Jeremy Aschenbrenner, The BA Guide here to tackle another question for you should I get

a business analyst certification if I am already currently a business analyst this question

comes a lot because there are a lot of organizations and companies that are always touting their certifications

and saying come get certified come prove your skills show your knowledge etc and current

business analysts are going is this worth it should I spend all that time and effort

studying for the exam paying the money to take the exam and then keeping my certification

up to date is it all worth it and my answer really comes down to it depends if you're

a current business analyst that has just gotten the role up through somebody with about three

years or so of business analysis experience i don't think it makes sense for you at this

point to get a certification I say get up through your three years of experience you're

going to learn a ton more on the job right now then you would through a certification

your brain should be full at the end of every week with new knowledge and learnings both

from the successes that you've had as well as the failures within projects so between

zero to three year current business analysts no certification just go do the work get familiar

get comfortable with the various techniques and tools for those business analysts with

three to five years of experience that is where i am on the fence you could go get a

certification at this point you've already learned a lot on the job you've gone through

a lot of projects likely had some major successes as well as some major failures and you've

learned from both of those you've learned some of the best practices the dos and the

don'ts so if you're a business analyst with three to five years of on the job experience

it is kind of up to you if you want to go get that certification and for those business

analysts with five plus years of experience i do recommend that you get a certification

once you're at that level of experience you're likely looking for some type of promotion

or a move into some specialized business analyst role within the company and that certification

can help you show that you are the best candidate for that role that you are going above and

beyond you are not only learning inside of the organization through the projects but

you are also taking that learning the standards and the best practices and getting that certification

through a recognized organization so to come full circle if you're a current business analyst

with zero to three years of business analyst experience i don't recommend you get a certification

at this point keep learning keep working through projects learning new techniques and learn

on your own not designated towards a specific exam if you have three to five years of business

analyst experience you're on the fence if you really feel strongly about getting a certification

go for it if you don't dont it is nothing that is really cut and dry it is up to you

it depends on where you feel you are at from a learning perspective and if you're a business

analyst with five plus years of experience i do recommend you do get some type of certification

it'll help to solidify your expertise within the business analyst world and it will show

the organization that you're passionate and you're ready to move onto the next step <amazing

music plays>

Putin Orders Urgent Increase in Veteran's Pensions - Duration: 2:47.

Good afternoon, colleagues.

The Government, in particular the Finance Ministry, worked at the State Duma today to amend the 2017 budget ahead of discussions of the budget for 2018 and the subsequent two years.

What I would like you to take note of is military pensions.

This is what I would like to say. It is true that military pensions nearly doubled, or more precisely, increased by 90 percent, between 2011 and 2017.

In the past, we indexed military salaries and military pensions simultaneously.

I have noticed that the 2018 budget stipulates the indexation of military salaries on January 1 and the indexation of military pensions on February 1.

This decision concerns 2.6 million people.

I think we can act as we did in the past, that is, index military salaries and military pensions, as well as the salaries and pensions of the staff and veterans of the other uniformed services,

which include Interior Ministry personnel, the Russian National Guard, firefighters, etc., on January 1.

However, to be able to do this we need to earmark the funds already this year, because military pensions are paid in advance.

If we index military pensions on January 1, military pensioners must receive their money in December, which means that it must be available.

We have sufficient budgetary revenue for this.

I would like the Finance Minister to report on this.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov: Indeed, Mr President, our revenues this year are sufficient for implementing your instructions on indexing military pensions and the pensions of other uniformed veterans from January 1, 2018.

We will take this into account this year and we will implement your instructions.

Yes, please do. I request that the Government oversee this process and take this into account when making plans for the future.

Convert Any 3D Printer To LASER Engraver - Duration: 5:16.

What is up guys, In this tutorial I am gonna show you how to conver any 3d printer

into a powerful 2.5 w laser engraver capable of cutting wood and engraving into almost every material.

So, We are gonna start this project by firstly choosing the right laser module for our needs.

Starting with 500mw laser you will be only able to engrave some shapes into wood, plastic or leather

and you can get that one really cheap for 35 €.

Furthermore, With higher power output lasers you are able to engrave deeper, quicker and also cut some plywood

and that is the reason why I chose a 2.5W laser which is just strong enough to cut 4mm plywood with multiple passes.

And when handling with laser dont forget to put on some safety glasses.

SO, I firtsly detach a fan and extruder and remove the main holder,

so I can drill 2 holes for the screws that are gonna secure a laser to the printer.

All the links of the lasers will be in the description below.

Secondly, we are gonna need 12v to 5v voltage regulator which is necesarray to control the power output of the laser.

3d printer fan port provides 12v at full power but Laser ttl modul only accepts a voltage up to 5v

so that is why we need a voltage step down regulator.

So, after soldering that together, I connect laserd diode, fan, ttl port

and main power input to the smal motherboard that you receive with the laser.

For the main power source I am gonna use this regulated dc power supply

but you can use any 12V power adaptor capable of providin at least 2 amps.

Now lets secure the laser to the main holder with 2 screws.

For best performance I would suggest you also drill some addtional holes for the airflow

but I didn't feel almost any heat generated by the laser so I guess that is not that important.

After that, I connect a 5v regulator to the 12v fan port which is gonna send the command how strong the laser should be during engraving process.

Last thing is to connect the motherboard with the main 12v power input and that it.

Now we can start calibrating the laser by firstly finding the right focus point.

Autohome all axes and try to turn on the fan somewhere from 1-255.

As you can see the laser is turned off at 0 and outputing the maximum power at 255.

Now I would suggest you place a piece of paper on the bed and reduce the power to a minimum

minimum so we can better see if our point is in focus or not.

You can simply adjust that with a small knob on the laser itself.

After you manage to do that, lets hop to the computer and download the needed software for engraving.

Firstly, download an inkscape software and two plugins for laser engraving.

Again, I will put all those links in the description box below.

After installing the inkscape, extract both plugins and copy the content to the written location.

Now, simply open the inkscape and firstly define the workspace of your printer.

After that import your favorite logo and vectorise it by clicking trace bitmat command.

Also, dont forget to resize the image to the final dimensions and place it in the left bottom corner.

So now, the first plugin we are gonna use is the one that are going to fully engrave the whole image on our material.

Choose the right output folder and Set the speed around 1000 and click apply.

The g-code will be generated in the txt file so open it and replace txt ending with .gcode and that is it.

As you can see that method is pretty slow but it can engrave some really nice logos

and also greyscale images but I will cover that up in the next video.

So the second methond is almost the same, you need to set the right engraving speed

and how many passes you want which is very practical if you want to cut some plywood.

I managed to cut balsa wood with only few passes but that is not the most amaizing part.

2.5 w laser is also capable of cutting some 4mm plywood but it takes a bit more time

and much more passes but all in all it is very practical equipment for all tech and diy enthusiasts.

And yea if you are into electronics you would also be able to create your own circuits and many other things

If you have any questions about the build, I would love to answer them and help you with problems that occored during the build process.

Thank you again for watching, lots of cool projects and tutorials are comming up so,

hit that subscribe button and I will see you next week, peace.

