Hi, in this video we are continue doing such hat.
Previously I've finished doing second ear.
One loop left.
Now I'll do loops here - as many loops as many rows I've already did here.
I.e. 21 loops.
I'm doing 20 more loops using hook.
Here I have edge loops.
I'll work not in the edge loop.
But in the next one.
Pulling out the yarn.
And putting the loop on the hook.
And the next loop...
In such way I'm doing all loops.
It should be 21 loops.
But it is ok if you'll got 20 or 22.
Just be sure that from another side you'll got the same amount of loops.
So, picking loops till the end of the ear part, till here...
I've finished with those loops.
And those are loops related to the back of a head.
And I'm working them through the front of loops.
Reached the second ear.
And picking loops along the edge here too.
The same amount as I've done here.
Inserting the loop not into the very edge loop.
But one loop before.
I've put all the loops from the back part on the knitting needles.
And I've got 2 yarns here.
One of them I'll be picking along this side.
Then will work all the loops that we left for the face part.
And will pick loops here.
I'm picking those loops on another knitting needle, in the same way.
I've picked 21 loops.
And will pick one more additional loop, between those loops.
To omit a hole here.
But I'm inserting a hook not here...
But here.
Next, I'm working loops that we left for a face part.
Done.
And now picking loops from here.
It should be 21 loops here.
And 1 additional loop between those parts.
And I'm inserting hook not here...
But here, in next loop.
And picking 21 loops.
That's what I've got.
And if you want to make a double layered hat.
You'll need to do one more such hat.
In first layer hat we may cut those yarns off.
Hiding all endings.
When you will hide an ending from the ear 's corner...
Put loops on the knitting needles, not to tie them.
As well hide an ending at the top of a head.
And at that place, where we attached the yarn.
Then insert a contrast yarn into the needle.
And moving loops from one knitting needle to the first yarn.
And from another knitting needle to the second yarn.
So, I've moved one hat to those yarns.
And doing one more such hat.
But leave those yarns.
Then put one hat into another.
And sewing them together in this place.
Now I'll shift loops from one side of a hat and another one to a single knitting needle.
One by one, alternately. One loop from needle, one loop from yarn...
One loop from needle, one loop from yarn...
And so on.
I've shifted all the loops.
We may pull the yarn out.
And now move all loops from another side too.
Take that part that is for back of a head.
And working 2 loops together, with incline to the left.
If your loops are turned as classical knitting loops.
Just change their direction.
Like that.
And work them together.
And you won't get crossed yarns here.
Done.
Now here we will do loops.
To make a neck here.
For neck part I'll take 4/5 from a girth of a head.
I.e. It takes 136 loops for girth, so I'm deviding them by 5.
And multiplying by 4, and I'm getting 108 loops.
From 108 I'm substracting those loops.
Here I have 28, 22 and 22.
So I'll need to do 36 loops.
I'll do those loops on additional yarn.
For that I'll do a chain using hook.
Inserting a hook under the yarn.
Twist it clock counterwise.
Pick the yarn.
And pull it through the loop.
Then pick the yarn.
And pull it through the loop.
You need to do big loops, do not tie them.
Do a needed amount of loops + few additional loops as well.
Pull the yarn out and cut off the ending.
And leave it.
Tighten it for now.
But do not pull this ending out.
So, we've got such chain.
There is a yarn here, from the back.
Like stitches.
Such loops.
We will pick up loops using them.
Insert a knitting needle under those loops.
And pulling out new loops.
Watch the chain not to twist.
In such way doing needed amount of loops.
I'm picking 36 loops.
Done.
And next we will work the neck part, by round.
I'll do a shirr 1x1.
And now we will work on single circle knitting needle.
Thats why after few loops done...
It will be not very comfortable to work.
You'll pull out a knitting needle in such way.
And continue working.
When you'll reach those loops.
Work them, as regular loops, like a shirr 1x1.
I've finished 10cm of a neck part.
And will close those loops.
Closing loops in elastic way.
Working first loop.
Then I have a wrong side loop.
So working it from yourself.
Like that.
And working wrong side loop.
Then I'm picking here the second loop.
And then the first one.
Now I have a right side loop, so I'm working it to myself.
Working this loop.
And I'm picking the second loop on it.
And then the first one.
And closing loops in such way - at wrong side loop working from yourself.
And before right side loop - working to youself.
So' I've got such elastic edge.
Only 1 loop left.
I'm cutting the yarn and pulling it out.
Inserting it into the next loop.
And fixing the yarn with knots.
And cutting it off.
Now I'll do a shirr by round.
It will be 2cm high.
Now I'll work 2 loops together here.
And then will move loops from this row and will work them, into the shirr as well.
Working 2 loops together, with incline to the left.
Then take another circle knitting needle.
Dissolve this chain.
And I'll move those loops to the circle knitting needle.
It is more convenient to put a needle under the loop.
And then to pull it out.
And in such way I'll moving all the loops.
Now I'm starting to do a shirr.
But to omit a hole here.
I'll work those loops from this side.
And work those 2 loops together.
Next doing regular shirr.
One right side loop.
And one wrong side loop.
Done till the end.
And to omit hole in this corner.
I'll do additional loop.
Then by round I'm working with a shirr, with height 2 cm.
Done the 2cm shirr.
Now taking a rubber of a hat color.
Insert it into the needle.
And passing it through all the loops.
Pull out the rubber, and closing the loops as usually.
Working first loop.
And then working loops as per knitting pattern.
We have a wrong side loop here so working it accordingly.
So put first loop on the second one.
Then we have a face side loop.
So put the first on the second one.
And so on.
All loops are closed, do not cut this yarn yet.
Try the hat on a kid.
And adjust the shirr here.
I'm not cutting this yarn yet.
May be I'll need to adjust a shirr height.
I've tried the hat.
We may cut this yarn off.
Take a piece of yarn.
Twist it.
And split 1 thin thread from it.
I'll sew up a shirr with it.
Cut the rubber off.
And fix those endings.
With a thread.
Thats it, and I need to fix the last yarn.
So, I've got such hat!
