You ask and we answer!
Hi! I'm Vaggelis Karadimas from vktoons and I welcome you to the new "You ask, we answer".
We have enough question today. The first is from Nikos Souvazis.
Which is the first European animated feature?
Officialy, the first European animated feature - the first in the world at the same time -
is Lote Reineger's "The adventures of Prince Ahmed".
But there is also this; If we accept as a fact that the co-production of Argentine and Italy of 1917
titled "El Apostle" indeed was 70 minutes long,
- the issue is that the film is lost, as far as I know -
then someone can claim that's the first european (even a co-production) animated feature.
But, in order to be "ok", secure and typical, we'll say that Reineger's feature is the first.
Chris in a discussion we had in facebook asks;
Who is Mentor (the "good one" and the "bad one")?
Mentor, according to Homer's epics, was Odysseus' trusted one left bak when he left Ithaca
when he went to the Trojan War.
Also, "Mentor" was the name of the ship with which Lord Elgin took the metopes and the other reliefs
from Parthenon and moved them - as swag - in England.
Finally, "Mentor" is the title of the animated movie Angelos Roucas and his team prepare
and it is exactly on the insident; to the stealth of the "Elgin's marbles" - as we wrongly learned
to refer to them - and its' move to England.
It's a movie which is on track and what we've watched until now is impressive.
I'll leave links in the description of the video. You MUST go and se what they're doing!
Now, two questions about "The Treasure at the roots of the Tree of Earth".
Babis asks; Is there a chance to watch the end of the series, apart from the changes?
And Demi asks; Will there be a role for me? Or should I beg for it?
The questions are about the series "The Treasure at the roots of the Tree of Earth" we started
some years now, it wasn't completed and the reason is clearly economic.
Right now things happen - I cannot yet be more specific - and it is possible to sart producing
with different design for the characters, the scenery etc.
If this time we manage to move with it, we'll do it with professional actors, the best of their kind here
Demin, you got thew point, didn't you?...
and of course this time we'll complete it, you'll watch the entire story.
But always, it is first a matter of economics.
Another question for the "Treasure", of technical nature this time.
Chris asks; Did you loop the eyes with tweens?
The blinking of Anthos' eyes you watch here
was done using "actions" of Anime Studio Pro.
So, we talk about automated moves in a digital puppetry software.
Besides, that's how the series was created, with these standards and that's how we'll do it again
so to be able to say that it will be completed some time.
If we did it the traditional way, it would be very difficult to do that!
That's all for this week. If you liked the episode, give it a "thumbs up" here on YouTube,
and share it to your social media accounts.
We expect your questions on animation
no matter if it is about a foreign production, a Greek production or what vktoons does!

That's all for this week. New "You ask and we answer" next Monday! Until then, cheers!
