Hey Welcome to Zach's Tech Turf and Weekly Download episode number 67, which is my tech
and PC gaming news series.
Obviously I'm gonna be playing some Destiny 2 this week while I give you this news, and
I got myself a cup of coffee.

get into it.
To start off the tech news this week, a very popular and honestly probably my favorite
online computer store Newegg is being sued big time.
Four banks based in South Korea are suing Newegg for a conspiracy where basically they
were lying about purchase prices of PCs so that they could receive bigger loans from
the banks.
It also ties to other companies that they were looking at such as ASI Corp, and this
is looking like a pretty big deal.
The four banks have declared that they are still owed $230 million dollars from Newegg
so we'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this.
Hopefully this doesn't make my computer build more expensive, that's all I care
about.
Razer is at it again with new products, but these two are actually very impressive in
my opinion.
It's a ring lighted webcam that allows 12 different brightness settings so that you
don't have to rely on low light technology that we see in most webcams, perfect for streaming
at night.
It can record in 1080p 30 FPS or 720p 60FPS, exactly like the Logitech C922, which I reviewed
by the way.
The second product is a new desktop microphone, the Seiren X.
It's a USB condenser microphone like the original Seiren, except it's built in top
of a shockmount and it's much smaller.
Both products will be available for $100 each later this month.

And to wrap up the tech news, Asus has developed two new laptops that are actually geared towards
either FPS games or MOBA games.
This is actually a concept that I think we'll see more of, as we already have plenty of
gaming keyboards and nice that are geared towards a specific genre, why not laptops.
The FPS laptop is built with a 1080p 120hz screen which is perfect for fast twitch shooters
like CSGO, and the MOBA laptop has a keyboard with perfectly placed custom hot key buttons.
They are also both rocking an i7 7700HQ and a GTX 1060, and both priced at 1600 bucks.
Alright so we're already at the PC gaming news this week, and to kick it off the next
3 steam sale dates have been announced already.
The Steam Halloween sale will start October 26th, the day this video goes live, the Steam
Autumn sale will start November 22nd, and the end all be all Steam Winter sale starts
on December 21st.
This should give you plenty of time to save a few more dollars so you can waste them on
these sales and increase your backlog even more.
Good thing Destiny 2 just came out so I really don't want any new games, for now.
A new Half-Life 2 mod was released this week called Dark Interval, and it's actually
a stand alone game that includes parts that were cut out of the original Half Life 2 game.
You don't need Half Life 2 to run it, and it includes new locations, characters, and
a story that's never been seen before.
You can find the full instructions on how to download and play in the link in the description,
where I link everything I talk about by the way, and it doesn't look difficult at all.
I actually might check this one out myself.
We're all sick of loot boxes right?
Well apparently not because websites like Twitch are even starting to have them.
During this upcoming Halloween season every time you cheer your favorite streamer with
at least 250 bits you'll unlocked what's called a Halloween-themed Twitch Crate.
Inside this crate you'll be gifted a unique zombie emote that will work for the rest of
the year.
I don't know what you guys think, but I'm NOT a fan of this direction.
Blizzard is also in the season of giving as they are giving away a free Hearthstone classic
pack to anyone that checks out their new gifting page before the end of the year.
Now in the Battle.net shop you'll find an option to gift items instead of just buy them.
You can give your friends Hearthstone packs, skins, etc which is actually pretty cool.
Don't forget to claim that free pack.
In some Destiny 2 news, 400 players have been banned by Bungie for apparently using software
that could comproise the integrity of the game.
Initially on the first night of release, dozens of players were outraged saying that they
were automatically perma banned because they were running basic PC software like Fraps,
OBS, etc.
Bungoe has since released a statement saying that they don't even do automatic bans and
that every ban is from an actual Bungie employee that noticed the user was running shady software.
We'll keep an eye out for this to see if others get banned, but the Destiny subreddit
was completely outraged this week because of this.
And to wrap up this short week with better Destiny 2 news, Bungie actually released some
pretty interesting news about the Destiny 2 PC release.
They said as of right now, builds, updates, patches, etc will all be the same across console
and PC's, but they have the option and are open to updating them seperatly.
For example, on PC where using your mouse provides much more accuracy, hand cannon's
might be overpowered compared to on the console.
I love that they said they are trying to keep them balanced together but if the need arises
they will adjust them individually, that's a great sign.
