[title sequence]

Guys! If somebody wants but doesn't know where to buy foreign combat rations at a good price

we would like to recommend you www.army-rations.ru

There is a wide range of NATO combat rations and also other ones.

You can buy them at a give-away price.

If you have purchase or delivery questions,

you can contact the seller directly.

His name is Valery,

he will provide you with all the necessary information.

All the links are in the video description.

Hey pal! How are you? Welcome to Outdoor Tactical.

Today we're reviewing U.S. Army Long Range Patrol Food Packet.

This ration is freeze-dried.

As a rule, Navy Seals use it...no, I mean...

...U.S. Marines or United States Army Special Forces usually have this ration.

Okay, let's check this thing.

It weighs 540g [1,2 pounds]

The calorific value is 1540 calories

and it's basically 240 calories more than in the typical American MRE.

As I said, this ration weighs not much because it's freeze-dried

so, there is just dehydrated food,

and you will need some water to cook it.

Some words about the bag.

As always, there isn't much information

only menu, it's #11,

and we have here

scrambled eggs and bacon pieces.

That's all, calories and other details aren't written on the bag.

You can check nutrition and weight data

on the official website of the US Army Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

By the way, me and Denis, we reviewed Cold Weather MRE

here is the link, check it attentively, please.

And there...

...was...

…the Cold Weather Menu was exactly the same.

there also was freeze-dried scrambled eggs with bacon pieces and other stuff.

It seems they just changed the bag and ration name, that's all.

Of course, we'll check it. I wanna be sure they are similar.

Let's open and check it what's in it.

By the way, if somebody doesn't know how to open MRE bags.

Do you see the triangle on the bag? This thing is on all the American MREs.

Almost on all bags.

So, you can just easily open it

It's very handy. Okay, let's check what's inside.

Having opened this MRE, the American Army Ranger will get:

scrambled eggs with bacon

fig fruit bar

orange beverage base

instant oatmeal with maple and brown sugar

cocoa beverage powder

nuts and raisins

a standard MRE accessory bag

and of course, the strongest plastic spoon.

So, really, this Long Range Patrol Ration reminds me Cold Weather MRE very much.

As a matter of fact, you'll need water to cook this crazy freeze-dried stuff.

More than that, you'll need hot water to cook it.

Okay, let's serve it, brew, and then eat these meals.

While the water is boiling, I'd like to show you

how the scrambled eggs look inside the bag

these dehydrated pieces of something

I guess you can't see, but there are also bacon pieces in the bottom of the bag

That's how the brewed scrambled eggs look.

We can really see chopped bacon...

...and, actually...

pieces of scrambled eggs.

Generally, it looks rather tasty,

that's kind of similar to omelet.

Let's take a bite.

About muesli. If to be precise, it's...

...it's an oatmeal.

Guys, the serve is large enough.

The smell is just whackin' good, because it's with maple and brown sugar.

This maple smell is just...

...awesome.

I think it will be tasty.

Okay, pal, let's eat this kind of omelet.

By the way, as I said earlier, Denis and me, we've already eaten it in Cold Weather MRE.

And this one is...

Well...

Look...

It's written on the bag that cooking time of scrambled eggs is 5-10 minutes.

That means...

it's not allegedly longer than 10 minutes.

We were cooking it for 10 minutes in winter

and it wasn't brewed properly

This time, I've cooked it for 15 minutes

and I have the same shit again.

When chewing these big pieces

you can feel how they crunch in your mouth.

I guess...

...I guess it should have been brewed 5 more minutes,

and the overall time would be 20 minutes.

Basically....

…It's not bad, this meal gets "С+".

I wish I could add some Tabasco,

but there aren't any seasonings, so…

...oh, pal, wait, I haven't opened it.

I've almost screwed up.

Let's check the accessory bag.

I completely forgot about it.

So, as always, there is a moist wipe.

Okay, what's next?

A typical instant coffee Type 3.

A toilet tissue, if you want you can also use it as a napkin.

Okay, that's...

a salt

a coffee creamer

one more toilet tissue here.

By the way, it's odd, because I've never seen 2 toilet tissues in one MRE.

Honestly, for the first time.

Standard MRE matches

they are designed especially for damp climate

but you can't keep it in the damp air for a long time, because they won't light.

Actually, it's a very odd instruction.

Okay, a sugar

2 chewing gums

and…tabasco.

Here it's! This precious thing!

Well, let's add some Tabasco now.

Oh, for fuck's sake, why the hell…shit.

I've stained myself, what a swine!

Somebody said that thing always happened to me.

What can I say? Guys, shit happens.

Okay...

so...

...that's it.

That's what I'm talking about.

If you have some sauces in MRE

as a rule, they usually...

change any meal

making new hints, and that's what has happened now.

Now this omelet isn't "С+"

it's good and solid "B"

That's good,

and exactly Tabasco has made it better, added half a grade.

Okay

Let's start, guys.

I've already made drinks: orange one and cocoa.

I've properly shaken them in the bags, as it should be.

Of course, you can drink out of these bags

it's handy and even recommended,

but I'll pour it into the cup to show you how it looks.

Oh, my dear cup, where do always go? Don't get away.

Cheers!

It's just bloody Fanta.

There is no bubbles

but it's almost the same taste.

I don't know, I'm really thirsty now, the weather is hot...

...and this drink refreshes me pretty good.

Okay, let's start eating our oatmeal.

Mmm!

That's really delicious.

Oatmeal...

...with maple sugar, with syrup…I mean this brown sugar...

and it tastes...

...just incredibly.

If you were here, you'd smell this clear maple aroma.

I just don't understand, why we, Russians don't produce this amazing thing.

Firstly, it's very nutritious.

Goddamn, where the hell are you going again?

Secondly, this meal is tasty.

I don't have any doubts, it's just "A".

So, we have cocoa.

Besides, I've told many times that...

cocoa in the American MREs is the best one,

if we talk about world combat rations.

Here isn't much cocoa in the cup,

you can add more water, but it's recommended to pour exactly 250ml.

Okay, we have only...

...this...

a big fig bar, as you can see.

I can feel with my fingers that...

it's exactly divided into 2 pieces here.

