Waching daily Jun 21 2018

It's 5 a.m. and I'm on the radio

I'm supposed to call you, but I don't know what to say at all

And there's this girl, she wants me to take her home

She don't really love me though, I'm just on the radio

And I'm not gonna tell you that I'm over it

'Cause I think about it every night I'm not sober, and

I know I keep these feelings to myself

Like I don't need nobody else

But you're not the only one on my mind

If I'm being honest

If I'm being honest

You said I should be honest

So I'm being honest

It's 6 a.m., I'm so far away from you

I don't wanna let you down, what am I supposed to do?

It's been three weeks at least, now, since I've been gone

And I don't even like the road, I'm just on the radio

And I'm not gonna tell you that I'm over it

'Cause I think about it every night I'm not sober, and

I know I keep these feelings to myself

Like I don't need nobody else

But you're not the only one on my mind

If I'm being honest

If I'm being honest

You said I should be honest

So I'm being honest

EC Manchester Students at Vita Residence - Duration: 1:55.

Hello, I am Arianna, I am 22 and I am from Italy,

And I'm here for improving my English.

My name is Anas and I'm from Saudi Arabia.

I'm 23 years old. I'm here for studying English.

Yes this is my first time that I live by my own

and I like it because I have a lot of free time.

I'm always going with my friends outside describing the

city and enjoying here.

So my room is really comfortable because it's

spacious and also because there is a kitchen.

And it's two parts that are separated

and there is also a bathroom that is really comfortable.

So my room is very comfortable.

We have a smart TV. We can access the PlayStation.

We can watch Netflix, series, movies,

whatever you want.

Inside the residence,

we have a lot of amenities like the gym

or the study room and also the movie room.

And here in this part of the city

there are a lot of nightclubs and also a lot of

restaurants - really good restaurants. There is

also a cinema really close to the residence

and also a supermarket.

It takes me 10 minutes to go to school by walk

and if I want to use the bus it will take

only two minutes, but I prefer

to go by walk.

I like the Vita Residence because there

are a lot of students from all over the world

so you can share your free time with them.

Weird Things Americans Find Attractive - Duration: 3:42.

If you were born in the United States, you probably don't think American customs are

all that strange.

But it turns out, we have some relatively bizarre tastes - especially in regards to

beauty.

Success in the U.S. is often measured by one's ability to earn a lot of money.

So, naturally, many things Americans find attractive are rooted in the appearance of

wealth.

With that in mind, here are some things Americans, especially, find pleasing to the eye.

That sun-kissed look

In the U.S., many women with lighter skin tones strive to achieve a suntanned look.

Dermatologist Dr. Deborah Sarnoff told The Skincare Foundation that this trend is relatively

recent, saying,

"Tanned skin is not, nor has it ever been, a universally accepted ideal."

While European and Brazilian women also go for a sun-kissed look - we're not in the majority.

Women throughout China, Korea, Thailand, and India strive to lighten their natural skin

tone.

For centuries, pale skin was thought to indicate high status.

But in the 1920s, French fashion designer Coco Chanel popularized tanning in France

and abroad - and by the '60s, having a tan in America signified a life of luxurious leisure

because it meant you had the time - and the money - to travel.

Straight pearly whites

In America, the whiter your chompers, the better.

According to the Simmons National Consumer Survey, more than 39 million Americans used

teeth-whitening products in 2017.

And not only are we obsessed with whitening, we also want our teeth to be straight.

In 2015, New York Magazine reported that over the previous 20 years, the number of American

and Canadian teenagers receiving orthodontic treatment just about doubled.

Adults, too, now make up a quarter of all orthodontic patients throughout North America.

But not everyone's feeling that megawatt smile.

Professor Jimmy Steele of Newcastle University's Dental School, told BBC News that Brits prefer

natural smiles, saying,

"U.S. teeth are sometimes whiter than it is physically possible to get in nature."

Thin is (still) in

Obesity in America reached an all time high in 2016, yet it's obvious from our cultural

output that Americans still aspire to be thin.

But in places without access to western media, like parts of Nicaragua, people don't obsess

over their weight.

That is, until - as one university study found - they started watching our TV shows.

Sure enough, they started idealizing thinner bodies.

A full face of makeup

While fresh faces may be trending, Americans are still very into cosmetics.

But are we more into makeup than other countries?

Maybelline Spain makeup artist, Gato Zamora, told The Cut,

"You guys take risks.

In Spain it's much quieter."

Zamora noted how Americans wear false lashes even to work - which is not the case in Spain.

Laura Mercier of the French cosmetic line also noted the contrast, saying,

"It really astonishes me the way American women wear so much makeup.

French women are not flashy.

They must be subtle.

The message must not be, 'I'm spending hours on my face to look beautiful.'"

"To me, the feelings I feel on beauty is that every woman is beautiful.

If you touch too much, you change yourself."

Hair - where?

While some American celebs, like Madonna and Miley Cyrus, are all about their natural armpits,

they're certainly not the norm in the U.S.

Most American women prefer a relatively hair-free look, but we're not the only ones.

Both men and women shave their armpits in Colombia and Turkey.

But in China, hair removal wasn't a thing until about twenty years ago.

Nailing (and blowing) it

As Americans, we may not think we're that different from our friends across the pond.

But British-born writer, Suzanne Jannese, doesn't quite "get" her American sisters.

She writes,

"You seem to spend an unholy amount of time being groomed: blow-dry salons (something

the UK hasn't gotten into…yet) and making time in your day to get your nails done and

hair coiffed."

Well, it isn't called "America the beautiful" for nothing.

Front End 101: The Basics (EP. 1) - Duration: 1:38.

Hello everyone, welcome back to our channel

There are two terms thrown around a lot in the web industry.

Back end, Front end

What is that?

Especially in HACKTIV8, a coding bootcamp,

we hear a lot about front end and back end.

So we're here to find out what they are!

So let's take it like this: Your website is basically a sum of layers.

Different structures, and data, and information

piled on top of each other to create what you see on a website.

It's everything that you interact with.

Like the button in the corner

or a picture that you see

or even the fonts and the colors that they use to create that beautiful web design.

Or maybe we can take it like this: If you want to build a cake

you can't just have icing

or eggs

or just sugar

to build one full cake

You need every component.

You need it all combined, you need to put it together before you put it in the oven.

And then you need to put icing on it and decorate it and then you'll have a full cake

Or else no one would want to buy it, right?

That's exactly what front end does.

It helps your web look beautiful, interactive, and it makes people want to click more.

On our next video,

our developer friend is going to explain a little bit more on the programming languages

that is needed to make the front end of a website.

HTML.

CSS.

JavaScript.

What exactly are they?

Stay tuned and find out in our next episode!

The Parables of Jesus: The Laborers in the Vineyard - Part 2 - Duration: 28:32.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE

BY THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO GOD'S GENEROSITY

IN YOUR LIFE.

ARE YOU GETTING UP EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE AND DOING AS MUCH

AS YOU CAN TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM?

ARE YOU GETTING UP EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE AND BEING AS BIG

OF A BLESSING TO OTHER PEOPLE AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY BE?

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: NOW, YOU KNOW, IN THE WORLD, THERE IS A SYSTEM

THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.

AND I THINK ONE OF THE REASONS WHY IT'S SO HARD FOR US TO MAKE

THIS TRANSITION

IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS BECAUSE WE LEARNED

SO MUCH OF THAT GROWING UP.

WE TEACH IT TO OUR KIDS.

WE LEARN IT IN SCHOOL.

WE EVEN TEACH IT TO OUR DOGS.

"YOU WENT TO THE POTTY, HERE'S A TREAT."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: EVERYTHING THAT, YOU KNOW, WE DO WHAT'S RIGHT,

WE GET A TREAT.

IF YOU DON'T DO WHAT'S RIGHT, YOU DON'T GET THE TREAT.

BUT YOU SEE, THAT'S NOT THE WAY GOD IS.

HE OPERATES ON A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SYSTEM.

GOD GIVES US UNDESERVED FAVOR.

LET'S LOOK AT EPHESIANS 2:8 AND 9: "IT IS

BY FREE GRACE (GOD'S UNMERITED FAVOR) THAT YOU'RE SAVED

(DELIVERED FROM JUDGMENT AND MADE A PARTAKER OF CHRIST'S

SALVATION) THROUGH [YOUR] FAITH.

AND THIS [SALVATION] IT'S NOT OF YOURSELVES [IT'S NOT

OF YOUR OWN DOING, IT CAME NOT THROUGH YOUR OWN STRIVING],

BUT IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; NOT BECAUSE OF WORKS

[NOT THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW'S DEMANDS],

LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.

[IT IS NOT THE RESULT OF WHAT ANYONE CAN POSSIBLY DO, SO

NO ONE CAN PRIDE HIMSELF IN IT OR TAKE GLORY TO HIMSELF.]"

SO, SALVATION IS A TOTALLY FREE GIFT.

ANYBODY CAN HAVE IT AT ANY TIME IN THEIR LIFE.

YOU RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR,

YOU GET TO GO TO HEAVEN.

YOU SAY, "WELL, THEN WHAT'S THE POINT OF TRYING TO BE GOOD?"

WELL, WE DO IT BECAUSE WE LOVE GOD, NOT TO GET GOD TO LOVE US.

I LOVE THIS STATEMENT THAT WAS IN A BOOK THAT I READ

BY DAVID WENHAM.

IT SAID: "THE TRUTH--THERE'S TRUTH IN THE OLD SAYING

THAT THE ENTRY FEE INTO CHRISTIANITY

IS COMPLETELY FREE, BUT THE ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION

IS EVERYTHING THAT YOU'VE GOT.

NO ONE WILL BE IN THE COMING KINGDOM ON THE BASIS

OF HIS OR HER OWN ACHIEVEMENTS, BUT ONLY ON THE BASIS

OF GOD'S GENEROSITY.

BUT EVERYONE WILL BE CALLED TO ACCOUNT ON THE DAY

OF JUDGMENT AND WILL BE REWARDED

ACCORDING TO HIS OR HER RESPONSE TO THE LORD'S GENEROSITY."

SEE, I LOVE THAT.

HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO GOD'S GENEROSITY IN YOUR LIFE?

ARE YOU GETTING UP EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE AND DOING AS MUCH

AS YOU CAN TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM?

ARE YOU GETTING UP EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE AND BEIN' AS BIG

OF A BLESSING TO OTHER PEOPLE AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY BE?

