Waching daily Dec 28 2017

Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power

Rangers and then discuss it!

Today, we're exploring the eightieth episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as

the twentieth episode of Season 2, titled "Opposites Attract".

At the Youth Center, Billy and Trini are talking about a device that Billy has built.

He's going to be monitoring a solar storm today with it.

Kimberly shows up with her friend Laura who is going to help her lead the Angel Grove

Angelettes into the forest to show that they know how to use a compass and earn a badge.

Seems sketchy, if you ask me.

Also, Billy and Laura are immediately taken with one another, and Trini pokes fun at the

situation with Billy.

Billy says he'd join them, but she's the outdoors type, so they must have nothing in

common.

Shallow, Billy.

Shallow.

Zedd is also now aware of the unstable magnetic field that is going to occur from the solar

storm, and he plans to utilize this opportunity.

At the Youth Center, the Angelettes show up, and Kim gives them a box to carry before Bulk

and Skull come in, screaming at little girls.

They also have a device to send a message to the Power Rangers via a satellite, and

Billy warns them to be careful.

Laura says she's a little worried about the storm, and Kim says, "we have a compass,

what could go wrong?" when we smash cut to Zedd going "plenty could go wrong!".

It's great.

Oh, and Jason, Tommy, and Zack are working out together.

At the Billy's lab, he looks at a monitor saying it'll happen soon.

Cool.

In the woods, Kim and Laura have lead the Angelettes into the forest, and they tell

them to walk around, and if they find red flags, they've gone too far.

Also, if they get lost, they'll be using the buddy system, but worse comes to worse,

sit down and scream for help.

Dude, that's not going to save them at all.

They could be abducted by predators!

Speaking of which, Bulk and Skull are also in the forest with a machine, trying to see

if their machine is working to send that message to the Power Rangers.

Billy is in a park with a giant magnet device and a bunch of equipment, and Zedd sends down

Goldar, and Billy just starts beating the crap out of the putties and Goldar.

Damn, Billy, you really glowed up.

Unfortunately, Goldar steals the magnet anyways, and Billy takes his frustrations out on the

putties.

He wins, and he states he has to get back to the Command Center.

Goldar is… still in the park despite having teleported away, and he sets the device down,

which Zedd turns into a monster named Magnetbrain.

He's going to control the planet's polarity, and we see that the compasses that the little

girls have are freaking out while everyone in the juice bar is getting knocked all over

like it's a damn earthquake.

And money is just flying out of the cash register?

This isn't how a planet's polarity works at all.

But then Bulk and Skull are freaking out, and their machine sparks before a fake ass

bear shows up looking like he's about to box them.

Kim and Laura hurry to the Angelettes, and Zedd says he wants Goldar to go down with

putties to kill Kim.

Kim is going to go look for the forest ranger like they're going to know what to do, and

she calls Zordon, teleporting to the Command Center to meet up with the other five rangers.

They get caught up about Magnetbrain, and they decide to split up with Tommy going to

fight Goldar and the putties by the little girls, and the others will fight Magnetbrain.

Something weird here is that Billy insists he goes instead of Tommy, and Zordon basically

says "no, you're too smart for this", so they split up.

Then, Magnetbrain attacks the five core Rangers before putties show up, which leads into Tommy

showing up to fight putties and Goldar by….

Flying through the air?

They're getting a little string happy here.

The Angelettes talk about how cool the White Ranger is because of course they do before

it's back to watching the Rangers fight the putties, and Kim just… climbs a pole?

Tommy defeats all the putties, finally dealing with Goldars to the tune of Go White Ranger,

which is Go Green Ranger with the color replaced basically.

The others are still fighting putties before Magnetbrain fires at Jason, who flies off

of a bunch of piping, and he and Zack are getting attacked.

Tommy kicks Goldar hard enough to make him disappear while Kim throws a putty into a

cardboard box.

This is the most boring episode ever.

