Losing Motivation? This Could Be Why! - Study Motivation - Duration: 11:18.

Adam anybody who's losing their hustle has a lot of variables and there's a lot

of variables in this episode this is the variable episodes where's a lot of

context but it's not just direct answers today um listen you might have you might

not be passionate about your North Star anymore I I've been going through

something let me actually break some shattering news here for the first time

in my life I've been thinking about weird things like sabbaticals and

building a business school in Haiti for five years and like like I love listen

I'm still all about buying the New York Jets and it's the process of that and

the game but it's amazing for me to be in tune with myself the maturity like as

you get older like just stip like my kids are 6 and 3 and they're interesting

like it's inch they're interesting and like you start you know I start

projecting what do they look like at 13 and 15 like it'd be really cool to like

I don't believe in the school system as much as everybody like do I just take

them and go do something rogue like just different things like you just evolve

and and you might have just lost your North Star the thing that you thought

you were going for might not be it's why it was always happy that I didn't want a

million bucks or they want Fame or I didn't want a car private plane or these

little things like it was fun to be like I want to buy the Jets and what that

always meant to me is I want the process of buying the Jets which means I get the

hustle forever because that's my that's who I am maybe you've lost who you are

or what you want or maybe you've accomplished kind of or maybe you feel

it's achievable I would be crushed if I thought what I wanted to achieve was

super achievable I mean it happened to me in the line this is happening at

Boehner like as Vayner is becoming a player in the agency world and we're not

like that now we're like a like and soon we're

gonna be like oh oh like you know like like that's not as fun for me I like

being the underdog I like the climb you know I like that so maybe that's

happened maybe you're just tired I mean I think one of the things that the New

York Jets do for me that nobody understands is those hours actually you

just caught something on dailyvee right me talking Jeff that was the first time

I talked business during a Jets game in 15 years I looked at my phone at the

wrong time it was a very big thing and only spent a second on it like I am

escaped and relaxed and by the way I didn't care about it like that's how

excited like those three four hours of escapism maybe need some vacation time I

maybe need to look at the pee around you maybe you need a change maybe

you need to break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend like there's like there's

a lot of intense different things that can be happening or maybe you can take a

step back and really listen to this statement which is you've lost your

hustle because you've really are not in tuned to why you're doing it let me tell

you a story so a friend of mine and I we went for a

run in Central Park the Roadrunners organization on the weekends they host

races and it's very common at the end of the race they'll have a sponsor who will

give away something apples or bagels or something and on this particular day

when we got to the end of the run there were some free bagels and they had

picnic tables set up and on one side was a group of volunteers on the table were

boxes of bagels and on the other side was a long line of runners waiting to

get their free bagel so I said to my friend let's let's get a bagel and he

looked at me and said that lines too long and I said free bagel and he said I

don't want to wait in line and I was like free bagel and he says not let's

it's too long and that's when I realized that there's two ways to see the world

some people see the thing that they want and some people see the thing that

prevents them from getting the thing that they want I could only see the

bagels he could only see the line and so I walked up to the line I leaned in

between two people put my hand in the box and pulled out two bagels and no one

got mad at me because the rule is you can go after whatever you want

you just cannot deny anyone else to go after whatever they want

now I had to sacrifice choice I didn't get to choose which bagel I got I got

whatever I pulled out but I didn't have to wait in line so the point is is you

don't have to wait in line you don't have to do it the way everybody else has

done it you can do it your way you can break the rules you just can't get in

the way of somebody else getting what they want that's rule number one

but wait I need one more chance to prove that I'm good to be eight maybe Greek

god because that's what other favorite part of the film were kind of like is

here is he not exactly know which I love that's the new take cuz you're gonna

leave it like believe in yourself that's the mission is just believing in

yourself and embracing who you were born to be so by the way like you're biracial

and biracial right on black Samoan like why exactly so often two hybrids right

and oftentimes like when you're younger you know we struggle sometimes the

identity I wish it was a little bit more like that or I wish I wasn't different

but you know overall the message of Hercules how I bring this whole thing

back around is you are most powerful most important is when we just embrace

who we are beliefs essentially the beliefs that you hold

about yourself about your capabilities about money whether your beliefs that

attract money to you or that repel money but that you have beliefs that allow you

