I TRIED GLASS SKIN MAKEUP - Duration: 8:46.

Hey guys, it's Sher.

I'm staying in a house right now where I have access to really good natural lighting so

I thought I would take advantage of it and try to do a makeup video.

In this video, I'm going to be trying out the 'Glass Skin' makeup technique, which basically

focuses on good skincare and very little makeup product and the makeup product that you do

use is supposed to be very natural looking to as an end result, give your skin a really

good healthy looking glow.

So the whole concept of 'Glass Skin' started as a Korean beauty trend that focuses on skin

care rather than actual makeup, but recently I've seen a lot of videos with other youtubers

doing their makeup and calling it 'Glass Skin' makeup tutorials so I thought I would try

to follow one that I saw the other day.

It is from a youtuber named Mariah Leonard and I really liked how her makeup in that

video came out.

It was just really natural and pretty looking and very glowy, so I thought I would try it

and film it for you guys so you could see my experience trying this makeup technique.

So if you want to watch me try this 'Glass Skin' makeup trend, then let's get into the

video.

I'm just basically following Mariah Leonard's guidelines on how she suggests doing this.

It is what got me interested in trying this out to see if I could make my skin look really

natural and like I'm not wearing a lot of makeup even though technically I am wearing

makeup, so I'm going to be following a lot of um, her techniques.

She suggests using a brush, she even says in the video that it was hard for her to make

the switch between using a beauty blender and a foundation brush and I'm just going

to go ahead and say that it's hard for me to want to make this switch too because I'm

so used to using a damp beauty blender that I don't really know how to use anything else,

but I did buy a couple foundation brushes for this to see if they work, they're just

Maybelline brushes with like, stiffer bristles and I'm curious to see if they're going to

leave my foundation looking streaky or if they're actually going to give me better,

more flawless coverage than a beauty blender.

I just, I have my doubts, so I just wanted to go ahead and throw that out there.

And in her video, I know she uses some type of strobe cream, but I was scared about how

that was going to mix in with my foundation, so I went ahead and skipped that and I'm just

going to go ahead and moisturize a little bit.

Not too much considering it will break my skin out.

I'm going to let that dry for a minute and then I'm going to go right into foundation.

This is the Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation and I just did a review on this testing it

on dry skin, if you want to watch that video, I will link it in the description below.

I'm just going to use very little product to see how much I can get it to cover on my

face and I'm going to work in sections so that the foundation doesn't have time to dry.

This Maybelline makeup brush, I can already tell, is doing a much better job than makeup

brushes I've used in the past to try to put foundation on because so far, and I'm in natural

lighting like I said because I wanted this to be um, a pretty good test, so far I can

tell that there is not a lot of streaky-ness going on on my face.

I know that I'm not using a lot of product so it's hard to tell, but so far that I can

see, it does not look that streaky at all.

I'm moving on to my forehead area and I'm very nervous about this area of my face because

it is, it consistently gives me problems.

I'm really curious to see how this is going to work on that area of my face.

I've really ta dken my time blending all of this out, making sure that everything is even

and like, not streaky so that it looks as natural as possible.

Is there a little bit more redness on my forehead and chin area that I would normally cover

up or at least try to cover up with extra layers of foundation?

Yes, but I think that if I do any more, it's going to lose that effect that the whole makeup

look is going for...which is no makeup.

So I'm going to stop there before I get carried away.

Moving on to concealer, which, surprisingly I really only use under-eye concealer, I don't

really ever conceal anywhere else on my face, even though I probably should considering

I do have issues with redness.

Going against what I usually do which is just smearing this all over my under-eyes to try

to cover up my circles, I'm going to use another brush to put a little bit of under-eye concealer

under my eyes.

Okay, so using that same brush I already used for my foundation, I'm just going to pick

a little bit of this contour shade up from the Maybelline Contour Stick and try to make

that look very natural.

In Mariah's video, she suggested to veer more towards using liquid products instead of powder

products because the more powder you have on your face, the more textured it's going

to look and the less natural and like your actual skin it's going to look.

For blush and highlight, I saw one brand that was suggested quite a bit was Physician's

Formula, which I'm not super familiar with but I thought I'd check them out for this

video specifically.

So I picked up their butter blush at Walmart, of course, and I also picked up their butter

highlight.

The blush is in the color Natural Glow and the highlight is in the color Pearl.

Honestly this smells like sunscreen and not in a bad way either.

I'm going to do some very natural brows and eyeshadow before I do the last step of putting

this highlighter on, so I'll be right back.

