Prejudice or Sexy? What Japanese REALLY think of GYARU GIRLS in Japan. - Duration: 6:55.

They're cute. Harajuku and Gyaru culture are both very unique in their own ways.

That's why they split in two.

The image I have of Gyaru girls is long lashes, and lots of makeup.

One of my friends was very individual like that.

Hey guys it's Cathy Cat. Gyaru are the wild girls of Japan

They dress sexy, they are super cute and they are a little bit wilder

than we maybe expect the person to be.

That's a fashion style that has been very big in Japan, especially in Tokyo

but it's changed over the last couple of years.

This time we are gonna go onto the streets of Tokyo

and ask Japanese people about their opinion of Gyaru and also

what the general idea is, what their first impression is,

and if they maybe ever wanted to try it.

Let's go and ask Japanese people. And don't forget,

What's the image you have of gyaru girls?

They are just so cute. They don't wanna look like everyone else.

I wanna keep doing things differently from others.

They're cute. Harajuku and Gyaru culture are both very unique in their own ways.

That's why they split into two ways.

In the middle are people that just go with what's trendy in normal fashion.

And then on both opposite ends are Harajuku kawaii girls and Gyaru girls.

Do you think both those styles are unique to Japan?

The Harajuku kawaii culture has started from Japan.

That's what people appreciate about Japan.

People from abroad like seeing it.

The world acknowledges Harajuku Fashion.

But Gyaru girls pick a type of "kawaii", cute, that men like.

It's a cute style that is stronger and sexy.

So a childish kawaii and a sexy kawaii?

Yes exactly!

Harajuku kawaii is girly and fluffy stuff that girls like.

But Gyaru girls have a more edgy kind of kawaii.

Sexy and strong, cute girls.

Edgy cute is a nice way of saying it.

If you became a gyaru what would you do? - I wanna walk around town.

I would flaunt my sexiness.

What image do you have of Gyaru girls? - Image?

I don't have a bad image but...

But in Japanese society, we don't think highly of Gyaru girls.

We have the image that they don't settle for a real job, or won't work as hard

That's why there have become less. And well, the trend has been going down...

It's not trendy to be a gyaru right now, that's why there are less.

The image I have of Gyaru girls is long lashes, and lots of makeup.

What do you personally think of Gyaru girls?

I would not want a gyaru girlfriend...

As a friend though, yes. They can wear what they like.

If you asked me yes or no... I'd say no...

Why so?

Well as girlfriend... Gyaru girls seem so excited and party like...

I can only imagine them as friends to have a good time with.

What image do you have of Gyaru girls?

Gyaru? They are really unique!

They are really individual and they have their own Gyaru makeup.

There was also the really dark Mamba makeup years ago.

Even though they were rejected by society, they decided to be themselves.

And I thought that was amazing.

Their clothes and such are very unique.

I don't think they are bad girls. Some girls do really cute makeup still...

I knew some girls who were gyaru, and it didn't bother me...

They didn't have a bad personality or anything.

One of my friends was very individual like that.

I didn't have a weird image of gyaru girls. I thought she looked cute.

You keep saying weird image. Does gyaru culture have a bad image?

My parents often told me never to become like my friend.

So initially I had a bad image of gyaru.

But I made friends with many, and those girls were nice girls.

That was just the bad image that the older generation had of those girls.

So the parents generation thought badly of them?

My parents forbid me to wear that fashion or their kind of makeup.

What is so bad about gyaru?

My parents seemed to think that those girls are so loud and flashy.

They wore thick eyeliner and such...

My parents were against that.

That's why they forbid me to copy that.

The makeup was too strong. - They didn't like that.

The parents generation has a lot of prejudice against gyaru.

Even though you're born with black hair, they die it blonde and such...

I personally loved that though...

When I was in high school I wore thick makeup too

So you were a Gyaru girl in school? - Yes I was.

What did you like about being a gyaru?

I liked how we all were so loud and excited and had a good time.

Gyaru seem to always have fun. - Yes we would when we hung out.

We actually went and interviewed people that work at the Kurogyaru cafe

which is actually in Shibuya, Tokyo, where most gyaru girls used to be.

It's girls who are still living the gyaru and kurogyaru livestyle.

And they have their own bar. They dress interested customers up

in the same style, give them the same makeover and

so you have a chance to experience that gyaru lifestyle.

so don't want to begin with this military comparison starting off with the country of Pakistan the Pakistan armed forces of the military forces of

Pakistan they're the sixth largest in the entire world in terms of active military

Personnel as well as you're the largest in all of the Muslim countries Pakistan has the world's sixth largest

Nuclear arsenal as well the total manpower available in Pakistan's military is 95 million

They have a total of six hundred and thirty-seven thousand active personnel and their reserve personnel are two hundred and eighty-two

Thousand now to introduce

Turkey Turkey ranks 8th in the world for his total military power and what makes a Turkish military force so

Interesting is that since turkey is the only?

