Homemade Pork Tacos & Refried Beans || $30 Dinner Party - Duration: 8:42.
- Hey guys, it's Lee Kalpakis,
and we just made a tasty taco
dinner party all for just under $30.
So, stick around and see how we helped
our Australian buddy, Will, win over
his roommates and cook a delicious dinner.
Hey everybody, we're here in Ridgewood, Queens again,
and we're about to meet up with Will.
He just moved to New York City from Australia, and he's
trying to impress his roommates with a homemade dinner.
So, let's see if this dude from down under
can keep from going over our $30 budget.
So, tell me a little bit about yourself.
- Living in Australia, working back there,
I just needed a bit of a change of pace,
and I thought I'd come over here
and see what all the fuss is about.
I got a job in a demolition company actually.
- You ever make anything explode?
- Yeah, we blow stuff up all the time.
- You blow stuff up. - Yeah, I've thrown dynamite
into a building.
- I never get to blow anything up at my job.
- Oh, it's good.
It's therapeutic. - I'd really like to.
How's it been making friends?
- Oh, I heard that New Yorkers
were extremely friendly people, but...
- Really?
- Yeah, it seems my roommates haven't
quite warmed up to me for some reason.
They're always going on about the last guy that lived here:
typical good roommate, always cooking for the family.
Seems to be big shoes to fill, but...
- That why you wanna throw this dinner party?
- The last guy that lived here used
to always make tacos for the guys.
So, yeah, I think something like that.
- We could do some carnitas, you can do pork tacos.
How do you feel about that? - Beautiful.
- We can do some refried beans, a slaw to go along with it,
so it's really bright and fresh.
- OK, OK. - I feel like we'd have
to give them some booze, like a punch.
- Juice 'em up a little bit. - Right?
I think your roommates would love that.
What do you think?
- I think that'll be great. - OK.
- For sure, they'll love it.
- Cool!
- All right, welcome back to the Thrillist kitchen.
We're about to get started on our taco feast.
- That was good!
Nice job! - Thank you.
- Let's start with our carnitas, which translates
to "lil meats," which is my rapper name.
I have about 3 pounds of pork shoulder,
and I'm gonna add some kosher salt, some cumin,
and a little bit a black pepper.
Work our seasoning into the pork 'til everything is coated.
Our pork is ready for a sear.
Quarter cup of oil in the pan.
- Get that in there.
- Yeah, and our pan is super-hot.
We want everything to be nice
and golden brown on either side.
When we sear the meat, it locks
in all the flavor on the inside.
Let's go ahead and add the rest of our ingredients.
OK? - Sure.
- Let's add our two chipotle peppers.
Beautiful, and that's gonna give it
a little bit a spice and make it nice and smoky.
Half a white onion and our four garlic cloves.
Go ahead and add our water -- it's gonna
allow our pork to completely fall apart.
So, it's really nice - OK.
- And soft and tender.
- Tender town.
- Tender town, I like that. - Yeah, one way to you.
- Tender town.
Last step is go ahead and add a cup of our beer.
Stir in our liquids a little bit,
and let them hang out for about an hour or so,
and then, we're gonna check up on 'em.
OK, this is lookin' great.
It's very tender now. Let's get in there and shred.
For our cabbage slaw, we're gonna start with our dressing.
Add the lime juice to our bowl,
a tablespoon of white vinegar,
a pinch of sugar, go ahead and add the oil.
Whisk that up, I'm gonna add some salt and pepper.
We have a lot of flavors going on in our tacos,
so we wanna make sure that it has a really nice texture,
a nice bite, but the flavor's not over the top.
Let's add our cabbage, about a half cup
scallions, and a half cup cilantro.
Toss our salad until all the cabbage is nicely dressed.
Now, we're gonna start on our refried beans.
- OK.
- Pound of rinsed, dried pinto beans,
cover this with about 3 inches of water.
Half an onion, just like this, and two cloves of garlic.
Cover it, and let it hang out until it heats up.
OK, now that our beans our brought up to a simmer,
we're going to season our water with salt.
