In today's video lesson I would like to talk about how to order food and drinks at a restaurant,

bar or any place that sells food. We often talk about complex linguistic

and grammar structures, so today I thought I would talk about something that

might be obvious for many, but could be new for others.

I thought many of you might want to learn some practical sentences

to use during your trips to Italy, since

summer is approaching!

There are mainly two verbs we can use to order food or drinks.

And we use the two verbs "prendere" and "volere".

There are obviously other expressions, but if you don't feel creative enough,

I'd only use easier sentences.

Let's start with "prendere".

"Prendere", to order food, is conjugated at the indicative presente tense.

If I am the subject, I'll say "io prendo". If I talk for a bigger group of people, then I'll say "prendiamo",

if we all order the same thing.

We coniugate "prendere" at the present tense of the indicative mood.

For example: Prendo una birra, per favore (I'll have a beer, please). Prendo una carbonara (I'll have carbonara). Prendo un caffè (I'll have a macchiato).

This verbs solves many problems, because it is a polite form to order food and then you

can always add "per favore" at the end, if you want to be more polite.

Waiters and baristas often ask you: "Che cosa prende?".

They also use "prendere", so you can use it in your answers.

Then, there is "volere".

"Volere" cannot be conjugated at the present tense of the indicative mood.

I cannot say "voglio un caffè (I want a macchiato)", because it is very rude.

In Italian we say: "L'erba-voglio non cresce neanche nel giardino del re" (I want doesn't get)".

If you know this idiom, comment below!

"Volere" to order food and Kindly request something

is conjugated at the present tense of the conditional mood.

So we say "Vorrei un caffè" (I would like a coffee).

So please, don't say "voglio", because it is perceived as very rude.

These two verbs are very simple and can help you out in many situations, so

that you don't have to point the dishes you want on the menu to show

the waiter what you'd like to order.

"Prendere", present tense, indicative mood.

"Volere", present tense, conditional mood.

21 Introvert Traits That Most People Find it Weird

Since they prefer to be alone most of the time, and tend to enjoy themselves even among

social crowds, introverts are often misunderstood by society.

But you know what, this is not necessarily true, since probably you don't know them completely.

For instance, introverts are not anti-social, or they are not even depressed, simply put

they just have a distinct personality compared to others.

In many cases, introverts have certain things that only their closest friends understand.

So, in order to uncover more about introversion traits, here are several things about introverts

you may not know.

#1 - Introverts are capable of saying they are busy while they are actually on the couch

laying down and watching favorite movie because being alone is something they love so much

Endless of forced small talk feel like their soul is drained.

#3 - Everyone who thinks of throwing surprise party for them is literally their enemy as

they hate the idea

#4 - Your idea of a group vacation is actually terrifying, especially when they intend to

spend their time alone.

#5 - They choose to not instead of raising questions during small talk to avoid conversation

enjoy some time alone without being distracted

#7 - Having your plans cancelled are actually the good news introverts want to hear.

Well, you're their friend, but the idea of leaving their comfort zone sounds mighty appealing.

#8 - Introverts definitely can make other people to cancel plans but luckily they don't

do it that often

#9 - When they decide to go out after all, you can only really hang out in short spans

before they are ready to make a call and quits.

#10 - Being introvert doesn't mean being judged to hate people.

It's just that they like individuals instead of people

#11 - After work is the definition of me time for introverts, they are surely to steer clear

from any connections for a moment.

#12 - Introverts never run out of excuses just so they can leave party or event earlier

because they can't wait to be alone

#13 - Being in huge party is like a hell for them, so they choose to burn their tongue

instead, rather than attending the party

#14 - Introverts always want to be invited, otherwise it will make them down, despite

they don't really want to go anywhere sometimes.

#15 - Being busy to introverts doesn't mean being busy doing activities with other people.

Instead, it is busy avoiding interaction with other human

#16 - Introverts actually have friends whose characters are similar to their favorite TV

shows and books and those people are their best friends

#17 - What they think as very exhausting thing to do is not the long and tiring physical

exercise but the long talk and conversation with many people all day long

#18 - Introverts hate being distracted with talk when they have their headphones on because

that's the time they want to be alone

#19 - Phone charger is something they often carry around just so they can be focus on

phones instead of making human interaction

#20 - Animals are the ones they look for when they are guilt-tripped into attending an event.

#21 - They can change very opposite routine within only seconds.

Well, those are some of the traits of introverts that most extroverts might not understand.

What is the Best Water to Drink? - Duration: 7:00.

hi everyone Michael Lanfield here and thank you for joining me so I don't

think I've ever done a video on water and today's gonna be a little bit

today's episodes gonna be a little bit different in that it talks all about

water and it's very simple what are my views on water which waters are the best

to drink and all that stuff so again this is from decades of experience and

this is really the best you know best knowledge I have so it really comes from

me so you can take my advice or opinions or you can just say this guy is talking

nonsense so the best water that I have ever experienced is the one that comes

in nature's perfect bundle and that is fruit fruit is number one and I don't

talk just about sweet fruit I talk about you know like high water content fruits

so things like water melons any kind of melons cucumbers

you know peppers bell peppers what else other high water content foods like

citrus apples too but they don't have too much depending on how it's grown how

the food is grown it's grown in rich soil if it's grown in Mechanicsville

then definitely it's gonna have the most water possible now this water is unlike

any other water because it's pure it comes right in the package that mother

earth provides and so it is pure hundred percent pure water purified of water it

has not just water in there it's not just purified it contains a lot of

different nutrients that we actually okay there's a lot of the nutrients from

the food themselves so that is fruit I'm not talking about things like dry fruits