Jason calls for the Power Blaster, and the group bring them together, firing at Magnetbrain,

who flies away.

Zedd then makes him grow, forcing the Rangers to call out their Thunderzords, forming the

Thunder Megazord, which they still refer to as the Mega Thunder Zord.

Magnetbrain fires a magnet at them, sticking it to them, but they just rip it off before

they just take out the Thunder Saber and brutally murder this dude, causing Billy's device

to return.

At the Youth Center, Kim and Laura give the Angelettes the bravery badge because they

didn't panic during a serious situation.

Then, Bulk and Skull come running in, screaming about how the bear is still following them,

and the Angelettes help them.

Then, Laura sees Billy, hitting on him and telling him that she actually knows science

and stuff, which Billy is totally into.

The Angelettes help Bulk and Skull, and the Zack and Jason laugh with the others when

this episode just abruptly… ends?

This is a rough one, guys.

You can tell the writers are REALLY struggling with Dairanger footage with Zyuranger suits,

and it's showing the cracks of this three cent production.

Unfortunately, that's not the worst news I have for you.

This is the last episode three of the Rangers were even on set for.

From now on, they'll be played by stand ins, almost exclusively dubbed by impression

voice actors in suit, and they'll just not be around most of the time.

Which three?

Well, the next episode will make that abundantly clear.

Trust me.

Other than that, let's see how they try to write episodes about six characters with

only 3 actors in the next episode, but until then, may the power protect you!

Mild weather continues with poor air quality _ 122817 - Duration: 1:55.

Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates.

Michelle, I hear fine dust in the air is expected to ruin tomorrow's mild and comfortable weather.

Yes Daniel, the mercury is expected to rise higher than today, but the air quality will

be poor especially in the western part of the central region.

It might be tempting to go out and enjoy the mild weather, but check the levels before

you do.

Seoul will start off the morning at zero degrees Celsius while Daegu and Busan begin at zero

and 2 degrees.

Into the day, expect milder conditions.

Seoul will reach 5 degrees, while Gwangju and Busan will be higher at 9 and 11 degrees.

This last weekend of the year will be comfortable, temperature-wide, but there will be some precipitation.

And as we enter the new year,... prepare to face some frigid weather next week.

Seoul's last sunset of the year is expected at 5:23 PM and the first sunrise of the brand

new year will be at 7:47 AM.

The fastest sunrise that you can see will be at Ulsan,... so make sure to check out

the times in advance if you are heading out to see them.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in says 'comfort women' issue cannot be settled by 2015... - Duration: 3:01.

President Moon Jae-in used emotion charged words to define the 2015 Seoul-Tokyo deal

over Japan's sexual enslavement of Korean women.

Confirming once and for all, the controversial accord struck during the previous administration

is simply unacceptable.

Our chief Cheongwadae correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

Comfort Women... is an euphemistic term referring to the tens or even hundreds of thousands

of women from all around Asia, mostly from the Korean peninsula, who were forced to sexual

slavery by the Japanese military before and during the second world war.

In December 2015, the governments of South Korea and Japan announced an agreement that

the two sides called "final and irreversible" claiming it settles a decades-long impasse

over the sexual slavery issue.

Unworkable... is what the new South Korean President Moon Jae-in called the 2015 agreement

reached under his predecessor as it is faulty in procedure and content on Thursday... a

day after a state-appointed panel concluded that the agreement, in which Japan agreed

to provide funds for the dwindling number of survivors had failed to properly communicate

with the victims before reaching the deal.

In a readout by his spokesperson, the president said the agreement was seriously flawed and

cannot solve the longstanding issue.

(Korean) "This runs afoul of the established universal

principle of the international community for settling history issues, and above all, it

was a political agreement that does not include the victims themselves and the Korean people."

The South Korean leader ordered follow-up measures to resolve the dispute with Japan

over the sex slavery issue.

