Where Old Hollywood Meets The New: Atlanta's Marcel | Where Hollywood Eats | THR - Duration: 4:15.- There's that quote steak dinner.
When we succeed this or when you turn this,
I'm gonna take you out for this steak dinner.
There's something about celebrating
over a big piece of meat
and a big glass of wine.
Hi, I'm Ford Fry
and we're at Marcel on the west side in Atlanta.
This is Where Hollywood Eats.
Every time we start a restaurant
or I'll start something, I have
to put it all down through photos and so forth.
I knew I wanted to do a Frenchy steakhouse
and I knew I wanted to kinda pull back
from the early days of Continental cuisine.
I was thinking like boxers are always mentioned
in steakhouses, or old boxers who've kinda gone
to retire open steakhouses,
so I thought it'd be fun and kinda silly.
There's always some sort of element of humor added
into everything we do.
The humor of Marcel was bringing it back
to 1970s-era New Jersey
where all the chefs were
imported from Europe
and all doing pretty much the same type of food,
the same menu, little dark, dim-lit candles on the table.
When you come in, you feel like you're somewhere else,
you feel like you are in another time,
in another place, and everything is just over the top,
whether it's from the highest in quality meat
that's here to the seafood to all the old-school
tableside stuff that's being done.
It's just like a theater, almost.
I think the film culture has been huge for Atlanta.
They come to Marcel all the time.
I mean, it's like every Friday or Saturday night,
someone's filming here.
Atlanta doesn't bombard them.
I mean, I think everyone notices them,
then they try to leave them alone.
I think people are just pretty excited
to kind of see what's going on
and all the filming going on.
It's pretty new for the South.
Everyone asks, "What do you put on your steak
"to make it so good?"
And it's not what we put on it.
We want it to be the best quality in the city,
no matter what it costs,
no matter what we would end up having to charge.
Consistency, the highest level and consistency was
the most important thing.
And then it's all about just preparing the meat
and then the way we do that,
which I think is kinda the way I would wanna cook
a steak for myself.
My favorite cut of steak,
and it's really the cap of the ribeye.
We're taking this little curve piece
off the whole ribeye because that one little piece is
absolutely the best part.
It's not big chunks of fat on this.
It's just little lines or little dots
and that's what's gonna make it really, really flavorful.
Seasoning then with some good olive oil,
Maldon salt, fresh-cracked pepper,
and then start it on the grill.
When I cook steak, I love to get a little wood on it.
It's gotta have like a little wood flavoring.
Then we're gonna rest the steak
and then just kinda let it settle down a little bit
and get really soft
and then the magic really comes
at the very end, when we pick it up,
which is a big knob of butter and beef fat,
fresh thyme, smashed garlic,
and then we're just gonna bathe that
in that buttery, fatty mixture,
and that's gonna form this crusty layer
over the top.
Then we're gonna serve that
with some fresh, house-made fries
and a little bit of that pan butter over the top.
There always needs to be
that little dredging factor
of the steak that you can dip your fries,
and that's it.
What I love about cooking is
I love ingredients.
I think it all just starts with ingredients,
and so my goal is to figure out how
to cook it respectfully,
how to get the most flavor
out of that one ingredient.
We traveled a lot.
My grandparents, my parents, they took us
all over, so food was really important in my family.
I think our job is to provide an experience
for our guests and when they leave,
you know, I want them leaving saying,
"Wow, that was a great experience
"and well worth everything."
But at the end of the day,
we never really take ourselves too seriously.
It's just food.
It's just a good time,
and it's about really providing a place
for people to come and hang out
and enjoy their company.

Experiencing Carnival in Venice Italy | Hidden Gems and Travel Tips - Duration: 17:25.Beautiful sunny day here in Venice.
Just sitting on this little patio at our Airbnb.
Got a really good deal on a pretty central Airbnb.
But the most beautiful thing about Venice is just all the little back streets
and the side canals and just wandering and getting lost.