to move through barriers and obstacles or beliefs that cause you to shy away

from Batteries and obstacles and the beliefs that we have really control our

actions we don't typically go at things or do things that we believe we're not

good at we don't take actions everything we're gonna fail we shy away and then of

course we don't say that we're scared we come up with a story

so the sort of these negative these limiting beliefs Institute its today but

telling the bull stories to ourselves right and it holds us back from success

so the idea is that is to understand what your or limiting beliefs are and

then to actually break those beliefs and you can do that's not that they want to

do it do it and it's seminar setting you break the limiting beliefs and you

essentially empower somebody by oping them install their own beliefs in

themselves cuz your beliefs are malleable you can change them so the

idea is to essentially retrofit your beliefs to serve you and your outcomes

in a case of entrepreneurs is tough and money is not the root of all evil

that building the business is possible that I can learn whatever ennobles sort

of I'm trying so hard to be someone you're

not stop trying so hard period you don't have to I remember

constantly feeling like I wasn't I wasn't what was expected of me and a lot

of that had to do with my skin color I love that it feel so stupid but a lot of

it feels I had to do with not feeling black enough like I was right kind of

black like I wasn't cool enough like I wasn't fun enough like I wasn't I

just wasn't good enough what what was being painted of me just even on

television and music and that was really disheartening and I would tell my

younger self now that you don't need to be that it's totally fine like

everything's gonna be okay and to honestly embrace who you are now embrace

what makes you different you don't have people don't have to

people don't like you for who you are and then those people aren't meant to be

in your life you don't let them there anyway so stop trying to impress people

by being what you're working in the plumbing business I was working in the

poem business at the time ever and I'm chanting it was it would have been

around that time that John and lastly I had left the flooring business I left

the flooring business how bad was a diploma yeah horrendous were you

actually in the trenches I mean it was an industrial boom so I'd be like

building this it'd be like diploma that would be needed in a place like this six

o'clock in the mornin and the motto and I used to have to walk for about an hour

to get there to get there on my way and then I stand on the edge of the motorway

and wait for a bloke to drive boy so give me a lift and then the motorway was

like getting them renovation at the time so take me two or two hours to get to

the place was out in the country gonna be there for ten hours walking and I was

a first-year so as the worst of the war sermons on the beginning then two hours

to get back in the traffic again was just a horrible horrible time and I was

like you know what I don't want to deal with this and then I just

and then I just stopped now didn't get out bad let me died with him in trying

to bank me out of bed and we have fights in Malaysia for a good world I never

spoke I didn't really speak to me Danny who just kind of stayed away from each

other anytime I only time I come across me that I just I come we did speak was

foot what's the fight you look at his house yeah only anything anything you

didn't talk to him isn't that a cut awkward like it wasn't you know you have

a just a deep relationship yeah no but since this since this is

happy right since the dream has happened since the vision that I had has come

true and like he went through he went through

tough times over because he got testicular cancer so he got sick and all

over and yeah in my head thinking maybe maybe I don't that because he's worried

about me that's not what I'm gonna do in all these fights that were having all

the time but I'm talking full-on fights come in and points it but no nada here

we go now you're punching back so yeah we were going out of here wow what did

your mom say about that is so protective of you

yeah I mean brother I don't know it was just she just stayed out in a book and

but seems to get to that point toward he was this because I was doing I was doing

absolutely nothing in the trouble yeah basically felt like I was down for god I

was a waster yeah I was a waster got that call that a lot and I remember but

now like and then and then when when I start getting that focus and realize no

I'm gonna I'm gonna make this happen and then never has happened I'm I'm I'm

making it happen I have a great relationship in there like we talk all

the time and I even see energy and I see energy and you might like it's the

present times for a lot of people around there's a lot of bad stuff going on and

in the country a lot of people are struggling everybody's struggling but

now seeing since them seeing me chase this dream it's given them an energy and

I see a new lease of life in them and that alone spores me on even more so

it's all just a perfect storm that's happening

and that is why I have this tonal vision and that's why I'm willing to kill every

