How To Use Motivation Waves To Build Better Habits? - Duration: 3:08.

- Motivation for me, like I think for most people,

comes in waves.

So there's certain times of days,

and there's certain days or even week long periods

where I feel extremely motivated, ready to get work done,

ready to crush everything that comes my way,

but then there's also times

where I feel extremely bummed out

or extremely tired, and just wanna lay in bed.

So how do you get work done when you're losing motivation?

The answer for me came from B.J. Fogg,

he a psychologist at Stanford,

and specifically this video from Ramit & B.J.,

I found this a couple of years ago,

and it influenced the way that I get all work done.

In this video, Professor B.J. Fogg talks about motivation,

and he says that when you feel motivated,

rather than going out and working,

which is exactly what you wanna do.

You should instead create a system

so that when you feel less motivated,

you'll continue to work.

What does that mean?

Well I'll tell you in two stories.

One is the way that we hire people at Experiment 27.

Me and Robert have both dealt with bad hires in the past,

and I've talked about it in a lot of videos

where you hire somebody and they just don't work out.

Sometimes you don't know they're

not gonna work out for a few months,

and it's super annoying when you have to fire somebody.

Or you find out that they lost you a lot of money,

like Eric Sue talked about in the bad hires video.

So when I figured out we were getting a lot of bad hires,

I could have used that motivation to

one by one, started hiring people,

doing a lot of phone interviews, and making offers.

But instead we followed B.J. Fogg's advice,

and we created a system around hiring.

Now when we hire somebody, we give them a test first,

that's paid, for the first week or two.

And a second test where they work with us

for a little over a month with a reduced monthly payment

before getting an offer letter and signing

on as a member of our team.

That system is what I created with the motivation

rather than outreach or doing labor.

Because once you have a good enough system,

the labor does itself.

I use a similar system for YouTube videos.

I plan YouTube videos by sending myself

emails throughout the week,

and then try to batch the content in a day or two,

before sending it off to Ruben to edit the video.

That's the exact opposite of the system we had before

where I would film a video and release it that same day.

If you watched videos on this channel

from two or three years ago,

you'll see there's a lot of content

where I look extremely tired, extremely run down,

have a beard, my hair's messed up,

and that's because I was creating content every single day.

Which forced me to get into that mode

of making videos every single day,

and the quality of content suffered.

Still feeling motivated, the system became

write the content throughout the week,

batch filming on one or two days,

then hire a video editor.

Ruben is the one on our team right now

to edit the content to a form that's usable.

I'll put a link to the B.J. Fogg video

down in the description.

I recommend highly checking it out.

If you found value in this video,

be sure to share it with a friend or two.

We're trying to hit 100,000 subs

and any shares would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

How to Save Money on a Date Night - Duration: 5:01.

Just imagine coming home from a long day at work.

You come home, you've got a baby spitting up,

you've got a kid that's like, "I wanna watch Peppa Pig!"

And then Winston looks at me, he's like,

"Hey, you wanna go out on a date night?"

Yes, best news ever!

But then I'm like hey, what's in our EveryDollar app?

Do we have the money?

'Cause it can be expensive.

So here are a few ways for you

to save money on a date night.

(relaxing intro music)

Oh, date nights.

One of my favorite nights of the whole week.

But let's be honest, people out there.

They're expensive, right?

I mean, everything from a babysitter if you have kids

to if you go to the movies it's like $80,000 now.

I mean, it's just crazy.

So how can you save money?

I've got you covered.

Number one, with babysitters.

Babysitters, God bless 'em.

They're the best people in the world.

You send out the texts.

All during the day you're like, who can babysit?

And when someone says, "I can," you're like,

thank you God, you are an angel sent from Earth.

But you cost a lot of money, you angel,

so I don't know what to do about that.

So a few ways for you to save is get friends involved,

meaning switch out date nights.

Actually, the guy running this camera right now, named Ian,

said, "Oh, is that one of your pieces of advice?

"We do that all the time.

We've never paid for a babysitter."

True or false?

You've never paid for a babysitter.

Okay.

But his son is like Amelia's age.

So that's like three years going,

only paid for a babysitter once.

We're not that good.

But if you have friends and you're like hey,

we can switch off kids and kid night

then you don't pay for a babysitter.