It's going to be pretty hectic over in the Piazza San Marco,
which is where all of the festivities for carnevale will be kind of culminating later this afternoon.
But until then we're going to walk around.
We're going to get lost.
We're going to talk a little bit of history,
kind of feel out the city, and then we're going to take it over to the Piazza San Marco.
As you may know Venice is full of tourists,
but people do still live here, even though the population has been steadily falling for the last 50 years.
There still are Venetians
But the practicalities of daily life in Venice are pretty mind-boggling.
Even something as simple as taking out the trash,
as you can see, is quite the operation.
People have to go door to door.
You give your trash to the trash guys.
They wheel it over to a main canal where it's basically
craned onto a boat, like a trash boat, and then taken back to the mainland to be processed.
It's little things like that that make living in Venice difficult,
but it's also what makes it so cool.
The story of Venice summed up briefly is extremely interesting.
After the fall of the Roman Empire people were being attacked in northern Italy all the time by barbarians from the north
So here in Venice, it's surrounded by a giant lagoon.
There were a series about hundred plus islands and
locals escaped to these islands to take refuge.
What started off as a temporary situation became more permanent and
people started to connect the islands.
The locals started drilling wooden pilings down into the mud and
basically, they had to import wood from Slovenia and Croatia
and Montenegro to
build a platform.
So they took many thousands of these wooden poles,
drilled them down into the muddy ground.
And then upon that they put another layer of flat wood and
then stone on top of that, and on that foundation, you could build a city.
The wood that Venice is built on has been down in the mud for so long that
it's actually become almost petrified and turned basically into stone.
Venice, the floating city, is actually built on wooden pilings just like this.
One of the reasons things in Venice are a little bit more expensive is because everything has to be shipped here.
The vast majority of the food that comes into Venice is brought here by boat.
So I wonder, you know, these guys are probably up very early in the morning
bringing the fresh produce in.
But it's pretty cool that you can just walk up, pick your produce from
the supplier who literally brought it straight in here from a boat from the mainland.
Ironically with climate change,
Venice is kind of in a predicament.
As you can see, there're lots of boats going around back here.
They've been forced a strict five kilometers per hour rule that nobody follows.
But the wakes from the constant boats are kind of eroding the foundation of the city.
So the reality is.. yes, Venice is sinking.
Nobody really knows how much longer it's going to be around.
There's a lot of different theories that they've put forward
for ways to try to slow or stop the
sinking, including a series of
levees that would stop the storm surges that come in and occasionally flood the city.
Just coming here now. It's definitely worth it.
The question is how much longer is it going to be around?
All right ladies gentlemen, it's the middle of the day, and it's time for lunch.
One of the things about Venice, like I said earlier, because everything has to be imported by boat,
prices are a little bit more expensive.
It's also extremely touristy.
While there's lots of options for places to eat,
most of them are overpriced and not that great.
Although I would like to thank all of the followers out there on Instagram
who have given so many awesome tips,
and one of the tips is to come here to the Punta della Dogana, which is just opposite
Saint Mark's Square and so Carrie and I are here.
We made a little lunch.
We have our little sandwiches,
and we're just going to sit down, take a breather, and take in the beautiful view in front of us.
Thank you Vagabuddies for the recommendation.
Budget travel hack: if you want to do the quintessential
Venetian experience of riding on a gondola,
be prepared to spend some serious cash, but there is a little known hack...
You can actually get a taste of what it's like for a fraction of the price.
Usually, it's 80 euros for a half an hour.
But you can do as the locals do and use the little gondola ferries from one side of the Grand Canal to the other.
They cost two euros, if you're not a local,
seventy cents if you are and
it's really a good way to get a taste of the quintessential Venetian experience if you're on a budget.
Grazie.
Budget travel hack for the win.
I feel like...when in Venice you got to do it.
And when in Rome... when in Rome, you've got to go to the Colosseum and the Fountain of Trevi
and all that good stuff.