Is dog harness beneficial or harmful? - Duration: 5:08.

harnesses are they beneficial or are they harmful? Should you get rid of them

or should you use them all that and more coming up

hello lover my name is Saro and this is Harvey my dog my beagle in this episode

we're going to talk about harnesses but before we go any further let me just

give you this tip that tools are not the solution you can't solve a behavioral

issue using any tool including harnesses if your dog is barking or pulling on the

leash or misbehaving harness is not a tool to use to solve that behavioral

issue you have to deal with the behavioral issue differently many dog

owners are depending on tools and that is the wrong way to approach any

behavioral issue in your dog so let's dive in knowing all these to the idea of

whether the harness is a good idea or not the reason I suggest using a harness

and your dog is because we want to reduce the amount of pressure or the

pressure that it gets to the neck using your dog's collar when your dog

let's say if it's a pulley dog and it pulls and you want to reduce the

pressure from your dog's neck when you put on a harness on a dog it actually

gives more power to the dog to pull on the leash it gives more freedom and

flexibility to pull on the leash they tend to use their shoulders and all

their back and all the legs in front power to pull on the leash so actually

it works against you when you have a dog who's a pulley so think of dog sled dogs

they usually wear harness the reason for that is because it gives them the

freedom and the ability to pull on the sled so actually harnesses teachers and

lets the dog to pull on the leash it doesn't help with the pulling on the

leash so when a dog or a puppy or a older dog (stay) is pulling on the leash

they're putting a lot of pressure on their neck right so that's where we usually put the

collar and they put a lot of pressure on their neck so what happens when a dog is

putting pressure on the neck if you're using a collar it what happens

all that negative energy all that pressure is distributed especially

because they're the neck is very sensitive and it's a sensitive area in

this area it's very sensitive all that pressure is just distributed to their

spine and their spine is connected to all the nerves that is in the it goes in

their body and all that in those all those nerves and joint and including

their neck gets stressed and when they get stressed it causes to develop health

issues including injuries and also cancer so even when you put a harness on

the dog the pressure from the neck is just transferred to somewhere else and

it's alleviated to their shoulders and chest so therefore is the same pressure

that they will put when they are wearing a collar but instead of the pressure is

spread to the neck and shoulders and the chest so now it's less the pressure is

less but still there's a negative force active in their chest and in their body

so in general harness doesn't help or reduces the pressure it just distributed

differently so I don't recommend harness to be used for dogs who have who tend to

be pulling on the leash you're better solution or the healthier solution

would be to train them Harvey is sleeping now I hope that answers your question if

you want to become an educated dog lover if you want to have a well-behaved dog

make sure to subscribe to my channel and if you liked this video give it a thumbs

up and share know until next time from with your dog

What My PARENTS Think | Scamp 13ft Trailer - Duration: 3:41.

The fact that I also grew up in a trailer house,

two bunk beds, myself, Tori, Roxane and Vall,

All in that size. So I've been there done that, I know it's possible.

So I had confidence in you, I knew you had looked into it for a long time

and I knew that it could be done.

I imagine it would have been the case of any real experience

and you and Barron in that kind of close confinement

you know, would find yourselves to be truly compatible and at the same time

what a great way to find out.

I've kind of build my career on less is more and from an 80/20 rule

you know, 20% of what you do, everybody does, is 80% of results so focus there.

So we had the Scamp here

the door faced out this way.

I'm for it, I guess minimalism is an effort of

reducing crap and what doesn't matter

and so I mean you're certainly

taking that to a large end as far as size and footprint and all of that and

most people would not have the boldness to do that

and I'm really proud of you for doing that and

you know, we'll see where it goes there's no requirement

that that now has to be your ongoing existence in life but at the

same time it may be and/or more likely you will find aspects of it that will definitely

be lifelong

Well, I'm an Iowa boy and so my very first job is a thing called de-tassle corn

and it was a nasty job getting up 3:00, 4:00 in the morning taking a bus to fields

an hour away and then being in the wet corn only to have the afternoon

just you know burning hot in the high nineties and it's hard work and you're

literally able to take the harvest and sustain yourself with it so what you

guys are doing is direct food product. It's great to get your fingernails dirty

and realize, you know, at a ground level (wink wink) you know where our food source

comes from, so very cool.

When I learned was..

I'm gonna say experienced. I experienced what I assumed

and what I had pictured

I experienced it viscerally.

I'm just gonna continue to be a student. You are kind of the teacher in this regard for me.

Be safe, be good, be happy.

Live in the moment.

Thank you, dear. I love that you would wonder my thoughts on this stuff.

On to the next adventure!

Seymour | Movie [HD] | Roof Raven studio - Duration: 1:23:49.

"Roof Raven" studio presents

a Daniel Haroutunian film

SEYMOUR

All of those, of whom about I write, are living in me

and with their presence I prove that until this moment

every record about them is fake.

And it sounds fake because I think of them with everlasting love.

Here this sentence is already feels fake to me…

Anyway,

I'll start from regular author's prologue.

What about to present to you is not a story, but an amateur movie.

Those who have watched the filmed material

warned me to better leave any hope about having a big profit.

Killer!

Seymour!

Hi.

Hello.

It has been many years since I'm keeping your notebook

with its' 187 poems.

At the age of 22 you have gathered many poems.

After mine any written work, I could imagine they would go on sale immediately.

And I was urging you to get your poems published.

It's forbidden, yet it's forbidden.

Those poems are too eastern, too "Lotus-like".

It feels like the author turned his back on surrounding world.

I eat the food from our refrigerators,

drive our soviet cars,

confidently take our medicine when I'm ill

and having high hopes with our soviet army.

But not a single line in my works depicts that reality.

In this passing years I understood one strange but an incontestable fact.

I desperately need for people to talk with me,

ask questions,

find out everything about this dead man.

Now everything is clear.

I am driven by a split overwhelming confidence

that I know you better than anyone in the world.

Seymour is getting married.

At that time I was at hospital because of pleurisy.

I was given just two days.

That meant that I hardly would be able to get to wedding,

stay a couple of hours and be back.

I was late for two hours

but it turned out that I could go even later

because Seymour didn't showed up for some inexplicable reason.

Can't remember such a hot day.

How does your dearest mother doing?

You're Carlen, right?

No.

Really?

You awfully look like him, no one told you that?

Never.

Are you spouse's friend or the fiancé's?

Frankly I'm…

You better be quiet if you're spouse's friend.

If I could have him for few minutes...

Predator.

I'm not kidding.

Did anyone saw his relatives?

No.

Part of them are in Moscow, the other part I don't even know where.

I wish I could see them.

And what would you do?

Don't know,

I would tell them everything.

I can't stand such things, my blood is boiling.

What?

You can't just burst into people's lives and then just disappear like that.

Unfortunately I never saw the young man.

Lately I've found out that Mira got engaged.

No one saw him, not even I.

We rehearsed the wedding two times

and each time Mira's poor father was replacing him,

because he wasn't able to find a car to come from Karabakh.

He finally came at 1:00, yesterday night with some stupid military car.

And that late he calls Mira, like a crazy, and asks her to come to that hotel.

poor boy really had to "talk" with Mira.

You know Mira, pure soul.

Every stranger exploits her naivety.

And that boy

talks with her in that disgusting hotel until seven o'clock of the morning.

Which hotel was it?

Don't know in which hotel.

What do you care?

Are you his friend?

We... Grew up together.

You're a happy man.

Eddie!

I'm sorry.