Last of our beans, into our bowl.
Let this liquid stick around for a little while,
because we're gonna use that to
loosen up the beans when we're blending,
and then we're gonna add our beans.
Add two chipotles in adobo. - Sure.
- Let's blend it up. - Sure.
You got it.
Now, we have to fry them.
I've got vegetable oil, drizzle it in.
Some onion,
garlic,
mix 'em around a little bit.
I'm gonna add some cumin, we'll add our beans.
Spread these out a little bit.
A lot of salt. - A heap of it.
- Yeah, let's do a big heap of it.
We'll give that a stir.
All right, our beans are done.
- Good stuff.
- Awesome.
Moving on to our punch, we have our beautiful punch bowl.
I have a limeade concentrate, pour this guy in.
Now, this is super concentrated, very, very, sweet.
To dilute it a little bit, because it's
so pungent right now, you're gonna add 4 cups of water.
Now, for our tequila, I'm gonna add the whole thing.
- Ah, get it in there.
- We used a cup of that beer for our carnitas,
so, right now, we have about 40 ounces of beer.
All right, woo! - Woo!
- Mix it around. - Yeah.
- We're gonna garnish it, look at that.
Look at these wheels of limes.
- That's nice.
- Is this beautiful?
All right, our punch is done. - Yeah, it is.
- All we have to do is taste it.
Ready? - All right.
- Good, it's strong.
Cheers. - Cheers.
- It's strong.
So do you think that this dinner's
gonna be up your roommates' alley?
You think this is their kinda stuff?
- I think they're gonna love it.
From the tacos to the tequila, I think it's a winner.
- I think you're gonna win 'em over.
- Cool. - You got this.
- Cheers.
Yeah, I'm very nervous.
I think Zach, my roommate, doesn't know my name actually.
I just really wanna impress these guys,
but I'm not sure yet, so, we'll see.
- Wow, oh wow!
- Is there a dinner party?
- Hey, gang!
- What's up, buddy? - Hi!
- Welcome home!
All right, cabbage.
- [Zach] Wow, red cabbage.
- [Will] Big boy!
- [Zach] It looks pretty good!
- [Will] Beans, with some onions sprinkled on top.
- Is that pork? - It is.
And, a little fun punch. - Ooh, what is that?
- [Zach] Oh, my goodness!
- [Girl] Oh, my gosh!
- Liquor in there? - Wow.
- [Will] There is, beer and tequila.
- Ooh, double whammy. - Oh, my God.
- How do I feel about Will?
Well, he's new. I don't know him very well.
I'm a little worried about this.
- I don't know.
- I'm gonna start with one. - Me too.
- Yeah, see how it turns out. - Thank you.
- [Will] All right, cheers!
- Cheers! - Wow!
- Family dinner.
- Yes! - Thank you!
- I brought a family, right?
- Hey, first of many, hopefully.
- [Will] Thoughts?
- It's good! - I don't taste beer.
I just taste, yeah. - There's beer in there.
- But, it's great.
- Dude, honestly, I was pleasantly surprised.
That was delicious.
I don't know what he Googled to make that, but...
This is incredible, I was gonna get street meat.
- It was very surprising; he has shown
he can cook this quality of taco feast.
- It was amazing, such a phenomenal dinner.
I'm shocked -- I'm seriously shocked.
- Well, I think it goes without saying
that we'll be expecting this every single day.
- Every day?
- I will require tacos every single day.
- So good, really impressed.
You know, the last roommate, cooked a hell of a taco,
but this stands up, man. I think you take it.
You really do. - It's good.
- Thank you, appreciate that! - No problem.
- I feel great, I'm relieved; it was a success, for sure.
- I'm sincerely proud of Will.
I think he won over his roommates.
I'm slightly concerned that he's
gonna have to cook for them now,
a lot more than he initially bargained for,
but that's not my problem, so, see you guys next time.
That was fun, wasn't it?

5 Rainbow Optifine Cape Designs! (Best Minecraft Cape Designs) - Duration: 4:55.
Hey there!
What's going on guys?!
