Waching daily May 16 2017

Hey!

What's going on, guys?

This is Reckles with WTBGold, and today we're going out to Zangarmarsh to farm us up some

Primal Life!

Oi!

M8, shaddap!

Nobody cays about old conTENT!

DISLIKED!

Hey, Dave, what's goin on?

So, that's actually a good thing for us.

As a gold maker, you want to find markets that no one cares about.

You don't want to do the pop gold making method that everyone else is doing.

With Primals, there's no competition, so you have a monopoly.

You can set the price, and I've had them sell for upwards of 1000 gold per primal, so you

can make a ton of gold with very little here, AND you can make a lot of gold with crafted

transmog from it too.

All the green burning crusade crafted stuff are made with Primal Life.

Primal life is green, so it makes green stuff.

You get it.

But there's about 200,000-300,000 gold for each crafting profession just in transmog

pieces.

But, now that you know it's valuable, let's actually do the guide.

So, Primal Life is made from motes.

You get 10 motes of life and turn them into a primal life.

To farm the motes of life we're going to go to the Underbog.

This is in Zangarmarsh, in Outlands.

And it's the underbog instance location is right in the middle of this lake.

There's a steam vent thing.

Mana release valve.

I don't know the lore on it.

It was a long time ago.

But, we're gonna swim down through this tunnel.

There are four instances once we get through there.

The one on the left is Steamvaults, then Slave Pens.

Right in the middle is Serpentshrine Caverns.

And then on the far right is the Underbog.

We're gonna set it to heroic.

We're gonna go inside.

And pretty much, we're gonna gather everything up.

Run past the first boss, and then kill everything.

Now, there are underbog lurkers, underbog stalkers.

There's bog giants and then there's these nether ray things.

Everything drops motes of life except for the nether rays.

They have a 20% chance to drop 2.5 motes each, so blah blah blah math, you're gonna get about

1 primal for every 20 enemies you kill in here.

We gather up about 30 enemies per run.

You can expect between 1 Primal and 3 Primals per lap.

Now, that's all you really need to know to farm this stuff, but this dungeon in particular

actually has really cool history when it comes to world of warcraft gold making.

Back in Lich King there was this big rise in botting.

Gold sellers became an industry.

What they'd do is use the recruit a friend level grant to just instantly get up new characters

to level 80.

They'd take the toons to this dungeon and they'd just run this lap over and over and

over.

And a level 80 paladin tank could pretty easily solo this stuff.

You could program the run path.

And they didn't make a ton of gold, but when you have 100, 200 accounts getting 500 gold

an hour, you end up with a lot of gold.

So, this dungeon is actually why we had the massive gold nerf of patch 4.0.

Dungeon and raid bosses stopped giving the same amount of loot no matter how many people

were in the party.

Gold and grey drops got cut down to like 30% of what they used to be.

So, I think that's neat that this dungeon was so easily farmable that it killed raw

gold farming back in the day.

Only other thing you should know is you can get a lot of sporeggar rep here.

There are little flaming hibiscus on the ground and there's a little guy at the end of the

instance that you turn 5 in at a time.

You'll normally get 3 quest turn ins per lap, and sporeggar sells a really awesome tank

shield and also alchemy patterns and tailoring patterns.

Actually, I think it's just a bag that's a small bag, so tailors, forget I said anything.

You don't need to go here.

So, that's it.

Open your crafting profession, search for primal life, and see what all you can currently

craft, what patterns you don't have learned yet, and then just make 1 of eveything and

throw it up on the auction house for whatever it's worth using tradeskillmaster.

If you need help learning tradeskillmaster, I put a guide out a week or two ago on that.

So, that's it.

Thank you for watching.

I hope this helped.

And I'll see

you guys later.

Will We Be On YouTube In 5 Years?! | Chatty GRWM ft. @justcallmewah - Duration: 9:57.

- Hey YouTube world, it's me Evelyn.

We're here in Palm Springs with,

- Wahima, but just call me Wah.

- Melanated! We are going to collab.

We are going to get ready with me.

We're gonna GRWM, We're gonna GRWM,

and we're gonna talk about stuff.

I don't really bring much stuff with me when I travel.

So really all I have to put on my face is a sunscreen.

(laughs)

Are you seeing this?

