In today's video, you will see once again in my opinion 10 uncommon tricks on Mirage.

This map just keeps giving.

Hey guys, NadeKing here.

In this video, I show you some more tricks on De_Mirage. If you are first time here,

although you should not, as this is the best Mirage channel out here.. then I have plenty

of Mirage tricks videos out there, make sure to check them out afterwards.

This time let's make a really supergeneral giveaway for you.

I won't tell which skin I am giving away, but if you want to have a chance to win something

random to your inventory then like the video and make sure you are joined with the Steam

Group as I will pick random winner from the Steam Group in couple of days.

And no more intro talk, let's go.

Let's start off with a cool boost next to CT spawn.

Credits to ISAWU for sending me this idea.

There is a little edge here, where you can boost on.

You need one teammate to get here and once you are up here you will have a great offangle

towards A main, also you can jumpspot connector.

Even if they smoke CT off, you will maintain your vision.

With a runboost from ticket you could even make a two man tower here.

With this insane tower you will 100% surprise your enemy.

Make sure to not overuse this spot in a one match and feel free to try it out yourself

if you want to spice up your CS:GO experience.

Alright, B short.

Again credits to ISAWU for this awesome pixeledge spot.

If you have some crazy ideas yourself feel free to send me an e-mail nadekingofficial@gmail.com.

So, with one friendly teammate you could climb up here and stay on this edge.

It's pretty hard to get here, but once I got there I didn't need to hold any keys.

I have never seen anyone in this position.

And probably it doesn't have any practical use since your legs should be visible from B apps.

Otherwise it would be pretty good spot to try to ninja defuse.

This is why I love CS:GO, even on maps like Mirage, which are really old, people can still

find new things and even whole new spots.

I didn't need to hold any keys once I was up there, but if I crouched I instantly fell off.

Go test it out yourself.

Next up again little idea I came up with.

So T's often smoke top connector like this.

If one of your mates crouches here and you get on this position you can actually see

over this smoke and probably could get one or two free kills, if they are trying to take a connector control.

Also, the same idea could give you a nice offangle towards A main, if you peek out like this.

Just make sure palace is under your control since this whole tower idea here is very prone

to any Palace aggression.

CT Spawn.

Come to this corner.

Aim like shown and jumpthrow.

This smoke is thrown in a 128 tick server and lands perfectly to A main.

This is a good one, because it lands faster, so T's have to push through the smoke.

If you are throwing the A main smoke somewhere from here..

T's with a perfect spawn could already rush out to tetris before the smoke actually blooms.

This CT spawn to A main smoke may also be really useful for retake scenarios.

There are actually couple of ways to smoke A main off from CT spawn, but this is definitely

one easy lineup to do it.

CT Spawn once again.

Imagine you are saving your weapon in CT spawn, bomb is planted to B, probably default position

and you have a smoke with you, come to the same corner again, aim like this and jumpthrow.

This smoke is again thrown in a 128 tick server and it lands nicely into B default bomb spot

position.

This smoke alone could cause some mess on T side and they may lose their

weapons when they are going to check the bombsite if you are maybe trying to ninja defuse.

Just time it right and you could get some weapons off from terrorists, because they

are going to check the smoke and then the bomb explodes.

B apps kitchen.

Credits to Pontus for this idea.

You can actually wallbang to underpass from here.

If you shoot through this wooden panel.

You can even do some slight damage with a AK or M4, but the AWP works the best ofcourse.

Underpass to B apps Kitchen.

Credits to Pontus once again, he is probably the master of this part of the Mirage.

So, you can throw an invisible molly to the kitchen, which also deals the damage.

Come to this position and aim like shown.

Left click throw.

As you can see molotov is invisible, but still makes damage.

Supergeneral.

Market.

In an afterplant scenario there is often some random smokes thrown in the market area or

you can throw one yourself.

If the smoke lands about in the middle of the market.

This may provide you a nice one-way-smoke.

Just climb here and enjoy your view towards CT side market.

Depends on the actual spot where does the smoke land, but if the smoke is down in the

middle of the market, you can see them and they really can't see you.

Easy as that.

Top middle.

I actually thought this wasn't so uncommon, but since I have seen a lot of people who

knew nothing about this, then I have to add this one.

These top middle boxes have actually big gaps in them.

And you can use them as a CT to get info if someone is hiding there, or as a T to shoot

CTs through this gap.

So, make sure you are aware of this.

And the last trick of this video.