THAT'S WHAT GOD WANTS US TO DO, AND HE DOESN'T WANT US TO DO IT

TO GET SOMETHING FROM HIM.

HE WANTS US TO DO IT BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN GIVEN SO MUCH

FROM GOD.

HOW COULD WE POSSIBLY WANT TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN LOVE HIM

AND SERVE HIM?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I'M GLAD THAT THERE

ARE GONNA BE REWARDS IN HEAVEN.

LET ME TELL YA SOMETHIN', THE BIBLE SAYS, "WHAT YOU DO

IN SECRET, GOD WILL REWARD YOU IN THE OPEN."

HOW MANY OF YOU ARE LOOKIN' FORWARD TO YOUR REWARDS

THAT'LL COME FROM GOD?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I AM.

YOU MAY NOT GET YOUR REWARDS FROM PEOPLE HERE,

BUT YOU WILL GET THEM FROM GOD.

NOW, ANOTHER PARABLE THAT GOES

ALONG THE SAME LINES IS LUKE 18, BEGINNING IN VERSE 18:

"AND A CERTAIN RULER ASKED HIM, 'GOOD TEACHER [YOU ARE

ESSENTIALLY AND PERFECTLY AND MORALLY GOOD], WHAT SHALL I

DO TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE?'" WELL, HE ALREADY ASKED

THE WRONG QUESTION, WHAT CAN I DO, "TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE

[AND TO PARTAKE OF SALVATION IN THE MESSIANIC KINGDOM]?"

WELL, JESUS WAS GONNA DEAL WITH HIM

BASED ON WHERE HE WAS AT.

"OKAY, IF YOU WANNA EARN SALVATION, THEN LET ME TELL YOU

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO."

JESUS SAID, "DON'T COMMIT ADULTERY,

DON'T KILL, DON'T STEAL, DON'T BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR

YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER."

AND THE YOUNG MAN SAID, "I'VE DONE ALL THIS.

I'M DOIN' GOOD."

AND VERSE 22: "AND WHEN JESUS HEARD IT, HE SAID TO HIM,

'ONE THING YOU STILL LACK.'" YOU KNOW WHAT, NO MATTER

HOW GOOD ANY ONE OF US THINK WE ARE, THERE'S ALWAYS

ONE THING THAT WE LACK.

THAT'S SO FRUSTRATING TO ME.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, AS HARD AS I'VE TRIED, I'VE NEVER HAD

ONE DAY WHERE I DIDN'T LACK ONE THING.

I'LL THINK SOMETHIN' WRONG, OR SAY SOMETHIN' WRONG,

OR DO SOMETHIN' WRONG, OR HAVE A WRONG ATTITUDE.

AND SO WE ALL COME BACK TO THE ONLY WAY THAT WE'RE GONNA

GET INTO HEAVEN IS BY THE GRACE AND THE MERCY OF GOD, NOT

BECAUSE OF ANYTHING THAT WE DO.

"WELL, BUT I AM BETTER THAN THAT GUY."

WELL, LET ME ASK YA A QUESTION, THE GRAND CANYON IS, LIKE,

I DON'T KNOW, WHAT'D THEY SAY?

EIGHTY-EIGHT MILES ACROSS OR SOMETHIN' LIKE THAT.

I'VE GOT IT HERE SOMEWHERE.

ANYWHERE, IT'S REALLY WIDE, 18 MILES ACROSS, I THINK,

AT THE WIDEST POINT.

OKAY, LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION.

IF I CAN ONLY JUMP 6 INCHES, WHICH WOULD PROBABLY BE ABOUT IT

FOR ME--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IF I COULD STAND HERE AND I COULD JUMP 6 INCHES,

AND I'M TRYIN' TO JUMP ACROSS THE GRAND CANYON,

I CAN ONLY JUMP 6 INCHES, AND THEN SOMEBODY ELSE

COMES ALONG AND THEY CAN JUMP 17 AND 3/4 MILES,

BUT THE GRAND CANYON IS 18 MILES, YOU KNOW WHAT?

WE'RE BOTH EQUALLY DEAD.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: SO IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF YOU'RE A LITTLE BETTER

THAN ME OR I'M A LITTLE BETTER THAN YOU, WE ALL LACK ONE THING.

THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING THAT WE'RE GONNA NEED JESUS FOR,

AND THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS.

SO LET'S JUST STOP COMPARING OURSELF WITH OTHER PEOPLE

AND TRYING TO FIND WAYS TO FEEL THAT WE'RE BETTER THAN THEM,

BECAUSE NONE OF US ARE ANYTHING WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I LIKE TO SAY I'M AN EVERYTHING NOTHING.

I'M NOTHING IN MYSELF, BUT EVERYTHING IN HIM.

BOY, WHEN YOU READ SOME OF THESE SCRIPTURES, IT MAKES YOU THINK,

"MAN, IS THERE ANY HOPE?" "ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT

OF THE GLORY OF GOD."

"ALL OF YOUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS IS LIKE FILTHY RAGS."

"NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE."

"NO ONE UNDERSTANDS."

"NOBODY SEEKS OUT GOD."

"ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE."

"THEY'VE ALL GONE WRONG."

LIKE, "WOW, IS THERE ANY HOPE?"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YEAH, IN CHRIST JESUS.

YOU KNOW WHAT, I'VE GOTTEN REALLY COMFORTABLE WITH KNOWING

THAT EVERY DAY I'M GONNA FAIL.

I USED TO HATE THAT BECAUSE I'M REAL GOAL ORIENTED, AND, BOY,

I WOULD GET SO AGGRAVATED AT MYSELF IF I WOKE UP

WITH MY PLAN OF HOLINESS, AND BY 9 O'CLOCK,

I'D ALREADY MADE A MESS.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, I CAN LAY IN BED AND REALLY PLAN

FOR HOLINESS, AND IT LASTS TILL I PUT MY FEET ON THE FLOOR.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: OR TILL I SEE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HOW MANY OF YOU ARE PRETTY SPIRITUAL

WHEN YOU'RE HOME ALONE?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: COME ON, COME ON.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: IT'S THE PEOPLE THAT GET US,

AND THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU JUST CAN'T-- AND, YOU KNOW, HAVE YOU EVER

NOTICED THAT GOD SURROUNDS YOU WITH THE ONES THAT ANNOY YOU

THE MOST?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU CAN RUN AWAY FROM ONE OF 'EM,

AND YOU'LL FIND ANOTHER ONE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: ACTUALLY, I'LL TELL YA THE TRUTH.

I BELIEVE THAT GOD USES THINGS AT DIFFERENT TIMES, NOW, LISTEN

TO ME, TO DRAW SOME OF THE WORST OUT OF US.

YOU SAY, "WHY WOULD HE WANNA DO THAT?"

BECAUSE HE HAS TO KEEP US KNOWING THAT WE NEED HIM.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: HE HAS TO KEEP US REALIZING THAT WE NEED HIS MERCY

JUST AS MUCH AS EVERYBODY ELSE NEEDS HIS MERCY.

WELL, LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION.

IF I'M HAPPY TO RECEIVE THE MERCY OF GOD WHEN I NEED

IT, WHAT KIND OF A CHRISTIAN AM I IF I'M HAPPY TO RECEIVE IT

FOR MYSELF, BUT THEN I RESENT GOD GIVIN' IT TO SOMEBODY ELSE?

I MEAN, JONAH IS SUCH A CLASSIC EXAMPLE.

WHEN GOD TOLD HIM TO GO TO NINEVEH AND PREACH, HE WENT

THE EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

HE DID NOT WANT TO GO PREACH TO THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE HE

DIDN'T THINK THEY DESERVED IT.

WELL, GOD MANAGED TO HAVE A WHALE SWALLOW HIM UP,

AND YOU KNOW THE WHOLE STORY.

IT'S AMAZING.

LAST NIGHT, WE SAW A YOUNG MAN WHO FINALLY GOT

AN EYE-OPENING--GOT HIS EYES OPENED BY LEAVIN' HIS FATHER'S

HOUSE AND THEN GOIN' OUT AND HAVIN' TO EAT WITH THE PIGS,

AND THEN HE FINALLY SAID, "WELL, I'LL GO BACK TO MY FATHER."

WELL, JONAH GOT SWALLOWED BY A WHALE, AND WHILE HE WAS

IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE, HE DECIDED THAT MAYBE HE NEEDED

TO REPENT AND DO SOMETHIN' A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT.

MAYBE YOU'RE IN A MESS RIGHT NOW, AND MAYBE YOUR MESS

WILL BE THE THING THAT WILL MAKE YOU DECIDE THAT YOU MIGHT NEED

TO DO THINGS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY THAN THE WAY

YOU'VE BEEN DOIN' 'EM.

BUT NINEVEH, IT MADE HIM ANGRY THAT GOD WANTED HIM TO GO

AND PREACH TO THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T THINK THEY

DESERVED THE HELP.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE TO BE SO CAREFUL ABOUT THINKING,

"YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT.

YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT."

LET'S JUST TAKE, FOR AN EXAMPLE, LET'S JUST BRING IT DOWN

INTO A PRACTICAL LEVEL.

LET'S JUST SAY THAT YOU WORK AT A PLACE AND YOU'RE

THE BELIEVER THERE, OF COURSE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IS ANYBODY LIKE THIS OTHER THAN ME?

I MEAN, ARE YOU--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: PLEASE DON'T SIT AND LOOK AT THAT INNOCENT.

IT'S GETTIN'--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IT'S GETTIN' HARD.

I MEAN, YOU DON'T SIT AT LUNCH AND GOSSIP.

YOU READ YOUR BIBLE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU GO TAKE A WALK OUTSIDE.

YOU GET TO WORK EARLY AND YOU PRAY.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND SO, YOU'RE BELIEVING GOD FOR THIS POSITION

THAT JUST OPENED UP.

IT'S GONNA BE A PROMOTION.

IT'S GONNA MEAN MORE MONEY.

AND, BOY, YOU GOT YOUR FAITH OUT.

YOU'RE TRUSTIN' GOD.

YOU'RE GETTIN' PEOPLE TO AGREE WITH YOU.

AND THEN THE MOST WRETCHED SINNER IN THE PLACE GETS

THE JOB.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: NOW, WHY WOULD GOD LET THAT HAPPEN?