- I'm gonna start out with Angel Veil primer

by Nyx cause I've just been

the most greasy in this forehead area.

- Tell us about you.

(laughs)

- Okay, my channel is, originally was a beauty channel

called Dark-Skinned Divas, I saw that there was a space

that needed to be filled by darker skinned black women

on YouTube who are proud of being dark-skinned,

and who didn't see makeup and dark skin

as like a little bit of a challenge.

Find brands and do things.

- Chapstick.

(laughs)

- I'm not, I just, okay, then I decided

that I had so much more to say, 'cause I'm an actress.

Alright, so I started adding social,

social issues and current event issues to my channel.

- Ooh what's that?

- Oh, this is Cover FX.

(laughs)

- Translucent powder, it's a trick I got from Jackie Aina,

because I'm like extra, extra oily in this forehead.

- So I'm just using the Glossier skin tint

in "Rich", which is the darkest color.

People always ask what my skin care routine is.

They never ask what makeup I'm wearing, just my skin care.

- This is Laura Mercier cushion,

and this is in the color "555 Suede C",

it's the darkest one, it's the miracle cushion.

- Do you see yourself still being on YouTube in five years?

- Yes and no, but I would hope to get to a place

where I'm making money on YouTube, or making a little money.

It's not my ultimate goal to be a YouTuber forever.

I wanna be an actress, so creating this channel

is something that has allowed me to showcase

the many different sides of me,

without shutting myself into a box,

that happens a lot to actors.

- Do you tell people, do people

on your YouTube channel know how old you are?

- I think some of them do, but I think some of them

willfully choose to like ignore it

when I tell them how old I am.

- So when we talk about "In five years

"will you still be doing Youtube?"

Do you wanna tell people how old you will be in five years?

- Oh yes, so the answer, when I think about that

in reference to my age, hell no.

(laughs)

Like it's a, like no!

(laughs)

I will be 35 in October, so in five years

I will be 39, 40 son so.

- Melanin! Come through!

(laughs)

- No shade to the women who are 40 who are on YouTube,

but I'm like, I'm sure they're a lot further along

in their career or their lives,

and I'm at a place where like,

I need my career to be fruitful.

- Oh we're on brows, we're on brows okay.

- And I just started, oh yeah,

for my brows I'm using this Milani EasyBrow.

If you follow me you know this is like what I use, right.

- What color is it?

- This is in Dark Brown.

- Okay, Nyx Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown.

- If I am on YouTube, I need to be in a place where

I am influencing and/or commanding a certain price.

(laughs)

- Okay, alright so we're just doing

a little bit of eyebrow illustration.

Some of us more than others, you know what I'm saying.

She got way more brows than I.

What do you consider success on YouTube,

and what do you consider failure on YouTube?

- I don't consider anything failure on YouTube,

'cause I feel like if you're actually really trying

to do something, you will do it.

I think if you really put everything into YouTube,

you won't "fail" unless your idea is to become

someone who is completely sustained off of YouTube,

and makes like, I mean I don't know,

but like I watch a lot of YouTubers,

and nobody will actually say how much they make.

Especially the ones who like, don't do that much.

(laughs)

- They just, you see the vlog "I'm moving out!"

- And like are you making $10,000 a month?

'Cause that's what I, like you know,

like are you making $10,000 a month?

Like I wouldn't move out from my roommate situation

if I was only making $5,000 a month from YouTube.

I mean, not to say that that's not a lot of money, it is.

- You wouldn't? Well I would!

- The people who I think are able to do that

have other things going on.

- L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in the color,

girl I don't know, it's lighter than me tho.

- I have that too, but mine's "Dark Cocoa".

- Oh, something we also have in common

is we are, I don't know if we're team dayjob,

but we're team "we got dayjobs".

- Yeah, I'm just kind of doing that,

but also with the understanding that like,

my first sort of, priority right now is YouTube,

because that is the medium that I'm using to...

- Propel yourself.

- Propel myself forward.

It's almost like, I just want my own variety show.

'Cause like I am an actor, but like I have things to say,

and like, I wanna be known as somebody,

like ya know, dare I say like mini Oprah.

- Got your own magazine, don't nobody else

be on the cover of your magazine but you.

