Back to bed, please, my darling. Back to bed.

She's doing it again.

Back to bed, please, everyone.

Jesse, back to bed, please.

Come on now. Spit-spot, back to bed.

Carrie Anne, come on now. Back to bed.

Never seen it like this.

Nor I.

Don't let any of the children come this way.

Jean.

Jean!

Jean!

I saw the end of the world.

I could feel...

all this death.

It was just a dream.

No, it felt real.

I know.

Your mind is the most powerful I've ever seen.

It can convince itself...

No, no...

It's not just the mind-reading or the telekinesis...

it's something else.

Some dark power inside and it's growing.

Like a fire.

I thought I was getting better.

You are.

You will.

You just have to be patient.

No, no. You don't know what it's like to be afraid to shut your eyes.

To be trapped inside your own head.

Oh, I think I do.

It wasn't so long ago that I was plagued by voices, myself.

All their suffering.

All their pain.

Their secrets.

I'm afraid one day I'm going to hurt someone.

Lie back.

Everyone fears that which they do not understand.

You will learn to control your powers.

And when you do...

you'll have nothing to fear.

2PVA - CONVERSATIONS WITH - Rudolf Muller, co-founder of the Rota Vicentina - Duration: 7:38.

No, but it's pretty

Because this coast ...

There was nothing !

There was tourism and we were promoting the beach ...

The beach in July and August is good

But the rest of the year, we can not swim.

You arrived here 35 years ago?

in Portugal

Originally, I was born in a farm

in Switzerland

I was completely fed up with school.

Fed up, fed up, fed up!

So I realized that I was going to do agricultural apprenticeship

and there, the boss said of me to my mother:

"He's good and everything but ...

he does not argue like a peasant, he discusses rather like a leftist! "

And anyway, at home, the farm was for my brother.

So, if you are peasant but without farm ... it's not funny

then my peasant career

stopped there!

So I worked a little

If I worked 2 months on buildings

I could do two months of vacation in Europe easily.

Well, I did not spend a lot

And I was traveling ...

Tourism was in the Algarve and here it was the hippies

There were a lot of hippies in Santa Clara

but they chased them out of the Algarve and they came here ...

And so, I fell in love with the mother of my daughters and with the country too.

and I decided to learn Portuguese.

and people said, but you're going back to Switzerland! What are you going to do in Portugal?

I do not know, I'll learn Portuguese, and after we'll see.

But no you have come home, you will return!

The Swiss are too rich ...

It's a very interesting country, politically,

but, they are too rich ...

Then, I met a Swiss travel agency specializing in group treks

So they did not hire people who spoke Portuguese, because nobody spoke Portuguese!

Then there was the idea of setting up an association.

There was a meeting, I went there, I was happy.

I said, that's a good idea, that's what we should do.

It would take an association, we would have to do things together.

But at the beginning it was not the moment for us, this association.

I knew it was absolutely necessary.

But, I did not have the idea. How are we going to do this ?

When there was one who talked about Via Algarviana, which is the main road that goes from the Spanish border

To Cape Sao Vicente

By the interior of the Algarve

We said right away: But, that's it!

It was me, it was Jurgen, who was in the direction too and 3 other people.

Yes, that's what we have to do ...

Well, listen, next week we'll have a meeting at my house

We made the cards, we exchanged our ideas ...

Quickly we came to the conclusion that we were going to do two: the fishermen's way ...

And a big road inside ...

And we said to Marta, this is what we want to do, that's what we have to do

We had a group of 5/6 very motivated men

And we had others who looked like that ...

And Marta said Ok.

And she is in charge of the projects

And all the stuff we do not know about ...

And it started. We started it in four years, from the idea to the inauguration.

I think it's super long.

So there were problems. The fishermen's way was the most sensitive.

But afterwards, people, like the mayor of Sao Teotonio, told me "there are a lot of people"

We started the project in 2008 and the inauguration took place in 2012.

In May 2008, we found the Rota Vicentina on Google

We created a name

Who is now well known and recognized in the world of hiking.