single man in my path to get that belt in our matrix to secure the future from

my family's future you know me that's that's what I'm doing for it's hard to

say but when I was a kid I used to I always be like when I was a kid I always

visualized stadium something and like even when I was playing football I'd

kick the ball against the wall and I'd pretend that I scored a goal and I'd run

off and I'd be raising my hand and visualizing a arena full of fans you

know that was something I don't as a kid out on my own I like just running around

kicking the ball so I always had these visions of something but I just didn't

know what it was and then I suppose when I came to this of these events and I

started training and then came to an event it was like okay this is it this

is this is what I'm gonna do and then now I'm dealing

The Science Behind Why People Are So Easily Fooled -- Discernment Essentials - Duration: 9:41.

The Science Behind Why People Are So Easily Fooled -- Discernment Essentials

The world has changed tremendously from the time of our ancestors.

Today, we develop most of our beliefs based on external forces, with very little first-hand

experience.

Where the early humans relied on direct sensory experience to shape their beliefs, we now

rely on language and our own ability to discern falsehoods from truth.

by Anna Hunt

With language, we undoubtedly receive a plethora of opinions and bias based on the orators

own belief system.

Yet, we are willing to believe much, without taking the time to investigate new ideas or

seeking to experience them first-hand.

What is the reason for this eager credulity and can we control it?

Societys Intrusion of the Gullible Brain

The 17th century philosopher Rene Descartes formalized the idea that, if one wishes

to know the truth, then one should not believe an assertion until one finds evidence to justify

doing so.

This sounds like a reasonable approach to integrating new beliefs.

Most of us think ourselves capable of evaluating ideas and making up our own mind.

Yet, think about it.

When was the last time that you actually took the time to seek out new evidence to help

you prove or disprove new ideas?

Im not just talking about some random fact you saw on a news website.

Im talking about ideas that you receive from everywhere.

All of your media outlets, social networks and personal interactions.

Truthfully, theres so much information coming at us all the time, who has time to

fact check and research all of it?

Furthermore, how many beliefs has society embedded into our brains from early childhood?

That is mostly what we believe as fact, even though we never really took the time to reflect

on those ideas.

It is during the formative years of our lives that we establish associations and strong

beliefs about key aspects of life.

We form our religious beliefs and associations.

We establish a foundation of our political views and civil roles.

Even more importantly, we adapt to perpetuated ideas of authority and conformity.

Finally, we buy into societys view of what it means to be a human.

All of this happens without any first-hand investigation if any of these societal norms

and beliefs are truth.

Yet, for most, these programmed beliefs are the first resource for fact-checking and assessing

new ideas and assertions.

Skepticism is Quite Rare, Especially When Were Distracted

Another philosopher, Benedict Spinoza questioned Descartes idea.

Spinoza realized that the brain does not process ideas the way that Descartes proposed.

He suggested that, people believe every assertion they understand but quickly unbelieve

those assertions that are found to be at odds with other established facts.

Confirming this theory, new research has shown that our brains are actually naturally willing

to believe whatever we feed them.

Researchers Daniel T. Gilbert et al. from The University of Texas at Austin conducted

an experiment where they presented a set of true and false statements about a crime to

study subjects.

The researchers asked one group of participants to read the statements and concurrently find

and count the digit 5 as it appeared in the text.

The other group was allowed to read the statements uninterrupted.

Afterwards, the researchers asked the participants to recollect which statements were false,

and which were true.

They also requested that the subjects decide on the jail time for the perpetrator of the

crime.

The study outcome showed that the group that was also counting recalled more false assertions

as true, but not the other way around.

They also gave the fictitious perpetrator more jail time.

Thus, Gilbert et al. showed that people are more likely to believe that false assertions

are true, especially when they are interrupted.

Therefore, this reinforces Spinozas theory that people are quick to believe an idea.

Yet, the findings introduce the argument that interruption prevents us from unbelieving

new assertions.

Thus, are we really capable of the skepticism that the modern world requires?

The implication of these findings is that the world is distracting.

It is fast-moving, flashy, loud and over-whelming.

We are connected to peoples lives well outside of our home and community, ingesting

massive amounts of information.