(laughs)

So do you think having a dayjob, #dayjob,

prevents you from experiencing like,

the burnout that YouTubers so often like come on camera

and they're like "Y'all I'm just

"not inspired anymore, I'm just feeling."

- Oh no, I experienced a burnout like all the time.

- 'Cause it's like, you have to do both things?

- Yeah, I'm using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.

- I'm using eyeliner that,

the label rubbed off I don't know, I don't know.

But it's one of my favorites, I like it.

- It's a good one. It's a good one I like it.

I gotta keep myself motivated,

it's my job to stay motivated,

and before I would try to get my motivation from like

other online people, like "Oh what is, what tag is popular?

"I'll just do a tag real quick."

And then like even then I feel like,

I'm like "Sellout! Sellout."

- Sellout? Who a sellout?

- Like I feel a little, me, when I do tags.

- Oh!

(laughs)

Like it's a copout.

- Copout! Yeah sorry wrong word.

- Okay, I was like "Who a sellout?

"What's the tea girl? Ooh tell me the tea girl."

- The Nubian Pallette by Juvia's Place.

- Okay, I don't know how to do this without tugging my eye,

so sorry, yes I know it encourages wrinkles.

- The problem is that I don't consider myself a writer,

and I'm having to be writer, producer, and director.

I don't consider myself a writer, producer, or director.

I consider myself an actor.

- That's fascinating because I love being behind the camera

more than in front of the camera.

People assume when you're on YouTube, your goal

is to be a YouTuber, like to have that be your job.

I'm using some concealer that I don't know the name of it.

This is why I'm not a beauty guru.

"Hey everybody it's me, I'm here with

"a Bed Bath & Beyond haul!"

(laughs)

Like that's not, that's not what I'm trying to do.

I just wanna make cool stuff, and it just so happens that

I only have access to people via YouTube.

So I'm using this Hikari Luster Shimmer Bronzer.

I'm gonna use this dark one as whatever this is called.

What is it when you like...

- Highlight.

- Yes, but I think you put it like that,

and then you just like blend it.

- Yeah. Oh I didn't put eyeliner on.

- Do you have small eyes? You don't need eyeliner.

I feel like when you have big eyes,

(laughs)

you need a lil' something something

to bring it back down to earth.

For me, success on YouTube, I feel,

I feel like I already...

- Have it? Yeah.

- Have it. And they watch the videos.

And they comment on things, and I see them

out in real life sometimes, and even though I'm shady

and I don't do meetups, y'all still like me for some reason.

(laughs)

Black girl beauty brand nude,

it's called Mented, and it's a lipstick company

that makes nudes for melanated people.

So no more ashy, donut dust lips.

- Donut dust.

(chuckles)

- Dope Taupe, and it's basically the color of my lip.

But yeah, I don't know if I'll be on YouTube in five years.

Am I on YouTube now?

(laughs)

So I'm going to finish things off with my perfume,

which is, this is my favorite perfume,

Hi Wildflower Lovers Rock.

I like smelling like an old Jamaican man, I don't know.

(laughs)

- K, I'm gonna put this blush on,

and this is a mineralized blush,

it's Love Thing it's by MAC.

And then I was gonna do this purple lip.

- Ooh!

It's a Milani, it's Matte Glam,

and it's from last spring and I love it.

Then after that I have one more move, and that's gonna be my

Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Spray.

You want some? Spray it.

- Yeah.

- Setting Spray.

- Okay.

- Ready? Go.

(groans)

- So YouTube, man. I'm here, ya know.

And when I'm not here, I'm not.

- As with most things, you know what I'm saying

in the world,

when they are here, they're here.

When they're not, they're elsewhere.

- So, and that's a pretty color.

- Thank you!

- That is pretty color. Yes! Ooh Yes!

(laughs)

I feel like we're, let's luxuriate for a second.

- Okay.

- Let's look at, yeah. Angles, angles.

Oh we gotta do the look-down, you right.

- It's casual, it's a casual look-down.

It's like, it's like a back and then it's like "Hi".

(chuckles)

- And where can people find you on the internets?

- People can find me @justcallmewah on Twitter,

on Instagram, and on YouTube and Facebook,

so just call me Wah.

- Awesome.

- And then go to our next video

that's gonna be us getting unready tonight.

