Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) Movie CLIP 4 HD (Blu-ray) | CoolestClips - Duration: 4:56.- Ask about the missing piece. - Oh, right. Hi. I'm Bethany.
I mean... Professor Shelly, something.
I'm a map doctor...
...and I have this map that, like, has a missing piece.
Dr. Bravestone. Thank goodness you're here. Jumanji needs you.
Rude.
We need to find the missing piece.
What you need is in the basket
One false move, you're in a casket
Trust one another, and never blink
The missing piece is not what you think
Oy vey.
Good luck, mighty hero.
- Jumanji needs you. - Jumanji needs him. We know.
You said it several times.
So thinking there's a...
A snake in there or something?
Yep.
- Sounds like a Bravestone thing to me. - Why would this be a Bravestone thing?
You're the mighty hero. You heard what he said.
"Jumanji needs you. " Now, get.
- I don't wanna do this! - Just go.
Black mamba!
That's a black mamba.
A quarter milligram of its venom is enough to kill an adult.
You'll feel a tingling sensation in your mouth...
...and extremities, followed by a fever, foaming at the mouth...
...and ataxia, which means loss of muscle control.
- How do I know that? - What do we do?
- See anything else in there? - I didn't have time.
- Oh, my God. - Okay.
"Trust one another and never blink. " Never blink.
You guys, I think it's a staring contest.
- What? - What are you talking about?
- Think about it. "Never blink"? - I think she's right.
At camp, they used to tell us if you see a rattlesnake, don't move.
I think someone has to make direct eye contact...
- ... and not blink. - And then Spencer will reach in...
- ... and grab whatever else is in there. - Why me again?
- Because you're Bravestone. - Okay, fine.
Who's good at staring and not blinking?
I'm amazing at it.
Then this is your moment.
Come on, Bethany.
Okay.
Just say when.
Now.
What do we do?
- You gotta defang it. - I gotta what?!
You gotta pull his mouth back from the blind spot to disorient it.
But be very careful of the venom gland...
...and the exposed secondary venom duct.
And then you gotta snap its teeth...
...out of its head.
I guess it wasn't a staring contest.
"Trust each other and never blink. "
You trusted me.
You trusted me, and I defanged the snake.
- I did it. I did that. - Yeah.
- Yeah, you did it. - Thank you.
Oh, yeah. Sure.
You guys?
This does not look like a piece of a map.
The missing piece is an elephant?
Oh, wait, there's something written on the wrapping paper.
"When you see me, begin the climb. "
"Begin the climb"? When you see an elephant?
I defanged a snake.

Aragon - The fight for freedom - Duration: 5:51.So you ask me if there's gonna be a revolution?
I think there's already a revolution happening
We're seeing it everywhere
Honestly, I feel like blockchain is almost slipping through the cracks
They don't even see that we're a threat yet
If you have a decentralized entity that people can opt-in to
That starts performing services
that the government used to provide
Then what do you need these guys for
Bitcoin is the first real experiment
in DAOs
It's the first DAO that ever existed
What's a DAO?
