If you've been playing with polymer clay for any amount of time you might have

tried using it with alcohol inks, depending on the brand and the colors

you chose you might have been disappointed in the results when it came

out of the oven. Today I'm going to show you how you can find out exactly what to

expect when you bake alcohol inks. Hi there, Sandy here, welcome to another

Friday findings video at keepsakecrafts.net.

So I have been playing with Ranger alcohol inks for years. I first came

across them when I was doing scrapbooking and I saw Tim Holtz doing

amazing techniques with them and I just fell in love, and then when I started

doing a lot more in polymer clay I discovered you can use these with that,

too, and I just have been having a lot of fun,

but I often found myself frustrated. Many of you know I love purple and I tried

so hard to make purple things with these inks and they never worked out. Just a

couple weeks ago I did a video on the Pinata alcohol inks and the Lumiere

paints that are made by the same company, Jacquard, and I realized that I really

needed to make the same sort of test samples for the Ranger inks as I did for

the Pinatas. Considering my frustration with some of the colors I really wasn't

all that surprised with the results. So I own 25 colors in the Ranger alcohol inks

and what I have here is a sample of each color of ink just dropped on to clear

plastic. This is actually a 12 by 12 scrapbook page protector with a 12 by 12

piece of white paper inside that I divided into two inch sections this way,

so the they're six, and two and a half inch sections this way so there's four, with

an extra two inches at the top for writing things and such. So I've got 24

spaces here and then the white is at the top. This explains why I never could get

purple. I've got these purple colors: Purple Twilight, Eggplant and Wild Plum,

and notice that none them baked up to look anything like what

they look like just dropped out of the bottle and not baked. You can kind of get

a hint of what they're going to look like by what they look like once mixed

in with the clay. What I have here is the ink dropped out of the bottle, a bit of

the clay that's not baked and then this is a sample... whoops, this is a sample of

Pardo translucent clay rolled on the thinnest setting of the pasta machine...

those little blue dots are strong... but it's rolled out on the thinnest

setting of the pasta machine with a drop of the alcohol ink mixed in in. There

definitely are the some surprises, look at this, this is Espresso, up here it's a

brown like you'd expect a color called espresso to be, but when you mix it in

with the clay you get this green. You've got this beautiful warm yellow for

Butterscotch but it's not quite the same and Ginger is also kind of greeny

instead of this kind of reddish brown. Some of the colors are pretty much what

you'd expect. I think if I wanted Terra Cotta I'd probably do Cranberry

instead because that looks a whole lot more like terra cotta, and on it goes. The

Wild Plum has lost all of its purple shades and is now pink, Purple Twilight

is just kind of a gnarly pink, Eggplant is a blue grey. The blues seem to have

held their colors the nicest. In contrast here are all the colors that I own of

the Jacquard Pinata alcohol inks and Lumiere paints which, they are two

different things, but I kind of use them in the same ways. The only one that has a

really surprising color shift is the black which looks grey when mixed in

with the raw clay but bakes up to this brown, but you know that's good to know

because there might be a time when you want this color in your baked clay

you know, now you know how to get it, surprisingly, using black. Most of these

are pretty good without much color shift. This side over here, if you remember the

testing I did a couple weeks ago I tested half of them with a drop of the

ink and half with a dab, and I decided some of these colors I really liked and

the ones with the dab were so pale I wanted to see how they baked up with the

full strength. I think I added even more to the these however, than I did to these

because these are actually quite translucent. I've got, I added a drop of

the pearlescent emerald Lumiere paint to my Pardo translucent, mixed it in and

baked it and you can you can read through it. Over here I think I must have

added more than a drop because you can't read through these. So I think I was a

little excited about adding the colors. These ones are interesting, amazing. I

thought these were bright, look at these, whoa, and who would have expected this

color to be this fluorescent when baked? So that's kind of a pleasant surprise.

These are great tools to keep along with your alcohol ink so that if you're using

them with polymer clay or baking or heat setting them in any way you're going to

know exactly what you're going to get. One more thing I promised you. I

mentioned in the the video a couple weeks ago that I've always been

frustrated by the Ranger products because they have black caps and so how

do you label them? The Jacquard products have white caps so you can just put a

drop of whatever it is on the cap and then you can identify it and then I got

a brainstorm. How about White Out? So what I did was I

took my White Out, and I've already done all these, put a dab on the top of the

black cap, on every single one of them, let it dry, and then I was able to drip a

drop of each color right onto that and these have been sitting for a few weeks.

There's no stickiness or reaction. I was afraid that the ink might react

the White Out, but it doesn't. so there's a great tip for you. I just love looking

down at my container here and being able to actually see for the first time

exactly what each color is. so I hope you found this helpful. let me know if you

have any interesting tips or tools or ideas for using alcohol inks with your

polymer clay or other crafting. if you're interested in the supplies I used you

should click on the little "i" in the upper right of the video or the link in

the description box to go to my blog post where I always have a complete

supply list with links to products. Thanks for watching, happy creating, bye

bye.

Woodturning An Offset Slat Bowl - Round 2 - Not This Way! - Duration: 8:29.

Hi, Alan Stratton from As Wood Turns (www.AsWoodTurns.com) A short time ago, I made this offset slat

bowl. It was an interesting experience. One that I do not want to repeat. However, I do

like the design. I do like the style. And, I wanted to make a bigger bowl. But, I thought

there had to be a better way. Because, in this one I clamped the slats together and

then glue to a top waste block and a bottom waste block. The problem was these were too

loose and tended to come apart. At the most inopportune time.

So, I decided there had to be a better way. I had to experiment and find out, to figure

out how to do it. This time with double stick tape between the slats. That is the key difference

between the bowls. But, as you'll see in this video, that worked too well. The slats

were terribly hard to get apart. So, while this bowl is of the same style, and worked

out quite nice, there are signs of damage on the bowl that I'd prefer to avoid.

So, there must still be a better way. I hope to explore and find out what that way is.

Meanwhile, I'll show you how not to make another offset slat bowl.

To start, I milled out the slats similar to last time just a little bit wider and longer

since I want a slightly larger bowl this time. Last time, the slats seemed to be too loose.

This time, I am using double stick tape between each slat. Then gluing a sanded piece of OSB

to the top of all the slats. For the bottom, I'm gluing another piece of OSB. However,

I am using a paper joint this time to be sure it comes apart when I need it to. Then let

the glue cure thoroughly. Now the glue has dried, I'm pressing the

block to a faceplate so I can mark the perimeter before a quick trip to the bandsaw.

Now, I can mount my block to a faceplate with double stick tape.

Now, I'm carefully rounding off the block. Then for safety sake, I'm adding a band

clamp around the lip in case the double stick tape does not hold.

Then on to actually forming the exterior of the bowl. This block is larger than last time

so I want to try more of a brim where the band clamp is. Since the edges of the pieces

are not glued together, they tend to splinter more. Shear scraping with my gouge cleans

up the cut. Actually, a small piece of the outer slat

does break and fly off. I've cut away the portion that had the double stick tape. I

have to remove the band clamp, apply tape to the next slat before putting the upper

portion of the slat back in place. I did not try to put the other part of the slat in.

I figure I can cut it away with the exterior shaping.

When the shape is acceptable, I'll sand the exterior starting with 80 grit to refine

the shape since I had too much splintering. Since the wood is different densities, I'll

keep the lathe speed fast. The speed makes for hot hands while sanding.

With sanding complete, I'm applying lacquer for a finish now. This will at least seal

the edges for when I glue up. Before I take it apart, I'm cleaning up

the bottom. I need a good flat to help the glue up.

Now to take it apart. Now I quickly regret using the double stick tape. Except for the

one slat where the tape was cut away, the slats are very stubborn. The OSB has no problem

separating at the paper joint. But the slats with double stick tape are hanging on very

tight. I'm trying everything I can to separate them. So much for the double stick tape idea.

Yes it holds but No it holds on too strongly. Sounds like paper joints are the way to go.

Now to reassemble and glue all those slats together. Last time, I was worried about missing

up the order. This time, after eyeballing the shape, I'm using masking tape to mark

the order and position. Then glue them together with white glue and cleaning up the exposed

offset. There's why I would glue not this all at once.

Now to assure a good hold, I'm gluing the blank to a wood faceplate. I'll let the

glue harden at least over night. Now that the wood is safely and securely glued

together, hollowing is a lot like any other bowl with several major exceptions. First,

the rim is not solid. For safety sake, I cannot let my hands go beyond the tool rest. I imagine

the jagged edge hitting my hands and I definitely do not want that to happen.

Another is that as I turn, I have to leave the bowl sides thicker at least visually because

as the wood rotates, it appears thicker than it really is. I have to stop the lathe to

be sure of the wall thickness. Also, since the rim is not solid, it can easily

splinter. I have to take very light cuts and feel my way to the outer edge. I tend to let

the edge hit my gouge as I move away from center. Once it stops hitting, I'm at the

outer edge and I can rotate the gouge to start a light cut.