Or if you're going out with friends,

have them actually bring their kids to your house

or you go take your kids to their house

and pay for one babysitter and let all the kids go crazy

and have that one angelic angel watch them.

And then when you pay her,

you're paying half, they're paying half.

That works too.

Or if you have friends that are willing to babysit,

like I have some girlfriends that are still single,

"Oh yeah, we'll come over, I'd love to watch Amelia."

And she's awesome.

But I don't know, I kind of feel weird being like, hey,

here's a $20 check.

I pay in wine.

Yes, it's like hey, here's a nice bottle of wine.

Save some money, right?

It's great.

And she actually likes that a whole lot better

than the $20 check.

So those are a few ways for you to save on babysitters.

Now when you're actually going out to dinner.

Winston and I's go-to trick a lot

is to go during happy hour.

Your drink are half off, your food's half off.

And yes, it's sometimes a limited menu.

But hey, when you're alone at a restaurant,

you don't really care, right?

It's like, sure, give me that menu.

And then sometimes it defeats the purpose

'cause I end up like getting double of everything.

'Cause I'm like, it's half off!

So watch it, make sure you don't just buy double

because then you're gonna pay the same amount.

But happy hour is a great place to save.

And Winston and I, back in the day,

we don't do this as much anymore,

we would literally split a meal.

So if we like went to an Italian place

and they're like, oh the pasta's really great

but it's really filling and big,

I'm like hey, you get a salad, I'll get a salad,

and we'll split the pasta.

Bada bing!

It's great, save some money.

One of my favorite marriage experts is Dr. Les Parrott

and he talked about, it was some study done

and I wish I like, had the actual facts for you, I don't.

But he talks about how when you go on date nights,

if you actually go and experience something together

versus just going to dinner and a movie,

you actually have a deeper connection

and that date night is lasted and seared into your memory

longer than just like the cliché date night.

So instead of paying for a movie and dinner,

which is gonna be what, like $100 sometimes

or even more depending on where you go?

It's really expensive.

Take that, and this sounds crazy,

but he said it as an example, I haven't done this.

But he's like, him and wife, they went and did

trapeze lessons at this local gym they were offering.

And he was like, it was so random,

he was like, but it was so much fun.

So I'm like yeah, go play like laser tag.

Like go do something just like

completely out of the box.

That really is, it's so fun.

And again, I get bad 'cause I'm just like,

I just wanna go out to a nice dinner.

But take that money every now and then

and go have an experience with your significant other

because it's not only good for you emotionally

and romantically, but also with the money.

And then going off of all of that experience,

if you wanna like, dwindle your money

and save even more, then have a date night in,

which sounds super boring.

But seriously, play a game.

Do something in that's not gonna cost you money.

Maybe there's a Groupon.

Be aware with coupons, you guys.

Read the fine print.

Half the time they're good, half the time they're not.

So make sure you really focus in and be like,

no, this is a great way to save.

So those are ways for you overall from babysitters,

dinner, movie, experiences, all of the above

to save you money on a date night.

So a date night you and your spouse need to have

is one of our Money & Marriage events.

Yeah! Click the link below

and find out where we're gonna be

'cause I'll be coming to a city near you

with the Money & Marriage event.

A date night worth investing in.

So super fun.

So go out there, swing on those trapezes,

and I'll see ya at the Money & Marriage event.

Japan PM Abe's support falls to 39 percent amid cronyism scandal - Duration: 2:11.

Support for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe plummets down to under 40 percent.

Clearly reflecting the public's growing anger... after the nation's finance ministry admitted

to manipulating documents to hide facts linked to acts of cronyism by the Japanese leader.

Lee Jeong-yeon updates us on the repercussions of the scandal that's engulfed Tokyo's politics

over the past few months.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is in a sticky situation,... perhaps the worst he's

been in since taking office, with support rates sliding over suspicions of cover-ups

linked to cronyism.

According to an opinion poll conducted by Jiji Press, his support rate dropped 9 percentage

points to 39 percent.

It's the first time in 5 months that the figure has dipped below 40.

His disapproval rates on the other hand have surged 8-point-5 percentage points to reach

40 percent.

More than 25 percent of those who said they did not support Abe cited 'lack of trust'

as their reason.