WELL, MAYBE JUST TO BRING AN ATTITUDE OUT OF YOU,

"WELL, GOD, I'VE DONE THIS, AND I'VE DONE THAT,

AND I'VE DONE SOMETHING ELSE, AND I DESERVE--"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: NO, HERE'S THE THING.

WE ALL COME UP SHORT EVERY DAY.

WE ALL HAVE TO HAVE MERCY.

AND WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS TRUST GOD.

SOMETIMES GOD LETS THINGS LIKE THAT HAPPEN JUST TO CHECK OUT

OUR ATTITUDE.

YOU KNOW, DAVE SAID ONE TIME, AND HE DOESN'T--YOU KNOW,

HE DOESN'T, LIKE, STAND UP AND PROPHESY A LOT, BUT HE FELT

LIKE HE GOT A WORD FROM GOD TO JUST TELL THE PEOPLE

THAT "AS LONG AS YOU'RE JEALOUS OF WHAT GOD IS DOING

IN SOMEBODY ELSE'S LIFE, YOU'LL NEVER GET WHAT YOU WANT."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND SOMETIMES WE HAVE THINGS STUCK ON THE INSIDE OF US

THAT WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IS THERE.

ARE YOU EVER SURPRISED AT YOUR OWN SELF?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IT'S LIKE, "I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I THOUGHT THAT.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I SAID THAT.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I FEEL THAT WAY."

WELL, A LOT OF TIMES, GOD USES THESE THINGS IN OUR LIFE.

HE MAY LET SOMEBODY ELSE THAT YOU DON'T LIKE GET BLESSED

RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU JUST TO PULL AN ATTITUDE

OUT OF YOU THAT'S HINDERING YOUR WALK WITH HIM SO HE

CAN TAKE CARE OF IT AND GET IT OVER WITH.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: SO LET'S JUST SAY THAT SOMEBODY THAT YOU

DON'T THINK DESERVES IT GETS A GREAT BLESSING.

THE FIRST THING TO SAY IS NOT, "WELL, GOD, THAT'S NOT FAIR."

THE FIRST THING TO SAY IS, "YOU KNOW WHAT, GOD?

WHAT YOU DO IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS.

AND IF THAT'S WHAT YOU DECIDE TO DO, THEN HELP ME BE HAPPY

WITH YOUR DECISION.

AND I TRUST YOU THAT WHATEVER YOU WANT ME TO HAVE,

I'LL GET IT AT THE RIGHT TIME IN THE RIGHT WAY AND NOBODY WILL

BE ABLE TO KEEP IT FROM ME."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW WHAT, WE DON'T NEED TO GO OUT

IN THE WORLD AND GET JEALOUS OF ANYBODY.

WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS GO OUT AND JUST SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WE

CAN BE GOOD TO.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THAT SHOULD BE OUR GOAL EVERY SINGLE DAY

OF OUR LIFE IS JUST GET OUT IN THE WORLD AND BE A BLESSING.

JUST GET OUT IN THE WORLD AND ACT LIKE A CHRISTIAN, AMEN?

AUDIENCE: AMEN.

JOYCE: I TELL YA, THE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE OF JESUS'S

DAY, THEY HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH THE GENEROSITY THAT GOD

GAVE TO SINNERS.

AND SO MANY OF THESE PARABLES, IT'S THE SAME STORY

OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

THE SCRIBES AND THE PHARISEES WERE STANDING BY LOOKING

WHEN JESUS SPENT TIME WITH THE ESPECIALLY WICKED

SINNERS, AND THE THEY WOULD GET UPSET BECAUSE WHY WOULD HE TALK

TO SINNERS?

AND WHY WOULD HE, YOU KNOW, DO

WHAT HE DID WITH THESE PEOPLE?

IN LUKE 18, THERE'S A PARABLE THAT AMUSES ME, BEGINNING

AT VERSE 9: "HE ALSO TOLD THIS PARABLE TO SOME PEOPLE

WHO TRUSTED IN THEMSELVES AND WERE CONFIDENT THAT THEY

WERE RIGHTEOUS [THAT THEY WERE UPRIGHT AND IN RIGHT STANDING

WITH GOD] AND SCORNED AND MADE NOTHING OF THE REST OF MEN:

'TWO MEN WENT UP INTO A TEMPLE TO PRAY, ONE A PHARISEE,'"

A RELIGIOUS MAN, "AND THE OTHER A TAX COLLECTOR.

AND THE PHARISEE TOOK HIS STAND OSTENTATIOUSLY," WHICH IS A BIG

WORD, BUT IT BASICALLY MEANS HE HAD THIS POSTURE

AND ATTITUDE THAT SAID, "I AM SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU ARE."

"AND HE BEGAN TO PRAY THUS BEFORE AND WITH HIMSELF."

I LOVE THAT.

HE WASN'T EVEN TALKIN' TO GOD.

HE WAS JUST TALKIN' TO LISTEN TO HIMSELF SO HE COULD IMPRESS

HIMSELF.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND DON'T THINK YOU DON'T EVER DO THAT.

I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHEN I'M UP HERE PRAYING THAT I DON'T

JUST TRY TO SOUND IN A WAY THAT'S GONNA IMPRESS YOU,

BUT THAT I'M ACTUALLY TALKING TO GOD.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: "THANK YOU THAT I'M NOT LIKE THE REST OF MEN--"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "EXTORTIONERS (ROBBERS), SWINDLERS

[UNRIGHTEOUS IN HEART AND LIFE]--AND THANK YOU

ESPECIALLY THAT I'M LIKE THIS TAX COLLECTOR."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "'LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I DO, GOD.

I FAST TWICE A WEEK; AND I GIVE A TITHE OF ALL THAT I GAIN.'

BUT NOW THERE'S THIS COLLECTOR WHO'S STANDING HERE."

AND IT SAYS, "HE WOULDN'T EVEN LIFT UP HIS EYES TO HEAVEN,

BUT HE KEPT STRIKING HIS BREAST, AND SAYING, 'O GOD, (BE

GRACIOUS, BE MERCIFUL) TO ME, BECAUSE I AM

AN ESPECIALLY WICKED SINNER!' I TELL YOU, THIS MAN WENT DOWN

TO HIS HOME JUSTIFIED (FORGIVEN AND MADE UPRIGHT AND IN RIGHT

STANDING WITH GOD]"

SO THAT THE GUY WHO SAID, "GOD, I'M A SINNER, I NEED MERCY," GOT

MERCY FROM GOD, AND HE WENT HOME JUSTIFIED AND IN RIGHT STANDING

WITH GOD.

BUT THE GUY WHO THOUGHT THAT HE WAS SO GOOD AND BETTER

THAN EVERYBODY ESE, HE LOST OUT ON EVERYTHING.

WE GOTTA BE CAREFUL THAT WE DON'T THINK MORE HIGHLY

OF OURSELVES THAN WE OUGHT TO.

WHAT ABOUT THE 12 DISCIPLES?

BOY, THE 12 GUYS THAT JESUS PICKED,

AND IT WASN'T EVEN AN ACCIDENT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HE PRAYED ALL NIGHT BEFORE HE GOT THEM, ALL NIGHT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: LET ME READ YOU SOMETHIN' THAT I THINK IS CUTE

AND MAKES THE POINT.

I CAN TELL YA ONE THING.

I WOULDN'T HAVE PICKED SOME OF THE PEOPLE HE PICKED.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: THIS LETTER IS TO JESUS FROM THE JORDAN

MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT FIRM IN JERUSALEM: "DEAR SIR,

THANK YOU FOR SUBMITTING THE RESUMES OF THE TWELVE MEN

YOU'VE PICKED FOR YOUR NEW MANAGEMENT POSITIONS

IN YOUR NEW ORGANIZATION.

ALL OF THEM HAVE NOW TAKEN OUR BATTERY OF TESTS, AND EACH

OF THEM HAS HAD A PERSONAL INTERVIEW WITH OUR PSYCHOLOGISTS

AND VOCATIONAL APTITUDE CONSULTANTS.

IT IS THE STAFF'S OPINION THAT MOST OF YOUR NOMINEES

ARE LACKING IN BACKGROUND, EDUCATION,

AND VOCATIONAL APTITUDE FOR THE TYPE OF ENTERPRISE

THAT YOU'RE UNDERTAKING.

THEY DON'T HAVE A TEAM CONCEPT.

WE WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR PERSONS

OF EXPERIENCE IN MANAGERIAL ABILITY AND PROVEN CAPABILITY.

SIMON PETER IS EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE AND GIVEN

TO FITS OF TEMPER."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HEY, YOU KNOW WHAT THE GOOD NEWS IS HERE TODAY?

GOD CAN USE YOU.

EVEN THOUGH YOU'LL ALWAYS LACK IN ONE THING, GOD CAN USE YOU.

AND NOT ONLY CAN HE USE YOU, HE'S LIKELY TO PICK YOU

ON PURPOSE JUST TO AGGRAVATE THE REST OF THE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

WHO THINK THAT THEY SHOULD BE THE ONES THAT GET CHOSEN,

COME ON.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I CAN TELL YA THE TRUTH, I JUST MAKE PEOPLE

REALLY MAD.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, LIKE, THE REAL RELIGIOUS PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOT

ALL THE SO-CALLED "SCHOOLING," AND THEY'VE BEEN TO EVERY KIND

OF SEMINARY AND SEMINAR AND ON AND ON AND ON, AND IT'S

LIKE, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: "THE WEAK AND THE FOOLISH THINGS

OF THE WORLD TO CONFOUND THE WISE."

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS GET YOUR EYES OFF WHAT HE'S DOIN'

FOR EVERYBODY ELSE,

HUMBLE YOURSELF UNDER THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD, GO TO HIM, AND SAY,

"I AM NOTHING WITHOUT YOU.

I DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING.

BUT, GOD, IF YOU'LL GIVE ME AN ASSIGNMENT AND HELP ME DO IT,

I'LL DO MY BEST TO BE FAITHFUL TO WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO."

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: OKAY, "SIMON PETER'S EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE,

AND HE HAS TEMPER FITS.

ANDREW HAS NO QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP.

JAMES AND JOHN PLACE PERSONAL INTEREST ABOVE COMPANY LOYALTY.

THOMAS DEMONSTRATES A QUESTIONING ATTITUDE

THAT WILL UNDERMINE THE MORALE OF THE WHOLE TEAM.