(Korean) "Despite the burden of the past agreement

being a formal promise between governments that was ratified by the leaders of both countries,

I, as president, along with the Korean people, make it clear again that the "comfort women"

issue cannot be settled through this deal."

Following President Moon's remarks, a Japanese foreign ministry spokeswoman reiterated Foreign

Minister Taro Kono's comments that any attempt to change the deal would be "unacceptable"

and make relations "unmanageable."

(Korean) "From Japan's perspective, this whole situation

can be quite baffling as these are the terms that the two governments agreed on.

So, the current South Korean government will have to come up with some kind of diplomatic

measure that takes account both their relations and satisfy the public sentiment as well as

the victims themselves.

It would be most ideal if it can negotiate a way with Japan to revise the 2015 agreement

to reflect South Korean public sentiment.

(STAND-UP) "It isn't clear yet how the South Korean president

who still enjoys a near 70-percent approval rating at seven and a half months in office...

plans to take this issue from here on out but many experts see it as unlikely that Mr.

Moon Jae-in will scrap the deal altogether... as it could spark a full-diplomatic row with

Japan especially now when Seoul and Tokyo face pressing needs to form a strong united

front against North Korea's growing nuclear threat.

Bê Bối Kinh Khủng Tại Trường Mầm Non bị Che Đậy | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm DUyệt - Duration: 12:41.

On this episode of China Uncensored,

there are some pretty shocking rumors

about what's happening inside Chinese preschools.

Let's just say,

this episode is not suitable for children.

Welcome back to China Uncensored.

I'm Chris Chappell.

Over the past 40 years,

China has seen stunning economic growth.

And for some people in China's growing middle class,

it can feel like everything is great

and there's absolutely no downside

to living a country where they're allowed to make money

as long as they keep their mouths shut on politics.

I mean, does politics really affect our lives?

So it comes as a shock to many in the middle class

that the same authoritarian regime

that's ok with arresting anyone who speaks out

and savagely torturing Falun Gong practitioners

is also ok with letting horrible things happen to the people they love.

Like their children.

I take you now to the RYB Kindergarten and Daycare in Beijing—

an expensive school targeting upper middle class families.

According to the school motto,

it's where children take their "first step to a colorful life."

Why, look at all the eager parents

flocking to enroll their kids!

Except, that's not why they're there.

They're protesting.

"Police are investigating allegations of horrific abuse that went on inside,

the youngest victims only three years old.

Parents are accusing teachers and staff at RYB Kindergarten

of sexually abusing their children,

making them stand naked as a punishment,

stabbing them with needles,

or making them swallow suspicious white pills."

Wow.

And when I was in kindergarten,

I complained about nap time.

"After hearing from other parents,

I asked my child,

my child said they take two white pills after lunch every day.

They go to sleep after taking the pills."

I wish I could say that was the worst of it.

But besides those accusations,

"The most troubling accusation comes from

the mother of a 3-year-old who spoke with Tencent News...

The parent says that her child told her

that kids at the kindergarten were given regular 'health checkups'

by an 'uncle and grandpa doctor'

in which they were made to stand naked

while one of the doctors was nude as well."

Wow.

That makes Harvey Weinstein seem practically like a normal...sexual predator.

And even a kindergartener knows that when

"uncle doctor" starts taking off his clothes,

that's not how you play doctor.

According to one allegation,

a teacher threatened a student by saying,

"I can hear whatever you say

and see whatever you do

because I have a very, very, very long telescope

that can reach your home."

I mean, it is kind of believable.

China is a surveillance state after all.

And you know what?

I wish I could say those horrible allegations were it!

But there are also allegations

that the Chinese military was involved.

Which sounds outrageous.

But it struck enough of a nerve

that the Chinese military actually responded.

And they never respond!

"A Chinese military commissar

issued an extraordinary statement

adamantly denying rumors

that People's Liberation Army officers were implicated in the alleged sexual abuse.

