Can't Stop Sampling #1 - Duration: 10:44.

hi I'm Takeshi

hi I'm Takeshi I'm 35 years old from Japan living in Gifu City Do you know

where Gifu is? It's located in the middle of Japan between Tokyo and Osaka the

north of Nagoya anyway it's a good city and the capital city of Gifu

Prefecture where I was born and I grew up and I speak English a little bit but

not so good cuz I'm Japanese if you guys can understand what I mean from saying that's

okay no problem who cares I hope my English will be getting better

and better of course I speak Japanese in my daily

life and it's easy for me to speak Japanese but I'm gonna use English in my

vlogs because it's hard it's tough I want more people to watch my videos I don't

like to play safe and in my vlogs I will show you around my hometown my favorite

places my favorite food my favorite music

whatever sometimes I go out

sometimes I go eat out

yummy

sometimes I go shopping

and sometimes go

just hang out

I'm gonna kind of talk about why I started making this vlogs the reason why I made this vlog

first I'm a big fan of vlogging style videos I started to watch

vlogs for learning English and learning English by watching a lot of vlogs in

which people speak English and click on the English subtitle button and listen to

what they say and dictate what they say every single word this is how I'm learning

English It's so much fun to see vlogs some of them are so funny

some of them are so heartwarming others are so cool stylish something like that

also I can learn about different cultures because there are so many

vloggers all over the world and they've got different ways of thinking they've got their own philosophies it depends on kind of where they're from what they wanna make

what they wanna talk about what makes them keep creative I wann a make videos like that

fortunately I know how to make beats how to make music to some degrees

especially hiphop music because I wanted to be a musician when I was s kid

what's difference between me and other vloggers I'm gonna make my music including my vlogs

I love Casey Neistat's videos and I love him so much

because I like the way he uses music in his vlogs I can find some kind of essence flavor of

next this is the most important reason why I've made this video I want you guys

to know about an attractiveness of sampling

see 30 years ago you had the first digital samplers and they changed

everything over night all of a sudden artists could sample

from anything and everything that came before them

Do you know something? Have you ever heard of it? if you love dance music or club music or whatever

of course you do sampling is used in so many genres that you might be listening to

music that contains sampling without knowing it sampling is a way of making

music using old vinyl records or CDs or radios or whatever

ok let me google it according to Wikipedia sampling is the act of taking a

portion or sample of one sound recording and reusing it as an instrument or a

sound recording in a different song or piece

but the thing is they were

sampling those records because they heard something in that music that spoke to

them they heard it they wanted to be a part of it all the sudden they found

themselves in possession of the technology to do so

to make long story short

okay I love Pete Rock I love Primo This is JERU THE DAMAJA I love Wu-Tang Rza MF DOOM Q-Tip Madlib J Dilla and J Dilla rest in peace

Dev Large rest in peace nujabes in peace I love

so many track makers who have made sampling become

art

anyway real quick let me explain how sampling is gonna be used right now

it's like this

this sample just one chord I'm gonna make this sample pitch down

okay like this

one thing I love about sampling is you can make music by accident

That's it I'm gonna make new beats or sometimes I might rearrange these tracks

to make them more attractive because some of them are still rough mixed

version but I don't make sure how frequently I can because I have a

full-time job which means I have a little time each

day but I don't want to make those things become excuses anymore I'm gonna

upload next video as soon as possible so it might be every week it might be every

other week it might be once a month I don't know one thing I want to say is

I never quit which means in Japanese "Tomattte Tamakka"

this is my favorite word in Japanese it is also one of my favorite Japanese hip-hop

classics performed by Lunch Time Speax and Dev Large remix is super super

cool by the way anyway I keep trying no matter how busy I am

alright that's it if you like this video please click on the subscribe button

below and thank you thank you so much for watching this video see you next time