The first attempt wasn't successful.

…okay, it's...

...it's not a bar, kind of cookie

If to break in 2 pieces

you can see the fig filling inside.

It's rather sweet but not excessively sugared.

You know...

that's ok with the same coffee.

Mmm!

Cocoa - "A". That's the highest standard of cocoa as it should be.

So...

So, this bar with tea or even cocoa...

It will be just absolutely perfect...

...because it's really delicious.

The main thing is that it's spongy.

You won't break your teeth.

It's just great.

Friends, with your permission,

I won't drink...

coffee with creamer

because

basically, it's absolutely the same in all American MREs and other combat rations.

I can tell you that it tastes so-so.

So, what's then? There are only different wipes...

...to wipe hands.

The American moist wipe is wet but it's absolutely...

…lemon, it smells just a bit.

There were great moist wipes in the Portugal combat ration, here is the link

...and in some other one, I don't remember…

…there were just great wipes.

I hope I won't need it in the nearest hour at least.

Friends, let's summarize this MRE shortly

…oh, holy moly, wait, I'm such a bustler.

We also have nuts.

Nuts and raisins mix.

Guys, there is a great variety of nuts: almonds, cashews, peanuts, something else, and of course, raisins.

There is...

...there is even a hazelnut.

It's not salty, just a bit.

it's not sweet for sure.

Okay, guys, nuts are just nuts. There is no much difference...

...between them in various MREs.

Okay, now...

it's really high time for a brief review.

This MRE...

Basically, It's a rather good one meal MRE for one person.

Honestly, I guess that it's the breakfast menu

I just really think so for some reason,

but in any case, as I said, it's more than enough to eat your fill.

Small weight is a great advantage.

It's nutritious, 1540 calories...

for one meal MRE - it's also pretty good.

What I don't like?

I needed almost 1 liter of water to cook all the meals in this MRE.

I'd like to point out that I didn't make coffee,

and that it means, I would definitely need 1 liter of water or even more.

Of course...

...you'll need hot water to cook all this stuff.

I read somewhere that it's also acceptable to use cold water,

but you might be waiting for a long time, and guys, taste quality will be very different.

Generally...

...this MRE deserves "B+". What do you think about it?

Okay, pal. Thank you so much for watching this video.

Be sure to share it with your friends.

Click thumbs up if you like this video

and let me know what you think about this MRE.

Thank you, guys!

Bye!

Consistency Will Make You Holy - Duration: 7:16.

Hi, my name's Fr. Mike Schmitz and this is Ascension Presents.

So, years ago, I heard a story about Steve Martin —

Steve Martin the actor, comedian, and musician.

So, when he was starting out

as a comedian, as an on-stage performer and magician, he was really young.

In fact, I read his autobiography about his life as a stand-up comic —

which is not for children by the way, so if you are a child, please don't read that.

It is inappropriate in many places, but he's telling the story of his life.

When he started out he always wanted to be an on-stage comic, magician, whatever.

But he knew that as a comedian who was young, people wouldn't take him seriously

unless he could prove to them right away that he knew how to do stuff.

So he thought, well, what can I do?

I can learn a musical instrument — learn something difficult —

and then I can showcase that on stage and people would know

"Oh hey, he's not just some kid who's just stepped up on stage.

He's someone who knows how to do something difficult."

So that something difficult that he chose to learn how to do was play the banjo.

It's difficult to learn how to play the banjo though, however,

and so he found himself a little bit discouraged at the prospect of learning this musical instrument.

He told himself, "Well, if I practice the banjo 20 minutes a day, every day" —

that's not too much, 20 minutes that's it —

"if I practice the banjo 20 minutes a day every day, in 20 years I'll be pretty good at the banjo."

That's what he did then. He just practiced.

And what happens is, it compounds on itself, right?

The better and better you get at a thing, the more you want to play it and want to do that thing.

And so he ended up not just being "okay" at the banjo. I think he has now gotten a bunch of Grammys.

When it comes to his banjo music or his bluegrass music,

it's just phenomenal, it's really interesting.

And that's what I want to talk about.

When we think the word faithfulness, we can think of this like,

"Well I'm really faithful which means I have this kind of really religious-churchy kind of aspect about me."

Which might be the case, but let's be practical. Let's be really concrete.

Faithfulness, in so many ways, merely means 'consistent.'

So actually, another definition or another translation of the word 'faithful' is 'steadfast.'

To be steadfast is to be consistent. It means that I do what I say I was going to do.

So to be consistent is to be faithful.

I want to talk about this because here's — I mean, let's look at Steve Martin.

He was faithful to the banjo, which means he was consistent in his practicing the banjo.

And it was that consistency that actually changed him.

It made him into someone who was excellent at this thing, at the thing that he did.

And this is the case for every human being you ever respect.

What I mean is, any human being who can do something that you really respect.

Now what I want to talk about when it comes to your spiritual life — our relationship with the Lord —

the call is, you know, we want to be holy.

None of us are going to be perfect, but all of us can be consistent.

We show up again and again, day after day, in all circumstances.

Because, as we know, it's really easy to show up on the days when I'm feeling good

and the days when everything is conspiring to get me to that place I need to go,

whether it's that I've decided to be faithful to reading Scripture,

I've decided to be faithful to getting to daily Mass, I've decided to be faithful to praying the rosary.

Whatever that thing is, to be consistent in that — it's easy when it's easy. [Laughs]

But we're transformed when we do it regardless of whether we feel like doing it or not.

And when it comes to our spiritual life, sometimes we really, really rely on intensity.

We really want to rely on passion.

But we can't, because it's always gonna let us down.

Because no one will be transformed deeply when it comes to — especially — their spiritual life

if all they rely on is their intensity.

I've said this before, I'll say it again, I'll say it now:

when it comes to almost anything, consistency beats intensity every time.

When it comes to almost anything you want to get excellent at,

whether it's the banjo or belonging to the Lord,

when it comes to praying or when it comes to serving other people.

One of the ways we can exercise consistency in such a way that changes us is —

I got this from one of our students here at UMD. He played baseball for the University.

