Waching daily Sep 29 2017

hey guys so welcome back to my channel so for today's video I have a what I got

for my sweet 16 birthday haul

My Super Sweet 16 Birthday

Hashtag Zoe

so obviously first I have to start the disclaimer because this is YouTube and

nothing goes without saying that I am NOT trying to brag in any way this is

what I got for my birthday. people do this all the time I decided I would do

this for what I got for my birthday because I don't know I'm a curious

person I want to see what other people grabbed for the birthday so maybe other

people other curious people will want to see what I got for my birthday and maybe

not but anyway if you like this video give it a thumbs up throughout this

video I'm gonna be putting a little picture of Malibu my dog in it and make

sure you guys find how many Malibu's you see in this video and comment the number

down below I'll pick one person to pin your comment and also in that comment

comment down below what you want for your birthday

so maybe your mom or grandma will see your comment underneath my video in

particular and get you that for your birthday yeah make sure to tell your mom

grandma to subscribe so as if I didn't have enough shoes already I bought two

pairs of shoes for my birthday okay so the first pair I got are the plain

classic white, Vans shoes, these are just the lace-up ones as you can see because

there's laces here I had one pair of these like my first pair of white Van's

are not even white anymore so thank you to the person who bought me these you

know you are. okay in this second pair of Van's I got

are the checkered ones I've been wanting used for a while now and so I got them

and I really like them and by the way I appreciate slip-on shoes so much because

I don't realize how lazy you are until you get slip ons because now it's fine

okay if I'm really thinking I do I really want to like sit down tie my

shoes right now we're do I just want to like slip on these slip ons and just go

obviously and literally what's a 'birthday haul without a lush gift box? so

this actually had really cute packaging if I can find picture of it I'll put it

right here it's really cute really cute but I ripped up the wrapping paper off

so I can see what's a in the gift box, obviously. put the put the paper on it was really

cute I figured never changes it anyway so this has two Lush bath bombs in it there's

this green one I don't know the names of them and then there's this blue one with

seaweed they both smell really nice and then

there's this bubble bar, I believe this is a bubble bar...

It kind of looks like this. And it smells really nice too!

So I'm definitely going to take some baths and use my Lush bath bombs!

now moving on to makeup I got a bunch of makeup for my birthday and I'm still

like people gave me like gift cards to Sephora and Ulta and things like that so

I still want to go buy some makeup that I want but for now and you show you this

I've been wanting the morphe 35o palette for literally two years and like I just

never got around to because I was like, ah really don't wear eyeshadow, it's fine I

don't need it and it's all about it from before birthday and I loved it so thank

you so much umm it's really cute and really nice and

brown suits blue eyes so I think I think it works and I honestly I think I'm

getting better at I shadow because of this because now I feel like have

options I really like, Morphe 35O pallet. so here a few things that i got from sephora i had

this mini size that the all nighter by Urban Decay settings spray, the big size

is just too big and I'm not gonna use it so I like this it's compact and I can travel

Next my friends know I love the roller lash so they got me this

too and I like it it's really cute then going on with the eyeshadow trend from

the morphe palette I also got this little Tartist Pro to go from Tarte

palette it's really to you and honestly if I travel I'm not going to be taking

this I'm probably going to be taking this.

sighs perfect so this is just if there's six shadows

in it there's to ship three shimmers and yep three matte's, three shimmers really

cute and they're pretty pigmented too so I like it

And there's a mirror in it too and also the person who gave me the morphe palette

also need a few other things that one of the things is the NYX lip lingerie in

the shade ruffle trim and it's really cute I would try to get but I do like

the color it's like a nudy mauve shade

also another thing I think I got this from Sephora like it was with like what

they give you for a free gift for your birthday this is just a blush in the shade party

for my birthday but it is really cute mauvey blush and I usually don't wear

blush because my cheeks are already kind of red but next moving on to clothing I

didn't get too many clothes for a birthday but I figured I wouldn't show

you guys what I did end up getting so from Nordstrom I tried on a bunch of

stuff but I only ended up getting literally a tank top yeah a lot

of the stuff at Nordstrom I feel like just isn't my style I don't know but I saw

this is really cute it's just a black crop top tank top thing and it has a

cross thing and this is from Top Shop at Nordstrom next this I actually wore this

on my birthday, I didn't get it for my birthday but I figured I would still

show it to you guys it's just this cropped, black, denim, jacket and I really like how

it's cut off I think I got it in a size too big usually like to get jackets

bigger just so they would like you know just be more comfy but I got this in a

size like I'm in jackets I usually get a size medium I got it on the side is

large so I think it's a little big on me but it's still really cute and I like it

and it's actually a stretchy material so it's nice this is a Levi's Denezim brand