Oops!

His head!

Seymour!

Zozo?

Um...

Yes, Zozo.

Did you missed me?

You haven't changed a lot from our last meeting,

Only your hair has gone.

Sybil!

Come on!

Let Seymour have a rest.

Did you see that?

How can a person drive like that?

What if he hits us?

Indeed, he must not drive like that.

Neither the policeman doesn't know a thing.

He said we should wait until the car is moved.

So?

We'll just going to sit here? I'm dying of heat.

Could you move a bit? I'm choking!

But I can't move no more!

Give me a smoke at least.

Aha...

What about you?

Thank you, I don't smoke.

And you soldier?

Me neither.

I'm sorry,

I'm sorry,

can I take a look at your cigarette box?

This?

Yes.

Thank you.

"Stolen from Gor's and Edita's house".

Gor's and Edith's

Very interesting,

I've never seen such a thing before.

That thought was given to me by Mira's parents.

Here.

I swear, I never seen such good people.

You can't even imagine how many books her mother have read.

I wish I had read 10 percent of that.

But did she approved the marriage?

Lately I was in Moscow for that reason…

She was far too intelligent to intervene in such questions.

This morning I saw her first time being upset like that.

And it's because of Mira's disturbance.

And what was she saying?

Nothing in particular that could be considered offensive.

She only said

that Seymour is potentially homosexual

and is afraid of marital responsibilities.

You see, she was attending to a psychologist for years now,

she is very wise.

Ah, yes, yes...

And what took that woman to such a conclusion?

What?

Why does she think that way?

How can a normal person behave like that?

He can't, really.

Listen,

how can a normal person, a night before his marriage

say some stupid things to her bride.

When Mira explains, like to a child,

that it's not possible because everything has already been organized,

her father spent lots of money.

He answers that he's sorry, but now he's just too happy now and he needs a rest.

Foolishness.

Judge yourselves if you have a brain,

Does it looks like a normal person?

Or a person that needs to be in jail?

Oh God, oh God I don't know…

What to say.

Anyway, I truly believe that…

Alright, be quiet for a minute.

Do you know Shushanna Abrahamian?

No...Yes...Um...

A theatre actress? She used to be in radio.

Yes, yes.

And did you ever noticed that

she have a crooked smile, like on only one side?

Yes, I did noticed.

It turns out that she have some sort of a disorder

and do you know why?

Why?

They say that it's your "normal" Seymour hits her.

Аnd they put nine stitches on her face.

Are you serious…?

May I ask?

I allow.

Mira's mother told me

two hours ago.

By the way,

you know, who I think you are?

I think that

you're Seymour's brother.

You even look alike, judging by his stupid photo.

and I know that his brother had to come. Someone, I think his sister told Mira.

Are you his brother?

Yes.

I knew it.

I'm not that stupid, I assure you.

As soon as you sat into the car I knew who you are.

Didn't I told you that he's his brother? Didn't I?

Yes, you did.

And I know very well that your brother does not operate calluses,

no need to be witty about it.

He used to take part in "Smart kid" show.

What?

On the radio, right?

Yes, yes.

On the radio. Yes, yes!

It's wonderful,

wonderful...

My husband…

It's some kind of a mystery,

their whole family was with made up names.

Alright, stop it! Relax!

I'm not going to.

They say his brother is ridiculously smart.

College at the age of sixteen, perfect diploma.

But if he's considered smart after all this

then I'm Mahatma Gandhi.

Sorry, Sorry…

My goodness!

We need to do something,

we need to call Mira and tell her we're going to be late, poor will go insane.

Yes.

There's a café on the corner.

Yes.

Oh!

Let's go drink something and I'll call!

You too.

We want to go drink something, then call, care to join us?

We want to drink something, then call, will you join us?

I think he dont hear you.

We want to go drink something! Will you come?!

I understood, I understood!

He's Mira's father's deaf-mute uncle.

Oh God...

There's a cafe' on the corner.

We can go, drink some coffee and you'll call.

It's closed!

I don't know of any other near cafe's.

We'll hardly find a taxi here also.

Аnd what do you suggest?

We could...

Our apartment isn't far from here,

10 minutes of walk.

We can go have some rest

and you'll call.

Call?

What if you brother is there?

I don't think so, surely isn't.

Then let's go, I'll call at least.

I'm married to the most predatory being in the world.

How much do you smoke a day?

Seymour...

Remember how I put you in front of this bike when you were five

and circled you around the whole stage?

Sometimes I feel like I never got off from that bike.

Those were good days.

Do you remember that game?

You loved it when you were a kid.

The point of the game was to hit the wall with a ball

to make it bounce back above opponents' heads

and make it hard for them to catch it.

I wasn't so bad at that game.

Wasn't so bad?

You were great at that game. Don't be unnecessarily modest.

So great, that no one was willing to play it with you.

And for that reason I was usually playing alone.

Yes…

Buddy always tried to play like you.

Same way of throwing the ball…

was moving like you.

In other words, copying you.

But none of that was working, he was always losing.

It was only a play for us and victory didn't really mattered.

You're being modest again.

You always wanted to win

and you knew very well that you're better than everyone.

"Wisdom, before taking an action

always bothers and suspects

and that is why he always wins"-

Zhu ZI,

book number...

36-th.

Buddy got sad every time he lose.

And you were getting angry at him claiming that there's no reason to be sad.

I never wanted him to be sad.

He was very sensitive.

Even in his childhood.

Buddy loves you.

I know.

You're being too rude with him.

My love to him is so big and pure

that I can't even show it to him.

Eh Seymour, Seymour…

Catch.

Seymour!

Seymour!

Seymour!

Seymour...

It seems that he's not here.

Ah...Wonderful.

It's even hotter here than outside.

Just a second.

Excuse me.

Go on.

I wouldn't mind a drink.

I'll call later,

my mouth is so dry I can hardly speak.

Let me look.

And don't forget the ice,

if there is any.

Private!

What are those pictures?

Those are the photos of children who participated in our program.

Never heard about it.

Was it a kids show?

Not really.

It was before Seymour showed up and after he left.

When he was around it was something different-

just conversations between kids around a round table.

Were you in it too?

Yes sir.

I'd like to see how they'd make my child take part in such stupid thing.

I would never let my kid to show off in front of everyone.

Their lives always go wrong.

And since his childhood was ruined he'll never grow up.

Mira's mother was saying so.

Your brother will never learn how to behave in public.

He won't adapt to this marriage.

Mrs. Naira said it just like that. She was, right?

I don't give a damn what Mira's precious mother was babbling about my brother!

Or what some dilettantes and sons of bitches talk about him!

Since Seymour was ten he was already being discussed

from high intellectuals to professors.

He had all the right to be smug about himself, but he wouldn't do it!

Seymour is a poet – a true poet!

And even if he hadn't written a single line

you still wouldn't be worth a single hand of his.

I'll go get some drinks.

I'm sorry,

can I call from here?

Sure.

Very well, We'll wait.

Yes, yes.

What happened Seymour?

Nothing.

Seymour you're always sad. it can't go like this.

I'm not sad.

I'm rather happy,

although I'm not sure that it's what I need.

You need to sleep.

I don't want to.

Seymour...

do you remember your work? In which a boy catches a fish.