And he said one of his favorite coaches told all the guys, as athletes, he said,

"Okay the deal is this:

to become an excellent baseball player, to become excellent at this thing,

you need to learn to love the process."

It's a long journey to become excellent at anything; a long journey to become excellent at baseball,

a long journey to become an excellent a saint of God.

So I can get discouraged at like, "Man it's just taking so long."

Yes, but learn to love the process.

"Well right now I don't really feel like it."

Okay, that's the day you need to show up. Because I need to learn to love the process.

To be able to practice in any circumstance, in any kind of weather,

means I can play in any circumstance and in any kind of weather.

If I'm going to be a fair-weather Catholic or a fair-weather Christian,

a fair-weather someone-who-follows-the-Lord,

that means I will only be able to follow him when it's good weather.

But if I consistently — consistently — train myself to show up and be with the Lord

in rainy weather, essentially, or when it's difficult,

then I'll be able to follow him in rainy weather or whenever it's difficult.

Last thing: part of faithfulness, part of consistency,

is being willing to, and able to, say yes to the Lord in the darkness.

Say yes to the Lord when I don't even feel him.

Our tendency, our temptation is, when we find ourselves walking in darkness,

we forget what we learned in the light.

Right? This is true.

When we're in consolation, when the sun is shining down on us

and we know that we're loved by God, it's really easy to believe those things.

But then here we are now in a place of darkness, in a place of trial,

in a place maybe where we've even done it to ourselves, maybe we've fallen into some kind of sin,

and it's really, really tempting to forget in the darkness what we learned in the light.

But faithfulness and consistency will make it a habit — a practice, a conviction —

to remember in the darkness what I learned in the light.

That's faithfulness.

Imagine praying 20 minutes a day, five days a week.

Imagine what your relationship with the Lord would look like in 20 years from now.

Or, you could just put it off for 20 years.

And imagine what your relationship will look like with the Lord in 20 years from now.

Either way, the choice is yours.

I believe you are called, though, to choose faithfulness,

to choose consistency in choosing to spend time with the Lord.

From all of us here at Ascension Presents, my name's Fr. Mike. God bless.

Cohen reportedly resigns from RNC committee - Duration: 0:37.

Michael Cohen reportedly stepped down from his leadership post

within the Republican National Committee, and the crisis at the

border was part of the reason. Cohen had been the national

deputy chairman of the RNC's finance committee. In an email

to the head of the RNC, Cohen reportedly cited the ongoing

special counsel investigation and said he didn't have the

necessary time to devote to the committee. But he also

criticized the recent practice of separating migrant families

at the border. According to ABC News, Cohen wrote, "While I

strongly support measures that will secure our porous borders,

children should never be used as bargaining chips."

The TRUTH about family border seperations- Show #60 - RAMSEYREVIVAL.COM - Duration: 13:04.

Thanks for tuning in and welcome to the show

I'm Clark Ramsey your host and if you'd do me a favor before we get started on these very important topics

Please reach down there and click Subscribe and share this video everywhere

You can we need all the help we can and spreading truth these days. I'd like to introduce our new mascot

His name is Gunny. Sure, buddy, Gunny

And this is his owner, what is it, Layla

Okay. All right, I forgot and what about you? What's your name? Becca

Okay, say hi to everybody

Okay. Thanks for saying hi

well today I'd like to get into a much more important topic and

Certainly family is important and that's really what this is about because right now in the mainstream media is running around out there

Claiming that Trump has a policy of separating families and that is a bold-faced lie

And it's based on the same lie that liberals have always told that

Republicans hate children

Conservatives hate children or a bunch of hate mongers we hate

Hispanics we hate blacks. We you know, we hate all the rest of them right bullcrap

That's not true. We just think your policies

And the things that you advocate for are harming people, they're not

Helping in the long run in many cases in the short run the things you advocate for harm people

What's really going on in the border?

short and sweet is that

Trump is enforcing the law and what happens when we enforce a law against criminals what happens in every case?

What happens when I worked in a prosecutor's office?

You arrest people and what does that mean for their children? It means mommy and daddy are taken away and

even though the crime of unlawful entry is a misdemeanor to my understanding which is what

Trump has decided to charge everyone who crosses the border and lawfully with as he should he should enforce our border laws

That's what the therefore

Even though it's just a misdemeanor and people are running out there saying that well, it's just a misdemeanor

Normally, we don't imprison people for this extended period of time when there's a misdemeanor and on and on well

This is a unique situation because number one you're not even a resident much less a citizen of this country

So you do not have the same of Rights number two

The reason Trump is having is enforcing the zero tolerance is because he under the catch and release programs or as law enforcement

Affectionately called it down there the catch and run programs people weren't returning for their day in court. They were just out on the lam

living living in our country

Making an income doing whatever they wanted. And that was the policy under Bush. That was a policy under Obama

That was generally the policy under Trump

Up until very recently

and

so

When you have that problem the way to solve it is to lock them up because they're not returning

You just can't take the risk and what happens when you lock someone up their children suffer, but of course again

this is a unique circumstance because

The the children don't don't necessarily have anywhere to go

I mean, these people are allegedly coming here because they have nowhere else to go. They have no family

They have known kin or whatever. Maybe they have some people here. It's my understanding

Health and Human Services and DHS have worked together to try to find next of kenefick

Yeah, which is the same thing that happens in every criminal process in this country

if a parent is arrested and there's no next of kin or even a neighbor who can look out for these children is willing to

Spit you know take care of these children and the parent is willing to approve that

Then there then the state is going to take custody of them. That's what happens and

Because there's a massive influx influx

Millions of people are ready this year

coming across our border unlawfully

This the feds are overwhelmed. They have nothing

I mean, where are they gonna put these kids and they build an entire city down there to house these children it?

It's not very moral for the for the American taxpayer to foot the bill on that is it?