I'm finishing up with a large bowl scraper. I sanded this bowl at high speed to try to

minimize oversanding the softer walnut. Then applied lacquer to the interior.

Then carefully part off the bowl through the pine surface of the faceplate. I relieve the

cut in the pine, then carefully cut a slight hollow into the bowl's wood. I'm counting

on the pine to shear off. I stop a couple of times to test before the bowl breaks off

the faceplate through the last about ¾ inch of pine.

Then mount a sanding pad in the headstock and sand off the remaining nub and make the

bottom slightly concave. I'm signing the bowl with my pyrography

setup with a ball tip. I always sand a bit more after burning to remove scorch marks.

Then I'm taking some time with fine sandpaper to relieve any sharp edges on the slats.

Now for the final coat of lacquer before buffing the bowl.

In summary, I do not recommend this process for this type of turning. In the first process,

the slats separated too easily. In this process, the double stick tape held on too tightly.

I did some damage to the slats while trying to separate them. I like the way the bowl

looks but not the process. I may have to relent and use paper joints between the slats.

That's it for this bowl. Please give this video a thumbs up, subscribe on my website

and tell your friends. Please wear your full face shield – yes I'm nagging but you

will thank me later. I am Alan Stratton from As Wood Turns dot com. Every week I make a

new woodturning video. So come on back next week.

Silent feature

Smartphones are great distraction for most people.

However, introverts suffer more from noise from the phone.

Fortunately, there is silent feature which ensures them to stay focus on the task they

are doing.

3.

Canceled conversation

Conversation is always exhausting, awkward, and annoying.

Skipping conversation especially from the person known as bully will help you live longer.

4.

Canceled plans

While some other people sad when the plans are canceled, introverts secretly love it.

It means more time alone in bed with favorite book.

Who does not like it?

Extrovert.

5.

Headphones

Noise is another special item that introverts always want to keep in their pocket.

It keeps annoying noise away.

6.

Home alone

Your crazy mind drives you into doing something unusual as long as nobody's home.

It is definitely special event that most introverts love.

7.

Rain

Rain prevents people to do something useful especially those who work outside.

People who want to travel are also sad because they cancel their plans.

However, introverts secretly love this situation since it is relaxing, quiet, and it is really

good for sleeping.

8.

Hiding under cover

Introverts like to hide not only from people but also from other conditions.

This keeps them feel safe and sound.

9.

Staying at home snacking

Another thing that introverts like is obviously staying at home with a nice friend while watching

Netflix with some snacks on the table.

This will keep your mind at breeze, and it gives them energy for the next hangout.

HITCHHIKING SOLO CHALLENGE 2018 Part 2 | 500 KM IN 1 DAY? | Sofian Worldwide #35 - Duration: 10:36.

I'm right here on the Myanmar border back to Thailand.

If you have questions about Myanmar, just write it in the comments, no matter if it is in German

or English, no matter what topic.

I try to answer everything as well as possible with my experiences.

Let's see what happens after this, I don't know yet ..

Hello everyone and welcome on the way back to Thailand.

I just got my Departure stamp, it was relatively easy.

It's this form you have to fill out.

And yeah, he was kind, it was a two-minute thing.

I am now on the Freedom Bridge, I think that's what it's called, between Myanmar and Thailand.

Now it's about getting my visa back for Thailand or a new visa.

I don't know what happens after that :D

My plan is actually to hitchhike to Bangkok now.

That's about 550 kilometers.

However, it is already pretty late - between 04:00 and 05:00 p.m.

Yeah, let's see how far I'll get, how I'll continue or how I'll even get

to Bangkok.

Have fun watching and goodbye Myanmar! :) <3

I am now close to the Immigration Office to Thailand and I forgot

that you need accommodation for the arrival card.

I quickly copied one from Booking, an address.

I don't think that should be a problem, I'll fill it out, present it,

and that' s it.

It's done!

I'm back in Thailand.

The entry was really easy.

I got an arrival card as usual.

It looks like this:

Slightly different from the ones you get from Germany but same content.

Filling it out, as I already suspected, is a place to show off in Thailand.

But that's it, they don't want confirmation, nothing.

Now I'm back in Thailand.

Let's see how I get down this road now.

By the way, for all those who want to exchange their money from Myanmar, do it in Myanmar,

because, as I have read and heard it now, it is quite difficult

to get your money back in Thailand.

A little tip of mine: change your money first, so you don't have to sit on it.

In Bangkok and Chiang Mai it is guaranteed to be exchangeable, but in general it is

pretty difficult.

I still have my hitchhiking list for Tak.

Tak is now the next town after Mae Sot.

Let's see if I can get there.

Okay, I didn't have success at the border.

I think I'll move on now.

The road looks so endless.

Guys, I don't know if you can hear me.

I got my first trip from really nice people.

They really wanted me to get into town before it got dark.

And I think I'll leave the border a bit more and drive in to Mae Sot.

Let's see what happens after.

My plans have changed.

They took me to the beginning of the highway to Tak and when I

told him about my plan - they were so nice, so super nice people, he could speak really good

English - he wouldn't let me go.

He really didn't recommend it and then I let it go through my head

and it's really late.

6:00 p.m., the sun is about to set, and it's another hour, an hour and a half to Tak.

Hostels in Tak are also more expensive.

I' m looking at two hostels here now and then I'll stay here and then I'll continue tomorrow.

Yeah, I put the camera there to pretend that I was asleep .. :D

A wonderful good morning to you, Hello!

It's 9:30 now.

Yeah, I got muscle ache from yesterday's hitchhiking. :D

I'll be moving on soon.

I'll try to get some coffee somewhere and then we can start!

Whooop, whoop! :)

Now I have to walk about 5km to the highway to

make my way to Tak.

And it's hot again!

Finally got to the highway, and this is a whole different story.

This is a real highway here.

Let's see if I succeed here.

I doubt it right now, because the cars here really do drive very fast.

I got a ride :D

Now we're going to Tak!

I think that's an hour.

I now stood at the traffic circle on the highway and held up the sign

and the nice gentleman here stopped :)

He's helping me make a sign for Bangkok now.

Really nice!

I've now done about eighty, ninety kilometres, I'm now back on the highway

in Tak, he got me to Highway, and he even asked his colleagues,

who are stopped by the way, whether they're going to Bangkok by chance.

And now he made me a sign.

I'm going to improve this a little bit, and then I'll try to get from here

to Bangkok.

That's about 400 kilometers, but I think some of the truck drivers

here are driving directly to Bangkok.

I'll just try it. Maybe I'll get lucky.

If I wait too long, I'll find a way in.

It's 2:30 p.m. now.

I'll start now, let's see how it goes.

I think the first one I stopped is going to Bangkok.

Wait..

I am curious.

I don't know if he's going to Bangkok, but I'll just go with him.

He's going that way.

I think I'm incredibly lucky.

The gentleman is going to Ayutthaya, which is about 80 kilometres from Bangkok.

I think I'll drive 300 kilometres with him to Bangkok.

Yeah nice, very good!

Hello!

We're just making a quick stop.

Mr. Truck Driver must go to the bank.

The trip continues.

Here's our lunch box, by the way.

He already offered me drinks of.

Well, the next little break, refuel, and yeah, it is now just after 05:00 p.m. and

I think we still need about two hours.

The truck driver got out again because he met a colleague here.

I think they're splitting up the booze for the drive.

They've definitely just, I think beer or something in a beer bottle,

refilled into plastic bottles.

As long as I get there in one piece!

Little update.

As I have just found out, Mr. Truck Driver is going to Phra Pradaeng,

and that is part of Samut Prakan, which

means that it is right near Bangkok.

It used to be a part of Bangkok.

Means basically that I can apparently go straight to Bangkok after all.

Even more lucky ..

He just took a picture of me :D

Yeah, apparently not to Ayutthaya, directly to Bangkok.

I never thought I'd get from Mae Sot to Bangkok in a day.

So that's about 500 kilometres, which I've done two times hitchhiking, so

two trucks.

As long as you are properly prepared, have your signs and go to the right spots,

so outside the cities in the direction of the highways, great thing!

I don't know if you can hear me.

We just made a short stop and ate something, and the truck driver

even invited me to dinner.

Just a couple of noodles, the first thing I ate besides my breakfast this morning.

Yeah, let's go!

I've arrived!

I am now in the middle of the highway in Bangkok, several kilometres from the centre.

Uhm, it's 09:00 p.m. and I have no hostel, no place to sleep.

And yeah..

now what?

Airsoft - Raptor Airsoft PKP "Pecheneg" [ENG sub] - Duration: 20:17.