After catching the fish his lips start to hurt

and when the kid brings the fish home and puts it in an aquarium

he sees that the fish is wearing his clothes.

So?

I think you wrote it for Walt.

Yes.

You always wanted to show off your wisdom, isn't that right?

I wrote it in a whole different intentions.

Oh… of course.

With very kind intentions, you compared a child – your brother, with a fish.

We all live on the same ground,

and they, for your information, have the same right to live as we do.

For your information, fish live in water.

A joke… with good intentions.

Humans always considered themselves higher than...

for example – ants.

Maybe it is true,

but I don't think it's reasonable enough to squash a whole "family".

No, you haven't changed.

Before all… "that"-

what we're we talking about?

Mira.

Once I called her.

It was strange, she was constantly saying

"Hello"

"Hello"

She almost hung up the phone.

I tried to convince her to run away and get married.

Only us,

nobody else.

How terrible it is

when you tell someone about your love.

And for an answer you hear-

"What?

Can't hear you,

what?

what…"

Vedanta commands:

but...

but above all – to serve.

To nurture their children-

with love,

sincerely,

and care.

The child is a guest in the house which we must love and respect,

but do not rule over him.

Because the child belongs to...

God.

[pray - Our Father]

How delightful,

complicated

and wise.

And that's why it's true.

For the first time in my life I feel the wonder of responsibility.

Everybody sleeps.

I need too,

but I can't.

Someone needs to stay awake

with the happy man.

I'm here.

Ah, it's wonderful,

wonderful.

You know, it got so breezy and nice here.

Can I ask you a question?

Of course.

Excuse me,

but would it be considered ungraceful if I ask about that incident

of which Edith was speaking?

I mean about those nine stitches, do you remember?

Your brother must have...

accidentally…

Who's Edita?

My wife.

Yeah, sure.

Hm... yes.

So was it an accident or…?

What is this foolishness Mrs Susanna?

What did you say?

I'm sorry. I must have said something odd.

Young man…

I reached, at last, it must have took me an hour.

Is it cold?

Hm... Yes.

I have never been in such a hot room.

What did they say? Were you talking with Naira?

I was talked with everyone.

You can relax, everything is in order now.

What does that mean? What happened?

Means that our fiance' no longer suffers from "Happiness".

With whom you're were talking?

Already told you – everyone, except the bride of course,

she ran away with the fiance'.

What? what?

Oh God, why is it so sweet? what did you put in it?

Ran away?

What do you care? Don't bother, you'll live longer.

It appears so Seymour was already at their house when they arrived.

Mira packed her stuff and they left.

And now they're inviting us to a wedding.

What did Mrs. Naira say?

Mrs. Naira? Oh she's just wonderful.

It's hard to believe how she talked– very calmly and courteous.

She said that Seymour promised to go see a psychologist.

I don't know this all might turn out well.

Ah...I'm out of energy to think anymore.

Let's get out of here.

I'll take my cigarettes.

Wait, are you going there?

I don't know, if I go then only for couple of minutes.

Wait! Wait! I'm coming too.

Thank you.

Goodbye!

Goodbye, thanks for your hospitality.

By the way Edie.

Have you read Salinger?

Goodbye.

Do you have home?

Is there someone who takes care of you?

Seems that it's doves in the park.

You're sad again.

I'm not sad – I'm just not happy.

Can't sleep again?

You want some?

No?

Seymour…

don't you think you're yearning for perfection in everything?

You can't do that. You must accept others' and also your own flaws.

I don't deny.

Could you...

Tell me about Shushanik?

Tell you what?

Well,

for example,

how did it turned out that she got nine stitches on her face?

Oh, of course,

it's your week spot, isn't it?

Did you got mad at the cat or the tenderly love she had for it?

Enough!

Or maybe you understood, that she carres the cat for an another purpose.

Of course.

You were looking.

That was the reason.

It is typical in poetry,

especially in poetry that bears a Chinese or Japanese influence,

to depict everything in very bare manner, deprived of anything ornamental.

It was typical to your poetry too.

The day of your suicide you wrote a little thing

on paper that was on a hotel's table.

In it you wrote about a little girl,

that sitting in a car was turning her doll's head

so it could look at the poet in a car next to her.

Boo-Boo even once said that the girl really existed.

Even if that really happened, which I doubt,

that girl wasn't going to turn her doll's head in my direction.

She completely identified herself to this made-up story.

I'm happy,

and scared at the same time.

I love her so much.

How I need her tender heart.

She was fascinated with this animal

and wants me to be fascinated too.

Even in the dark, I can sense her estrangement from me.

It's always like that,

when I can't be fascinated by the same thing that she is.

My mother said when you'll be free

for longer time

you should visit our home again.

Poor girl,

she listens to you only when her mother does.

I dined at their house last month.

There was food made by Mira on the table too.

Tears filled my eyes.

Saigyō wrote:

"I don't know why, but appreciation always flows with shining tears".

My mother, just out of curiosity, wanted to know

if there was anyone with mental illness in your family?

Don't get me wrong, you know how worried she is– wants to know everything.

Her mother was concerned about a whole other thing.

Three things, to be exact.

The first one is impossible to explain.

The second one is that there's definitely something strange about you

if you haven't yet...

"Charmed" Mira.

And the last one...

She's still worried about that time when you said you want to be a dead cat.

When her mother asked…

"Seymour!

What are you going to do after the war?"

You answered-

That I think it's never going to end

and I know only one thing-

if it ends

I'd wish to be

a dead cat.

"Seymour!

you're crazy. Go to the doctor Sirunian."

I know that you were joking. If you explain to her – she'll understand.

So explain Seymour! Explain! She's begging you.

In one of the legends of Zen Buddhism, the master have been asked:

"Which is the world's most precious thing?"

And he answers:

"A dead cat, because it is priceless."

She calmed down.

But can't wait to go home and share this with her mother.

This kitty is so pretty, isn't it?

She's not saying "cute" anymore.

"You scared her so much that she changed the way she talks."

Mira. Do you know what is sentimentalism?

We're sentimental, when we're more tender whit any being, than god.

Of course, god likes little cats,

but probably without worn shoes, like in colour movies.

That artistic details he left to the screenwriters.

She worries when her love either comes or goes.

Аppears and disappears. She doubts that her love is real,

because it's not so joyful and sweet

like this cat.

Lately I was afflicted by a question.

Isn't the true poet or a creator, the only one?

Of course, you can't give that title to a scientist or, especially a psychologist.

Although, among psychologists there was a great, epic poet – Freud.

Dear reader, In your opinion

what's the most important, soft organ for a visionary?

Of course – the eyes.

You can yet again remember my quotation from Kafka.

Is it all clear now?

Do you understand that shout comes from the eyes?

A specialist can insist that death comes from pneumonia, loneliness, or...

a suicide.

Isn't that clear– the real reason of visionary death.

Seymour, you're smiling rarely. It's wrong.

There, much better.

Zozo!

Zozo!

"Zozo?"

Did you really think that I'm your grandpa?

Where are you?

Me?

I'm here Seymour.

Don't you see me?

You?

Yes.

Leave that and come to me.

Where are you?!

Why have you came?

Seymour…

What do you think?

Why are people afraid of the dark?

See, In instance, for blind people it's always dark, right?

But they're not afraid.

And…

what about non-blinds? They're afraid that they won't see and will fall?