Today, I'm sharing with you 5 Rainbow Optifine Cape Designs!
Now, I recently shared some rainbow capes in another video.
A lot of you enjoyed that video so I wanted to share 5 more rainbow cape designs for you
guys!
I currently have a vote up for next week's video theme!
Feel free to share any capes with the themes in that vote for a chance to get your cape
featured in a future video!
Also, definitely go vote on that, too!
And also, feel free to subscribe and turn on notifications if you'd like to see more
videos like this one!
Alright, let's get started!
*Music*
Alright, to start off today I'm featuring a cape that is like a faded rainbow single
line.
I think that's the best way for me to explain it in a simple way.
Obviously the colors don't stand out a ton but some people like just minimal capes and
that's sort of what I had in mind when I created this cape.
In my previous rainbow capes video, I had a cape that featured a line down the middle
with more bold colors if you're more interested in that but for this one, we have some faded
colors.
Next up, we have a cape that I was trying to make a lightning cape... if you couldn't
tell.
Well, given the layers I couldn't quite make the lightning cape.
So basically, I was trying to create a lightning cape in the same style that I was featured
in my recent Lightning capes tutorial video.
But like I said, with layer restrictions, that became difficult.
I could have take some colors out but I wanted the most colors I could get and I still like
this cape design a lot.
It looks pretty cool.
Here we have a cape that was shared in my comments by MasterXPlayz.
Now, this isn't actually a rainbow cape.
It's actually an RGB cape as it just features red green and blue but it's close enough for
me to want to share it here.
This cape was actually featured in a video very recently but I wanted to share it again
because I like it so much... and because it fits the theme of the video well.
I mean, it's colorful, at least.
So yeah, there ya have this cape.
The next cape, today, is a rainbow chain cape.
So, basically this cape is supposed to be like chains that run down the cape.
Of course, the chains are in rainbow colors.. because that's the theme of the video.
This cape is actually fairly popular.
I have seen this cape around quite a bit.
So yeah, that's a thing, I guess.
There's not much else for me to say about it, so... there's that one.
To finish off, the final cape we have today is sort of a play off the previous cape.
The cape is made pretty much the same way but it takes a turn in the final steps to
create a cape that is like a spine, or something.
That's what I'll call it.
So basically, it's a single chain down the middle of the cape.
Of course, in a rainbow color scheme.
I actually like this cape a lot.
I know the final two capes are similar but I really wanted to share them so yeah.
If you want more rainbow capes, feel free to check out my previous rainbow caps video!
So there ya have 5 Rainbow Optifine Cape Designs!
Which one of these capes was your favorite?
Let me know!
Also, feel free to submit your favorite Optifine Cape in the comments and vote in the poll!
You can submit capes for the themes in that poll for a better chance to be featured in
the next themed capes video, too!
Again, be sure to go vote for the theme of capes you want to see!
If you want to help me out, definitely feel free to share the video with your friends,
leave a comment, leave a like, and feel free to subscribe and click the bell so you'll
always know when I upload more videos!
Alright guys, that's gonna do it for me!
I hope you enjoyed!
I'm outta here!
See ya!

Finally, I found you, Melek!
W-who are you, I don't know you!
Don't be afraid of me.
Don't.
Who are you?
You're upsetting me!
Where you think you're going?
Where is that woman? How did she disappear?
No, man, we missed her.
Damn it! Mr. Tarik is going to ruin us.
He'll kill us this time, for certain!
How did we lose her, huh?
Come on, let's not waste any time here.
Keep searching.
You go this way, and I'll check this way.
Alright.
Open your eyes!
Let me go!
Don't shout, quiet!
Who are you, what do you want from me?
Ssssh! I said quiet!
Shut up!
Shut up!
I won't hear any of your words from now on!
Shut up already!
Shut up!
Jülide...
are you feeling alright, honey?
Do you have something in your mind?
- I'm thinking Melek, sis. - Why, something happened?
I locked the door on her this morning.
I'm so terrified of her going outside.
Oh...
I don't think if I've done the right thing, or not,
But I felt guilty.