When in Venice you've got to go on the gondola ride, you know what I mean?
Disneyland for adults.
We're doing it; we're in here. Super romantic.
We're going to make it as romantic as possible.
Ready? Ready. "Dammi un bacio."
So if the canals were roads, the Grand Canal is a freeway.
This is like a backcountry road.
This is beautiful.
Yeah, it's so nice.
Oh my gosh. I'm actually really happy that we did this.
Look how beautiful that is.
If you want to be a gondolier, you have to pass two tests.
And then you're going to study a little bit the laws of the navigation.
A little bit English, French, the history of Venice.
Then you just pick your route?
No, no, no. They decide for you what you have to do.
Yes, not my job.
You will learn from our family, father, grandfather, uncle.
You can learn also from your friends
if you don't have parents or your family like a gondola driver.
But there's not a school where you go there
and they explain you how you can know. It's a tradition.
But it's very on the job, yeah.
Little secret, yeah. It's very nice.
Oh...premando.
Premando means left in Venetian
Okay e` tutto. It's worth it. Totally. Grazie mille.
Prego. Grazie mille.
Piacere. Prego.
Venice has a super long history.
It was once a republic, and the history of Carnival is a little bit muddled.
Nobody really knows, but supposedly
it began when the Republic of Venice won a big battle over the patriarch of Aquileia in the year 1162.
People gathered in Saint Mark's Square
and started dancing and having a party and that is how the tradition
supposedly began.
In the Renaissance, it really came into its own.
It became this fashionable
opportunity basically for the nobility to
hide themselves and to do licentious acts.
Basically to get buck wild and not have anybody judge them.
And that's still kind of how it feels today.
Everybody gets very dressed up.
It's all about how you look and
the costumes are very elaborate, including the masks.
The masks in the Carnival at Venice are world famous
And I think that we need to go get a pair before the party really begins tonight at Saint Mark's Square.
It's the last day of carnival, so on the last day everybody gathers at Saint Mark's Square.
They kind of declare the winner of the costume contest and then at 6:00 p.m. carnival is over.
Lent begins and all of the fun is done until the next year.
Carrie and I have found our masks.
We are prepared and now we head to Saint Mark's Square full force into Carnival.
I was running around getting some shots.
I have been very politely interrupted by some viewers,
and introduce yourself.
Hi. I'm Isabelle. Where are you from?
I'm from Seattle. I live in Berkeley.
Cool. You said you're on a month long journey?
I'm here for three and a half months.
I'm doing the Camino de Santiago.
It must be interesting to be one of the people who come here and dress up
because all day long you're just standing there having people take pictures of you.
That is the main attraction here are the people who are dressed up.
It's our 15 minutes of fame every year, and I'm okay with that. I like it.
Well ladies and gentlemen, that is it for Venice Carnival 2018.
Super fun.. really just awesome putzing around town
finding little back-alley ways and then obviously getting the photos at
sunset here in the Piazza San Marco was a little wild, but it was a beautiful experience.
And I think it's one that everybody should do at least once.
If you enjoyed this video
please give it a big thumbs- up, share with your friends.
Hit that subscribe, turn on those notifications.
If you haven't subscribed to Carrie's channel yet, do that.
And in the meantime, remember stay curious, keep exploring,
and we will see you on the road.
Peace.

ABD'de Yeni Atamalar ve Menbiç Harekatı - New Assignments of the USA and the Menbic Operation - Duration: 5:54.Assalamualaikum Dear Brothers and sisters
In the USA there are new assignments to critical positions
Mike Pompeo as a Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gina Haspel as the president of the CIA and John Bolton as National security adviser
What are the meanings of these assignments?
And what is more important for us is how these assignments will effect their policy in our region?
In fact, the best question for answering all questions is who are these people?