No.

People are afraid, because in the dark they see themselfs.

They're left alone with their own fears.

Oh! look who's here…

An interesting creature, right?

Does she love you?

Yes.

No! You're wrong!

She's in love with only a marital life!

She instinctively plays in her little cage!

Her anticipations about marriage are both nonsensical and dramatic!

She want to buy some curtains, clothing for pregnant women…

She even wants to leave her paternal home,

wants many children that'll look like her, but not you!

No.

Yes!

What else could you expect from a child that runs around her mother? Huh?!

If you love her so much, why were you hiding her from Buddy?

I wasn't…

You knew his answer, knew it very well.

Buddy would hated her, if he'd knew why she wants to marry!

But can you hate just for that?

Probably yes,

but all of that seems so humanly to me.

Buddy won't understand.

I love Mira and consider her infinitely brave.

Brave?

Love her?

Fool!

Stop running after her. I'm begging you,

can you listen to me for once? For once in your life.

No.

What?!

I said- No!

Whole body hurts,

But there's no pain.

My hand weakens, Head is heavy again.

What to do?

How to escape?

Tells the voice in my head That sleep, is what I need.

Darkness prostrated everywhere.

Darkness blinded eyes of mine.

Besides the sea, nothing's there,

The sea, in which I swim alone.

[With love-BooBoo]

Year 1972, camp.

Dear Bessie, Les, Beatrice, Walt and Waker.

I shall speak from me and Buddy, since he's busy with his job.

That playful and brilliant boy is always busy with something.

We missed you all awfully a lot.

Why was I born so defenseless for such long separations?

Anyway, let's change the subject.

Tonight I saw Buddy in a dream, but in many years later-

completely deprived from my suspicious but loving presence.

He was sitting, and with a giant black typewriter was writing about this day.

Buddy was smoking and was already grey-haired.

Les, he was older than you now.

I was mostly allured by his house's image.

It was simply his childhood dream.

Pretty window, from which he, I'm sure, was looking at the sky form time to time.

Books all around, though there're no shelves,

notebooks, sharpened pencils, his black typewriter and other interesting stuff.

He'd be happy in that house.

And since I wouldn't be able to do it myself at that time,

please tell him that his house is very beautiful.

With thousands of kisses– Seymour.

Tomorrow I'm going to university again.

I know,

I admit...

I know, not often but I know that my most important work

is teaching in auditorium number 325.

I'm your brother, after all, right?

I even have this strange feeling that

there's no such other place

to which I'd go with more pleasure than to that auditorium.

Once you said that:

"During our whole lives we move from one holy ground to another."

Hello?

Mira? Mira, listen.

You father spoke with doctor Sirunian...

And?

He told everything…

About trees and windows. That he told Grandma how to bury her.

In one word – everything.

And?

And listen!

First of all, she said:

"It's a crime that they let him out of the hospital"

I swear,

she told your father that it's expectable, highly expectable

that Seymour can loose his self-control.

We're awfully worried.

Your father even wanted to come and take you back home and…

No mom, I'm not going to come back home now, relax.

Mira, doctor Sirunian said that Seymour is…

Mom!

Mm...

What about your room? Do you feel comfortable?

It's alright.

We didn't get the number we were resting at before the war.

Mira, I'm asking for the last time. how are you? Is everything okay?

Yes mom, for the hundredth of time- yes.

And you really don't want to get back home?

No, mom.

Mira, your father told me yesterday that he's willing to give you some money

for your vacation so you could make a decision.

No thanks.

Mom, this conversation…

I don't understand how could you wait for that boy until the end of war.

Mom, please, let's end this.

Seymour will be back soon.

Where is he?

At the beach.

Alone?

Is he behaving normally?

You talk so, as if he is crazy.

Of cours I'm not, Mira…

I didn't mean that. I…

Though it sounds like it.

Let me call you tomorrow.

Mira, listen to me very carefully.

I'm listening.

As soon as Seymour starts to do strange things, call me, okay?

Mom, I'm not scared of Seymour.

Mira, promise me.

Mira!

Alright, I promise.

Goodbye, say hello to dad.

Take care of yourself.

Where's my Seymie-Seymie?

Sybil…

Have you seen Seymie-Seymie?

Okay, kitty.

Come here.

I want to get into water.

Later kitty, later.

Go and play.

Mommy will go to Mrs Karina,

have a drink and bring you olives.

I still can't finish this work.

Even in the case when I realize what a failed story I wrote about Seymour,

where it obscurely shows my self-establishment

and an attempt to compare with Seymour.

I've concentrated so much around my own "self"

that I forgot about the most important…

The most real.

About a bird that lived among us,

a Buddhist and a true poet.

Who, least of all would like that I write this work.

But Seymour,

can I really delete this work?

Delete myself…

Seymie-Seymie! Will you come to walk?

Hello Sybil.

Will you come to walk?

I was waiting for you.

What's up?

What?

I said- anything new?

Daddy is coming tomorrow on an airplane.

It's time for your dad to come. I was waiting for him too,

still waiting.

Where's that woman?

That woman?

It's hard to say Sybil. She could be anywhere.

At a stylist for example- dyeing hair milk-white,

Or in a room, sewing dolls for poor children.

Ask simpler questions Sybil.

What a pretty dress you're wearing.

Most in the world, I like blue hats.

But it's yellow.

All yellow.

Really?

Come a little closer.

You're right.

I'm an idiot, idiot.

Will you come to walk?

I'll think about it.

Really, I'm thinking.

Narine told me that, when you were playing a piano, you let her sit next to you.

Narine told you that?

Yeah.

Well you know how that happens Sybil.

I was sitting there playing a piano, you weren't there.

Narine showed up and sat next to me.

What should've I done? Push her?

Yeah! Push!

No, no Sybil.

But do you know what I did? Guess.

What?

I imagined that she is you.

Let's go to walk.

Alright, I think I can.

Stay here.

Next time– push her!

Whom?

Narine?

No, I won't.

You keep remembering her.

Mixing memory and desire.

Hey Sybil,

do you know, what we're going to do now?

We'll try to catch a Bananafish.

Whom?

Bananafish.

Do you like candles?

Candles?

Candles.

Very much, and you?

Do you like olives?

Olives? Very much.

Olives with candles– can't live without them.

And do you like Narine?

Yes, yes of course.

She's nice to little dogs living in front of our hotel.

You may not believe, but there are some girls who like to beat them with sticks.

But Narine – never.

Doesn't hurt them, doesn't mock them.

That's why I like her.

And I like chewing candles.

Everybody likes.

We're not going to swim today.

Come to me!

I can't see them.

Understandable, they're very strange fish.

And their lives are very sad.

Do you know what they do Sybil?

No.

They swim to a cave full with bananas.

They seem like normal fish before they enter

but inside they act like pigs.

We'd not forget, right?

On his turn one fish entered the cave

and ate seventy eight bananas.

And Bananafish eat so much,

that they get fat and are no longer able to exit.

What happens then?

Then when?

What are you talking about?

Bananafish.

You mean when they can't get out?

Aha.

Makes me sad to say, but they die.

Why?

They get sick with banana fever,

it's a horrible disease.

Seymour...

Seymour, Seymour...

can't sleep again?

Too bad.