How to get faster to the window room.

Make sure vent is broken, now run like this and jump right before this wall about here.

Then right before you are landing into vent crouch, so you won't hit your head and then

jump right after, so you are kinda jumping through the vent.

And here you have it.

Real jumpers do it way better then me, but to start off with, get this first jump timing

right and you will be able to go to the window room a bit faster then before, anyways I hope

you learned something new, I hope you do not watch these Russian and Polish YouTubers who

make blatant copies of my Mirage ideas videos, please hit that like button and thanks for watching!

Now it's the right time to rewatch other interesting videos.

R.O x KONOBA // 10 MONTHS - 10 COUNTRIES - 10 SONGS - Duration: 2:13.

Ten months, ten countries, ten songs. Together, we will travel across a new

country every month for ten months. We will perform live shows wherever we go,

meet as many new people as possible, learn about the country's culture and

history, get inspired by the cities and their architecture and by the

countryside and its beautiful landscapes. We want to push ourselves to the limits

and dive into as many new experiences and adventures as we can.

But most importantly, we are going to be constantly writing, composing, and

producing music on the road. We are going to collaborate with local artists

we meet, musicians, singers, rappers, filmmakers, photographers, street artists

or dancers. We are also going to capture all the interesting sounds we come

across. The sound of historical monuments, of old traditional instruments, of people

talking, of animals and nature, and then use these sounds in our music. For each

country, a different filmmaker will join us on the road for a few days to capture

top-quality images and make a beautiful music video for the track. At the end of

each month, we will release a brand new song online.

If you want to keep up with our adventures, we will be posting photos and

stories on Instagram every day, posting vlog videos regularly on YouTube, and

also doing a Facebook live session once a week. That way, you can ask us pretty

much any question you'd like. Here's a quick look at a trip we've planned.. and the

last country we haven't decided on just yet. By the end of the ten months we will

have ten different tracks, one for each of the ten countries, that we will then

put together into one album.

How to Draw a Female Face - Art Tutorial【My Sketching Technique】 - Duration: 10:22.

hello everyone welcome back to my channel I'm brushes and bunnies and in

this video I'm going to show you how I draw the female face there have been a

lot of requests in my previous videos asking me to show you guys how I draw a

face in my own style so in this video I'll be showing you the front facing

view the 3/4 view and the profile view which I'm actually not that great at but

I figured I would show you the technique that I use please note that this is for

female faces only I will be doing a separate video for male faces as well

I'm going to try to explain this as best as I could it's always a bit hard for me

to explain my actions into words but I did draw some really handy guides they

are rough guides but they are mostly the the guides that I use when drawing faces

