Waching daily Mar 20 2018

Letty: Migos' latest video, "Walk It Talk It" featuring Drake, pays homage to

"Soul Train," the music and dance TV show that debuted in 1970, in a few ways.

Let's start with Jamie Foxx's character.

Jamie Foxx: Good evening everyone I am Ron Delirious here with the culture ride.

Don Cornelius: Welcome aboard I can guarantee you'll enjoy the ride.

Letty: Don Cornelius, a former news reporter, was the creator and host of "Soul Train."

It was his take on a then-national favorite.

Cornelius: The principle inspiration for Soul Train was American Bandstand and Dick Clark.

I wanted to do a black Bandstand.

Letty: "American Bandstand" was a music performance show that aired from 1952-1989,

and was hosted by Dick Clark.

Letty: Migos' seventies throwback also includes the show's iconic Scramble Board.

Foxx: We are going to find out, which way does the culture ride go!?

Ladies and gentlemen, there you have it.

Foxx: The answer is Dat Way!

Letty: A bit of classic choreography.

Letty: The staple for any party, the "Soul Train" line.

Cornelius: The soul train line was something that we used to do at parties in Chicago

in the 50s and 60s probably.

And I just borrowed it.

Cornelius: It just caught on as the highlight of every "Soul Train" show.

Letty: And what neither the "Walk It Talk It" video or "Soul Train" itself would

have been as lively without:

the dancers!

Letty: As a matter fact, "Soul Train" is responsible for one of the world's most

iconic dances.

Interviewee: From popping came the backslide,

later pegged the moonwalk.

Cornelius: Michael Jackson saw this dance and he thought is was amazing and he wanted

to learn it.

And so we all showed Michael how to do the moonwalk.

Letty: "Soul Train" aired its last episode in 2006, after 35 seasons of historic performances.

You can thank Migos for this walk down memory lane.

Do the players understand each other? - Duration: 14:20.

We couldn't fit all the questions into the first part of the video, so this is the second part.

Associate your teammates with Dota heroes.

Danya, have you ever tried a short or bald haircut?

I haven't tried bald, but a short haircut... Depends on what you consider short.

I had a rather short haircut a couple of times, I tried it.

Beastmaster, Batrider.

How many hours do you play Dota 2 in a day?

6-14 hours a day.

Okay.

Bulls**t.

How do I improve my skill?

Play a lot, and watch your replays.

And sometimes watch other teams.

You can watch them sometimes, yeah.

The default one, I don't know which one it is.

What's your attitude towards girls playing Dota 2?

Does he mean Virgo, a zodiac sign?

Slightly worse than Scorpio, slightly better than Aries, but not as good as Capricorns.

Right now I'm not studying anymore, I just play Dota.

I dropped out of University in the second year.

I think it would be different, I'm not sure if it would be better or worse, but definitely different.

Talking about Danya, he displayed an immense desire to be a drafter and captain,

it'd be wrong to shut down his desire,

so he got a chance to try this role during those three tournaments.

Dendi, what's the most annoying support apart from Naga and Disruptor in the current meta?

Have you ever tried Elder Titan as a carry, if yes, what do you think?

Most annoying? - Elder Titan.

I tried him as a carry, it's not bad, but there are better heroes.

If I have a chance, I'll definitely show how it's done with Pudge again.

That's a great question, thanks. We'd probably kill it once or twice at the International.

What's the weirdest habit of your roommate?

Scratching head, a lot, during the night too.

What do you feel? Annoyance?

It's funny.

I started in 2013, after dropping WoW.

I watched some videos about Dota and started playing it, but I made some breaks.

Sometimes the game bored me, and I'd play CS during the breaks.

I was 13 years old back then.

A question to Lil. Are you ready to become a drafter and captain, if needed, bearing the responsibility for the results?

Do you think you've grown enough to move the team forward?

Yes, of course, I offered to become a captain when we just got together and didn't have a leader.

I said I was even willing to change my role, to spend a lot of time doing everything, watching replays of top teams, inventing strategies.

But as I've said, we decided to give Danya a chance to try.