Right, when you see it, it's a bit tricky,
but at the end, dear Jülide, you've done it for her own good.
You wanted to take some precautions.
It is, but I'm not feeling very comfortable.
When you think of the danger waiting for her out there,
I think you've done the right thing.
Don't make yourself upset.
Don't resist!
If you ever raise your voice against me, I'll kill you right here!
They won't even find your body!
You got it? Huh?
Come on, walk!
God damn, woman!
God damn, woman!
Mr. Tarik!
Mr. Tarik!
What happened, are you alright?
Let me give you a hand.
Get your hands off me!
Find the woman, Melek for me!
Don't come back without finding her! Go!

DAY 69 OF MY JUICE FAST JUICE FASTING-ME VS. CELERY FOR 7 DAYS-CELERY HOW IS MY FIRST DAY GOING - Duration: 5:36.
hey guys today is day 69 of my juice fast I'm just doing an update video I'm
drinking my celery juice this is my first day on my celery juice everything
is going good nothing different I'm just drinking celery juice and I'm cutting
out the sugar and I will be doing that for seven days and I want to see if it's
gonna overall help me with my wellness I want to get that calming effect that I
hear that you get from juicing and I think that it's the second best thing to
a water fast I also want to let you guys know that if
juicing at any time gets really expensive what you can because to make
42 ounces of this juice today I had to use two whole celery stalks just to make
ones one day of juice so it can get expensive it's not the thing of
vegetables being expensive its how much you have to buy in bulk in order to
juice so I just want to make that clear to you there's a link in the description
which is another healthy alternative that is organic that you can buy on
Amazon that I still use and I use also when I was prepping in December 2017 and
it's a great alternative and it's much cheaper you will find out that you'll
make out better on juicing because there's days that you might not have
juicers ready there could be days that you just don't
want the cleanup or you just don't want to spend all that money on produce or
you just wanna are ready to go drink 12 ounces of water and put the powder in
the are mix I mean the water and mix it up and go so I'm like I said links in
the description also there's some bags that I used to drain out my Pope
that you know you know that is extracted from the juices every juice I don't care
how good of a juicy you have you still can yield a little bit more juice
by using nut bags and these nut bags like last for a lifetime they're not
like cloth nut bags where they start to rip or anything like that you can buy
two in a pack and it'll last you a year also if you're looking to invest in a
blender they have the Joe Kraus Breville blender for $79.99 I don't recommend you
go any higher because there's different models of Revels and they can all run
you a lot of money so I would start off with the $79.99 one that um that I have
in the description here for people who don't have blenders I may not blenders
juices you child the juicer community will kill me hear me say that I know
people that get Breville zhh used and they spend $150 so $79.99 is not a good
I mean a bad price for a Breville and you will get great juice out of it and
again the nut bags you will yield more juice by using them but today's day 7 of
my juice celery fast I'm still on my fast but not incorporating any sugars
any fruits inside of my juice this week and I want to see what the effects are
going to be on the body and hopefully that they're good you know effects on
the body I'm also
a little bit lighter on the scale I lost a few pounds but I'm not gonna discuss
that in this video maybe in the middle of the week I'll give you a bonus
weigh-in but today is Monday and yes when I woke up got on the scale I lost
some more weight so with all that being said I don't want to make this video too
long it did not subscribe to the channel please do so also make sure you support
my juice and partner MB truck of 68 his link is in the description please
subscribe to his channel I'm in two days he'll be doing a weigh-in video and he
as well does juicing and he I think oh my god
he's on day 50 I'm losing track of it but he's catching up with me and also
his wife and he does update videos play frequently so please subscribe to his
channel with all that being said I will see you in tonight's live podcast
it will probably be around 9:00 Eastern Standard Time because I noticed that
that's when the crowd starts to come in so with all that being said you guys
have a blessed day and I'll see you in the live broadcast and hopefully it's
lit like it was yesterday

Why I'm Creating a Convention - Duration: 4:51.
