[Episode 53 - Raffles]

As you know, wayward irresponsible Fred Vincy is a thing of the past and

what better way to celebrate the new, responsible Fred Vincy than...

irresponsible drinking!

So, here I am celebrating the birthday of my new best friend...

Whose party is this? - It's John's.

- John... - Raffles, man.

Guess who's finally legal?! - Brooooo!

Thanks for coming!

- Hey man! - Hey, what's up?

Come on, man.

So, so, wait, more importantly, - Okay.

- Have you heard his story

for what he's doing this summer?

- No! - Ahh you guys are gonna love this!

Alright, help me up, help me up! - Yeah!

- Gather round, everyone!

STORY TIME with Johnny Raffles!

Alright, so, there was once this guy,

John Raffles, yours truly, who was at Rigg University,

until he got like kicked out, but that's not important.

Alright, bygones.

Anyway, so when I was at Rigg, I had your own

Professor Bulstrode... - Ugh, the worst.

- ...as my bio TA. Like, unreal. - Whoa.

- And so, you know one day I like sneak into his office

and like go on the computer and I try to like change my grade,

cuz like, who gives me a C+?

Anyway, had to be a straight-A student.

BUT guess what else I frickin' found? - Tell us, man.

- SO turns out this guy's got like his own side business and is like selling papers,

like pre-written ones, to students.

He's making real good money, and I'm here like, dude.

But, y'know, I don't have any use for this information at the time so I just ignore it.

I got kicked out like the next day...whatever, but that's- that's not relevant. Uhh...

SO, guess what I did. - What'd you do?

So, you know that Featherstone thing I applied for? - Yeah...

- I wasn't being considered for it,

I mean I didn't even apply for it, really,

But I did totally blackmail Bulstrode into giving it to me. - DUDE!! - Whoaaa!

- Yeah, I know, right?! Crime of the CENTURY.

- Ladies, gentlemen, and otherwise, if you heard what I just heard, I think that means that-

Is that Lydgate?!

Drinking irresponsibly is MY thing.

- I'm ready? - You ready? - I'm READY - ARE YOU READY

- I'M READY I'M READY I'M READY I'M READY AAAAAAHHH [celebratory drunken sounds]

HEY!! FRED!!! BUDDYYYYYY....

- Lydgate, buddy.... - Hiiiiii how are you?

- I'm- I'm good. Let's go this way. - OKAY!

- Okay, I- I don't know what's going on with you

but I'm a little bit worried. - FRED, BUDDY,

You don't have to worry. I've got everything under contr-

Why This '90s Star Got Dropped By Hollywood - Duration: 5:14.

In the early 2000s, Rachael Leigh Cook seemed poised to hit the big time.

She starred in The Baby-Sitters Club, appeared as young Jackie O in The House of Yes, and

became a household name in the cute teen comedy She's All That.

It should have been smooth sailing to stardom from there, but instead of taking her rightful

place on the A-list, Cook just kind of disappeared.

Why did she drop off the radar?

Looking back at her career, it all starts to make sense.

Still trapped in the '90s

Starring as the geek to chic girl in She's All That was both a blessing and a curse.

The movie earned her '90s "it girl" status, but she could never really break free of that

status.

Nearly 20 years after She's All That, it's still arguably her most recognizable role.

Perhaps the reason she's still so associated with that role is that she doesn't appear

to have aged much since the movie's release.

That might be good for reprising her old "this is your brain on drugs" commercial, but it

could also be holding her back from securing more serious roles nowadays.

"Like, I'm trying.

I'm trying my best over here."

Genre jump

A lot of rom-com starlets return to the genre once or twice before attempting to hop into

more serious film fare.

"I'm done!

I don't deserve this.

I really do not deserve this."

But Rachel Leigh Cook eschewed the genre entirely and opted to make a home on the indie scene

right away after She's All That.

The starlet has since admitted that part of the decision to diss her star-making scene

was naivete and an attempt to emulate the career choices of her House of Yes co-star

Parker Posey.

She told SheKnows, "I quickly identified her as the coolest person I had ever born witness

to.

And what she mostly did was edgy, smaller films.

As soon as I had options in my career, I almost immediately swung my career in that direction."

However, Cook never managed to nail the kind of gritty roles that would have established

her as a serious presence in Hollywood.

In 2004, after making a handful of low-budget indies and formulaic thrillers that never

found an audience, she pivoted to take on a darker, different kind of role as a schizophrenic

pop star in the film Stateside.

It could have been an attention-getting move that proved her range as an actress, but unfortunately

Cook's performance was off-key and couldn't transcend the film's poorly-written script

or slightly ludicrous premise.

Bummer.

Box office bombs

Nothing saps a promising star's momentum like a terrible movie, and Cook had a spate of

them.

Although she stayed busy after She's All That, appearing in a total of nine projects over

the next two years, virtually none of them performed as hoped.

Get Carter, a promising ensemble drama, made only $19 million against a $63 million budget;

and Josie and the Pussycats couldn't even earn back its modest budget of $22 million

and was viciously panned by critics.

And the corporate techno-thriller Antitrust didn't just put a big dent in Cook's Hollywood

cachet — it seems to have cursed the careers of basically everyone in it, including Ryan

Phillippe and Claire Forlani.

Without the ability to draw crowds at the box office, Cook's clout in Hollywood began

to fade.

Primetime bust

Like many actors who couldn't quite find their footing in feature films, Cook's next big

move in 2012 was to reinvent herself on prime time TV by taking on the role of an FBI agent

in TNT's quirky crime drama Perception.

It was a smart choice for Cook and a great chance to get back on Hollywood's radar in

a new way.

"I'm small, I come from indie dramas and romantic comedy.

I just never really thought I could get a sort of hard-hitting role like that…"

Unfortunately, the series didn't score the kind of ratings it needed and was cancelled

after three seasons.

Mom first

Cook gave birth to two children in 2013 and 2015, and all signs point to her making motherhood

a first priority.

