, spending at least a small advertising campaign in the Internet (indexing in search engines, registration in catalogues, etc.), you can already expect customers.