Oh hi! So I'm trying to create a convention. Listen. I know what you're
thinking. And it's gross, and you should be ashamed of yourself. That's not how
you should use mayonnaise. But besides that unfortunate diversion, this is
something that I've wanted to happen for a long time. So in this video I'm gonna
start by explaining why I like conventions, what the convention that I'm
trying to start is all about, and lastly why I'd love if you could help support
its first year. So let's start at the beginning. <sigh> My mom and dad were
celebrating their anniversary, and after a few too many glasses of wine they
decided that they needed to take the evening into the bedroom ... That's
probably too far into the beginning. I've been to the Calgary Comic Expo. That was
the first convention I had ever been to. It was cool to go and see the nerdy
things that I was a fan of. I picked up a few past issues of Alpha Flight, the
Canadian superheroes. Myself and two other people in the world actually care
about them. I also got to see Leonard Nimoy from about 20 feet away. It was
pretty cool. Him trying to give me his used gum was less so. Now you're
wondering if I'm joking. I guess we'll never know. I previously went into the
story of me attending the first year of VidCon. The compressed version is ... I went
to the first year of VidCon. I went basically on a whim. I saw Hank Green
mentioned it in a video and I decided, yes! I love online video so much that I'm
willing to fly to LA by myself and stand awkwardly in the corner while I saw a
bunch of people I admired do cool things. It also made me convention obsessed! I've
been to every year of VidCon. I've also been to other Hank Green convention. That
includes NerdCon and PodCon. He just has a team that knows how to create a great
event. Now because my mind is always twirling at a few thousand rpms, I've
been thinking of trying to create a convention that happened here in Calgary.
I wanted something like this to be much closer to where I live, instead of it
costing me a thousand dollars every year to go almost 3,000 kilometers south. We
could have it here. I could sleep in my own bed. Or, at the very least, my own
couch after coming home exhausted and gorging myself with Cheetos, and then
falling asleep on the first flat surface while covered in cheese dust. That was a
lot of information for you. I apologize. So then completely
independent of me, fellow Calgary YouTuber JD came to me and said, "We should do a
convention in Calgary." And I said "Yeah!" And then he said, "You're standing too
close." And then I said, "K!" And I didn't move. It was a very awkward 19 minutes. We
roped in a few other people. A couple that have had experience running large
meetups, and a couple that have knowledge and great engagement with a community.
This would be a convention for fans, it would be a convention for creators, it
would be a convention for marketers. It's called the Calgary Digital Expo. Dexpo
for short. It was that or CalDigiPo, and that's not too much like a rare
Pokemon. This is to celebrate the enormous talent that already exists in
Calgary and surrounding area. We have streamers, vloggers, animators, filmmakers,
beauty gurus, and even people who do ASMR. Having the opportunity to bring together
these creators, their fans, and being able to collaborate really excites me! Others
that I have talked to have asked for lgbtq+ panels, information on
sponsorships, best practices for Patreon and other crowdfunding sources, camera
techniques, what all those analytics mean, and so much more. Here's the reality. It's
a hard thing for any big project. In the first year it's the hardest to convince
anyone that they should support or come to it. And I get it. You want to make sure
that your money isn't going down the drain, or waste your time on something
that is lame. To which I say, Burning Man is still a thing. Don't at me. The key is
to start small and to grow it larger. This both won't and can't be what VidCon
is now. This is gonna be, hopefully, a few hundred people coming together to spend
a cool weekend together, share some memories, make a few friends, and discover
some creators you had no idea about. To make this a reality is why I'm asking
for your help. Even if you don't end up coming. Allowing the first year of an
event to get started allows the ball to begin rolling. Yes, absolutely,
each of us organizers could put up five to six thousand dollars of our own money
to make this happen, but none of us are Hank Green. I'm hoping I can connect it to
the end of this video so that you can check out the Kickstarter. It will
definitely be in the description for you to check out. I'd love to know what
questions you have for me. Whether it's about the Kickstarter, or the actual
event. What would you want to see? What types of activities
would you love to have? Who in the Calgary area are must invites? Let me know down
in the comments below. Thanks for watching! My name is Kyle. I upload videos
to this channel every Monday and Thursday. And truthfully, let me know any
questions that you have. Even if it's about the birds and the bees. I'll warn
you though, I still believe that children are harvested from cabbage patches.