The actress relocated with her family to Atlanta while her husband Daniel Gillies was busy

shooting his vampire drama The Originals.

Although Atlanta is certainly a hotspot for certain Hollywood projects, it's still not

very close to Tinseltown where all the auditioning magic tends to take place.

She also told SheKnows that she tends to think twice about whether a gig will be worth it,

in light of her new childcare needs and locale, saying, "I know the hardest part is the sheer

number of people I have to inconvenience when I want to go to work.

Logistically it's just plain complicated .. Also, deciding if a project makes sense not only

as a career, but financial sense, now plays a role.

A lot of the fun, smaller movies will cost us money to do by the time we pay for additional

care."

Not too late

In 2016, Cook did make an unusual pivot by agreeing to star in two separate projects

produced by The Hallmark Channel.

While feel-good TV movies have a bad rap as the place where Hollywood careers go to die,

for Cook, it sounds like making a couple of less-serious films could be a first step toward

rediscovering what kind of actress she really wants to be.

In a 2016 interview, she admitted, "My desire to be cool is constantly pitted against my

actual taste.

I tend toward the sunnier side although I desperately want to do no budget edgy things."

In other words, if Cook stops trying to make herself fit the mold of an edgy indie actress

and just starts making the kind of movies she likes, there should be no shortage of

roles for her.

Add to the fact that Hollywood is all about nostalgia projects these days, she's perfectly

poised for a comeback in She's STILL All That.

Hey, we can dream, can't we?

Justice League NEWS DarkSeid SET To APPEAR Due To Chernobyl Set UP? Act 2 Leaks CONFIRMED? - Duration: 7:23.

what is good youtube Warstu Here with a video on the Justice League movie

so we've got a very interesting image of Wonder Woman looking lovely and Bruce

wayne/batman without the cowl on he looks awesome so

why is this image awesome because it comes from Empire Magazine and we know

it's official but we do see a ferris wheel in the background which is very

fishy and it looks like Chernobyl I hope I'm saying that right behind the Wonder

Woman and they've clearly put it there for a reason

so basically it's a place in Ukraine there was a massive nuclear power power

plant one of the reactors went off in 1986 and it caused the massive disaster

where the whole place 30-mile radius had to be evacuated and the fact that its

period behind wonderin leads me and my team of people to speculate that this is

in fact the amusement park located just a few miles outside of this disaster

site so this image just confirmed that this place will actually be in the movie

and it could actually be where the final battle happens and it could actually be

where the red skies are I don't know it could be but why would the newly formed

superheroes have to nuke it with Steph with Steppenwolf and his army parademons

at Chernobyl could it be this is the place where the site exists above the

new gods of the first war in that the kind of pre dog scene that we're going

to see there's lights or lists of things it could be I've listed I'm gonna list a

few it could be one of the boom tube generators located there that connects

earth and Apocalypse together pocalypse is like the fourth world which is like

it's outside the multiverse but it's a mirror world of ours hence why paradeen

was alone that way around it or could it actually be the place where Darkseid and

his mother boxes were actually responsible for a nuclear meltdown in

the first place very interested in and many people think that the red sky is

either Chernobyl or it's the fourth world but I can't I can't honestly see

it being the fourth world unless we're gonna die only to see Darkseid

so guys massive spoiler warning spoiler alert

because we've seen the place Ukraine and Chernobyl come up I'm gonna go over a

potential leak that came up about a few months back I did list it but because

they're in Ukraine and this image does she insinuated going to be there

possibly true so every thought this the league heads through to Ukraine and gets

ready for battle Bruce asked the team to stop holding

back and give the fight 100% a true crane the league fights Steppenwolf this

is where Stefan walls realizes that cyborg is the third mother box and

Steppenwolf kills cyborgs dad and cyborg is Davis devastated and Steppenwolf

tries to kidnap him only to be stopped by wondering Batman is forced to make

the league retract retreat sorry to avoid more collateral damage the leak

may League makes their way to it near get away which does correspond to

reports and other things so that's kind of interesting so war so we see in this

image which is kind of interesting if you look on the left it looks like a

scene from the opening that started the movie which is a prequel seen like

Darkseid opening battle which is the age of the heroes where if you listen to the

trailer you were here Wonder and say the Age of Heroes was never meant it was

never supposed to happen again so this is a massive hint to the darkside war

you can see the apocalypse forces you can see the ships you can see some beam

you can see the Amazonians attacking them I don't think we're going to see

what the dark side in it is seen how it's gonna massively hint that Darkseid

is too cause of it and we already have consummate confirmation of a massive

dark opening scene that will be set hundreds if not thousands for the Wonder

and movie start if you want to know more about I suggest you read Darkseid war I

think it's a Geoff Johns one pretty interesting they were giving more

information about the artists like war it's a really interesting story art so

what are Stefan Wolfe plans so ciaran hinds the actor who plays him had this

to say I'm sorry I'm not in costume I didn't even have a costume when I was

doing it Heinz revealed it's all done in motion capture so they stick a helmet on

your head they put two cameras around and they capture all your expressions of

facial expressions so basically they're going to I connect everything together

which is kind of interesting because that's the issue I

with CGI motion captured villains it seems like he's not even had a fight

with one Drouin it looks like everything's just edited in we see in

the trust latest trailer wonder ones fighting Steppenwolf so now that's the

issue I had with Ares in the one doing movie there's just too much CDI and

motion capture and going on but I don't think they're gonna mess it's filling up

as it would be too much of a massive hindrance this villain needs to be epic

to set up bark slide or someone coming after him most like the dark side so he

went on to say this this is about his bite Stefan Wolf's character he's still

trying to get out of his own enslavement to dark side Holmes explains but he has

to keep on that this line to try and take over world so it did say like he's

going to take over this world like he's taking others and we seem to swing

massively into the ground so I find this very interesting that that this

amusement park kind of Chernobyl bit has appeared in a new image and the

pacifically placed gal gadot wonder when in front of it and you can clearly see

that there and you can clearly see the prequel image on the left hand side so

guys let me know about this are you excited do you think that

potentially is where the final battle is going to take place just like the leaks

said a while ago I did give a spoiler warning so don't say you ruined it for

me like this is just a theory guys in my lady from true but it would make sense

do you think this ferris wheel kind of Chernobyl scene is going to be in the

real earth like our earth is going to be on the foot the fourth world where do

you think it's due thing we're gonna get dioxide there's so many strong hints at

dockside but sin is there's been no casting new star side I really very much

doubt we're gonna see dark side to maybe a teaser scene at the end anyway guys

please like subscribe and comments you guys have been actually or swimming yet

some really good feedback for these videos so I'm gonna keep doing them

daily all the way up to the Justice League movie on the November the 17th if

I can guys I'm absolutely loving bringing this content to you if you've

The World Wide Web: Crash Course Computer Science #30 - Duration: 11:37.