or bananas because those have the least water bananas have about I think about

7075 percent water it's the least amount of water compared to any other fruit so

bananas are the least amount of water but they are damn good as a banana and

ice cream and in your smoothie so the next best water in my view and I I drank

a lot of different kinds of waters and the best would be Mountain water coming

right from the mountain crystal clear so I've experienced mountain water right

from the mountain right coming down from the mountain mountain water is one of

the best and that is the best that you can possibly get now spring water coming

right from the spring is also good though I haven't tasted it I mean yes I

have tasted it in bottles but I don't know if that's really spring water or

what but spring water is the next likely best water source okay and I'm not

talking about from bottles I'm talking about actually from the source okay next

is distilled this still is probably one of the best waters that you can drink

that you can create on your own through machines you know devices things like

that and then after distilled is reverse osmosis and then this goes down and I

wanted to talk about this water it should because of the fact that I don't

trust government's I don't trust the city governments and I don't trust our

municipal water supply I definitely don't

of course I do now I do use municipal water if I'm boiling water or something

like that or using the water for cooking or any time that I do use that water

from the top for children and some people say when you boil the water it

kills a lot of the harmful bacteria some people say doesn't some people say

when you leave water with you know in the container you know open that within

a few minutes it's going to evaporate all the chlorine some people say it

takes 24 hours so there's so many different varying you know answers to

like you know first of all I would not touch water that is top unfortunately we

have a limited supply of we can make our own apparently I can make my own

distilled water there's a machine that we have but it only makes certain amount

so we cannot be pouring in too much of that distilled water into cooking for

cooking so we have to unfortunately use tap water but boiling it is definitely

much better than not so boil the water before you put anything in there and

Michael Greger swears that drinking top waters but that's what he does

that's what I heard from his book how not to die so I don't know I mean it has

fluoride in it it has chlorine in it has so many other things in it heavy metals

and things like should we be drinking that I don't know what do you guys think

Shady Things Everyone Ignores About Elton John - Duration: 4:13.

Sir Elton John has entertained the world with perfect pop classics for roughly half a century.

His bold and boisterous performances - usually with an over-the-top costume or a snazzy pair

of his signature glasses - only enhance his mystique.

But behind all his stardom and philanthropy, the music legend has a bit of a shady streak

that his fans seem to look past.

Here are some of the more questionable stories about Elton John.

Almost blew it

In the 1970s, Elton John was apparently as into powder as the world was into his music.

He revealed in a Today Show interview that he snorted so much of the drug that he's lucky

to be alive.

He explained,

"I'd have an epileptic seizure and turn blue and people would find me on the floor and

put me to bed, and then 40 minutes later I'd be snorting another line."

"I look back on those days with sheer horror."

Fortunately, he kicked powder (and booze) in 1990.

The singer said he's grateful that he came out of it all virtually unscathed, especially

since his reckless years coincided with the early AIDS crisis.

"I wish I'd have had the ability to be a bit more humble earlier on and have a bit more

humility but I'm afraid that's what addiction does to you."

Glasses diva

A tour rider is a document that includes a list of an entertainer's needs, wants, and

wishes while traveling for work, and apparently, a knighted celebrity like Sir Elton can get

away with some pretty interesting requests that border on outright diva behavior.

According to The Telegraph, John's rider demands that there be a second room at his hotel just

to keep his large collection of expensive eyeglasses.

If that wasn't enough, that extra room supposedly has to be set at a temperature of 60.8 degrees

Fahrenheit to, quote, "preserve the accessories."

Fighting words

Few people are as influential in pop culture as Elton John, but Madonna definitely ranks

up there.

One person who isn't the biggest fan of the Material Girl?

You guessed it: the Rocket Man.

"She looks like a f---ing fairground stripper."

In 2012, not long after Madonna played the Super Bowl halftime show, John used his sharp

tongue to brutally criticize her.

"She's such a nightmare, sorry.

Her career's over, I can tell you that.

That tour's been a disaster, and it couldn't happen to a bigger c---."

He also publicly questioned her 2004 Q Award nomination for best live act.

"Since when has lip-syncing been live?

Sorry about that, but I think anyone who lip syncs in public on stage when you pay like

75 quid to see them should be shot."

In a 2013 interview with Extra, John and his husband revealed that they ended up apologizing

to Madge by sending over a note to her at a restaurant - and buying her dinner.

"She was very gracious, I apologized profusely, because what I said should never have appeared

in public."

Hit job

At one point, John almost paid the ultimate price for running his mouth about other people's

private business.

In 2002, the great Liza Minnelli married music producer David Gest.

Alluding to perceptions that the flamboyant Gest was secretly gay, as well as to the fact

that Minnelli's first husband, songwriter Peter Allen, was a gay man, John reportedly

remarked,

"[I'd] like to buy Liza Minnelli a heterosexual husband."

According to The Sun, that nasty joke made Gest so angry that he allegedly ordered a

hit on John.

On the one-year anniversary of Gest's passing in 2017, his best friend and bodyguard, Imad

Handi, claimed Gest gave him $25,000 to, well, do away with John for good.

Handi says that days before the scheduled hit, he got cold feet and successfully begged

Gest to call the whole thing off.

Yikes.

Aggressive pursuit?

In 2016, a former bodyguard named Jeffrey Wenninger sued John, alleging various acts

of harassment and battery.

As CNN reported, Wenninger claimed he began moonlighting as a security guard for John

in 2002, and that he was subject to, quote, "unwelcome" physical contact from the singer.

Wenninger said he deflected John's come-ons - with words and actions - but that allegedly

didn't deter the pop star.

In a statement, John's attorney called the allegations, quote, "patently untrue" and

said,

"[Wenninger is] a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment."