- Oh yeah!

- And I'm gonna make her do all of my skin care.

It's like half Korean, half Wahima skin care.

(laughs)

- What, what do we want them to tell us?

- Where you would like to see us in five years?

Is that weird?

- Oh no.

- Like where would you follow us in five years?

- Yeah, where would you, where would you

want to see us in five years?

I feel like we have very supportive,

like internet cousins, ya know?

- Yeah.

- The internet is a really trash place,

and y'all are so not trash, it's magical.

Like I don't understand where y'all came from.

So, in the comments below let us know

where you see us in five years.

She'll be 40 I don't know how that is, how that happens.

I'll be 30 in...yeah I'll be 31 in five years.

Alright, we'll see you on the internet somewhere, bye!

- Bye.

[music]

My philosophy about patient care is that the needs of the patient come foremost and are

the most important so I want to always keep the needs of the patient at the center of my thoughts.

There's lots of things we can offer patients but that doesn't mean that any particular procedure,

any particular device, any particular treatment, any particular drug, is the right drug for the right patient.

We have to treat patients with respect, we have to treat patients with empathy but also

have to always make sure that we are doing what is in their best interest.

I do all clinical and research things related to cardiovascular electrophysiology.

I am mostly interested in catheter based procedures as well as medical treatment of arrhythmias,

that are heart rhythm problems in patients, that falls within heart disease.

Catheter based procedures could include things like catheter ablation procedures

to map and treat ablate arrhythmias.

Medical treatment obviously includes medications and taking care of patients in the hospital

as well as in the outpatient setting.

The other big part of my clinical practice involves using or implanting devices.

So device based therapies, for example, pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization

therapy devices for patients with heart failure and so forth.

Another part of my practice is treating patients who are at risk of cardioembolic strokes or

blood clot related strokes generating from blood clots in the heart.

That can happen in patients with conditions like atrial fibrillation.

We have various techniques and tools to treat these including using blood thinners as a

catheter based procedures to ligate off the electrical appendage, which is the source

of these blood clots that can be removed from circulation using catheter techniques.

The favorite thing is the feeling you get, the satisfaction you get, by getting a patient

through maybe a procedure or even medical treatment and getting them to deal with their heart rhythm disorder.

Doing procedures is very gratifying, especially in cardiovascular electrophysiology, because

you can make a difference in somebody who is beset with arrhythmia issues then these

can be young patients, old patients, patients who have other structural heart disease,

heart failure, or born with congenital heart disease or people with otherwise a completely normal

heart and they have palpitations, they might be light-headed, they have these episodes

where they're not feeling very well, maybe feeling fatigued and tired, bad quality of

life and you do a procedure and cure them of their arrhythmia and suddenly, they have a new life.

So that's very gratifying.

What I've heard from some of the patients who have been very gracious in their appraise,

what they've appreciated is that I've explained to them, some of the patients who've

had multiple procedures and have been in various offices and various hospitals, they come back

and say "wow, you are the first one who really explained it to me.

You really broke it down for us as a family, for me as a patient and now I really understand

what's going on and how this procedure or this medicine, how that's really going to

take care of the situation for me.

Small Details That Only Die-Hard Harry Potter Fans Understand - Duration: 10:02.

The Harry Potter books and films have been combed through by everyone who wished they'd

gotten a Hogwart's acceptance letter on their 11th birthdays.

But there are some details in the movies that only die-hard Potter fans could really pluck

out.

Here are some Harry Potter Easter eggs that only bona fide members of Dumbledore's Army

would've caught.

Snape's coded message

It took a long time for Harry Potter to figure out that Professor Snape wasn't actually out

to get him and make his stay at Hogwarts miserable.

If he was a star student of language like his pal Hermione, though, he might've been

able to unlock the Half-Blood Prince's true intentions long before he got a screening

of Snape's memories through Dumbledore's Pensieve in the final chapter.

In the Sorcerer's Stone, Snape challenges Harry:

"Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"

The moment seems like a check on Harry's sudden star status as the big man on campus, but

in retrospect, superfans have always found a little more weight to those words.

See, asphodel is actually a member of the lily family and can invoke the phrase "my

regrets follow you to your grave".

Meanwhile, wormwood is literally defined as something "bitter or grievous."