Hi, I'm Carrie Anne, and welcome to CrashCourse Computer Science.

Over the past two episodes, we've delved into the wires, signals, switches, packets,

routers and protocols that make up the internet.

Today we're going to move up yet another level of abstraction and talk about the World

Wide Web.This is not the same thing as the Internet, even though people often use the

two terms interchangeably in everyday language.

The World Wide Web runs on top of the internet, in the same way that Skype, Minecraft or Instagram do.

The Internet is the underlying plumbing that conveys the data for all these different applications.

And The World Wide Web is the biggest of them all – a huge distributed application running

on millions of servers worldwide, accessed using a special program called a web browser.

We're going to learn about that, and much more, in today's episode.

INTRO

The fundamental building block of the World Wide Web – or web for short – is a single

page.

This is a document, containing content, which can include links to other pages.

These are called hyperlinks.

You all know what these look like: text or images that you can click, and they jump you

to another page.

These hyperlinks form a huge web of interconnected information, which is where the whole thing

gets its name.

This seems like such an obvious idea.

But before hyperlinks were implemented, every time you wanted to switch to another piece

of information on a computer, you had to rummage through the file system to find it, or type

it into a search box.

With hyperlinks, you can easily flow from one related topic to another.

The value of hyperlinked information was conceptualized by Vannevar Bush way back in 1945.

He published an article describing a hypothetical machine called a Memex, which we discussed

in Episode 24.

Bush described it as "associative indexing ... whereby any item may be caused at will

to select another immediately and automatically."

He elaborated: "The process of tying two things together is the important thing...thereafter,

at any time, when one of those items is in view, the other [item] can be instantly recalled

merely by tapping a button."

In 1945, computers didn't even have screens, so this idea was way ahead of its time!

Text containing hyperlinks is so powerful, it got an equally awesome name: hypertext!

Web pages are the most common type of hypertext document today.

They're retrieved and rendered by web browsers which we'll get to in a few minutes.

In order for pages to link to one another, each hypertext page needs a unique address.

On the web, this is specified by a Uniform Resource Locator, or URL for short.

An example web page URL is thecrashcourse.com/courses.

Like we discussed last episode, when you request a site, the first thing your computer does

is a DNS lookup.

This takes a domain name as input – like "the crash course dot com" – and replies

back with the corresponding computer's IP address.

Now, armed with the IP address of the computer you want, your web browser opens a TCP connection

to a computer that's running a special piece of software called a web server.

The standard port number for web servers is port 80.

At this point, all your computer has done is connect to the web server at the address

thecrashcourse.com

The next step is to ask that web server for the "courses" hypertext page.

To do this, it uses the aptly named Hypertext Transfer Protocol, or HTTP.

The very first documented version of this spec, HTTP 0.9, created in 1991, only had

one command – "GET".

Fortunately, that's pretty much all you need.

Because we're trying to get the "courses" page, we send the server the following command

– GET /courses.

This command is sent as raw ASCII text to the web server, which then replies back with

the web page hypertext we requested.

This is interpreted by your computer's web browser and rendered to your screen.

If the user follows a link to another page, the computer just issues another GET request.

And this goes on and on as you surf around the website.

In later versions, HTTP added status codes, which prefixed any hypertext that was sent

following a GET request.

For example, status code 200 means OK – I've got the page and here it is!

Status codes in the four hundreds are for client errors.

Like, if a user asks the web server for a page that doesn't exist, that's the dreaded

404 error!

Web page hypertext is stored and sent as plain old text, for example, encoded in ASCII or

UTF-16, which we talked about in Episodes 4 and 20.

Because plain text files don't have a way to specify what's a link and what's not,

it was necessary to develop a way to "mark up" a text file with hypertext elements.

For this, the Hypertext Markup Language was developed.

The very first version of HTML version 0.a, created in 1990, provided 18 HTML commands

to markup pages.

That's it!

Let's build a webpage with these!

First, let's give our web page a big heading.

To do this, we type in the letters "H 1", which indicates the start of a first level

heading, and we surround that in angle brackets.

This is one example of an HTML tag.

Then, we enter whatever heading text we want.

We don't want the whole page to be a heading.

So, we need to "close" the "h1" tag like so, with a little slash in the front.

Now lets add some content.

Visitors may not know what Klingons are, so let's make that word a hyperlink to the

Klingon Language Institute for more information.

We do this with an "A" tag, inside of which we include an attribute that specifies

a hyperlink reference.

That's the page to jump to if the link is clicked.

And finally, we need to close the A tag.

Now lets add a second level heading, which uses an "h2" tag.

HTML also provides tags to create lists.

We start this by adding the tag for an ordered list.

Then we can add as many items as we want, surrounded in "L i" tags, which stands

for list item.

People may not know what a bat'leth is, so let's make that a hyperlink too.

Lastly, for good form, we need to close the ordered list tag.

And we're done – that's a very simple web page!

If you save this text into notepad or textedit, and name it something like "test.html",

you should be able to open it by dragging it into your computer's web browser.

Of course, today's web pages are a tad more sophisticated.

