Hi guys I'm Chris with Colorado Web Impressions where we help Colorado small
businesses succeed online and it includes your business - we're here to
help you and we truly believe in people before profits so we really you know put
a lot into these videos just in terms of trying to answer your questions because
again we truly care about your success so in today's video I want to talk to
you about a very common question we get and kind of round the topic of keywords
now if you work with an SEO company here in Clara Springs or you know some sort
of digital marketing you know specialist they may ask you what are your keywords
and a keyword is essentially something that somebody might type into their
phone or their desktop or laptop or now you have voice search so what is
something that somebody would say and potentially your website might show up
for so for an example if you were a pizza restaurant you know would your
pizza restaurant show up in Colorado Springs those are key words okay so
maybe it's something where you type in you know or you ask what is the best
pizza restaurant you know in the northern Colorado Springs area and that
could be a keyword phrase of course you know that's a lot of things you know
included into it but you know you might just type in hair salon okay that would
be a key word now if you have a hair salon then it would be something where
you would want to show up for that keyword perhaps you're in construction
we do a lot of construction SEO and so maybe somebody's into roofing and they
say well I need a metal roofing contractor and maybe that's your keyword
maybe you install metal roofing and you're a contractor and so that would be
your keywords so if somebody asks you what is your keyword you're basically
answering what is it that somebody would type into their computer or you know
their tablet or whatever to look for your business or where should you show
up I guess is be probably the proper way because it might be something where you
don't show up right now maybe it's something where you would like to show
up for a certain keyword maybe maybe doesn't work out okay like
for example for us you know Colorado Springs SEO is a very popular search
term we don't show up for that necessarily we show up for color springs
SEO company okay so you might have to play with it a little bit you might have
to say okay well the competition is so extreme for DUI lawyer but I can do DUI
attorney okay it's just you know working with it just a little bit and so when
you're thinking about keywords now just like us or any other agency you know
more than likely we're gonna look at the big picture what are other keywords that
you might not be focusing on that could potentially bring clients to your
website okay and maybe those clients turn into you know qualified leads and
then turns into sales and maybe lifelong customers you never know perhaps you're
just looking for you know exposure for your business maybe you have a
non-profit or a charity or something like that sometimes you know you you're
not selling anything you're just more of Education you know so maybe you have a
blog and you want to talk about what it's like you know in your family or
military life or whatever you have going on so these are things that you know you
might want to look into for keywords for your website ok so again so to kind of
clarify what is a keyword basically is what is you know what is something that
somebody's gonna type in or say because of course a lot of voice searches now
what is something that somebody would say or type into their cell phone or
something that you should pop up for okay and again that's a whole nother
strategy with SEO you know doing search engine optimization but that is what a
keyword is basically what is something that somebody's gonna type in or say
that you should show up for what represents your business again if I'm
typing in a mum I'm looking for you know a dog groomer okay so typically my
phone's gonna know them in the karo Springs area or whatever if I type in
dog groomer it's gonna show me dog groomers around me okay now if you're a
dog groomer that might be your keyword now again it's kind of two words but it
you know there's longtail keywords that might have a whole bunch so you might
put you know dog groomer for large breed dogs that could be a very long keyword
and you might have a perfect perfect chance to hit on that okay because maybe
other people are not hitting on that Kay so there's a lot of strategies to it but
basically it's coming up with keywords that people are going to search for okay
so very simple very easy and hopefully that kind of helps you just a little bit

BREAKING: Black Female Police Officer Shot Dead In New York… Where's Black Lives Matter? - Duration: 1:25.
Another one of America's law enforcement has been slain.
However, the officer was a 25-year-old black woman — so, should we expect Black Lives
Matter to protest on behalf of this fallen officer?
Unfortunately, probably not.
The NY Post reports:
Alastasia Bryan, 25, was at the corner of Avenue L and E 73rd Street in the Flatlands
section of the borough when a dark colored Honda rolled up and began blasting at around
9:15 p.m., sources said.
Five shots rang out and a single bullet struck the officer in the head, killing her instantly
as the shooter sped away.
Bryan had been in the neighborhood visiting family and friends — and was on her way
to Rikers Island for a shift — when the shooting unfolded, sources said.
Her death appeared to be planned and the killer was believed to have been waiting at the intersection
before she arrived, the sources added.
It's time to stand up for our law enforcement — these horrendous acts should not only
not be tolerated, but should be made known to all Americans, as the media won't dare
cover this tragic story.