Abe and Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso have been under public scrutiny since the

finance ministry admitted last Monday that they altered 14 documents linked to the sale

of state-owned land to a private school operator... at a huge discount of 85 percent.

Abe's wife Akie had been the honorary principle of the school until the scandal broke.

The altercations to the documents include the removal of references to Abe and Akie

before the documents were submitted to the parliament for revision.

The scandal took a darker turn when a note left by a Japanese finance official who committed

suicide surfaced.

In the note, the official claimed he was forced to rewrite records related to the land sale.

Finance Minister Aso is already under pressure,... with opposition parties urging him to step

down from his post.

Abe has said earlier that he would resign if any personal links between him or his wife

with the school were proven to be true.

Whether it'll come down to that is still unclear, but,... the scandal is sure to deal a blow

to Abe's chances of winning a third term as the head of the Liberal Democratic Party in

the party leadership election coming up in September.

President Moon orders gov't to submit constitutional revision bill next Monday - Duration: 2:18.

Turning to the latest in efforts to revise the nation's constitution.

President Moon Jae-in plans to submit his own bill for the ammendment to Parliament

before next Monday.

The Liberal leader highlighted...

March 26th is the absolute deadline for any such proposals.

Hwang Hojun shares with us his remarks.

Less than a week after President Moon was briefed on the outline of the government's

own bill on constitutional revision, the Blue House delivered its ultimatum to the Parliament

Monday morning.

"The President has instructed the Blue House to prepare the government bill for submission

on March 26,"

According to a Blue House official, the 26th is the absolute latest that a bill for the

constitutional amendment can be proposed.

Whether made by the Blue House or the National Assembly, the bill must go through parliamentary

voting within 60 days from the day the motion was made.

Also, people must be notified of a referendum at least 18 days prior to the actual voting

day.

President Moon has been adamant that a proposal for a constitutional change must be made,

either by the government or the parliament, by the end of March, so that a referendum

on the amendment can be held at the same time as the local elections in June.

Otherwise, it could result in more than 110 million U.S. dollars in extra costs.

The Blue House confirmed the move is intended to comply with the procedures and terms set

by the Constitution and the Korean law while giving the National Assembly a last chance

to agree on a constitutional amendment and come up with is own proposal.

"President Moon again said he will respect the agreement made at the National Assembly,

and asked parliament to quickly discuss and reach an agreement on its own bill."

And to help people's understanding of the bill proposed by the government, President

Moon ordered his aides to disclose the contents of the revision proposal over three days -

the Preamble to the Constitution and matters related to basic rights on Tuesday, decentralization

and popular sovereignty on Wednesday, and rights and privileges of constitutional institutions,

including the form of government on Thursday.

The deadline of March 26th means the government's proposal will be made while President Moon

is visiting Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates,... where he'll be from the 22nd to the 28th of

this month.

N. Korean leader 'gave his word' of commitment to denuclearize: S. Korean FM - Duration: 1:56.

The nation's top diplomat said...

Kim Jong-un gave his word' that Pyongyang will denuclearize.

Adding... whether Seoul should believe this commitment is a different matter... but South

Korea will continue talking with the regime for a move forward.

Oh Jung-hee has more from the minister's recent interview.

The North Korean leader, for the first time, has 'given his word' of commitment to denuclearize,...

and for South Korea,... it's not a matter of whether to trust it,... but to keep on

talking with the regime.

That's according to South Korea's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha... who was speaking

in an interview with U.S. broadcaster CBS.

With the third historic inter-Korean summit talks slated for next month,... Seoul's top

diplomat stressed that...

South Korea will aim to have denuclearization on the table.

And when asked which conditions Pyongyang has to meet before the talks,... Kang answered

that the regime already has met the conditions.

Seoul has called on Pyongyang to show a clear indication of will to denuclearize,... and

Kim Jong-un has given his word.

Kang said it's the first time such words came directly from the North Korean leader... and

therefore, is very valuable.

Asked whether Seoul trusts Kim Jong-un,...

Minister Kang answered... it's not a matter of trust, but just discussing and pressing

for action.

She added that...

Seoul and Washington are not offering Pyongyang any reward for the negotiations.

The interview also covered U.S. President Trump's recent comment... that hinted American

troops could be pulled out from South Korea... if trade negotiations don't work out.