Ah yes ?.

Yes of course

At first, people come to say to you 'Ah, but I read, it was you!'

Now, it's completely ....

The origins have already been lost

Rota Vicentina and the Fishermen's Trail

Especially today, you will see the fishermen's way

who goes from here to Porto Covo, it is really the way of the fishermen.

Here, fishermen go along the coast.

It's the authentic name, perfect!

There are journalists who ask me: "Can you arrange a meeting with a fisherman?"

I do not organize anything. You will see the fishermen.

I never organize a meeting with a fisherman. They are there.

The historical path is the villages, a little inside. It is the link between the villages

but for the rest, I did circular hikes

And circulars, they can be shorter, people understand right away

That they can go back to the beginning.

Something has struck me since we arrived in Portugal

to see that there are a lot of strangers.

Many Europeans, but a lot of foreigners

and to see how welcome they are,

like us, we were very well received everywhere we went ...

Yes, but I told everyone that you were very important people.

And ... we will go for a walk!

Yes .... ah, yes, we have to work today

Kajabi Tutorial: How to build a page with the new dashboard - Duration: 22:30.

- We are going to walk through

how to create a page on Kajabi.

Now, if you have been around for a while,

you will be used to the word landing page.

But I am so excited that Kajabi now calls them pages.

And they're found underneath the page builder

because we can make anything out of these pages.

They can be true landing pages

where we're collecting name and email information,

they can be thank you pages

after someone has completed a free or paid purchase,

they can be informational pages,

contact me pages, about me pages.

I recently have switched my static pages to landing pages.

So even my privacy policy now,

is pretty and fun to look at.

So let me show you how you can create a page

on the new Kajabi dashboard.

Now first off, if you don't know where things are,

you can type into the Kajabi Assistant,

the word landing.

Again, very familiar to all of us.

It will say create a landing page.

When you do that, and again,

this is if you're like I don't know where to find this.

This, you will see,

that it has highlighted the page builder.

So if I type in the word landing,

and I say to create a new landing page,

it's going to take me to the themes

that are available as part of pages.

These are just page themes now.

We don't have to call them landing pages.

The other way that you can get there

is by clicking on Page Builder.

So if I click on Page Builder,

this will show me all of the pages that I have

and then all I have to do

is click New Page in the upper right hand corner.

If I do that,

I'm going to end up in exactly the same spot.

So either door that you wanna go through,

both are going to get you into this spot.

Now when you're on this page,

what I want you to keep in mind

is that you can't switch a landing page theme,

like you can a product theme and a website theme.

So for just a moment,

let's imagine you're getting dressed

at the beginning of your day.

And you decide to put on

your hot pink sweatshirt in my case,

and that would be a product theme, or a website theme.

Now, if I decide at noon,

I want to change out of my hot pink hoodie,

into my gray hoodie,

that is easy to do with a product or website theme.

I can't do that with a page theme.

So take your time, look through the different options.

And then choose accordingly.

There are ways to you know,

build a new page,

and copy code over to a new page,

but you can't just change out from one hoodie to another

like you can on a product theme or a website theme.

So for land,

sorry, not landing pages,

for page themes,

you can click on any of them.

When you click on them,

it will show you what this is.

If you want to use it,

you click on get started.

If you don't, you click on keep browsing.

So I am going to

for purposes of this video,

we're going to use the standard Premier theme.

So when I click on Standard Premier,

you're gonna click on Get Started.

When you do that, you're gonna title your page.

Now, this

next little bit

that I'm going to explain to you,

is basically just to help in sorting.

So for myself, because a page can be a website page,

it can be a true landing page,

or a sales page, or a thank you page,

I actually use an abbreviator at the beginning of my pages

so that it is very easy to sort them

inside my master page dashboard.

So for instance,

if I was going to build a page

that I wanted to use on my website,

you'll see I would use www.

Because that means to me, it's a website page.

