What I Eat in a Day: Breakfast and Lunch | Dietitian Meal Ideas at a Drone Race [CC] - Duration: 1:13.
A couple of weekends ago I was traveling in New Mexico for a drone race.
I thought it would be fun to show you what I ate for breakfast and lunch at the track.
For breakfast I had two meal bars I brought from home, cucumbers I brought in a cooler
and coffee from the hotel.
Since some meal bars can be quite high in carbohydrates, I always check the label.
For meals, I generally consume about 45 grams of carbohydrates.
This is, of course, personal to me, and not a general recommendation.
With these bars, 27 grams and 23 grams is 50 grams of carbohydrates, so I know I'm within
a normal range for myself.
So I snacked on those items for awhile, and then I discovered there was catered food at
the event!
I picked up a salad with greens, cucumbers, tomatoes and Parmesan cheese.
I also grabbed a few grapes and a piece of chocolate cake because it looked amazing.
And I also drank water throughout the day.
I hope you enjoyed this example of what I eat on a travel day.
Please do note that portion sizes are specific to my needs on that specific day.
In the next video I will be sharing some footage from the trip and a glimpse into my travel snacks.
See you then, and remember to like and subscribe before you go!

Lesson 3 - Duration: 9:31.
Hello everyone and welcome to
lesson three of Speaking and Speech.
With Kiki! Hi Everyone!
Today we're going to talk a little bit about posture.
But first I'd like to do a quick review
of what we talked about in the previous lesson.
As you may remember
we talked about being a teacher.
We talked about faking it
and we talked about being warm.
When we talk about being warm, what did we mean?
That's right - you guessed it: the smile.
Like fake laughter, confidence
is something that you can pretend to have
and people will think you have it.
That's enough.
Let's talk a little bit more about being a teacher
because that was part of reading.
The good teacher never blames
another person for not already knowing something.
I know that when I was teaching smaller children,
of course, it's frustrating.
Their context is not like your context.
Why can they use a smartphone
but they don't know simple mathematics.
That kind of thing
The next one is a good teacher
doesn't get angry.
It's true.
When you're practicing for your public speaking and
if you follow my advice
and you choose to teach somebody,
you can't get angry at them.
You have to find a way to
detach yourself from the situation.
If you made a video,
it's easier to detach yourself because
you don't know your students.
Good teachers can admit
they don't know lots of things.
Even when it comes to grammar,
there are certain times
when I see a sentence,
I'm just like, I don't know why it's like that.
It makes sense to me, as a native
but I'm not sure I can explain it.
Let me get back to you.
Good teachers pick their moments.
If you're talking about something
the it's happening you're going to be emotional.
In relationships, in friendships,
partnerships and between teacher and student,
arguing from a moment of crisis
is going to be difficult and unclear.
Not your best option.
Knowing that and not doing it -
those are two very different things.
Good teachers are also good students.
Keep learning.
That will also make you a good teacher.
Today we're going to talk about
dressing for the job you want
because that leads to confidence.
Postures and standing tall
and the Superman Pose.
Let's start with dress for the job you want.
Dressing for the job you want is different
than dressing appropriately.
When people talk about dressing for the job you want
or dressing for confidence.
That's not the same as just appropriate.
When you're getting on a stage,
you don't want to be uncomfortable.
And pull the... and push down....
The other point is if you're wearing your nice clothes
and you feel like people will see that
and they'll say, 'Yeah, he looks good.'
Or 'She looks good.'
Then you're not worrying about that
and then you're more confident.
Remember it's all
about how people perceive you.
So dressing more than appropriate.
Dressing up is better for public speaking.
It will give you confidence.
Posture.
Everybody knows you should stand up straight.
Everybody knows you should sit up straight.
Everybody knows, right?
Everybody knows that, but what you don't know is
what you're actually doing.
That's why one of my suggestions
for practicing public speaking is video recording.
Video recording will show you where your shoulders are.
If your shoulders are like this
and if your head is down
and if you're reading on your paper -
Then you're doing it wrong.
This is not what people want to look at.
No way.
They want to see you.
They want your shoulders back.
They want you to stand tall
and they want you to be confident.
If you are looking to change your posture
Then let's talk about one more, and that is ...
The Superman Pose.
This is actually my personal favorite
because it's kind of like the fake laugh-
As you remember, I have a great fake laugh.
I am not going to do it. I did it last time....
Like the fake laugh, it gives you a momentary boost.
Something you need to boost your confidence.
This is before you go into the room,
where you're going to speak publicly
before you get on stage,
before people can see you,
you're going to stand with your legs apart
your one arm on your hip
and one arm in the sky.
This is like when Superman is about to take off.
You're going to try it.
Don't try it now.
You don't need it now.
Try it before a big event,
before you go to meet a bunch of people
when you're feeling a lack of confidence,
bad news, something bad happened...
if you do the pose, the Superman pose,
you're going to feel better for about 10 seconds.
10 seconds is more than nothing.
My last point is going to be about fashion.
No, I have nothing to say about fashion
because personally...
I'm interested in fashion.
Just I don't really know how to talk about fashion.
That is, all the names and
the details of the fashion world
are not as interesting to me
as the styles of the Victorians or
the big puffy thing the Queens used to wear.
Intricate lace work.
Japanese kimonos - I think are beautiful
and some of the things
that we do with fashion
that's really strange and unusual.
Those kinds of things are interesting to me,
but Channel and
whoever, brand names,
those are less interesting to me.
When people show a great passion for those things
I don't usually know what to say.
That being said,
there's a reason that people enjoy fashion.
There's a reason the fashion world is so wealthy
and makes a lot of money.
I want you to think about where you stand.
I want you to take a position.
I want you to
tell me your personal feelings and
if your personal feelings are different
than the general mood of your country men and women.
If you could explain, that would be great.
What I want you to do ...
I know you're not going to like it...
but what I want you to do is
write it out for yourself - five six points
that you want to mention.
Don't write sentences.
Don't stand there and read it to me.
I don't want to hear you reading something you wrote.
I want you to have five or six points to hit.
I want you to hit those points.
I want you to tell me what you think about fashion.
I want you to explain why you think that way.
If it's different than the people around you
explain to me why maybe they feel one way about it.
Explain to me why your way of thinking is different
I want you to record it,
upload it to a youtube channel
and on the bottom send me a link.
Can you do it?
It's challenge.
Just follow my rules- just try.
Make mistakes and keep going.
Those are going to get you through a lot of things.
See you next time^^

