If I was taking handfuls of these pills, I'd be in a way better mood.
Have you noticed me in a way better mood, Dan?

Ideas and Musings on Institutional Bias and the Film Contest - Duration: 5:56.
[sound effects and action movie music]
Hey everyone!
So, it's Dominick, and I wanted to answer a few questions about the Free Our People Film Contest,
which I am helping organize through my work
for the Center for Disability Rights.
The theme of the Free Our People Film Contes is institutional bias,
and a lot of people don't really seem to understand what that is.
So, I wanted to kind of go through the kind of films that we're looking for.
A lot about people were kind of confused about what kind of films they could make
and think that they're limited in shooting films that are
specifically shot at institutions…
which is not at all true.
Institutional bias is this idea that someone like me
who needs home and community-based services,
has a better chance of ending up in a nursing home
because that's considered required care under the government
as opposed to the home and community-based services I get, which are seen as optional
even though, for me, it's better to live in the community.
With that in mind, if you're making films for the film contest,
you can make stories about why it's better for disabled
people to live in their homes and live in their communities
Our winner last year actually made a mixed media documentary,
which was about people who were living in their community
who were at risk of ending up in an institution
if they lost their home and community-based services.
One of the people she interviewed actually lived in an institutional setting,
and she talked about how great it was to live in her own home…
How she had her own pet…
Things that she couldn't have at the institution.
Like, she got to decide when she went to bed…
What she had to eat…and things like that.
So, you could tell stories that are documentary
or narrative fiction
or animated even, that outline community-based living,
and why it's better for disabled people
with a wide range of disabilities.
You could also make films at an institutional setting,
but it doesn't just have to be a nursing home.
It could be a group home
or some kind of adult foster care living situation.
There are a variety of institutional settings
that you can explore in your film.
Now you can also be humorous, and use a nontraditional
setting to represent an institution.
We saw that with our second prize winner (last year)…
It was this narrative fiction comedy,
that kind of parodied mob life.
There were a lot of mob metaphors…
and the institutional setting they had clearly did not
look like the type of hospital setting we generally
equate with nursing homes, but it looked more like
a home-based setting that you might see in a
foster care situation or a group home type setting
where you might live in an actual home and have your own bedroom and whatnot.
It worked for that film because it was supposed to be funny, and those little things,
those little details…
We know that it's not technically a nursing home,
but we don't question it because it's a comedy, and they can get away with that.
So, you could also decide to work with someone
if you know someone who lives in an institutional setting.
Have them talk about their experience with being institutionalized.
These are just some examples of the kind of stories you can do.
They don't have to be limited to a nursing home setting.
So…
As long as you're celebrating the fact that
home and community-based services are often seen as
so much better,
and much preferred by most disabled people.
If your film represents that,
or discusses the obstacles that are standing in disabled
people's way of getting out of nursing homes…
Then…that's exactly what we're looking for.
At the end of the day, we want these films to show
people exactly what institutional bias is,
and why it is so harmful to those of us who are
at risk of being institutionalized.
In the description, I will list where you can email me if you have questions.
You have until March 31 to submit a film.
I really hope that you'll consider making a film for the
contest because the Free Our People Film Contest
is really about helping people understand why we still
need to be fighting to free our people.

Laura Rizzotto international identities: sneak preview - Duration: 1:47.
I live in the USA now. In New York.
I've been here in the US for almost 6 years.
I'm Latvian because of my father.
My dad is Latvian and his mother, my grandma, is from Liepāja.
Our family has a great history in Latvia.
I have dual citizenship but I grew up in Rio de Janeiro.
I'm a girl from Ipanema.
But it's great to have this mix.
When I visit Latvia I can feel a connection with the roots over there, which is pretty cool.
So you feel connected to Latvia as well?
Totally. When we go to a place that it is so important to the history of our family
we start understanding things from our own personality.
Things that wouldn't quite fit here but would fit there...
This sort of thing...
And there's a lot of feelings to connect to as well.
So it is going to be a very special experience.

The 1 Bitcoin Show- BTC and South African farmers, unfreedom addiction, discipline, creativity - Duration: 14:02.