The newest version of HTML, version 5, has over a hundred different tags – for things

like images, tables, forms and buttons.

And there are other technologies we're not going to discuss, like Cascading Style Sheets

or CSS and JavaScript, which can be embedded into HTML pages and do even fancier things.

That brings us back to web browsers.

This is the application on your computer that lets you talk with all these web servers.

Browsers not only request pages and media, but also render the content that's being

returned.

The first web browser, and web server, was written by (now Sir) Tim Berners-Lee over

the course of two months in 1990.

At the time, he was working at CERN in Switzerland.

To pull this feat off, he simultaneously created several of the fundamental web standards we

discussed today: URLs, HTML and HTTP.

Not bad for two months work!

Although to be fair, he'd been researching hypertext systems for over a decade.

After initially circulating his software amongst colleagues at CERN, it was released to the

public in 1991.

The World Wide Web was born.

Importantly, the web was an open standard, making it possible for anyone to develop new

web servers and browsers.

This allowed a team at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to create the Mosaic web

browser in 1993.

It was the first browser that allowed graphics to be embedded alongside text; previous browsers

displayed graphics in separate windows.

It also introduced new features like bookmarks, and had a friendly GUI interface, which made

it popular.

Even though it looks pretty crusty, it's recognizable as the web we know today!

By the end of the 1990s, there were many web browsers in use, like Netscape Navigator,

Internet Explorer, Opera, OmniWeb and Mozilla.

Many web servers were also developed, like Apache and Microsoft's Internet Information

Services (IIS).

New websites popped up daily, and web mainstays like Amazon and eBay were founded in the mid-1990s.

A golden era!

The web was flourishing and people increasingly needed ways to find things.

If you knew the web address of where you wanted to go – like ebay.com – you could just

type it into the browser.

But what if you didn't know where to go?

Like, you only knew that you wanted pictures of cute cats.

Right now!

Where do you go?

At first, people maintained web pages which served as directories hyperlinking to other

websites.

Most famous among these was "Jerry and David's guide to the World Wide Web", renamed Yahoo

in 1994.

As the web grew, these human-edited directories started to get unwieldy, and so search engines

were developed.

Let's go to the thought bubble!

The earliest web search engine that operated like the ones we use today, was JumpStation,

created by Jonathon Fletcher in 1993 at the University of Stirling.

This consisted of three pieces of software that worked together.

The first was a web crawler, software that followed all the links it could find on the

web; anytime it followed a link to a page that had new links, it would add those to

its list.

The second component was an ever enlarging index, recording what text terms appeared

on what pages the crawler had visited.

The final piece was a search algorithm that consulted the index; for example, if I typed

the word "cat" into JumpStation, every webpage where the word "cat" appeared

would come up in a list.

Early search engines used very simple metrics to rank order their search results, most often

just the number of times a search term appeared on a page.

This worked okay, until people started gaming the system, like by writing "cat" hundreds

of times on their web pages just to steer traffic their way.

Google's rise to fame was in large part due to a clever algorithm that sidestepped

this issue.

Instead of trusting the content on a web page, they looked at how other websites linked to

that page.

If it was a spam page with the word cat over and over again, no site would link to it.

But if the webpage was an authority on cats, then other sites would likely link to it.

So the number of what are called "backlinks", especially from reputable sites, was often

a good sign of quality.

This started as a research project called BackRub at Stanford University in 1996, before

being spun out, two years later, into the Google we know today.

Thanks thought bubble!

Finally, I want to take a second to talk about a term you've probably heard a lot recently,

"Net Neutrality".

Now that you've built an understanding of packets, internet routing, and the World Wide

Web, you know enough to understand the essence – at least the technical essence – of

this big debate.

In short, network neutrality is the principle that all packets on the internet should be

treated equally.

It doesn't matter if the packets are my email or you streaming this video, they should

all chug along at the same speed and priority.

But many companies would prefer that their data arrive to you preferentially.

Take for example, Comcast, a large ISP that also owns many TV channels, like NBC and The

Weather Channel, which are streamed online.

Not to pick on Comcast, but in the absence of Net Neutrality rules, they could for example say that

they want their content to be delivered silky smooth, with high priority…

But other streaming videos are going to get throttled, that is, intentionally given less

bandwidth and lower priority. Again I just want to reiterate here this is just conjecture.

At a high level, Net Neutrality advocates argue that giving internet providers this

ability to essentially set up tolls on the internet – to provide premium packet delivery

– plants the seeds for an exploitative business model.

ISPs could be gatekeepers to content, with strong incentives to not play nice with competitors.

Also, if big companies like Netflix and Google can pay to get special treatment, small companies,

like start-ups, will be at a disadvantage, stifling innovation.

On the other hand, there are good technical reasons why you might want different types

of data to flow at different speeds.

That skype call needs high priority, but it's not a big deal if an email comes in a few

seconds late.

Net-neutrality opponents also argue that market forces and competition would discourage bad

behavior, because customers would leave ISPs that are throttling sites they like.

This debate will rage on for a while yet, and as we always encourage on Crash Course,

you should go out and learn more because the implications of Net Neutrality are complex

and wide-reaching.

I'll see you next week.

Двойная шапка-шлем спицами, часть 2. Knitted hemlet hat, part 2. - Duration: 18:53.

Hi, in this video we are continue doing such hat.

Previously I've finished doing second ear.

One loop left.

Now I'll do loops here - as many loops as many rows I've already did here.

I.e. 21 loops.

I'm doing 20 more loops using hook.

Here I have edge loops.

I'll work not in the edge loop.

But in the next one.

Pulling out the yarn.

And putting the loop on the hook.

And the next loop...

In such way I'm doing all loops.

It should be 21 loops.

But it is ok if you'll got 20 or 22.

Just be sure that from another side you'll got the same amount of loops.

So, picking loops till the end of the ear part, till here...

I've finished with those loops.

And those are loops related to the back of a head.

And I'm working them through the front of loops.

Reached the second ear.

And picking loops along the edge here too.