Rex Tillerson ,the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was dismissed and Mike Pompeo is the new
Pompeo was the head of the CIA and he was one of the harsh politics of the USA
He has hostility on Islam,Muslims and Turkey
And he is one of the biggest supporters of the new alliance between Saudi Arabia,Egypt,The UAE and Israel
Additionally, he has Islamophobic statements
He was one of the people who supported the listening of the National Security Agency - NSA
On the day of the coup attempt in Turkey,he supported the coup, not Turkey
He did what was waited from him
After Pompeo's assignment,Gina Haspel became the head of the CIA
And she is a different kind of psychopath
She started to work in the CIA in 1985 and she was promoted quickly
The secret of her success is not only her intelligence but also her cruelty
She was named as the princess of darkness and her name was always with torture
She was one of the founders of the CIA's mobile torture centers
The name 'Haspel' reminds the prison Ebu Greyb, the Island of Diego Garcia and the prison Guantanamo
Read the picture
She was responsible for the secret torture prison named 'Cat's Eye in 2002
So there is a global psychopath as the president of the CIA
And John Bolton - a neo-con , racist zionist - was brought as National security adviser
He is known as a lier in American Public opinion
Because he was the biggest lier of the government of Bush who invaded Iraq
He was the one who told the lie that Saddam had mass destruction weapons
He tried to defend this lie in the Security Council of the United Nations with some fake documents
He defended the coup at Fox News Tv on the day of the coup attempt in Turkey
He claimed that the terrorist organization FETO tried to protect the secular constitution of Turkey
He is also very harsh about the Nuclear programs of the North Korea and Iran
These three psychopaths are at the most important positions of the USA now
Luckily Trump is there and he stops them
If only I could say this. But he is the biggest psycho
In fact , John Gartner who is the medicine professor of the university John Hopkins tell that
Trump is not only just a liar and narcissist but also paranoiac
I worked on hundreds including murderers and psychopaths
I recognize a psycho far from miles
Trump is just a dangereous man
In fact, Trump's resolution advisory about the attacks on the schools shows us his psychological situation
He offered to give guns to the teachers. He offered this seriously.
This is the USA which is our interlocutor before the 'Operation of Menbic'
The more you are a psycho the more dignity you get. The most psycho person becomes the president
Of course Trump is the president in this kind of system
When you think about this quadruplet , you think that Menbic foresights are meningless
Some columnists think that the USA will fight against us for Menbic and some thinks that they will leave there. But they are just imponderous predictions
This quadruplet is like the Daltons. It is not possible to predict what they will do
So we will lock on
We told that the terrorists in Syria will be dispelled and it will inshallah
We will attack on Menbic and the East Euphrates after finishing preparations
Either the USA leaves there or we get the region from them
We already have an example which tells what will the USA do
It is asked to the former president of the CIA David Petraeus what happens at a probable Turkey-USA clash
His answer tells us everything
We must think twice
We talk about Turks not Arabs that we controll
So what is important is not the greatness of the obstacles,it is important for us to lock on
We started these operations after thinking about every situations
What we encounter on this way is just our fate
And don't forget we plan, God laughs

Why Avengers: Infinity War Will Blow You Away - Duration: 5:08.By bringing the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe together to face off against a universe-threatening
bad guy, Marvel appears poised to make all the money in the world when Avengers: Infinity
War hits theaters.
The film looks huge, and everything we've see so far has fans more than eager to see
more. But why exactly should this one knock our socks off? From the ante-upping villain,
to fundamental changes in store for core Marvel heroes, here's why we think Infinity War will
blow us all away.
The next Darth Vader?
The entire MCU has been framed around the idea that an insanely powerful villain by
the name of Thanos has been pulling the strings behind most of the universe's problems. He's
popped up in The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy to cause trouble, sending lackeys
ahead of him in an effort to acquire the ultra-powerful Infinity Stones.
After years of setting him up, Infinity War will finally place Thanos front and center,
and co-director Joe Russo has said that he's "hoping to make a Darth Vader for a new generation."