WE FEEL IT IS OUR DUTY TO TELL YOU THAT MATTHEW,"

WHO WAS A TAX COLLECTOR, "HAS BEEN BLACKLISTED

BY THE GREATER JERUSALEM BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO WHAT?"

OH, I REMEMBER, PEOPLE THOUGHT I HAD LOST MY MIND WHEN I TOLD

THEM WHAT I BELIEVED GOD HAD PUT IN MY HEART THAT I WAS GONNA DO.

I'LL NEVER FORGET A GROUP OF LADY FRIENDS OF MINE SAYING,

"YOU KNOW, WE'VE BEEN TALKIN' ABOUT THIS."

AND I THOUGHT, "YEAH, I BET YOU HAVE."

"WE'VE BEEN TALKIN' ABOUT THIS."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID TO ME, HONESTLY:

"WITH YOUR PERSONALITY, WE JUST DON'T SEE HOW

THAT'S POSSIBLE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: COME ON, LISTEN, WHEN GOD CALLS YOU, DON'T EXPECT

TO GET A LOT OF ENCOURAGEMENT FROM ALL THE PEOPLE

THAT YOU KNOW.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: BECAUSE THEY'RE GONNA LOOK AT YOUR EXTERIOR,

BUT GOD SEES YOUR HEART, AMEN?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: "JAMES HAS DEFINITE RADICAL LEANINGS, AND HE

AND SOME OF THE OTHERS REGISTER A HIGH SCORE

ON THE MANIC-DEPRESSIVE SCALE."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "THERE IS, HOWEVER, ONE OF YOUR CANDIDATES

THAT SHOWS GREAT POTENTIAL.

HE'S A MAN OF ABILITY AND RESOURCEFULNESS,

MEETS PEOPLE WELL, HAS A KEEN BUSINESS MIND,

HAS CONTACTS IN HIGH PLACES, IS HIGHLY MOTIVATED, AMBITIOUS,

AND RESPONSIBLE.

THE ONLY ONE OF THE 12 THAT WE CAN RECOMMEND IS JUDAS."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: SEE, WE LIVE IN THIS UPSIDE-DOWN KINGDOM

THAT'S ACTUALLY RIGHT-SIDE UP, BUT THE WORLD DOESN'T KNOW

IT'S RIGHT-SIDE UP.

SO THEY LOOK AT US AND THINK, "THAT MAKES NO SENSE.

WHY WOULD GOD USE YOU?

WHY WOULD YOU GIVE AWAY SOME OF YOUR MONEY, THINKING

THAT'S GONNA GET YOU MORE?

WHY WOULD YOU EVER THINK THE LAST'LL BE FIRST

AND THE FIRST'LL BE LAST?

AND WHAT SENSE DOES IT MAKE IF SOMEBODY WHO GOES TO WORK

AN HOUR BEFORE QUITTING TIME MAKES AS MUCH AS THE GUY

WHO WORKED ALL DAY?" WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT?

GOD JUST LOVES TO GET US GOIN'.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT?"

WHAT GOD DOES WITH ANYBODY ELSE IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS.

IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

JESUS SAYS, "YOU FOLLOW ME."

HOW MANY OF YOU THINK THIS WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE

A LOT OF BETTER IF YOU JUST--?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, ONCE AGAIN, LOOK AT MY HUSBAND.

YOU ARE NOT GONNA FIND A HUMAN BEING

THAT IS HAPPIER THAN DAVE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: LIFE IS SO SIMPLE FOR HIM.

I MEAN, STILL, AFTER 50 YEARS OF BEIN' MARRIED TO HIM,

SOMETIMES IT JUST ANNOYS ME THAT THINGS ARE SO--IT'S NOT

THAT I WANT LIFE TO BE HARD FOR HIM, BUT IT'S LIKE HE

JUST, LIKE, HE'S JUST HAPPY.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HE'S JUST REALLY HAPPY, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?

THAT'S WHAT GOD TOLD HIM 40-SOME-ODD YEARS AGO WHEN HE

CALLED ME TO PREACH.

"YOU LET HER DO WHAT I'VE CALLED HER TO DO, AND YOU DO

WHAT I'M ASKING YOU TO DO, AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE HAPPY.

YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE JOY."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I THINK IT'S TIME THAT WE SET ABOUT JUST DOIN'

THE PART THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US TO DO.

LET ME TELL YA SOMETHIN'.

DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHER PEOPLE, NOT THE WAY

YOU LOOK, NOT YOUR GIFTS AND TALENTS, NOT WHAT GOD CALLS

YOU TO DO.

LET'S CENTER IN ON TRUSTING GOD TO TAKE CARE OF EACH ONE OF US

WITHOUT COMPARING OURSELVES WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND SAYING,

"WELL, WHY AM I NOT GETTING WHAT THEY'RE GETTING?"

DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER THINK THAT BECAUSE YOU PRAY REGULARLY,

AND YOU GO TO CHURCH REGULARLY, AND YOU TITHE REGULARLY,

AND YOU TRY TO BE A GOOD PERSON THAT THAT MEANS THAT YOU DESERVE

ANYTHING.

BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW GOOD WE ARE, WE ALWAYS STILL LACK

ONE THING EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR LIFE.

AND THANK GOD THAT WE DO BECAUSE IF WE DIDN'T, IT WOULDN'T BE

VERY LONG AND WE WOULD NOT THINK THAT WE NEEDED JESUS.

AND I'LL TELL YA ONE THING.

WE NEED HIM AND WE NEED HIM DESPERATELY, AMEN?

COME ON, GIVE GOD A BIG PRAISE.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: WELL, I BELIEVE THAT WE ALL HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT

FROM GOD, SOMETHING THAT HE HAS GIVEN US THE GRACE

AND THE ABILITY TO DO.

AND, YOU KNOW, I'VE DISCOVERED FROM MY OWN LIFE AND FROM TRYING

TO HELP A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT IF WE'RE NOT DOING WHAT GOD

HAS ASSIGNED US TO DO, WE REALLY JUST END UP

NOT VERY HAPPY.

WE DON'T FEEL FULFILLED.

AND SO I WANNA ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

TO DO WITHOUT COMPARING WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO SOMEBODY ELSE.

THAT'S ONE OF THE BIG THINGS THAT MAKES PEOPLE UNHAPPY.

THEY FEEL LIKE THAT IF WHAT THEY'RE DOING DOESN'T SEEM TO BE

AS BIG OR AS GRAND AS WHAT SOMEBODY ELSE IS DOING,

THAT IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

BUT BY KEEPING YOUR FOCUS ON GOD, YOU WILL BE BLESSED

AND GOD WILL ALWAYS MEET YOUR NEEDS.

Are You An INTJ or an ISTJ? Clarifying a Common Mistype - Duration: 6:03.

The obvious main difference between an ISTJ and an INTJ is definitely in its main function,

which is sensing function (Si) and intuition function (Ni).

However, does not mean that it is easy to tell them apart?

It turns out, it is not that simple.

For starter, both ISTJs and INTJs are very good at organizing things, streamlining, and

logical thinking.

They have so many similarities that sometimes made us difficult to tell them apart, but

we will discover everything about ISTJ and INTJ through this short video.

As I said before, ISTJs are primary Si users, means they tend to work with information that

they consider to be reliable.

To some extent, that is true of everyone, but for the ISTJ, it is particularly emphasized.

For ISTJs, facts are easily validated than ideas, so they will focus on pursuing them

instead of abstract concepts.

On the other hand, INTJs are primary Ni user, means they tend to focus more on ideas and

possibilities compared to ISTJ.

For INTJs, a new concept and ideas are more interesting to them than just another fact,

because they can explore more to that ideas.

INTJs are frequently marked by a desire to turn the theoretical and untested into a workable

reality.

Be it as it may, here's several things that make ISTJ and INTJ completely different.

Please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to know the complete

information.

Are You An INTJ or an ISTJ?

Clarifying a Common Mistype.

#1 - Si and Ni dominance.

The dominant Si actually makes ISTJs obedient to rules, regulations, and patterns that they

believe to work for themselves.

They really respect the structure as long as it is made by authority or expert.

Meanwhile, the dominant Ni of INTJ finds the meaning from their own observation.

They find the significance based on their intuition and they can decipher the pattern

on how this world works.

While working in their magic, sometimes they do not realize that they are accessing their

subconscious thought.

We see them quite often when they are fading out.

#2 - Se and Ne Inferior.

INTJ has inferior Se which makes them unable to have fun with thrilling experience.

They tend to think that impulsive and thrill seeking behavior are meaningless.

They also do not care too much about the world which makes their life rather boring.

ISTJs, however, are thinker but they do not like theorizing things.

It is due to the fact that ISTJ are stricter to the rules and this somehow limits the way

they think.

#3 - Problem solving process.

INTJ is actually more capable in problem solving situation.

The reason is because they are open to new ideas and suggestions.

Meanwhile, ISTJs do not want to experiment because they only stick to proven strategy

for solving particular problem.

Some people may see this as disadvantage of being an ISTJ.

However, it is not totally true.

ISTJ can see details better than INTJ, and it also allows ISTJ to think whether particular

problem can be solved with the usual method.

According to Lana Shapiro, an OPP Certified MBTI Coach, INTJ personality is about change

while the ISTJ personality is about best practice and benchmarks.

INTJ likes to invent or improve things, while ISTJ likes to research things first not to

reinvent the wheel but rather apply the best solution possible.

Basically, INTJ believe everything can be improved, while ISTJ believe almost everything

is invented or implemented somewhere by somebody and thus should be properly researched first.

INTJ enjoys getting things started and of course enjoys the closure, but the process

of implementing itself is not as thrilling as figuring out on how to implement.

While ISTJ enjoys the process of implementation itself with all of it: ups and downs, control,

feedback, plan updates due to incoming data and of course big closure at the end.

ISTJ love to work, without this passion many plans just stayed plans.

Well, those are the key differences between ISTJ and INTJ personality type.

Basically, both personality is great as it is.

When working together as a team, INTJ and ISTP will makes an excellent team.

If they are on the opposite sides, they have the power to bring up the shadow of each into

the play, making each other rigid.

ISTJ would become conservative, and INTJ become rebellious, and these people would clash really

hard just because of the 'N' and 'S' difference.

Top 11 Horror games like Alien Isolation - Duration: 11:44.

Hello, greetings from Eastern Europe, my name is ColdBeerHD and this time I will talk about

games like Alien Isolation.