The same amount as I've done here.

Inserting the loop not into the very edge loop.

But one loop before.

I've put all the loops from the back part on the knitting needles.

And I've got 2 yarns here.

One of them I'll be picking along this side.

Then will work all the loops that we left for the face part.

And will pick loops here.

I'm picking those loops on another knitting needle, in the same way.

I've picked 21 loops.

And will pick one more additional loop, between those loops.

To omit a hole here.

But I'm inserting a hook not here...

But here.

Next, I'm working loops that we left for a face part.

Done.

And now picking loops from here.

It should be 21 loops here.

And 1 additional loop between those parts.

And I'm inserting hook not here...

But here, in next loop.

And picking 21 loops.

That's what I've got.

And if you want to make a double layered hat.

You'll need to do one more such hat.

In first layer hat we may cut those yarns off.

Hiding all endings.

When you will hide an ending from the ear 's corner...

Put loops on the knitting needles, not to tie them.

As well hide an ending at the top of a head.

And at that place, where we attached the yarn.

Then insert a contrast yarn into the needle.

And moving loops from one knitting needle to the first yarn.

And from another knitting needle to the second yarn.

So, I've moved one hat to those yarns.

And doing one more such hat.

But leave those yarns.

Then put one hat into another.

And sewing them together in this place.

Now I'll shift loops from one side of a hat and another one to a single knitting needle.

One by one, alternately. One loop from needle, one loop from yarn...

One loop from needle, one loop from yarn...

And so on.

I've shifted all the loops.

We may pull the yarn out.

And now move all loops from another side too.

Take that part that is for back of a head.

And working 2 loops together, with incline to the left.

If your loops are turned as classical knitting loops.

Just change their direction.

Like that.

And work them together.

And you won't get crossed yarns here.

Done.

Now here we will do loops.

To make a neck here.

For neck part I'll take 4/5 from a girth of a head.

I.e. It takes 136 loops for girth, so I'm deviding them by 5.

And multiplying by 4, and I'm getting 108 loops.

From 108 I'm substracting those loops.

Here I have 28, 22 and 22.

So I'll need to do 36 loops.

I'll do those loops on additional yarn.

For that I'll do a chain using hook.

Inserting a hook under the yarn.

Twist it clock counterwise.

Pick the yarn.

And pull it through the loop.

Then pick the yarn.

And pull it through the loop.

You need to do big loops, do not tie them.

Do a needed amount of loops + few additional loops as well.

Pull the yarn out and cut off the ending.

And leave it.

Tighten it for now.

But do not pull this ending out.

So, we've got such chain.

There is a yarn here, from the back.

Like stitches.

Such loops.

We will pick up loops using them.

Insert a knitting needle under those loops.

And pulling out new loops.

Watch the chain not to twist.

In such way doing needed amount of loops.

I'm picking 36 loops.

Done.

And next we will work the neck part, by round.

I'll do a shirr 1x1.

And now we will work on single circle knitting needle.

Thats why after few loops done...

It will be not very comfortable to work.

You'll pull out a knitting needle in such way.

And continue working.

When you'll reach those loops.

Work them, as regular loops, like a shirr 1x1.

I've finished 10cm of a neck part.

And will close those loops.

Closing loops in elastic way.

Working first loop.

Then I have a wrong side loop.

So working it from yourself.

Like that.

And working wrong side loop.

Then I'm picking here the second loop.

And then the first one.

Now I have a right side loop, so I'm working it to myself.

Working this loop.

And I'm picking the second loop on it.

And then the first one.

And closing loops in such way - at wrong side loop working from yourself.

And before right side loop - working to youself.

So' I've got such elastic edge.

Only 1 loop left.

I'm cutting the yarn and pulling it out.

Inserting it into the next loop.

And fixing the yarn with knots.

And cutting it off.

Now I'll do a shirr by round.

It will be 2cm high.

Now I'll work 2 loops together here.

And then will move loops from this row and will work them, into the shirr as well.

Working 2 loops together, with incline to the left.

Then take another circle knitting needle.

Dissolve this chain.

And I'll move those loops to the circle knitting needle.

It is more convenient to put a needle under the loop.

And then to pull it out.

And in such way I'll moving all the loops.

Now I'm starting to do a shirr.

But to omit a hole here.

I'll work those loops from this side.

And work those 2 loops together.

Next doing regular shirr.

One right side loop.

And one wrong side loop.

Done till the end.

And to omit hole in this corner.

I'll do additional loop.

Then by round I'm working with a shirr, with height 2 cm.

Done the 2cm shirr.

Now taking a rubber of a hat color.

Insert it into the needle.

And passing it through all the loops.

Pull out the rubber, and closing the loops as usually.

Working first loop.

And then working loops as per knitting pattern.

We have a wrong side loop here so working it accordingly.

So put first loop on the second one.

Then we have a face side loop.

So put the first on the second one.

And so on.

All loops are closed, do not cut this yarn yet.

Try the hat on a kid.

And adjust the shirr here.

I'm not cutting this yarn yet.

May be I'll need to adjust a shirr height.

I've tried the hat.

We may cut this yarn off.

Take a piece of yarn.

Twist it.

And split 1 thin thread from it.

I'll sew up a shirr with it.

Cut the rubber off.

And fix those endings.

With a thread.

Thats it, and I need to fix the last yarn.

So, I've got such hat!

I hope that you like the tutorial.

Thanks for your Likes and Subscriptions!

It is very important for me!

Health Insurance Terms You Need to Know (in the U.S.) - Duration: 6:34.

Let's start with a breathing exercise.

Okay?

In through the nose... and out through the mouth....

Today we're getting into a calm frame of mind, because we're gonna talk about

health insurance.

[♪♩INTRO]

Health insurance can be a super confusing and frustrating thing to deal with.

But it's a huge part of adulting!

Since we don't have a crystal ball for how the future of American health care will turn

out, we won't be talking today about what kind of public or private health care plan

options might be available to you.