Kang said...

President Trump's mention of 'troops' raises eyebrows every time... and that South Korea

takes the remarks seriously... but stressed that Seoul has a firm belief

in Washington's commitment to the alliance and military presence.

Kang added... the South Korea-U.S. alliance has been at the base of peace and security

on the Korean Peninsula... as well as in Northeast Asia.

Ponds by Michael Wheat - Duration: 2:56.

Well we already had a pond but it was small, and dark, and dingy and we wanted

to improve it I Googled "Pond Builders" and found Michael Wheat. I had some

specific ideas of what I wanted but really I wanted him to come up with some

ideas for me, so he came back with a plan and then went from there

the service was great: right from the initial contact with Michael, to the team coming all of

them were great they were friendly, polite - we've got three dogs

one of them's absolutely obsessed with balls and the team took their time to

throw the ball for it in between building the pond so there's like an added extra!

It's just stunning first thing everyone says is Wow! I like to come

and sit out here we're cup of coffee, and just sit and look at the fish, feed the

fish and listen to the waterfall.

I absolutely would recommend them

definitely and we'd certainly use them again if we were looking to do something

within the garden - extremely happy, we couldn't be happier yeah. Love it!

[music]

I decided to have the patio done by Michael because he did the front of the

house last year which is beautiful and, this time, I was holding a garden party

and just wanted to basically tidy the patio, and I asked Michael to design some

borders for me and plant it up it was done in three days. They were

great they were just lovely lovely people and they worked very very hard

bless them!

The majority of people that did come to the garden party knew what

it looked like before, so obviously when they saw it completed they were just

astonished - they loved it.

I would definitely recommend them, Michael is an

extremely easy guy to get on with: he understands what you want, and he works

with you through the planning, and what have you; he's got very good ideas

and a huge amount of knowledge obviously with regards to the plants. The guys and

girls that work for him are and just lovely lovely people yeah and they just

they just get on with it and do the job, yes I'm very happy, I look forward

obviously to saying everything developing like it has around the front

of the house and I've just got to obviously keep on top of the watering!

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner Review || Southeast by Midwest - Duration: 9:03.

Hello everybody and welcome back to Southeast by Midwest I'm Cassie and

today we are going to be talking about the Oribe Gold Lust Repair and Restore

Shampoo and Conditioner. Now if you want to know if these are worth

their almost hundred dollar price tag, not for this size, but if you want to know

if the largest size is worth the hundred dollar price tags just keep watching.

As always here on Southeast by Midwest before we get into talking about the

products we always disclose and the disclosure for this post is that I

received these in a Birchbox I believe, I will link the blog post or the video

down below if I did, and I've been using these and I wanted to kind of review

them to let you know if I thought they were worth purchasing the bigger sizes.

So let's jump into more information about these. The first thing that I want

to touch on is the sizing for these. I did mention it in the intro that the

hundred dollar price tag is not for these larger sizes so I do want to kind of

touch base on the sizing. So these are both a 0.5 ounces. Now the

thing is is that for the actual full sizes the pricing for each is not the

same and the sizing is not the same but the samples were both the same size so

0.5 ounces is what is in my hand right now. The actual first size you can

purchase anywhere is the 1.7 ounce and that will be $17 for the shampoo and $18

for the conditioner. I do not know why the conditioner is a dollar more. The

next size up is 8.5 ounces for the shampoo and that is a $49 and for the

conditioner it is 6.8 ounces and it is $52. So for the next size up you get a

lot less for the conditioner but it costs several dollars more so I don't

understand what's going on with the pricing at all. And then the largest size

for both of them is a one liter bottle that actually has a pump and for the

shampoo that one is $154 and for the

conditioner it's $182. Now I do want to mention that if you

purchase these on Beautylish the one liters can be broken into three

payments, no credit checks. And it would be three payments for the shampoo it

would be $51.33 and for the conditioner it is $60.67

for each payment. So now let's talk about what they actually

do, starting with the shampoo. It has what is called bromelain in it, which is a

natural enzyme, and what it does is it actually... it's kind of unfocusing on me [about video].

