Should A Person Pray the Rosary? | Ang Tamang Daan - Duration: 26:02.
We pray before we sleep and when we wake up in the morning.
And for example, when we go out, we pray first before we leave the house
so that God will take care of us.
Wherever we may be going, God will be with us.
That is what my husband and I believe in.
The rosary, in my belief, because I was raised a catholic and my grandmother taught me,
that every bead of the rosary has a meaning.
The prayer will just be repeated over and over again
Our Father, Hail Mary, and The Apostles' Creed, those prayers.
My wife and I also recite the novena because of what we went through.
She is always sick so when I hear the news that there are those who recite the novena
or there are saints that are miraculous, I bring her there because I want her to get better.
I invite my children to conduct the Angelus.
I tell them that our family should pray together.
We conduct the Angelus at six in the evening.
That is what our ancestors taught us.
Every six in the evening, we should pray—that is the repetitive prayer.
My knees almost give out due to the long prayer.
You cannot slouch because you'll be hit.
The prayers of the religions I've been to are all memorized,
to the extent that even while you are talking with someone, you can recite the prayer.
That is wrong.
We also became members of other religions
like the Union of Christian Spiritists of the Philippines, Incorporated,
and the Rizalistas, among others.

It is here where they found the prayer that is acceptable to God.
Now, Brother Lemuel, let's discuss about the prayer of the rosary that they mentioned.
Where did the rosary originate?
What we will read, Brother Rommell and dear viewers,
is a catholic book entitled "Roman Catholicism in the Light of the Scripture", written by a Priest, Mr. Dreyer.
on page 137, here is what we could read. Please listen.
This was also written in history that we could read in another book entitled
"The Two Babylons or The Papal Worship" which was written by Alexander Hislop in page 187.
Before it was used in catholicism, the rosary was already being used by the Buddhists, Brahmans, Lamas, and pagans
for their prayers and in their worship of false gods.
If our viewers would notice, Brother Lemuel,
the catholic church was not the first to use the rosary in their prayers.
Now, our question, how and when did the catholic church start using the rosary?
Our question will be answered, Brother Rommell and dear viewers,
through a book entitled "The Book of Mary" on page 97.
This was written by Henry Daniel-Rop. This is written.
Dear friends, the use of the rosary of the pagans inside the catholic church
was estimated to have begun on the 11th century.
This was later developed by Dominic and took the form in which it is now known
comprising the recitation of the fifteen mysteries.
They do this as devotion or a prayer for Mary, which they believe to be a Christian worship.
Therefore, dear friends, according to the catholic book we read,
it is undeniable that the rosary of the catholic church began with the pagans.
Now, Brother Lemuel, how do they pray the rosary?

This book is entitled "Father Smith Instructs Jackson"
which was written by the catholic priests John Francis Noll and Lester Fallon. In page 208, this is written.
Dear friends, according to the explanation of their priests, in reciting the entire prayer of the rosary,
10 Hail Marys will be recited 15 times.
This means, Brother Rommell, that it will be recited 150 times.
Isn't it, Brother Lemuel, that aside from 150 Hail Marys
there is still another prayer that should be recited, the "Our Father"?
That's right, Brother Rommell,
and that is what is stated in their book "The Catholic Encyclopedia" Volume 13, in page 184.