Instead, this will be a primer on the very basics of health insurance for an individual,

regardless of where your insurance is coming from.

Now, the next time you're choosing a plan or someone asks you how it works, it won't

all seem like some alien language.

First up, let's talk about your insurance policy that you'll buy from your health

insurance company.

This is the plan that says how much you're paying and what kind of services the insurance

company will pay for, including routine checkups and emergency care.

Insurance policies usually last for one year and you'll typically sign up for a new one

around December or January, unless your employment or life changes.

Many health insurance policies exclude dental and vision coverage, so you'll need to buy

an additional policy to cover those things if you have, uh, eyes and teeth.

[laughter, because what else?]

When choosing your insurance policy, it's really important to understand how much your

premium will be.

The premium is how much you pay each month for the service, just like Netflix.

If you get your health insurance through your company, they might automatically deduct the

payments from your paycheck.

If you signed up for a plan through the Affordable Care Act or a private insurer, you're in

charge of remembering to pay the premium each month.

How much your premium costs will be largely related to your deductible.

The deductible is how much you have to pay for your health care before the insurance

company will start reimbursing claims, the bill for the service.

Usually the doctor's office or hospital that you went to will send the claim, aka

the bill, directly to your insurance company.

If your deductible is high, like, say, six thousand dollars, that means you will have

to pay out of pocket for six thousand dollars' worth of services before your insurance kicks

in and starts reimbursing claims.

But!

Even if you haven't met your deductible, most insurance plans do cover almost all of

the costs of routine preventative care, like getting a yearly checkup or a gynecological

exam.

Pretty much every plan defines routine care differently, so it's a good thing to read up on when

picking a plan.

They make it really confusing.

The type of health insurance company you're buying a plan from might make a difference

when it comes to choosing which doctors you can see.

If you've ever heard of HMOs, AKA health maintenance organizations, they only cover

procedures performed by certain professionals in a network.

You'll want to make sure that the doctor you go to is in network for your HMO.

But wait!

If your health insurance comes through a PPO, or a preferred provider organization, that

means they'll cover your doctor visit at different rates depending if that doctor is

in-network or not.

Whether you get health insurance through an HMO or a PPO, make sure you know whether your

doctor is in network and prepare to shell out accordingly.

If it's hard to figure out by googling, you can usually just call a doctor's office

and ask them if they can work with your insurance plan.

After you sign up for a health care plan, the company might require that you choose

a primary care provider.

Lucky you, we made a whole entire video for this already!

When you go to a clinic or hospital for any kind of care, you may need to break out your

wallet for a copayment, which is a fixed amount expected to be paid to the doctor's office

when the service is rendered.

So let's say that you've spent enough on health care this year that you meet the

cutoff for your deductible.

Awesome.

Insurance will cover everything now, right?

Well, not quite.

You might still need to pay coinsurance on any additional doctor's visits for that

year.

Coinsurance is usually a percentage of the bill, not a fixed amount.

Health insurance companies sometimes describe it as "your share of the costs of a health

service," because yay, don't we all love sharing.

So, we could go on about how healthcare works for a ridiculously long time.

But ultimately, the most important thing to understand about your health insurance plan

is—as much as you probably don't want to—pay attention.

Health insurance is weird and complicated and the companies themselves do not always

get everything right, and mistakes can happen when it comes to billing for claims.

Read your plan when you sign up, read the bills when they come in and make sure that

your insurer is covering everything they are supposed to pay for.

If you go to the doctor and then suddenly get a bill for a service you thought was covered,

do your research and be prepared to fight for what you deserve.

The best way to resolve a conflict over an insurance bill is usually to call up the company

and ask for a real live human to help you solve the problem.

Politeness goes a long way when dealing with insurance companies.

And remember, breathe deeply.

Episode 4: Portland Oregon - Here to Hear Tour - Duration: 9:36.

(upbeat music)

(rooster crowing)

- Good mornin', good mornin', good mornin'.

It's day four and we just left Portland, Oregon.

Sign language, let's recap what we learned yesterday.

Mosquito.

A very excited hello.

Cool.

What's up?

When?

This is where?

I realize I can't wag my finger very good,

you see the limited motion here?

I wouldn't be very good at being sassy.

(light music)

Where are we right now?

- Kennewick, Washington.

- Kennewick, Washington, we're gonna get some sushi,

we're taking care of some internet problems,

and then we're on our way to Washington State University.

The plant's dyin' on us a little bit.

We gotta make sure we don't let that plant die.

If you can keep a plant alive, then you can get a puppy,

if you can keep a puppy alive, then you can have a kid.

That's the way it works.

So if I let this plant die, man,

it does not bode well for my future.

This plant must live.

Cream cheese wontons.

For life.

I'm just gonna get a tattoo of a cream cheese wonton

on my chest.

Saw Justin handin' the camera to Mike,

- [Man] He did.

- So then I turned around.

So in my mind, I thought that meant

he was gonna be in the bathroom with me.

- [Man] I did go in there,

I washed my hands really quick.

- Oh, so then I'm at the urinal

and then I hear somebody come in and got into the stall.

So then after I finish up going pee

I look in the mirror and I notice

my sunglasses were pullin' my shirt down.

And I was like,"Oh, I didn't

realize I was showin' so much hair

"at the lunch table, so much chest hair."

And then nobody said anything back to me,

so I look in and I saw the guy was wearing a white shirt,

and I knew Justin's wearing a dark shirt,

and I'm like, ohhh shit, I ran out of the bathroom.

(upbeat music)

Hey Kirsten.

- Hi.

- What'd you go to college for?

- I got a degree in communication.

- I was gonna make a corny joke about,

that must be why you communicate so well.

And you wear hearing aids in both ears?

- Yeah I do, but my loss is like, mild to moderate.

It's not as profound as yours.

- Ah, rub it in why don't ya.

- No.

(laughing)

I wore them in college a little bit,

but not as much as I should have.

I would it always do it at the beginning of each semester

and then as soon as I got used to the teachers voice

and everything, I would just stop.