6 NEGATIVE Alpha Male Traits | How to NOT be an alpha male - Duration: 8:13.
there are two types of males out there alpha males and also want to become
alpha males this is the truth everyone arguing with it is either a fool or
simply in denial and those people should be left behind
or even better locked up for good it would be an exceptional improvement if
you believe different and be sure to let me know in the comments below if you're
a youtuber into a video reply so we can argue this through I already have it all
lined up so if you're up for a challenge go for it
what's going on powerful people my name is Benjamin and I welcome you to another
video on my channel here you'll find everything related to personal
development today we discuss six- yes I repeat negative traits that alpha
males often adapt or develop over time if you're one of my regular subs then
you might be a bit confused and this confusion will increase during this
video I'll advise you to watch until the end so you might understand it the first
negative trait of an alpha male is arrogance becoming arrogant is not
really an option if you're at the bottom of the food chain because there's simply
no one below you by moving up in the food chain and sports or even in social
circles you will receive more respect and honor respect and honor exceptional
and they can open many doors but if we leave them in our head without
supervision then we might become overly arrogant
arrogance leads to ignorance and being unaware and both of them can be our
downfall we simply don't see the dangers anymore we think we're on top of the
world until an unfortunate event brings us down until our competition runs us
over and until we treat family and friends so badly that they are going to
leave us luckily I can guarantee you that this is preventable for me and
everyone else simply by being aware and watching my videos they are perfect for
the right alpha-male mindset so you better stick around by hitting the
subscribe button the second trait is recklessness which can be a direct
result of arrogance we've grown up in a poor environment and through hard work
we got into a wealthy position but eventually we become reckless we begin
spending it on cars vacation sex and drugs until we're completely broke but
this does not only apply to money we could also become reckless with our own
or even worse the health of someone else we are so confident that nothing is
going to happen as a result we might get robbed or we become a reckless driver
and sacrifice the life of our or we screw our health with the big dose
of steroids recklessness is one of the deadliest traits for every alpha man
training 3 is being overly dominant or not respect status money muscles and
relationships all have one thing in common they grant us power in one form
or another with power comes control over others and if this comes too quickly
then might get out of hand if an alpha male is about to lose something or
someone and he's going to do his very best to prevent this met includes
dominating and even suppressing others that's why some dictators crush freedom
of speech it might induce a revolution and this has to be prevented and that's
exactly what I'm going to do if your comment is inappropriate this can occur
and beta males too but it's an even bigger danger for alpha males because
they usually accumulated more than betas more means also more to lose check out
the following video to see how a tiger reacts once he has something to fight
for
men might not be roaring but they sure as hell do everything to defend their
property number four is intense rivalry competing in itself is perfectly fine
and we men compete in pretty much anything but this can get out of hand
in some situations rivalry is just not appropriate in some situations it's even
counterproductive but if we develop this intense need for competition then we
might not be able to turn it off furthermore losing becomes increasingly
harder we just want to compete and we want to win this can be especially toxic
in friendships some light competition between buddies is one thing but
desperately trying to crush everyone is an entirely different story if you've
enjoyed this video so far then hit the like button if you truly despise me and
this video then be sure to dislike it trait number five is ruthlessness alpha
males have a purpose and plenty of goals goals want to be achieved and alpha
males can be quite ruthless to achieve them they are priority number one and
they are willing to sacrifice the needs of others in order to fulfill their own
dreams again it's a balance game we can't reach all our goals and please
everyone at the same time therefore we need to find a balance between our own
needs and the needs of people around us lastly we have perfectionism alpha males
want it all and they want to do it right and generally that's a good approach but