I don't know I like it so last but not least I went to brandy melville

and the one at my mall closed actually so I have to go all the way to

Santa Monica I had to go to Santa Monica to go shopping why I didn't have to I'm

making it sound like a chore I went shopping at Santa Monica this is what I

cut okay so the first thing is just this red cropped tank top and I know it's

like fall winter but I live in LA so if I wear this under like a sweater yeah

this is just from the Brandy Melville, Pac Sun brand on the next thing I got is just

this striped t-shirt I don't really have too many t-shirts just plain t-shirts so

I figured why not get one and I know I'm gonna wear out I've already worn it

pretty comfy it's just a t-shirt. so I love this sweatshirt so much!

I really like the color but just it's so soft and comfortable I put it on like I

got it I bought it at the store I put it on the car and like I just it's just so

comfortable I don't even know like how but it's so soft inside it's just a

super comfortable casual sweatshirt that I'm gonna be wearing a ton I know it's

not like really fall colors because it's blue, but it's fine!

and next another blue sweatshirt from brandy melville this one says Malibu

California on it and if you know or maybe you don't I have a dog named

Malibu my puppy's name Malibu so I figured that I have to get this

obviously because it says his name on it are you kidding me and this is also

super soft Brandy Melville sweatshirts are really eight songs and I like how

they're not too thick either so I can wear them on like a day that it's not

too cold but I can still be comfortable yes I really like this awesome

another sweatshirt that I probably didn't eat since my dog's name on it

weighed on me make sure to remember to leave comment down below telling me how

many Malibu's you saw in my video and comment what you want for your birthday

I will see you guys in my next video

Previsão Outubro 2017 - Leão - #LEÃO EM CASA - Duration: 2:18.

Leo, you begin the month running after money and what will you find?

Money.

Great!

This is the gift from Venus and Mars to you.

But it is also possible that you realize that a certain somebody makes you, let's say, hot.

My tip:

Be careful not to take sex as love.

Especially if your self-esteem is not ok, something Saturn is trying to show you.

October will also be very communicative, and you will be charming when speaking in the

second half of the month.

But you can't abuse this power, thinking that you can troll everyone only because you speak beautifully

especially if the trolled person is someone who knows more than you.

You should also calm down, avoiding doing a lot of things but not knowing what you want.

Jupiter in Scorpio wants all your attention focused on your family and residence.

If you handled these matters in a sloppy way, now is the time to put everything in order.

Your home can be refurbished, to give it a magical tone or to protect it from water

because Jupiter is working with Neptune

And you will discover a lot of things in your house or in your family.

Oops.

Your card this month is the "Queen of Diamonds", indicating that you could use a certain sensitivity

in love.

Good sex is nice, but be careful not to favor this instead of true love.

I know that who you really love is Augúrio, right?

So like, share and subscribe our channel!

Very soon we'll have our daily and weekly foreacasts in English too.

Tomorrow we'll be back with Pisces and Gemini forecasts.

Bye!

BREAKING: This Could Be The END Of Season For NFL After Receiving Devastating Blow Overnight - Duration: 4:52.

You've probably heard the saying "read the room" when making public comments.

This means you should know your audience before you do or say something controversial.

Players in the NFL apparently missed that, because the results of their antics are in,

and these overpaid ball players have some serious explaining to do.

Players and coaches alike who took a knee while the national anthem have stirred up

a huge media frenzy, as many Americans consider their actions offensive.

The NFL's declining viewership has turned into a nightmare for the league, as their

right-leaning fans are refusing to watch anymore games.

The Washington Examiner has the latest round of bad news for the NFL, their sponsors, and

the racist players whose jobs are on the chopping block:

The National Football League is feeling the impact of the 'Trump Effect.'

Ticket sales since he called on team owners to fire players who take a knee to protest

the National Anthem have cratered.

The online ticket reseller TickPick told Secrets that sales have dropped 17.9 percent, far

more than the usual Week Three fall.

From TickPick:

17.9 percent decrease in NFL orders this week compared to the previous week.

Last year the drop was 10.8 percent in orders on Monday & Tuesday following Week Three games.

This means that while the regular season might still be in full swing, the season to protest

is over.

With viewership numbers reaching startling 20-year lows, the league can't afford anymore

setbacks, and they're going to have to do something drastic to win back their irate

fans.