This has led many to believe that Snape was really just telling Mister Potter that he

was bitterly regretful of his mother, Lily, passing away.

Given the fact that he loved her most of his life and clutched her corpse in agony the

day he discovered The Boy Who Lived, that makes a lot of sense, then, doesn't it?

So much seven

Harry Potter's number on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team is seven, and it's no accident: he's

the seventh of Voldemort's horcruxes, after all, and there are seven books in the series.

So the filmmakers went to painstaking efforts to include the fabled numerology throughout

the series, whether you noticed it or not.

There are a ton of things that just so happened to add up to seven throughout the movies,

like the headcount on snakes that line the door to the Chamber of Secrets, the number

of players on each Quidditch team, the number of children in the Weasley family, and the

number of Harry Potters that are made from the Order of the Phoenix to disguise the real

deal.

Looks like seven really was Harry's lucky number...

Deathly Hallows everywhere

Speaking of visual iconography, the movies also made a point of flashing the sign of

the Deathly Hallows during pivotal scenes as well.

For example, in the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore gazes upon his collection of artifacts in

his office, and they're arranged in such a way as to give us a wink to the triangle-circle-line

symbol that would represent the Cloak of Invisibility, the Resurrection Stone, and the Elder Wand

later on in the story.

Another example comes in Deathly Hallows: Part 2, when Harry, feeling bad about Dobby's

death, looks in the shard of mirror the house elf had in his possession.

The lens of his glasses and a streak of glare create the symbol for a split second as well,

seemingly reminding him of his mission to destroy Voldemort's horcruxes.

Fans could launch a full-scale Easter egg hunt to find all the other nods to this paramount

piece of symbolism because it's been scattered throughout the film series in small moments

such as these.

Trelawney's prophecies

Hermione Granger didn't care much for Divination, but Professor Trelawney's prophecies did turn

out to be astonishingly accurate, even when she seemed her kookiest.

The one that most people point to as prescient in retrospect is from the books.

At one point, she declined a dinner invitation in Prisoner of Azkaban because twelve people

were already seated and thirteen is unlucky.

The theory then was that the first person to rise from a table of 13 would be the first

to die, and, as fate would have it, Sirius Black stood first from a table of such number

in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

And yes, he died first.

But it takes an especially keen sensibility to ferret out that her birthday claim about

Harry was also ultimately on point, even though it seemed way off at the time.

In the same chapter in Prisoner of Azkaban, she said she thought he was born in midwinter,

but he answered that his birthday was actually in July.

However, Voldemort's birthday was New Year's Eve, and since Harry had a piece of Voldemort

lodged in his soul after surviving the attack on his family, well, she was kinda right then,

wasn't she?

Plus, of course, she totally called it when she said...

The chocolate frog bookend

There's a small wink to Harry's first journey on the Hogwarts Express contained in the very

last scene of Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

During Harry's first ride, when he initially befriended Ron Weasley, he'd used his new

pocket full of Gringotts galleons to buy "the lot" of treats on the trolley.

It didn't take long for he and Ron to stuff their faces with all the bewitched goodies

they could stomach.

One of the chocolate frogs, however, got away and hopped through the window, which wasn't

so much of a problem for Ron since he was more interested in collecting the character

cards that came with them anyway.

In the final film, as Harry and Ginny's children board the same train with Ron and Hermione's

kids, the chocolate frog returns to the window as a nod to the start of a new story — this

time, with boy wizard Albus Severus Potter unknowingly beginning his journey as the Cursed

Child.

Voldemort was in Hogwarts the whole time

In the film version of Prisoner of Azkaban, there's a moment when the students are walking

through the staircase when an unexpectedly familiar face pops up in a portrait: Lord

Voldemort.

It's a blurred and fairly quick pass-by situation, but that's gotta be him–a Nosferatu-like

bald wizard in flowing black capes reaching out to the students that pass him by in his

menacing way.

If it seems odd that Voldemort's portrait would be included in the halls of Hogwarts,

that's because it is odd.

Not only was he dubbed "He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named" by everyone and kept far, far away from the

mainstream wizarding community, but Ralph Fiennes hadn't yet arrived as the character.

It'd be a whole 'nother installment — The Goblet of Fire — before he'd show up.