Now we're going to move onto the last, one of the last steps I think, of highlighting.

I'm just going to use this Elf highlighter brush that I recently bought that I actually

like how it applies highlighter with.

So since the um, structure of this makeup is pretty like, um, relaxed, I'm not going

to focus the highlight on the normal areas of my face that I would and make sure that

it stays strictly in one spot of my face because I am going for an overall glowy natural look,

so I'm going to be less precise than I normally would with the application of this highlighter.

I really like this highlighter I think, I don't know, it looks pretty natural to me.

I do have a little bit of, uh, I have a lot of dryness on my face obviously and I noticed

uh, you can still see with a lot of highlighter like this, you can still see obviously where

my skin is dry, but I mean, there's only so much you can do about that and I am trying

to up my moisturizing game lately.

One of the last steps is just putting a little bit of powder on, when I say a little bit,

I mean the most minimal amount of product you can possibly imagine.

Okay and I'm just going to throw on a little bit of mascara.

And then the last step of this makeup routine was just adding some glowy, dewy setting spray

so I'm just going to go ahead and use the Nyx Dewy Finish setting spray.

I don't think that she mentioned including anything for your lips in the video, but I'm

just going to go ahead and throw on a little bit of shimmery lip gloss from Buxom because

it's my favorite lip gloss in the whole world and it's pretty natural looking if you ask

me so I think it's okay to use for this.

So this is the final outcome of this 'Glass Skin' makeup routine.

I'm pretty happy overall with how this came out, um, I think..Wow, that highlight is really

intense right there, but I swear that its because I'm in really good natural lighting.

Yeah, this highlight is no joke, this Physician's Formula butter highlight is no joke.

I think this is super natural and if you're someone like me who already doesn't wear a

whole lot of makeup or just wants a lighter everyday makeup look, then this would definitely

be good for you to try and it's good to know that you do not have to pile like, layers

and layers and layers of thick makeup on just to get good coverage.

I don't have my glasses on so I can't see for sure but I think that my skin looks pretty

decent and it looks pretty natural so I would definitely recommend giving this a try.

Like I said, I did not come up with this, I basically just step-by-step followed the

instructions from a Mariah Leonard 'Glass Skin' tutorial, so if you guys want to check

out that original video where she goes through each step individually and explains everything

really in-depth about how to apply these different products and what products specifically to

use to get the glowy appearance to your skin, then go check out her video, and I will link

it in the description box below.

It's really cool to see people who don't have naturally perfect skin do their makeup and

just become comfortable showing a little bit of their "flaws" that they have on their face.

I will say that I was kind of nervous about doing this in the beginning of this video

because I thought that by the end of it, you were still going to be able to see a lot of

my red and irritated areas of my skin, but surprisingly you can't so don't be afraid

to do this if you don't think you have that great of skin because I definitely don't have

amazing skin and I did it and it looks decent on me, so give this a try if you want a new

natural makeup look to go to.

That is it for this video you guys, I hope you enjoyed my take on the 'Glass Skin' makeup

routine, even though I don't think it's really considered 'Glass Skin' still if it's makeup

instead of just skincare products.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my take on this.

Let me know if you end up trying this out and how wel it works for you depending on

your skin type.

Make sure you like this video before you leave and subscribe to my channel and I will see

you guys in my next video.

Bye!

Must be love on the brain. - Duration: 2:14.

I think about you all the time.

I think about what you're wearing

and what you're doing and who you're doing it with.

I think about what friends you have,

what you eat before you work, what shampoo you use,

what happened in your family.

I think about...

your eyes and your mouth

and what you feel when you kill someone.

I think about what you had for breakfast.

I just want to know everything.

It's okay.

I think about you too.

Come with me. Just you and me.

Just you and me.

I wont' look.

You have a very nice body.

Have you ever fancy me?

Bill: You and me?

She's here.

I don't even think about her.

Are you wearing it?

- You can't. - I can.

I really liked you. It hurts.

She has gone.

7 Simple Tips to Clear Out Bad Negative Energy - Duration: 7:21.

7 Simple Tips to Clear Out Bad / Negative Energy.

When I was moving into my new house a few years ago, I was working closely with a spiritual

teacher at the time.

We used to talk frequently about energy and how to keep it at a high frequency.

As an empath, I feel other peoples energy deeply.

So keeping my own energy vibrating highly is incredibly important to me.

High vibrations feel better to all of us, so its important to surround ourselves

with them in our home, our work spaces, and any other place we spend the majority of our

time.