It's absurd the the left is out there claiming that the Trump administration just hates immigrant children

They're attempting to convince the public the team Trump has launched a war against illegal immigrant

Families by separating children, and that just isn't true

They're even going out there saying that the Trump has a policy of separating children from their families

and that is just a

total denial of

the truth

That this is the way the criminal system works a criminal system sucks for people

you know who get caught up into it as it should that's the deterrent factor as the Trump administration and Jeff Sessions have said

It should be a deterrent it shouldn't be good

And now people aren't there saying we need to fix this we need to make sure families can stay together

Well, maybe someone will come up with some good solution to that

There's talk that the Trump is willing to sign an executive order which likely is going to get challenged in court

because

There's already an agreement from a Ninth Circuit case

That they can't keep the families together

So, I don't know how they're gonna get around that no, no doubt is Rush Limbaugh's was saying today

Someone from the left is probably going to sue on that to try to keep this issue alive if they do make it possible to

Keep families together. They don't want them to stay together

I'm not aware of a detention facility in this country that allows parents to stay with their children

while they're incarcerated and

What responsible parent would advocate for that?

Hey, listen, I know I'm getting arrested but can can my kids stay on my cell with me? No, no way

No way. And again, this is unique situation that you know, the kids are essentially be incarcerated, too

But that's what happens in our domestic criminal justice

System on a daily basis kids become Ward's of the state because no one will take care of them

The reality is is that many people aren't taking care of their kids

The reality is is that many people put their kids in very difficult

Prejudicial situations where they're not going to be taken care of

Comfortable well-fed loved that's the reality

The the left who constantly advocates for women to be in the workplace while they willingly

Drop their kids off with someone who does not love them does not give them all that all the affection and attention they need

For 10 or 12 or 15 hours a day

So much so that there's a daycare on every corner and almost every one of them says no vacancy

Those same people are gonna lecture us about compassion for children

That we're locking children away that we're not giving them affection that this is cold and heartless

How cold and heartless is it to leave your kid in daycare all day pretty freaking cold and heartless if you ask me

But that's beside the point I guess

What this really boils down to is prosecutorial discretion

every law enforcement agent where they be prosecutor

the president governor

Whomever holds the keys to law enforcement this country may and almost always does exercise prosecutorial discretion

Congress the legislature in each state and Congress at the federal level passes laws. That's third job. They passed laws

They passed this particular law in

1952

the democrat-controlled Congress

sponsored and passed the Immigration and Nationality Act which made unlawful entry into the United States a misdemeanor with

progressing punishments according to

You know anyone who continued to violate that same law for repeat offenses

So so how do I know that that Congress?

Wants this law enforced well, because it's on the books and the original Congress that passed it which by the way Truman tried to veto

And there was such overwhelming support especially from Democrats

That they overrode the veto a difficult thing to do

That process is not easy. That's the way that founders established it there had to be a strong will there

so

Congress wanted to pass this law and and you know that they wanted to have this law for it to be real

Because they have fixed the punishment

This isn't you know, the parent who says don't do that Johnny or else or else what no, no

It's not or else get Congress to find the punishment. This is the punishment jail time and or a fine

They could have just prescribed a fine, but they chose to also add jail

So Congress like Elijah Cummings coming out and saying we don't need to change any laws

The president just needs to not you know not be out here having a policy of separating families

Well, he's not he's enforcing the law that you wrote

The Democrats your colleagues wrote and that you continue to have on the books if you don't want to have it

Well, then do something about it

But this is the process you can't now go to the executive and say it's unfair for you to enforce the law

That we put on the books

That's not the way it works and to go around claiming that there's some better way for Trump to enforce

This is just a denial of the way government works

Government is a blunt instrument. It always has been it doesn't go. Well when government gets involved, especially on a criminal level

Look when I worked in the prosecutor's office, I met many drug dealers

domestic abusers career criminals all of them

Needed to commit their crimes as Democrats are claiming that these people are only here out of necessity

They're only violating our laws because they need to well everyone has an excuse that doesn't make the law mood

You're your excuse your desire to flee hardship doesn't make the law mood

and

and law enforcement professionals who are dealing with these situations are not the enemy I

I wasn't the one who took anybody's mommy and daddy away when I prosecuted them

Mommy and daddy were the ones who chose to commit some criminal act that brought them before the court system

They paid the price that is the sad trail of consequences that is criminal action

What Democrats are really saying with the smoke and mirrors campaign about a

policy of separating families is and that Trump doesn't really have to do this is

That Trump doesn't have to enforce the law Trump doesn't really have to arrest these people for unlawful entry and detain them

That's what they're really saying. That's what they really want to happen. And

Many out there saying okay well fine

Do that. Just just don't arrest the parents don't arrest families

is

There anyone who isn't either a parent or a member of the family. Is there anyone who doesn't fall under that category?

How much more of an open border policy which is what the Democrats always wanted? Could you possibly have them at?

how much it doesn't get any more open than that because everybody can claim that exemption and everyone was claiming that exemption which is

Exactly why Trump chose to crack down on it?

Because everyone was slipping through the cracks. It wasn't working

The goal is to have open borders and they think they found another way to do it

They think they found a way to help Democrats win in

November and beyond it's not going to happen. There will be no blue wave

And once again, I don't accept

Democrats moral outrage, I don't accept their their moral pontificating about

What they pretend to hold in high esteem

families

Democrats liberals

Leftist feminists you care about families gag me with a spoon man. Come on

I don't believe it with all your pro-abortion anti male anti masculinity anti patriarchy and I had a

heterosexual

anti-nuclear family and anti

religion and

Pro throw your kid in daycare all day while all the mothers go out and work and show their children no affection and love at

all all day long and then simultaneously

Lecture us about children at the border not being cared for being in an awful circumstance

What is essentially day care?

Trapped in a building all day with no one who loves you that is

what day care is that is what feminism promotes that is left ISM if

You really want to protect families than fight the left tooth and nail

My Tips For a Super-Efficient Workday · ad - Duration: 10:11.

Now you may have noticed recently if you've been watching my vlogs that my

workflow is becoming more and more demanding- which I certainly can't

complain about! It's just things like making and editing videos, running my

online shop, making and editing and printing new artwork... and one of the

things that I have kind of learned along the way in this constant pursuit of

productivity is just how important it is to keep things as simple as possible

so I'm unbelievably excited to be partnering with Intel at the moment- yes

Intel!- and their a super powerful eighth generation i7 core processor which has

the potential to streamline even my busiest days. So I am gonna take you

along with me for a typical day while I try to achieve perfect efficiency and

productivity. So to get all the things done in a day that I need to do and to maintain

some semblance of like work-life balance and sanity, I aim to do around eight

hours of work a day. I try not to go over and I try not to go too far under either.

