Today we're replacing some belts on the MX-5.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this car, I was quite busy with other stuff.

And to be honest there wasn't that much work on this car.

But now I'm almost at the 200K km mark.

So the belts have to be replaced, which is what I'm going to do now at Laurent's place.

In the meanwhile, hmm what has happened so far...

One time this wiper arm broke off, due to the fact it got old and worn.

Which is normal. I have a funny clip of it.

Right when Fré (my gyaaalll) tags me in a meme where my car breaks down, this happens

And also a small oil change, but nothing special. They're good, reliable cars.

Apart from the rusting problem. *i cri :'(*

So none of us have ever replaced a timing belt before.

So it could be it will take us 2 nights.

Who knows even 3 nights, depending on how hard it is.

So we arrived at Laurent's grandfather's garage.

The alternator belt needs to be tensioned a bit more, because she is one squeaky girl.

So I came to the conclusion that I have the wrong brakepads.

They are a bit too big.

I can't fit them inside the caliper.

N. Korea must choose path of denuclearization to engage in dialogue: S. Korea's Foreign Minister - Duration: 2:14.

Following the inter-Korean dialogue during the Winter Games,...

Seoul is looking to keep that momentum going.

The nation's Foreign Minister emphasized direct talks must take place between the North and

Washington.

For that to happen, Pyongyang must take substantial steps to denuclearize.

Park Hee-jun explains further.

South Korea says it will keep up its momentum of dialogue from the PyeongChang Olympics,...

to push North Korea onto the path of denuclearization.

Speaking at the 2018 World Journalists Conference on Monday,...

South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said that North Korea must take measures towards

denuclearization for dialogue to take place.

Although the recent inter-Korean talks were a positive outcome of a series of consistent

efforts,... Kang emphasized that the North needs to redirect its nuclear stance for a

peaceful resolution to the nuclear issue.

And a peaceful resolution also requires direct talks between the United States and North

Korea.

"But we are well aware that inter-Korean dialogue and improvements in South-North Korean relations

cannot proceed in the absence of progress in the efforts to peacefully resolve the North

Korean nuclear issue, which requires, in the first instance, direct talks between the United

States and North Korea."

Foreign Minister Kang also said that sanctions and pressure on the regime will continue unless

it takes substantial measures towards denuclearization.

Although the Moon Jae-in administration wishes to seek a peaceful resolution to the issue,...

it plans to work closely with the United States to pressure Pyongyang to change course.

"So far, North Korea has not indicated any desire to engage in denuclearization talks

with the United States.

But it knows very well that with the heavy sanctions placed upon it, its key interests

cannot be secured without coming to terms with the United States."

She added that South Korea will also maintain close cooperation with key partners in the

region for a smooth transition to dialogue,... and with the rest of the international community

to solve the nuclear crisis and establish a "lasting peace regime on the Korean Peninsula."

China keeps growth target at 6.5%... while 'Two Sessions' set to clear way for Xi era - Duration: 2:24.

China is holding its annual parliamentary gathering.

It began with the much-anticipated announcement of maintaining its economic growth target

the same as last year.

But according to our Kwon Jang-ho, all eyes are on scrapping the two-term presidential

limit.

Once ratified, that'll allow Xi Jinping to stay in power indefinitely.

The second of the 'two sessions', or 'Liang Hui' gathernig opened on Monday.

Premier Li Keqiang began by announcing the government's economic growth target for the

upcoming year.

Beijing has decided to maintain its growth target at around six-point-five percent for

a second year running.

That comes despite the country's economy exceeding expectations last year, hitting 6-point-NINE

percent growth.

The conservative target is seen as a signal that the government is trying to rein in the

nation's spending, reduce debt and improve overall financial stability.

"We must remain committed to the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability

and to the new development philosophy.

... We must guide and stabilize expectations, improve living standards, and promote sustained,

healthy economic and social development."

However, economic issues at this year's gathering have been overshadowed by political ones.

Last month, Beijing announced that it would be scrapping its two-term presidential limit,

clearing the way for Xi Jinping to stay in office beyond the end of his second term in

2023.

That decision is expected to be ratified during the course of the 'two sessions' over the

next 10 days or so.

The president's political philosophy, known simply as 'Xi Jinping Thought', is also expected

to be integrated into China's constitution.

These moves essentially elevate Xi to the same level as China's first communist leader,

Mao Zedong, and although it has caused alarm in some circles, the 'two sessions' is largely

seen as a rubber-stamping ceremony, with little objection raised by the 5-thousand-or-so delegates

attending.

"If a good leader comes into power, we should let him remain in that leadership position

forever.

In this way, there is continuity.

Now let me talk about my driving experience.

The moment you sit in the car u can feel that the interior built quality is good.once u

start driving there are three things that I instantly felt different.

The first was the gear.Though it was smooth it was like slots.you are moving from one

slot to another while changing gears.the second is the clutch it very sensitive.there is a

very specific point of engagement and if you don't have practise the engine might turn

off.

Happened with me once.the third is the steering this also felt very different.

Very sensitive & light.

It felt like there was a motor that was assisting me when I was using the steering.all this

made the driving a lot hard at first.

Moving on to the acceleration it is very linear..when u step on the gas u can feel that the car

understood and is trying hard to increase its acceleration.The brakes are also something

that felt like they were good but again didn't feel confidence inspiring at first.Well once

I drove for a bit i got used to the vehicle and I didn't notice much of the things that

I mentioned before.overall I felt it is good car for the city and occasionally u can try

to drive fast too if you want too but u will need to work with the gears.let me know your