Foreshadowing much?

Dial 6-2-4-4-2 for magic

In Order of the Phoenix, Harry is called to the Ministry of Magic to have a disciplinary

hearing before the Wizengamot after producing his Patronus to save himself and cousin Dudley

from a Dementor while in the Muggle realm.

Mr. Weasley accompanies Harry to the hearing and takes Harry into a telephone box to get

access to the Ministry.

In the book, he narrates the number he's dialing to get through as 6-2-4-4-2.

On a traditional telephone like that one, the letters would be arranged on the keypad

as well and those digits just so happen to spell "M-A-G-I-C."

There's no chance that was a coincidence.

Hedwig's theme

The score to the Harry Potter film series has become quite an earworm since the films

were released, unmistakably belonging to the series forevermore.

The introductory music has been titled "Hedwig's Theme," but the character who actually played

the music during the movie was Hagrid.

In the first film, he plays the melody on his flute as Harry, Ron, and Hermione all

rush up to him for critical information on their latest meanderings around the school

grounds.

Maybe it should've been called "Hagrid's Theme" instead?

Aberforth's bar

There's a scene in The Order of the Phoenix when Harry, Ron, and Hermione duck out of

Hogwarts to formulate Dumbledore's Army at Hogsmeade.

When they hit up the Hog's Head, a local bar, for some private planning, they find that

there's just one other person there: a bartender lurking in the dark.

And he's got a goat.

Only J.K.

Rowling's most faithful DA members would have recognized that this was an early glimpse

of Albus Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth...who was obsessed with goats.

And owned a bar.

That establishment would later come into play again in Deathly Hallows: Part 2 when the

trio tries to sneak back into Hogwarts during another troublesome Headmaster switcheroo

moment–this time, with Aberforth arriving to lend a hand.

Opening at the close

There's a lot that can be read into the Snitch's inscription that so famously read "I open

at the close."

The most obvious interpretation is that, when Harry kisses it in Deathly Hallows, it opens

itself up to present him with the Resurrection Stone so he can have a pep talk with his long-lost

loved ones before sacrificing himself to Voldemort to fulfill his part of the prophecy.

He got it in the first book, when he started this journey, and it opened at the close.

Simple enough, right?

What should really get the eyebrows raising, though, is the fact that Rowling published

the first book back in 1997, when the events of Deathly Hallows took place.

So, it's also a statement that symbolizes the entire franchise as a whole.

It literally opens at the close.

Is this all in Harry's head?

One of the grimmest fan theories associated with the Harry Potter books and films is the

idea that everything magical about Harry's life outside of 4 Privet Drive was just a

cruel fiction of his overactive imagination.

The idea behind this one is that Harry, who was a tortured orphan and was made to live

in the closet under the stairs by his cruel aunt and uncle, created this fictional reality

as a coping mechanism for his circumstances.

And in the final installment, there's a momentary wink to that very possibility — and a possible

acknowledgment that it may be right on the money after all.

After Harry has died by Voldemort's wand and wakes up in a dreamy version of King's Cross

Station, he meets with Dumbledore, who gives him the option to stay in the living realm

or go onto the beyond.

Harry asks Dumbledore if this is in his head and Dumbledore answers like so:

"Is this all real, or is it just happening inside my head?"

"Of course it's happening inside your head, Harry.

Why should that mean that it's not real?"

To fans looking for confirmation of that theory, there's really only one possible response:

"And bloody hell!"

[music]

We've all heard of eight-mile in Detroit because of Eminem.

I grew up on six-mile, a couple of miles away but a little bit more into the city

and I was born on six-mile, lived on six mile my whole life.

My mother, I think, was the one that convinced me at an early age

that I wanted to become a physician.

Maybe brainwashing – left me a doctor's bag for a Christmas present

but I think I owe it to my mother and her encouragement over the years.

I did all of my training in Detroit initially and then went to Milwaukee where I studied

general surgery and did my heart surgery training at Stanford in California.

I also spent some time at Oxford in England doing vascular surgery.

But immediately when I finished my training is when I came to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

It's where the opportunity was, the best hospital in the country that I could imagine

I could work at and it's just been really an honor to be here for the last 20 years.

Being a cardiac surgeon is fun.

Its exciting work, every day is a new adventure.