If instead, I was making a sales page,

I would do sp,

and then I'd do

two forward slashes and then the name of

name

of

sale.

'Cause it could be a product, or it could be a service.

I use a t and a u for a thank you page.

I use a lp for a landing page.

So that, again, you do not need to do that.

That is something that I discovered

as the superuser of Kajabi that I am.

I have lots of different pages for lots of different stuff.

And this just makes it very easy.

If I can't totally remember the name of the page,

then I go yup, I know it's one of my website pages.

So I can just type in www,

and all of my website pages will pop right up.

So we're gonna just do,

I'm gonna do a sales page.

We're gonna just name it that.

Doesn't matter.

You can change this later, okay.

So you're not locked in.

When you hit Create,

the page

is Kajabi's going to put it together.

Based on whatever theme that you picked.

Now, as they're putting it together,

and it looks like it is done,

there we go.

So, once Kajabi puts it together,

then you're gonna go through and customize it.

So, when you are customizing this,

I really recommend

you have a standard operating procedure

for how you move through the page.

Because there's lots of pieces

and you wanna make sure that you address all of them.

So underneath settings,

I always start with settings.

Here, you will see that you have your presets.

This is where you can choose.

Do you want a blank canvas,

do you want a download page,

a homepage, a launch page,

long form sales page, opt in, or video call to action.

If I change this,

so let's change it to homepage.

Let's click Apply.

It's going to let you know,

hey, we're gonna change up some of the blocks,

are you sure you want this?

We'll click Apply.

And when we do that,

they're going to change the sections

that are available on this.

Now, when you're working on customizing,

you can delete and add all the time.

This just kinda saves you some time

in terms of saying,

hey, this is the common stuff

that we notice people use quite frequently,

so we're gonna give you this as your starting point.

But no, you can always

on the

Premier,

I call it the Premier chassis.

It just means these building blocks.

It's the basic structure of Premier,

that is add this block in,

take that block out, okay.

And all of the landing pages

that are not under the historical area,

which is at the way bottom of the page,

all of those are built on the Premier chassis.

So you don't have to worry.

But you click on the three dots,

and you will see your choices are

rename, duplicate, hide, or delete.

So again, you always move things around.

But underneath settings and presets,

that's where you find your starting block.

So if you know where you wanna start,

you just choose one of those.

Then you're gonna move into your Favicon.

You wanna get get rid of the blue Kajabi K,

and put in your Favicon.

You will also take care of things like your typography,

the colors, the fonts, the font weight,

really for font weight,

this took me a while to figure out,

normal is non-bold.

So whatever that font looks like,

if you change that in the header font,

then it will change that.

So, that was, for some reason

that was really confusing to me for a while.

But that's where you make those changes.

You have your color scheme,

where you set the colors.

Again, you can override and customize every single time.

These are just your foundational choices.

You may always, which is the beautiful part of Kajabi,

it's so easy, and it's so consistent.

You can change that whenever you want to.

So we'll click back.

Then the message colors,

you set those.

The general appearance,

you can set here.

All of that is the basics for the page.

Make sure you do the settings part first.

Then,

again, before we customize,

jump right to the pretty stuff,

we wanna take care of the behind the scenes stuff.

Because that's the stuff we tend to forget about.

Until we post our page,

and we're like, oh my gosh, where was that?

I totally forgot to change it.

Can you see?

I've done this before.

Here is where you can change the title of your page.

You may change the URL,

you can make the page in published mode,

or draft mode.

This part for your SEO and sharing,

this is what you wanna make sure that you have looking

the way that you want it.

Because when you post this link,

for instance if you were to post it inside Facebook,

this is the picture that will pull across,

and this is the description that will pull across.

So make sure that you update your SEO,

the page description.

If you wanna hide the page from search engines,

now is where you decide that.

And then you update the image.

So all of that is on the details portion.

So once you have that done,

then again, we can click right here

underneath the title of the page.

It says customize.

Now we can go and start working on the actual page.

When it's on the Premier chassis,

you're going to have your dashboard

on the left hand side.