Never mind the incessant attempts of advertisers to snag your attention and constant beckoning

of your smartphone.

How can we expect our brain to take an uninterrupted assessment of new ideas?

It Takes Cognitive Work to Disbelieve

Spinoza and Gilbert et al. suggest that belief is first, easy, and inexorable and that doubt

is retroactive, difficult, and only occasionally successful.

Gilbert et al write: Acceptance, then, may be a passive and inevitable

act, whereas rejection may be an active operation that undoes the initial passive acceptance.

The most basic prediction of this model is that when some event prevents a person from

undoing his or her initial acceptance, then he or she should continue to believe

the assertion, even when it is patently false.

For example, if a person is told that lead pencils are a health hazard, he or she must

immediately believe that assertion and only then may take active measures to unbelieve

it.

These active measures require cognitive work (i.e., the search for or generation of contravening

evidence), and if some event impairs the persons ability to perform such work, then the person

should continue to believe in the danger of lead pencils until such time as the cognitive

work can be done.

Therefore, much removed from Descartes theory, Gilbert et al. propose that each event and

encounter in your life alters your brain.

At times, this change is permanent, unless you have the time and cognitive ability to

reflect on the encounter and, then, decide if you want to disbelieve the ideas it introduced.

This is why advertising is so effective.

Marketers introduce ideas (beliefs) about their products in passing.

Typically, youre already distracted with whatever it is that youre doing (driving,

watching a show, reading a news piece, etc).

Some might argue that advertisers are creating beliefs in your brain without your permission.

The same can be applied to politics, public schools, and news media.

Are all of these entities imposing changes in your belief system against your will?

Is the brain really that gullible?

Related An Example of Holistic Discernment and the Fruit of Critical Thought | Commentary

on Kent Dunn Updates by David Nova

Some would say yes, but lets go back to Descartes idea that one can seek out evidence

so s/he can decide to disbelieve an assertion.

Gilbert et al write: People, then, do have the potential for resisting

false ideas, but this potential can only be realized when the person has (a) logical ability,

(b) correct information, and (c) motivation and cognitive resources.

What Im getting at here is that we must have the cognitive ability, as well as true

information, to help us disbelieve false assertions.

Unfortunately, these skills are mostly the function of our education system, as well

as organized groups and religious sects.

Therefore, society partially controls our ability to distinguish truth from falsehoods.

We are told to believe that the information fed to us in schools and churches is truth.

But how do we know for sure?

And is the system of education teaching children how to think, or just what to think?

Final Thoughts

Many are concerned that societys influence has stifled our ability discern falsehoods.

That the hive-mind has infected the masses, disparaging skepticism of mainstream beliefs.

Yet, we must not forget our own personal power.

Regardless of how gullible the brain really is, we hold the power over our thoughts.

This control stems from our willingness (motivation) to reflect on and contemplate ideas.

Our cognitive resources are not bound by our GPA or IQ score.

We can expend these abilities through self-education and the rational exchange of ideas with others.

Solitude, meditation, reflection, mentorships, first-hand experience this is all within

our reach.

We have access to an endless pool of knowledge.

All we need to do is decide.

Do we want to ingest only what mainstream society throws at us, or are we willing to

seek out our own truth?

CP Time: Forgotten Black Women of History: The Daily Show - Duration: 3:26.

-(cheering, applause) -(mellow jazz playing)

Ah. Welcome to CP Time,

the only show that's for the culture.

As we end Black History Month, we look back

on the accomplishments of black women.

And joining me for this episode is Dulcé Sloan.

Thank you, Roy...

but I've been here for every episode.

Oh, I think you must be mistaken.

CP Time is a solo show.

No, no, no, no. Check the tape.

I was there when you talked about actors

and black politicians,

and I was right in front of you during the last one.

Mm. I apologize.

My peripherals are not what they used to be.

Don't blame the cataracts, Roy-- you forgot.

Like a bitch.

But it's okay. Black women have been overlooked

in American history, but we've still accomplished great things.

Like Madam C.J. Walker,

America's first black woman

-to be a self-made millionaire. -No, no, no.

I do believe that's Aretha Franklin, Dulcé.

Y-Y...

