And on the sides we have coil heads. We'll get back to it a little bit later.....:)
You know, friends, I never thought that making of Ego-format device will be harder, than some RDA or RTA or even some box mod
During designing Ego-format device there is a lot of details and variants of usage needed to be considered
Since this type of devices is pretty versatile, it should be suited firstly for beginners and, of course, for advanced vapers
Maybe it's not difficult to draw it, but to test it - it's a pain
Because first - you need to test all coil heads in very different situations
And most important thing in Ego-format device is the coil head, which should go through water and fire, to be exact - complete all the tests with various juices - different nicotine strength, different pg/vg ratio and different flavoring
In other words, a lot of tests was made with this device. That's why we've been delaying release this long, because we've been testing, testing, testing
We've been testing battery life, we've been testing it with different juices, we've been testing different top caps and different coil heads, we've been testing different voltages and so on and on
And, as a result, today I'm doing the presentation of my new product - Berserker MTL Starter Kit, which I created in cooperation with Vandy Vape. And I want to say big thanks to them for that cooperation
Okay, let's not delay the moment of close up, let's dive down. It's gonna be the longest review of Ego-format device on my channel
And, for a start, I want to warn you in advance - it's sample packaging, retail packaging will look different
So, I think you get it right - in big packaging we have the device and on the sides we have packs of coil heads - 5 pieces each. We'll get back to it a little bit later
And for a start we will talk about main kit
Okay, it's a face of a kit - here we have the device itself, extra 510 drip tip, spare glass, 2 individually sealed spare coil heads and of course a packaging with papers and MicroUSB cable
But besides papers and MicroUSB cable for charging there is also a warranty card and bag with spare o-rings for a tank
And this thing which you shouldn't eat
Okay, we're done with kit contents, so it's time to talk about device itself
This kit is made out of zinc alloy and stainless steel and available in 10 colors. At the moment on the table is 8 of them - Green, SS, Red, Purple, Gun Metal, Rainbow, White and Blue
Also there is gonna be Gold and Matte black colors
This kit is consists of two parts - tank and battery. Tank is featuring 510 drip tips slot, top fill, 2 or 3.5ml capacity depending on the selected glass
And airflow adjustment with classic holes diameters - 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm and 1.6mm
This tank have standard 510 connection and diameter is 19mm
Now, regarding the mod. This mod can fit atomizers with diameter up to 19mm and have fixed 1100mAh battery. Also it featuring a board, which have two modes - constant voltage mode - 3.7V and Bypass mode - 4.2V to 3.2V
Also this board is featuring safety features, such as short circuit protection, over-charge and over-discharge protection
And a button with LED, which will inform you about battery life
Traditionally, mod can be charged via MicroUSB and it have Pass-through mode
And now it's time for the detailed look and as always we start from the top - the tank
Let's unscrew it
And at the very top of the tank we have a 510 drip tip with heat sink. Drip tip is painted as well and it's disassemblable - top plastic part of it may be unscrewed
As I said, it's 510 drip tip and in case if you want to, you can use either drip tip from the kit, which is look like so
This drip tip is made out of plastic, in case you didn't like this metal one, you are able to use plastic one
And you can use your own 510 drip tip if you want to
Next part of the tank is top cap. It's pretty massive part, it happened to be like this because it should've had 510 drip tip slot
Anyway, top cap for top filling. It unscrews counter clockwise
As you can see, top cap is tightening the glass, but the glass itself is firmly sits on the bottom part of the tank - there is a deep fit and also we have the o-ring, so the glass doesn't even move right or left
But when necessary you are able to remove the glass. This glass gives 2ml capacity and we have spare bubble glass in the kit, which increases capacity up to 3.5ml

Next part is coil head holder. It unscrews counter clockwise. So this part is connecting with top part. It will look like so when you will be replacing the coil head
And here we are, getting to coil heads. In the kit, as I said before, we have 2 types of coil heads - 1.5Ω and 1.8Ω
Both coil heads are individually sealed, there is no pre-installed coil head in the tank and there is no coil head, which will smell and taste like a packaging
So because coil heads are sealed you can simply take it out, install it in a tank, saturate it and enjoy your vape without any troubles with foreign taste
Overall, 1.5Ω and 1.8Ω coil heads. Besides these two coils in the kit, you can buy coil heads separately in such packages, which says BSKR MTL Coil
Clearly, there is 5 pieces in this pack and here we have 2 types of coil heads - 1.5Ω and 1.8Ω
And, of course, these coil heads are also individually sealed.