Hello everyone, I'm DingChavez

I've got many pleasures in life

but the first one is tea

ow sh*t that's hot !

the second one is bad-ass BB-guns

not bad, not bad at all

I like that!

welcome to the Lair

today I'm going to talk about something heavy, very heavy

the PKP machine-gun by Raptor Airsoft

before starting I'd like to thank Airsoft Entrepôt for sending this gun to me

you can watch their videos on their YouTube channel

the replica is sold 649.90€

it is delivered in a huge cardboard box

Raptor Airsoft

with the claws and all!

it's frightening!

of course this box is empty, otherwise I wouldn't carry it like that

this is a gun they received to test it before ordering a batch

so I didn't get the manual and I don't know if the inside is consistent with the final production

but who cares about the box?

what's important is that it arrived undamaged

but let's talk about the replica!

here it is, the PKP, or "Pecheneg"

what is a PKP?

well, it is a modernized Russian PKM

issued in the early 2000'

it is a light machine-gun when it is issued to the troops, because it is hand-carried

but medium machine-gun if you mount it on a tripod or a vehicle

because it is a 7.62X54 MG

because it shoots 600 rounds per minute

PKP means

polemyot

kalashnikova

pekhatny

pecheneg

you don't care do you ?

the main changes compared to the PKM are a polymer stock to replace the wooden one

the bi-pod is attached to the far end of the barrel

there's no hand-guard

the barrel can't be replaced in combat

of course it can be stripped when it needs cleaning

on PKMs you can switch barrels quickly when it is too hot

here, the barrel is more stable, more accurate

and it is heavier, so it can sustain high rate of fires for quite a long time

the maker says that it can easily take 600 RPM without being too hot

and the spot of the bi-pod allows better stability

that's for the real gun

ours only shoots 6mm BBs

it is an A&K PKM frame

with a steel/polymer PKP kit

the stock, the front assembly, the barrel

the carry handle, with a polymer layer

so it is...

...oh, there's BBs in there

it is a big gun

here are the dimensions

it is not really made to shoot standing up

with the big ammo box it is not very convenient

you can shoot from the hip

but once again, not very convenient

you can hold it like that

it was a bit more comfy to hold the bi-pod on PKMs

but keep in mind this is not an assault rifle

except if you've got big muscles and a real need to spray BBs all over the place

there's no game between the stock and the body

the butt plate is made of steel and it can be unfolded to shoulder the machine-gun

inside you can put a cleaning kit

useless in game but nice for gun-collectors

I've got one inside my AKM stock

but I don't clean the barrel with it, it'd damage the bore

on top of the stock you can unscrew the front sight adjusting tool

the front sight is a bit hard on this one

I think it has never been adjusted

the grip is a standard AK grip

there's no motor inside but they didn't chose to mount a grip with the real dimensions

well, I don't think so

there's a dummy charging handle here

no spring attached

behind the trigger guard there's a safety lever

it locks the trigger

the trigger operates an electric switch

the rear sight is fixed to the top cover

it is marked from 100 to 1500 metres

of course we won't reach such distances

the front sight is similar to AKs', with the adjustable part

it looks very sturdy

there are covers on the left side

they don't have any purpose

we can open the top cover

to access the gearbox

it is a classic machine-gun gearbox

well, similar to M249s, M60s and so on

with a quick-change spring guide

but you'll have to remove the gearbox from the body before being able to replace the spring

there are only two screws to remove

I'll show you how it's done in the complete review on my website

there's a metal hop-up unit, the adjusting wheel is quite hard to move

if I remember well the inner barrel is about 520mm long

but I'll measure that, also the diameter, said to be 6.04mm

because sometimes the real dimensions are different...

I must say that on a machine-gun I don't mind if it sprays a bit

6.08, 6.10, I don't mind

as long as it is smooth and straight

behold the wires!

you can hide them under the covers

the battery goes into the ammo-box

and it powers the gearbox and the ammo-box

I really like that

I'll talk about the ammo-box later on

if you own a PKM you can buy the kit only

it looks good

and rock-solid

the finish is nice too

I like the flash-hider

the bi-pod is well maintained

there are small notches to fix it to the front assembly

and a kind of flexible lock

quite hard to move

I'll take a screwdriver so I don't lose a fingernail

there's a spring to spread the legs

and then it locks to the front

set it up on the field, and support your team!

what bothers me is that it is an expensive gun

and Raptor chose to disable a few features from the original PKM

for instance, you can originally set the rate of fire thanks to switches installed on the gas block

Raptor assessed that it was not reliable enough, so they've cut the wires but they've let the electronic board inside

well, when I buy a 650 or so euro gun, I prefer having all the features, even if they'll fail one day or another

than having the buttons and no features

if you remove the features, remove the switches and make a new part !!

same story about the ammo-box

it can contain 5000 BBs

and you can plug a Jack switch, like the ones some flash-lights have

or use the 3-position switch to activate continuous feed

normally there's an automatic mode

that feeds the gun when you shoot

they removed the automatic feed

if you want to enable it, you'll have to modify the ammo-box electronics

but of course it'll void the warranty

you've got a 5000-round mag, and you have to operate it manually

that's too bad

but I'm not an engineer and I don't know if the original system is reliable or not

don't hesitate to tell me if you had problems using A&K ammo-boxes

tell me if it is a good idea do deactivate those features

anyway, when the ammo-box is mounted to the gun, it doesn't move a bit

it is rigid

hear that?

this is THE main problem here

say "adios" to being stealth on the field

what I've done on my RPK drum

I laid tissues inside so there's no more rattling

you can only hear BB against BB noise

the ammo-box is fixed to the gun by a sturdy latch

the installation is very easy

start inserting the left side

push

it locks

let's have a closer look

there's a short sling here, same material that AK slings

the lock is on the side

rotate it and open the lid

pour BBs inside

insert the battery here

mind the wires

don't do as I did

chrono your gun before going in game

I have two similar batteries, one is 7.4V and the other one is 11.1V

I accidentally took the 11.1V and I broke the piston before the game

I thought I was using a 7.4 battery

until I went back home...

the problem here is that this series shoots below 300 FPS

so using 11.1V batteries won't be a good idea

take it easy right out of the box

control the FPS and then adapt the battery to your gun

but the RoF is quite enough even with a 7.4 battery

I don't have a Jack switch to show you the feature, but it can be the most convenient solution to feed the gun

instead of having to move the main switch all the time

I really like the fact that the ammo-box is powered by the battery

there's no AA battery management, no need to replace extra batteries

it looks sturdy

I wonder if they use real ammo-boxes that they modify

I hope the gears are not fragile

I'll plug everything

like that

the wires are not good-looking, try and hide them

but there's no fake-ammo belt with this machine-gun

it would have been great

and now it is really difficult to get neutralized ammo with all this terrorist sh*t

I don't know if 7.62X54 dummies are available somewhere

it would look nice

let's hear how it sounds

now that I've repaired the gearbox with ATM part sent by Airsoft Entrepôt

not very convenient because of the ammo-box

the RoF is not crazy

it is not a high-end motor in there

this is a Classic Army gearbox

even with a 7.4V, it feels like there's a slight inertia

I think it is possible to upgrade that

for 650€, Raptor could have chosen better components

when you buy this kind of gun

you want to give some on the field!

this is a fire support replica

so we shoot long bursts

there's no semi!

this kind of MG makes sense if you play accordingly

not necessarily milsim games

but games when everyone is limited to semi but machine-gun

and games that not limit you to 3-round bursts

you want to support your team, this is a real role

and carrying a 8.5kilo replica to shoot 3-round bursts doesn't make sense

except the price/features ratio

I'm quite pleased with this PKP

it fits perfectly modern Russian impressions

the externals look indestructible

don't be a brute with the gearbox here

thanks again to Airsoft Entrepot for sending this Pecheneg to me

if you've bought this replica, is you had a PKM before

if you've bought the kit

tell me about it!

have you had issues, failures and so on ?

are you happy with the PKP ?

like the video

or thumb down if you prefer

subscribe if you haven't done it

don't miss any news by following the Lair on Facebook

I'll plug everything and shoot some targets to see if it is efficient!