My home is my sanctuary, not just because Im raising my two young children there,

but because its where I write, recharge my batteries, do my daily meditation, and

work with clients.

Bad energy can accumulate like dust bunnies in the corners of our homes and offices over

time.

Its especially important to clear out the energy after any of the following events:

>> A major argument >> A divorce or breakup

>> Negative people being in your space >> A particularly stressful week or event

>> Being sick >> When moving into a new space that somebody

else occupied

These are some of my regular practices for clearing out any stuck, negative, or stagnant

energy and bringing in fresh, high-vibrating juju:

1.

Burn sage or palo santo: One of the most common and best ways to clear stagnant or negative

energy out of any space whether it be your office, home, car, or even on yourself

is to burn white sage or palo santo wood sticks.

Palo santo, which means holy wood, grows on the coasts of South America and has hints

of pine, mint, and lemon.

This makes it smell much more fragrant than white sage, which has a more pungent, intense

scent.

Its been used by shamans and medicine people for centuries for spiritual purifying, energy

cleansing, and healing.

If the energy in your space feels negative or stagnant, burn either of these smudging

sticks and swirl it counterclockwise in every room or closet.

I also burn it on my front porch to clear away energies of people who have come into

my home and office to clear out any bad juju.

When finished, place the stick in a fireproof bowl of metal, glass, or clay.

The glow will eventually go out on its own.

2.

Open all the doors and windows, and run water from all the faucets.

A shaman showed me this trick when he walked into my old house, which at the time was

filled with a lot of painful, negative memories.

Open all of the windows and doors of your home, turn on the faucets in the kitchen and

bathrooms, and let the water run for just a few minutes.

So as not to waste water, especially in high-drought areas (like California where I live), its

important to find another place where you can conserve water after you do this.

I turn my sprinklers off for a few days, shorten my showers by five minutes, and dont run

my dishwasher that week to balance things out.

3.

Diffuse essential oils.

Essential oils are one of my favorite ways to purify the air and energy in both my home

and office.

Frankincense is one of my favorite go-to essential oils for clearing out stagnant energy and

grounding.

I also use a few drops on my kids and myself for immune support and to help in calming

the nervous system.

Some other great essential oils for clearing stagnant energy are Purification, Sandalwood,

Eucalyptus, and Lavender.

All of these purify the air and raise the vibrational energy of the space.

There are some great diffusers you can purchase in stores and online for burning these essential

oils.

4.

Crystals.

My house is full of really cool crystals Ive collected during my travels.

White quartz and black tourmaline are my favorites for clearing out negative energy.

I buy mine from a local shop in Los Angeles, but they can be also be found at many reputable

shops online.

5.

Sea salt.

There are different ways to use salt to clear energy.

One is to sprinkle sea salt into different corners of the room, let it sit for a few

hours, and then vacuum it up.

Salt is well-known for absorbing negative energy.

You can also place black tourmaline in the corners of rooms with a little salt sprinkled

around it to absorb any lingering energy in the space.

Another great way to clear energy, especially your own, is to soak in an Epsom salt bath.

I put two cups of Epsom salts into a warm bath with some lavender oil and soak for at

least 20 minutes when I feel sluggish, tired, or irritable.

Its phenomenal for opening up your chakras and getting the good chi flowing through your

body again.

6.

Affirmations and mantras.

We often dont realize not only how powerful our thoughts are, but the energy those thoughts

create in our personal spaces.

When weve been stressed, upset, angry, or depressed, our homes and offices absorb

that energy like a sponge.

When Im doing a clearing of my home or office, I typically burn sage or palo santo,

run water from all the faucets for a few minutes, open the doors and windows, and say the following:

I clear this space of any and all negative energy and anything lingering here that is

not for my highest good.

Burn out and clear away anything that is no longer serving me.

Surround this space with a container of white light to protect me from all lower energies

and anything not serving my very highest self.

And so it is Whatever you choose to say when clearing out

your own space, do what feels right for you, but make sure to include something in there

about clearing out anything not in alignment with your highest self.

7.

Music and candles.

The last thing that always helps in rebalancing the space is lighting some candles and putting

on some high-frequency music that creates a soothing, zen vibe.

I personally love listening to yoga and meditation playlists Ive created on Spotify, but I

recommend you play whatever feels most grounding to your own heart.

Pair that with at least a dozen candles to bring warmth back into your space, and youll

really feel the shift!

None of these practices take very long, and they make all the difference in how you feel

and how the space feels to other people when they walk in.

Like routinely clearing out the other clutter in our lives, its important to clear the

emotional clutter as well.