Those who spread the rumors, he warned,

would be pursued for 'legal culpability.'"

Now I wish I could say that was it.

But, no, there's more.

See this Chinese official visiting an RYB Kindergarten in November 2016?

That's Meng Jianzhu.

He was China's top security chief,

and a powerful member of former Jiang Zemin's political faction,

which opposes current Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Meng Jianzhu had praised RYB Education,

and there are rumors he may have even profited from it somehow.

So there are rumors floating around

that all the negative publicity about RYB

is actually part of a strategic political takedown of Meng Jianzhu,

and that it's tied to high-level CCP power struggles.

But even that's not all of it.

Because authorities have reacted to all of this by—

you guessed it—

telling the media to cover it up.

As if that would make the problem disappear.

Really.

"If you can't see it, it doesn't exist"?

I think someone needs to go back to kindergarten.

But there's a silver lining to all the sharp needles.

At least authorities have arrested two people in the scandal.

Wait...what's that, Shelley?

Oh.

Ok.

Apparently one woman who was arrested

was not some teacher accused of stabbing her students with needles,

force-feeding them pills,

or making them play doctor.

She was actually detained for "spreading rumors" about the abuse.

As state-run media The Global Times writes,

"Rumormongers and those that maliciously spread their rumors

must face punishment and be held accountable according to law."

Now I know what you're thinking.

Spreading rumors doesn't really seem like

the worst part of all this.

Well, here's where it gets even more complicated.

After days of investigation,

the Beijing police released a statement

saying that they found no evidence of sexual abuse at the kindergarten.

They said they arrested one teacher

who had been pricking kids with needles

when they wouldn't take naps.

Yeah, what kind of horrible teacher thinks that

poking children will sharp objects

would help them sleep?

But police also said the rumors of children being fed pills

and forced to "play doctor"

were fabricated by parents,

who are now willing to apologize.

Sounds like the police are covering up something, right?

But in this case,

they might actually be...correct.

Some of the disturbing accusations,

like the kids being injected with unknown substances,

are commonly seen in Chinese urban legends.

Like how when you were a kid,

people always warned you about someone passing out

apples with razor blades in them during Halloween.

And this wouldn't be the first time

that fear about child abuse in preschools

triggered mass panic.

It even happened in America.

During the 1980s and 90s,

there was a string of highly publicized cases

about daycare child abuse in California.

It made the national news.

Accusations of sex abuse,

satanic rituals,

even drinking giraffe blood in front of children.

"Authorities now believe that at least

60 young children were victimized,

and that the ultimate number could well be much greater."

The evidence was based primarily on interviews with the children.

Several daycare teachers were thrown in prison—

only to be found innocent

and released years later

with a big fat apology and millions of dollars in compensation

for wrongful imprisonment.

It turns out,

child testimonies are unreliable,

because kids often tell you the answers

they think you want to hear.

I mean, adults do that too, I guess.

But when bad stuff might be happening to your kids,

you freak out.

It's what you do.

Which is why,

when it comes to RYB Education in China,

even a seed of truth can quickly snowball into mass hysteria.

And some of the accusations are apparently true.

The needle stabbing part, for example.

I mean, there's photos of the needle marks.

And this is not the first time scandal has hit the RYB.

RYB Education operates 1,800 kindergartens

and day cares across China.

It's worth over 750 million dollars.

It's also listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

And as they say,

"Mo' money, mo' problems...

with rampant child abuse."

"In 2015,

four teachers at an RYB Education kindergarten

in Siping, northeast China,

were charged with using sewing needles

to jab more than 20 children on their heads, mouths and limbs."

Ok, seriously,

what is it with the sewing needles?

And earlier this year,

at another RYB Education kindergarten,

a teacher was caught on video kicking a child.

So there's already widespread public sentiment

that something might be wrong at RYB Education.

But with some of the more recent accusations,

the evidence is harder to find.