have a good game

play seriously without taking yourself too seriously

see you soon in the Lair

xoxo

from throughout the week if you have been here for a while you know that we

also have additional shows we've got our show that's released each Tuesday where

I am interviewing some of the world's most incredible men New York Times

bestselling authors athletes warriors entrepreneurs I mean just men who are

having so much success on every front and I've got some amazing amazing guests

lined up in the next 8 to 10 weeks we're that far ahead but I wanted to make sure

that I am always providing you with the best content available to again reclaim

what it means to be a man and then you guys have noticed we also released a

third show every single week it's called in the trenches and this is done by my

good friend and fellow brother in the iron Council his name is Everett Bubba

Downs and he is interviewing ordinary everyday guys like you and me about what

they're going through what they're working on where they're succeeding and

having victories where they're struggling and then giving some

actionable insights and challenges to help you on your own journey so if you

would guys make sure you subscribe so you never miss a single episode we got a

lot going on and on the subject of the in the trenches I do want to ask for

some feedback on that we're about four or five episodes in send me a message on

may be and give me your insights give me your feedback let me know what you think

about in the trenches of course let me know what you think about Friday field

in our interviews as well I'm always interested in hearing from you and what

you like and what you don't like so we can continue to make this a very very

valuable resource again in a situation in an area that I think is much needed

in society too today so that's what I wanted to share with you before I get

into the Friday field notes today I've got a couple of quick announcements what

do we got here number one if you don't already know we've got an order of man

store we've got hats we've got shirts we've got decals I just put a new decal

on my new truck it makes it a truck when you have an order of man decal on there

we've got everything over there battleplanners writers logs we've got

some cool stuff so if you are interested in supporting what we do as a way to say

thank you but also look good in the meantime head to store.orderofman.com

store.orderofman.com we really appreciate the support and I love when I

driving down the road and I see somebody in his car or truck and I see an order

of man decal on there somebody with an order of man had or a shirt on it's

pretty cool to see that so again store.orderofman.com now the

second thing I want to mention is our exclusive Brotherhood we have been

really really growing over these past two weeks and I think it's a testament

to what we've been doing in there and a testament to the 370 members who are

sharing a lot about what we're doing we just had a guest expert on a couple of

weeks ago as we get into this new month we are going to be talking about all

things finances budgeting investing cash flow insurances investing in businesses

I mean you name it if it's a conversation that has a dollar sign next

to it we're going to be talking about it because I think there's a lot of men out

there who don't quite know how to handle their money correctly as evidenced by

the debt they have the limited investments and the fact they just don't

know where their money is coming and where it's going so if you are

interested in that this is a great month to join the iron Council and we've got a

great expert guest coming on later in the month so if you are interested go to

orderofman.com/ironcouncil orderofman.com/ironcouncil you're

gonna get the conversations the guest experts all the information you need the

worksheets and of course the accountability in the Brotherhood and

the camaraderie that comes with it again orderofman.com/ironcouncil

now guys let's get right into this today I want to talk about I titled this Lord

of the Flies if you haven't read Lord of the Flies

I definitely encourage it it's a fictional work I'm

not gonna spoil the surprise for you but it's very very similar to what I think

we might be experiencing or the trend that we may be on now it may not be as

in-depth or severe as what may be in Lord of the Flies but certainly I

believe that we're on this trend I just think there's this this shift in society

today where collectively we've begun to give more credit to children than they

actually deserve historically adults have made the decisions and been the

influential party in the direction of relevant and I say relevant because

there are some things that kids of course have some influence over but the

relevant culture and policy in society now in some sort of weird reality

version again of Lord of the Flies we've begun to allow our children to dictate

the tone of the conversation and even set the framework for some very very

serious issues that all of us children adults everybody will be impacted by so

before I get into this conversation I want to share a couple of things with

you a disclaimer if you will I try to put these in here because I know

inevitably I know I'm gonna get emails and messages from people who have

misinterpreted what I'm talking about so first I do not believe that children

should make the rules or set the tone of adult conversations I just said that but

this does not mean that I don't care about our kids or have empathy or

compassion for their perspectives or their experiences or what they're saying

alright number two some of our children are very intelligent

there's no denying that and I'm not even saying that they're not but what I am

saying is that they lack the life experience that is required to fully

understand the ramifications of their very very limited experience and third I

am NOT in the mindset that children should be seen and not heard

I listen to my children I listen to the children in my community for example on

our baseball team that commit the kids that I have a responsibility for I

listen to those kids every day every day I listen and I hear and I try to

understand where they're coming from but that said I as the adult

I as the person responsible for the outcome of these kids and the situation

make the decisions so those are my three disclaimers I wanted to share those

upfront so we can have some framework for the rest of the discussion now I'm

looking around again in society and when I see for example children yelling at

their parents in the grocery store and then witness the parents actually giving

in to their demands or when I see children who have no clear adult role

models in their lives make some horrible horrible mistakes and when I see

children at marches and things like that without fully understanding the depth of

the issues I cannot help but think that we are failing our kids so today again I

thought I would cover some of the reasons that we ought to be very very

careful of giving children more credit than they deserve but this isn't about

whining because I've seen that on Facebook I've seen that on social media

this isn't about attacking children this isn't about complaining about what

these quote-unquote kids these days are doing you know what I want to do is give

us you me the dads the business owners the community leaders the men some very

practical steps that we we can take to ensure that our children have a very

clear path to run on because what's gonna be happening is that we are going

to ask them to lead one day but that day just isn't today so the first issue that

I want to bring up is that children will naturally take the path of least

resistance they don't yet fully understand the law of sacrifice which

states that you need to give up something today right now in order to

have a better tomorrow this makes sense because children's perspectives are

limited only to what they have experienced which is not a whole lot

right since they've only been alive for a very very short period of time they

look for the easy answer they look for the short path they look for the

surface-level solution without a full understanding of how that solution will

actually impact them and others in the long term now to be fair I now have to

be fair here plenty of adults do this too I've done this in my own life and I

certainly not suggesting that we take every adults recommendation that would

be disastrous but that said adults have more

experience to draw upon where they can look back on their life's choices and

realize where they fell short and what choices serve them and what choices

hindered them kids just don't have enough experience and responsibilities

and feedback it's about that feedback and they don't have enough of it to

understand those principles so again this isn't about whining and complaining

this is about solutions so what is the solution well number one we need to get

our kids involved in experiences where they can fail that is a critical and an

important part of life Society says that we should not allow our children to fail

and this is a problem because it leads our kids to believe they're invincible

and incapable even of failing and this in turn I think sets them up for a false

sense of reality I've seen young adults buckle at the slightest sign of

adversity simply because they're parents they're adults the leaders in their life

told them they could do anything and everything and that they were special

and wonderful and good at everything they've ever tried lie after lie is

perpetuated to these children and the ego and the arrogance and the pride of

our kids comes with it simply because they haven't been kicked in the pants

enough this is the exact reason that I choose to get my kids involved in

competitive sports I want them to know what it's like to fail and how to win

and how to lose and how to use the feedback of failure the feedback of

failure to learn and grow I want them to understand what sacrifice looks like and

that nothing in this world comes free or miss is important free of consequences

now this leads nicely into my second point and point number two is that

children see things through rose-colored glasses they see things how they wish

them to be not as they actually are in short I think children are overly

optimistic and have a false sense of reality about how this world works and

that's obvious because they don't know how

works and more and more parents are failing to teach them how it works and

then you couple that with a bubble wrap that we insist on protecting our

children with and it's easy to see why and it and at times envy that youthful

naiveness or ignorance look guys don't get me wrong here I believe that having

hope is a wonderful thing but when it's predicated on delusion it becomes very

dangerous when you see one perspective you're missing the other 359 degrees

that paint an entirely more accurate and realistic picture so what's again the

solution we'll get more involved in your children's lives teach them the good

teach them the bad teach them the ugly you do no justice to your children by

sheltering them from atrocities of the world talk with your kids about violence

prepare them for it how to protect themselves money sex drugs and all of

the things that you wish to keep them from as adults we keep these things from

our children in hopes that they won't go near the things that will hurt them but

all we're really doing is attracting them to it even more you cannot keep

your kids from danger it is inevitable unfortunately I don't want it to be the

case but it is the case so you can expose them to it and I say in

controlled environments you're not just going to go be reckless with your

children but you can expose them to it in controlled environments so they have

a clear vision of the realities of life armed with that information they're

gonna be more capable of making choices with all of the facts at hand not just

the simple ones not just the nice ones not just the comfortable once and guys

the third and final point I want to make is that children are selfish they

operate from a position of scarcity I understand why when we look at Maslow's

hierarchy of needs for example we can see that humans will need to fulfill

certain needs before moving on to these more what I call advanced needs children

are naturally insecure because they're in exploration mode they're trying to

make sense of the experiences and the stimulus and the world around them so

self-preservation becomes the IRD over abundance for the other people

that just happened to be floating around them they simply haven't matured enough

to lead others well they can't even lead themselves well and that's not a knock

on children it just means that they're again in exploration mode they're

learning they're growing they're developing they haven't fully done it

yet and you couple that with the fact that our youth have very little

responsibility and accountability in their own lives you know for the most

part there are no negative consequences for their selfish behavior they're

continually rewarded for taking care of themselves at the expense of others and

it isn't until they learn and see how operating as a team whether it's in a

family or sports or school or church or the neighborhood or community it isn't

until they see that and how that will serve everyone better than just

themselves so the solution on this one is very straightforward give children

responsibility give them a pet to take care of make them earn the things they

want make them responsible for an area or a project around the house have them

earn their way and please please for the love of everything discipline your

children when they do wrong I know it's not easy no one wants to enforce the

negative consequences on their children's behavior but you do them a

disservice when you tell them it's okay to do dumb things over and over again

you hinder them you're not helping them do not come to their rescue let them sit

in the in the shame of their choices I know it sounds harsh when I put it like

that it's not it's not harsh it's one of the most powerful learning opportunities