I mean, Decentralized Autonomous Organization is what it stands for
Basically a decentralized autonomous organization is an organization
in which you can interact with it without having to go through an intermediary
I think that it's very important
for us to have tools that are really censorship-resistant
We have evolved so much as a society
but yet our governance structures
are hundreds of years old
We had a long period of monarchies
And that was a very centralized form of governance
And we had a great evolution with democracies
spreading that power a bit more
Now
I would argue that corporations are superseding nation-states
in terms of their power
You're a digital serf, right now, living on Facebook
You work the land
You work the feed
And they take all the benefit, they take all of the value
It's a free service, where you are the product
Systems tend to perpetuate themselves
In other words, capitalism tends to do what's best for the market
Maybe not what is best for all the individuals who comprise the market
Silicon Valley, they tend to fund projects
or companies, that are trying to solve very much first world problems
How do you get your food 5 minutes quicker
How do you get your Uber 2 minutes faster
Whereas with blockchain technology, we have the ability to fund
initiatives that will produce true social good
and provide value to the most undervalued parts of humanity
This is the most egalitarian way
to construct systems
The culture is moving faster than the nation-state can handle
We can have that same personal feeling
that I have with my neighbour, with the people in a chat room
Traditional government institutions
take tremendously long time to fail
and when they do fail, there's usually violence
so we try not to let them fail
But today, we are in the first time in history
that we can actually try out new governance models
without the need of people getting killed
because we can try those governance models from the comfort of our sofa
In the mathematical realm
you can not threaten an algorithm with a gun
Because it's unstoppable, it's open source code
The cat's out of the bag right away when someone has the idea
Anything closed source is like saying "I'm a scientist and I've proved something
but I'm not gonna show you how I've proved it"
It's just free, you download it from the Internet
it's open source, you wanna enhance it, you do
and if you don't like it, you can just fork it
And if we have means by which groups can connect to each other
to form larger governance structures, that govern the entire whole
Then we have something that kind of is resembling a fractal structure
If you think about kind of other examples of super-organisms
you have like beehives and ant colonies
or even just the human body itself
it's a bunch of cells and micro-organisms
that are all working together in a single
like human body is their environment
But now what we have is proliferating with crypto networks
is actually these supranational protocols in which human activity can be governed
on this international basis, without nation-states, without corporations
So what it allows, is for people to come together from wherever
And they can interact together, they can make decisions
they can share in the common enterprise, and then they can all benefit together
Governance ends up being a really key part of making that work
And if view blockchains from a evolutionary standpoint
This may be the most critical feature one could imagine
Any organization of any kind
From your Mom-and-pop shop, to your decentralized autonomous organization
can create an entity on Aragons Network
and use it for all kinds of things
like their cap table, like payroll, to show you where their finances are going
for voting, for upgrades
to the way in which that organization works
Aragon is a tool that I think will spawn many different early attempts
at decentralized governance structures, which if implemented well, will be powerful
It's actually two components
So the first one is
The Aragon platform
to build and govern organizations
societies and protocols
And the other part is the first digital jurisdiction that has ever existed
The Aragon Network
That doesn't happen very often in the real world
It's rare that you get to set up a new central bank or a new government
So I think we're gonna be in sort of this Cambrian explosion
of experimentation on both of those fronts
But with any huge transition that happens in human history
they are very insistent in making us believe that we need them
So the incumbents are trying to use their
marketing power
their communication power
their surveillance power
to convince people that they still need them
But the market and the people will eventually figure out
that they don't
And that will be the end of establishment

The Rise of Deadly Superbugs: What You Need to Know - Duration: 6:35.Welcome to Dr. David Eifrig's Health & Wealth Bulletin.
This is Weekly Update.
This week, we're coming to you with the scariest topic we've ever discussed: Superbugs.
These are bacteria that are resistant to several types of antibiotics.
That makes them very difficult to treat, and in many cases, can make them deadly.
We want to start by telling you about a woman in Nevada who, at the end of 2016, died from
a bacteria called Klebsiella pneumoniae.
The reason this is so scary is because this strain of bacteria was actually resistant
to all 26 known antibiotics.
That's something we haven't seen before, but unfortunately we are probably going to
see again.
That's why today, we want to talk about how superbugs are made and what we can do
to help protect ourselves at the individual level.
So the superbug you're most likely familiar with is C. diff.
That's because it's usually found in hospitals and even in some retirement homes.
It's responsible for about half a million infections each year and 29,000 deaths.
In addition to that, superbugs also account for about 2 million other infections and 23,000
deaths in the U.S.
Although, keep in mind, these numbers are from 2011, and they have increased over time.
In fact, a report from Britain showed that the world wide death rate from superbugs is
about 700,000 every year.
Now, the reason that we're talking about this today is because the worldwide use of
antibiotics is skyrocketing.