And you guys will know if you've seen any of my recent videos that I've been

trying to do it in 45 minute chunks of work followed by a 15 minute break and

just keep repeating that in a cycle throughout the day- obviously with like

a longer and lunch break in the middle. I find that breaking things up in that way

helps to keep me in like an optimum state of motivation and momentum and it

really increases that focus of knowing; 'okay if I'm in this work chunk, I'm just

gonna be purely working, and in my 15 minute break I can watch conspiracy

theory videos to my heart's content', without feeling any

self-judgement or like I should be working. And with that kind of rigid

routine of work and rest time, I do find it helps to cut out as much time-wasting

as possible however you can. Just having a really nice easy transition from one

thing to another, it just adds up to so much time saved in the long run and a

lot less decision fatigue throughout the day. So for example having this laptop as

like a two-in-one really cuts down on having to switch between devices and

I know that pretty much everything I need is going to be right here whether it's work

or play but you'll see more of that as I go on throughout the day.

Mornings for me- I think for a lot of people- are a great time for work that is

more creative, more conceptual. I actually do most of my painting and experimental

artwork stuff that's just for me, I'll do that first thing in the morning before

actually starting on my 'work' hours. So that's actually all done so far for

today and I might, if I have time, get back into some sketching of things but

for now I'm already done with that and that's great

to have that done and out of the way before I have to start work. And that

kind of warms me up so that once I'm sat down to do actual work work, it's a good

time for me to do things like planning videos or brainstorming ideas... if I've

got like a brief from a client that needs kind of going over and coming up

with ideas for it's a great time for that... making thumbnail sketches for

bigger pieces... it's just the time where my brain I know is in the optimum kind

of mind space for that. I've been loving using this laptop as a tablet. If you've

seen other videos of mine you'll know I kind of like to spread things out do a

big brainstorm usually on a big piece of paper but that recently has been leading

to this huge stack which- as you might have noticed- was literally just on the

floor by my desk and everything is organized in kind of a roundabout way

but it is a little bit inconvenient at times and it helps to have things

digitally sometimes just to be able to edit things really quickly, move things

around, and I can sketch, I can doodle, I can write things... it helps a lot to have

things just all in one place... This stack of paper is already making me quite

anxious so I'm going to put it back on the floor. Yeah so all the people that

think I'm super-organised, this is the reality of it. You just don't get to

see what goes on underneath the desk. Another great benefit of having this on

a tablet is that I can have everything up on the same screen that I need. So if

I'm using a brief I can have that up, if I'm using references I can have those up

on the screen as well. Literally everything I need right here so it's so

easy to just enter that flow state undisturbed no distractions and so much

more convenient to do it on a tablet that has this amazing

8th gen, i7 processor laptop power so there's no lag,

I don't really have to worry about having loads of programs open at once.

After- and only after- I've made at least a start on some creative work, that is

when I will allow myself to spend some time checking emails, maybe going

through social media ,just checking on that side of things. And that just helps

me from getting sidelined by other priorities and maybe other people's wants and needs

and demands first thing in the morning. I've had that space to do my own thing

and work to my own rhythm without being pulled in a certain direction.

I'm warmed up now so I feel a little bit better equipped to deal with that kind

of stuff and that could involve- like I said- doing emails which I'm doing right

now or reviewing contracts and briefs I might have, going over my finances ,maybe

just processing orders and queries in my shop...

Lots of like necessary, adminny stuff. Most of it I really quite enjoy. Any

excuse to use that spreadsheet for me is a good time. And the rest of it doesn't

feel like such a drag I find if I've already dedicated some time to myself

earlier in the day.

Even on really busy days- in fact, especially on really busy

days- I think it's really important to break up the monotony of it. I really

don't like spending a whole entire day just sad my desk staring at a screen so

I am two chunks of work in, so I've done two hours of like 45 minutes 15 minutes,

and I've had a half-hour lunch break. Had some pitta bread, some taramosalata, some

olives and feta and some biscuits and some juice and now I am packing orders

just to break up the routine a bit, do something I can do standing up, moving

around. If I was doing more art today, I would be maybe move it onto my easel

and stand up to work. Just little things that get me slightly active.

Obviously I'm not a very active person but it helps to just have a little dance

around, put some music on and do something away from my desk just to

break up the middle of the day.

Now on to my next task, I feel like anyone that

has ever edited videos understands that kind of flow you get into where you

just get into a real rhythm of things and time passes without you really

realising how much time has passed. I like to take advantage of that kind of

rhythm of almost effortless productivity by actually editing in bulk when I can

at least a couple of times a week so that I can

have days like today that are just dedicated to YouTube stuff and then I

have time on other days throughout the week to have a more art focused days. And

I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes to you work on a

computer the response as quickly as I can think, you know I don't have to worry

about multitasking, about switching to the internet to look for music for my

videos, I'm always dipping into the internet to look for like Premiere Pro

tutorials as well and it's nice to know that I can do that without slowing

myself down. I was never really a huge advocate for multitasking, I always

thought it led to not really giving a hundred percent to each thing that needs

your attention, but I've realized that when you've got the power of something

like this 8th gen Core i7 processor, you're not sacrificing the potential or

quality of one thing by simultaneously doing another. So right now, this video

it's exporting and that would normally mean going off and doing other things

but right now I'm just going to jump right into Photoshop start making the

thumbnail while I wait for that video to export so that once it's all done and

I'm uploading, it's just ready to go right away. And having this touchscreen

for all those little details ,just really being able to get in there, get that

precision when it comes to editing photos or even editing art, no need to go

and find my other tablets and plug those in, and the fact that this 8th gen i7

processor allows me to do all that with stuff running in the background is just

a real game-changer for me.

I try- and I'm trying to get more strict with myself on this- but I try

to make sure that I stop working at a certain time because it will most

definitely have a knock-on effect to how I perform the next day and I think that

is a side to productivity that kind of gets overlooked; the resting stage. It's

really really really important for keeping up that momentum for more than

just one really busy day. I personally think it's really important to reflect

on your day and just the things that you've done, the things you've achieved.