you can find this on my patreon and it is available for my patrons I will try

to explain it as best as I could starting with the front facing view of

the face when drawing a face no matter what sort of angle I'll be drawing I

will always start with a circle shape and this is just the general base of the

head for myself and then I will then expand with a reference line that

typically cuts down the center of this circle and this will determine the angle

of the face and where I will draw the facial features for the front view this

is typically right down the center I will then start with the nose and the

nose will appear directly on the line at the very bottom line of the circle

sometimes it will appear above sometimes it will appear directly on the line it

really depends what sort of features I am going for but typically I will draw

it above the circle in terms of placing the eyes in the correct location I

usually use the ends of the nostrils so where the nostrils end this is my

indication if I were to draw a line straight up to the eye location this is

where I would start drawing so I would place the corners for the eyes to align

directly with the ends of the nostrils or the tips of the nostrils in terms of

the shape of the eye this will be of course according to what you want to

achieve but I tried to base it on the width of the nose itself

I will tend to draw a little bit but that's just my stylistic preference

but this is sort of a easy way of kind of proportioning your eye to your nose

shape as for drawing the lips and mouth I typically use the eyes or the pupils

of the eyes as an indicator of where the corners of the lips will end so

basically if you take the pupils if you draw the pupils of your eye and you draw

a straight line downwards down the face you will basically align the corners of

your lips with that line that lines up with the pupils of the eye so that's how

I determine the width of the mouth as for the location or placement of the

lips in general or if the mouth in general I basically take half of the

length of the nose to determine how much space will appear between the nose and

the upper lip and from then on I basically will draw or place the mouth

using that space sighs I hope that this makes sense it's a little bit hard to

describe as for the eyebrows they are generally much longer than your eye

shape again this depends on the character you're drawing I typically

like to start drawing them before the eye and extend them out outside or

further than the eye is drawn and so I like to have longer eyebrows and in

general for the ear I have to be honest I don't really know how to draw them

quite properly yet so a lot of you guys have been letting me know that I'm not

putting them in the proper location from what I understand you have to start

drawing them to align with your eye and also kind of basically draw them so that

it aligns with the nose so the entire space between the eye and the nose is

where the ears should be please correct me if I'm wrong or if I got this wrong

down below in the video comment but I I've been trying my best to learn this

for the hairline I typically like to take the space between the eyebrows and

the top of the circle and cut it more or less in half and this is where I will

start the hairline and the top of the circle is where I will basically have

the top of the head or draw the hair and from then on I will just draw the

hairstyle again this does the pen of the character

or the sort of angle of the face but generally speaking this is what I will

tend to do in regards to the three-quarter view I really love drawing

this view it's one of my favorites and it's actually the easiest one for me I

think there's a lot of expression that you can capture with the general angle

of the kind of three-quarter view and the trick to drawing the three-quarter

view is actually using the reference lines the line that I draw down the

middle of the face and also across to indicate where the eyes will appear this

is where you can really play around with the angles the general kind of angle or

shape of your head and it actually provides you with a kind of the key

location of how to start drawing your facial expressions on where exactly on

the face you should draw this sort of angled kind of profile or angled kind of

facial expression in terms of the rules of drawing in the 3/4 view it's pretty

much the same as the front view that I talked about already

Laure unless you want to utilize the circle as an indicator of where to draw

the nose and from then on you want to draw the eyes according to the width of

the nose of course you need to adjust according to the actual angle so for

example the the eye that is kind of hidden behind the nose needs to be drawn

a little bit more maybe a bit smaller or on a different type of angle and this

honestly comes with practice there's nothing really that I could show you how

to do perhaps in a more detailed video but more or less the rules still apply

in terms of how to basically draw where to draw the mouth where to add the eyes

where to like the length the mouth for example everything I've talked about

already is applicable for the 3/4 view

the profile view is perhaps one of the only views that I don't practice nearly

enough as I should and I probably need to practice a lot more and so you're

gonna see it right now got him drawing something but I had to kind of refix it

halfway through because the the base of the skull was just not large enough for

her head or for her facial features but generally speaking the rules do apply

the same you start off with a with a circle and instead of using the

reference lines like the profile 3/4 view by drawing in the center or cross

in this case you want to use it as to basically just draw up a draw right away

um so I I start with a kind of a curved line from the top or the front of the

face and then I would immediately draw the jaw and it would end about halfway

through the the back of the circle so yeah this is more or less how I would

start drawing the profile and yeah from then on I would start drawing the facial

features like with the same sort of rules that I've already applied with the

3/4 in the profile and the the front-facing view where the nose aligns

with the end or the bottom line of the circle and then the mouth as well is

essentially like the corners of the lips aligned with the pupil of the eye more

or less the same rules that I've already talked about I do find this the

trickiest one so I do apologize if I don't explain this properly or if I'm

lacking some of the basic fundamentals of drawing this face or the the profile

view um there are like I need to say that there are a lot of wonderful

resources out there that you can look at on Pinterest and also just drawing books

in general as you find just drawing it for yourself first really does help and

then you can like look at more help guides in terms of learning more of the

fundamentals of drawing the faces in general

I hope that this video is helpful for you to give you sort of like insights to

the way that I draw characters and draw faces in general again this is only for

females I will be working on a male version very soon if you guys have any

other sort of requests on what you want me to show you please let me know in the

comments down below I love reading your ideas and what you

would like for me to do and yeah I'll see if I can if I can do it just keep in

mind I can't draw everything yet so I've been practicing very very hard to get

this sort of portrait work right but yeah I hope that this video did help you

also to learn some of the basic fundamentals I'm sorry and I do

apologize if I missed out on specifics I'm really not good at explaining like

on a technical perspective of like exactly you know yeah like from this like

point on like you just split it to 3/4 or like you know just getting it to the

really nitty-gritty details I find this kind of complicated for even for myself

to learn from so I try to break it down even further than that by just going to

you know simple using simple geometric shapes and also using simple reference

lines so in that case my drawings may not be as accurate as they should but then

again I'm not going for a realism look and this is more of like showing you

guys this is the style that I I do or the style that I'm actively pursuing so

I do hope that this video did help you thanks once again for watching this

video please give it a big thumbs up if you did don't forget to subscribe to my

art channel for more art videos live streams and product reviews and yeah I

wish you guys all a lovely day and keep trying keep being awesome and we will

see each other very soon

5 Unsolved Mysteries Of England - Duration: 20:09.

1.