Just because Aretha's been in a fur since 1973

doesn't mean she was the first millionaire.

Madam C.J. Walker earned her millions in the early 1900s.

That's old money.

And she did it with hair care products.

Hair grower. Scalp ointment.

And, of course, she revolutionized the hot comb.

Ah, the smell of hot grease and laid edges

on a Saturday morning.

You know, I have her to thank for all these scars on my ears.

There's also Marie Van Brittan Brown,

an innovator who, in 1966,

during the heart of the civil rights movement,

invented the home security system.

Before her, when someone broke in,

people just yelled, "Hey, man! Don't take my shit!"

But while her invention

might have dramatically decreased theft,

it didn't stop ADT from stealing the idea from her.

(chuckles)

(laughter)

We also can't forget Mae Carol Jemison, the first black woman

-to travel in space. -You know what I've always said,

Dulcé, is that more black people should go to space.

Not even for science, just for safety.

-There's no police up there. -Ooh, fact, fact.

I just want to thank you

for bringing these wonderful pieces to the show.

We often forget what black women did in American history.

History? We're forgetting black women now.

Quick-- tell me who founded the Black Lives Matter movement.

Well, that's very easy-- everyone knows that's Deray,

the man in the blue vest.

Deray?!

No, no. (chuckles)

The original founders were Alicia Garza,

Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi.

Mm-hmm. Were they ever wearing a blue vest?

-No. -Okay, well, then how was I supposed to know?

Sounds like a fashion problem.

Well, there's only 30 minutes left -Oh, wait...

here in Black History Month, and who knows,

maybe next year there won't be a need for this program,

because we would have reached the mountaintop.

(both laughing)

-That is funny every year. -Whoo!

-I'm Roy Wood Jr. -And I'm Dulcé Sloan.

And this has been CP Time.

And remember...

BOTH: we're for the culture.

You don't get to say, "like a bitch."

That's my phrase.

-I mean, listen... -This is my show.

Hi! Hello! Ok, Stanley, put your finger on the scanner. There you go. I have to put a little Island Magic in here. There you go.

Your TapuTapu, sir. Thank you. Yes, it really is called TapuTapu!

Thank you. Appreciate it. What Stan's doing right now is he is linking his credit card

his TapuTapu which is like the app for Volcano Bay. It kind of looks

like Disney's invention of the MagicBand. And on it right now it says,

"Visit a ride totem to get a return time". So, I guess you go to the different rides

and then it gives you a time to return to each one. And there's a set of lockers to

the right or left as you come in. We're going to the ones to the right. Because

of the kind of day it is all of these say, "Ride Now", which is good. Pretty much

everything is a walk on today, so that's the advantage of going during the winter,

on an off day where it rained this morning and it's going to be overcast. That's a

pretty amazing sight. And here we found the restroom, showers, and lockers to rent.

To rent one, hold your TapuTapu to the tap point below.

And it says, "Insert credit card to make purchase". Locker 26 opened, and it gave us an all

day rental. So when you come back to get your stuff out of your locker, you're

gonna take your TapuTapu and touch the locker, the tap point, and it opens. Pretty easy!

There's Krakatau. We're trying to figure out how to get to it. And they

said it makes a circle. Okay, so you just keep following the circle around like

they said at the very beginning of the park and then probably look for the

signs that say where to get on at. Okay, the sun is trying to shine. Stan's gonna

be my guinea pig today, because I don't do water slides, right Stan!

Krakatau Aqua Coaster.

Here's the backside of Krakatau with some of the water slides coming out

of it. OhYah, OhNo drop slides.

Are you a strong swimmer? Yes. Ok. The six foot is on this side.

And if you wanted to try the four foot one, it's on the other side. Yeah ,we wanted to try all of them.

Well, he does. Okay, so he had to touch his TapuTapu.

There he is! And then he swam over here. Okay, so which one did you do, Stan?

The six foot. The purple one. And that was the six-foot? What does it mean by six foot? You have a

six foot drop from the edge of the slide to the water.

Okay, what do you think about it. It says this pool is ten foot deep, so you

definitely have to be able to swim to get up out of it. You go under pretty far

when you land. So now he's going to do the four foot one.