It actually exfoliates the scalp and balances the scalps pH better than

what a regular shampoo would do. They both contain the Oribe Signature

Complex, which is a blend of flowers, and that's supposed to protect your hair

from the environment drying it out, damaging it, and fading your color. They

both also have Mediterranean Cyprus Extract, which is supposed to go into the

cuticle fortify it, nourish it, and strengthen it which you really do want

in your cuticle. And then both of them also have argan and

maracuja oils which are supposed to hydrate, add some glossiness, and on the

conditioner they'll protect from the UV rays of the Sun. They are also vegan and

cruelty, phthalate, sulfate free. Now as for the cruelty free I do want to mention

that while Oribe is currently right now cruelty free it is recently purchased by

a company who is not cruelty free so if you're one of those people who does not

want to purchase from a brand whose owner is not cruelty free as well then

you're gonna want to skip this however if you just want that specific brand

to be cruelty free or you you know don't have a problem at all cruelty free or

non cruelty free then you could give these a try. Alright now let's get into

my review. I actually loved these. So I had talked recently about one of my

favorite haircare being the Kenra Professional Hair Care. I had gotten some

for PR that I never talked about because I received it right around the time I

went to the emergency room, Travis went into the hospital, and we lost Norbert so

all that together it kind of got pushed to the back and I just

kind of haven't submitted the post even though I really should have done that.

That being said I have mentioned before that I did go and purchase the full-size

pump bottles from Ulta because I loved it so much. The only thing stopping me

from purchasing the full-size of both of these it is that $150 and

$180 price tag, that is a lot for a shampoo and conditioner

even if it is one liter but I also just recently purchased those so I have

almost half to three quarters of these big pump bottles of the Kenra

Professionals that I need to use which I used earlier before filming this so. Not

these I used the Kenra cause these are empty, these have been empty. The way that I judge whether

a shampoo and conditioner works is I judge it based on the dandruff that I

have in my scalp. So I've mentioned this before and it gets a little icky but due

to the eczema and my severe dry skin... do not do... good that's a good girl,

sorry ghost was contemplating knocking over the tripod! But anyway I judge it

based on how well it does with my eczema and my dry scalp. So I get flakes because

I have an eczema or I don't know if you would consider it psoriasis at this

point but it kind of flakes and I do get dandruff. So the way that I judge a

shampoo is if I shampoo and condition my hair in the morning and if it's there, you

know the flakes are back, by midday or that same you know later that day then

that is not a great shampoo. Depending on how long it takes and how my hair feels

will be where I judge it based off of a poor shampoo to an ok shampoo. Now if it

lasts until bedtime then I've moved it up into the good because with the level

of dandruff and flaking I have for it to have lasted that long is actually pretty

good. And if it lasts for the next day or beyond I consider it a great shampoo and

conditioner and these actually had it, I shampoo because how dry my scalp is I

shampoo like three times a week and this actually lasted till the second shampoo.

Like there was no flaking no dandruff in my strands or anything

like that all the way to the second shampoo so that was super amazing, I had

less shedding of my hair and it just overall was a great shampoo I really do

like it better than the Kenra at the moment. That being said they do now have

a dandruff line that was recently released on Beautylish that is a little

bit cheaper than this Gold Lust that I'm contemplating purchasing and kind of

partnering with my Kenra. So like shampoo on Monday with the Kenra, shampoo on

like Wednesday with the dandruff, and then shampoo on like Friday with the Kenra

again. Kind of doing something like that and then reporting back and seeing how

those do. But I absolutely love these I've noticed a huge difference in my

hair and in my scalp. I highly recommend these. So obviously you can tell that my

final thoughts on these are that if you have the money to lay down and you're

looking for a great hair care kind of product then these are for sure ones you

want to give a try or if not at least something in the Oribe line because I

think these are so expensive because of that Gold Lust in there, so you might be

able to find something in the Oribe line that's a little cheaper that you may

like as well and I do know that their dry shampoo and their texturizing spray

goes into subscription boxes like ain't nobody's business so keep your eye out

for them there as well. Hopefully you enjoyed this video and you found it

informative if you did make sure to give it a thumbs up and share it with all of

your friends it really does help. Make sure to leave me a comment down below telling me

what your favorite hair care like brand is like what brand do you, you may go and

play with other brands but the brand that you always go back to you which one

is it for you? Make sure to follow me on the social media linked down below because I do

have some giveaways coming up. And until next time say bye, say bye Ghosty

with the Mosty. Yes her is. She doesn't like being held up like this no her doesn't.