Whether it's meeting patients in the clinic for the first time to try to come up with

a treatment plan or the endpoint of trying to fix a valve interoperatedly with a new

technique that I may have learned at a conference that we attended.

The care of a cardiac surgery patient is multifaceted.

Preoperative medical assessment, intraoperative care and probably, most importantly,

is the postoperative care.

Getting the patient back to the level of activity that they desire.

You know students come to me and ask me is cardiac surgery a good field to go into because

it's safe and stable.

I think they're looking at the wrong focus – I think it needs to be exciting.

I look forward to change.

There's lesser invasive ways to do procedures.

We can do procedures now through the groin without having to crack open a chest and that's

just exciting, so I really look forward to the future and the many changes that are coming

in the next 20 years I'm in practice.

About 2-3 years ago, I got a call from the emergency room that there was

a patient with an aortic dissection.

Fairly routine, we do a number of those here.

However, she happened to be 8 months pregnant, she was a patient with Marfan syndrome

who had a life-threatening aortic dissection and we had to take the patient to the

operating room immediately to save her life as well as the baby.

Throughout the operation we had one of the OB nurses there with a monitor there

on the stomach just at the ready.

There was a nurse in the corner with OB equipment, which is probably the biggest surgical instruments

your could ever imagine, compared to our little teeny things where we're working on the heart

but she was ready to go at a moment's notice if that baby needed to be delivered.

We were able to get her through the surgery and within two days, she was with her baby,

sitting, recuperating from the surgery, so it was very exciting for me.

I think the secret to patient care is truly caring for the patient and although I may

not hold the patients hand in the preoperative area or hold it in the postoperative area,

from the minute I meet them, the focus is to have them develop their own treatment plan

and be comfortable with that treatment plan.

The worst thing you can have is a patient going into surgery saying

I'm not sure this is the right decision.

If they say that, it's not the right decision.

You need to re-evaluate from the beginning – whether it's medical therapy, interventional

therapy or surgical therapy, we want that to be the patient's decision moving forward

so that they can feel comfortable about what they're going to have done.

Top 5 CREEPIEST Pokemon Origins - Duration: 8:19.

Hey guys, HDvee here.

Now, we all love Pokemon, those amazing little creatures with special powers that really

made our childhoods what they were.

However, have you ever stopped and wondered how the good old people at Gamefreak actually

come up with their idea for the Pokemon they create?

Of course, most of the time it's through really cool, imaginative ideas that the creators

come up with.

However, something that you may not know though, is that some of these Pokemon actually have

really creepy backstories and origins that really send a shiver down your spine.

With that being said, today's video takes a look at the Top 5 Creepiest Pokemon Origins.

Don't hesitate to drop a comment down below about the video and if you found it interesting

or not!

Don't forget to leave a like on this video too to show your support and I'll be sure

to bring out a new video very shortly.

Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already to keep up to date and follow my twitter to

hear updates about the channel.

Now, without further ado, let's get into the video and I really hope that you enjoy!

Starting things off and claiming the number five spot in today's top five video is Mawile.

Where did Game Freak get the idea for a magical version of Japan swarming with bizarre supernatural

monsters?

From Japan itself.

The country's folklore is infested with "yokai", creepy crawly monsters that come in hundreds

of sizes and shapes.

One popular yokai story is of "Futakuchi-onna" or "the two-mouthed woman".

Once upon a time, a miserly farmer was overjoyed with his new wife because she miraculously

never needed to eat, saving him a bunch of money.

However, as the weeks went on he noticed that his grain supplies were getting dangerously

low.

It wasn't until one horrifying night that he awoke to find his wife asleep, but a second

mouth on the back of her head was voraciously devouring his food stores.

Tendrils of hair continuously fed the mouth more and more rice, eating him out of house

and home.

Mawile is absolutely a reference to this story, sporting a demure gaze and one nightmarish

mullet.

So as you can see, Mawile's creepy backstory definitely deserves a place on this list and

so, takes the number five spot for today's top five video.

Coming in at the number four spot in today's top five video is Absol.

According to Chinese legend, the Yellow Emperor Huang Di was on patrol near the East Sea when

he encountered Bai Ze, a magnificent beast with a flowing white mane, large horns, and

several eyes.