Patrick Warren and David Spencer On the evening of December 26 1986, just one

day after the Christmas celebrations, Patrick Warren and David Spencer, were out on a late

night stroll in Chelmsley Wood, On the outskirts of Birmingham.

Warren and Spencer, who were best friends, left on brand new bicycles which had been

Christmas presents.

The boys had been spotted by a police officer earlier that afternoon playing with another

group of children in Meriden Park where they had been warned by the officer not to play

on the frozen pond.

After returning home, they told their parents of their plans to visit one of Patrick's brothers

that evening.

Derek Warren, another brother, went looking for them the next day when he found out that

they had not arrived.

The last known sighting of the boys was just after midnight by a petrol attendant who gave

them a packet of biscuits.

Patrick Warren's brand new red Apollo bicycle was found abandoned behind the petrol station

near the bins.

The petrol station attendant said they saw the boys walking toward the local shopping

centre.

That woudl be the last time they were seen alive.

Soon after the children were reported missing, Officers still speculated to reporters that

the boys were playing some big "game" or that they were simply staying with friends.

They were not taking the missing children seriously.

Police offered 500 euros to anyone with information believing that whomever the boys were staying

with would quickly give them up, but no one called in any viable leads.

In an effort to raise awareness, the supermarket "Iceland" Utilized the techniques of an

American ad campaign which placed the pictures of missing kids on the back of milk cartons.

This would make the faces of David and Patrick present in 770 stores across England however

no tips were ever proven to be credible.

One major possibility is that Brian Field, who was living mere miles from where the boys

went missing and would most likely he would have utilized the same petrol station at which

the boys were last seen.

Field was later convicted rape and murder of Surrey schoolboy Roy Tutill, which happened

in 1968 but with no bodies and no direct evidence leading to him, Fields has never confessed

or ever been a prime suspect, largely because he was never initially investigated.

All the sex offenders in the area were questioned and ruled out.

To date the boys have never been found.

Families houses have been searched and investigated.

The property of Brian Fields has been investigated.

Rewards have been offered.

Ponds have been drained.

There are no leads.

The police consider this a "no body murder".

2.

Suzy Lamplugh Suzy Lamplugh was a 25 year old aspiring Real

Estate agent, living in London.

Described as a lover of life who had a propensity of living every day to the fullest, Suzy was

just starting what seemed to be a promising future.

After making an appointment with a potential client on July 28th 1986, a Mr. Kipper, to

show a property on Shorrolds Road in Fulham, she was never seen again.

Suzy's Ford Fiesta was found parked by another property up for sale on Stevenage Road, which

was one and a half miles from the appointment address Shorrolds Road.

Police compared the DNA of over Over 800 unidentified bodies but none were a match to Suzy.

In 2000, convicted murder John Cannan is questioned but never charged with Suzy's murder.

Cannon was charged in 1988 for the slaying of Shorlyy Banks.

By this time Suzy had been declared legally dead even though no body had been found.

While Cannan is locked up and being questioned it is revealed that he goes by a certain nickname

in prison, Kipper.

This is the same name Suzy was given to book the fateful appointment that would lead to

her untimely fate.

Kipper is another word for "herring" possibly a mocking message that the false name was

a "red herring" for investigators.

After five female prostitutes were killed in Soffolk, police interrogated the Suffolk

Strangler Steve Wright in May of 2007 as he actually had worked with Suzy in the early

'80s.

But he too denied involvement.

To date no viable leads have turned up and police have said publicly that they still

Believe Cannan to be the killer, as it was around the same time as his crime spree and

Suzy, like Cannan's targets, were professional women.

3.JOSEPHINE BACKSHALL

A religious and naïve housewife in need of a job, JOSEPHINE BACKSHALL posted an advertisement

in the local newspaper that used the phrasing "anything considered".

Being a wife, and mother of three this 39 years old house-wife believed she was being

recruited to model cosmetics.

The man who reached out to her was referred to as "Peter" by the woman.

This man would go on to speak with Josephine on the phone and subsequently photograph her

on the front lawn of her house.

JOSEPHINE told her husband that this man was "of a good sort" and she seemed to trust

him though she had to actual reason to.

Josephine had made an appointment with this man to meet and discuss her potential job.