Talking about my personal growth, after the whole VP situation I matured a lot, not only as a player but also as a person, I see the world differently.

I think I'm ready to be a leader, I've always had the qualities,

but there always was a person, who had more developed leadership qualities, so it was hard.

Right now I think I'm ready.

There's a chance I'll change my role if needed.

I'm constantly working on expanding my hero pool.

It depends on the person, sometimes it's easier, sometimes harder.

All people are different, but it's quite easy for me.

I think you should ask others about how it is for them.

Probably leaving lane to jungle.

Because this allows enemy supports to rotate off the lane and the enemy carry to free farm.

Plus jungling now gives little exp and gold, which makes it inefficient.

I think the shuffle didn't really work out well for me,

because it takes me a while to get used to people and adapt to changes.

New people joined the team, our play style has changed, we had to start all over.

My performance has slightly dropped lately, I'm trying my best to get back in shape.

How many jokes does Vitya crack every day?

If talking about really funny ones, then very few.

But overall, Vitya is a pretty funny and very peculiar guy.

I don't know what else to say about him.

Why did you stop picking Enigma, SF, Dark Seer, Sven after Puppey left the team?

Where's your aggressive pushing style?

Why does Dendi not play his signature heroes?

I think we still pick SF.

Dark Seer, Enigma, Sven are not really current meta heroes.

Although we do pick Enigma for Vitya sometimes.

Our pushing style didn't go anywhere, it all depends on the draft and the style of play in a particular game.

We have yet to determine what play style suits us best,

since we've only been playing together for a month,

we were trying to focus less on testing out strategies [and more on getting our teamwork going],

because if we weren't on the same page during practices,

we would have probably performed even worse than we did.

We had to prepare for a Major with very little time at our disposal.

In most of our games, SF is either banned or we pick him.

Enigma... Unfortunately, this team hasn't had that many good Enigma players since Puppey left.

We're not there with Dark Seer either.

We used to pick Sven when he was in the meta, but not he's not really a meta hero.

Look, Lina's available in every game, nobody picks her, but Danya gets the privilege.

There's no key, I just played a lot, particularly heroes that I wanted to practice.

What helps you keep your morale up and turn games around after a bad start?

Probably the desire to win.

We know why we don't always do very well.

And speaking of early game, we realize we are not the strongest individual players,

and in general, not the strongest team,

so it's not a big deal if we mess up in early game and get behind in networth.

Though we're quite good at adapting to the situation and pulling off comebacks.

So we don't get demoralized if something's going wrong.

There are drafts aimed at winning lanes,

and there are team-fighting combo lineups.

We played the Naga-Disruptor combo a lot,

which is not the strongest laning, but good comeback potential.

The real game begins once supports hit level 6.

Crytstallize, who's your waifu?

I don't even know what it is.

Well, I do, my waifu is Asuna.

Is waifu your chick?

No.

What does it mean then?

Let's not.

I believe that we have the potential.

I think every person has.

It all depends on one's desire.

I believe if a person is strongly motivated and has the desire, then that person is bound to succeed.

There's an interesting phrase: "There are no limits except for those that we impose on ourselves"

We all are fired up to play Dota and do well, and I think eventually we will.

I don't know, it's hard to say...

Favorite hero is probably Rubick, my second favorite is Earthshaker.

The best hero... That's a hard one, too.

All heroes have different roles.

Let's go with Rubick.

Too bad I didn't have a chance to show off my skill with the hero,

it happens, but I think I'm pretty good at Rubick.

Seriously, though, there are a lot of nice things and perks about it:

getting recognized, doing what you love and earning income from it,

traveling, hanging out with a lot of interesting people, some are not even from the Dota world.

I don't know, you feel like you matter. It's probably awesome.

Before joining NAVI, of course I would consider this offer.

Not because I didn't want to play for NAVI or something,

originally I really wanted to play for NAVI

and sometimes, the thought would cross my mind that I'd like to play on a European team.

It's a completely different mentality there, everything's different, people look at life differently.

Also, the possibility of personal growth,

in terms of having to go abroad and speak English more, which is great I think.

So why not?

I'm so boring.

No, why.

Right, Stas?