Celebrate the small victories- I always say that- I think it's really important

to just take a moment to think about what you've achieved and how each step

has taken you a little bit closer to where ever you want to be and, of course,

you want to give that creative side of your brain some space to breathe and

relax. So I like to wind down with a documentary, just something like visually

beautiful, I don't really have to pay a lot of attention to other than like

looking at the pretty pictures. It just really helps to fill up those

inspiration wells again, perfect way to just close off a really productive day,

reward yourself and almost transport yourself somewhere else. I adore the two-in-one

features of this laptop, the convenience and comfort of being able to

turn it into my TV like this. I'll have a link below if you want to find out more

about Intel or this particular laptop, it's been the perfect companion for a

full and successful day. Efficiency for me comes from just keeping things

stripped back, keeping it simple, making sure that you have the right

tools and the right mindset to get things done well and no extra fluff

thrown in to slow you down. I would really like to thank Intel again for

giving me the tools to really take my work to the next level and I would like

to thank you guys because without your support I really wouldn't have ever had

an opportunity like this. So let me know if you'd be interested in more kind of

day-in-the-life type videos like this, maybe more of an art-centric one. But

other than that, thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you in the next one.

Bye!

Can We Build Into Space? - Duration: 4:40.

Imagine for a second, a skyscraper, the tallest skyscraper ever built, that's 100 kilometers

tall.

You could take an elevator from the ground floor of this skyscraper all the way up to

where space begins to a sky bar where you could look at the earth below, and maybe even

be launched into space from there.

It would enable the average person to get around the months, years of space training

and get to experience the majesty of space.

This concept is known as the space elevator, and it's an idea that's more science fiction

than anything else at this point.

That's mainly because, Right now, there are no known materials that are strong enough

to enable us to build into outer space.

But what if that changed?

What if a new material was invented and engineers figured out a way to make it happen?

Today, life's biggest questions ask, Will we ever build into outer space?

Hello and welcome back to life's biggest questions.

I'm Charlotte Dobre.

This is where I ask you to hit the thumbs up button, subscribe and let us know in the

comments below a question you have always wanted to know the answer to.

In 1895, Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky envisioned what he called a celestial castle

in space, supported by a huge tower.

Fast forward to 1960, and Yuri Artsutanov, a Russian engineer, modernized the concept.

And then in 1975, Jerome Pearson published a paper about a space elevator.

Heres how a space elevator would look.

Starting with a platform anchored in the ocean at a point on earth along the equator, elevator

cars travel up and down a thick cable using rollers or magnetic levitation to travel.

With this idea, it could take 5 hours or less for the cars to climb up the elevator into

space.

Oh, and to top it all off, one of these space elevator rides would cost perhaps 1/100th

of the price of sending a rocket into space with passengers.

The fact that the only way we can currently get into space, spaceships, is pretty inefficient.

In order for a rocket to be able to make it up there, it has to push against earth's

gravity and overcome atmospheric drag.

Building into outer space would be a far more efficient, less expensive way to get there.

So why hasn't it been done yet?

I mean, come on, we are living in the most technologically advanced era the world has

ever known, why can't we have a space elevator.

Well, The interesting thing is, there are currently companies trying to figure out how

it could be possible to build into space.

Thoth Technology Inc has been granted pageants to create an inflatable structure that goes

up into the stratosphere.

But the stratosphere is not necessarily considered space, it's only about 12.5 miles up.

Space begins at an altitude of 100 km above sea level, at a point called the Karman line.

Still though, as it stands right now, anywhere above 31 miles can only be reached with spaceships.

That being said, we still don't know of any type of material that would be strong

enough to support itself all the way up into space.

Once you get up into the stratosphere, there's the jet stream, an air current that can reach

up to 275 miles per hour.

Even the best, most lightweight, strongest materials we currently know of could not support

a tower like this.

That doesn't mean, however, that won't change in the future.

In 2014, Penn state researchers announced that they had created diamond nanothreads

in a lab.

Furthermore, research is being done into the capabilities of carbon nanotube technology,

and practically every month there is a new milestone reached in graphene research.

Carbon nanotubes are cylindrical tube structures made of carbon molecules that are at least

100 times stronger than steel.

And graphene is the strongest material we currently know of.

Its made of a single layer of carbon atoms.

its 200 times stronger than steel yet its lighter than paper and has extraordinary mechanical

and electrical properties.

There are visionaries who are working tirelessly on the concept of a space elevator.

Like Bradley Edwards, an astrophysicist who's been working on it since 1998.

Michael Laine, founder of liftport, a company dedicated to the advancement of carbon nanotube

technology.

Perhaps in the future, getting to space will no longer be something that only astronauts

and trained scientists do.

Space could be accessible to everyone.

But as it currently stands, building into space just isn't possible.

How long until it could be?

Well, according to a new study, a space elevator could be built and operational by 2035.

A report from the international academy of astronautics laid out the concept of a ribbon,

less than a micrometer across, smaller than a red blood cell, but it would be able to

carry up to 7 20 ton payloads at once.

An anchor that weighs approximately 2 million kilograms would keep it grounded to earth,

and people could be sent up the tether to a structure in space.

This space elevator could reduce the cost from 20 thousand dollars per kilogram of launch

to as little as 500 dollars.

Problem is, the substance required to create the tether has not been invented yet.

Once it is though, a space elevator would be quickly constructed and subsequently enjoyed

by all.

For now, I'm Charlotte Dobre, and you've been watching life's biggest questions,

AQUAMAN & OTHERS WHO DON'T OWN A TV OR PHONE - Duration: 5:17.

Asalaamualaikum guys welcome to another episode of smile2jannah

TV, what does it stand for?

Does it stand for? social conditioner

time-waster, mind-number,

creativity killer, antisocial, corporate controlled, propaganda machine?