They went to a pub called "Fountain Public House" in Good Easter at the late hour of

10:30pm.

Three days later on November 1st she would be found with her hands tied and her neck

strangled.

Surprisingly there was no sign of sexual assault, though some things can leave no trace.

She was found, fully clothed, in a pond in on Bury Green Lane, in North Bishop's Stortford.

The only person to recall the two was the owner of the public house who recalled the

unusualness of the shifty companion of Josephine who was so tall that his head brushed against

the hanging Beer growlers.

Upon autopsy it would be revealed that her last meal was Chinese food, through from where

it it unknown.

Her car, a Ford Cortina Mk 3, was seen at 9:15 on the side of Collingwood Road, Witham

with the hood up.

Her watch stopped at 8:15 PM although on what date is unknown.

Though an arrest was made in 2014, he was released on bail and has never been re-questioned.

Police reached out to the public for help but so far have received no credible leads.

4.

Jill Dando During the second half of the 1990s, English

television presenter and journalist Jill Dando was one of the BBC's best-known personalities.

She was the host of numerous TV shows, including Crimewatch, a documentary series that presents

dramatic reconstructions of unsolved murders.

Ironically, Dando became the victim of an unsolved murder herself, with her murder showcased

on Crimewatch in two different episodes.

On the morning of 26th April 1999, Jill Dando left her fiancé's home.

Travelling by car, she went shopping and then to her own house in Fulham.

As she approached the front door, she was shot dead.

Her body was discovered around 14 minutes later by a neighbour.

Jill was rushed to Charing Cross hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.

Forensic investigations found she'd been shot by a 9mm caliber automatic pistol, with

the gun pressed against her head at the moment she was shot.

Pressing the gun against her head would have silenced the fatal shot and prevented her

killer from being splattered with blood.

Police struggled to find any evidence leading to her killer.

Though they believed her murder was the work of a deranged fan .

Eventually, their attention focused on Barry George, a local man who was obsessed with

celebrities, guns, and women.

George was a lonely stalker with a collection of 4,000 photographs he had taken of women

he saw on the streets.

He claimed that he was the cousin of Freddie Mercury and allegedly held a grudge against

the BBC because he believed they covered his "cousin" too negatively.

Despite his insistence that he was innocent, George was initially convicted of Dando's

murder in 2001 based on flimsy evidence about a speck of gunpowder residue found in his

pocket.

On August 1, 2008, after a second appeal, George was exonerated and released from prison.

The residue in his pocket, the court reasoned, might have come from somewhere else.

Furthermore, the murder weapon had never been recovered, and George had been ruled intellectually

incapable of being able to carry out the crime.

To date, the crime still hasn't been solved.

It led to widespread speculation.

One theory was she was targeted as part of a revenge crime for a story she investigated

on Crimewatch.

Others believed she'd been the victim of a professional assassin, hired by someone

who wanted her dead.

Another suggested she'd been killed by the Serbian Mafia.

This was the time of the Kosovo War, and Dando had presented a charity appeal on behalf of

Kosovar refugees.

She later received a letter from a "Serb source" condemning this.

Also, the NATO bombing of the Serbian TV headquarters had taken place three days prior to her death.

It was theorised that she was killed by Serbian extremists in retaliation for the charity

appeal, or even for the bombing.

The case remains open and unsolved.

5.Gareth Williams A Welsh mathematician who dropped out of his

graduate studies in order to join England's secret Intelligence Service agency, code-breaker

Gareth Williams was known for being intensely dedicated to his job on the clock and uncommonly

private while off the clock.

Wiliams' work primarily concerned researching and tracking cash flow from Russia to Europe.

After not being in attendance at work for seven days, concerned colleagues contacted

police out of concern for Williams, age 31, as he was a man of habit and never absent,

especially without warning.

By the time police performed a welfare check on August 23rd 2010 at Williams flat in Pimlico,

London, which was an SIS safe house, he had been dead for seven days.

Williams was found stripped of clothes in a red "North Face" duffel bag, which was

padlocked from the outside.

The key to the lock was placed inside the bag under his body.

The heater had been turned up and the rate of decomposition rapidly increased due to

the warm air, greatly reducing the ability to test for toxins or swab for DNA.

It was determined by the coroner that Williams had died of lack of oxygen or an abundance

of carbon dioxide, a result of breathing out in the bag but not having fresh air to breath

back in.