We just saw a report that it's up 65% and that's a huge increase, especially in countries
like India and China.
But even here in the U.S. even though we know the problems with overusing antibiotics, we
still have not reduced how many we use.
Now the creation of superbugs is deceptively.
The problem is that every time you expose the bacteria to a certain chemical, like an
antibiotic, a few of those bacteria will survive.
That's because of random mutations and things like that.
However, if you keep exposing them to the same chemical, more and more of them are more
likely to survive.
It's part of their evolutionary benefit to keep staying alive every time you try to
kill them.
That's why, if you're exposed to an antibiotic a lot, for instance if you take it often enough
throughout your life and you take a lot of different classes of antibiotics, you're
more likely to have problems with these types of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Now one of the biggest problems here is overprescription.
In fact, in 2015 there was an article out of the Journal of the American Medical Association
that found about 55 to 80% of all patients with acute bronchitis were prescribed antibiotics.
Now, that sounds like a high number and it should because almost all cases of acute bronchitis
are caused by viruses.
The problem here is that viruses cannot be killed by antibiotics.
Antibiotics only fight bacteria.
So you're literally taking antibiotics when you don't need them.
The problem is, if you do have any bacteria in your body, they're going to start getting
antibacterial resistance.
So now we want to talk about five tips that you can take to help keep you safe from antibiotic
resistant bacteria.
Now the first three involve your doctor.
The first one is to find out if you have a bacterial or a viral infection.
So the next time you go to your doctor and you're sick, ask the specifically to test
to see if you have a bacterial infection.
If you do, that's when you should be taking antibiotics.
That's because, should you have a viral infection, like the flu virus, it's not
going to respond to antibiotics and you're only setting yourself up for antibiotic resistant
bacteria.
The second tip is to try a delayed prescription.
Now a lot of times, our bodies will recover naturally if we have a bacterial infection.
That's why we recommend waiting and seeing if you really get worse.
If you do go to the doctor and you're not quite sure if it'll go away on its own,
ask them for a delayed prescription.
What this means is that they'll write you a prescription for an antibiotic, but it'll
be dated a few days after your appointment.
And that way, if you do still need it, you can go ahead and get it filled.
The third tactic is if you should get a prescription for antibiotics, make sure you take the entire
course of medication.
You want to make sure that you wipe out all the bacteria.
If you have an eight day prescription, for instance, and you only take four days of it,
there's still a chance some of the bacteria are hanging around and they're now building
that resistance to the drug.
Our fourth tip involves the hospital setting.
If you're at a hospital, you want to see if they have a stewardship program in place.
What this does is it keeps tabs on any prescription for antibiotics written by a doctor.
It's usually monitored by a third party, like an infectious disease doctor or even
a pharmacist who can evaluate the situation and make sure there's no overprescription
going on.
And our fifth tip is one that we've talked about a lot before.
It's the simple act of washing your hands with plain soap and water.
That's all you really need to kill all of the bad bacteria that you might have on you,
without the added problem of triclosan, which is the agent in antibacterial soaps.
We've warned you about triclosan before because of the problems it causes with our
hormones.
It's a hormone interruptor.
We also don't like triclosan because it's a direct contributor to the growth of superbugs.
We hope these five tips will help keep you safe from antibiotic resistant bacteria.
But I know what you might be thinking – is there really any hope for protecting ourselves
if there are already bugs out there that are resistant to all known antibiotics.
Well, there is some new hope on the horizon.
In 2017, there was a big breakthrough in the antibiotic drug market, with a drug called
teixobactin.
The reason we're excited about this is because it's the first class of antibiotic discovered
in about 25 to 30 years.
That's really great news and we're really excited to see how it will perform in the
coming months.
We're going to keep you updated on this story and in the meantime, please keep following
our five tips and keep you and your loved ones safe.
That's it for today.
Don't forget to keep your comments and questions coming to our feedback line.
Like, share, and subscribe.
And we'll see you next week.