Secular power that can negotiate with Middle Eastern countries at a cultural level the Turkish army has a huge impact on

middle-eastern relations as well as politics turkeys total manpower available is at

41 million six hundred and forty thousand

It's active personnel are a total of three hundred eighty two thousand eight hundred and fifty

And they have a reserve personnel of three hundred and sixty thousand five hundred and sixty-five now

Let's take a look at the divisions of their military and compare them side-by-side

Starting off with the pakistani army when we look at the pakistan army. They have a total of

2,920 for combat tanks

And they have two thousand eight hundred and twenty eight armored fighting vehicles

They have a total of 134 rocker projectors, and they're told artillery equal

3278 as well as they have

465 self-propelled artillery for turkeys army strength they have two thousand four hundred forty-five combat tanks

7550 armored fighting vehicles they have eight hundred eleven rocket projectors as well as they have six hundred ninety

seven towed artillery and

1113 self-propelled artillery now. Let's move on from their army to their Air Forces to see what's going on up there

Pakistan has a total of 301 fighter aircraft. They have 394 attack aircraft

261 transport aircrafts 190 trainer aircraft and their total helicopters are at

316 and out of those they have 52 attack helicopters for Turkey they have

207 fighter aircrafts they also have 270 tact aircrafts their transport aircrafts are 439 they have

276 trainer aircrafts and their total helicopters are at

455 and they have 70 attack helicopters now for the comparison of their navies in Pakistan's Navy. There's a total of

197 naval assets

They have 17 patrol crafts eight submarines ten frigates and three-mile warfare vessels in Turkey's Navy. They have

194 total naval assets

thirty-four patrol crafts sixteen frigates twelve submarines and nine Corvettes

And they have eleven mine warfare vessels now currently Pakistan has a total defence budget of seven billion dollars u.s.

But Pakistan is said to increase its defense spending to eight point seven eight billion dollars u.s.. During the fiscal year of

2017 to 2018 so in the year 2018 now so that's going to be coming up real soon

if not in effect already now a large portion of Pakistan's military is going to it's

Huge budget priorities that are its combat aircraft submarines surface warships

And the country's various indigenous missile programs

Turkey their defense budget is a little bit higher at eleven point five billion dollars u.s.

And look at this so turkeys defense budget has increased by nearly fifty percent since Jen of

2017 and this is according to the Official Gazette

Despite having a second largest army in NATO Turkey was not among the top 15 military spenders in the year 2016

And those top sprinters were of course US China Russia

Saudi Arabia as well as India now that concludes your military comparison of Pakistan and Turkey

Rain Bird Valve Boxes Overview and How To Use - Duration: 6:54.

So I'm gonna put my Rain Bird hat on for a minute. (See what I did there DK?)

I've done a video on these valve boxes before but I don't think they get enough love

Rain Bird are a very progressive irrigation company they don't go to

market with a product unless they're really happy about it and they decided

that the valve box market didn't have I guess sufficient development as far as

they were concerned so they went back and their people have designed a valve

box that meets I guess a lot more requirements and probably requirements

that people didn't really know that they had so I was going to go through a bit

of the few of the features that this Rain Bird this is a 1419-12 commercial

green so potable or drinking water so this is the valve box it comes with a

lid we we sell them as a recycled water or lilac lid or with the green lid

they come with the bolt so most of these are being installed in public areas and

the bolts there to stop any vandalism or theft they don't have to have the bolt

so you have a look there there's a knock out there that you can that you can hit

and add the bolt to it but if you don't want to have the bolt feature there and

you're just putting it in an area that's low risk there's not the hole there

already so a lot of other commercial valve boxes will have a hole there

regardless and then you've got that water ingress concern when you're

watering so that the valve box becomes full of weeds and debris to get the

valve box lids them off once they're in the ground there's this slot here that's

designed for you to put a spade or a shovel in and lift it up so for

anyone out there that's installing or maintaining valves inside these boxes

you would have experienced how difficult it is to pop a lid from an existing box

when there's grass growing right around it makes it nice and easy the

actual box itself has quite a large footprint you'll see there and so that's

going to make it less likely to drill itself into the ground when it's been

driven over by a vehicle it has a dual purpose as well these valve boxes are

designed to be stacked on top of each other so if you have a look, I've got another

valve box here this if I get it right first time

there's only two ways that this can go on and I didn't get it right first time

so if you have it up there those two they've stacked inside each other and if you