These are where the blocks are.

So for each of these blocks, each one,

picture it like a Lego piece.

They're independent.

You can move them wherever you want,

you can take them away.

They operate independently,

and all you're doing is stacking them up

into a nice little line of,

like a Lego tower.

So, if you wanna move them around,

that you do by putting your mouse over

the two horizontal lines.

You'll get the little hand.

And then I can drag this

just like that.

So you see,

the hero section was on top,

now the features section is on top.

Here, I can rename this.

Because when you start to build pages,

you wanna make sure it's easy,

and you're not like what,

what was that section,

as I start dragging things around.

So let's say we decided to use features

as our testimonials.

It's one of my favorite things to use

the features block for.

Because how nice.

You have pictures,

you have their name,

and then you can put their testimonial right below it.

So, let's say that I use that features block

for my testimonial.

Now I know when I drag it,

that it's not just features.

I know where the testimonials are.

So, that is how you use the side bar.

Here, you can click to add a section.

When you add a section,

you have a choice of all of the different Legos

that are currently available in Kajabi.

So everything that is currently available as a Lego block

is right here on the left hand side.

You can scroll through it,

use any of these that you want to.

All you do is click on the portion that you wanna use,

and then click add.

It will automatically default to the bottom of the page.

Once you have customized it,

or if you want to click Save,

go back

and let's drag it to where we want it.

So we added it down here at the bottom,

we're gonna add it,

we're gonna move it up here

between testimonials and text and image.

Now, I can click on it, and edit this.

So this is

how you work on the pages.

Now I'm gonna scroll,

move myself out of the way,

just a little bit,

there we go.

When you're working on your pages,

the bottom,

right here, it says footer, exit pop-it,

exit pop-up, and two step opt-in.

What you do is click on your footer,

it will have show footer, show copyright,

that is how you can adjust any of your footer information.

Now if you were using your page as a landing page,

meaning you are collecting

any kind of personal data from people,

name and email counts,

with the new GDPR,

that is a law that has come out of the European Union,

came out a couple of years ago,

it goes into effect and enforcement on May 25th, 2018.

So part of that is you must display your privacy policy

on the landing page

or any other page.

But that's what you're gonna call it

when you're collecting personal data.

So make sure, if you're doing a landing page,

that you have selected your footer,

that you have your GDPR compliant privacy policy

displayed on your page.

That is very, very important.

Then we're gonna click back.

The exit pop-up right here,

if we click on the Exit Popup,

when you want to edit this,

you click the button

and then you click enable the popup.

So this is the exit popup.

You can

change the timed reveal on it,

and again, this is just for this page.

Which is a really cool feature within Kajabi.

You can either have a

site wide exit popup,

which we will talk about on a different video,

'cause it uses different tools,

or you can have a popup specific to this page.

Which is great because if you,

no matter what kind of page you're doing,

if you wanna cater the experience,

and it's all about the user experience,

it's very easy to do so right from this page.

So you have the timed reveal,

you have the frequency,

you have the content right here,

you can also add a call to action.

So here, adding the call to action,

yes, I would love to receive,

or I would love to sign up for XYZ,

whatever you happen to be offering at the time.

So the exit popup on a landing page,

you can click Edit Popup,

so that it,

you can edit it.

When you're done, you have to turn it off.

Okay, so you don't wanna see it.

And if you want it turned on,

you keep the box checked.

And if you don't want it on,

because you're using a different popup,

or you don't wanna use a popup at all,

then you unclick the enable option.

So we will click Save on that.

And we will click back.

And the other portion is the two step opt-in.

Now, this comes into play based on the call to action.

So let me show you that.

And the call to action is universal.

Across all of the pages.

On a call to action,

and I just clicked this sample blue button right there.

Here is the text.

You can modify that.

But here,

is where you have your choices.

So on a page builder,

that's not within a pipeline.

If it's in a pipeline,

you will have a sixth choice,

which is go to the next step in a pipeline.