The coroner would speculate that the lack of bruising and the manner of death indicated

that he may have been alive when put into the bag.

There was no DNA on the handles of the duffel bag or on the edges of the tub; no fingerprints

or even smudges.

This further indicated a clean up after the fact.

Williams was Last seen alive on August 15th, but not reported missing until August 23rd.

There was a five hour window of unaccounted for time between when Willams sister notified

GCHQ of Williams not answering any calls and when police were actually called, which some

believe to be indicative of a cover up.

Dr Fiona Wilcox, the medical examiner on the case ruled the death as " unnatural and

likely to have been criminally mediated."

She chastised Scotland Yard for failing to classify Williams death as a murder, instead

only classifying it as "suspicious and unexplained ". Her ruling says that she hired two forensic

investigators to replicate the scene and in 400 attempts they could not get into the bag

and then still be able to lock it from the outside.

From the beginning the inter-agency scrambling lead to missing items and scene contamination.

Prior to the police investigators cataloguing the scene, all the houses locks and door handles

were removed.

Unfortunately their strongest lead was DNA present on Williams' hand.

For many months the dna was investigated as the lab coded it as being unidentifiable,

but it would be later found that this supposed "key" piece of evidence was simply contamination

from the CSI team that first responded to the body.

As that was the only DNA sample found besides a Williams, the realization would be a blow

to the investigation as no other leads existed.

To outside observers it would seem obvious that Willams death was obviously not an accident

at all, but some background evidence focused on by Russian apologists attempts to throwinto

slight question the highly private spy's sexual proclivities.

Williams old landlady testified that her husband and she were awoken by Williams screams one

night and after rushing to his bedroom the landlady found

Williams tied to the bed and unable to escape.

He apologized profusely and said that he had tied himself up just to see if he could escape

and that he would never try something like that again.

Whether this act of tying oneself up was sexual in nature or the research of a spy about to

be "operationally deployed" is unknown.

The self asphyxiation angle is furthered by rumors of Williams visiting websites that

featured bondage and some Critics of Willams say that that predilection

could've led to an interest in erotic confinement, which could've led to Williams attempting

to tie himself up on the bed, as the landlady found , which could've led to him trying

to confine himself into a bag.

However this angle is vehemently ruled out by the medical examiner who insists that this

is not a case of auto erotic asphyxiation.

Was he participating in some bondage type play and went too far?

Dr. Wilcox, the coroner, does not believer so.

She stresses that he was a "scrupulous risk assessor" citing that had he intended this

as an auto-erotic act he would have had a knife for escape as he was not suicidal.

There were multiple cars registered to the Russian embassy parked in his neighborhood

just days prior to his death, and as Williams work was primarily centered around Russian

criminal activity, he was understandably a target.

Additionally, the method of killing is consistent with Russian intelligence modus operandi:

poisoning with an unknown biochemical agent.

As a mathematics genius and more specifically as an adept code breaker, Williams was primarily

involved with the tracking of the money laundering of the European mobs as it pertained to Russia's

secret transactions.

Boris Karpichkov, an ex-KGB agent that served for more than ten years and ranked as KGB

major and who is now in the UKs version of witness protection and has a new identity,

tells the real story behind Williams death.

While it most certainly wasn't caused by Williams sexual proclivities, it did involve

the KGB blackmailing him with scandalous photo, in order for him to become a double agent.

Allegedly, Williams was befriended by a fellow GCHQ colleage nicknamed "Orion", who was

actually a double agent for the Russians.

Orion introduced Williams to a third party name "Lukas" with whom Williams supposedly

had a friendly connection.

This Lukas wined and dined Williams, but later Spiked his drink and took him to a separate

location where he was filmed next to a man and a women who were supposedly in a scandalous

position, the specifics which are unknown.

Once Williams had come round, The compromising footage was then used as blackmail for Williams

to also become a double agent but this attempt was unsuccessful and the two parted ways,

but before leaving Williams made it clear that any more attempts to blackmail him would

result in Orion being reported to MI6 as a Russian double agent.

On August 16th Lukas came back to the flat and somehow drugged Williams in order to kill

him.

This would prevent any further threats to the valuable Russian mole in GCHQ, who to

this day is only known as Orion.

Outrageous and fear inducing assassinations, used to deter other detractors of the Russian

cause, are common way to die for anyone associated with the Russian KGB.

Alexander Litvinenko a Russian agent who received political asylum in the UK, was killed in

London just four years earlier using a rare radioactive isotope.