Okay, I think this is him coming because I can see his swim shirt. And there he

comes. And that pool again is 10 foot deep and he had a four foot drop on this

one. And then you swim over to the steps. What'd you think?

It was fun!

Now what was the name of it that one - OhNo? Yeah!

And this is the Kala and Tai Nui.

Two more drop sides that come out of the volcano.

And we're going out to the one that goes at the very beginning, Ko'okiri.

We saw you drop. So, how did you actually get up into that volcano? It's a lot of stairs!

Okay, so now he's going to do these two water slides. And they're

called Kala and Tai Nui.

What did you think about that one? It was fast. Even faster than the Krakatau body slide one, Ko'okiri?

No, I don't think that fast! It twists and turns, and let you go straight out, you know. Wow! So, it kind of shoots you out instead

under. So, go do Tai Nui. See how you like it. We're making Stan really burn

off some calories today. This is the one he's coming down now. It's called Tai Nui.

And there's Stan! He made it! So, what did you think?

Did you like it? Was Tai Nui as windy as Kala? It seemed a little faster.

And there's a hundred and ninety-one steps going up there. Oh, that's a lot!

That's probably why your heart is beating hard. Yeah, yeah. That one had I think more

water in your face than Kala, the blue one.

And he's been wearing goggles, which they allow, right? Yeah so I

can see better. That way I don't have to worry about my contacts. But all those

big ones are thrill rides, you know. But a lot of steps. So you're gonna get a work out.

You just lift it up, and it will ask you for your four-digit pin number.

Ok, it;s approved, and you get this nifty receipt with my name on it!

So, Stan, how much did the cup costs for the where you get the you get free refills all day? Free drink refills and free Icee's.

It was $14.99. I think that's pretty good.

Just one drink is $3.51.

And you can use it at the other parks, too.

Stan, how's your Coke? Refreshing!

She said something about you could use machines - Coke Freestyle - that have over a hundred

different sodas or drinks. There's the refillable mug. Really it's a cup.

You can use it here. It's free refills on the day you buy it.

Then you can use it in all the parks. You can use it anytime, I guess. You get

like cheaper refills.

And it's a good souvenir, right? Yeah! Cheers!

There's Stan out there.

This is a beautiful volcano. It looks like a real volcano. We've seen Volcanos in

Hawaii, and this looks like an actual real volcano.

There are several restaurants in Volcano Bay. This is the Kohala Reef. It's just

straight out from the volcano, from Krakatau. And it says it's a restaurant

and social club. Tastes of the islands. Coconut Curry Chicken. Mango Barbecue

Pulled Pork Sandwich. A Pepperoni Pizza. Looks good. Has a little bit everything.

Plenty of souvenir and gift shops. That's Krakatoa Katy's. Can get sunscreen, and

t-shirts, and hats. Beach towels. Water shirts, rash guard. And there's this guy.

He kind of runs the place. Yeah, I think it looks good.

This is really a good time to go. I mean it's decent weather really. It's in the mid-70's, the water is

heated to 80 degrees, and there are no crowds!

It's really hard work. You have a hard job. It's not busy today, so we're not needing our TapuTapu to reserve

a place in line. But if we did, when our ride time came up we would be alerted on

our TapuTapu. And you can reserve your place in line using your TapuTapu by

walking up to the ride kiosk and holding it up to it. We've been here a couple

hours and all the rides are still, "Ride Now". Dancing Dragons is an outdoor bar.

It gives you a good view of Krakatau and the wave pool. So it's gonna give you, I think,

a photo of you in front of Krakatau. Okay, so use it on the reverse side of the

totem to start taking it. So, I think we're gonna get a photo of us

in front of the volcano. Donna used TapuTapu so it's blinking. Good, so you're ready

to pose. Then you put in an email address and that activates your photo account.

I'm sure you can buy those.

Here we are in front of the volcano. The volcano is going off. There it is! The waves are about to start

in the wave pool. See...Volcano!

That's cool!

Hello! Which way is the bathroom? I don't know.

Hey you, kid? Yeah. Yeah, you, kid! Yeah.

He must mean her. She's the young one!

Scooby Doobie, bah doobie hoobie.