Boring.

A question from Yana Khimchenko.

What turned out to be the most difficult thing about coaching?

Inability to influence the outcome.

You do a lot of work together, but in the end, you just observe and nothing can be done about it.

Well, you can do something afterwards: discuss, correct mistakes,

and next time should be different.

But it's not always the case.

Not being able to do anything while observing,

"What are you doing? Why? Come on"

It's really difficult.

I'm dealing with it, but it's hard.

How I Get Ready With My Disability - Duration: 9:45.

- Eyebrows are the (bleep) of the face, really.

If they're not good, then all your makeup is just not good.

(acoustic guitar)

Hi, my name's Marna Michele

and you guys are gonna get ready with me.

It might be a little different than what you're used to

because I have arthrogryposis.

Basically I have a lack of muscle and a stiffness of joints.

So I do have a rough time getting dressed,

or putting on my makeup, or brushing my hair.

But I've just adapted and I've figured out

how to do it for myself.

Instead of a primer I use a moisturizer.

This is a Clinique moisturizer.

You can see that I'm lifting my arms

differently than the average person.

I lift my right arm with my left arm.

I can't do it the other way around.

SO I unscrew that, and again

my hands are a little stiff in the joints

so it's a little hard to unscrew some things

and I definitely have to pay attention to that

when I go and I buy my makeup.

So I just apply this under my eyes

and then a little line on my nose,

you know, the whole Kardashian thing.

I love makeup.

This is Sephora, they make a spray freaking can of makeup.

I'm gonna actually spray this onto my face.

And I might get it in my hair

so don't judge me if I do.

Then I just kind of rub it in.

Doing my makeup is honestly like a workout

because I'm using every muscle I have to lift my arms.

See, I use my head sometimes

and I just hold the brush still.

And it's kind of like a dance.

Then next thing that I use is

I do my own version of contour.

Which, I call it non-tour because it's not contour.

It's just a lot of bronzer.

This is called Master Hi-Light by Maybe It's Maybelline.

I do a lot because I'm gonna later blend this all in.

I do a lot.

So the next thing I do is

I take my Bare Minerals matte powder

and I just put that all over my face.

Then next thing I do is I take

the best thing again made ever for disabled people.

This is blush in a bottle from Sephora.

I definitely need a countertop

because you have to shake this

and I can't do this movement

comfortably without a counter under my arm.

But if I don't have a counter here

I do lift my arm like this and then I shake it like this.

But it's a little more tiresome

and I don't really prefer doing it that way.

I just spray it and it's gonna make a dot.

And i just kind of rub that into the apple of my cheek

there you go, I'm a little plum berry.

I don't know what that means.

This is the same thing I used before,

Maybelline, and I just go into the crevices of the eyes.

And I definitely just move the brush like a rainbow.

And then, this is what people laugh at me for doing,

I go under the eye.

When I get to the left eye, it's a little harder

because I'm reaching.

So I have to put both elbows on the counter

and I lean in and I kind of go over the rainbow

and I just kind of move my head more.

So the left side's definitely harder than the right side

but I think I do a pretty darn good job.

So next I'm gonna be doing my eyebrows

which is the hardest part next to eyeliner,

especially for me.

So I use the Anastasia, or Anastasia, which everybody uses.

That's why I do my makeup in the sink

because no matter what I drop, it's just there.

I am gonna make every makeup artist so mad right now.

Because I put so much of this on here.

And then I pray to the eyebrow gods,

let me do good job.

And I take my hand and I rest it on my left hand

and then I have to tilt.

And it looks like it's gonna be so much,

and it's 'cause it is.

I wish I knew how to do this when I was in high school

because Marna did not know how to do makeup in high school.

She had big brows, caterpillar brows I'll tell ya.

And I kind of just draw on like, fake hairs, and I blend

so it looks like I have eyebrows here.

I just gotta do a quick shoutout to my father right now

who gave me the weirdest eyebrows.

They're shaped like little caterpillar rainbows.

And I just like go across,

and does it really ever match? No.

But do I act like it does? Yes.

I'm gonna name you Susan.

You look good Susan, you look good.