Those games are dark, scary and usually will leave you weaponless against terrible monsters.

Let's begin and if you need, please feel free to turn on the subtitles.

Soma

An abandoned isolated underwater facility full of scary things where you must find a

way out.

Or even deeper in.

You don't know.

That's the joy!

It's really hard to talk about Soma without spoiling the story, but the plot is really

original and not only brightens up your imagination about the future, but also raises philosophical

questions, like what makes us human, what life is, what exactly defines existence in

general, and why is vodka so cheap in Lidl.

Ok, maybe not the last one, but, all in all, this is one of the best scary story games

I ever played.

Amnesia The dark descent You probably have heard about this one, cause

it already became a classic of this genre.

In Amnesia the Dark Descent you wake up in a medieval castle full of secrets and... monsters.

You have to go deeper and deeper into the dungeon and stay sane.

Not only in real life, cause the game is really scary, but also in gameplay, because sanity

is basically your health here.

If you stay too long in a darkness, without any light, you start to suffer symptoms of

madness and later you die.

And if you encounter a monster - you must hide in the darkest place possible.

Comrade, you just said that darkness will kill you.

Yeah, that's the thing.

Darkness will kill you and monsters will kill you too.

Best thing is, that you can't look at the monsters.

If you look at them they will see you and they will definitely kill you.

So if you think that monster is behind you, you better do not turn and look.

That's what is making this game really scary.

Alien Isolation drew a lot of it's mechanics from this game, so this might be a perfect

game for you.

Tartarus

This is an indie game with all the indie game problems.

In example there are few characters in this game and it seems that they are all voiced

by the same dude.

Don't get me wrong, that dude is really good, though sometimes you can hear similar

notes in those voices.

Also some textures have low resolution, and some puzzles are too easy, so you can get

no satisfaction from solving them.

And some of the players are not satisfied with an ending.

But… the game has that Alien Isolation feeling.

Here you have to restart Mining and Research vessel Tartarus which is slowly crashing into

Neptune.

While doing that you might encounter something alienish.

So atmosphere is great and story is also great.

Game has mixed reviews on Steam, because of a problems I mentioned before.

So put it in your list and wait for a sale.

Amnesia The Machine for Pigs

This is another game in Amnesia series, not as famous as the Dark Descent and arguably

not as good, but it is definitely a great game.

Though it's a short one, it will take about a three hours to beat, but you probably will

enjoy the story anyway.

If you like to read, because you will have to read a lot of different documents in order

to understand the story.

Some say that this game is less scary than The Dark Descent, but if you're easily frightened,

this game will raise the horror inside you no matter what others think.

It's like when someone says to me "Hey look at this cute spider", and I'm like

"Where?"

"Oh, don't worry, it's on your shoulder".

And then you would see how I perform the weirdest epileptic seizure inspired dance.

So it's the same with The Machine for Pigs.

If you're easily scared, the game will definitely scare you.

Do I recommend buying it?

Well, yes.

When it's on sale.

Layers of fear

Here you will assume a role of a painter who is trying to finish his masterpiece, but as

he begins to paint, he starts having hallucinations and so it begins…

This game is grounded on problems we usually have in Eastern Europe.

Like loneliness, alcoholism and divorce.

Or divorce... because of your alcoholism.

Or because you had no alcoholism, but your alcoholic wife slept with Oleg from work.

And with Dariusz and with Gintaras and with plumber Roman who never fixed your leaking

pipes by the way.

He just leaked his pipe into your wife, so you have a kid now which is not even your

kid.

She slept with all of them while being drunk, and then she divorced you and left to India

with a hadnsome indian guy.

And now it is you who have alcoholism.

Also you are paying her alimonies for the kid who is not even your kid, but you don't

know that.

Ok, maybe I created this story which is not related to this game, but if exactly that

happened to you, you will find this game very very entertaining.

But if you are playing this game for a true scary horror experience then you will be a

bit disappointed.

Game has a few scary elements, especially jump scares and atmosphere of unknown is shimmering

in the air, but overall game is more of a story teller rather than a horror game.

But it has beautiful visuals and amazing soundtrack, so give it a try.

Routine

This game is different from all the others in this list.

And that's because it may be never released.

Comrade, so why are you talking about it?

Have you drank too much vodka already?

No.

There is no such thing as too much vodka.

I'm talking about it because while making this list I found a footage of this gameplay

and I was truly amazed.

Dark and scary spaceship left me breathless.

And at the end of this video I saw a release date: it was March of 2017.

Sadly, that's a year and a half ago, and game was not released.

I went to the developers site and found an article where they apologised for not releasing

a game on time.

And then they went silent.

Like completely silent, that apology was the last thing that happened to that official

site of theirs.

No news from that point whatsoever.

So I searched for an information elsewhere and found out that developer had some personal

issues.

Probably with that alcoholic wife and plumber Roman.

And he stated, that Routine is still in development and… yeah, that's it: don't get your

hopes up.

So, when and if this game will be ever released, you will be the first to know, I promise.

Penumbra

Penumbra Overture is one of the first games developed by Frictional Games, the same studio

that created Amnesia.

Launched in 2006 as a free demo, due to very low budget, Penumbra Overture became a hit

afterwards.

Although, they released some more episodes from Penumbra series later on, I think that

the first one is still the best one.

Its spooky settings and a dark tone gets under your skin from the first minutes of the game.

Here you will search for your presumably dead father, who wrote a letter to you.

Maybe he is not so dead after all.

So you take some canned šprotai, because you want to be strong, several bottles of

vodka, and travel to Greenland to begin your search.

Games engine is outdated and graphics are quite lame, but you will not notice that while

playing, because Penumbra is really immersive and has a great story.

Dead Space

Alright, here you are not some defenseless shmuck like in the other games I mentioned.

Here you can fight.

Holy guacamole you can do that in style!

Here you are quite powerful, probably the most dangerous thing in this space station

overran by necromorphs.

Game is scary.

Really scary at first, but later, when you start getting used of numerous attacks from

above, from below, from vents, from… everywhere, to be exact, then you get into this routine,

and game is not that scary anymore.

It has Alien Isolation feeling, just instead of scaring xenomorph with a flamethrower,

you can shoot the brains out of every necromorph you encounter.

If you never played Dead Space series, you just have to.

Those games are great!

System Shock

I'm talking about System Shock's remake in Unreal engine that is being in development

by Nightdive Studios.

A year ago they announced that they are making a remake of old System Shock 1 and they are

faithful to their task, they tend to update on the progress and live stream the creation

process.

According to Nighdive studios, game will be released this year.

Like in Alien Isolation, here is everything about survival on a spacecraft, where your

crew turned into a bunch of mutated montrosities.

Actually that whole thing is reminding me of androids in Nostromo.

I really look forward to this game, because I never played original System Shock and now

it's a bit hard to get used to those oldschool graphics.

Anyway according to players it was one of the greatest games and it will be reborn again!

Outlast

This first person horror game became a classic soon after the release.

Here you are no fighter, if you encounter a horror, you have only three options: run

or hide or die.

This definitely is one of the scariest games I ever played.

It has a good story, nice ending and more jump scares that you can possibly imagine.

If you have a weak heart, like I do, it would be even more fun.

Second part – Outlast II – is also great, but it is set in totally different place.

While in a first Outlast you explore terrifying asylum, in second part your helicopter crashes

near village full of crazy people.

Sometimes I think that this game is an Eastern Europe after 10pm simulator.

Monstrum

Monstrum takes the traditional survival horror formula and remixes it completely with procedurally

generated levels, permadeath, and AI driven predators, ensuring that nowhere on its derelict

cargo ship is ever truly safe.

Yes, you are on the ship, real ship, not spaceship.

And here you are not alone.

If you get killed – that's it.

You have to start the game again and escape from different monster in another ship.

Most people are saying that the game is really scary, some say that they have even fainted.

That is really cool, so that means that you have to have a big balls to play this game.

So, as you can see, game is really fun.

Give it a try, let's see how long can you survive.

That's it.

Samsung Galaxy - 5 Cool Features I Love - Duration: 4:15.

Hi guys, how's it going? It's Thao! Today's video I'll be going over five cool

futures that I actually use on my samsung galaxy s 9. Let's be honest, the

S9 came with some fairly gimmicky features such as the AR emoji, AR

makeup and bixby. Bixby I love you! If I had cheeks, I'd blush. AR emoji just got crushed by

Apple's memoji! I had high hopes for AR makeup since I'm bit of a makeup junkie,

but they haven't updated at all with any more products and sorry bixby, I gave

you a chance and I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Don't get me wrong, I love

the S 9 and the features I'll be going over are some of the top reasons why.

Anyways, let's get right into them. The first one is a little gimmicky but it

just looks so awesome! It's the lockscreen video. This is the

ultimate way to customize your phone to ensure that no one else has anything

like it. Anytime someone sees my lockscreen they are immediately

impressed by it. It's a great conversation starter also. The setup is

fairly easy, just go to your gallery and pick a video then click on the three

dots in the top right corner and select set as wallpaper. You're allowed to use

up to 15 seconds of video. If the video you selected is longer than 15 seconds

you'll have to edit it. Just drag the slider to the portion of the video that

you want to use and voila! You now have a locked screen video. Checking the weather

first thing in the morning before we head out it something I'm sure we all do. The S9 has has a feature called

Bixby briefing. This is the only Bixby feature that I actually use, otherwise I

have this bixby completely disabled. Once you toggle this on, the moment your

phone's alarm clock goes off, it plays a sound effect and tune based on the

weather and then reads the weather out loud. Here's an example: Hi there, it's

currently 7:40 p.m. Looks like it'll be a cloudy day with a high of 27 degrees

Celsius, have a good one. Now I know what the weather is like outside the moment

I'm woken up and before I even touch my phone. This leaves me more time to pick

out the perfect outfit. Samsung has a built-in theme store that allows you to

change things like your phone's wallpaper, icons and always-on display.