But if it's a standalone page

that you are building,

and it's not in a pipeline,

these are your choices.

So go to a landing page, go to a sales page,

go to a checkout page, download a file,

go to a URL, or open the two step opt-in popup.

So we're gonna click it as open the two step opt-in popup.

I like to have it open in a new window.

Because then people don't get lost as to where they were.

Complete personal preference,

that's my own best practice that I use

when I'm doing my own pages.

So we're gonna click back.

Now we're back on that main building page.

Here, we're gonna click Two Step Optin.

You have to click to show the popup again.

So that you may edit it.

This, when you're done customizing it,

you're gonna uncheck the box

and then it will be turned on.

So here, you are going to

select the form that you want to use.

So I can select any of my forms right here.

Then I have the choice of the thank you page.

Where do I want to send people after they opt-in.

That is part of when you're mapping out

your customer's experience,

your customer's journey with you.

Map that out.

After they enter, you know,

opt-in information, what do you want them to see next.

That's just part,

and then you would just select it

based on what you had mapped out.

I, you can see,

I always am mapping stuff out.

On paper,

drawing maps of where I want people to go.

And then it's so easy in Kajabi

because I can just select the box

that I want things to go to.

So here,

I can click on the image.

Or I can just keep working my way down

the left hand side bar.

So if I click here,

and I say, you know what,

I wanted them to be like,

hey I'm 99% done.

You can do that.

You can change the colors,

all of that information.

Now, you will see that I have a checkbox on this form.

That says, yes,

I want to receive email conversations from you.

This is in anticipation of the GDPR

going into effect on May 25th, 2018.

One of the reasons that the GDPR is going to effect

is to, as they have stated,

harmonize the collection of personal data

and getting consistent policies.

Making sure people know what they're signing up for.

So one way to make sure that you get consent,

is to have a checkbox,

cannot be pre-checked,

that says yes,

I want to receive email conversations from you.

Now, what you have to also do

is make sure that you reflect

what exactly an email conversation means.

Within your business,

and that that is in you privacy policy.

So, that

that is where I know the learning curve

on all of these pieces gets

like oh my goodness, oh my goodness,

where does it go?

Because it does touch different things.

But that again,

is now an important piece.

If you are using,

well, anytime you're doing opt-ins now,

we have to be very explicit.

There's no more blanket statements.

So, which is a really, really good thing, in my opinion.

So now you see this is,

like I still see my screen.

I have to go into the two step opt-in,

and I need to unclick the pop-up.

When I can see my page again,

then the

the two step opt-in popup is turned on,

but it's not showing on the page.

So, that is how you can create a page

from Kajabi's new dashboard.

They've streamlined the look.

It is so nice.

Being in there, moving around,

I think it's very clear,

it's very helpful.

And the Kajabi Assistant is always available,

so you can always just type whatever you need

by clicking the blue K,

that's always home base, is click your blue K.

And then your Kajabi Assistant is right here at the top.

And you can type in anything right there.

If you have any questions,

please leave them for me below.

I love answering them.

I really enjoy helping people

find their way through Kajabi

and setting up whatever it is you're working on.

So have a wonderful day,

I wish you the best of luck,

and can't wait to see what you are gonna create.

Bye for now.

What Really Happened To Denise Austin - Duration: 4:01.

It's hard to talk about fitness without mentioning Denise Austin.

In addition to her decades of VHS and DVD workouts, Austin also served two terms on

what is now known as the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, and helped

launch the food pyramid guidance system in America.

While her name may not be heard as much these days, that doesn't mean this fitness expert

isn't working.

In fact, Austin continues to expand her brand year after year.

So what has she been up to in recent years?

Let's take a closer look at Austin and her success over time.

Still moving

At 61 years old, Austin looks and feels as great as ever, and wants to share all of her

tips and tricks.

Just as modern-day media shifted from VHS workout tapes to the web, so has Austin.

She has different package options on her website to help her audience look and feel great themselves.