You gonna tell everybody bye? Yes. So cute. (kiss) Bye.

Seminar on 'New Northern Policy' takes place in Seoul - Duration: 2:51.

The New Northern Policy.

It centers around creating a huge economic area that would expand from the Korean Peninsula

and the Russian Far East to Eurasia.

Public and private sector experts gathered to talk about the details of that government

plan to help find a new growth engine.

Kim Hyesung sheds light on what was discussed at that seminar.

Forming a Peaceful and Prosperous Northern Economic Community.

Around 200 participants, including academics, foreign diplomats and Korean government officials

gathered in Seoul on Monday to share their insight on the 'New Northern Policy,'... which

aims to connect Korea with Russia, Mongolia and other Eurasian countries.

"We are witnessing improving inter-Korean ties and a rare opportunity for denuclearization

and peace on the Korean peninsula.

Northern economic cooperation has been a dream for Korea and Eurasia since the post cold-war

period.

There is more room for development and we hope to bring about even greater shared prosperity."

The Eurasian region that connects Europe and Asia, is emerging as a strategic hub in the

21st century.

China, India, and Russia are all pushing for initiatives to integrate the region economically.

President Moon Jae-in also unveiled Korea's plan to connect the region at the Eastern

Economic Forum in Vladivostok last September.

Since then, projects involving the natural gas, agriculture and fisheries sectors have

been gaining traction, with Korean and Russian representatives establishing a consultative

body to iron out the details early this month.

"We should think about the future.

I suppose the main promise, is made on science and technology cooperation.

We have to cooperate to produce new knowledge, new technologies, new materials, it's much

better to use Korean technology to develop Russian resources."

Representatives and diplomats from Eurasia said it's not the first time Korea has proposed

a plan to integrate the region, and said there should be more experts on Eurasia, people-to-people

exchanges, and science and technology cooperation on top of resource and logistics development.

To do that, Korean representatives said financing is a key challenge, and that securing a safe,

business friendly environment for Korean companies hoping to invest in the region is critical,

with some suggesting ideas like creating an investment bank for financing.

"Experts emphasized that cooperation should start with small, feasible projects to build

mutual trust,... and that long-term consistency is needed to turn the vision of the New Northern

Policy into reality."

Putin's re-election unlikely to affect policy on N. Korea: Expert - Duration: 1:53.

As expected, Vladimir Putin reprises his role as Russian President with a landslide election

victory.

With him leading Moscow for another six years... drastic shifts in policies on North Korea

issues seem highly unlikely.

Park Hee-jun explains further.

Vladimir Putin has unsurprisingly been re-elected by a landslide to a fourth term as president.

With a whopping 76 percent of the votes, he'll be in power of the largest country in the

world,... at least until 2024.

"Thank you very much for your support.

Success awaits us.

It is very important to stay unified, my dear people.

It is very important to win over even those who might have voted for different candidates."

But how does his re-election affect South Korea, and specifically the nuclear crisis

on the Peninsula?

Much depends on Putin himself,... but it's believed that Russia will remain faithful

to the task of persuading North Korea to denuclearize.

"Russia's official stance is that it agrees with pressuring the North to give up its nuclear

capabilities.

And since it's cooperating with the UN Security Council resolutions,... it would be difficult

for Russia to change its stance.

But if it doesn't take action -- for instance, if it does not deport North Korean workers

from Russia -- this would not be helpful."

Plus, with the upcoming summits related to North Korea,... Russia -- together with China

-- is expected to act assertively for its own interests.

Russia wants to keep the U.S. from expanding its influence on the Korean Peninsula, so

it's likely that Putin will strongly suggest that the nuclear issue be solved through multi-party

talks.

But to keep Russia from breaking away from international efforts to denuclearize the

North,...

South Korea needs to concentrate its diplomatic efforts on keeping Russia on side.

In that respect, experts say,... it's vital for South Korea to maintain close relations

with the U.S., because it's America that has the most influence on Russia diplomatically.

Does Modesty Contribute to Rape Culture? - Duration: 3:19.

Do you think that by asking a woman to dress modestly that you're contributing to the rape culture?