You'd see so many interesting things there,

many familiar and unfamiliar faces, long gone friends and relatives.

Leave!

Why did you came?

Oh…I wasn't gone, just a little vacation.

But I felt you need me,

you were calling me.

No.

Lie!

Looking in my eyes and lying to me!

You think it'll work?

I know you too well! Didn't you come to me yourself?

Remember, there, in the forest?

Wandering alone.

You needed a friend and I came! Have you forgotten?

No I haven't.

You were weird for everyone.

"Crazy one."

Only I could understand you!

Buddy was with me.

Buddy was jealous of you, he needed you!

You were the only one who was interested in his idiotic stories.

Enough… Enough…

You know it too well that I'm right.

You're wrong.

Coward!

You're not even brave enough to look into my eyes!

Imagined yourself a poet.

You think you can just forget me, like nothing happened?!

Murderer!

Change People's Minds? | Persuade, Influence, and Motivate Without Facts - Duration: 7:51.

How To Change Minds [0:00:00]

Hey, man.

I get it.

You're right, you know what you're talking about you've got the superior intellect.

Why can't other people see your point of view?

In today's video, five steps to get people to change their mind.

[Music] So, if you can't tell, that intro is a joke

because if you are so stuck with your own views, if you think that your facts are irrefutable,

you're going to have a very difficult time changing somebody else's mind.

Why?

Because facts alone will not convince somebody that you are right.

Yes, you would like to believe I can just overwhelm them with all the stats all the

data and guess what?

It's going to fall on deaf ears.

Also, if you ostracize them, you try to separate them from you, you try to create separate

groups, you're going to find that, yes, you're going to go to war with these people.

If you try to humiliate them you try to belittle them you make them -- you call him an idiot

because of the way they believe, guess what?

You're going to further -- you're going to create an enemy.

And they don't care if you're right or wrong, they just want to beat you.

So, in today's video, I want to start it off with a question.

This question is actually for you.

The question is what fact would change your opinion of your strongest beliefs?

So using that question, do you have beliefs that would change very strong beliefs that

you've held for a long time that would change if the underlying facts shifted or would you

stick to your opinion?

Because here's the deal is we don't want to look wrong.

I get it.

For the longest time, I believed that my success was a hundred percent my responsibility.

Whether I failed whether I succeeded, it was all up to me.

And then, I started seeing things a little bit differently.

I had friends that got inexplicably, you know, sick they got cancer.

They're dead within six months.

I have other friends that had family responsibilities.

They get a sick kid, they have a parent that starts to age out and they've got to go take

care of them.

All of a sudden, they've got things that happen to them in life.

They've got community responsibilities.

They -- and I start to realize that, okay, there's a bigger thing in here it's not just

the individual.

Although that's very important, I think still has the biggest effect, all of a sudden I

started having to open myself up and this takes me to step number one.

So, starting this off, you have to first listen, you have to understand, and you have to feel

empathy.

So, when you listen that means that you're actually listening.

You are not waiting for your turn to speak, you're trying to listen to understand their

various points.

So, when you are understanding you are all the sudden putting yourself in their shoes.

You're looking at, okay, where are they approaching this from?

Why are they saying this?

You're listening, you're understanding, and then you're starting to feel empathy.

Empathy is when you actually try to feel what that person is feeling.

It's an advanced form of connecting with someone very powerful and something that requires

practice that requires that you are actually open to understanding their point.

But, you want to feel the emotion that's driving whether it's the fear whether it's the hatred

whether it's the frustration.

When you understand when you can emphasize, all of a sudden you have that deeper connection

with that person and that's going to allow us to really just understand where they're

coming from.

Step two, keep this private.

So, you don't want to be having this debate having this talk trying to change this person's

mind with an audience whether it be your kids, whether it be a hundred people, a thousand

people, an online fight because guess what?

Nobody wants to look like a fool in front of an audience or a crowd no matter who they

are.

They want to be right and they will be spiteful, they will be hateful, they will burn the ships

to the ground rather than look like they are a fool in front of other people even though

it does make them look like a fool it makes you both look like a fool.

So, take it back, go talk to him in private say, hey, can I talk to you and just simply

get rid of the audience.

By doing that, all of a sudden you can deeper connect, people are going to be more open

when they no they don't -- they're not being watched.

Step number three, show that your objective.

Now, you can do this by show that you are not married to your own position.

Actually point out that, hey, if these facts changed, I would probably change my point

of view.

What this does is it shows that you're not being driven by the emotion that you are being

driven by the information that's here and that actually you could shift your opinion

on things if the situation changed if more facts were brought to light.

So, you're kind of opening it up to them to bring in basically discussion so that they

could possibly change your point of view.

But what it shows is and studies have shown this whenever they see that you are not married

to your position that you are not stubborn that you are willing to listen to them, they

are actually more willing to they are more willing to change their mind.

Step number four, go back and forth with arguments.

That's perfectly fine, but don't do it more than five times.

That's the magic number.

Once you start to go beyond five times, it becomes a little bit more frustrating, it

can become hostile it can become a fight.

Instead, break it off maybe go talk about something else.

You can bring it up at a later point.

[0:05:08] Again, don't go beyond, you know, five points

back and forth.

This isn't going to be a long tennis match here.

This is going to be more of a marathon engagement where, yeah, you may need to talk to them

five separate times, three to four, you know, kind of points back and forth.

But, all of a sudden, you're letting it marinate you're letting them work on these

points kind of understand where you're coming from.

Next up, give them an out give them an escape hatch.

Don't corner them because if you corner an animal, what happens?

It fights, it feels that it's got to defend itself, but if there's an escape hatch, then

all of a sudden you can disengage and you can deescalate.

So, there's that great movie, The Sum of All Fears and you've got the Russians the Americans

going up right for a nuclear war and then all of a sudden one of the sides takes a step

back.

And what does that do?

It allows the other side not to look weak and they take a step back and then they keep

taking a step back.

They deescalate the whole situation.

They're able to come to peace terms.

And that's what you want to do.

You don't want to escalate it into this emotional fight.

Getting back to what we talked about, you're not going to change somebody's point of view

by overwhelming them with facts by ostracizing them by belittling them.

No, that's just going to harden them in their current state of mind.

Instead, open up that opportunity for them to make the change themselves.

And they will when they realize, okay, this makes sense.

I see I've got an opening, I'm going to go ahead and shift and go with this new train

of thought.

That's what you're looking to do.

Make sense?

All right, gents, now it's your turn.

Let me know what you thought of this video down in the comments.

Spooky Studio Set-up: Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey - Duration: 11:17.

In this video I shoot a spooky Halloween scene

in my small home studio.

Hello I'm Gavin Hoey

and you're watching AdoramaTV

brought to you by Adorama,

the camera store that's got everything

for us photographers.

With Halloween right around

the corner I thought now is a great time

to do a spooky shoot in my small home

studio and I know this doesn't look much

but trust me with a little bit of work

and a great model

this should come together

to make a fantastic Halloween scene.

So what have I got in my small studio?

Let's have a look around the back,

right at the back here I've got

a stretched out piece of fabric

the smoother you can get your background,

the more you'll feel that it just goes on

forever in the final shot.

In front of that I've got some,

well they're just

branches and twigs and things

out of the garden.

They don't look much now.

It's the lighting that will make a difference.