For Austin, it's not just the physical workouts that are important for staying in shape and

living a healthy life; it also comes down to the attitude.

"I give you motivation videos.

I tell you, 'Come on it's Monday, let's get fit together.'"

Good advice

One of Austin's biggest passion projects focuses on childhood obesity.

She's traveled to 32 states in order to help kids stay active, and regularly shares tips

for parents on how to make sure their kids are getting enough exercise.

Austin's advice ranges from checking your children's P.E. class schedule and attendance

to having them participate in after-school events, like dance programs or joining community

sports.

Solid eating

She might not be in the spotlight as much as before, but Austin's still very careful

with her dieting decisions.

She told AARP:

"I try not to have junk food in my kitchen at all, or I will see it and eat it.

My favorite is ice cream, so when I really want it, we walk to the ice cream shop and

get either a scoop of coffee ice cream, gelato or frozen yogurt.

That way it's perfectly portioned."

Even so, she still allows herself to eat "cheat meals" about 20 percent of the time to keep

a healthy balance.

Like mother, like daughter

"The apple doesn't fall from the tree" is definitely a true statement when it comes

to Austin's daughter, Katie.

She has pursued the same field of fitness as her mom, creating her own workout guides

called Get Fit With Katie.

"She's always been my inspiration for everything and to learn from someone so close to you

like your mom, who's such a fitness legend, it's truly amazing."

She also shares workouts and tips on her Instagram account, and the mother-daughter duo have

now teamed up for workouts together as well.

Earning love

Since marrying her husband Jeff Austin in 1983, she has kept her marriage going strong.

And after three decades of marriage, the couple shared the secret of their success with the

New York Times, with Denise saying:

"Pick the right guy!

It's also important to be positive and optimistic, not to be grouchy or naggy."

Jeff jumped in as well, saying:

"And don't take anyone for granted or get complacent.

You need to earn your love."

With over three decades of marriage and two daughters, this couple certainly seems to

have earned that love.

Moving on

After Austin's daughters moved to Los Angeles, she and her husband made the decision to downsize

from their big house in Virginia to a condo in Manhattan beach so that they could spend

some time on the west coast.

To do so, the pair opened their home as a giant estate sale in 2014, with everything

but personal mementos up for grabs.

From workout equipment to clothing, the proceeds from the sale were earmarked for the medical

expenses of Austin's ailing niece.

As Austin shared with the Washington Post prior to the sale:

"This has been a great place to raise kids, but it's too much house to deal with."

The sale proved to be successful, and some shoppers even reported feeling inspired and

energized by the chance to own something that'd belonged to the fitness legend.

Age is just a number

In 2016, Austin was announced as the new AARP Wellness Ambassador.

With her continued success in the field, even as she reaches senior territory, it was no

surprise that Austin took on this role.

And Austin was ready for the challenge of modernizing the way fitness is targeted to

her generation.

"I'm so excited I am the new ambassador for AARP and I'm happy to tell everybody that you can

be fit at any age."

With an attitude like that, it's no wonder she's been someone worth looking up to for

generations of people.

How Many Sick Days T. Lue Got? 🚑🚑🚑 - Duration: 4:19.

Oh shit! Things done just got real you guys.

This dude Tyronn Lue really is out here tweaking!

The third year Cleveland Cavaliers coach came out the other day to announce that he will

be stepping away from day to day team operations to focus on his health.

And as expected the homie LeBron James was too busy too even give a fuck.

This nigga LeBron is a fucking trip.

In his press conference during practice shoot around the man had the audacity to say that

losing a coach like Tyronn Lue was like losing a starter and that the nigga was basically

the Captain of the ship.

Will one of you tell LeBron to cut it out.

You already know Cap'n Crunch got more clout in the Cavaliers locker room than Tyron Lue

does.

This situation was long over due and now that the homies health issues have been brought

to light it's time that people like your boy Faxx Masheen!! continue with the conspiracies

that LeBron James is trying to get rid of homie.

I mean let's be serious everybody and their momma knows that LeBron James is the coach

of this team.

