This is the third or fourth time I'm driving an S-Class coupe or CL, as it was called before.
Drove it. Drive it. A difficult word in compound sentences is inconvenient,

The S 65 has rear-wheel drive. It's slower with 0-100 kph (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds.
It's the most powerful version with 621 hp and 1,000 Nm (738 lb ft).
This car is a bit of a loser with 604 hp and 900 Nm (664 lb ft).
It has this over nearly the entire rev range.
It's such an insanely fast car.
It shrinks around you, as does the dike. Everything gets shorter.

It has an adaptive suspension, which I have in Comfort mode. It's a bumpy road.
It can be in Sport, Sport+, harder, harder, and harder.
It has an air scarf, which blows warm air on your neck.
That's convenient in a convertible, but it's available in the coupe too.
Massage seats, seat ventilation, seat heating...
This really is the summum of stuff you can get in a car.
I had to drive the car and tell you something about it.
It has adaptive cruise control that works great. It watches with you.
It has a quick response and it has night vision. The system sees people in the dark before you do.
It gives you a warning and lights the pedestrian with the adaptive LED headlights.
It shines a light beam that way.
These things are brilliant and show the progress car manufacturers have made with the mobility product.
This is a mobility solution to travel from A to B.
I'm switching off start-stop.
There are so many things to make it safer, easier, and more comfortable on board.
Other things make it a lot of fun.
Such as all-wheel drive.
And 604 hp. After the speed bump. I'm racing a motorcycle. That's fun.

The question remains, who will buy this car?
An S 54 starts at 143,000 euros, an S 65 is over 300,000 euros.
Without options. This car has only 30,000 euros worth of options.
That's not much for a car in this class.

The S 63 is 219,000 euros. Plus 30,000 euros. 250,000 euros buys you a fun car.
This is a strange car, so there are very few rivals.
The Bentley Continental GT is a big 4-seat coupe with a lot of performance and it's expensive.
There's Rolls-Royce, but their cars have a very different character.
They're more comfortable and less sporty. This car can do both.
It's quiet on board in Comfort mode
with the assistent systems and things that make life more comfortable.
However, hooning it in Sport mode on a dike or the Autobahn, it has a very different character.
The Porsche Panamera coupe, but that one doesn't exist.
You can buy a sports car, at Mercedes too. The AMG GT also starts at these prices.
911, Aston Martin... A lot is for sale for this price.
Still, it's all different.
This brings us back to the question: who buys this car?
I think people with fear of flying and no kids.