You can select from various themes that are pre-made

and change up individual components. I've been playing what different themes

but I haven't found one that's better than the stock one, I actually like the

look of the stock Samsung theme and icons. To access the theme store, just go

to settings and then click on wallpapers and themes. Browsing and trying out the

various themes is quite addictive and new themes are constantly being added. If

you have any recommendations for a theme, please let me know in the comment

section down below. Definitely check out the Samsung themes

store if you're into constantly changing the look of your phone. App pair is a

feature that allows you to open directly into a multi window session with two

apps of your choosing. This is a crazy multitasking tool, especially if you're

always using two apps at the same time like me. I wish I could actually have app

pair shortcuts on my home screen. But you can only set them up on the apps edge

screen. A great example of how I use this is with Google Maps and Spotify. The

moment I get in my car I just click on the app pair, resize the windows to my

liking and then pop it into my car mount. Now I can easily skip songs in my

playlist without exiting Google Maps. I have quite a few useful app pairs that I

can cover in another video, if you guys interested, let me know! Having a

calculator readily available for me is vital for both work and everyday life.

With the calculator edge panel I'm only a few swipes away. The best part is that

I don't even have to exit out of the app I'm in. In the past, if I was on my phone

and need to do a quick calculation I would have to exit out my current app

and then open up the calculator then navigate back to my previous app. Trust

me when I say this has saved me a ton of time over the past few months that I've

owned the phone. It may seem minor but when you do it as often as I do, it adds

up. It even works on the lock screen. You can just activate the screen and then

swipe in to do a quick calculation. Well there you have it, my top 5 cool

features that I actually use on my samsung galaxy s 9. Drop a like if you

found the video entertaining, I would really appreciate the support. Don't

forget to subscribe if you don't want to miss any future content for me! Until the

next one, peace. Bye!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - S03E16 - Episode Review - Duration: 9:27.

Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power

Rangers and then discuss it!

Today, we're exploring the hundred and twenty eighth episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

as well as the sixteenth episode of Season 3, titled "I'm Dreaming of a White Ranger".

Welcome to Christmas everyone.

We start at the Youth Center where Aisha is directly a bunch of kids singing while Kimberly

plays along on the guitar.

They're singing "we wish you a merry christmas", and we see that there are a surprising amount

of extras here doing activities and whatnot.

The kids are done singing, and we see that the four other Rangers walk up.

Billy mentions that this is for underprivileged kids so that they have a place to spend Christmas.

Ernie then comes up, giving Tommy the star to go on top of the Christmas tree, and he

sees a young girl sitting alone, clearly depressed.

Then, Tommy looks sad like he's upset that he had to do what he's about to because

only he should be able to put the star up.

Seriously, his face says "this little bitch is about to steal my thunder".

He walks over, talking to the girl.

She says she can't reach up to the top of the tree, and Tommy says it's no problem,

and he lifts her up, helping her put the star on the tree.

Meanwhile, Kim is sad because it's the first Christmas she's ever spent without her mom,

and Aisha understands.

Also, Kim says that's she grateful for Aisha and Tommy, which makes me laugh because she

acts as if she doesn't like everyone else then.

Aisha tells her that it's going to be okay, walking away with her before Bulk and Skull

come in while Skull is screaming a Christmas carol.

Bulk is in a bad mood because he has to play Santa Claus for a bunch of drooling children.

Tommy helps Kim put up the mistletoe, and just as they're about to kiss, Bulk and

Skull walk through with Skull kissing Kim on the cheek.

Can you tell these episodes were aired out of the originally intended order?

Then Bulk looks like he's having trouble deciding whether or not he wants to kiss Tommy,

but instead, he leaves.

On the moon, Zedd is pissed about Christmas because he's basically a Scrooge.

Rita tells him to shut up because he says it every year, and Zedd has a good point,

she has no idea since they've only been married a year.

Then, Zedd shows his toy that he wants to be given to the children of the world via

Santa: the evil hypno-spin.

Yeah, Zedd is literally starting a war on Christmas with an evil dreidel.

Was there no one in the writer's room that thought this was an absolutely terrible, potentially

anti-semitic idea?

Zedd sends Rito down to the North Pole with the toy to make the elves start working on

them right away before he shakes his head at the camera.

Weird.

Meanwhile, the children are singing "O Hanukkah", and we see that girl is still sad.

And Aisha slyly tells her to stop being such a downer.

They're done, and all the kids leave.

Also, they keep hugging Aisha which makes no sense, but I think the real reason is that

these kids were really excited to meet an actor on Power Rangers, so they got a hug

while they could.

Turns out, this girl who we're supposed to care about is named Becky, and Aisha asks

her why she doesn't sing.

She then asks if she likes the song, which would be super problematics if she said "no,

I don't" because it's the most Jewish song ever.

Instead, she explains that no one is going to be there to hear her sing, and she walks

away.

Meanwhile, in the North Pole, Santa and the Elves are stressed about their toy production

schedule.

Also, all these Elves are being played by little people.

This seems so wrong.

Then, Rito shows up, letting Santa know that they're going to start making evil dreidels,

and an elf who is only referred to as "number one" tries to stand up to Rito, but yeah,

she backs down after Rito yells a bit.

Outside, Kimberly meets up with Becky, who explains that she's bummed because her dad

won't be there tonight to see her sing because he has to work.

That's legitimate.

Kim explains that her dad works so hard so that she can be happy, and she suggests that

she tells her dad how she feels because he can't do anything without knowing.

They go back inside, and they meet up with Tommy under the mistletoe, and just as they're

about to kiss, their communicators go off.

All six meet up, teleporting out of there.

In the Command Center, WE'RE DECORATED FOR CHRISTMAS!!

I imagine Alpha got super bored one day, but let's be honest, this is not efficient whatsoever

when it comes to pushing buttons and whatnot.

Zordon tells them about Zedd's evil toy, and Zordon says that it's unlike any they've

ever seen.

Thanks, Zordon.

Glad you're wiping out the whole of Jewish tradition in a single sentence.

Alpha explains that there's an extra complication as well before Zordon just hijacks the conversation

to say that their morphin' powers won't work in the North Pole because of a crosscurrent

of holiday magic?

I mean, come on, this show has made up some bad excuses before, but wow.

Alpha can teleport them there, but they won't be able to defend themselves.

Alpha then teleports them out, landing outside of Santa's village.

They sneak up to the main cabin, and they see that Rito is harassing the elves, and

Santa is hogtied with tinsel and a bow?

Shit's getting kinky.

The rangers say they have to think of something to stop him.

Zedd sees that they've arrived, and he tells Goldar to go down and handle this so that

his plan doesn't get thwarted.

Meanwhile, Bulk and Skull are about to eat donuts before Becky comes up, telling them

that she can't find Kimberly.

They don't think that she'd flake out before they just ignore her issue and walk

away so Bulk can dress as Santa.

At the north pole, Billy suggests that since their powers don't worry, the villains'

powers won't work either, which is fine logic except for if you get impaled with a

giant bone sword.

Whatever, they have some sort of plan.

In the workshop, Kim and Aisha have somehow snuck in, and Kim gets the attention of number

one for runs over to them.

They tell her that they have a plan.

Then, Rito in a Santa hat sees Kim and Aisha, and he's led outside by them with Tengas.

Then, Tommy comes out from behind a tree, and Rito tries to fire at them, but they short

out.

That was pure luck, guys.

Goldar then appears, and they're pummeled with snowballs by the Rangers because this

episode is lame as hell.

Then, Goldar and Rito and the Tengas get home aloned by the elves by being tripped onto

the ground and then tying them up?

Alpha then teleports them out of there, but Number One is still worried because they're

now way behind schedule because they need a miracle to get everything done.

Billy suggests the Rangers help Santa and the elves.

This episode is so terrible.

Meanwhile, Rita and Zedd are screaming at one another about yet another failed plan.

Then, we see the Rangers running around with the elves and Santa, loading up presents.

Santa thanks the Power Rangers, saying that Christmas is saved thanks to them.

He also still has Zedd's toys, and he gives Tommy a special sack for the party.

The Rangers head out, and we see that Zedd and Rita got their evil dreidels back.

Also, Rito has gotten Goldar a present, and it's nice to see that Rito actually like

Goldar.

We never see what it is, but it's still nice.

Bulk is dressed as Santa in the Youth Center, and Skull, as a reindeer brings him a child

who starts to read off of a long list.

Then, the teens show up, and they're handing out their presents.

Kim walks over to Becky before saying that someone else is here for her, and Becky's

dad is there!

And he plans to spend more time with her.

She's obviously happy, so she runs over to Santa/Bulk, sitting on his lap.

She thanks him for bringing her dad home, and she kisses him on the cheek.

This clearly melts Bulk's heart while Skull cries.

Finally, Kim and Tommy get to kiss for second time ever.

Then, Kim's mom and French painter husband to be come in, and she says they took a last

minute flight from France?

Don't think that's a thing, but okay.

The children sing "Holy Night" with Aisha directly them, and we get a really long shot

of just Becky singing?

Also, Kim is playing the guitar, but there's literally no guitar in this song.

What is she doing?

We also get awkward shots of pretty much everyone's face before they break the fourth wall, yelling

, screaming "Merry Christmas" at the audience via the TV screen.

Over the credits, we see Number One explaining to Rito how holiday spirit exists or something.

I don't know.

Whatever.

This episode is a cringe worthy classic.

Seriously, I watch this episode every December because it's so terrible.

It's a very unique episode of Power Rangers, especially in their era of the show, because

there's no Japanese footage, and no one even morphs.

In fact, there's not a whole lot that happened during this episode at all, but it's still

entertainingly bad a bit.

There's a lot of weird trivia to discuss with this episode as well.

Firstly, it was originally released as VHS exclusive episode in September of 1995.

Timely, I know.

It wouldn't air on November on TV, but what's weirder is that the VHS, which was released

around the time of the Ninja Quest Part III, includes a spoilerific deleted scene in it.

Just before the Rangers are teleported to the North Pole by Alpha, Zordon tells them

that they have a message from someone special on the viewing globe: an unnamed girl who

apologizes that she can't be with them because she's at home visiting family in Australia.

Who is she?

Well, stick around until next episode where we meet her, but honestly, this scene makes

the placement of this episode really hard.

It's impossible to tell who this girl is to the Rangers or why certain people are around

during this episode.

Just… weird overall.

Other than that, let's also not skip over the fact that Jason David Frank, the actor

who plays Tommy, has said before at conventions, that there's an outtake of the mistletoe

scene where he hung it on his belt, telling Kim "look!" to insult that she should

kiss it.

Apparently, Amy Jo Johnson laughed really hard at this, but let's be real, we're

never going to see that outtake ever surface.

So, as I said, next episode introduces someone new, but who is she exactly?

Find out next time, but until then, may the power protect you!

Essential Equipment for Wild Boar Hunting in Hungary - Duration: 15:26.