and gifts that you could ever give to a child so menís I wrap things up today I

remind you that this is not a call to ignore what our children are

experiencing or their emotions or their perspectives or what they're saying it's

actually a call to spend more time and attention on them that doesn't mean that

we have to bow down to their every wish and desire it simply means that we act

like the adults that we are asking them to become by leading by example and

doing these hard things that we must and ordered a more fully prepare them for

what is to come in their life and I realize Lord of the Flies is fictional

work but I do believe that it impedes an eerily familiar scenario when we allow

the kids to be adults bottom line they are incapable of doing so that won't

always be the case unless we ignore the responsibilities I'm talking about as

men to lead with guidance and love and direction and clarity and paint an

accurate picture of what it takes to become successful in life allow your

children to fail teach your children the good and the ugly reality of life

give them the burden of responsibility only through these continual exercises

will we allow them to develop into the adults will one day be proud to follow

guys as I wrap things up today I just want to offer a very simple thank you

thank you for doing these things I think for the most part everybody listening to

this and I might be preaching to the choir is is doing this it's stepping up

as men and asking our children to shoulder some responsibilities and to

teach them the realities of life I believe you guys are doing that I'm

honored to be standing shoulder to shoulder with you this is something that

is again much much needed in society and I see some of these trends and frankly

they scare me and I think it's my job which is why I've started this movement

in this organization three years ago it's my job to throw my hat in the ring

to do what I can do to become a man myself for me and my wife and my kids my

neighborhood my community the people that rely upon me but then also a call

to ask you to do the same thing there's not any one of us or ten or a hundred or

a thousand or a million we need millions and millions of men in this fight

reclaiming what it means to be a man and I believe that you guys are doing so so

again a very simple thank you as I sign out guys I will look forward to talking

with you next week but until then take action on these

become a man you are meant to be thank you for listening to the order of

man podcast you're ready to take charge of your life to be more of the man you

were meant to be we invite you to join the order at orderofman.com

Dandelion Jelly & Pioneer Refashion | Week in the Life | Whitney's Tiny Life - Duration: 23:02.

hey everyone Whitney here and it's time for another week in the life on

Whitney's tiny life it is Friday and I am so busy I have a lot of projects

going on I took the kids outside to play earlier

and we noticed that some dandelions were coming up so I decided it was finally

time to try out making dandelion jelly it is a recipe I came across last year

but I just didn't get a chance to do it last year and since dandelions are

starting to come up I decided today was the day so I picked as many as I could

out of our yard and our neighbor's yard and I spent about like 40 minutes

separating the yellow parts from the stems and the green rinse dome I should

have rinsed them first it would have been better and then added the flower

parts to four cups of boiling water to make a dandelion tea that I will set in

my fridge overnight and then tomorrow or the next day I can turn that tea into a

jelly after it's been strained so I'm really excited about that I also have 9

pounds of apples that I need to process into applesauce today see I'm already

like an hour into nap time and I have not even started on the apples which is

not the best I need to get to working on them I have my jars on the stove coming

up to a boil so they can sterilize and then I'm going to peel core and chop

these apples as quickly as possible so that I can get some work done but I am

so excited especially about the dandelion jelly dandelion jelly is

supposed to taste kind of like a slightly lemony version of honey and I'm

really really excited about it dandelions are completely edible from

the fruits the leaves and the flowers and some people say they have medicinal

properties and different things and I'm wondering if it will help with allergies

similar to how local honey will kind of help with allergies

plus I mean if it tastes good it tastes good so I am really excited about it and

then doing it early enough in the season that if it does turn out that we really

love it maybe I will be able to whip up another batch before all the dating

liens go away for the year so yeah I better get going on these apples and as

soon as my dandelion mixture gets cool enough I will stick it in the fridge

until tomorrow

hey everyone it is Saturday and I have done a lot of stuff already today well

actually let me start with last night yesterday I processed the nine pounds of

apples into apple sauce and then I thought I had nine more pounds to

process into just apple slices in a simple syrup that we used for apple pie

later but come to find out there was 12 pounds left so now I'm not sure if I

started with 48 pounds or 51 pounds last week but I went ahead and did the apple

sauce just after noon and then the apple pie slices last night because I was just

ready to be completely done with apples and then yesterday I showed getting the

dandelion tea prepped for the dandelion jelly so today I strained it twice to

make sure there was not any dandelion left in it at all it was just the liquid

that is steeped in and I made dandelion jelly and it is so pretty it's a pretty

subtle flavor um and pretty sugary I haven't had like

full sugar jelly in a long time so they make my own jelly with the low sugar

pectin so there is less sugar in it so I don't know if the flavor is supposed to

be this subtle or maybe I didn't have enough dandelions in it but Peyton helped

me pick more dandelions today so I've already destined them and I have them

steeping for tomorrow and I left the parts that I strained out from

yesterday's I put it back in it so hopefully this time it will be a little

bit stronger and but yeah I'm really excited about it so pretty cool so let

me show you what I've done so here are the apple pie slices I got four quarts

and then two pints because I forgot to sterilize another quart jar here is the

dandelion jelly that I just finished look how beautiful that is

it's a beautiful light yellow color I'm really excited

about it and then down on the floor is the

applesauce so the applesauce that I did yesterday I just had to move it out of

the way I haven't had a chance to label the jars or anything I just had to get

it moved so that I could work on other things so very very excited here is the

one last jar of the dandelion jelly I didn't want to can this one it wasn't

quite full and I wanted to have it so we could sample on it and stuff yeah so I

got the equivalent of about three pints of dandelion jelly pretty pleased with

how all of these stuff turned out the batch of applesauce I did yesterday was

probably my best batch so far like it looks exactly like the stuff you buy in

the store like color consistency everything

so I will probably make some biscuits in the next day or two so we can try out

the dandelion jelly on the biscuits and I think it's going to be delicious I

usually put honey butter on biscuits so I'm really excited to try out just some

regular butter and then the dandelion jelly and yeah I think that is it for

today sorry I didn't actually film doing much Jeremiah took Payton into a little

photo shoot that he has to do today and so I just got busy working as soon as I

laid Skylar down and didn't think to grab the camera but yeah I'm not sure

that I'm gonna do anything else today I might just relax or I might stuff the

rest of the bears in my bear order I don't know yet but it's Saturday so I'm

just gonna kind of chill and not try to do too too much for the rest of it nap

time so I'll see you all again tomorrow it is Sunday and I have just recorded

some audio for an audition that I am applying for submitting for whatever

there was supposed to be two characters that the roles were open for but one of

them says they've already been filled even though auditions are still open so

I'm not sure exactly what happened there but I'm

still applying for the other role it is for like a animated series like a I

don't know a whole lot about it but I the opportunity popped up and so I

thought I would audition cuz it can't hurt it will at least be good experience

even if I don't get it and so I just finished recording that and then now I

am getting all of the behind the scenes stuff ready for Wednesday's tutorial on

my Whitney Sews channel I have to get all my links prepared and the details

for the description box and all that stuff so that is what I'm working on

preparing right now and then after that I will probably stuff some more bears

because I had intended to work on them in the last day or two and just didn't

get a chance so need to get back to finishing up that bear order and that's

just what I'm doing today Jeremiah just left with Payton to run get a couple

things at Walmart and so I've got a little bit of time to myself while

Skyler is still napping and so I'm just gonna see how much I can get done

it is Monday and I have decided to kind of switch gears

today tonight's my work night so I will hopefully get all of these bears

finished up tonight all I have left is to hand sew them all closed there's five

different spots in each bear that has to be hand sewn closed but all of them have