N off course not, it stands for television mate

the TV has many uses today

we use the TV to raise our kids

we use it as an excuse to neglect people and not talk to them

it numbs the pain from the bad choices we've made

from the things we really should be dealing with

we point our living room furniture towards it

it makes us smile, cry and even angry

we literally can't live without it

Why should we care? Who cares if there's

research to suggest that excessive TV watching can lead to

diabetes

sadness and loneliness

a warped understanding of how relationships work and our expectations

and of course my favorite, an early death

Mate, I don't care! In fact we don't care

if the people that we're watching, don't watch TV themselves mate

I don't care that the people are literally living off us, wasting our

lives watching them while they live their lives off technology

Let's start off with Jason Momoa

Yes, he's the guy that's played Conan the Barbarian

he's the guy that's also in Game of Thrones

and also now in the Justice League as Aquaman

Here's what he says me in Inked Magazine in August 2011 page 59

he goes "I don't even own a TV, I don't have a cell phone"

What?!!

Here's when he said that to TMZ look at the reaction

I don't have a TV guys

Woah wait you you don't have a TV, you're on Game of Thrones man

really you don't own a television -Nope

that's awesome -You own a computer?

I don't even own a cellphone

Wow, Jason Momoa a man born to the wrong century

I just I just hate people like this, it's like you're not cool, you're not cool because you don't use a cell phone

when asked about following gossip he said

"I'd rather study, write and

play music, just work with my friends and raise my kids and be with my wife I

don't have time to watch all that stuff"

That's amazing, someone that lot of

people look up to and think these guys

In an interview with Yahoo he admits

being raised with no TV and only playing a game when he was aged 38 in fact in

2017 he had this interview with this gaming company and he said you know I've never

really played games before that was the first time he'd played a game at the age

of 38 mate, at the age of 38

In fact there's loads of actors and

actresses that have admitted to not having a TV like Keira Knightley you

guys know her: Pirates of the Caribbean "I don't own a TV"

this actor from divergent: Shailene Woodley she doesn't own a phone

and rarely goes on the internet mate

I just wanted to see what it would be like you know sort of reconnect with humans

again and um in a very real fashion like eyeball to eyeball than sort off thumb to thumb

I saw this another bit where Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

they were sitting on Amazon and they quit thinking you know what, it's too much choice here

Might as well stick with the magazines

George Clooney, he's well-known of speaking out against Facebook and Twitter

A lot of these guys...

even Eminem he's not used to the computer and he says you know what I'm

not even gonna bother because I'm just gonna be watching comments all day

now I know if you have a healthy lifestyle and you've been you know spiritually on point

if you wanna watch something here and there, scientifically it's not gonna

have that much harm on you. Spiritually? That's something I think it's clear

Best thing guys to do is find ways of being entertained that's actually good and healthy for you

That you're actually living life

do stuff productive

go out with your friends and family

do something productive

why is it that we have to drink ourselves,

smoke ourselves and watch ourselves to death?

and we think that's entertainment and enjoyment

come on guys

enough jibba-jabba, don't forget to Like comment and subscribe hit the

notifications guys

and until next time Asalaamu Alaikum

you

Animal Outing Wild About You Card - Duration: 6:50.

hey guys this is angie at chicnscratch this is the card we're making

today and this is using the animal outing stamp set along with the share

what you love does on our series paper here are the measurements we've got so

saffron cardstock eight and a half by five and a half soft suede cardstock

that measures five and a quarter by two and then another piece that measures two

and a half by two and a half they share what you love designer series paper

measures five by two and then very vanilla two and a half by two and a half

we are going to be using the layering circles framelits you can use punches if

you would like this image here is let's see I want to say it's it's larger than

two inches but smaller than two and a quarter okay so these are the two

framelits we're going to be using they almost look like they're the same size

as you can see up close it's not but close okay let's go ahead and score our

card I'm going to place it on the simply scored scoring tool and score it at four

and a quarter and then fold it okay now what we want to do is stamp the wild

about you with black stays on ink the basic black ink did retire and so now we

are using the black stays on when we're using photopolymer stamps though you

still want to use the memento ink okay

and hopefully I grabbed my fresh one I actually kind of never stopped using the

stays on it only retired for a little while okay so wild about you and then

now what we want to do is we want to stamp the leaves for our well we want to

stamp these right here okay so if you need help figuring out where to stamp

them pretty much so what here's what I'm do I've lined up my score line here at

the one inch mark and I can see that I want my leaves to come over about that

far so if you look here I don't know if you guys can see the top of my grid

paper but I want my leaves to come out around the 2 inch mark up here so if you

can see the ruler up here that's where I want it to go to so I'm just gonna

remove my layer there hopefully that made sense to y'all so I'm just making

sure I'm keeping my cardstock and the same location and then I'm just gonna

stamp these sporadically you're not gonna be able to see the upside down

frog and I'm stamping over him a little bit okay let's see how that looks oh I

could have come over a little bit more so what we can do is go back over that

again so maybe not the two inch mark but maybe the two and the quarter okay we

can fix everything in stamping right so see there you have it okay now while

we've got that open let's go ahead and stamp the giraffe he's so cute

and then same thing we're gonna be stamping the leaves and let's see I'm

gonna do one down here and one up here

let's see one over here and one down here okay so now we're done with our

stamp and I'll close the ink pad up and we're going to get the Big Shot and cut

out our images or not our images our image and then our circle okay so here's

the Big Shot form cutting pad we'll go ahead and cut out the scalloped circle

first with soft suede and now let's cut out our image you could go ahead and cut

this circle out before you stamp and then stamp that way you might get a

better placement of the leaves so whatever you prefer okay so let's go

ahead and add our designer series paper to the soft suede cardstock I love both

sides of this designer series paper so it's very difficult for me to cut into

it I want to I want to save it you know I know y'all know what I mean right okay

and then this is gonna go right on the front as well so we'll turn that over

and add our adhesive for the back head over to my website leave a comment I am

going to be given this card that we made today to one person

okay let's open this back up and then now we want to add our oops I got some

ink on that so here's what I'm gonna do I'm going to take this little handy

dandy what is this called a sand eraser and I don't know if you guys have used

this before but it removes our little boo-boos yeah if you need the link let

me know just got it on Amazon okay so now I'm just gonna turn this over and

put some adhesive on the back I'm gonna place two dimensionals now you could

color this if you want to but it's not necessary there's enough color I think

on here yeah and we'll be using a very vanilla envelope for this okay so there

you have it yeah I should have cut the circle out

and then stamped the leaves but it still looks cute and whoever gets it I hope

you like it have a great day bye

Wearing our totally original never replicated, red Millennium Falcon Shirt.