Dear friends, in every 10 Hail Marys, an Our Father will be recited.
So, in total, Brother Rommell, praying the rosary will consist of 165 repeated prayers
and that is only in one instance.
Dear friends, we want to emphasize to you that praying to God is important.
We are not against that because praying is our way of calling to God.
But the important question, dear friends, is how we should properly do it.
Should we do it, Brother Lemuel, like the prayer of the rosary being done by the pagans?
This time, Brother Rommell, the Bible will answer our question.
Here in Ephesians 2:11(a)-12 TLB, the Holy Scriptures state this.
Never forget that once you were heathen...
Remember that in those days you were living utterly apart from Christ; you were enemies of God's children,
and he had promised you no help.
You were lost, without God, without hope.
So dear friends, our prayers should not be based on pagan practices,
like praying the rosary Brother Rommell, because according to the Holy Scriptures,
pagans are apart from Christ—they are not of Christ, they are not Christians.
They will not receive God's promise.
They are without God an d without hope of salvation.
Now dear friends, some of you might be asking, how will I not be saved?
Although I've been doing pagan practices, in my heart, it is God whom I've been praying to.
Although in their hearts they are praying to God, Although in their hearts they are praying to God,
if what they're doing is based on pagan practices, they are not able to pray to the true God.
We can read the proof here in Psalms 106:35-36 TEV.
Listen to what the Bible states.
But they intermarried with them and adopted their pagan ways.
God's people worshiped idols, and this caused their destruction.
Dear viewers, adopting pagan ways is not obedience to God's commands.
So, although in man's heart, he or she serves God but is doing pagan practices,
he or she falls in obeying and worshiping false gods.
The Holy Scriptures assured that they will receive destruction.
And they also fall in praying to false gods, Brother Lemuel.
Let us return to our topic regarding the prayer of the rosary.
Does our Lord Jesus Christ agree with praying the rosary or repetitive prayers like pagans do?
Let us read the answer of our Lord Jesus Christ written here in Matthew 6:7-8 TLB. Please listen.
"Don't recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do,
who think prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again.
Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
Dear friends, the Lord Jesus Christ clearly prohibits
His disciples to recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do.
So anyone who recites that kind of prayer
surely goes against the commandment of the Lord God and the Lord Jesus Christ,
that is why what they are doing is a sin.
It is the Lord Jesus Christ's instruction,
which was clearly stated in what Brother Lemuel read,
that we should not pray as such because the Father, our Lord God,
knows exactly what we need even before we ask Him.
Because of this truth, it is undeniable that the rosary of the catholic church
is not in accordance with the teachings of the Bible.
This is a forthright contradiction to God and the Lord Jesus Christ's command.
Brother Lemuel and I will return shortly to continue our discussion. Please stay tuned.
Dear friends, before we continue our discussion,
let us watch the second part of our interview of Brother Wilson and Sister Eda Rodriguez.
If man would study and examine it, repetitive prayer is different from the acceptable prayer to God.
The acceptable prayer comes from the heart.
The repetitive prayer is just memorized.
So even while you are talking with someone,
you can recite the prayer because you memorized it.
But the acceptable prayer comes from the heart.
When I first heard the manner of praying here in the Church Of Christ,
my heart was filled with gladness because I've been looking for the acceptable prayer to God for ages.
I found it here.
What caught my attention was the prayer of the brethren for the Executive Minister.
I was surprised that they pray for the leader, for the Administration of the Church Of Christ.
In my former religion, we did not hear any of that.
We did not observe that manner of praying.
That is the reason the Church Of Christ is victorious.
They are united in praying for the administration.
Because God hears and the Lord Jesus Christ mediates their prayer,
God bestows victory to the Executive Minister because of the Church's prayers.
Because, like in our family, we include our parents in our prayers and God answers us.
That is what I also observed in the house of worship whenever the Church prays for the Executive Minister.
Just like a family's prayer, where a child prays for his father to have a longer life,
the same goes when the Church prays for its leader.
It is God's teaching to pray for the Executive Minister.
I really liked that.
The Church is united in praying for the Executive Minister that is why he succeeds.
I learned that the prayer should be interceded by the Son so that our prayer will reach the Father.
I firmly believe that my prayers reach the Father because the Son intercedes on my behalf.
Now that I am inside the Church, God blessed me with the right to pray to Him,
the right to be answered, and the right to serve and perform my duty.
I am blessed to be a member of the Church Of Christ and to have the right to call to God.
And now we are in the right path toward the Father.
Brother Lemuel, God's calling of Sister Eda and Brother Wilson is really unique
through our prayers to God.
Because, first, they felt that the prayer we do inside the Chruch Of Christ comes from the heart.
They also understood that our manner of praying is based in the Bible.
That is true, Brother Rommell, because the manner of praying that we conduct inside the Church Of Christ
is what God commands which is written here in Jeremiah 29:13. This is stated.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Dear friends, this is what God wants whenever we call to Him.
We will seek and call to Him with all our heart, not through repetitive prayers,
like praying the rosary Brother Rommell, which is memorized.
Dear friends, this teaching of the Bible was understood and believed in by Brother Wilson and Sister Eda
that is why they joined the Church Of Christ.
According to the couple, their heart was filled with gladness
because they found the kind of prayer they were looking for inside the Church Of Christ.
Another thing that encouraged them, Brother Lemuel, is the prayer of the Church for the Executive Minister.
Yes, and according to Brother Wilson and Sister Eda, Brother Rommell and dear friends,
the reason the Church is victorious in all its works
is because of the unity of the every member of the Church Of Christ in praying
for its administration under the leadership of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.
They did not observe it in their former religion, Brother Rommell.
We are sure, Brother Lemuel, that also caught the attention of our dear viewers.
They might be thinking why we do that
that we pray to God for the leader of the Church Of Christ.
They might ask, is that written in the Bibile?
That is based in the Holy Scriptures, Brother Rommell.
That is written here in the teachings of the apostles in Colossians 4:3-4 TLB.
Don't forget to pray for us too, that God will give us many chances to preach the Good News of Christ for which I am here in jail.
Pray that I will be bold enough to tell it freely and fully and make it plain, as, of course, I should.
Another proof is what is written here in II Thessalonians 3:1-2.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you,
and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
Dear viewers, the one speaking in the verses we read is Apostle Paul,
one of the administrators in the first century Church,
in the land of the Gentiles, Brother Rommell.
He taught the brethren to include them in their prayer so that they may continue to preach the gospel
so that God's words will spread and that they be delivered from wicked men.

and most importantly, they are in the right path of serving God and are assured of receiving salvation.