wanted to you could probably pop some tech screws through there to hold them

together but you've got a nice deep valve book so if you've got an area

where the valve is quite deep in the ground but you still need to

get that ground level here, this is the way to do it they come with these

knockouts so you can have four solenoid valves three solenoid valves or in

commercial case you might have one big pipe so a 50 mm PVC running through

with a sol valve in the middle these you knock off with a hammer or with your

hand and then they actually have a little bit on the back so what you see

these knockouts they're on all sides there's four on one side three on the

other side and then obviously the one and the one I really should have my

Rain Bird hat on for this is a pretty cool hat DK, I can get you one of

these, I'll hook you up so they've got that little shaft there that slides back down

here so you pull that off and then it slides back down so you can

get it quite low on top of the pipe that's gone through the hole and then

you have a small hole there but then all you do is wrap some plastic around that

tape it up and the idea is that it stops dirt from coming into the

valve box so too many places you'll see valve boxes that have been dug that they

cut the shit out of it they'll slice everything off just to get

it over the top just to get it level with the finished grass level just

to appease I guess someone that's walking past and looking but underneath

nothing good's been done so you've got like grass and loam and roots all coming

into the valve box because it hasn't been installed well so these can be

installed either directly on the ground they can be put onto bricks so some

councils we've got a council that we deal with who refuses to let people use

concrete and brick slabs underneath then we've got other councils that love it

and you know every specs got bricks and the concrete slab so that's really up to

the council there's pros and cons for either the I think the guys that don't

like the concrete slabs want to be able to twist the valves out and they find

that if they have to dig down they can't because it's concrete there it does keep

it nice and neat but you can also do that by putting

a bag of gravel or aggregate in the bottom of the box it just keeps it nice

and neat and so yeah that's that this lock bolt here if you have a look here

so this piece of metal slides onto there and it gives that a thread and then you

knock this here out so you'll hit it with a with the bolt and a hammer or you

could drill it out but it's designed to be knocked out and obviously this is

closed at the moment and then once you've knocked down you'll bolt that

down tighten that up so obviously they're not vandal completely proof but

if you want to come and steal a valve or access this box you need to bring a a

ratchet or a spanner so if you really want to get in there I guess you can

as I mentioned these these come in green or lilac so lilac's to identify

recycled water they also come in different sizes and you'll find as well

once you get up to that really super maxi jumbo I think the pricing for

the competing valve boxes you're looking at $500 - $600 for a valve box

these guys might be $350 to $380 because

I guess it's a supply and demand thing they're such a big player in the world

these they're able to- and this is another thing that's amusing

it's not amusing it's kind of sad we're able to buy these valve boxes cheaper in

Australia than some of the Australian manufactured ones and they come from the

US now as I've mentioned in previous videos I don't buy from outside of South

Australia or Australia without good reason and again this is another product

similar to the Xeri-bug which we made that video on that's got the so feature-rich

and price competitive you can't ignore it

these are available here at our store waterpro.com.au I think that

another thing that's really important to highlight is that in most cases buying

two of these will cost the same as buying a Carson valve box which I think

over specified into the market it's unbelievable how something like a Carson

valve box gets added to a spec at council level and it stays there for

five years and no one asks any questions these are really good box really strong

Rain Bird bring them in across the country so you can buy them anywhere in

Australia. You don't have to buy them from waterpro but I just think it was

really important to highlight the quality of these boxes the features of

the boxes so that I guess you're more informed to make decisions around what

you're putting in in your areas so yeah thank you very much again please

and talk about my language learning journey with Portuguese in Portuguese

my Portuguese is not great but I don't think it's horrible either

but I still make mistakes and I still pronounce things wrong

and yes if you haven't subscribed to my channel yet, please do!

So I started learning Portuguese last year in August

And I practiced and studied every day since then

now I am learning with Duolingo

and I'm almost finished with the course

like the tree

I really like Duolingo because it seems to help me

I also have books to learn with or to help out

like this

I also try to read children's books on my kindle aloud

like "The Little Prince"

And yes I have my phone settings are in Portuguese

this helps a little

but one of the biggest things that helps me

is a huge amount of immersion, like all day

every day I try to watch a series on Netflix

or videos on Youtube

in Portuguese with subtitles

so I know what's being said

this helps a lot especially with my accent

and I also try to talk with myself

to see what I can improve

I translate songs and articles to English

I also write journals and make video diaries

to help as well

I think that the most important thing that I do is

integrating it into my every day life and using Portuguese every day

and yes these are some of the things that I do

and a little background with my language learning journey

but my head is spinning

SEVEN Signs Liver is Out of Balance - Duration: 7:39.

Welcome I'm Dr. Melina Roberts and I want to talk today about the liver.