been stuffed and everything so that's all that's needed left on them so since

I'm going to work on those tonight I decided to have a little bit of fun

today while the kids are napping and I'm going to try to resize a size large

men's button-up shirt it's Jeremiah's old shirt and there's an

event this Saturday that we might go to that's kind of like a Pioneer Days event

and a friend of ours was joking that I should go in my Dr. Quinn costume and I

said actually I don't have a Dr. Quinn costume yet on my list but I don't

have one and so I thought it'd be kind of fun to whip one up between now and

then just it's not going to be like an actual Dr.Quinn costume but just

kind of inspired so I have what some people call like a prairie skirt which

is like an ankle-length skirt that is different layers that are gathered and

all that and it's like a olive green color and this shirt happens to match

perfectly and Jeremiah was getting rid of it so I grabbed it a couple days ago

from the get rid of pile and happen to notice that it is the exact same color

as that skirt and then last night at like 1:00 in the morning that idea

popped in my head so I'm gonna see if today I can resize it a tree fashion it

a little bit to fit me so that I can wear it with that skirt and then some

boots and stuff on Saturday for just a fun little take on a pioneer costume

hi everyone it is Tuesday and I have a lot to do today so I just finished

photographing the Bears that I finished up last night and here is how they

turned out so happy with them so yeah there are two sets that match so there's

these two and then these two match and then the other two are different design

and the reason for this is these two are going to one set of siblings these two

are going to another set and then those are for individual kiddos and it's all

the grandchildren of the lady who passed so I think that is really cool how

the lady I'm making a for how they picked out the clothes for the Bears and

the sets and all that stuff so yeah just finished up that order and then I'm

gonna get it delivered in the next day or two and yeah then I will probably

take a little break from bear orders and work on some personal projects and then

I'll start on my next one next up is a set of four bears and I

have a big stack of clothes here for it but yeah so for the rest of today I'm

going to finish up the shirt refashion that I started yesterday and then I'm

either going to work on the costumes for the kids for the Medieval Fair or I'm

going to make a sample of a pattern that I'm developing can't really talk about

that right now but I need to get a sample made so I can see like what

direction it's going and maybe I'll get both those things done that would be

really awesome so I have to get to work on those so that I can get a lot of

stuff done

so I got my prototype made and it went well so I just have to make a few more

tweaks to the pattern to work out one little thing and yeah I'm really excited

about it like I said earlier I can't tell you

what it is but I will tell you that it is bear related it so hopefully I can

get the pattern completely exactly how I want it soon so that I can share that

with you all in the next few weeks so since I got that done I'm going to work

on Peyton's Medieval Fair costume and see how far I can get on that if I get

the waistband put on her pants then I might go ahead and cut out Skylar's

pants and get them sewn together

it is Wednesday and today is a computer day for me so I'm going to edit at least

one video I might work on editing two different videos and transfer some files

and all that sort of stuff which is what I'm working on right now just pulling

some files so yeah pretty boring stuff but it has to get done and I had been

ahead on tutorials that I had loaded onto my main channel but the last one

that I had pre-loaded went up to date so I have to get back on track with like

editing and uploading tutorials regularly again so yeah that's just what

I'm gonna work on today I don't think I'm gonna do any sewing today unless I

do some later tonight after the kids go to bed not much going on today it is

Thursday and I actually kind of forgot to vlog earlier um we took the bear

order that I finished up earlier this week and delivered it so that was really

awesome I love delivering the bear orders and

seeing people happy with the Bears that I made out of their loved ones clothing

so then when we got back we had lunch playing outside for a while and took

late naps and so right now the kids are sleeping and I'm trying to get some

stuff done for our Medieval Fair costumes I made a list that has 15

things on it that I need to do for our costumes and realized I've already

forgotten to put one thing on the list so there's at least 16 things to do so

I'm not gonna start another memory bear order for a couple of weeks probably

because I need to get things going on our costumes and so what I'm working on

for Peyton are these cute little furry shorts one of the things on my list was

to sew the cuffs at the bottom add the elastic and then I realized I can't add

the elastic because I forgot to measure Peyton's legs so I don't know what size

to cut the elastic to but I went ahead and sewed the cuffs and just left a

little bit open so I can put the elastic in now I need to

you cut out and sew together a pair of very shorts for Skylar and then I need

to make the pattern for Jeremiah's shorts so what they are all dressing as

are kind of like fauns or satyrs or whatever you want to call

them the kind of like human upper body hoofed animal lower body I don't I don't

even know but Payton and Skyler both walk on their tippy toes a lot and

that's kind of how you walk if you're in one of those costumes you do like hooves

and you keep your heels off the ground so that it looks more like a hoofed

animal so I just thought it'd be funny since they walk on their tippy toes a

lot anyway I thought it'd be funny to kind of dress him up as those characters

were not into like the mythology and all that that much I just thought it'd be

cute and I happen to have this though for a fabric so yeah we showed Payton a

picture and she said she wanted blue eyeshadow to go with her costume so

she's gonna be a little half human half whatever with blue eyeshadow because

that's what she wants so Jeremiah's been working on his costume he's made some

wooden hooves and attach them to an old pair of shoes and he's also working on

some horns too where I'm not actually going to match the rest of them I have a

floral tablecloth I want to turn into a skirt so I'm going to be cutting a waist

into that tablecloth and adding an elastic waistband and wearing that with

a corset that I have that's kind of like a tree print like tree bark print so I'm

kind of going to be like a mother nature inspired character and then I have like

a little belt type thing that I've made with faux flowers it's really pretty

that I'm gonna wear over the corset so we just love dressing up

for the Medieval fair and so this is pretty different than anything we've done

before but we just thought it'd be fun just just for the heck of it like I said

I already have the faux fur I bought just kind of a like fuzzy sweatshirt II

thing that I'm gonna use for Skylar's and then Jeremiah found a furry like

blanket but he's gonna use for heads so it'll be interesting to see how it all

turns out we're pretty early in the DIY process so there's no telling if it'll

all go as planned or not don't even know but I need to get to work on sewing some

more of it today yeah today is the last day of this vlog so tomorrow starts a

new week so I'm sure next week's vlog will involve a lot more of the Medieval

Fair costumes so if you are interested in those make sure to check out next

week's vlog yeah so I better get to work

Beyond Today -- Hard Questions: Does God Condemn Non-Christians? - Duration: 28:27.

[Gary Petty] One of the most dramatic photographs I've ever seen appeared in a major magazine

many years ago.

It was a photograph of a small child in Sudan.

It was hard to tell the child's age because she was so emaciated from starvation.

The little girl had managed to drag herself into a refugee camp and there, just yards

from where some help was available she had collapsed.

As she lay there a huge vulture had landed a few feet away, waiting for the inevitable.

I don't know what religion her parents practiced, or to what God or gods they worshipped.

No one knows actually what happened to the little girl.

The photograph did motivate people in the Western world to donate money to help those

suffering from the famine.

Any thinking Christian is challenged with a number of questions when we look at this

kind of suffering.

Was this little girl somehow less deserving of God's love?

What if she had never known Jesus?

Has God condemned her and billions like her to everlasting torment in hell?

On Beyond Today we're going to face one of the Hard Questions: Does God Condemn Non-Christians?

One of the most quoted verses in the Bible is John 3:16: "God so loved the world that

He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have

everlasting life."

Here John says that God loves the entire world but the Bible also teaches that faith in God

and His work through Jesus Christ and personal repentance is required to receive salvation.

So what about children who die from malnutrition, war and disease in remote areas of the world

who never even heard of Jesus Christ?

What about the little girl in the photograph?

Is she forever damned to indescribable torment?

What about the people from a village in Outer Mongolia who never knew the God of the Bible

but they were all wiped out by a plague back in the ninth century?

Are they forever cut off from God?

How can we reconcile God's love for humanity, and His requirement to accept His Son for

salvation when, let's face it, most people throughout history have never heard of Jesus

Christ?

Let's begin our search for answers with the Apostle John's vision of Christ's

return recorded in the book of Revelation.

In chapter 19 John describes the dramatic appearance of Jesus Christ as King of Kings

and Lord of Lords to save humanity from self-destruction.

In chapter 20 he describes a resurrection of the dead.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.

Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for

the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his

mark on their foreheads or on their hands.

And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

John calls this the first resurrection.

Then he continues: "Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.

Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ,

and shall reign with Him a thousand years."

In this passage John also writes, now listen to this: "But the rest of the dead did not

live again until the thousand years were finished."

Who are the rest of the dead?

Few people understand what appears to be a second resurrection.

We'll come back to this in a minute (Revelation 20:4-6).

So in this first resurrection the people who awaken from the sleep of death are all those

who followed God both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament Church.

They will reign on earth with Jesus Christ for 1000 years.

Now this is a time that is commonly called the millennium.

We find more details about this resurrection from the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15.

A passage that is often called the Resurrection Chapter.

The apostle Paul describes a resurrection from the dead at the sound of the last trumpet.

Those awakened from death will experience a new, eternal life.

Paul describes a spirit body of eternal energy, a life without the corrupting effects of sin,

a life where we can see God as He is.

This is the same resurrection John writes about in Revelation, the first resurrection.

But when we go back to Revelation 20 we read this important statement, "But the rest

of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished."

Who are the rest of the dead?

This is critical to understand.

So let's think about it.

We've seen that the first resurrection is of the saints to receive a spiritual body

and the rest of the dead don't live again until the end of the millennium.

So to understand we have to pick up the story again in Revelation 20 towards the end of

the chapter where John writes about what happens after the millennium.

He says this, "Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face

the earth and the heaven fled away.

And there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.

And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.

And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in

the books" (Revelation 20:11-16).

These are the billions of people who have lived throughout history, brought back to

life!

People of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Now they have the Scriptures opened to their understanding.

This series of events is commonly called the Great White Throne Judgment.

Most people, most Christians, don't understand this time of judgment.

Do you?

Years ago I saw a religious tract that illustrated how many people view the Great White Throne

Judgment.

It pictured Jesus sitting on an enormous throne looking strangely like the Lincoln Memorial

in Washington, DC.