Inside we have the thing you can't eat and blister pack with coil heads
And now let's take a closer look at the coil head. It's the heart of this tank, we've devoted the most of development time to coil heads
And one of the most important criteria for the coil heads to me was - it should have horizontal coil
This little horizontal space coil inside
It's the cotton in this coil head and wire that we are using is a Nichrome
Yes friends, such a tiny 1.5Ω coil head. To make all of this work you need to screw this coil head into the deck
We'll be using liquid by Mi - this is French company, which makes liquids with salt nicotine - this liquid is 20mg strength of salt nicotine and pg/vg ratio is 50/50
The first and the most important thing you need to do - drip the coil head before use. You need to drip like 3, maybe 4 drops of liquid into this small hole
Now, we screw down the top part, unscrew top cap and fill the tank
And while coil head is saturating, let's talk about airflow ring. It's pretty tight ring, which will not allow to mess up your favorite airflow adjustment
And, as I said before, we have several airflow adjustments - holes with diameter 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm and 1.6mm
By turning this ring you'll see these small holes and by choosing one of them you'll be able to adjust the airflow as you like it the most
And the last thing we will pay attention to is the bottom of the tank. It have inscription Manufactured by Vandy Vape, serial number and 510 connection with nice protruding pin
So that was all, what was regarding the tank. Now let's talk about the mod
We don't have something remarkable here, well, maybe besides the design
But let's start from the top of device, where we have 510 connection with gold-plated spring-loaded pin and it fits up to 19mm atomizers
We've designed top part of this mod to match the design of a device - these knurls on the tank itself
Next, Fire button in a shape of a shield and we have a LED frame around it
Lower we have a name of the device Berserker MTL Starter Kit
On the opposite side we have MicroUSB slot for charging and certificates. And at the bottom we have information about manufacturer and creator - Vandy Vape and Alex from VapersMD
So, friends, you can turn this mod On and Off by 5 clicks of Fire button
One, two, three, four, five
There is indication and mod is On
Now when we press Fire button there will be indication every time. Right now mod says that we have no atomizer
Also, you turn Off the mod. One, two, three, four, five
There will be indication as well, but when we will press Fire button nothing will happen
As I previously said, this mod support two modes of work - Constant voltage and Bypass
You can switch between these modes when mod is turned Off by long press of the Fire button
So, press and hold. Wait for some time and LED will change the color - now it's Orange and now we're in Constant voltage mode
Press Fire button again, hold it and wait for indication - as you can see it turned White - it means we're in Bypass mode
And the voltage will be fully depend on your battery charge. In other words, in Constant voltage mode you'll be getting 3.7V, in Bypass mode you'll be getting voltage from 4.2V to 3.2V depending on your current battery charge
When the battery charge will be 3.2V or lower, the LED will flash Red, it will mean that it's time to charge the device via MicroUSB
As I said before, this mod have Pass-through - so you can charge it and vape it in the same time
Okay, let's move on. Many of you been asking for more specific specs, such as exact size. And for that vernier calliper is back in my reviews
Yes, for a start let's measure total height - it's 123mm
Without drip tip it's 110mm
Height of the mod is 75mm
And as I said - diameter is 19mm
And for size comparison I've put on the table some standard stuff - single 18650 box mod, 18650 battery, POD system and our Bersogoshku(Berserker + Ego = Bersogoshka)
Unfortunately, I don't have any other Ego-format devices, these devices don't stay long on my table, but this one definitely will stay for long - well, it's mine, after all
And last thing that we'll measure is weight - weight of a complete working device with a liquid
So, the weight of it is just 100 grams
Okay, friends, that was Berserker MTL Starter Kit and I think it's time to get back to face-time and talk a little bit more about this device
So thank you for attention in close up
Let's go up
You know, I didn't vape at the beginning for a purpose, so you would watch close up and heard everything I tried to say for sure. And now let's vape
Okay, this one I filled it with 45mg strength salt nicotine liquid Naked 100 and in the Red one, which we had in close up, I filled with 50/50 liquid with 20mg salt nicotine strength
Okay, I think you understand, that I'm unable to chain vape it, since throat hit is real, you can make 1 or 2 puffs and put it on a table, because salt nicotine, as you know, satisfies nicotine hunger very fast
Now, let's try 20mg salt nicotine liquid
And here I can chain vape, because throat hit isn't that obvious, as with 45mg
Overall, friends, this tank is very versatile in terms of liquids you may use. You are able to use either salt nicotine based liquids and regular nicotine based liquids with high strength
But, obviously, though very important, don't forget - this is Ego-format device, so don't expect some mega flavor from it, which you may get on a dual coil RDA
It wouldn't be even logical
This device have several purposes - first - to help beginners to switch smoking to vaping
And second - quickly satisfy nicotine hunger
I think you understand, that in this review I won't be telling you about pros and cons of this device. About the pros and cons you will be told by the guys on other channels
I want to tell you why I decided to make Ego-format device. Why Ego-format, but not some closed system in the first place
And when I was making this device, I had a list of important things, which should've been in my device no matter what
First - good coil heads with horizontal coils. This is very important, when airflow blows whole coil, not just its inner part
Horizontal coils in MTL devices is very important thing. And yes, that was THE main thing for me - we must've use coil heads with horizontal coils in this device
Second, and pretty important thing for me, I'll place it second - coil heads must be individually sealed, each one of them, so coil heads will not be impregnated with the smell of a packaging or whatever
So that you were able to remove the coil head from blister pack, install it and feel the proper taste of your liquid
Third important thing - this device should be versatile, it should have interesting design, obviously it should be comfortable to use and it should have compact size
And the last aspect, which I wanted to draw your attention to, is the color variations. So that any of you could select the color which you like
Overall, I think we succeed to make proper Ego-format device, which would help people to quit cancer sticks and switch cigarettes to vapor
I think you will have questions about battery life of this device. Fixed 1100mAh battery
I'll say it again - we did a lot of tests, so if you will be using high nicotine strength liquid and use this device just to satisfy your nicotine hunger, 1100mAh will be enough for the whole day of usage of this device
Yes, battery life is very important, but it's very individual at the same time. In other words, somebody of you will be using salt nicotine, somebody of you will be using regular nicotine and will be chain vaping and somebody will do couple of puffs and put it away
That is why you are can use Pass-through without any problems - that is charge it and vape in the same time without any issues
Also, I will cover "RBA deck" question as well. We won't be making RBA deck for this device
If you need RBA deck means you are advanced vaper, and specially for you we've made Berserker Mini 22mm, Berserker 24mm and several versions of Berserker will follow later
Which will be different in terms of both and design and deck
Regarding the price. Unfortunately, at the moment when I film of this review, I didn't had a price. But I will put a link in the description