And there you go, Marna's got brows now.

They're more like cousins rather than twins

but I mean, Susan and Jeff look real good.

This is eyeliner and it's yellow.

I bought it because I was doing a photoshoot

and the woman told me be colorful.

And I wear a lot of black, and I'm like,

okay I'll be colorful with my yellow eyeliner.

Who am I? Marna.

And I love yellow eyeliner now, it's my best friend.

And I just kind of swiftly apply it.

Look at that.

Oh man, I just, I feel so cute.

Fierce Flicks.

I got this in my Ipsy bag.

I love eyeliner pens.

This one's really hard for me to open too, not gonna lie.

You know what?

We're gonna get real handicapped with this guys.

I'm gonna be vulnerable for you,

you wanna know how I'm gonna open this?

Okay, we're gonna do both hands.

I just can't do it.

Sweaty hands, gonna brush them off.

And then.

I did it!

We got this open.

And then I just swoop.

It's a little bigger than I wanted it to be.

So now I just got to commit to the size.

Get a little thicker.

And you just got to be brave.

I take the Great Lash Mascara and I definitely pride myself

on being one of those people

who just doesn't have to go, oh my god.

I'm definitely excited that I know how to do makeup now.

And it's not perfect, it's never gonna be perfect.

But if I look in a mirror and I feel like I look gorgeous,

I'm fine with it.

I take my favorite in the world lipstick,

the logo is gone.

Frick Frack, Frick N' Frack, that's what it's called,

Frick N' Frack.

I like to do the inside of my lip first.

And then I go to the corner

and I swoop down.

So I'm just gonna blend one more time

after I apply all the eyeliner

and the lipstick and stuff like that.

I think it looks pretty good

and then I apply my favorite, highlighter.

This is by Urban Decay, yeah.

Naked.

Like my motto with everything else,

I don't care what people say,

I'm gonna wear a ton of it.

I pat it on, oh look at that glow though.

And I do this side.

Next I'm gonna do my hair.

So I brush it all forward.

I can't lift my arms up, obviously,

so curling my hair, I do it very different.

I use this little guy.

It's so old, it's a Conair Instant

and it's still got the clamp.

And I just kind of grab a piece of hair with the clamp

and oops, and I turn it,

and I kind of just hope for the best, really, honestly.

And I have to do this a couple times.

I just grab big pieces

and it's never gonna be a perfect curl.

I kind of brush it here first

and then I get on the top of my head

and I brush it all through

because the back is definitely some place I can't curl it

and I try to find like that cute curl to show.

And I schuge it up.

I feel so pretty.

I feel like this is my look,

people say oh you've got the Marilyn Monroe hair,

how do you do it?

And I'm like, I have no idea how I do it.

But I just showed you guys.

That is me and my morning routine

of makeup and hair and I hope you guys like

what I did, 'cause I love it.

Next I'm gonna show you guys my wardrobe

and how I put on some pieces of clothing.

Okay guys, so we're in my closet.

I wear a lot of dresses, loose fitting stuff.

I like high waist jeans or leggings, that's my jam.

A nice crop top, oh my god I love crop tops.

And flannel, I really like flannels.

I am only four foot,

being in a wheelchair it's a little different

to wear clothes that are on trend.

And sometimes I have to like, really modify

the clothing myself.

So there's a safety pin up here

and it's in the neckline of the shirt.

So I do it for a lot of the collars.

So my mom suggested I cut a slit up the back.

And what that does is it loosens the whole tummy area

but it's still relatively tight up on the bosom.

So you're still feelin' feminine

but also feeling super comfy.

And then you have this cute little,

like peekaboo in the back.

Pregnancy jeans are nothing to be ashamed of.

Why do you only have to wear them when you're pregnant?

Jeans dig into the sides of you.

And with this little extra piece that stretches

for the pregnant belly it makes it a lot easier

and a lot more comfortable.

My feet are very small so high heels

and wedges don't come in my size.

So to feel like more adult and chic

I'll put on like a nice cute ankle boot.

And I can get those like anywhere.

Like they make really cute kids ankle boots nowadays.

So I have three of my favorites right here.