We're gonna check out the Ice Cream Kona. A Waturi Beach Blend. Ice cream served in a cup.

And a waffle cone, toppings. There's a Waturi Fusion with banana blue raspberry, orange, and

strawberry. You were gonna share, right? Yes, we'll share. I hate to share, but I guess I will. We're gonna get one with chocolate, banana, and coconut in it.

This is our lunch. This is called the Waturi Beach Blend. You can have up to four

choices of flavors of your ice cream. Oooo, looks good. Yum! yeah and so then it just swirl the

It just swirls the flavors up in layers. Chocolate, banana, coconut, chocolate, banana, coconut. Oh, awesome, that is so cool!

Alright, so that'll be $5.85.

I'm making Stan take the first bite. This is a blend, it's like

chocolate, coconut, banana; chocolate, coconut, banana.

Good! Yeah, I like that!

What do you think about it Donna? It's really good. You're not getting it back! Hey!

There's several beach areas with real sand you can sit in and relax

and get some sun. You can see Krakatau from about anywhere. These are the

two-story cabanas. This is off-season. It was $250, but it's a

higher price for the higher cabana. It's just a beautiful area around here. And

coming in the winter, it's just so not busy. It's still a lot of fun if you

pick the right day.

This is the Bambu Jungle. It's a restaurant. Rain forest flavors.

Island Chicken Salad. Karika Chicken Sandwich. Chicken Tenders. You can get a

Quinoa Edamame Burger, Belly Burger, different burgers. Bambu Burger.

This is the Maku Puihi ride entrance. Looks like a family raft slide.

There's a couple of slides here.

Like they told us at the front, the park just makes a circle. You just keep

walking in around either direction, and you'll see everything. Here's part of the fast

lazy river. Don't know if you'd really call it a lazy

river, but it keeps you moving. This one has rapids and waves, so not

your average lazy river. But they do have a lazy, lazy river. This just isn't it.

And you have to wear a life preserver. There are no tubes on this one. So Stan's gonna

go on it and then at the end of this we're gonna interview him and see what

he thought about the not so lazy river. It's called the TeAwa Fearless River.

Well, they do have a handicap chair, where handicapped kids could get down in it.

A pretty good clip!

So what did you think? You just got off of it and I told them you were gonna

ride it, so what do you think? That's fun! Really strong jets that pushed you.

So should you not do it unless you're a strong swimmer?

Oh, no. It doesn't matter because you have the vest. You can bob along.

And it just pushes you along. There was one place where

over by the wall, it shoots out a big wave of water. A big gush of water, you

could get it in front and get pushed. It's fun. It's pretty fast.

This is Whakawawai Eats. And it features Tastes of the River. Hawaiian Pizza, Jerk Shrimp, Mac and

Cheese, and Foot Long Hot Dogs. And Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. So I

interviewed the lady at the counter and she said they're more known here for

having hot dogs and mac and cheese. The other places more that we last went to

is was known for their burgers, and then the very first place we went to she

said they have the biggest variety of food in the entire park.

And so that's the only place you can get their famous barbecue. Good to know!

Here we have Taniwha Tubes. And it's nice because you don't have to carry your tubes up to the top.

They have a conveyor belt and of course the tubes are free. You don't pay extra

to get tubes.

Of course, it's nice and tall, so there's a lot of steps to get up there. But that's

about any waterpark.

The ride is worth the climb.

I mean it's 73 degrees right now but the wind is blowing which makes it feel like 63 so,

yeah, it's doesn't feel really hot.

There he is - yay!

What did you think? These are really good. On this side, were the more intense ones.

Faster, I guess. That blue one, especially, I've never ridden one like that.

It has really tight turns. I actually feel like G-forces.

You know pushing you around! That would scare me to death.

It's totally enclosed. The green one, it's open air for part of it. They're fun.

Oh, and it takes your picture on the ride too. Oh, that's cool! You can look at it at the front of the park at the kiosk to see if you want it.

It says remember to smile on TaniWha.

So it reminds you if there's going to be a photo taken on that ride so you remember to smile.

Are you cold now? Yeah, I am now! The water is warm though.