Inspector Sutton postulates that "If the motive for Gareth's death was around his

job, then poison becomes much more likely."

The former KGB agent Karpichkov speculates that having Williams body displayed in such

a scandalous way was meant to send a message to future people refusing to become double

agents.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, and most likely bowing to pressure to close

the sensitive case, London police determined in November of 2012 that Williams, alone,

probably got into the bag himself and couldn't get out again.

GR Anime Review: Made in Abyss - Duration: 10:16.

Welcome to the Abyss.

Located on an island in the middle of nowhere lies a hole, a pit impossibly large and tremendously

deep.

The Abyss is home to entire ecosystems of monsters, aberrations, and unknown magicks.

Like a long outdated D&D supplement, the Abyss contains many artifacts and remnants

of a lost civilization that operate without explanation, some even bending the laws of

physics, reality, and life itself, which makes them valuable.

An entire colony of Humans live on the Abyss's edge, housing hunters called Cave Raiders

who spend their days diving into the Abyss, to find its artifacts and unlock its many

secrets.

But its denizens of various monsters aren't the greatest threat to the Abyss however.

For the Abyss itself comes with an inexplicable curse, one that allows anyone to enter, but

none to leave without consequence.

Ladies, gentlemen and others, my name is Arkada and I bid you welcome to Glass Reflection

where today we are taking a look at the anime adaptation of the manga by Akihito Tsukushi:

Made in Abyss.

Let's Jam.

Made in Abyss is a 2017 anime produced by Kinema Citrus and directed by Masayuki Kojima.

It stars a young girl named Riko, daughter of a famous White Whistle raider named Lyza.

Riko lives on the surface rim of the Abyss, in training to eventually become a raider

herself.

She is headstrong and stubborn, determined to not only be a Cave Raider, but to be the

best one there is.

On one particular school excursion to the upper levels of the Abyss, she gets attacked by the

local wildlife, and is eventually saved by a strange young robot in the shape of a boy.

This robot, Reg, arrives shortly before a message for Riko appears from her mother,

whose last known location was deep in the Abyss.

The message reads, "Meet me at the bottom of the Abyss".

So despite the objections of her betters, she and Reg begin the dark decent into the

Abyss, to battle the horrors beneath its depths in order to find Riko's mother.

On the surface, Made in Abyss comes off as a narratively standard but beautifully produced

adventure title.

You have a new unexplored world and some young adventurers naive enough to think that they

can brave the hardships that could potentially befall them.

Oh, my sweet summer children.

But like some other well-produced shows with narratively standard plots for their genres

that I could mention, Made in Abyss hides a much deeper story, a story possibly just as deep

as the Abyss itself, one that gets darker with every foot that our two young protagonists

descend.

Because you see, with all the ancient technology hidden within it, the Abyss also harbors a

well-known curse.

While it is true that one can dive into it as far as you want, whenever you attempt to

ascend you suffer the consequences.

These consequences include sometimes nausea, maybe dizziness.

But beyond that?

Internal bleeding, hemorrhaging, and beyond that straight up death.

Very few individuals have ever returned from the Abyss's depths for this very reason,

and Riko's mother is apparently at the deepest depths of it.

So if you start watching this series and think to yourself, aww look how upbeat and happy

everyone is!

And these character designs are so cute!

Nothing's going to go wrong, right?

I liken the story of Made in Abyss a lot to the famous Ghibli film Grave of the Fireflies.

It's an amazingly told story about the adventures of these two children, but they face many

horrors that you would not inflict on anyone, and for some it might be difficult to watch.

It's not particularly graphic. At least for the majority of it's run.

I can name quite a few anime even from recent years that offer far more in the gore department.

No, Abyss likes to torture you with the emotional attachments you have to the characters so

that you start to almost feel the same pain that they do, making those darker scenes all

the more poignant.

You start to really get attached to both Riko and Reg.

Riko is your brazen, happy-go-lucky adventurer far too good for the world she lives in.

Reg is a mysterious robot who doesn't remember where he came from, one who miraculously suffers

no effects of the Abyss's curse.

At least so far.

Even the show's supporting cast are extremely well-realized, the highlights of which being

the experienced but mentally quirky White Whistle Ouzen, and the even more mysterious

rabbit-eared being called Nanachi.

Even though we only get a handful of episodes with these characters as Riko and Reg meet

them, their impact is long lasting.

An impressive feat for a series only 13 episodes in length.