The short answer? No.

No, I do not think that encouraging women to dress modestly is contributing to the rape culture.

In all honesty, the biggest contributor to the rape culture is pornography.

According to a study found on Fight the New Drug,

those who viewed and exposed themselves to violent pornography

were six times more likely to have raped somebody than those who had low past exposure.

I'm not saying that everyone who watches pornography is one day going to become a rapist.

But pornography still teaches us to use people and love things.

Instead of loving people and using things.

Pornography teaches us to treat people as objects for our own gratification.

Now I want to make something abundantly clear before I continue.

No woman ever deserves to be taken advantage of.

Regardless of what she's wearing.

Every woman should be treated with dignity and respect.

Whether she dresses modestly or immodestly.

Okay. Now with that being said, moving on.

Our culture has warped our understanding of modesty

and has presented it to us as something evil and insulting to women.

Instead of what it truly is.

Something virtuous and empowering.

I want to reclaim the word "modesty."

I am tired of this culture trying to feed us the lies that we are nothing more

than our sexuality and our bodies.

I'm tired of this culture oversexualizing us.

Enough is enough. Ladies, our bodies are not a sin.

Practicing modesty does not mean looking at our bodies with shame.

Modesty does not say, "Hey, cover up your body cuz you causin' sin."

No, actually what modesty does is it reverences our bodies.

Our bodies are beautiful and strong.

Modesty actually empowers us as women because

when we dress modestly, what we are saying is that we are a fierce force to be reckoned with.

Modesty actually allows the world to see us for us.

Because we are so much more than our bodies.

Ladies, I know how challenging it is for us to dress modestly.

And how it's actually a radical thing to do in our culture today.

But I've been on the other side.

I have dressed the way that this culture has told me.

The way it said would bring me true confidence.

That would empower me.

But what I found is that it actually did the opposite.

What I found is that it actually made me more self-conscious and made me feel powerless.

I was receiving attention, but it was never the attention I deserved nor truly desired.

Because I knew that the attention was for my body, not for me as the human person.

Modesty allows us to accept our beauty.

Our true beauty.

And grow in confidence in that.

Because when we dress immodestly, what we are doing is telling the world

that our beauty just stops at our bodies

when our beauty is so much deeper than that.

So no.

I do not think that encouraging women to dress modestly is contributing to the rape culture.

Actually, I believe it firmly stands against it and tells the culture:

I am not an object for your gratification.

I am not an object to be taken advantage of.

I am a human person.

I am strong and bold.

I am a fierce force to be reckoned with.

Essence Of Murli 20-03-2018 - Duration: 7:21.

Om Shanti !

Today's Murli Date Is 20th March 2018

Essence:Sweet children, the influence of bad company makes your intellect develop doubt.

Therefore, never become influenced by bad company and thereby stop studying.

It is said: Good company takes you across and bad company drowns you.

Question:Which shrimat does the Father give you to change you from shells into diamonds?

Answer: The Father's shrimat is: Children, while living at home with your families, live like a lotus.

Just as a lotus is not affected by muddy water, in the same way, while living in the vicious world, you touched by the vices should not be.

This is your final birth before you go to the viceless world. Therefore, become pure.

By following this one shrimat you will become diamonds from shells and the masters of heaven.

Song: The heart says thanks to the One who has given it support.

Essence for dharna: 1. Never allow your faith to decrease due to storms.

For this, be careful of the company you keep. Follow shrimat fully.

2. In this final birth, definitely become completely viceless by following shrimat.

While living in the vicious world, be careful that the vices don't touch you.

Blessing:May you be a humble instrument who closes the door to the consciousness of "I" and bids farewell to Maya.

If, having done some service, a server has the thought,

"I did this", then that consciousness of "I" means washing away everything he or she has done (erasing everything).

A server should never forget the Father who is Karavanhar (One who inspires).

"He inspire and I, as an instrument, carry it out".

Where there is the consciousness of being an instrument, there will definitely be the consciousness of humility.

When I am a humble instrument, Maya cannot come.

Close the door to the consciousness of "I" and Maya will bid you farewell.

Slogan: The speciality of holy swans is cleanliness: to be clean and make everyone clean is their service.

To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from the Mother, the Father, BapDada.

The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.

We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste

Om Shanti !