again it's not always beneficial there are some tasks that don't need to be
perfect we always have to keep the 80/20 principle in mind which says that we can
achieve 80% of our goal with only 20% of the work to get the last 20% right we
would need to spend the remaining 80% of the time
the perfectionist always aims for 100 percent and therefore spends quite a bit
of effort on trivial tasks not everything needs to be perfect sometimes
it is smarter to save the time and invest it into another endeavor an
extremely funny example that I've heard from my girlfriend is that she can dry
dishes with a towel because there remains small pieces of cloth and tiny
stains sometimes a tiny amount of water she's a perfectionist
and she can stand as little fluff this tiny piece the small amount of water so
if she has to dry him she spends significantly more time just to get them
dried perfectly aye you watched until now so I'm willing to
tell you the truth this video was an experiment in the introduction I said
that there are only alpha males and those want to become alpha males
additionally I said that only ignorant people would argue with it and that
everyone else should be locked up I even challenge people to try arguing with me
I included arrogance dominating behavior intense rivalry and perfectionism in
this video and lastly I applied recklessness by uploading this video
most people will never listen to this part of the video therefore they'll
assume I'm actually a dumb fool which in turn screws my youtube channel you could
say that's a little bit reckless this was a way of testing how far I can push
unrealistic over exaggerated generalizations this video used and more
aggressive approach compared to my other videos additionally I wanted to see if
the average viewer actually recognizes what I'm doing I talked about the
dangers of the alpha male and at the same time I viciously applied them I'm
hoping for some butt hurt comments so let's see how this turns out once again
this was an experiment and I hope you enjoyed it if you did and be sure to
subscribe and like if you haven't already I have two actual videos for
becoming an alpha male on the screen right now I wish you a wonderful day and
I will see you in the next video

RUSSIANS REACT TO MEXICAN MUSIC | Jorge Negrete - Yo Soy Mexicano | REACTION - Duration: 6:50.
I think it means "I am Mexican"
Hello guys -Hello Mexico
Right now we're finally gonna react to Jorge Negrete
The song "Yo Soy Mexicano"
He's a legend
He only lived for 40 years
He was born in 1911 and died in 1953
Many Mexican artists went to USA, maybe to develop their career
He was very young, 42 years old
He died during a business trip to Los Angeles
He died of Hepatitis C
Hepatitis C - what is it?
It's something about liver
It's curable now, maybe back then it wasn't curable
He was a Mexican singer and actor
He looks... his face looks very aristocratic
He looks like Pablo Picasso
So, right now we're gonna react to a legend
Legend of Mexican music and cinema -Of the 40s and 50s
And of the 30s too I think -Yeah, probably
The song is called "I am Mexican"
He's very proud of his country if he says "I am Mexican"
It's a scene from a movie, just like in the Perdo Infante video
He met a girl already
Ah, this is him
He has very noble and aristocratic face features
Wow, amazing voice
You see?
This is the famous Mexican scream
They're speeding up
Very classical voice
He's very charismatic
They hold the guitars up here
Awesome, awesome
It reminds me of that small old guy with the mustache from Tom&Jerry
Yes
This is the famous Mexican scream again
That's probably tequila
What a true Mexican always has: sombrero, revolver
And what is he holding in his hands?
I guess it's a cigarette
That was awesome
That was probably from some movie
He's very charismatic
He looks noble
And his posture is great
Noble face
He also has beautiful eyes
And he has great mustache
And he has a great voice too!
I liked how he was fixing his hat
That's his own move
Awesome. Great man -Yeah
Do you remember Perdo Infante?
It was a black&white video too
I can't remember what he looks like
But he died young too... ah, he died in a plane crash
He loved aviation and loved movies, and he was in a plane crash
He passed away in the 30s I think, so early
And Mexicans still remember and honor these artists
They are still popular, even though it's been 100 years
Because it's classic
Awesome men
They were wearing cool outfits in this video
There was a red thing on this part of the jacket... well I think it was red
By the way, in Russia we say "sombrero"...
But "sombrero" in Spanish just means "hat"
But in Russia when we say sombrero, we mean the big Mexican hats
Amazing voice, very charismatic man
It's sad that great artists die so young
Today I think he could be cured
Maybe back then they weren't able to cure it
It's sad
