and today I want to account for the dishonest populism that underpins
the Social Democratic proposal to prevent private schools from operating.
with this as a starting point, I want to explain what populism really is
and how the social democrats have misread the public opinion, which is accelerating their implosion.

the Reepalu-investigation, which is the name of the disastrously criticized proposal
which the "Collaboration Government" dragged into parliament to be voted down on the 7th of June this year.
I have previously accounted for the shortcoming of this proposal, there is a link above for those interested
but to summarize, they mean to limit private companies from making a profit in a way which would destroy 80% of the market
Everyone knew this was a lousy proposal which rightly would be voted down by the parliament.
In fact, the purpose of the entire proposal was for it to be voted down so it could be used to
establish a left/right conflict making it possible to accuse
"The centre-right Alliance and the Sweden Democrats" of "prioritizing the interests of venture capitalists over our children."
All this in order not to have to talk about migration issues during the election campaign
At this point we need to understand the concept "profile issue"
A profile issue is a strong and clear political topic that a career politician
will let the public associate him or her with in order to be remembered
during the election.
Enter the stage: Ardalan Shekarabi and Anna Ekström.
Ekström formerly was a highly esteemed general director of the school administration authority
who even engaged in dialogue with the privately held "English School" to draw on their expertise on how to make schools better
on the 13th of September 2016 she was appointed minister of colleges by the Collaboration Government
after which she transformed into a Marxist version of Don Quijote

is the profile politician thats created more hashtags for #stoppingProfit than there are voters in Sweden
This "school brigade of la Mancha" is now - between the lines - tasked with
splitting the nation left/right
with the hope of making the unionised workers forget
the 9000 Afghani men who recently were granted an hugely impopular amnesty
The new proposal is sloppy, and worse, flagrantly untruthful
Ultimately it constitutes a ban on private schools.
A sacrifice a desperate Social Democracy is happpy to give
I will now go through the proposal point by point. Ladies and gentlemen. I give you: The Ingenious Schoolknight of the Collaboration Government!
"On June 7th, the Sweden Democrats and the other right wing parties"
(note the right/left bundling)
"NAY, to our proposal of stopping profits in school and healthcare."
"But we will not relent. The election of 2018 will be a referendum on Swedish welfare!"
It's a referendum alright. But not on welfare.
And it is not enough for the Social Democrats to WANT it to be.
Where the Reepalu investigation was devious and buried the fact that it was advocating a ban on private enterprise in welfare
by using complicated accounting terminology
you have got to hand it to the Schoolknights, they are honest.
they are now openly saying they want to ban private schools.
"Until the pursuit of profit has been terminated, and the profit incentives and their effects"
"have been greatly reduced, we will stop any new private schools from opening."
They motivate this rash move with a series of outright lies.
Segregation! Private schools separate students based on the level of education of the parents!
WRONG - it is actually the other way around. Statistics from the School Authority shows that segregation is REDUCED in parity to the degree of free choices available
The main reason for segregation is habitation segregation in combination with the "proximity principle"
If you want to combat segregation, you should increase the possibility of individual choice, for example by making it mandatory to choose a school.
Inflated grades! The private schools are BUYING students by giving them unduly good grades!
Not true at all. According to the School Authority's study from 2017 - link in the description below
there is no difference in grading between private and communal schools.
The local councils should control the application process!
Reasonable, like if Pepsi was to manage the distribution of Coca Cola.
This proposal has been investigated by the School cost investigation committee, and rejected as illegal, expensive and largely unimplementable

The situation of the teachers! The bad, bad private schools cut back on teacher numbers and salaries to get their hands on the cash!
this is bad for both teachers and students!
WRONG! According to the Work Health Index for Schools, teachers in private schools are in general MORE happy with their situation than in communal schools.
Education levels are falling!
At the present moment we need to remember that around 80% of all schools are communal.
and that the inflow of migrants with a less established academic background is likely affecting the test results
If the 20% odd percent of schools that are private were responsible for the drop, it would surely reflect on the behavior of the parents who actively choose private schools
Taken together, the School Knights are kicking up enough dust to produce the illusion of a bushfire
and in vintage left armour attacking windmills they are hoping OTHERS to mistake for enemies.
They do not believe it themselves.
Because they have read the same material I have. But if you are a profile politician, you cant let your profile be worn down by details like science and truth.
Populism is characterized by oversimplified solutions to complicated problems, and the establishment of artificially antagonistic groups:
The problem is that the voters are not buying it.
and the left wing support the Social Democrats were hoping for does not exist anymore.
As a result, they are inventing evermore spectacular enemies to generate conflict and support
A vast majority of dedicated parents are demanding more new schools.
and by 2027 Sweden is tasked with schooling close to 400.000 new children, which at the present moment there is no room for.
Without private schools, this in an impossible task.
Already at this moment, suffering communities like Malmö is experiencing massive brain drain, as productive families with children are leaving the city because of a lack of decent schools
The plan that was devised to reignite nostalgia for The People's Home, has backfired on the Social Democrats.
and now they are in a fee fall opinion-wise.
Not only are they being hammered with critique of failing integration of migrants
they are also being criticized for the destructive welfare reforms they are proposing.

this is outrageous!
But it tells a story of how politics work
here's a promise: I am transparent!
As far as I am involved in politics, I will present everything

and the reason that nobody does, is because they are all career politicians.
I'm an entrepreneur, I'm free. I don't care.