I'm Ian Harford and I'm Steve Wild and we're about to embark on our epic wild

boar hunting adventure to Hungary. But, before we get set up and go which I'd

like to run through the equipment that were going to be using on this trip give

you an idea of what we're taking with us and hopefully what's going to help us

stay, warm, dry and comfortable on a pretty cold trip. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be cold.

So, we've got to be prepared, haven't we? Yes we do. So, here's what we've got

starting at the beginning, underwear, I tend to wear sports underwear man-made

fibres, lightweight, stretchy, breathable and with wicking properties so even

though we're gonna be sitting around in high seats we still need to make sure

that any moisture that does accumulate for to warm has transported away from

the skin how's the opportunity of being dissipated. So, we have shorts underwear and

also have long johns they'll go underneath my bib overalls, which come

on to in a second. Socks we're going to be doing two different types of hunting

in Hungary. We're going to be stalking and high seating on the first day

hopefully from mouflon or a wild boar or whatever might come along and then the

driven hunting itself which is a lot more static a lot of sitting a lot of

waiting. So, depending on what we're gonna be doing I've got line of socks and then

lightweight merino socks which will be good for stalking cuz there's a lot more

she would say ballistic type movement, bloods always moving and then if we sat

down for the wild boar hunting itself I have some heavier weight thermal socks

and some waterproof seal skin socks. So, that starts down at the bottom then we

have two different types of clothing. I have my hunting layering system,

traditional layering system from Deerhunter. Now, that starts with a Greenic at

base layer, man-made brushed fabric nice and warm

great for transporting and wicking away. Moisture done by insulating fleece layer,

thin, tightly fitting fleece. Zip-up jacket and then that will go underneath

my Deerhunter Muflon hunting suit. Depending on how cold it is I might also

put this Cumberland quilted vest or the Cumberland quilted jacket I have here

with the arms as well so when coupled with the Muflon suit that'll pretty

much keep you comfortable down to minus 20 minus 30. We're hoping it's not going to

gonna get, don't want it that cold, nobody wants of that cold. In addition to

that we have our kind of camp or lodge type clothing.

So I have a couple of pairs of lightweight trousers Deerhunter Strike and Deerhunter

Lofton trekking trousers. Cotton nice and relaxed and comfortable but warm.

Deerhunter bambooshire here which is good for keeping you cool it's great wicking

properties. Through to the heavier weight brushed cotton shirts which would good

have great insulating properties. Also, I have a jumper or sweater and the Deerhunter

retrieve fiber power jacket. Really good.

That's pretty warm, so we're gonna be nice and warm out in the field a nice

and warm when we come back to the lodge. It's really critical that when you have

been out in the field and you've been active and you might have picked up some

sweat during the day whether you're sat down or you're walking you give you

clothes time to dry so change out of your hunting clothes get those all

strung out get them all dried out and get yourself some nice comfortable camp

clothes on. So, moving from that we go over to our hunting suit itself. So, this

is a Deerhunter Muflon winter jacket. Two different lengths on the Deerhunter

Muflon collection, one which comes just above the thigh on this winter one which

comes down just to above a mid thigh level. It does have a popper system so if

you're sat in a seat that can fold up onto your thighs. This is a fabulous high

technology winter hunting suit, great insulation deer tex membrane so it's

waterproof and breathable. This utilizes Realtree Max 5 camo, which is one of my

favorite patterns, certainly good for this time of year and all of the

vegetation has died down it's all kind of browns and yellow so it works

perfectly. But, the functionality of this jacket is well it's pretty incredible.

Lots of different storage options pockets, as you can see these have

warmer pockets, deep bellows pockets. Also, that have ammunition slots in them. It

has a hood, a nice deep insulated hood. I tend to wear a blaze orange cap just for

safety to make sure people can see where I am. I'm moving down into the trousers

these are bib trousers. Nice high cut all the way over the kidneys at the back

keep nice and warm. Full length zipped down a fly and also

has a full-length clip down the leg, which makes getting in and out of the

trousers nice and comfortable. So, highly functional top-end hunting suit ideal for

colder weather conditions. So, back onto the extremities and I'm using these

Ariat catalyst boots. Now, these are unlined

because the same because of wear during the summer but I use the socks to layer

up to the level of insulation that I need. Great

waterproof, comfort functional boots and coupled with that I

have some Deerhunter boot gaiters. We could be walking through some pretty

muddy, wet areas so trying to keep the bottom of your trousers dry, stop stuff

getting into the top of your boots it's pretty critical and then of course Deerhunter

also make the Muflon glove which matches the suit. These have fingers that

fall back so that you can you trigger finger out ready the rest of your hand stay

nice and warm. So, hopefully with all of that we shouldn't catch a death, should we?

We should stay nice and warm. So, coming on to the shooting equipment Wildey's

going to be using his Blazer R8 Professional Success in 300 Win Mag

and that's topped with the Hawke Frontier 31-6 x 24. So, it's a great little

scope nice and compact low magnification ideal for ballistic targets. His also has

the target turrets and a ballistic reticle. It's little bit complicated for

me, but Wildey's got that analytical mind he can figure out where he wants

his reticle to go. I'll be using my Sauer 404 in 338 Win Mag. These two are

both the same rifles we took to Alaska so pretty

yeah confident pretty familiar now. That has a Hawke Endurance 1-4 x 24.

Slightly low magnification low profile, turrets. I don't really need the mag when

I'm shooting driven targets anyway, I like to keep a nice wide open view you

know around 1 or 2 mag maximum and also the Joker of the bunch which is what I'm

really looking forward to using as a Howa 1500 it's 308 Winchester and that's

fitted with a Hawke Reflex Red Dot sight. So, very pointable, it's got an 18 inch

varmint barrel, so it's a heavier barrel but the red dot sight and that GRS

stock it's very pointable in it and we used it

to great success when we were in Wales earlier in there in the years yeah we

did it's a little bit different not only does it have that ambidextrous GRS

Berzerk stock which fits nice and comfortably it can be adjusted to fit

your dimensions, because another scope on it just feels a little bit more intimate

yes it's an incredible gun. So, we're looking forward to using that and even

shooting targets free hand out at 200 yards it was fine, absolutely fine. I was

you know, surprised because both really didn't it she did really good 10 inch

discs at 200 yards with a red dot sight and it just gave me a huge amount of

confidence that when we get to it, hopefully we're not be taking about 200

yards what we can do it. You know, we think we can. So, really happy with the

rifles we've got they're very familiar with them put them through the paces

that you've seen that already. Onto ammunition,

Steve is going to be using Hornady superformance

SSTs 180 gram 300 Win Ma.g I'm going to be using 338 exactly the

same bullet over 225 grains and then for the 308 we're gonna be using Lapua

Megas and 185 grain, so hopefully there's plenty of punch power there. Yeah, we've

got some horsepower, yes we do indeed. So, we've taken 60 rounds of each, which

should be enough we're going to be shooting at the Blazer shooting cinema,

so we've taken a little bit extra there yes we can have a bit of fun yeah

ammunition absolutely critical. Cleaning kit and tool kit our rods

Jag's, phosphor, bronze, brush, pull through, oil all the things we need for a basic

rifle maintenance. Moving on to other shooting equipment Hawke Frontier ED

binoculars. This is brand new model from Hawke, you've not used them yet I have not

used them yet. Steve's still got his Endurance he used in Alaska which would

both huge fans of those Endurance binos. Absolutely fantastic, bonus it's

interesting to see how Hawke have taken that next step further I did use them

when I was out stalking at Kelmarsh for muntjac a couple of weeks back and they

work really well. Nice, lightweight, very crisp image hopefully they'll do

the job for us, but we'll see that in the next couple of days. When we're out

stalking we have the thermal so this is a Hylian XP 50 thermal imager. Now, you've

used this. Very, very good. We're still pretty new to thermal imaging but

what it does do is give you a lot more time to acquire targets. I know any high seating in

woods because you can when the low lights come in or it's coming light you

can have a scan around and you can peek the bodies coming up before they hit the

rides so especially when you culling it's a really, really good tool. So, you'll

see how this works for acquiring targets on a driven hunt. Now, of course you've

still got to make sure that it's the right, age, sex species so you know a

running blob through the woods it's a running blob through the woods. But, where

this does allow you to do is see that animals are approaching before you can

see them with the naked eye, you can see them through the brush. So, if you can see

something's coming you can get yourself ready get your binos in place, that's

right it gives you that extra 10 seconds doesn't it? To be on before it crosses

the ride. Depending on the woodlands or the depth of cover that you're shooting in I

think this can make the difference between actually making a shot good

shots and then not being comfortable to so interesting to see how that works. Now,

we have a slightly different approach to our shooting sticks. I like my Vanguard

B62's, so as you can see these are all kind of scratched and dented and

well they've seen a hard life and you use these Spartans. I do.

So, tell me a little about those. Well, Ian comes them my gimmick sticks, but I love them to bits.

They're very lightweight, carbon-fibre, they're tripods stick instead of a bipod

stick, extendable up to the high that you want and they fit directly into the

stock of my rifle by a magnet system and like I say I love them to bits and we've

got 360 degrees turn on them so you can pivot wherever you want to be but I love

them to bits. We also found they're very handy to use

a drying rack when we're Alaska. Yeah, clothesline yes if you put them out you

can hang your guns on hang your coats on them, sunshine comes out so they're

multifunctional. They certainly are. MY B62's, they don't do that.

