How to Make Instant Pot Popcorn - Duration: 2:08.
Hello everyone.
This is Stephanie Manley with CopyKat.com are diminishing and make popcorn here.
It's hot.
So if you haven't gotten it out of the box,
It's a great time to do that.
So we're going to begin by setting that instant pot to saute and then hitting the adjust button
just once.
This should make the pot a little bit hotter it's going to take a couple of minutes for
it to get hot but then we're going to make popcorn the old fashioned way.
So once it gets hot I'm going to add a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil in here.
Now you don't have coconut oil.
Guess what oil works are really good.
I wouldn't use butter because the butter scorch and burn so just let your oil know to make
sure it gets nice and tight flaky you like a good anything good make popcorn.
The old-fashioned way.
So I am going to add in popcorn next.
So this is a much healthier alternative the popcorn out of the microwave.
I'm adding Flavacol it is a brand of popcorn seasoning, I put the link down below,
This is what movies theaters use in popcorn and what they use in popcorn machines.
And we need to put the salt in while I'm popping the popcorn because that way spreads out a
little bit more.
You get that nice coating of salt rather than shaking it on afterward.
Hope you get this to try.
You can use regular popcorn salt.
It ends the granulated much more me.
Or is it much smaller grains than people thought.
So it's just a great alternative to yours.
Now if you notice here I'm using a glass squirt from another pot instead.
Pot does make wine like to leak down below.
You can pop popcorn like you normally would.
You're going to wait till about two-thirds of it pops.
Then you will turn off the Instant Pot.
And.
You have popcorn.
There you go.

Do restaurant staff eat leftovers?
At a US independent fine dining restaurant thats trying to manage costs, surplus food that is safe to eat from mis-fires (wrong or refused orders), too much supply, or incorrect order/delivery either gets:.
promoted by the waitstaff (our halibut is especially tasty tonight) used for comps (the chef would like to send you out a ceviche on the house) reworked into a special of the day if not prime quality or failing inspection, cooked as part of a staff meal or used for stock, sauces, dishes that dont matter (e.g.
If all else fails it can be given to staff and owners to take home. There are also charity services that pick up extra shelf-stable or prepared food. .
Informal staff meal at Wafu in Portland, leftovers just taste better. All of this is at the discretion of the chef on duty, whose job it is to keep food costs in line and to keep staff from stealing.
Its pretty informal, extra food, wine, flowers, bread loaves, half empty wine bottles, cases of energy drink, pig carcasses (dont laugh), etc. , often get put on a countertop where where its understood theyre free for the taking.
But staff members arent supposed to nibble off the leftovers without permission: thats undisciplined, unsanitary and it encourages theft. To set an example, the chef wont do that either, other than necessary tasting.
Sometimes, but usually not. Many restaurants (and their accountants) find the barrier between eating leftovers and stealing the companys food to be too fine to negotiate. As a result, employees eat either specially prepared meals or regular meals sold at a discount.
Thats like asking do people like Country and Western. Some do, some dont. Thats a question of restaurant policy and restaurant culture.
Those are just eaten by the least well treated of staff. No one who works in food should ever have to be so hungry they have to eat someone elses food off a half-eaten plate. Sadly it happens, especially in chain dining.
Then there are the theres more in this pan than I need leftovers. Theyre eaten when they can not be reused, theyre a loss for the place anyways.
Itd be a shame, a disservice, and a disgrace to the animals who died for this food or workers who labored for it, to throw it away. Stuff like that doesnt make a full meal, though.End-of-shift leftovers are another matter.
Theyre a direct loss for the kitchen. Might as well eat them, yes, but theyre also a sign that your chef sucks.
A good kitchen has very little leftovers at the end of the night.Soon-to-expires do happen. Even in very good places, just much less than in not so good ones.
Theres no reason not to eat what cant be sold and would go bad otherwise. Read above about disservice.Now for the meat of the matter.
No employee of a restaurant should ever have to eat leftovers. Were working in food, this would be a little bit like a cobbler going barefoot.
A good restaurant has family meals (cooking for the staff by the staff) and a good policy about taking things for oneself as long as its not excessive.
In my places I have always insisted that food, coffee, water, and soda is free, as well as one or two alcoholics after shift.
Ive also worked in a place where our benefits included ten percent off your meals here, at which point I made it a habit to walk in there with food from a competing restaurant or the nearby McDonalds.
Its just bullcrap to have such a rule.On the turn, if the staff doesnt want to eat what it cooks or serves, would youwant to eat there? See.

What's an amazing loophole you found regarding free food?
A few years ago I was hanging out in a London squat, with some people who had just moved in. At some point, one guy showed up with a huge black plastic bag of anything sushi.
There were individual items containing anywhere from two to several rolls. The contents of the entire bag would have probably been sold at around 300–400 GBP.
Any major London chain restaurant will dispose of any uneaten food at closing time. They put everything in large black bags, and leave them on the pavement - they disappear pretty quickly. Dumpster diving is fairly popular in London.
In many large cities - especially in major centers of software technology like New York, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago - you can get insane quantities of free food and free goodies by attending free technology events.
Meetup, Eventbrite and more specialized lists like Tech & Startup Events In New York will tell you when and where the events are. Other than working for the big tech companies like Google, some of the best free food can be found at hackathons.
Hackathons are workshops that are often free and often run overnight, in which teams form to build something new very, very quickly. The participants are fed during that time.
At the end, the teams demo what they have made and there are usually prizes.
Yep, the sodas and coffees these contestants are having would all be free. And so are these pizzas.
Often, people don't even make it to submitting a hack, and some come in to visit rather than enter. So, you don't even need to compete in the hackathon to enjoy the free food.
Hackathons are filled with young people recently out of college, although older entrants aren't unheard-of. Some are just learning to code.
You would fit right in if you went through the courses on sites like Codecademy. Overnight hackathons will give you a place to be for the night, and many people sleep on a chair or bench.