I have this really cute soda shoe.

And it's open on the sides, it's got the cute buckle,

the cute heel, which again I feel super adult.

Normally when I put my jacket on

I make sure not to have lipstick on, but that's okay.

So what I do is I bend down

and I bite the collar of the jacket.

And it's in my mouth, and then I find the hole,

and I get it in, there's one hand.

And I kind of just throw it.

And I get it hooked on the back of my chair.

And then I grab that, and then

I kind of just wiggle into it.

And I make funny movements.

And I do this in public.

So I know that you saw a lot of things

done differently today

and I hope that it will make you want to try out

putting your makeup on different

or brushing your hair different

or putting on a jacket differently

because maybe you'll find the way it works for you

'cause I found a way it works for me.

When You Don't Want to Drink - alcohol advice for teens+young adults - Duration: 3:22.

*sip sip sip*

Hydrate or die-drate, y'all.

*sip*

When I went to write a video about alcohol and social drinking, it got really serious

and really weird, so this is gonna be the opposite of that.

The main thing I want you to take away is that if you have never drunk, if you don't

want to drink, if you drink right now, but you would rather move into doing other things

in your free time with your friends, you are not alone.

Sure, lots of people like drinking and they'll incorporate it into any social activity

that they can, but lots of other people don't, even if you can't find them in your instagram

feed or wherever right now.

[screenshots of an instagram page called "drunkpeopledoingthings" pan up and down]

*sips*

You are the only person who knows what makes you most comfortable, so you are the one with

the power to adjust things in your life so that whenever you do or don't encounter

alcohol, it's on your terms and you are the happiest and healthiest that you can be

in that situation.

You can decide who you're friends with, or, if you have a big dumb heart like me that

doesn't let you cut people off, you can decide which friends you only see in certain settings.

Maybe you love Jen, but she likes to get blackout drunk on the weekends, so you stick to seeing

her in the library after class for a couple of hours because then you get to enjoy her

personality and presence in a context that's pleasant for the both of you.

You can decide where you like to hang out based on whether there's the possibility

of alcohol being there or not and the kind of environment that it creates if it is.

For instance, I don't go to parties or clubs because that's the kind of place where drinking

is the main activity, people drink to get drunk and socialize in that way, and I do not like it.

If you want to go to a show where they're selling alcohol, you can consider the way

that the venue is laid out and bringing a friend or a group of friends so that you have

a task force and you can do your own thing if people get rowdy or if things get otherwise uncomfortable.

If you want to avoid alcohol entirely, you can do things like go for walks or hikes,

or go shopping, or go to the movies, or stay in and make a really nice meal…the possibilities

are pretty endless. [a list of activities scrolls up the screen]

And you're not boring because of it.

People will want to do these things with you.

Assuming that, like me, you're a nice person that's a gosh dang delight to be around.

*cheesE*

I have felt isolated and I have friends who have felt isolated before, so I just want

the youths to know, from a 23 year old who has always had issues with alcohol, has never

wanted to be around it, and thought that that meant I was babyish and that my friends would

always keep me at a distance for it—that is not true.

Drinking does not have to be a part of how you make friends and stay close to them.

When you're up front about who you are and what you want from your interactions with

people, 9 times out of 10, they will meet you on it.

And if they don't, congratulations *party horn*, you just found a weed in your friend garden and

you have every right to pick it and throw it over the fence.

Setting boundaries and building your relationships the way you want them to be is your responsibility

and that work is definitely worth doing for yourself.

SO,,

Hi, I'm Kim and I'm the type of person who makes up a metaphor like "friend gardens".

I would love for the comments to be full of your stories like the time that I drove a

bunch of tipsy friends back to camp after a night out.

I became their favorite person just because they asked me to take a detour when we were

early for curfew and I did it.

Maybe I was a little uncomfy, maybe I got a little bit lost, but they had a great time

jamming to my 90s and early 2000s playlist, and we got home safe, so my duty was done.

If you'd like to stick around, you can subscribe via the sububble, and I will be back to shout

loving words at you another time.

Bye!

The Law of Tithing - Part 2 - Talking to Mormons - Duration: 6:12.