It's custom for royals to wait several days before announcing the name of any new arrivals, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge not releasing the name of Prince Louis for four days earlier this year
According to the Daily Mail, the wait is so the Queen can be informed of the name choice before it is made public

Lesson 7 part A - Duration: 8:31.
Hello and welcome to Speaking and speech.
This is lesson 7.
Reading for the last was very short,
but I thought it really explained
what a dramatic pause was.
If you have a really big main point,
it's so important to pause before you introduce it
or between two different subject.
If every point is its own individual subject
then I would pause before introducing that next point.
The transition pause is helpful for the audience,
so that they know that information is finished.
I'm moving on to my next information.
And of course, it gives you a chance
to look at your notes.
Take a moment to organize what you're thinking about.
Today we're going to talk about filler words.
What are some filler words?
'Um,' 'er,' 'eh,' 'and,' 'like,'
'you know,' 'alright,' 'okay,' 'so.'
All of these small little words that we use.
You should first identify which ones you use.
You may notice I use 'all right,' 'so,' 'you know,' 'okay.'
Those are the four I usually use
and that's because I'm also thinking about
what I want to say next and
deciding quickly, which point I want to touch upon.
I will use those little words.
Of course, those little words are
also part of common speech
and sometimes I use them because
so meaning 'because.'
If you do A so you should do B.
Because you did A so you should do B.
Meaning I'm not always using those as filler words.
I'm sometimes using a most actual word.
When I do the subtitles
I will take out 'all right,' 'you know,' 'so,'
when it's not part of the meanings.
Suddenly those words do not appear there,
please note that's because it was a filler word
and I shouldn't have said it.
Let's learn what you should do.
First, record yourself doing your presentation
with points not with sentences.
If you're reading your presentation with sentences
I want to tell you that you should memorize those
and in order to remember the order
you should just have points.
To help you identify how often
you use filler words, you can't be reading.
You have to be trying to explain the point.
When you're trying to explain the point,
you're thinking.
Trying to think quickly.
When you're thinking quickly,
you are using filler words.
You have to record yourself not reading.
If you don't have a presentation anytime soon
then feel free to use
one of my speaking challenges - giving an opinion.
On the homework sheets there's a speaking section.
you can answer those questions.
If you don't want to do a whole presentation, that's fine.
Just say what the question is,
say what your answer is
and if you can try to make a follow-up question,
that you would ask someone
if you were talking to someone.
First you have to identify how often you use them.
You should know which ones you use
because then you can change them.
What do I mean?
I mean, if I use 'so,' 'all right,' 'okay,' and 'you know -'
instead of using those --
the reason they're so annoying
is because you keep saying
the same thing, again and again.
And I know it's not part of your speech.
I know it's just you making time to find the next word.
That means, if you change the word
that you use, your filler word,
if you change it with a few other words,
people won't notice it as much.
If you can't break the habit of always using
those filler words, at least reduce it
a lot by using different vocabulary.
Instead of 'so' I can say 'I mean'
or 'therefore.'
There are lots of words to change for 'so.'
On the other hand for the word 'okay,' 'all right,' 'right,'
there aren't that many choices.
You have to drop them.
You have to stop saying.
Instead of saying 'okay'
I should say nothing.
Just pause.
That pause means to audiences
a new section is starting.
Another way to stop using
so many filler words is to slow down.
Part of the reasoning you're using filler words is
you're moving
you're talking
you're making noises with your mouth,
your brain hasn't caught up
and doesn't know what to say next.
That's fine.
Slow down.
If you're speaking more slowly,
you have more time to think about
the next thing you want to say.
Great way to catch up
and get to the next point.
Eye contact.
When you're looking at somebody
and you see their eyes looking back at you
you're less likely to say those little filler words.
When you're on the phone,
you'll notice, maybe even in your own language,
you may say filler words a lot more.
When you're presenting,
remember you're the only person talking.
Just try to make eye contact
with people in the audience.
Like we said 5, 10, 15 seconds.
You can do it!
I know you can!
Practicing.
Of course, practicing will help you reduce filler words
because those words are there
to help you catch up with what you're trying to say.
The more you know what you want to say
the easier it will be to avoid those words.
We don't always have time to practice
and sometimes somebody
asks us something in the middle
and we change our mind
or we change the direction.
Whatever happens, it doesn't matter the reason.
You can always prepare this kind of transitional phrases
like, 'Let's move on for now
and we can get back to this question at the end.'
Or 'Oh, we should definitely consider that
but for now let me finish my presentation.'
Just two phrases.
Just keep those in mind,
have them on a piece of paper next to you.
If anybody stops you, you can say,
'Oh, thank you for your comment.
Thank you for your question.
I appreciate it.
Let me finish what I'm saying
and I'll come back to this issue.
just ask me again at the end.'
There is a public speaking method called chunking.
The chunking is just a method
of putting groups of words together
so that they're easier to express.
I'm going to post an article about it
and a video about it
in the information below.
If you're interested in learning how
to put chunks of words together
it's usually used as a way to remember things.
So you've grouped certain things together
and you say that group
and then you can move on to the next group.
That's why it's helpful to have points.
Each point has a group memorized with it.
Chunking.
Another is using hand gestures
to keep yourself focused.
Keep the audience focus but mostly to help you
so that you don't forget what you're doing.