For the lighting I'm using a Flashpoint

eVolve 200 and a couple

of Flashpoint speed lights

and I'll walk you through

each of the lights

as we go through this video.

All we need now is a great model

and we can get shooting.

So to help me out with the shoot today

it's great to have Kerry back in the studio,

now Kerry you're not looking very Halloween like

at the moment, so do you want to go off

and get changed and we'll get ready for

the Halloween shoot.

Oh there you go that's much more Halloween like,

brilliant, well done Kerry!

Let's start with the background for this shoot,

so we've got these sticks here

and flying way overhead

on the boom arm is a light

that is just pointing at the background.

Now this is going to add a atmospheric light

and I'm going to start with that

and see how it looks,

so let's take a shot with that light.

Here we go.

So you can see the effect of that light,

it lights the gray background

and it gives a silhouette of

these branches.

Now you'll notice I haven't mentioned

the strength of that light because,

well it's up to you.

This is one of those techniques where you're

going to take some pictures review

and adjust as you go,

for me that looks just

a little bit too bright

so I'm going to bring the power down

by two stops which I can do using

the remote control here

and I'll take the same shot again

Here we go.

So that has a much darker moodier feel

which I kind of like

but you'll notice the colors,

well they're not really very Halloween,

they're not very night like so

what I'm going to do is change

the white balance in the camera

to a deliberately cold custom white balance,

so I'm going to dial in a custom white balance

of 3,500 K.

Let's take that shot

and see how it's different?

So straight away you can

see how much colder that feels

simply changing the white balance

on the camera adds to the atmosphere

of the shot definitely makes it feel a bit more

Halloween like, now at the moment Kerry

is kind of disappearing into the background

she is a silhouette,

so we have to put some light

on Kerry to bring her into the

shot and I'm going to do it with two lights

you could do it with one

but I'm going to use this one first

as a small separation light.

So this is just my standard speed

light it's on its lowest possible power

and I'm just going to pop it out of frame

and just behind Kerry,

now the reason I want it behind

is it will add a nice little

rim light around the outside

but also I want it to light this way

rather than that way

because we light towards the sticks

then we would put light on them

and they wouldn't be a silhouette anymore,

so let's try this.

As you can see that just adds a little

touch of light over her shoulder

and lifts that picture really well.

Now of course we could actually use this

as the two lights for this shoot

all we need to do is ask Kerry to look towards

that light so Kerry can you just turn towards

that light that's great.

Fantastic, a little bit more round for me.

Superb.

That looks great just

as a simple profile shot.

So at the moment when Kerry's

looking towards the camera

her face is really dark in silhouette still

and that's a shame

because you spent ages in makeup

getting this fantastic look sorted out

and we need to see that in the photos.

That's where this key light comes in.

This one is going to be the light that it is on

Kerry's face but where I put it is

really important.

Now if I have it spun round in my usual lighting position

like that then well the lights going to hit

Kerry's face but also the twigs behind

which means there won't be a silhouette

anymore, so I need to make sure that

I angle the light away, feather it away

from the background and that I don't

have it so close that it appears in the

viewfinder on the shots so something

hopefully around about there is good.

Now again I could meter this

but we've got all sorts of lights going on here

and this is one of those shoots where if you

take the shot and it looks right,

it is right so let's see what we get,

here we go Kerry.

So at the moment the lights on

a fairly low power

and to my eye that's just a little underexposed

so I'm going to turn up that key light power

by a couple of stops

and I'll do the same shot again.

So that's lovely but the whole shot

is really blue and if that's something

that bothers you then you need

something like this a piece of orange gel

so I'm going to put the orange gel up inside

of the softbox completely covering the bulb

and that's going to change the color

that hits Kerry but not the color

of the background

and as you can see Kerry's face

has a little bit more color on it.

Now remember when you add a gel to your light

it might affect the power of that

light so have a look at your pictures

and adjust accordingly.

The only thing missing from this shot is something

in the foreground. We've got a great

background, we've got a great model

and this branch is going to become the

foreground. Now I've popped it on this side

because what should happen

is the lights from this side

will come across and just give

us a little bit of rim lighting

just so this doesn't become a complete

silhouette yes I know I wanted the back

to be silhouettes but this it just needs

a little bit of edge lighting,

so let's have a look and see how this adds to the scene.

So everything is now set the last thing

to complete is Halloween look that we

need is of course smoke now smoke once

you add it into your set you can't

remove it very easily so make sure

you've got everything set and

everybody's ready before you hit that button.

Kerry are you ready okay the art wood

smoke is a little at a time

that's as little as I can add let's take some shots.

Absolutely fantastic so that was great

fun Kerry looks amazing the photos on

the camera look great but there's always

a bit of room for Photoshop so let's get

one of these into Photoshop and we'll do

that right now.

Although I try and get

everything right in camera as much

as I can at the shooting stage occasionally

things don't go to plan and in this case

I really wasn't happy with the quality

of the smoke so I'm going to show you how

to add smoke to your Halloween pictures

from scratch. Now to do it you're going to

need some smoke textures I've got some

free ones over on my blog so head over

to www.gavtrain.com and search for smoke or

use the link in the description below

then download these smoke textures unzip

them and you're going to end up with

half a dozen free smoke textures. Here we

go, so I'm going to add those onto this

picture here and well let's go grab one

and do it so let's get one here

I'm going to go with number two I think first

of all, let's open that one up and then

to add it in I'm just going to go to

select and all across to edit and copy.

I can close that down and go back to edit

and choose paste.

Now when I paste it on it's too small

and it's in the wrong place, I want this

one to go down the bottom and to do that.

I'm just going to use a bit of edit free

transform. Free transform allows me to

stretch out the sides so it actually

fills the entire screen and also I can

drag it around and pop it down here

somewhere I reckon about there looks

good. Click on the tick or press Enter.

When you're happy now to blend that

layer in with the original image.

I'm going to go to the layers panel and change

the blending mode from normal to screen.

Now that looks okay but the the color is

not quite right. We'll deal with that in

a second, lets go and add a bit more

smoke in once we're on a roll, I'm going to

get number one smoke and do exactly the

same thing. Select and all edit and copy

close it down and then back to edit and

paste. We'll use a bit of free transform

edit free transform and we'll just move

this around a little bit and kind of

stretch it out, just grab a handle yeah

that looks pretty good. Okay so click on

the tick or press Enter and change the

layer blending mode to screen.

Alrighty so I'm happy with that but the color of the

smoke is wrong now remember in the

photography stage I added a blue color

by changing the white balance but the

smoke we've added in well that's white

and it doesn't quite fit so we need to

add some color and we can do that really

easily. Now I could use adjustment layers

or I can simply go to image adjustments

and hue/saturation, find the box that

says colorize when you find the box that

says colorize put a tick in that. That's

going to add some color to your smoke and

then you can just change the color by

moving the hue and I reckon something in

the low to hundreds looks pretty good

especially if I add a little less

saturation that looks excellent. Okay

that's one done I just need to go to the

other layer, click it to make it active

and then repeat the process image

adjustments hue/saturation,

find the colorized box and tick it. Note

it might not be the same hue because of

course it's in a different part of the

picture, so you know, that's fine

to have something slightly different as

long as it looks right, it is right and

there you go there is my smoke filled

Halloween picture completed.