Wait, now all these people are wearing it too?

Yeah.

It's an awesome shirt, Andi!

I'm beginning to understand that, Anthony, but this is supposed to be a black tie event.

You can't just wear a t-shirt, no matter how much you sing about it.

Formal or casual it doesn't matter.

This shirt will always make them chatter.

Rockin' the shirt until the light of dawn, it makes us all feel just like Han.

[Crowd clapping]

Thank you and welcome back.

Oh hey, Gonk!

What are you doing here, buddy?

[Gonk sounds]

Oh!

His batteries are dead!

Wait isn't his entire body a battery?

We need to charge him with whimsy.

It's what powers droids.

That doesn't sound right.

The only way we could save Gonk is to recharge him the only way I know how.

With an all-star telethon!

[Chopper sounds]

[Ewok sounds]

[CH-33Z sounds]

All we need you to do is call 1-855-GONK648 to refill Gonks whimsy reserves.

I don't see how that could possibly work.

There's no time for your logic, Anthony!

This is life or death for Gonk!

And while you at home are dialing in, why don't we take a look back at some of our

most memorable moments from Star Wars Show history!

[Record scratch sound]

Look, I know I say this a lot, but none of that droid stuff is canon.

[Crowd laughter]

Roll the clips!

And this bear is Force sensitive?

Oh yes, all the animals in our zoo are.

[Bear sound]

Well it sounds like this one might be a Sith.

No, no, he's quite friendly, watch.

Oh, dear!

It's quite alright.

He's just a little nervous being on TV.

Quite alright.

Are you sure?

Cause this looks pretty...

...unbearable!

[Laughter]

Chewie, thank you so much for coming!

This is so exciting!

[Sparks]

Oh!

Joining us here in the studio today, we are very lucky to have, Chewbacca!

[Chewbacca sounds]

I don't understand a word you're saying.

I thought he did English now.

My next guest currently has the #1 song in the galaxy, "I Love You More Than The Sun's on Tatooine".

Please welcome, Tusken of Tusken and the Raiders!

[Music]

[Tusken Raider yells]

The Star Wars Show's 100th Episode spectacular will be back after this message!

Thanks, and welcome back.

You know we really have had a lot of fun over the years haven't we.

Yes, we have, but nothing is quite as fun as recharging Gonk's battery reserves.

Weird.

Let's look take a look at some of Gonk's most memorable moments.

[Gonk sounds]

[Record scratch sound]

[Crowd laughter]

[Crowd cheering]

Let's all go home.

Alright!

Welcome to The Star Wars Show.

I'm Andi Gutierrez and with me as always is my co-host Anthony.

[Gonk talking]

Oh, dude.

You sound terrible.

[Crowd laughter]

You coming down with a cold?

[Gonk talking]

Let's go to the news.

[Crowd laughter]

Man, that Gonk.

Always getting into so many scrapes and scrambles!

Yeah, he really is the best droid we've ever had on the show.

[Angry CH-33Z and Chopper sounds]

Well now the time has come, let's check the Whims-O-Meter and see how we're doing.

[Drumroll]

That's okay.

We're almost there!

Keep calling in everybody!

Matt, how are you doing?

Oh, I'm just excited to be here.

Usually I'm on the street talking to strangers, but today I'm talking to strangers on the

phone., so…

Don't get too comfortable Matt Lieb, because we're sending you right back out in the

hot sun after all this is over.

Copy Machine Ghost, how are the phones?

They're about as dead as me!

BWAHAHAH!

Huh.

[Ewok sounds]

Yellloooo...?

Andi?

Is it, is it really you?

Did I get through?!

Peter Townley, my original co-host on The Star Wars Show?

What are you doing?

I'm on the moon, Andi!

Oh man.

Are you okay?

Do you need help?

[Laughing]

Oh no.

I love it up here.

Sure I miss things like human contact and ranch dressing…

Of course I need help!!

Send somebody!!

Well you called in the middle of the show, so we're a little tied up at the moment.

You're still doing the show?

It's our 100th episode.

Wow!

You did all those episodes all by yourself without another host?

[Laughing]

Well that's great Peter *khhhzzzzhht* space interference.

*khkzzzzt* Losing you.

I miss you, bye!

*khkzzzzt*

ANDI!!

He'll call back.

[Crowd laughter]

Now, Remember, everyone, you still have 25 seconds to call in and save Gonk so keep dialing.

[Phones ringing]

[Ewok sounds]

[Chopper sounds]

It's working!

It's working!!

Kevin this is so Wizard!

[Ewok sounds]

Why can you not do that?

[Ewok sounds]

5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

[Sad trumpet sound]

Awwww!

No.

No!

Oh Gonk...

All we wanted to do was put on a show where Star Wars fans can get their news and information

sometimes before, but mostly after it broke on the internet once a week.

Yeah, a Star Wars Show that doesn't take itself too seriously.

One that isn't afraid to plunge headfirst into cringe without fear!

If we lose Gonk, we'll lose our carefree spirit.

Our can-do energy.

Our drive to deliver the finest legally approved and thoroughly vetted Star Wars news and information

to an audience of thousands.

Gonk is the battery to the very heart of this show.

We love him.

And we love you.

[Slow clapping]

[Clapping]

Gonk?

GONK!

Gonk you're alive!

We did it!

[Crowd cheering]

I want to thank everyone for coming out tonight, Chopper, Cheese, Gonk, Kitster, and all of

you especially for watching us these past 100 episodes.

Thank you for watching.

May the Force be with you!

[Crowd clapping and laughing]

Just so we're clear, none of what you saw was canon.

Droids don't run off of whimsy, they don't run on applause, Tusken Raiders cannot sing

or play guitar.

The Star Wars Show operates under its own rules.

Very special rules in its own universe.

And It's not canon, nor will it ever be canon.

Capisce?

I love you.