From the reading - signs of active listening
included nonverbal signs of attentive or active listening.
What were they?
They were smiling, eye contact, posture.
Mirroring -

It's about seven minutes long *(7:50).
The explanation and the video
go together extremely well
so I don't want to redo it.

Lesson 15 - Duration: 9:43.
Hello and welcome to lesson 15.
Today I'm going to talk to you about
how to present as well as a TED talk.
I took information about how to create a TED talk
and I'm doing it because this is really...
All the information I found is a great summary
of the things I've told you
about what you should be doing
to have a great public speaking experience.
First of all, I've told you before
people have short attention span
and so a really great opening
and a really great closing, are really important.
When you're thinking about your opening-
think about what I've mentioned
about how we decide where to pause
about telling an anecdote
about making it personal
because those are kinds of introductions
really draw in the audience.
Then you can keep them by giving them the information
after you've introduced it
in a very strong and powerful way.
Another thing they said was to make it personal.
Give a personal disclosure to relate your message.
It doesn't have to be a secret.
If you've killed someone, you don't have to tell your audience
that you've killed someone.
My anecdote was about what my tattoos mean.
That's personal to me.
It's sharing something from yourself to
the people you're talking to
and that's a big connector.
Engaging the audience by actually talking to them,
is another way to connect with your audience.
Comment on the weather.
Comment on the room itself
that you're standing in.
If people seem energized and happy,
say something about it.
Interacting with the audience in general
is a great way to show them that you're there for them.
Another way to interact with your audience
is the rhetorical question, which we talks about.
Because it makes them think about the answer,
even though they're not expected to say it out loud.
Tell the story your way.
We talked about Louie CK and his joke-telling.
Even if you have a favorite stand-up comedian,
you don't have to talk like them.
Tell your anecdote -
don't try to be somebody else.
Just be you.
Another tip was don't think about your information as
"I have to get this information out to people."
Try to think of your information as
"People will love knowing this."
That's the difference between
my experience as a presenter
and thinking about your audience as in,
what's going to really captivate them.
Another piece of advice:
show what it is and then show what it could be.
So one of the TED talk tips
was first show the situation as it is today.
Today we can only do this,
but the possibilities are endless.
There are infinite possibilities.
Set up your presentation with-
This is the way we see things now,
but we could see them in this way.
Today and the future.
Building it in a story like that
is very positive for your audience.
It gets them excited about the information.
Again another tip was use your voice.
Monotone is boring.
If you are excited, your voice
should be going up and down.
You should be using your volume.
You may have noticed when I get excited
I start to talk a little bit louder and a little bit faster.
Pace and pauses.
We talked about using hand gestures
and eye contact, and smiling.
All of those are a way of pacing yourself,
making sure you are not speaking too quickly.
Pausing.
We talked about pausing, in general. as a tool.
If you have important information,
Just stop talking.
Give your important information
and then stop talking again.
That brake really indicates to people
this is the important part.
This is the part I should be paying attention to.
Talked about using visuals.
Another TED talk tip was
parallels between you and the audience.
So when you're talking about anecdotes
you don't want to talk about the part
where your life is perfect
because most people's lives aren't perfect
and that's not relatable.
What is relatable though is struggle.
Everybody struggles,
maybe not the same struggle.
Everybody has problems.