Yes Tyronn Lue has the official title but to me him being called a coach is as accurate

as calling Bill Nye a scientist at this point.

And when for the third time this season Tyronn Lue couldn't finish coaching through an

entire game this nigga LeBron wasted no time grabbing the clip board showing that he could

call the plays no beef!

It's truly a wrap.

Tyronn Lue has been reported as having trouble sleeping.

To the point that money has been coughing up blood!

Got damn, this nigga got PTSD or some shit?

But salute to Tyron though my man think he slick.

He saw Kevin Love call out a few times this season and said "fuck that shit, i'm trying

to dip out too!"

But regardless this mess is on LeBron's Hands.

This situation is as toxic as it is because LBJ got all the juice.

Tyronn knows not to push the lines too far.

But got damn the stress of this job really got money out here looking real shaky.

When LeBron made the move to South Beach he had to paint on the villain role himself.

But now-a-days he really doesn't have any choice.

The fact that the pieces of this organization is falling apart underneath his watch puts

the blame on him.

I mean damn Fuck what you heard if D. Wade even had to leave then you know playing for

LeBron got to be the worst job in the league right now.

So like my homie Harvey Dent said, "You can either die young a hero, or live long

enough to become the villain."

But what you think.

Is Tyronn Lue's health situation crazy to you?

Do they even need Tyronn Lue to be coaching from the sidelines?

Can the Cavs rally as the playoffs are right around the corner?

All I'm saying though is that the last time a coach on a championship contender missed

mad time on the sidelines his squad ended up winning it all.

But I guess the Cavs don't have a minimum of 3 all stars.

But you already know, I Don't Have An Opinion, I Just Spit Faxx.

How to Paint a Bird in Watercolor - Narrated - Hoopoe - Duration: 4:07.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will paint a watercolor

of a bird.

We begin by sketching the rough shape, the outline of the head,

and the body.

It has a crown of feathers because it is a hoopoe bird.

It has a long beak...

First we can mark where it will end, and then we draw it.

Like this…

The feet down here, and let´s have him stand on a tree trunk.

These birds are very unique because of their crown of feathers,

and because of their nice singing.

Let´s refine the shape of the wings to get them a little bit better

and now with the kneaded eraser

I lighten up the graphite

before we apply the watercolor.

Now, we get the whole paper wet, with fresh water, and we spread it

to every part of it…

so that we can add the color.

First some blue, and then, orange.

As you see I apply by dabbing on the paper with the brush.

Over here, we will have the trunk

where the bird is standing.

Of course everything that I am doing right now

is going to be pretty smooth because with the paper wet

the paint runs a lot and then it will lighten up a bit.

Let´s add some more of blue, with a smaller brush, and I lift

some of the color from the bird

using a tissue paper.

Now we can apply some dripping of different colors.

Such as yellow and red to the background, to give more life to the painting.

We wait for the paper to dry, and then splatter some more paint

this time blue.

Since this time the paper is dry the paint will not run

Then we add some orange.

The colors that I am applying to the background are pretty much

the same ones that I will use for the bird.

We wait for all the paint to dry

and then we start painting it, with a fine brush.

I begin from the crown of feathers.

Like so.

I LOVE painting in watercolor!

It gives you so much freedom to create effects.

I painted the wing and now the beak, and the eye.

For these darker colors I used a mix of blue and black.

And I add some more drops by hand. That is because when you

apply the dripping, sometimes they don´t fall where you want them to.

[Laughter] But it doesn´t matter because you can complete it,

manually.

Let´s add some more color here to define it better, because

I think it was a little bit too lost.

It is ok that some areas of the bird get lost, but some others

should be define.

There is a red drop on the head that I don´t like, so I get the area

wet and then lightly rub with the brush.

And clean it with a tissue to erase it.

We soften some other spots, give it the last touches,

and it´s ready!

If you enjoyed it please give it a LIKE! share it to your friends

and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips.

And I will see you on Tuesday ;)