Hello everyone this is adam meister the bitcoinmeister the disrupt meister
welcome to this very special outside edition of the one big coin show you are
watching this on March the 12th 2018 I am recording this on the 11th though
alright this is Africa this is South Africa behind me and I know people want
to see that so there you go so let's quickly talk about a South African
subject and maybe you have brought this up to me and again I'm in Johannesburg
so I don't encounter farmers here we're gonna it's a huge city a minute I'm
gonna suburb actually and not what's a bryanston school it's very nice here
we're near where the Microsoft Office is so you know we don't I don't see farmers
here but yes the the government here is not thinking very long term they're
thinking very short term and they have from what I've heard they want to take
away farmers land and that is just that's not good for a western-style
country get businesses interested in coming to
your country it doesn't foster in the innovation it
is a short-term solution in you know it solves maybe some short-term financial
problems social problems but in the long run confiscation of land whether farm or
regular homes it sets a horrible precedent and long-term destroys it just
destroys a civilization as we know it so no one on a certain level so I bring
this up because no matter where you live your government is is not going to
they're not long-term thinkers they're short-term thinkers they always come up
with short-term solutions and what you should take away from that is that you
should come up with long-term solutions you battle them that way they go
short-term you go long-term and when the to the farmers here this is what you
should do you should get used Bitcoin as your insurance think long term if you're
going to lose some I mean if you're going to lose your valley if you're
to lose your savings that that's built up in your land you should get into
Bitcoin which is something that is cannot be confiscated your land can be
confiscating your houses can be confiscated most any of your bank
accounts can be confiscated Bitcoin cannot be confiscated so this is a
long-term insurance plan for people all around the world that are in precarious
situations with their governments or with financial entities perhaps bank
balance Bitcoin is that solution is that long-term solution to the short-term
desires of governments and entities which many of us feel control our lives
but in in the end of the day we control our lives and if one thinks long-term to
battle short-term and gets on this Bitcoin training then you very much will
see that you control your life life so now that like button there that's mine
that people wanted me to address subject matters like that my simple answer is
Bitcoin is insurance against government overreach and clearly there is there's a
threat of major government overreach here that involves confiscation and
Bitcoin is uncomplicated alright so
what's another subject matter here did a
yes food discipline discipline is something people often ask me about and
I advise everyone to discipline with what they eat and while
I bring this up a little financial you know on a Bitcoin Channel
because if you can really be disciplined with what you mean you eat healthy you
fast you only need certain times of days you don't you don't need after nine
o'clock you don't need out for a long block long periods of time you save
money by eating in this type of discipline it's easier it's harder to
control food discipline then it is financially suppose so if you can become
discipline with your food you can easily become discipline with your finances so
anytime and start to practice with intermittent fasting other subject
matters that I hate is just eating healthy just eating healthy and
preparing your own food that that's a first easy step and it's a step toward
financial freedom really it is because if you can seriously if you can control
you you put it in your mouth you can easily control your finances and yeah
you're really gonna hear this kind of stuff on a Bitcoin channel like this
pound out like button if you like this in again this is a different show as a
tape show we're going to talk about you know different things on a quantitative
show so many people ask me about the system collapsing is a financial thing
and most of you know I don't believe the financial system is going to collapse at
all because the 80 percenters are comfortable with unknown freedom now
what is what is unfreedom I mean it isn't slavery but it's a it's something
below above that above that in terms of freedom people are
through with their lives they're willing to put up with so much just to be
comfortable also one of the taxes go up so what if this gets confiscated so what
if I have to live here I have to send my kid to this school you know I'm
comfortable I'm fitting in life is great sure it's not true freedom but people
cling to unfreedom like their mother because it's comfortable it's
comfortable and they're not a slicker they can see I'm not a slave
I do what I want to do I can buy what type of car I want to buy and I'm
fitting in I'm fitting into the system that is unfreedom and most people
cherish their own freedom in fact so why would the system collapse because the
system and they're more important than financial demands by the system you know
inflationary but but people are comfortable they enjoy their unfree
though they they enjoy it like their mom because it's it's comfortable it's you