A line of people extending beyond the horizon, they all stood there before Him.

As each person stepped forward to be judged Jesus would pull one of two levers and the

person would either fall screaming into hell or float happily towards heaven.

That perception of the Great White throne Judgment falls short of the biblical truth.

We've just read that those awakened in the "first resurrection" are raised as incorruptible

spirit beings.

Those resurrected in the Great White Throne Judgment are resurrected, think about this,

to physical life.

But is the perception that they immediately receive eternal judgment correct?

Did you know that the Bible tells of a resurrection to physical life where people are not immediately

judged but actually live on the earth?

The Old Testament prophet named Ezekiel was inspired to write a prophecy that has spawned

numerous interpretations.

In Ezekiel 37 the prophet received a vision of a valley filled with dry bones.

The bones of untold numbers of people who had been dead, it says, for a long time.

God tells Ezekiel that these bones represent all of the people of Israel who have died

throughout the ages.

God tells the prophet to command that these people live again.

What is described of what happens next is an incredible scene of bones coming together,

organs being re-formed, muscles forming, and skin covering the bodies of countless people

who have died over the course of history.

Once again God tells Ezekiel to prophesy, this time, to proclaim that these people will

come back to life.

Suddenly in the story, the breath of life from God enters their lungs and they awaken!

Here is what God tells Ezekiel, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.

They indeed say, 'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!'

Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, O My people, I

will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the

land of Israel.

Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and

brought you up from your graves.

I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land"'

(Ezekiel 37:10-16).

What is described here in Ezekiel isn't at all like the first resurrection described

by Paul and John.

Those awakened in the first resurrection are changed to spirit life.

These people in Ezekiel are raised back to physical life.

Those in the first resurrection are people who have already turned to God, repented,

and received His Spirit.

Ezekiel's prophecy is about people who are resurrected so that they can repent and receive

the Holy Spirit in order to obtain salvation.

Did you know that Jesus also prophesied of a future resurrection that's obviously not

the resurrection that happens at His Second Coming?

Matthew gives us this account of what Jesus said, "Then He [speaking of Jesus] began

to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did

not repent.

[And he said] 'Woe to you, Chorazin!

Woe to you, Bethsaida!

For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they

would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

[Now listen] But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day

of Judgment than for you.

And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the

mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom [that most despicable place]

it would have remained until this day.

But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment

than for you'" (Matthew 11:20-24).

Let's face it.

The people of Tyre and Sodom aren't going to be in the first resurrection.

The first resurrection is of the saints.

Those who believe and follow the true God.

What Jesus is talking about must be the same physical resurrection of Ezekiel.

It is what John calls the Great White Throne Judgment.

This statement by Jesus is just as shocking today as it was to the people He originally

taught.

The people in Sodom aren't in hell, as you might have thought, but they await a resurrection.

Let's think about the tract that showed Jesus in the Great White Throne Judgment with

people lined up to be sent to heaven or hell.

It cannot be that simple.

You say, "Well why would you say that?"

Ezekiel's prophecy shows that those awakened in the physical resurrection, or the second

resurrection, are people who didn't really know God.

Or in the case of ancient Israel did not have access to the indwelling of God's Spirit.

These people will have the opportunity to know God, repent, receive God's Spirit,

and obtain salvation.

Now I know that some people will scoff at this because they will say that this means

that these people get a second chance at salvation.

We're not talking about a second chance.

We're talking about the opportunity for salvation.

The question here is, how does God define opportunity?

Listen to the apostle Paul writes to the Corinthian Church: "But even if our gospel is veiled,

it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who

do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of

God, should shine on them" (2 Corinthians 4:3-4).

The "god of this age" is Satan, the enemy of God, and he has blinded humanity.

No one can come to God unless God lifts Satan's blinders.

Until God pours out His grace on a person no one can truly know God, repent, choose

God and receive salvation.

So we're back to our original question.

Are all those who throughout history, who are blinded by Satan, who never heard of the

true God or Jesus Christ, are they just lost forever?

Paul gives us the answer in his letter to the Romans.

Let's read Romans 5:10-15.

So let's read this.

"For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much

more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through

whom we have now received the reconciliation."

In our corrupted state all human beings, because we are deceived by Satan who is the enemy

of God, become the enemies of God.

It is only through God's mercy that we can be reconciled to Him through the life, death,

and resurrection and work of Jesus Christ.

Let's continue in Romans:

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin,

and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned…"

Death entered into the human experience because Adam was deceived by Satan and disobeyed God.

Every human being since Adam has fallen under Satan's deception and through sin we all

become enemies of God.

So what Paul writes about next is really important to what we are talking about today:

"For until the law [here he's talking about the Ten Commandments] sin was in the

world, but sin is not imputed where there is no law.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according

to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come [a type

of Christ]" (Romans 5:12-14).

We really need to take a closer look at what Paul says here.

He makes the point that all people from Adam to the time when the Law was given on Mount

Sinai were sinners and suffered the natural consequences of sin which is death.

You know without the knowledge though of the Law they had no definition of why they suffered

and died.

So what does Paul mean by the statement, "For until the law sin was in the world, but sin

is not imputed when there is no law."

The Greek word translated imputed denotes "to charge to one's account" (Vine's).

To understand Paul's meaning we need to realize that there are two consequences that

we all suffer.

Human beings suffer from sin.

One is the natural consequences of mental, physical and spiritual suffering that leads

to our deaths.

The second consequence is called the "second death."

We read about that in Revelation 20, that the second death is the lake of fire.

The second death or eternal death is the judgment of God on those who are incorrigibly wicked

who refuse to turn to God and reject His saving power.

Paul writes that the sins of those who lived without knowledge of God's law, their sins

weren't put on their account.

These were people who were blinded by Satan who never had God open their minds to Him

and they suffered the natural consequences of sin but they have not yet experienced God's

eternal judgment.

The same principle can be applied to those who never knew Jesus Christ.

They suffer the natural consequences of sin but their sins have not yet been imputed.

They have not yet received eternal judgment.

God's love is such that He doesn't pass eternal judgment on anyone who never knew

Him, or even those who knew OF God but were blinded by the "god of this age."

Only when God reveals Himself and Satan's deception is exposed can a person really have

the free choice to actually choose or reject God.

According to prophecies like Ezekiel 37, people who never really knew God are resurrected

to physical life to experience their opportunity to repent.

Remember what Ezekiel wrote: 'Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened

your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves.

I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land.

Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,' says the Lord"

(Ezekiel 37:11-16).

Every person receives only one chance for salvation and make no mistake there will be

people who reject God.

This is why at the end of the Great White Throne Judgment the unrepentant wicked are

cast into the lake of fire to suffer eternal death.

But the good news is that everyone will receive an opportunity to have God expose Satan's

deception and choose to repent.

We now have one more question to answer.

What will God's Kingdom be like at the end of the Great White Throne Judgment once Satan

is removed forever and the wicked suffer the second death?

We find that answer in Revelation.

John says, "Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first

earth had passed away.

Also there was no more sea.

Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared

as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.

God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow,

nor crying.

There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away...He who overcomes

shall inherit all things, [and please listen to this] and I will be his God and he shall

be My son'" (Revelation 21:1-7).

It is here that we find the reason that God created us, you and me.

He wants children.

At the end of the Great White Throne Judgment when all human beings have had their opportunity

to know God as Father and Christ as Savior, Master and Brother, when all evil is erased,

God will bring His throne to earth to live with His children.

So let's recap what we've covered so far:

1.

When Christ returns the saints from throughout history will be resurrected to eternal, spiritual

life.

This is called, in Revelation, the first resurrection.

2.

A second resurrection takes place at the end of the millennium.

This is known as the Great White Throne Judgment.

3.

The people raised up in this second resurrection are restored to physical life.

4.

The people who are resurrected to physical life in this second resurrection will have

their opportunity to know and choose God.

5.

At the end of the Great White Throne Judgment all those who repent and accept Jesus as their

Savior will be given eternal life as children of God.

6.

The unrepentant will be cast into the lake of fire to suffer the second death.

This understanding is a vital aspect of the gospel message.

There is hope for this sick and dying world and this seldom known truth is the great hope

for billions of the living and the dead.

You may not have heard this before, so I encourage you to keep listening and please order our

free literature about this important subject.

To further discuss the resurrections we're joined by fellow Beyond Today host Steve Myers

and thanks for being here with us.

You know, when we look at the idea of the second resurrection and what it really means,

it really gives hope when we think about all the people who never knew Jesus.

[Steve Myers] It's such a hard thing.

When I was little I had that problem because I was always taught that God was love.

God is love.

And then I thought about those poor people that were born in Asia or Africa that never

heard the name of Jesus and I was taught they were going to burn forever in hell.

How could God be love if that was the case?

So I had a chance because I was born where I was born but they didn't have any chance

whatsoever.

And that told me God can't be love!