Elder Young You see, tithing has very little to do with money.

Tithing has more to do with faith.

Chris Sounds like you're trying to move the focus

away from the monetary and toward the spiritual.

Elder Young That's right.

In Mormonism, tithing is part of the duties of sacrifice and consecration members are to follow.

Chris Are members expected to pay tithing on their

Elder Smith Depends on whether you want gross blessings or net blessings.

Our scripture says that tithing is one-tenth of all our increase, before anything else

Elder Young Let me read a verse from

This was a revelation from the Lord to Joseph Smith the Prophet in 1838.

This is probably interpreted to mean that we pay tithing based on our gross income.

If you read on verse 5 says,

That sounds more like a threat from Joseph Smith - I'm pretty sure God doesn't work that way.

Elder Young We consider it a warning to live the law so that,

we can be with Heavenly Father after this life.

Chris It appears that fear is often used as a motivator

to get Mormons to pay a full tithing.

As a former Mormon, I often heard the term "fire insurance" associated with tithing.

Elder Smith That idea is taken from Doctrine and Covenants,

Section 64:23 let me read it,

In other words - pay up or get torched!

Chris I remember how the Bishop of the Ward

put so much emphasis on the payment of tithing.

It was a frequent topic of Sacrament Meeting talks.

It was also emphasized regularly in lesson manuals and introduced to Primary children

at a very early age.

Elder Young That's because we believe it is a law and commandment of God.

Chris And to be sure the LDS are honest about their

full tithe-paying, members are called into tithing settlement at the end of the year

to meet with their Bishop and be reminded to settle any unpaid tithes.

Wanda Sounds like an IRS audit to me!

Elder Smith We are not considered members in "good standing"

if we're not paying a full tithing.

We cannot receive a recommend to, attend the temple if we don't pay a full tithe.

We cannot hold a high-profile position in the Church if we're not full tithe-payers.

Chris I just can't image Christ's apostles having

yearly tithing settlements and requiring followers to pay ten-percent of their income

before being allowed in the temple.

Does that sound biblical?

Elder Young I don't remember reading about that in the Bible.

Chris What if one year an active Mormon gave ten-percent

of his income to various charitable organizations that really needed the money such as a Hurricane

Fund or the Red Cross?

And he even provided receipts to prove he really paid what he said he did.

Would that count - instead of giving the ten-percent to the Church to use?

Elder Smith I'm sure the Bishop would be glad to see

him supporting some worthy charities.

But since he did not pay any money to the LDS Church,

it would not even be considered a partial tithe that year.

The Bishop would tell him that he would have to pay his tithing to the Church,

in addition to what he already gave other charities, to be considered a full tithe-payer.

Chris So, it seems clear that the man sacrificed

the full amount of money he was supposed to, and helped many people who really needed the assistance.

But since the LDS Church did not benefit financially from the sacrifice, then his ten-percent offering

doesn't count as far as the Church is concerned.

Elder Smith Well…kind of. I guess!

Chris If tithing was a New Testament law, shouldn't

Elder Young I agree. It should come from the heart.

Don't Christian churches require the payment of tithes?

Chris Unfortunately, some do.

But there is no New Testament basis for it.

The early Christian Church did of course, practice giving.

Their charitable giving had two functions - to support those believers who were poor,

and to support the Apostles and other Christian leaders in their ministry.

God does not expect a specific amount or percentage.

Nowhere under the New Covenant does God threaten believers with the fires of judgment, if they

fail to pay a tithe or even neglect to give money or offerings of any amount.

God is a generous, giving God, and his people SHOULD be generous, giving people.

Tithing per se, however, is not a mark of true Christianity.

Elder Young Guess I never realized how much freedom God has given us.

Chris Elder… neither did I, when I was a Mormon.

But now, as a Christian, I understand that God has provided the only reliable, trustworthy

fire insurance policy that will protect everyone who has it in the Day of Judgement.

Elder Young What's that?

Chris Well… here's the good news – Jesus paid the price to,

insure that those who put their trust in Him alone, will be saved at that day of Judgement.

No works, including the payment of tithes are required - only faith in Him who redeems

us.Wanda I love that!