With another Avengers sequel arriving in just one year, he might remain a key player in
the MCU even after the dust settles from Infinity War.
Asgard go boom
The first two installments of the Thor franchise were arguably some of the weakest in Marvel's
lineup, but all that changed in 2017. Under director Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok reinvigorated
the series and added a sense of humor the mainstream MCU never knew it was missing.
"Shoo off, ghost!"
It also featured some of the biggest character growth yet for Chris Hemsworth's Thor. He
lost his hammer, his father, his eye, and when Asgard was destroyed, his home.
Despite the losses, Thor emerged a stronger hero. Co-director Anthony Russo has said he
feels Thor might be the most interesting character heading into Infinity War after his "past
has been torn away from him." The one-eyed Thor will have to overcome his losses in Ragnarok,
and find a new hammer, to take on the most dangerous villain the heroes have ever faced.
U Nomad, bro?
One of the biggest changes for the MCU over the past few years is that when we pick up
the action in Infinity War, Captain America might not even be Captain America anymore.
The first glimpses we've gotten of Steve Rogers show him sporting a beard and no shield — and
in his most recent autograph signings, Cap actor Chris Evans has been using the name
"Nomad" — a moniker Rogers took up in the comics after becoming disillusioned with his
role as Captain America. There's no word on whether the big-screen version will follow
the same track, but Captain America: Civil War pulled the Avengers apart — it'll be
interesting to see whether Infinity War can bring them back together.
I am teenage Groot
There's no denying the role Groot has played in the success of the Guardians' films, and
bringing him over to a mainline Avengers film as a moody tree teen adds yet another bit
of geeky goodness to Infinity War. Motion capture artist Terry Notary, who provided
the movements for Groot, said the character will be "coming of age" in Infinity War, which
should make for one interesting subplot to go along with all the world-ending stakes.
Iron...Spider?
Fans got a brief peek at a new Spider-Man suit at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming,
and the trailers for Infinity War show Peter Parker will definitely be taking advantage
of the upgrade when Thanos strikes. If you pay attention to the LEGO toy tie-ins for
the film, though, we might just be seeing another new design for Spidey: the Iron Spider
suit that Tony Stark made for Peter in the comics. What better place to pull it out than
in Marvel's biggest movie ever?
Wakanda takes center stage
Black Panther blew the roof off the box office and made T'Challa an instant icon for superhero
fans. Luckily, they won't have to wait to see a lot more of the world of Wakanda.
Every trailer and teaser for Infinity War has made it abundantly clear that Black Panther
and Wakanda are going to be a huge factor. They're on full display, with plenty of
interactions between T'Challa and Steve Rogers.
"And get this man a shield."
Giant-Size Marvel
As if it weren't already obvious, Infinity War is poised to be Marvel's biggest movie
to date. It's bringing A-list stars and key supporting players from every solo Marvel
franchise, loading the film with everyone fans have come to know and love over a decade
of the MCU. But it doesn't just combine the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers
into the same storyline. It brings them into one single fight.
Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon, has said it'll feature a scene with a mind-boggling
40 heroes onscreen at the same time, making the massive brawl in Captain America; Civil
War look like a a tussle on the playground by comparison. Marvel has flexed its blockbuster
muscle time and again over the last decade, but Infinity War looks like it's really ready
to throw down the gauntlet — no pun intended.
End of an era?
With Infinity War putting a cap on the first ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,
it's hard not to start looking ahead at what Disney's pending purchase of Fox could mean
for the future. If everything pans out, Marvel may look to reacquire the rights to their
other two biggest teams: the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
It stands to reason those characters will eventually be folded into the MCU in the same
way that Spider-Man was brought in after Marvel Studios cut a deal with Sony. Fans hoping
for a sneak peek in Infinity War will likely be disappointed, though. Marvel Studios head
honcho Kevin Feige has made clear any potential purchase will not impact the studio's current
slate of productions lined up through 2019 — which include both Infinity War and its
untitled sequel. That slow roll is probably a good thing, considering this movie is already
looking to juggle dozens and dozens of characters as it stands.