It just goes to show with a few twigs from the garden

and a little bit of smoke, a great model

and a couple of hours in makeup you can

create fantastic Halloween scenes even

in a small home studio. Now if you've

We are ready for ESL ONE Hamburg 2017! Greetings from Dota 2 team - Duration: 1:43.

We are in Hamburg - the second largest German city after Berlin and the city where The Beatles started their career.

And today this place will become another stepping stone in Virtus.pro's history.

Listing all the city's attractions may take forever,

but it's worth to note Alster lakes - which sits in the very middle of the city.

And also, Hamburg's beautiful architecture is mind-blowing!

And also, in Hamburg, you can eat a hamburger.

Listen to an opera... in a 300-years old National Theatre.

Seriously, guys. Hamburg's hamburgers.

Ride a bike through these narrow, toy-like streets.

And the biggest tourist attraction right now is the beautiful Dota,

that will begin right in this hotel where our guys are already warming up for their upcoming first games.

Let's take the Hamburg's Major!

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone, we have arrived at Hamburg, we're getting ready for our games!

Stories Of People Being Possessed That Will Terrify You - Duration: 6:29.

According to millennia of religious tradition, our bodies can become vessels for evil spirits

and even ghosts of former humans with nothing better to do now that they've crossed over

to the other side.

The most famous was, of course, the case of Roland Doe that inspired The Exorcist.

But if you're not afraid to look, you can find all sorts of wild tales of people taken

over by demons, spirits, and ghosts.

Loudun possessions

One of the most notorious instances of possession came in the 17th century in the French village

of Loudun, when an entire convent of nuns appeared to have been possessed by a series

of demons with names like Leviathan, Astaroth, Zebulun, and Aegisdramon.

No, wait.

Sorry.

That last one is a Digimon.

Anyway, these nuns appeared during a series of trials that accused the parish priest,

Urbain Grandier, of having made a pact with…

"Could it be…

SATAN?!"

You can probably guess that the priest had not, in fact, signed the souls of some nuns

away.

According to Professor Gary Zabel, his problems actually came from being way too handsome

and doing some not very priestly things with some influential men's daughters.

Nevertheless, in a series of public exorcisms, these nuns screamed, convulsed, and spoke

in devil language, leading to a public hysteria that ultimately ended in Grandier being burnt

at the stake.

The events of the Loudun possessions were famous enough to be turned into a book by

Aldous Huxley called The Devils of Loudun in 1952, which was then adapted as the 1971

film The Devils, but this wasn't the first time these events supposedly happened.

An almost identical case of possessed nuns also ended with a crispy priest in Aix-en-Provence

in 1611.

Clara Germana Cele

The book Demonic Possession: Extraordinary True Life Experiences recounts a tale from

1906, in which a sixteen-year-old South African girl named Clara Germana Cele claimed that

she'd made a pact with Satan, and confessed as much to her priest, Father Erasmus Hörner.

According to the nuns at her school, the girl would rip her own clothes, make sounds like

a wild animal, and could speak languages she had never learned.

Cele would also recoil from the presence of holy items, demonstrated superhuman strength,

was reported to levitate as much as five feet off the ground, and could transform into a

snake-like creature that left fang-like puncture marks in a nun's arm after biting her.

Father Hörner performed an exorcism and though he was able to remove the demon, Satan dropped

the mic by levitating the girl one more time in front of a church full of people as he

made his exit.

Michael Taylor

In 1974, Michael Taylor lived in a small town in England called Ossett, where he began attending

a prayer group during a time of depression.

When the group leader, Mary Robinson, tried to heal Taylor's back injury with Holy Ghost

power, Taylor became obsessed with her, and the two would sit up all night making the

sign of the cross over each other.

As totally wholesome and not-at-all-weird as that sounds, Taylor's wife naturally became

convinced that they were having an affair.

When she confronted them about it in front of the whole church, Taylor began screaming

in tongues and getting violent, causing church leaders to agree that he was possessed and

call for an exorcism.

For seven hours, two ministers prayed over Taylor, and busted over forty demons, but

decided to leave the demon responsible for murder in there until the next day — which

turned out to not be a great idea.

Unsurprisingly, Taylor went home and took the lives of his wife...and her dog.

Police found him wandering the streets, naked and covered in blood, screaming, "It is the

blood of Satan!"

Great news: he was found not guilty.

Bobby Jindal

Unless you're a real exorcism nut, there's a decent chance that Bobby Jindal is the first

name on this list you recognized right away.

He was the governor of Louisiana from 2008 to 2016, he gave the response to President

Obama's 2009 State of the Union address, and was one of many contenders for President in

2016.

What you may not know is that while he was in college, Jindal performed an exorcism on

his, quote, "intimate" but "non-romantic" friend Susan.

This isn't some weird rumor cooked up by a political opponent, either.

He wrote all about it in 1994 in an article for the New Oxford Review called "Physical

Dimensions of Spiritual Warfare."

Noticing that Susan was, quote, "acting strange," Jindal decided to perform an exorcism together

with members of his school's Campus Crusade for Christ, who restrained Susan despite her

attempts to escape, rubbing crucifixes and Bibles in her face and being surprised that

she kept swearing for some reason.

While there is no clear answer as to the cause of the, quote, "sullen mood" that led to Jindal's

suspicion, maybe — just maybe — it was that, according to a Mother Jones article,

she was undergoing treatment for cancer at the time.

Anneliese Michel

How many times would you say is a normal amount of times to be exorcised?

Well, okay, zero is normal, but if you had to be exorcised, you would hope one would

be good, right?

Maybe two?

How about 67?

A Washington Post article from 2005 tells the story of Anneliese Michel, a young woman

in Germany who began arousing suspicion when she refused to walk past a picture of Jesus

and also started to smell like hell — literally.

She would speak in the voice of specific demons and damned souls, including Judas Iscariot,

who apparently threw shade on Hitler by saying he was a, quote, "big mouth" with no real

pull in Hell.

This incident was followed by a series of 67 exorcisms based on a ritual from 1614,

during which Michel stopped eating.

In the end, she was starved into her grave, weighing only 68 pounds at the end of her

life.

"Wow," you might say, "the Middles Ages were messed up."

Nah, this happened in 1975.

Michel's story was the basis for the 2005 film The Exorcism of Emily Rose, so at least

her horrible and needless death led to a towering achievement in cinema.

Brother Hermes

There can't be a need for that many exorcisms, right?

Sure, there are obviously a few circumstances when you've got to do, say, 67 of them, but

generally it seems like you only really get one.

Unless you're Hermes Cifuentes, aka Brother Hermes, an exorcist who claimed in 2012 to

have exorcised a staggering 35,000 demons over 25 years.

That's 1,400 exorcisms a year, or nearly four a day.

He lives in La Cumbre, in the West Andes of Colombia, which presumably looks like that

one scene in Ghostbusters just, like, all the time.

But surely his process has to be pretty simple, right?

A little sprinkle of holy water, a quick one of these:

"The power of Christ compels you!"

And then boom-bam, you're on to the next one.

Right?

Nope.

Brother Hermes paints the allegedly possessed black and places them inside ritually drawn

circles with chicken eggs in each of their hands.

He interviews the demons, they crush the eggs, then he sets the ring on fire.

Okay, fine.

That's rad enough to do 35,000 times.