I want to talk about the seven signs that your liver might be out of balance because your liver

What it is is it's your body's major

detoxifying organ and so anything that comes into the body the liver filters it then moves it out now if the liver is not

functioning at its best that means that we can be

accumulating toxins within our body and within our tissues, so we really want to make sure that that liver is functioning well.

But we need to know the signs and be able to listen to our body and know

that the liver is not functioning at its best so one of the signs that the liver is out of balance is if we have any

sort of digestive issues.

Now the liver plays a key role in terms of proper digestion so if we have any

issues around proper digestion

then the liver may be out of balance and that may be something that we want to be exploring.

Another indication that that liver might be out of balance is if you have any sort of gallbladder issues

because the gallbladder and the liver play a really close role together.

Because what happens is that the liver

manufactures bile and

the gallbladder

holds that and stores that bile, and then as you're eating your food the gallbladder

squeezes some of that bile into your digestive tract to help you properly

metabolize fats so if you're having any issues properly

breaking down fats with your fat metabolism it can be due to liver gallbladder issues.

Another sign that that liver might be out of balance is if you experience any sort of hormonal imbalance.

Because the liver what it does is it it

manufactures

cholesterol and cholesterol is the building block of all of your hormones, so it's hormones for your

reproductive

organs, so your estrogen, progesterone, testosterone.

It's also

makes

adrenal hormones

and it makes hormones for the thyroid. So if you are

experiencing any sort of hormonal imbalance it may be related to the liver not functioning at its best.

So this can be some key factors as well.

Now another

indication that the liver may be out of balance is if you experience any

congestion of the

lymphatic system.

Now the lymphatic system, what it is is it's kind of like the sewer system of the body.

It's what cleans up all your tissues, it filters it all and

then it actually moves it through the liver and out the colon

but if that liver is congested it backs up that system so that we now get congestion in the

lymphatic system and the lymphatic system

congestion in the lymphatic system can show up in a number of ways, it can show up in the head and neck, so some

chronic sinus infections or chronic ear nose and throat

infections. It can show up as

headaches, it can also show up as some edema in the hands or ankles.

We can also get a number of different issues showing up in terms of proper digestion.

But these can all be signs

that the lymphatic system is congested

and if we're seeing any sort of signs that the lymphatic system is congested

we also need to examine the liver function because that might be the

blockage point of why this whole lymphatic system isn't properly draining. Now another sign

that the liver is not functioning at its best can be some inflammatory

signs. So we first see any signs of inflammation in the body, first of all it can be because if the liver is not

functioning at its best then

toxins are staying within our tissues and when those toxins can't get out then that inflammation just

continues to increase in our body and that inflammation can show up in a number of ways. It can show up as

pain, it can show up as swelling, it can show up as

if we're having any sort of pain actually over the liver or even if you have joint pain like arthritis.

So all of this

inflammation in the body

may be related to the liver, so anytime you have inflammation in the body you need to also examine liver function.

Now another sign that the liver may be out of balance is if you're experiencing any sort of skin issues.

Now these skin issues can be everything from

acne to rosacea to if you're having any sort of hives breakout,

itchiness, rashes,

psoriasis, any of these skin issues can be actually related to the liver

because what happens is that you have these primary organs of detoxification and these

primary organs of detoxification are your liver and your kidneys

now if they aren't working at their best then your body will move that toxic load out through the

secondary organs of detoxification

which is

often the skin because the skin is the largest organ

so

often when we see stuff showing up on the skin we need to be working on the liver and

not just be focused on

superficially on the skin we always got to work from the inside out.

Now the seventh sign that the liver may be out of balance is if you're experiencing

irritability or anger. Now these are emotions that are attached to the liver and so if we're

experiencing any of these

emotional things that just seem to be

higher than

or heightened emotions or

they seem like they're not, you're just a lot more irritable a lot more angry than you typically are.

These would be signs that the liver is out of balance that there's some congestion.

So these are some of the signs that the liver is out of balance and that we need to be paying attention to

working on improving that liver function overall.

Hello from Coach Dom Costa we are at the first unit the ten dollar unit so let's see

what we got yeah lights are dead over here so we got odds and sods no dead

bodies find out anything is good in here oh my god a thousand containers of weed

well the empty containers so I'll go through this and we'll see what we can

find got a load and go more to do I'll keep you posted

so I think what you guys saw before is I got the medical marijuana a container

unit as man I got lots of containers here and the lids

well kids I scored the medical marijuana or cannabis unit I got bags I got all

the little bottles you could ever want Well back again with the second unit

let's open put it up and see what we got

not too shabby I like the things are in containers oh dude we got horns antlers

I've always got more stories I can't tell you like the other guys if it's

basically 180 bucks for two units I think I got plenty to resale and I'll
