It's October
2017
Halloween season, and it's time for the latest edition of the Disney Treasures
Subscription box. And this month's is going to be great! The theme is "Haunted Forest".
Disney can really bring it when it comes to the "not so scary" spooky stuff for Halloween.
So I'm excited to see what's in here.
We're gonna get going on it and see what we've got. Now the first thing I saw in the box right on top was this
trick-or-treat bag. It's from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas",
and it features the dog, Zero. This is really cool!
There you can see Zero a little better.
At the bottom
it says, "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas".
There's the little pumpkin on the end of Zero's nose.
So this is an actual trick-or-treat bag that you could use. Nothing printed on the back, but it's
pretty decent size really.
Looks like it's about 15 and 3/4 inches tall,
and about 11 and a quarter inches wide. So that's an actual bag that you could use for Halloween for trick-or-treating,
or just use it as a small tote to carry around with you, or in my case,
Probably just hang it on the wall. The next item in the box was really big.
Couldn't ignore it. It's a
Maleficent
POP! figure. It's Maleficent in her dragon form.
Really cool. There's the box. This is number
327.
Of course everything in the Disney Treasures box is an exclusive. You're not gonna find it anywhere else. So,
this is really cool.
I need to take it out of the box and see what it really looks like. And there's Maleficent unleashed from her box!
Very nice!
Her dragon form is very cool in the movie,
And very cool as a POP! The green eyes and the purple that goes all the way underneath on the tail.
Don't know if you can really tell it, but that is a big figure, too.
That's solid; a lot of weight to it.
She's about seven and a quarter inches tall.
And next up is a Dorbz figure, and it's the villain or villainess,
however, you want to say it, Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians.
She's smiling looking pretty smug and happy with herself.
Apparently thinking she's got away with something. But we need a closer look. There's Cruella in all her glory!
Green eye shadow, black and white hair,
yellow coat, red mittens, and a smug little smile on her face.
This box is apparently going heavy on the female villains.
But you have to admit, they are some of the best villains in Disney movies. So very cool. Good choices!
Now next. As usual, there's a metal tin in the box with a figure inside. It's a Mystery Mini figure and
the box should give us a clue. The metal tin looks to me like the Haunted Mansion is probably
represented here. The big organ.
That looks like Madame Leota floating head.
There is a
skeleton hand. This must be for the hatbox ghost.
I always look at these as a double item. You get the collectible metal tin, and you can use it for whatever. For display. And
then there's the figure inside. You can keep them together or display them separately.
But I call it a two in one thing. So let's see what it is.
I'm not even gonna guess who's inside; could be anybody. I've got the wrapping off so it's time for the reveal.
Who is it?
Open the bag here, and...
Awesome! It is that box ghost! That is amazing. I love that.
Look at that little guy.
Got a smile on his face,
he's
translucent,
little hatbox.
Cape on there, and the top hat.
That is just great. I love that. I know he's small, but I think he's my favorite thing in the box!
I love the Haunted Mansion ride and how the ghosts show up at the end, so
pretty perfect, Disney! Awesome! And also in the boxes, always, is a sticker. Haunted Forest October 2017.
And I don't put these on anything, I just collect them. And the guide map that Disney treasures puts in the box
always gives you a lot of interesting details
about the development of the different items in the box. And tells you a little more about them. The Zero tote bag actually
glows in the dark. The Hatbox Ghost is the first
translucent Mystery
Mini figure in a subscription box that they've done. The Maleficent figure is the largest POP! that they've put in a subscription box.
Disney Treasures did a great job on this month's box. The theme was Haunted Forest,
and they really pulled this off! Everything in the box this month is really cool.
My favorite though is still the hatbox ghost, but they're all great!
It's amazing to get this kind of stuff sent to your home every other month, and like everything else Disney does, it's the best!
So thanks for watching, have a great day.