There was video of a toddler telling his parents

that his teachers gave him white pills

to make him sleep.

But that video has been taken offline.

And it was only a child talking to his parents,

not firsthand evidence.

That doesn't mean it's not true.

There's just a lack of evidence.

And the allegations of sexual abuse—

at this point—

are also still just allegations.

Ones that police are now dismissing.

Police say that independent doctors found

no physical evidence of sexual abuse in the kids.

And, according to state-run media,

"The police checked the 113-hour-long recovered surveillance footage,

and didn't find any evidence of anyone committing child sexual abuse."

Of course,

I don't exactly trust state-run media.

And neither do a lot of people in China.

And that is exactly the problem.

Under the Communist Party,

authorities have covered up

so many scandals for so long,

and issued so many censorship directives,

that Chinese citizens area little skeptical

when reporting on an issue is suddenly squashed

and any online discussion is heavily censored.

In the environment the CCP has created,

it's almost impossible to tell what is true

and what is false.

So it's basically like one of those

"choose your own adventure" novels.

Except it's "choose your own conspiracy."

Do you believe there was sexual abuse?

Turn to page 61.

Do you think the military was involved?

Turn to page 84.

Did this involve high-level power struggles within the CCP?

Go directly to jail.

The public outcry over all this is totally understandable,

because there's so little trust

that authorities will expose abuse even if they find it.

Since the story became public,

the Ministry of Education has vowed

to put an inspector in every kindergarten in Beijing,

plus launch a much larger investigation.

But that's just not very comforting to the parents, who,

understandably, now believe the authorities are constantly lying to them.

And child abuse does happen in China.

"Since 2010, news media and internet sites

have reported more than 60 such cases

of physical abuse at Chinese kindergartens and child care facilities."

State-run Xinhua has reported,

"968 cases of sexual abuse against children

were recorded nationwide between 2013 and 2015,

involving at least 1,790 children,

with many remaining unreported."

In 2013,

the LA Times reported that

in just three weeks,

"Nine cases of sexual abuse in Chinese schools

involving more than 30 children

have brought the neglected crime to light."

And while those reports also caused outrage at the time,

a lot of those cases happened to poor people.

But this time,

it's happening to the upper middle class—

people who for a long time

were pretty happy with the system

that let them make money and live comfortable lives.

And there's a widespread belief

that if anyone gets in trouble with the authorities,

well, it's because they did something wrong.

Just keep your head down, and trust the system.

But now there are rumors of terrible things

happening to their own children.

Authorities tell them they're investigating,

but the parents think they're covering it up.

And maybe they are—

it's impossible to know.

And who can they turn to now?

This is what the CCP's system of censorship and control does to society.

The question is,

is this scandal enough to actually affect their rule?

Or will it all blow over next week?

Too bad we can't flip to the end to see.

That would be cheating.

YouTube Goal Setting For 2018 - Duration: 4:05.

Have you set goals that you've never achieved? Do you want 2018 to be your

breakthrough year? Today you'll learn five goal-setting tips to help your YouTube

channel grow in 2018 and several mistakes to avoid. Hello my name is

Herman Drost from drostdesigns.com if you want to grow your audience on

YouTube and generate traffic leads and subscribers on autopilot hit the

subscribe button or hit the bell notification icon if you're like me

you've probably set a bunch of goals last year that you never achieved so how

can you prevent this from happening again

number one begin with the end in mind describe your perfect year what do you

want to achieve by the end of 2018? Do you want to attract 10,000 new

subscribers? Do you want to get more leads and sell more products? One of my goals