Everybody is looking for ways
to improve their situation.
So stories about self improving,
about the journey, about the path towards success.
Those are really positive and enlightening things.
Structure your story, so that it's a journey.
The path is difficult.
The success is big and rewarding.
People will follow that story.
That's a great story.
Body language.
We talked about body language.
We talked about how to use it,
when to use it, what kind of body language.
You can go back and watch that lesson if you need.
They talked about breaking the ice.
Breaking the ice is not something we talked about
but I think it's important.
One of the ways to break the ice is
to talk to your audience.
Other icebreakers can be a joke, can be an anecdote.
Those are all ways of kind of saying,
we're not in the meat of the information,
but a preparation, an introduction is an icebreaker.
When you're meeting people for the first time,
a good icebreaker are questions.
Like, 'Oh, hi! How are you?
What do you do?
Oh that sounds interesting.
Why don't you tell me more about that?'
Those kinds of questions are all there
to make the other person feel more comfortable.
One more tip for how to make a great TED Talk
and that is a structure of
what people do, how they do it and why they do it.
A lot of TED talks are structured that way
where they tell you what people are doing.
They explain to you how they do it
and then they explain to you why they do it.
You can use that structure if there's a problem.
You can use that structure even if it's a success.
In the comments section below,
I'm going to give you obviously a lot of TED talks
about how to give the best presentation.
So set some time after this lesson.
If you've gotten into the rhythm
of watching one video every few days
then keep going by watching a TED talk
every few days from this list about public speaking.
The homework will review any parts
you may not have talked about,
such as icebreakers.
At this point, if you haven't made a video
at all throughout the seminar,
please, please, please
this is the moment to do so.
You could go back, you can find any of the suggestions.
The homework has some suggestions for videos.
Tell an anecdote.
Tell a story. Do a presentation practice.
Do a pausing practice.
Telling the story about
some strange food you ate,
a great movie you saw,
a great book you read.
Practice the pausing.
Practice the gestures.
Record yourself. Post it.
You could just email it to me.
Email me a link.
In general, I hope that after watching this,
you sign up for the TED talks and
you go give a TED talk.
That would be amazing!
If you went from an absolute
'I don't know how to do presentations,'
you followed the course.
You did all the practice runs.
You recorded yourself several times,
telling several stories
and then you take whatever you're really good at
and you do a TED talk -
if you do that - please let me know!
That would be an amazing amazing success story.
If you know somebody,
who could use a presentation prep work,
presentation practice -
please send them a link to my seminars,
so that they can use it.
All I ask is that you tell somebody.
All right guys!
This has been a wonderful experience for me.
It's been a lot of work,
but I think it's worth it.
And I hope that I've encouraged you enough
so that you also do the work.
Remember to try!
Make mistakes and keep going!
All right good luck guys!
Have a great great presentation,
public speaking events.
I'm a little tearful about saying goodbye...

The Cuckoo (Polina Gagarina) — Nguyen Le Tuong Vy — Cover (Live) - Duration: 2:00.
How many songs that are yet to be written?
Tell me, cuckoo
sing it out loud
Shall I dwell in town or in the outskirts
Lie as a stone
or burn as the brightest star?
Like a star
My sun, take a look at me
My palm turned into a fist
And if there's gunpowder
give me fire
That's how it is
Who will take up now this abandoned trail?
All the brave hearts left were killed on the field
they are killed
Only few left who are still standing
Few who are sane
whose hand won't falter
lined-up
My sun, take a look at me
My palm turned into a fist
And if there's gunpowder
give me fire
That's how it is