know it's comfortable you don't want to they don't want to leave the room you
don't want to leave that that comfortable place you grew up in and the
80 percenters are totally satisfied with unfreedom but the stability that that
that is fake stability and 20 percenters realize that unfreedom is not a freedom
and that bitcoin will end on freedom for those who choose to go that way because
if you choose the bigpoint way i mean you don't have to do
with that back anymore you don't have to live in that country any more bitcoins
good anywhere you don't have to deal with inflation that or the the the
inflation that the money printing is going on that the 80 percenters gladly
accept because they're comfortable but it's it's not an easy step to jump to
the bitcoin island to jump on the Bitcoin train because you're giving up
that comfortable unfreedom to for true freedom so it is yes it is easy to be
unfree it's difficult to get into the Bitcoin paradigm but once you're in it
once you value your wealth in Bitcoin it opens so many doors if you're in a hole
the entire new realm and you see the land of unfreedom
and you also see that yes the 80% are going to be going because they're
comfortable and they just they don't want to see outside of the box they
don't want to see what is really going on out there they don't want it they
love their schools they love their big-screen TVs they love their suburbs
and they're going to just fit in and they love being in and so don't fit in
jump on the Bitcoin train get rid of that under freedom and think about what
unfreedom really means to you all right so the looking at freedom unfreedom and
slavery and Bitcoin and the system not collapsing this all takes a creative
mind here and we all have the potential to be so creative and here this guy owes
their dough let go Gruber I can't I'm going to link to it below she talks
about the enemies of creativity and I think this is once you understand the
enemies of creativity and how to avoid these enemies you can get closer to
becoming a truly free Bitcoin person because you're gonna come up with all
these creative solutions Luther we all have problems and we all and people say
well it's hard to value your wealth and it's hard for me to move out of this
town it's hard for me to move my kids from this Lulu the other it's hard for
me to get rid of this anger but if you have a creative mind if you flex that
creative part of your brain you're gonna be able to come up with some awesome
solutions that put me on the Bitcoin training so here we go enemies are
creativity one self-doubt there you go if you doubt yourself you're never gonna
be me in it you can do it trust me you can do it I'm telling you I believe in
you groupthink another that's a classic
enemy of creativity that's just fitting in like that I'll just go with the flow
I'll go with the crowd whatever they say I'm down with it you know keeping all my
money at Bank of America that's that's the way to go because everybody else
does it I'll be able to get this nice big house and this nice big suburb if I
deal with if I go that way no don't go to me abundance of resources you you put
yourself in this situation like look and taste like I got my big-screen TV I got
my great job you're paying me so much money
I got great food so what if I'm in debt I'm bringing in all these great
resources even that I'm living comfortably I'm living
comfortably do you get rid of all that stuff stuff allele uncomfortably and
you'll get real creative real quick did you get rid of those Wolf's that you
piled all around you those and they're not true resources either kind of
twisting this around but I'm trying to put this into modern man's world here so
abundance of resources is key if you're living comfortably you're not gonna get
creative no deadlines if you have no deadlines in you're never gonna get it
you're never gonna get on it give yourself a deadline saying you know what
I got to have two Bitcoin by the end of May and figured out figure out how you
can get to Bitcoin by the end of the man you'll get real creative propensity to
blame is another enemy of creativity oh it's the bankers falling on poor oh it's
these peoples it's Adams falling on poor and all his people's bought up poor yeah
because if you're if you're just going to keep on blaming a blaming you're
gonna you're never gonna get creative you're gonna get stuck in that rut and
you're never gonna bet er yourself indifference that's an enemy of
creativity who cares who cares time just know that my life who cares who cares if
I'm forced you know if my taxes go up who cares if they're printing money who
cares now you're just gonna get stuff that way big egos that's the seventh
enemy of creativity that this guy comes up with do you know the greatest band I
don't leave the chain no way man I'm living a life here
I'm living a life I'm better than you so I leave the change I don't even think of
it alternative like your lifestyle it sucks you with your crazy creative
lifestyle your new way of life tough it's terrible
I'm the best I'm speaking with this because I figured it all out so yeah
there you go people town that like button avoid those seven enemies of
creativity I'll link to them below i'm adam meister the big con messages from
my store remember subscribe this channel like the solutions video check out the
next section below on that like button see ya later

How to Apologize to Your Spouse - Duration: 2:34.