The monster taught the Emperor about the secrets of the supernatural world and how to defeat

thousands of types of supernatural beings.

The myth of this mysterious white creature spread to Japan as well in the form of the

kutabe, which appeared before a village to successfully warn them of a coming plague.

This definitely fits Absol's pokedex entries, which talk about its habit of emerging from

the wilderness to inform humans of oncoming disasters.

Take a look at the dark spot in the center of Absol's head and tell me that's not supposed

to be where the third eye opens.

For all of these reasons, the origin of Absol should definitely be on this list and so,

takes the number four spot in today's top five video.

Coming in at the halfway point in today's top five video is Whiscash.

Whiscash is a Water and Ground type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

It is a large blue catfish with long fleshy whiskers and a big yellow "W" on it's

forehead.

According to its Pokédex entry, Whiscash love to both predict and cause earthquakes.

Whiscash is based upon the Namazu a breed of mystical catfish that are said to cause

earthquakes.

It is said that the Namazu were a punishment for mankind's greed and the only thing stopping

them from destroying all of Japan was the presence of the Shinto god Kashima.

There is an unaired episode of the anime, focused on Whiscash, called "Shaking Island

Battle!

Dojoach vs Namazun!!"

It was originally due to be broadcast in October of 2004; this was around the time of the Chūetsu

earthquakes in Japan, in which 68 people were killed.

Out of sensitivity, this episode has never been broadcast anywhere.

Whiscash's origin is definitely something you wouldn't expect to see in a Pokemon

game and so, takes the number three spot in today's top five video.

Coming in at the number two spot in today's top five video is Parasect.

Parasect is based upon one of the most disturbing organisms in all of the nature, the cordyceps.

Cordyceps are a form of parasitic mushroom.

Unlike the mushroom that Vileplume is based upon, which kills other plants to feed itself,

the Cordyceps takes over the bodies of living insects in order to breed.

When an ant comes into contact with the spores of the Cordyceps, the plant quickly infects

the ant's body and mind, turning it into a thrall for its own use.

The ant then grows large mushrooms out of its body.

After draining all the nutrients from the host body it can, the mushroom uses the ant's

body to climb to the highest point it can and release all of the spores as it can, continuing

the terrifying cycle.

Now, Parasect is one of the original 151 Pokémon.

When you consider all of the different animals who did not get used until later generations

such as Bears, Owls, Sheep and all that, why on earth did the cordyceps skip to the front

of the list?

It seems that back in the '90s, Satoshi Tajiri felt that a nightmarish zombie mushroom/ant

combo was just the thing his new video game needed.

For the sole reason of how terrifying Parasect is, it takes the number two spot in today's

top five video.

Finishing things off though and claiming the number one spot in today's top five video

is Sableye.

Sweet, a Pokemon based on a myth that isn't of Japanese origin!

Sableye is probably one of the most bizarre-looking pocket monsters: a purple imp with jewels

for eyes that looks positively alien.

That's intentional, because it was inspired by the Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter, one of

the most famous extraterrestrial sightings of the 20th century.

If you live in Kentucky, you should keep an eye out for this little guy.

While most aliens are described as little bald men with big black eyes and tiny nostrils,

the Hopkinsville Goblin is said to have pointy ears, bright glowing eyes, and no nose whatsoever.

It's not just one random person saying this, either; the appearance of the Hopkinsville

Goblin has been brought up by multiple eyewitnesses, which are all alleged, of course.

The Hopkinsville Goblin is said to have silver skin, not purple, but the rest of the similarities

to Sableye are too strong to ignore.

I'm a big fan of extraterrestrial beings though, and so when I found out about Sableye's

origin, it just had to go at the top of my list.

For all of these reasons, Sableye takes the number one spot in today's top five video.

But with that, wraps up this video.

I really hope you enjoyed it as much as i did making it!

If you did enjoy the video though, please leave a like i'd really appreciate it!

Like i said at the start of the video, I would also love to hear your guys opinions too on

this subject so be sure to leave them in the comment section below.

I have a couple top fives coming onto your screen in a second so be sure to give them

a watch if you have the time, and also subscribe if you like my content!

That's everything from me though so thanks for watching guys, have an amazing day, and

i'll see you, in the next video!