This is the actual real lazy river ride right there. Okay, watch this thing. It sprays people. Oh, cool. That was happening on the other

one, and I didn't know what they were doing. You can make it do that with

Your TapuTapu. That's cool, that you could spray people. I like those eyes! I could do that all day!

Let's wait for some people to come. So there's where you press your TapuTapu on it.

It shows like people are coming by in the inner tube and you're spraying them.

Get this kid down there. I think he wants it. Yeah, I don't think he knew how it happened but he was happy.

Where you going next? The real lazy river.

Kopiko Wai, The Winding River. So we're gonna see what he thinks about it.

I think you can wear a life jacket or you can get on a tube. So what do you think?

Oh, I like that. He said it's only about a quarter of a mile. Yeah. It's nice, and wide; relaxing. But there's there's no way that

you won't get wet on that. You will be like sprayed on.

Okay. There's different fountains and a waterfall. They said something about a cave. Yeah, the cave

is really cool. It's darker in there. There's some mist and music, lights.

Cool. When you come out of it then there's a big waterfall that you have to go

through. You're gonna get wet. Yeah, I like all the waterfalls. The theming and stuff.

Yeah this is a little kids section. Okay this is the Tot Tiki Reef and Runamukka Reef.

And swim diapers required for diaper aged children. So we're gonna go

over to Tot Tiki first. So I don't see any tots here but this would be age

where it would be toddler. So as soon they could walk, to like three or four he

said. There's little fish that spray the water and they can run in between

the lights. If they do, it makes the fountains go higher. So that's a really

cool area. And there's a tiny waterslide for them to come down. And a

little pool at the end of it. And then it looks like stairs up here where they can

actually just go up and do some water slides

up there too for kids.

There's some of them playing over here today.

Cool, it's like a big rock that has water like there's maybe it's a tiny little volcano.

And they can run up there and dump water on people. So here's their little waterslide area.

Cabana guests only. So there's the refrigerator back here. Ceiling fan. Checkerboard table. This would be a long couch.

So they can sit with their kids and take a nap. That's really convenient. There's some little tiny

beach chairs. And then there's the TapuTapu thing over there that they could

actually order food and they bring it to their cabana. So that's really cool. Honu ika Moana. That's probably not right. We know Moana - we got that part right.

We're gonna see if you can do

single line rider because I am not getting in the water today.

Will they put him with somebody? Of course.

Okay so they're gonna put him with some other riders cuz yeah you can't ride by yourself.

He's gonna do this blue one now. So now he's busy climbing the stairs again. Bless his heart.

Well he's coming down smiling so it must have been fun. Was it fun? I was like I

wonder how much height they're gonna make on that first really big one right

there, but you only went maybe half way up. Yeah it feels like you're going

really high. Yeah that's a lot of fun. There's two of them like that. Wow!

How many slides are in the volcano?

Well there's three drop slides, you know where you just get in the tube, kind of

and they shut the door, and you cross your arms, cross your ankles, and then the

floor drops out. And you know the one you go just straight down and it's only

about ten seconds. And then there's two other slides and they crisscross and turn.

But the entrances to those are more or less towards the front of the volcano.

Which would be on this side, the end the entrance side of the park.

So if you have problem doing stairs would you not want to do it. No! There's no

elevators. You can rent a towel for the whole day and then you would put it

right back here. And then for the cabanas it says it includes a lockbox, a

refrigerator, upgraded furniture, a limited amount of water bottles, small snacks,

towel service and a server. We're gonna do our photos.

And do the TapuTapu there. It shows the ones we took at the kiosk and some

of the ride photos. Pretty cool that it does those automatically. Catches you

right as you coming off a slide. Okay this is the end of our day at Volcano Bay.

It was fun! This just goes to show you can do a waterpark in the winter in

Florida. Just pick the right day and the right weather and it's not that bad.

A little cool maybe when you're not in the water but it's still fine. When you leave

you turn them in right here to someone like this nice lady.

TapuTapu return. Have a safe trip home. Thank you. Have a good day. Bye. I had a great time.

Slides were fun. So if you're in this area at Universal

or even Disney, try out the waterpark. Find a good day and come and enjoy it.