- What made you wanna take them out then?

Like, you said you got used to the teachers voice.

What was the impetus,

what was the motivation for not wearing them anymore?

- I don't know, I think that there is a stigma

and sometimes I don't even realize,

that I like, I don't know,

that it affects me.

Sometimes I just don't wanna deal with it.

Sometimes I don't wanna have to explain what's in my ear

and a lot of times people will be like,

"Well you don't sound like you have a hearing loss."

And I'm like, okay well, what do you want me to do,

prove it to you?

No, I'm not gonna do that, so.

- Yeah, you're either too deaf or not deaf enough.

- Right?

Exactly, no that's the thing for sure.

- What would you say is the main advice you would give

to somebody in college or university or high school,

with hearing loss.

- I would say, don't be afraid to get help,

even if you're really shy like I am.

I'm super shy and I don't like asking people for help.

But it's really important

because there's so many options out there.

And you can try something and it might not work,

but that doesn't mean you should give up.

Just keep trying and communicate

with whoever is helping you.

Your disability counselor or whoever it is.

- See you Kirsten.

- [Kirsten] Bye.

- Bye.

(vehicle honking)

Where are we?

I don't even know where we are.

Somewhere near Idaho,

or no, we're still in Washington,

but it looks very Idaho-like.

I'm getting worse Mike.

Fatigue is setting in.

This is perfect, look at how flat it is,

perfect for Aerobie.

I wanna throw this as far as I can

but I'm afraid I won't find it.

I know this sounds like I'm makin' excuses,

but I'm just not doin' what I'm used to doin'.

Here goes nothin', as far as I can, down this road.

Might be the last time we ever see this baby.

Love you Aerobie.

No, Aerobie, no!

I looked across the street for a second,

'cause Mike was comin' back in the truck,

and then I lost it.

Not leavin' without you Aerobie.

I've lost you before, I won't loose you again.

Feel like Brad Pitt, at the end of Seven.

I've had to loose the thing I love the most

in the middle of an empty field.

- [Brad] What's in the box?

- I love you Justin.

Let's go.

Don't ever leave me again.

I'm very embarrassed

by how I've been throwin' this so far,

I can't stress that enough.

All my friends back home

that know how much I love this

and how much pride I take in it,

they're gonna laugh at me.

(light music)

I knew that was gonna be checkmate at the beginning.

And then I forgot, because I thought about it too long.

Let's make sure Justin wins.

- [Both] Good game.

- I'm so glad we're documenting all my failures.

I can't throw a Frisbee.

I'm losing at chess.

How's it feel being on camera, instead of behind the camera?

- Uh, it's kind of weird.

- We're at WSU, Washington State University, WASU.

We were walking to do an interview right now

with the newspaper.

Let's tell the people that we were playing Frisbee

in the middle of nowhere, Jo's phone fell out of her pocket,

we were driving five minutes away, we drove back,

and Mike, the driver, found her phone in the middle

of like a cornfield, or whatever crap that was.

It was a miracle.

It was a great moment, probably the best moment

of the tour so far, the relief that we all felt.

We high fived.

We cried a little bit.

I put my leg up, I crossed it,

I'm going into full interview mode here.

I feel like I'm on 60 Minutes, or 20/20 or something.

This means I'm serious, once that leg gets crossed,

I'm all business.

- So I read in the press release

that you were on America's Got Talent.

How was that?

- It was fun, yeah it was great.

- What season?

- Last year.

Yeah, I lost to a juggler,

that's how I ended up getting kicked off.

But now I hate jugglers.

If you can put that, make sure everybody knows,

I got beef with jugglers, all jugglers.

- Do you have any advice for people who are wanting

to get into standup comedy, or any type of performance?

- Advice to people who want to get into standup comedy,

I would say don't do it, this is my turf, back off.

- [Interviewer] Do you have like a favorite dad joke?

- A favorite dad joke?

- [Interviewer] Yeah, like the super cheesy puns.

- Yeah, I do.

I really do.

A mushroom walks into a bar.

And the bartender says, hey hey hey,

we don't serve mushrooms here.

And the mushroom says, why not, I'm a fungi.

Huh, come on.

- [Interviewer] That's pretty quality.

- Pretty quality bad joke.

Fam, that's a pretty lit sign.

Six p.m.

I'm the comedian, yeah, it'll be fun.

Club auditorium.

- Alright, I've seen you before somewhere.

- Really?

- Yeah, I swear to God.

- Cool, well come see me again tomorrow night.

- [Student] What's your name?

- D.J.

- Nice to meet you D.J.

- What's your name?

- Sean.

- Josh?

- Sean.

- Oh John, nice to meet you man.

Tomorrow night, six o'clock, bring your friends?

- Where is it?

- Club auditorium.

- Awesome, sounds good.

- Cool, see you then man.

- [Man] I'm in slow motion mode,

so if you throw those up it'll be pretty slick.

- Let's do it.

(acoustic guitar music)

- [Man] Nice.

- This campus is one of

the more beautiful campuses you'll visit.

I've seen like campus, its plural should be campi.

Like fungus, fungi, cactus, cacti.

When I was in like 5th grade, I loved the Cries of Intrepid.

It had just come out.

And I loved it so much I was walking home

from school one day,

and somebody on my walk, some house had an Intrepid.

And I loved it, and I was a weird kid.

And I walked up, and I kissed the ground

that the Intrepid was on.

I kissed some random driveway, because I was like,

I love Intrepid.

So there's a funny story.

Day four.

And the crew loves each other more and more everyday.

I'm very excited for tomorrow man, it's the first show.

Watch, we're gonna get up on stage,

well I guess not we, me, I'm the only one up on stage.

So that's great.

Day five, finally, get up on stage,

here at WASU, WASU, Washington State University.

I'm wearing their colors, a nice fortunate coincidence.

So stay tuned for tomorrow.

It gets better everyday.

And I'm gonna start throwing the Aerobie better.

This is really embarrassing.