"'We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison

to years past.

Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases

are down more than 7 percent from this time last year,'" said TickPick's Jack Slingland.

"While we can't specify if this decrease is due to the president's comments, player

and owner protests, play on the field, or simply the continued division of consumer's

media attention, the conversation around the NFL this week has focused on the president's

comments as well as the players' and owners' reaction.

As viewers continue to abandon their NFL Sunday habits, both the number of ticket sales and

the purchase price of tickets will drop."

Oh, you can't tell what's causing these declining numbers?

It could be due to the hundreds of thousands of fans who've decided to stop attending

games after getting slapped in the face with disrespect, or perhaps protesting players

in recent days telling outraged fans to "take a hike."

Business owners are also decreasing their patronage, as they are increasingly reluctant

to be associated with the kind of activity that flies in the face of American values.

Al Waisman of Freedom Daily reported on restaurants who have opted out of showing the games at

their establishments:

"Mom and Pop restaurant owners are actually responding to the rich spoiled oppressed hypocrites

in the NFL that kneeled in protest against the national anthem during Sunday's games

by shutting off TVs in their establishments.

This comes after President Donald Trump denounced the protests and told sports fans to never

condone their actions.

This is not an easy thing for the restaurant owners to do since their profit margins are

known for being very small and they make a lot of money when people come in to watch

sports games, eat chicken wings and drink beer."

A lot of Americans are protesting, and it really doesn't cost a thing.

In fact, it might even save money, since fans aren't shelling out the cash to see a game.

This is just the beginning of the problems the problems that the NFL faces.

As Prissy Holly reported, the league could soon be forced to find their funds from places

other than the American taxpayer after government officials get finished dropping the hammer:

Unfortunately for the anti-American NFL, empty stadiums and plummeting viewership could soon

be the least of their concerns.

If these subsidies suddenly end, all the NFL would have to fork out their own money to

build and maintain these fancy stadiums, meaning they'd have no choice but to listen to their

angry fans and put an end to these protests.

As these cocky players continue to disrespect our country, our police, and every American

soldier who has fought, bled, and died to protect America, the one thing they didn't

consider was the will of the American people.

After refusing to listen to their vast patriotic fanbase, now they'll be incurring the full

wrath of GOP lawmakers who overnight could ruin everything for them with this wonderful

new piece of legislation."

They might be able to keep playing for now, but with a multi-front attack that the American

people are launching on them, the NFL is going to have to make some big decisions soon, otherwise,

football as we know it might be a thing of the past.

what do you think about this?

Top 10 Most Scary Dolls Of All Time - Duration: 7:29.

Hi YouTube, welcome back to another most amazing top 10 video!

I'm Landon and today we are going to be talking about a lot of haunted dolls.

The dolls on this list are reported to be cursed or demonically possessed in some way.

So let's take a look at the top 10 most scary dolls of all time.

So just before we get into the video, we now have Patreon.

We will be uploaded a whole bunch of extra bonus content, we will be giving away free

merch and allowing you guys to help pick our videos.

You get to become apart of the team.

So if you guys want to help support us click the link down below.

Can't wait to see you Most Amazing people over on Patreon.

Let's start off this creepy list in at number 10 with Mercy.

The spirit of a 7-year-old girl is said to haunt and possess this doll and there have

been many reports of creepy and scary stories about her presence.

Various owners have reported to have seen the doll standing straight up and having moved

from places where they had initially put her.

Others have said that the radio or television station will suddenly change when the doll

is around.

Mandy walks into this list in at number 9.

This porcelain doll names Mandy and she was made back in 1910 and now she is on display

in a museum in British Colombia, Canada.

Mandy actually causes a lot of demonic mischief at the museum.

People's lunches and other items often go missing and then they usually turn up somewhere

else.

Footsteps are heard when no one is around.

The museum staff claims that Mandy couldn't be displayed with other dolls because she

had the tendency to knock them over or mess up their area.

Visitors to the museum claim to feel uneasy around her and they say that he eyes will

blink and follow you wherever you walk.

Scaring us in at number 8 we have Pupa.

In the 1920's, Pupa was made to resemble its female Italian owner and she was often

dressed to look like her.

Pupa's owner claimed that the doll would speak to her and she believed that Pupa was

a separate living entity.

When the owner died in 2005, her family put Pupa in a glass case.

However, Pupa doesn't always like being locked in the case.

She would periodically change positions or even manage to escape.

She moves items around in her display case and her facial expressions often change.