11 Reasons A Website Is Important For Your Business - Duration: 12:11.

in this video I want to look at the reasons that you need a website as I

explained in my last video I've currently got three websites this first

one is giving away free images the second one is a blog blogvisuals and it

talks about using images and videos to help your marketing the third one is

exploring avenues and that's talking about how to work online and travel the

world I probably spend more time on the YouTube channel than I do on the

websites and that's because I'm using the YouTube channel to actually get more

people rather than using SEO I think a YouTube channel is better for getting

subscribers and getting attention getting people to look at what you're

doing and then the idea eventually is to put them in an email list or to get them

to go to the website and maybe look at products or look at courses and things

like that so the website comes later but the first thing is to get the people

actually interested which is on YouTube I've got eleven reasons here that you

should have a website and let's go look at them so number one is so that people

can find you this is a search on Google for the site blogvisuals.com which is

one of my blogs if you do here site:blogvisuals.com then it lists all

the pages that you've got listed in Google and here I've got 294 pages

listed so people can find me in different ways if they're looking for a

certain type of information like here text animation or maybe they're looking

at Halloween marketing then they can find me that way

or they can just type in the name blog visuals and Google will find that as

well so there I've got 294 results and that's just an additional way to get

people as well as my youtube channel if I look at the other one here blogpiks.com

that's the free pictures and then you can see that people searching on

business images or travel images or background images can find my website as

well number two is credibility

if you don't have a website then you're not really showing that you've got any

stability or trust and people expect it if we look at this website here by Miles

Beckler which is one of the people I follow on YouTube

then straight away you can see him and that builds trust then it's a nice

design so you can see he knows what he's doing

you can see that he's got social media channels and then he's done lots of

posts and it's just all building trust and making you believe that he knows

what he's doing number three is that you control it it's

your design your content you can monitor all the comments at the bottom and you

can delete comments if you don't like them and you're not reliant on other

people if you're only on Facebook or only on YouTube then you're reliant on

their algorithm for getting people to come to you once they come to your

website and especially if you then get them to join your list then you can go

to those people directly and if you've got a website they can come to you

directly let's look at an example of that so this guy video creators he's got

a YouTube channel that's all about how to use YouTube to build subscribers and

get people interested in what you're about

he's got three hundred and sixty thousand subscribers but even with all

that he still has his own website and if we look at the website what he's doing

he wants you to click here to download his 30-day guide and then he'll get your

email address from that and then he can update you with different news or maybe

with a new video that's come out maybe sell you a product or just give you some

other information that you might be interested in so he's then got a contact

direct to you rather than through YouTube number four is to showcase

products or services if we see here this is singer's website they've got a blog

you can go to their support and look at different things but they also showcase

their products so here you've got featured products and these are on sale

and down here you've got the latest products so they're able to show

you the products and quite often you can buy these online directly number five is