Can Demons Read Our Minds? - Duration: 5:03.Can demons read our mind or just put thoughts in them?
Is it a question that has a clear answer?
I want to share our perspective.
Many of our clients ask this when they come in to meet with us.
We've addressed it in other articles, in bits and pieces, but I wanted to use this time
and space to pull it all together.
Lay it out explicitly.
It's a common topic in the body of Christ and if you do your own research, you find
that most sources contend the demons cannot read our minds.
We agree with that view will share, um, our reasons for that very shortly.
Fervent advocates debate this because really there are no explicit passages in scripture
to prove or disprove either assertion counselees that we see are adamant and believing that
Satan can read their minds because from their perspective, he seems to know what they're
thinking.
Alternatively, they think something, they say that it happens.
We need to understand five things about our spiritual enemies.
First of all, demons do have access to our soul, our soul man, rather our mind, memory
and emotions and are able to put thoughts into our mind and certainly stir up memories
that we have.
Secondly, I contend that very few, if any of us will deal with Satan himself directly
and look at, he's a created being limited by time and space just as we are who amongst
us really warrants his personal intention.
Number three, Satan does have a vast army of demons under his authority and they are
sent to tornadoes.
Their mission.
John Ten, 10 is to kill, steal and destroy.
Number four, they work against us by messing with our thought life and indwelling us that
they're able.
I'll look at the ladder, requires the limerence ministry, which is the driving out of demons.
While demons on the outside of us need to be discerned and resistant.
Talks about James [inaudible].
Finally, demons are assigned to us here.
All that we say, see all what we do and are aware of prophetic words that are spoken over
us.
They do not need to read our minds to really gain a firm handle on how we function, our
strengths, our weaknesses, and our vulnerabilities, and ask yourself this simple question.
If you had someone following you around 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so everything
you did heard, all you said would they know a lot about you.
The answer's obvious.
Look at they don't have to read our minds to be smart.
Moreover, they do have the ability as ac to put thoughts in our mind.
No.
What about those people who operate in the occult, Ram and Profess Mind reading capability?
Now, I believe that some really and truly do connect with demons here from them and
received the information that the demons have.
Look, God speaks to people and so to demons.
Those on the other side have power and knowledge to but certainly not to the same degree that
we do.
Why is this important?
I believe we need to put and keep these demons in their proper place.
When it comes to understanding their power and capabilities, they're able to put these
thoughts in our mind.
Yes, and stir up memories.
Now look at the.
Our job is to discern that fact is that happens, capture the thought and replace it with Christ
truth that's talked about in Second Corinthians 10, five, and as we persevere in this renewal
process, our minds can be transformed and we become more like Jesus.
Simple enough, right?
Just kidding, but that's our challenge and Paul did not lay a mission before us that
we cannot accomplish by the Lord's grace and power at work in us.
So what's the evidence for demons not being able to read our mind?
The best example that I can put forth is Christ himself.
Jesus was fully God and fully human.
He was tempted in every way as we are.
It talks about in Hebrews 4:15, he knew what his mission was and willingly went to the
cross so he could rise again.
If seeing could've read Christ mind.
Can anyone believe that he would have leveraged so vigorously through the religious leaders
enrollments to have Jesus crucified?
It doesn't make sense, does it?
Yes, I know it's only an indicator it's not approved, but at that point I really pressed
at the outset of this.
Let's not walk in fear.
Do not be concerned about devil's being able to read your mind.
Similarly, not quake.
When you speak something out or an entertainer, declare something out loud because you're
now afraid that you've given your enemies new insight they probably already know.
They also understand that you have power and authority over them and are properly concerned
about that truth.
Are you willing to grasp that biblical reality and walk in the fullness of it?