Have you ever thought to yourself boy that apology sucked or I didn't even
hear the words I'm sorry how do I know you really care if that's you I'm super
glad you're here I'm Robyn D'Angelo licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
and The Happy Couple Expert and today I want to talk about what it's like to
actually receive an apology that works I know you guys have heard me talk about
love languages but did you know there's also an apology language and we each
have our own you know sometimes just hearing the words I'm sorry it doesn't
cut it so see if one of these five apology languages are more yours
sometimes number one you just need your partner to get to the emotional hurt and
that's on something like oh my gosh I never ever meant to hurt you like that
I'm so sorry maybe you just need to hear them admit
that they were wrong would you nobody likes to do so this is a tough one but
it can sound something like I just didn't think through this all the way
and what I said was completely out of line again maybe it doesn't even need to
include the words I'm sorry here's another way maybe you need to hear some
restitution or justice it can sound something like I can't believe I did
that in front of all your co-workers would it feel better if I apologized in
front of everyone you know others of us actually just want to hear that your
partner is going to do something different next time so maybe it can be
and I'm sorry followed by you know what next time I'm gonna make sure that I ask
for clear instructions of what you're looking for so that I don't miss a beat
and then the last one maybe just maybe being asked for forgiveness is what's
really gonna make you feel like your partner gets it so it can sound
something like what I did was really really not thoughtful and it was just
out of line I want to ask if you'd be willing to forgive me maybe not now but
would you be willing to forgive me at some point there you have it you guys
those are examples of five different apology languages so if a thank you just
doesn't cut it maybe try one of these and share this
with your partner nothing helps more than when you guys are on the same page
getting the same relationship information alright if you guys are

Minimal Talks (Of Monsters and Men Parody) by Shoeless Joe and Bekahbk - Duration: 3:22.
I don't like walking around this old and cluttered house
Then hold my hand, I'll purge with you my dear
Don't stare at me, this stuff was cheap. It's always been this way. It's the world telling you you need to buy
Some days I can't even find a shelf. It's killing me. We're fixing this today
If you're not using or wearing this ship, we'll carry your stuff to the thrift store
There's some old stuff in my room that
I might want back. I promise you won't miss all of this junk
Please let me think this over
It's all part of my past. We used to have more time when we were young and had a life with much less stuff.
Some days I don't know about this simple life. The TV's playing tricks on you my dear
If we're not using or wearing this ship, we'll carry our stuff to the thrift store
Don't listen to a word they say
Hey! The screens all sound the same: Pay!
If we're not using or wearing this ship, we'll carry our stuff to the thrift store
It's gone gone gone away, we made it disappear. All that's left is an empty room
Now we're born born born again. There's nothing we can't do. Just let it go--won't "need" again soon
Donate-nate-nate with me, please hand it out. Don't keep anything you don't need.

Comic Basics Presents - Comic Book Origins: SIlver Surfer - Duration: 2:18.
Welcome to Comic Basics where we try to teach you everything that we know about comics in
three minutes or less. Today's character...Silver Surfer.
Oh, that is cool.
Norrin Radd was a scientist born on the planet Zenn-La. Over time, Radd grew a desire for more
than life had to offer on his home planet. He longed to learn about the past
and the things that it housed. War, fighting etc. As fate would have it, Radd would get
his wish. Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds came to Zenn-La to deplete the planet
of its energy. In an effort to stop him Radd made an agreement with the Demigod.
Learning that the constant searching for plants to feed on tired Galactus, Radd
offered his life to him. Effectivel,y he would become the servant of Galactus and
search for plants for him and in return Galactus would be leave Zenn-La alone.
The acceptance offered two things. First, Zenn-La was safe.
Second, Radd could find uninhabited planets for Galactus to feed on thus saving
countless lives. With the agreement complete Galactus gave Norrin Radd a
small portion of his Power Cosmic. The Power Cosmic granted him incredible
strength but more importantly took away his need for oxygen and food.
Unfortunately, the Power Cosmic also took away his memories.
Norrin Radd exists no more. You are new, born my Herald.
Even your mind is a new page on which I shall write.
Now called the Silver Surfer Radd set out to fulfill his pledge to his new master.
Silver Sufer's powers are abilities given with the Power Cosmic. If you like