So, as God began to open my mind I came to this understanding that there is this second

resurrection.

There's a resurrection for those who never knew God, and so what a difference.

Talk about hope.

That God is love and He is not a respecter of persons, He is going to give everyone an

opportunity to understand His truth and come into a relationship with Him.

[Gary Petty] You know we look at Ezekiel 37.

Those people are resurrected, given God's Spirit, and are alive on the earth.

The only other scripture that can connect to is that Great White Throne Judgment.

[Steve Myers] And it's not a second chance, it's their first opportunity to come and

understand God and they're going to have an opportunity then to choose.

The books will be opened, the Bible will be opened to them and then they can really understand

and have that first opportunity to come to the Truth.

[Gary Petty] And it's not universal salvation, either.

[Steve Myers] No, no.

[Gary Petty] Because there is a lake of fire.

Some people won't repent.

There are people who are called by God today, who won't repent who do know Jesus.

Well, we know what their result is of their lives.

So it's not universal salvation as some people think and it's not a second chance.

[Steve Myers] No, no.

[Gary Petty] It is the removal of the deception where they actually have the opportunity to

make a choice.

[Steve Myers] Absolutely.

[Gary Petty] During today's program I explained that people who have lived and died having

never known God or even heard the name of Jesus Christ, will be given that very opportunity

through a future physical resurrection.

Just like those who know God today, they will have a marvelous chance to choose salvation

and enter eternal life.

Earlier I talked about that picture of a small, starving Sudanese girl crawling towards a

food shelter.

The name of the South African photojournalist who snapped the photograph is Kevin Carter.

Kevin Carter took many snapshots of humanities' evil.

He was disturbed and wrote this in his suicide note.

"Vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain…of starving or wounded

children, of trigger-happy madmen" (Capture the Moment-The Pulitzer Prize Photographs,

2001, edited by Cyma Rubin and Eric Newton).

Kevin Carter was overwhelmed by the suffering he witnessed, the hopelessness, the lack of

any real solutions to human suffering.

He committed suicide at age thirty-three.

You know, I didn't personally know the little girl in the photograph or Kevin Carter.

But I believe that their lives have value to God.

I believe that someday that little girl will be resurrected to a world where there is no

war, and no starvation and no refugee camps.

She will get to know her Creator and understand the difference between good and evil.

She will have the opportunity to choose God.

The terrifying message of the Great White Throne Judgment is that God will destroy those

are wicked, who refuse to repent, in the lake of fire.

The wonderful message of the Great White Throne Judgment is that the majority of humanity

who never had the opportunity to know the true Creator will have a chance to know God

as their Father and choose salvation through Jesus Christ.

Flash Mob Cleaning with Stuart Edge - Random Acts - Duration: 4:53.

Hey you guys, we are here with Stuart Edge,

a fellow purposeful prankster who has his own YouTube channel.

Yeah.

We thought that we'd combine forces today

So why don't you walk me through it.

Well, you know what they say, kindness equals cleanliness.

Do they say that?

No, they don't, but if they did, they would be right.

Do you have a feather duster?

Always.

Don't you?

Thank you.

Clean!

I will ask someone for a cleaning supply,

and if they give us the cleaning supply,

we're going to blitz in and clean their house

and then we're out.

Bummer.

We set up all this and no one answers.

No one answered, to the next house.

It's a no on this one too.

[knocks]

Hi, sorry to bother you.

That's alright.

Would you happen to have a broom I could borrow?

A broom..

Thank you so much.

Can I do anything to repay you?

I could clean your house for you if you'd like.

I'll clean your house.

Let's clean your house!

Let me grab that.

We'll clean the house.

What?

Yes!

Hey, sorry to bother you.

Would you happen to have a vacuum?

Uh, do we have a vacuum?

A vacuum.

I'm cleaning and I need some paper towels.

Uh, yeah!

Sure.

I'm cleaning my place, and I just need some paper towels.

I have a couple, like, napkins?

Yeah, that would work.

Redken Curvaceous Curl Dive | Puerto Rico | Quest for the Perfect Deep Conditioner - Duration: 14:53.

Hey guys so I am back

And if you're curious about my thoughts on this Redken curvaceous cur dive deep conditioner stay tuned

Okay guys, I am back and so this is my hair all rinsed out and

It works out pretty well my hair, it's feeling super soft my curls are really defined

So I ended up purchasing this product on a recommendation from niche

Niche niche

Hard to pronounce it but I'm a link her channel here, so I'm a link her channel here

So you guys can tune into that video?

But she reviewed this and swear by this

And she had posted and raved about it on Facebook and everything and I had found it on Amazon. I was like girls

It's too expensive. I know you're a stylist so you get a discount so I know you ain't paying what I'm looking at.

and so I was like I'm not gonna buy this so I'll just put it in my cart and um I

Have this extension or an Amazon called honey that

Kind of tracks the prices of things cuz you know things can fluctuate in price on Amazon it can go up

They can go down and so honey kind of keep track of that

And it will show you like the lowest price the highest price or whatever so I was like well I'll

Just see if it go on sale or something and I'll grab it at that point because you get 6.1 ounces

And I think originally this is like $30, so I was like yeah, no, I'm not gonna pay $30 for six ounces of conditioner

That's too much

And she was like I was the bomb and all this I was like yeah

We'll see Teandra is not gonna know so she not paying $30, but anyway, so then I got random alert

Sometime last week or the week before that it had dropped in price I think about 10 or 11 dollars

So I ended up in like nineteen dollars, which to me is still too too much

But because she raved about how good it was so so much

I wanted to go ahead and purchase it so I

Ended up purchasing it and trying it and so this is my first impression on this. you guys saw me

Put it on my hair. I showed you what it looked like when I was all done

I just kept it in those four twists

And they have put a processing cap on top with the towel and left it off for about 45 minutes. While I

folded a load of laundry

And then I came back on when I showed you before I rinsed it out and so this is what it's looking like

all rinsed out now, so I'm going to spin around and show you what my hair is looking like

So this is what it look like and I want to get a little closer to show you up close

What the curls?

So this is what it's looking like up close with the curls what they're looking like how defined

They are and as you see they're really defined

So this is usually my

What I would deem problematic area does get like super frizzy

Under here usually is this section right here

But as you guys can see

Still frizzy, but it's not super super bad

Which somebody tell me I need to try and elasticity treatment for that and there was the Ouidad

Elasticity treatment so I did purchase that as well so you'll get review and see if it's able to help this

Areas my hair really gets frizzy so my hair does feel super soft. I do think it's a rather expensive product

Let's see how much I used I probably used like a third of this container so about 2 ounces

So I'll get about 3 uses out of this so for that price, I don't

I'm not like super in love with it once

It was like set on my hair and after I took the processing cap off but before I set out

I thought it was gonna be like this

Amazing thing, but now that is rinsed out my hair is nice, and it does feel soft. It does feel moisturized

but it's not like the

The best feeling like I've ever had in my so for that reason

I'm gonna have to give this maybe like an eight out of ten

I'm have to knock it two down. Knock it two points down for the price and the way that it makes me feel afterwards

But if you can afford it. I definitely recommend you picking it up

I do have it listed below in my Amazon influencer

List so if you want to purchase it from Amazon feel free to do that

I definitely recommend use the honey to a watch to see when the price drops on it

and

That way you can get a cheaper price on there or see if you're able to find it somewhere close to you use the coupon

On it so that's my my first impression review for this Redken curvaceous curl dive

So if you have any questions leave them down in the comment section, and I'll get back to you on this

For today's question I want to know

What is the best vacation you ever have where'd you go and what made it special for you so for me

it will probably my 30th birthday my wife, and I went to Puerto Rico, and it was amazing the

scariest thing that I did on that vacation was I went to the

Bioluminescent Bay so I was kayaking in a dark

And you can see like these

Blue lights light up every time our paddles touch the water or something moved in the water

And I'll insert like a little clip I can find on YouTube

I tried to take pictures of it, but it was just something that you couldn't really see on camera

there's a

bioluminescent plankton living in the bay that

Phosphorus is when you disturb the water all that means is there's a little creature that causes a chemical reaction

That produces a flash of light, just like a Firefly, but you can fit three of these on the tip of a needle

Looks amazing again

This isn't the only place in the world you can find these little creatures

But this Bay has the highest concentration of them and that makes it the brightest in the entire world

The normal camera all you really see is black

So I brought one along that allowed me to capture this light the way the human eye sees it

for one of the very first times

So I was just kind of engrossed in a moment, and I'm like super scared

I've never been kayaking before it and it was at night, and I had to be in the kayak by myself

So it was a terrifying experience, but it was so worth it for me, so

Curious to know what are you guys?

Favorite vacation spot, but you've been to so far and what made it that memorable for you then made it your favorite

And now insert the song of the week here

Where my

Me don't give a fuck

This is a reminder for you guys to be blessed be fearless intentionally