They just no just stand there and hold my gun or my binos. So, slightly different

approach but always when you're going out stalking take a set of sticks with

you it gives you an extra 100, 150, 200 yards of course if we need to take a

freehand shot then we're very capable of doing so we're giving yourself the

opportunity of having that steady rest I think is really important. Maybe a

little bit further forwards Peltor ear defenders, once again uses exactly the

same model. Both myself and Steve for years didn't use the right quality

of hearing protection both got tinnitus and our left ear which can be handy I

suppose if you're getting shouted at by the missus they can just clock a deaf

you can always handy to clock a deaf ear. Being as I get older it's it's

dead handy having these things, not only does it protect your hearing, but if you turn up

the volume on these you can also hear game approaching. Yeah. I can hear where

there's a squirrel in the woods or if it's a wild boar in the woods often they

sound the same then you know there's movement you get yourself ready as

they're coming out and they didn't magnify the sound really well it's a

good sound and I can also hear Wildey's cursing me or saying nasty things

well if he's missed the shot because he tends to curse himself then so

absolutely use ear defenders of the best quality that you can afford. Getting a

little bit towards the front, first aid kit

wild boar hunting if done properly of course is as dangerous as any other

sport you might undertake. But, there's always a chance you might wind an animal

or come across a wounded animal and you need to be prepared for all

eventualities so I have a first-aid kit with a trauma kit in there. Yeah,

hopefully nothing is going to happen to us, but better safe than sorry. So, we'll

make sure you're going prepared. I have this knife here, my OKC

Cayuga knife, amazing piece of steel. Steve uses a bigger one, he calls it Excalibur and yes

about foot in length but he's a big guy and he can use that sort of knife so

really, really good knife. I also have a blade tech knife sharpener this is an

actually sharpen the knife but it just puts the edge back on. Pigs can be very

tough, yeah and very gritty as well in the hair because they wallow to keep

themselves warm so there's nothing worse than taking the edge off a knife then a

bit of grit in the hair as you're coming through the skin so and it can make for

a long day again a bloody big hairy animals lots of fat inside them thick

heavy fur so if we do get more than one pig you're going to want to put that

edge back on it yeah before we get to work again. Now, Steve's probably gonna

criticize me a little bit here because he's a man of the mountains and a

wilderness guy but I also take particularly going somewhere like

Hungary a set of hand warmers. These ones you just open them up and

they react to the air it's gonna be between minus 3 and minus 7, so it's

always good to pop those inside your gloves keep your hands nice and tight

keep those fingers working because after about 2 or 3 hours out in that high seat

you'll be thankful for it. Yeah, I'm sure I will so I've given him some anyway you

may not use them and the final piece of the puzzle on the left hand side here

Sumo Jetboil. The most important thing, we're gonna be out in

the woods out in the wilderness it's going to be cold and that's what that's

what boiling water I've got travel mugs such as a matter of getting out on the

tailgate in between drives when everybody else is drinking alcohol free

beer I'm gonna get myself wrapped up with a coffee and I'm sure Steve will

have a tea. So, that's basically it nothing too complicated, nothing too

outlandish. Tried, tested equipment all of this gear we've either used in Alaska or

stalking, it's the same stuff that we use basically every day of the

year. Yeah, just because you're going to a different country doesn't mean you need

to change your equipment or your approach to it. No, it's just common sense

hunting really. It's what we use you've got to gear yourself up for the

appropriate situation haven't you? Yeah. Wherever you go in the world really.

The most important thing is to keep yourself dry, warm and comfortable. Yeah.

Because then you make better decisions you'll sit still in the high seat and

when the animal comes across and you'll be ready to take that shot and when you

get back to the digs first thing you sort out get your rifle dried out get it

oiled, get it cleaned, get it ready to go. Sort out your optics, dry your clothes

and then look after yourself and then you can have a drink. So, hopefully that's

all we're going to need. We're now going to put all into our

duffle bags, we've got an easy, organized packing system for the truck because

it's me and Wildley plus there's two camera guys. We need to make sure

everything goes in there it's all accessible but it's not a big mess on

the inside and then we gonna hit the road next step on from here we're gonna

go to Belgium. We're going to visit a good friend of ours

Frederick Rundrum, who has a gun shop just outside Bruges and try get an idea

for what European hunters take when they go driven hunting, see if there's any

tips that we can pick up. Every day is a learning day, yes it is. The

next time you see is we'll be loading the truck. Perfect, let's get to work.

Book Review | Raven Strategem [CC] - Duration: 8:01.

Hey! What's up, you guys? It's Connor, and today I'm gonna be doing a book review for

Raven Stratagem by Yoon Ha Lee. If you guys don't know, this is the second book

in the Machineries of Empire series, and it follows in the first book this girl

named Cheris. She is a part of this Kel division in society.

I did a non-spoiler book review of the first book, and I'll leave that up with

the card symbol if you want to check it out. In that review I go through a pretty

big portion of the review explaining the world set up because the first book

drops you into the story very quickly and you have to just figure out how to

swim. So I took some time in that first review to explain the world so that it

wasn't as jarring and people are able to understand the world right when they

start the book. So if you want to know more about the world building and

everything like that, check out that first review because I'm not gonna redo

it here. The main character of the series is part of this Kel group of society, and

the Kel are these soldiers, the infantry of this hexarchate which is the name

of the society. This world is all centered around time and how people view

time. There's the main calendar that the hexarchate follows, and if a group

doesn't think about time the same way that the hexarchate does, they're

considered heretical and they need to be eliminated, or converted, or whatever so

that the technology is able to work. In the first book, it's Cheris' job to

try to retake this fortress and to get rid of the heretics that are messing up

the technology of this society, the hexarchate. In this book we just jump

straight in from where the last book left off, and in this one we follow a

couple of more characters. I'm gonna keep this one spoiler-free as well, so you

don't have to worry about me spoiling the first book. And I'm not gonna spoil

anything that happens in this book, so you're safe. As usual I'm gonna go

through my pros, go through my cons, give you my rating, and be done. My first pro

for this book is that it was so easy to get back into this world. After

experiencing the first book and having a hard time connecting with the world and

understanding what the heck was happening because it was just very

chaotic, it was so nice to go into this book and to immediately just fall back

into the story and know what was happening and be able to understand what

was going on, and who the characters were, and how they related to each other. I

don't know what the difference is in writing style because in the first book

I was very confused. It took a while for me to understand what was happening. I

said in my first review that the first book is a book that you will maybe

not love the first time you read it, but the second time you read it you'll like

it a lot more because you'll understand the world and be able to follow the

story better. This one though, you don't have to reread

it at all. You just can go through it, and it is very easy to understand. The ending

of the first book was super crazy, so I was worried that this one would be just

as convoluted and hard to get into, but that was not the case. I think maybe a

reason for that is that this book focuses a lot more on the characters, and

you get inside their head and understand what they're feeling and their thought

processes. I think because maybe I was a little bit more connected to the

characters and invested in them, that it was easier for me to get invested in

this story. Not exactly sure, but it was just so much easier to understand and

get into. I also thought the main character of the story was just as

interesting in this one as they were in the first one. Additionally I really

liked the addition of these other characters that we follow. We follow a

character named Brezan. And at the beginning of the book you find out that

he is transgender, but he hasn't switched his physical appearance so they

call it being in womanform even though he's a man. He plays a major role in the

story, and I really liked following him. we also follow a character named Khiruev.

I do not know how to pronounce people's names it's K.H.I.R.O.U.V.,

and she had a very interesting backstory. She's a higher up general in this Kel

society, and I just thought that her chapters were really interesting because

she's not like a lot of characters that you follow in books. She doesn't have a

huge drive to be high up in society. She just wants to live her life, and she

doesn't want to have a lot of responsibilities. So I thought that she

was a breath of fresh air. I mean, most characters that we follow all want to be

super amazing warriors and want to be autonomous and everything like that. This

character did not want those things, and we also follow a character which I think

maybe popped up in the first book. But I don't really remember him as well. The

character's name is Shuos Mikodez. Again, I can't pronounce people's names,

but he has a ton of weird, messed-up family relations going on. He's a part of

the Shuos. He's a part of these very manipulative people that cheat at games

and everything like that. But he was so interesting to follow even though I, like,

couldn't get behind him. I still wanted him to succeed somewhat

because I liked him as a character, but just everything that's going on with him...

there is incest with his storyline, so that was weird. But I still enjoyed him

as a character somehow! There's one side character that I'm very excited to see

what happens with him. It's a side character named Nujen. N.U.J.E.N.

I just can't figure him out, and what he's gonna be doing in the future of the

series ,and what he's doing now. Like, he's just such a wild card, and it makes me so

engaged because I really want to understand what he's gonna do and

especially [because] I'm trying to figure it out before it actually happens. So there's a

lot of those little plot threads in this story that keep you engaged because

you're trying to figure things out before the characters do, but the

characters are so smart [that] it's a little difficult. So I really, really liked the

characters that we're following in this story. With those characters, you can tell

just how else describing them that there's a lot of diversity in this book.

There's a lot of acceptance. In this future world, humans have been able to

just do whatever they want to do, and it's not a huge deal. So if someone wants

to change from one gender to another and back, they're allowed to do that. They're

not forced into any specific role. There [are] a lot of polyamorous

relationships. It seems like polyamorous relationships are the norm in this

society, so that was really interesting. You can have multiple mothers and

multiple fathers all at the same time, and there's like a group effort of

raising you. So that was really cool! Again, I already talked about it, but the

writing was very, very clear and easy to get into. I kind of touched on that with

being able to get into the story very easily, but I wanted to clearly state

that the writing was way better for me in this one than it was in the first

one. There is always something plot-wise going on, or some type of political

maneuvering, or outsmarting one another that is happening that really kept me

engaged. And the last pro that I'm going to talk about is that this book has

another crazy ending that I was just totally enthralled with. I could not put

the book down after we got to a certain point. This is one of those books where

you hit, like, 50 pages left and you can't stop reading it until you finish. The

ending of this book really shakes things up, and I am just very excited to see

what happens in the third book and the repercussions of everything that happens

in this one. Now I'm going to talk about a couple of cons that I had. My first con

is the incest. I just will never understand/be able to get behind characters

that are involved with incest. It's just not something that at this point I can

understand, and the only other really con that I had was that the battle scenes in

this book tend to get a little bit messy. When he does battle scenes, I just get

lost in the details. There's a lot of different things happening, and that's

probably similar to how battles are in real life. But I as a reader, I would like

to understand what is happening, and where the characters are, and the

formations, and everything like that. I had a hard time following all that stuff,

but what happens during the battles isn't as important as what is happening

with the characters individually. So it wasn't too big of a con, but it was a con.

So overall, I really really enjoyed this sequel. I think that the series is

getting better and better, and I can't wait to read the third book which is

already out. I ended up giving this book four stars. I gave the first one three

and a half stars, so I think that is just getting better. I hope that I love

the third book. I think that I will. So that's gonna be my review of Raven

Stratagem by Yoon Ha Lee. If you liked it, please give it a big thumbs up and

comment down below if you've read this book. Have you read the first book? If you

read the first one and you were a little daunted, I think that you will definitely

be able to understand the second one, so don't get too discouraged. If you guys

have any other recommendations- science fiction recommendations for me leave

those down in the comments, and I will talk to you guys next time. Bye!