is to achieve 40,000 subscribers by the end of 2018 I also want to challenge

myself to do more collaborations. I also want to get more brand deals and paid

sponsorships number 2 reflect on the past 12 months identify the specific

things that work for you what parts of your business plan brought in the most

revenue? Also identify the things that didn't work. Perhaps you tried to sell a

new product but it flopped also identify the things that you loved doing because

you want to do more of that if something's working already and you

love doing it then keep doing more of it it's easy to keep doing things that

you're passionate about and work well rather than start something new if

you've developed products and courses that have generated revenue perhaps you

can repurpose them into other products. Click the card icon to download my

channel evaluation worksheet you'll receive a step-by-step checklist that will help

you evaluate your own YouTube channel you'll also receive specific tutorials

that will show you how to make the necessary improvements number 3 create

an action plan for the first quarter of the year create a list of the areas that

are going to bring in the most revenue in the first quarter of the year this

will help motivate and energize yourself to create new products number 4 repeat

the process for the other quarters reflect on a previous quarter then make

adjustments so you can improve on what you did before if there's something that

didn't work well maybe you should ditch it

number 5 keep your goals in sight you've probably heard of the saying "out of sight

out of mind" perhaps you've written your goals down on a piece of paper and filed

it away never to be seen again or perhaps you

created a document on your computer but can't find it anymore

the best thing you can do is to keep your goals in sight so you can check in

on them every once in a while to see if you're staying on track I pinned the

goals on my wall next to my computer so I can see them easily it's a good idea

to revisit your goals every week so you can stay on track here

are several important things to keep in mind

don't make large goals you cannot keep if your goals are very big you're

probably not gonna keep them and you're gonna get discouraged yearly goals are

too long and you probably forget them instead break the years into quarters

and set quarterly goals schedule time to revisit your goals once a week look at

your goals at the beginning of the week to see if you're staying on track

start with areas you're already good at instead of trying something new which

requires more effort try to repurpose what you've already done for instance

you might have created a video course that you can transform into an e-book

make your goal public choose a goal that you normally keep to yourself and figure

out a way to make it public this could be a new product or starting a new

website take action unless you take action on your goals your dreams will be

unfulfilled you'll then lose motivation and inspiration and never end up

achieving your goal let me ask you an important question what is one goal that

you want to achieve in 2018 post your answer in the comments below I'd love to

read them and I'm sure others would too if you want to know how to get motivated

and stay motivated for 2018 click the card icon I truly want you to have a

successful year in 2018 if you want to learn how to grow your audience on

Valk Power M Unboxing | My Cube Store - Duration: 4:16.

Hey guys, welcome back to a new video.

In this video, I'll be unboxing the new Valk Power M from My Cube Store

Without further ado, let's get straight into it.

[Music and Unboxing]

This is the box..

Let's take a look at the box

[Opening the box]

It actually looks really cool

And the box is magnetic, which is really cool.

Like the snap

Let's take a look at the inside of the box

There's like a cushion here to prevent your cube for damaging.

There's a pamphlet which contains....

Extra magnets....

Hmm...what is this? I'll check it later

And there's Mats Valk, some CARDS and a sticker from Valk

And there are some QR codes

Let's take a look at the cube

The plastic looks really cool like the primary plastics

The shades look a bit different than the Weilong GTS 2M.

The red from Valk is darker. As you can see

Let's go ahead and do some first turns.

[Turning the cube]

Hmm... It actually feels really smooth

And the magnets are a bit stronger than the stock version. Which I like

You can hear the clicky sound

The tension is a bit.....it's ok

The corner cutting

The reverse corner cut

It's a bit tight for me because you can't really corner cut that much

Let's do some solves on this cube

[Scrambling]

[Inspection]

[Solving]

This cube is a bit fast for me because sometimes I overshoot and undershoot

And you can see the pieces, like white/primary plastics in it

It's just very cool, like an illusion.....?

Overall, I think it is kind of a good cube and the feeling is really smooth

For people who DON'T have this cube, if you already have a Valk 3, I think it is good enough.

But if you really want to try this cube, you can check out the link in the description or try it from your friend.

And that's it for this video. Hope to see you guys in the next video. Peace out!
