have to admit I've never been one to get tanked on st. Patrick's Day but now that
I have kids that slim possibility has disappeared instead we're going to honor
all our Irish heritage with a whole bunch of these ways to celebrate st.
Patrick's Day if you are sober or if you are a parent who at the very least has
to get their kids out the door to baseball or ballet the next morning with
a list of Irish ancestors a mile long celebrating st. Patrick's Day has always
been the big activity in an otherwise dreary month as you get older it becomes
a little harder to remember that you don't have to step foot in a pub in
order to be festive and have a great time first things first
wear something green it's just more fun and it's not like there's a whole lot
else that's green in a lot of places around the country at this time of year
not counting this st. Patrick's Day decorations of course while it's
definitely fun to drink Irish coffee and Guinness on st. Patrick's Day it's not
necessary to celebrate the holiday and doesn't exactly celebrate the best
Ireland has to offer instead pick up some Irish butter and cue up an Irish
movie for an equally festive day

ANNE Jones married Ken Dodd just two days before he passed away on Sunday (March 11).
Here's everything you need to know about the comedy legend's wife.
Who is Anne Jones?
Anne Jones, 76, is a former Bluebell dancer.
She met Ken during a pantomime in Liverpool and appeared in his shows playing the piano,
guitar, flute and singing as Miss Sybie Jones.
Ken found love with Anne after his first fianc�, Anita Boutin, died of a brain tumour in 1977
aged 45, after 24 years together.
Anne and Ken were unable to have children despite several attempts at IVF.
When did Anne Jones marry Ken Dodd?
The couple had been together for 40 years and got married on mothers' day (March 11)
- just two days before he died, aged 90.
Anne then became Lady Anne due to the fact that Ken received a knighthood in 2016.
Ken was released from hospital a couple of weeks ago after suffering from a chest infection.
Anne had been in the process of cancelling all of Ken's 2018 tour dates due to his ill
health.
A registrar performed the wedding at his home in Knotty Ash - a suburb of Liverpool.
In a statement Ken's publicist Robert Holmes said: "Anne is obviously very upset. They
had been together for 40 years. It s a love story to beat them all."
Anne broke the news of Ken's death to Robert with a phonecall at around 1am this morning.

Anne gave a prepared statement to press outside her Knotty Ash home.
She said: "The world has lost the most life-enhancing, brilliant and creative comedian with an operatically
trained voice, who just wanted to make people happy."
"He lived to perfect his art and entertain his live and adoring audiences.
"I have been overwhelmed by the love and affection which I have already received from dear friends
and the public, and I thank you all."

Hello my darlings welcome back to my channel if you've been here before if not
Welcome for the first time and thanks for joining me today
I've been inspired by the Sun if you can't tell with my squinting eyes um
The sun's out so my buns are out, and I'd show you the buns out
But I'm pregnant and I think that's a little too much. Oh
At home in LA I'd always be bitching about the sun like it's so hot and I just... guys I was just ungrateful
Ungrateful is what I was. Today's video, I decided to do a kind of compare and contrast between American and Irish apartments
Growing up. I had a single mom strong independent lady
We had a few different apartments in Pasadena
And so I'm gonna use those to compare to the apartment that I have now
In the West of Ireland in Adare and there are some differences um things that are kind of trade offs where it's like
It's not as convenient, I would say, but at the same time it's more eco friendly and
kind of easier for you to control on your own when it comes to how much you're spending and
So on and so forth so if you're interested in seeing these differences follow along and I'll get right into it
First let's talk about these closets or lack thereof the two places that I have lived in Ireland
Unfortunately have not had like walk-in closets or sliding door closets like you would have in the US
But you just get wardrobes or armoires
And it can get totally cramped in these we only have two in this apartment one in the nursery one in our bedroom. Gaz
Has a bunch of clothes I've got a bunch of clothes
So really when it comes to these we just kind of have to make the best with what we've got and we try to do
That as best as we can
So next we move on to the outlets of course the outlets are gonna be different
I had to get adapters for pretty much everything that I brought with me
But the coolest thing about these outlets is that you see those little switches
They're actually manuals so if I leave something plugged in and I don't want to actually use any kind of juice
I just turn off the switch, and it doesn't do anything so it's saving us money
And it's saving us electricity which is all good stuff, and I feel like we should probably have that at home
Speaking of electricity let's move on to this meter that we have in the hallway
This is how the electricity is
Controlled you can put 2 euro coins or one euro coin in that you see exactly how much you have in there and as long
As you've got money in this thing you get electricity and I feel like it's super convenient
Moving on from the electricity over to the washer and dryer. I love having a washer and dryer
It is my first time ever having my own washer and dryer super convenient
I'm gonna need it so much with this baby on the way
and it will be used like you can absolutely tell it's been used a lot already and
I love them
But the only thing I don't love about them is that they are so small so they only take 6 kilograms
Which I'll put what that is in pounds over here
And that means that the loads that you do have to be smaller and not only that they take longer
Usually about two and a half hours to three hours as opposed to an hour per load
Which is shitty, but I mean at least we got it
So from there, we move on to the heating system
This is where the heating system is controlled you turn the switch on and you turn on the heater you turn it off you turn
It off. This is a little modem module thing where you can control the water and the heating in the place
It's all connected to a tank that is in the backyard
And in this tank you have to put oil which can get expensive
You kind of have to refill it pretty much every month because it is a cold country
Or at least colder than it would be in LA and so since I like staying
Toasty as long as we've got oil in that tank we get heat into these heaters that are in pretty much every single room that
You have and I think they're totally necessary
after that we're gonna move on to
Appliances as you can see the stove and fridge are smaller than you would find in an American home
Not only that but the stove is in Celsius as opposed to Fahrenheit because they use Celsius here
But pretty much all the food that you get that you're gonna bake it has Celsius directions on it
Or you can use Google to convert the other ones so it's not that big a deal
But the biggest deal to me is the fridge!!
I absolutely miss having an American fridge these fridges to me are too tiny and I just don't get it
But I mean you just gotta be picky with what you have, but I would definitely take an American fridge over this
Last but not least let's talk about the double sinks in the bathrooms
So one is for hot water one is for cold water as long as I've got oil in that tank out back
I will get hot water if I don't though both of these will just be freakin freezing and