so you can build an email list this is a page from miles Becker's site on this

page the only thing he features is his course here a seven step blueprint and

when you join this you'll have to enter your email address so that you can

follow along with the course this is very difficult to do in YouTube or

Facebook I used to use Aweber for getting emails

but I then moved over I did a lot of research on which one was the best and

I've changed over to using active campaign I've actually turned it off at

the moment because I'm using YouTube to get people and I want to put this on

once I've got maybe up to about 400 or 500 subscribers then I want to start

gathering email addresses but I want to concentrate on YouTube first and then go

over to this number 6 is so you can have a blog this works in conjunction with

your email list and also works in conjunction with the YouTube channel

because sometimes I refer people from the YouTube channel over to a list of

something that I've made in the website in the blog so here you can just see

some examples then this is an article on how to make video promos and then

this is using social media to schedule using buffer so you can put the

information here send out an email direct them to your website or you could

send them to your YouTube channel and then sometimes I'll direct people from

the YouTube channel to here or from Twitter to here and things like that

again another thing about having a blog on your own website is that you control

it you could have one on wordpress.com which is actually a hosted solution but

then you have to follow their design and they could change something they might

want to delete a page or say that it's not appropriate and there's nothing you

can do about it but if it's a blog that's on your own website then you're

in control of it and it's up to you number seven is so you can have custom

email addresses if we look here then this is a typical

gmail address so maybe I'd have to do blog visuals 43 at gmail.com that's just

an example but it doesn't look good and it doesn't look professional here we can

have something like Stuart@blogvisuals.com if it's for something

informal then that's quite good you can put your name in there if it's something

more formal you might have info at blog visuals .com or sales at blog visuals

.com and you can also separate these so it might be someone wants customer

service or sales and you can have different email addresses for each one

so it helps you segment them and maybe if you get big and you want different

people to deal with different things then this will be very useful number

eight is so you can have affiliate links if you're getting Commission for

promoting something maybe a software or a product then you don't really want to

have a very long URL if I look at my youtube channel here then you can see

like here I've got a link it goes exploringavenues .com/explaindio

and that would take you to that software and then I've got fiverr

over here that would take you to Fiverr or one here subscribe and that will

actually subscribe you to this YouTube channel if I did these as the correct

URL they would be really long and they wouldn't be very useful either another

thing that's good on a website is if you're using WordPress like I am then

there's a plugin called pretty links and what it can do as well as making those

links that I just showed you here I use pretty links for this it also

means that you can replace certain words in your text with a link and it does

that automatically once you set it up so here you can see that this is a link to

the software and I didn't have to do that it just found that word and made the

link number nine is so you can add free or paid courses this software here is

lifterLMS and it's a plugin for WordPress it means you can then make

courses that you can either sell or you can give away maybe to get

someone's email address you can organize several lessons into one course and you

can have it where when they finish one course they go on to a new course number

ten is so you can make landing pages we looked at this one earlier from miles

Beckler and we call this a landing page because there's no way that you can get

out of it except for clicking on the course you don't want the menu and you

don't want the stuff at the top it's just basically that it's got one purpose

and that purpose can be to get email addresses might be to schedule a call it

could even be to buy something but the good thing is with your own website you

can make it your own design you can try different things you can even split test

to see which one works best and then decide on the final page number eleven

and the final one is that there are many plugins that you can use to enhance your

website so there are articles like this 24 must-have WordPress plugins for

business websites in 2018 and let's just have a look at a few of those so you've

got a plug-in here that works as an opt-in to optinmonster there are different

companies who do this gathering of emails and if you've got a favorite one

they've probably got a plugin for WordPress here's another one

to make different forms then this one works together with Google Analytics to

look at where your customers or your your viewers are coming from and what

they're actually doing on the website

this one here is to add some security to your website this one is for backing up

which is important you can backup to the cloud places like Amazon and it just

means that if you have any problem with your website you've got a backup that

you can just reinstall you've got ones here that help you with SEO which means

that people will find you easier on Google this one is a cache so it

actually makes a different version of the page that will load really quickly

this is a similar thing for speeding up but it uses the cloud to

actually store a copy of your pages so that it makes it quicker this one here

is a gallery for images this one is a membership part so people can join be a

member of something maybe you can make a small community of people who are doing

a certain thing so you can see here there are a lot of things you can do

with a website these are plug-ins for WordPress but even if you're not using

WordPress you can still do a lot of these things anyway

DIY guitar so you can shred like my favorite rock god Jose Feliciano.

Here's what you'll need: a shoebox, rubber bands, which of course I

got from the rubber band man

Hi everybody, it's a pleasure to be here what a

fabulous day - the sun is shining

The guy with the elephant right?

Oh, forget it! It's ruined, the whole thing is ruined

look at this it's terrible. I'm I'm a failure, I'm never going to craft again

That's no way to be with it whatever you life gets you down there's

always a song, there's always a song to sing

[GUITAR PLAYING]

🎶 In the blue ridge mountains of Virginia

🎶 on the trail of the lonesome pine. In the pale moon shine our hearts

🎶entwined where she carved her name and I carved mine

🎶 Oh, June

🎶 Like the mountains I'm blue

🎶 Like the pine

🎶 I am lonesome for you

🎶 In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, on the trail of the lonesome pine

You know actually I feel worse

Well get used to disappointment