Learn How to Stop Chasing Money - Duration: 9:07.

How's it going everyone? This is Billy Keels with KeePon Cashflow and today I

want to talk to you, specifically if you are working in a corporate job.

For those of you specifically that are in sales or in management I want to talk

to you about a scenario this probably happened to you

many many times but more importantly talk to you about ways that you can set

yourself up and not have to always be worried about what's the next quarter

going to bring right because that's almost exclusively associated with money

coming in the door and what do I mean by that well recently I've talked to a good

friend of mine in this scenario is probably gonna sound very familiar right

the friend of mine had been called by by recruiter recruiter who was also in the

IT industry so of course you know that happens I'm sure you've had that call or

you've had that LinkedIn inbox mail that says hey listen come work for a company

X and they put the logo and you can make this amount of money and and they really

want your profile so that's a story that happens all the time

specifically with social media and the fact that if you're doing your job

properly they're always going to have somebody that's that's looking around it

so in a marriage similar and this happened to to a friend of mine so that

got us talking and the fact that that's probably happened to you before

immediately what starts going in your mind is how much more money can I make

versus what I'm making today to do something very similar if not the same

we're all just changing the company logo and that would have been okay except for

the fact that my friend sat down and realized that if he just kept looking at

you know exchanging his time for money then what would happen in you know 15

years when he was 65 years old or 60 years old trying to make a change to a

new job so he realized that this was going to go on this would go on forever

if he didn't just stop now fortunately the friend of mine we'd been speaking

before and it already had some some idea about not wanting to have to be in this

cycle for the rest of his life and because he had taken time before to sit

down the two of us sat down and and looked at you know what what was his

what was his projections like what were his goals his dreams what did he really

wanted to do before the retirement age and so this one against every single

thing that he had already known because one of the things that we talked about

was what keep on is actually able to do and so going through all of these

different options for his life or creating new alternatives for his life

in terms of income you know he went through everything he went through you

know number one you you're supposed to invest your money and your in your

pension plan or in mutual funds and or you you know you wanted definitely if

you're gonna do something else if you're gonna inherit a property you want to do

that in in Spain in this case and keep that property and also make sure that

you keep investing in the similar kind of currency right euros two euros so but

because he had already gone through all of these different emotions and had gone

through these different options he'd taken the time to to look at what

options actually work best for him to be able to create new sources of income and

because he'd done all of that work already when he got the recruiter call

this time of course he was seduced by hey listen we're gonna go and we're

gonna pay you more money and so maybe he listened to it this time but the fact of

the matter is when the recruiting process was going on he was able to

realize how happy he was in his current corporate role and he didn't have to

jump just because he was going to make more pre-tax earnings today right so he

went across you know he dealt with things that you don't normally have to

deal with you going against what he'd always been

taught to look at new types of alternatives and in ultimately making

decisions to create new streams of income for himself and the fact that

he'd done that he was able to make a very rational decision and whereas in

the past he may have just jumped for because he was able to make more money

but because his house is already in order he's able to look at new

opportunities new alternatives in a really holistic way so he's not just

chasing behind the euros or the dollars he's making the decisions that are the

best for him and for his family so you now he's living in a less

stressed environment he's making in making decisions on his terms

on his way and when he wants to do it and one of the things I always say is

he's able to sleep really well at night because he knows that he's not just

going to work for that one source of income and he is working for income that

is where he has other streams of income that are are paying him not just on

paper but are actually paying him so the reason that I want to share that with

you is because it's you know it is a liberating opportunity when you can make

decisions based on what is best for you what is best for your family not just

chasing the euros or just chasing the dollars and because this this friend of

mine we'd already gone through a very similar type of exercise one of the

things that I have started doing now and I'd like to offer to you is give you a

chance to also just create a base level of understanding of what new

opportunities you can create for yourself for your family but it's all

got to start with a basic understanding of a different asset class specifically

I mean for those of you that have been watching and following you know that I

love us real estate because of what it can do and in terms of creating the

lifestyle that you want because you're able to create income like cash flowing

income that you can actually touch and that's really important so what I've

done because I want to put you on a very similar path as I've been able to help

other people we'll now start to get them and I want

to provide you with a base level of understanding of how you can go out and

create returns with real estate how you can not only create returns with real

estate but also you can apply this type of model to other types of businesses

maybe you have maybe you're looking to start your own business but the fact of

the matter is is you can look at it in a in a very simple easy to look at format

that I've created for you and I'm gonna put it in this video so there's a

there's a four-part series or it's actual a little bit more than four parts

I think it's six parts in total but I'm gonna give you an overview of the

different ways that you can create returns in real estate and from that

overview once you see the overview you're gonna definitely want to go in

and do the step by step now I will tell you now that the step by step process

that you're gonna get and you're gonna get to keep it forever it's gonna cost

you some money it's a it's symbolic I guess more than anything else because if

you're out going to to lunch and dinner trust me you're gonna be more than able

to afford it and the reason I'm doing it at such an affordable price is I want

you to have access to this same type of information and data that helped me to

get started and it's gonna help you create new alternatives so like I said

you're not gonna be chasing behind the euros chasing behind the dollars because

you're gonna be investing in yourself and by investing in yourself you're

gonna create the opportunities you're going to create the alternatives for

your future so I'm gonna make it really really simple I'm gonna leave a link in

this video and I never know if their links are over here over here or down

here but what you're gonna want to do is click the link definitely click the link

get the overview of the different four ways that you can make returns and make

money this is the way you can make money in real estate and after you do that do

yourself a favor click on the next link and go ahead make the very small

investment to keep the videos they're yours forever and then we'll continue to

move forward I'm also wanting to hear what your feedback is after having

watched the videos because they're gonna be life changers they're gonna help you

create new alternatives for yourself we are not locked in just one single source

of income and with that I'm gonna leave it there

always continue to share these videos leave your comments you're really

helping the community to grow I appreciate your your investment your

time this is Billy keels it's my two cents for today as always hasta la

próxima