But that attachment to the characters is the most impressive and important aspect of

the show.

Because the emotional turmoil that the series subjects its audience to is not just the amount of gore that it has

or an increased amount of violence, but rather this large, ever-looming sense of dread.

There is very little surprise in this series.

It's not one that relies on surprises or jump scares like horror.

But it's the knowledge that the horrible things can and will happen, only you just

don't know when or what effect they will have.

What I think really elevates this dread though is the whiplash given to you by the designs

of the characters themselves.

The cute faces and wholesome designs really make you fall in love with the characters.

They induce a quicker attachment than more realistic designs would, and this combined

with the amount of extraneous detail in the backgrounds detailing the darkness of the

abyss itself, really helps to bring you into the moment, to be there with the characters,

but to also be powerless to affect the outcome.

Speaking of outcomes, the ending of this first season (assuming we will eventually get more)

is worth noting.

The series ends itself with a story unfinished, a story with more questions than answers and

a final episode that feels like you were driven over by a steamroller.

But despite the story being largely unfinished I cannot think of a better way to end this

part of the story.

It's gut-wrenching and depressing but that kind of sums up the narrative thus far in

a nutshell.

Plus the final moments leave us with a small glimmer of hope about the future of our new

favourite characters, one that we will no doubt see dashed quickly in the story to come.

Ahh, but the music, this is my personal aesthetic.

The music for Made in Abyss differs greatly in tone from many a soundtrack from other

anime of a similar genre.

The music for Made in Abyss was composed by the Australian born Kevin Penkin, who previous

to this also composed music for the kickstarter backed anime Under the Dog.

The music of Abyss feels reminiscent of a Role Playing Game, one that fits the show

very well considering the progression of the narrative and the adventure that the two protagonists

take.

It's been a long time since I've had an anime soundtrack that I've listened to constantly

outside of the context of the show though.

This music is just brilliant in its own right.

And hey, it's even out on Spotify, so listen to it and try to tell me I'm wrong.

Made in Abyss, is a brilliant anime, based on brilliant material.

The production team at Kinema Citrus have done a masterful job at bringing the horrors

of the Abyss and the naivety of the story's cast to life in a very limited amount of time.

The amount of detail that was placed in this series – from the art, to the animation,

to one of the best soundtracks I've listened to – is a wonder to behold.

This series is like if you put Madoka, Grave of the Fireflies, and Hunter x Hunter into

a blender.

All are shows that have specialized in stories about young protagonists placed into situations

and forced to make tough choices, some are just a bit more brutal than others.

But honestly, this is the kind of series that I hope to see every season.

This, to me, is the kind of show that makes me love anime so much.

To have a series that makes me feel this way, even as horrible as they can sometimes be

to watch at times, the impact that they leave is massive and I am glad every single time

that one of these shows comes along because I know it will not be the last.

Do I want another season?

Hell yes.

Are we going to have to wait a few years to get it?

Also unfortunately yes.

These things take time, but I can look at the massive bright side.

We need the delay to mentally prepare ourselves for the massive amount of depression that a

sequel will inevitably put us through.

And so it's with great pleasure that I present Made in Abyss with the ranking of Certified

Frosty, a rating for only the best of the best and those shows too important to ignore.

You can watch Made in Abyss online via Amazon's prime video service, hopefully purchase the

series from Sentai Filmworks when their home video release eventually comes out later this year.

And of course the manga is also available online digitally from our good friends over

at Bookwalker, and I'll have a discount code in the description for you if you've

never used their service before.

The manga is just as good if not better, I assure you.

For alternate Anime Recommendations I'd first like to point you towards an anime that

is not afraid to show much darker themes in its narrative and toss them onto young protagonists,

Shinsekai Yori.

A tale about children in a world far different from our own where the characters must sort

out the hidden truths kept secret from them.

Second recommendation goes to a much calmer series, Girls Last Tour, which is another

journey-like series but without the impending dread behind it.

With two girls making their way across a desolate wasteland, but not one so bleak that there

is not enjoyment to be had in their lives.

Between those two, you should find something to your liking.

As always, a very special thank you to my patrons who make these videos possible and

support my work.

You guys are fantastic and I can't thank you enough.

But specifically I'd like to thank Patrons: Bing Thio, Calhoonboy, Siri Yamiko, Viktor

Ekmark, and Joshua Garcia for being especially awesome.

And until next time ladies, gentlemen, and others: Stay Frosty.