When she is lonely, you can hear her knocking or banging on the glass.

Moving into number 7 is Amelia.

This scary looking doll was auctioned off on eBay where she became one of the highest

viewed items.

The seller put this in their description, "this doll is not recommended for the weak

at heart or for any little kids to have in their bedrooms!"

Um yeah, that's enough information for me to know that I would never want to buy this

creepy doll.

The previous owner said that her eyes were initially blue but they have glazed over into

a creepy glowing green and once her eyes changed, weird things started to happen.

She would be seen standing in the hallway, giggling and once she even waved.

Elmo comes onto this list in at number 6.

In 2008 a family from Florida claimed that an Elmo Knows Your Name Doll began to violently

threaten their two-year-old son, James.

At first, the doll worked as it should.

It would recite James' name along with a set of programmed personalized phrases.

However, after they changed its batteries, the Elmo turned sinister and began to sing

"Kill James" over and over.

Whoa, Elmo can never be trusted ever again.

Now in at number 5 we have Peggy.

A paranormal investigator took several photos and videos of a haunted doll by the name of

Peggy.

This doll reportedly has an effect on people who have never even been around her.

When photos and videos of the doll were posted onto the internet, 80 people reported to have

suffered from headaches, feeling anxious and even seeing images of mental institutions.

One woman even reported suffering from a heart attack after viewing online videos of the

doll.

How are you guys feeling right now?

Hopefully you are all okay…

Joliet creeps her way into number 4.

This scary looking doll has an even scarier reputation.

Apparently, she is now owned by a woman named Anna and Joliet is a doll that has been passed

down from mother to daughter for several generations.

There is a legend that claims the doll will curse each daughter to give birth to two children;

a daughter and a son.

The son will die within three days of being born and the doll will eventually be passed

down to the surviving daughter.

The spirts of the lost sons are said to inhabit the doll, crying through the night.

Why would you keep passing down this devil doll?

I don't understand it, like go bury it in the woods or set it on fire.

Harold the haunted doll scares his way into number 3.

He is said to be the first haunted doll ever sold on eBay and his original auction sparked

interest from many paranormal investigators who wanted to get their hands on this haunted

doll.

There are so many stories about the doll's devilish

ways.

Apparently, many of his owners have been said to suffer from a sudden illness or injury

shortly after they noticed the doll smiling at him.

Many people on the internet claim that Harold is the Devil's personal doll.

Robert the haunted doll creeps his way into number 2.

This disturbed looking doll was previously owned by Robert Eugene Otto who received it

back in 1906 from a family servant who practiced black magic and wanted to harm the Otto family.

Robert's parents claimed that they heard their son conversing with the doll and neighbors

even saw the doll moving from one room to another when no one was home.

After Robert had died, a family moved into the Otto home and their young daughter began

to see the doll in her room at night, trying to kill her.

I would definitely put that house on the market and move far far away.

Finally, in at our number 1 spot is Annabelle.

Yes, that's right the movie was actually based on true events.

Annabelle is actually a raggedy Ann doll which is now locked up in Ed and Lorraine Warrens'

Occult Museum in Connecticut because Annabelle was said to have caused some very disturbing

and demonic events.

Annabelle would shift positions during the day or move to a different room entirely.

She also left penciled messages that said "help us."

The owner also came home to find drops of blood on the doll's chest and on the back

of her hand.

It is believed that Annabelle was involved in a chain of events that ended in a man's

death.

So needless to say, Annabelle is considered to be demonically possessed and that is why

she is locked up in a glass cabinet.

Well there you guys have it.

U.S. Border Agents Violating Privacy Rights With Warrantless Searches - Duration: 8:15.

What does a NASA engineer, a military veteran, and a journalist, and a college student all

have in common?

They've all been forced to hand over their laptops and smartphones without a warrant,

by Homeland Security officials when re-entering the United States.

Now, ten of these citizens are filing a federal class action lawsuit, saying their constitutional

rights were violated.

Joining me now to discuss this, in RT New York, correspondent Trinity Chavez.

Trinity, thanks for coming.

What does this lawsuit allege?

What are the violations?

What's the background or the cornerstone of this lawsuit?

The Electronic Frontier Foundation and the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit

earlier this month, against the Department of Homeland Security for warrantless border

searches.

The lawsuit alleges that Homeland Security officers violated the plaintiffs fourth amendment

rights when the agents searched, in some cases confiscated their devices without a warrant

at all, like their phones and their laptops.

The two organizations will represent ten US residents, who they say are law-abiding US

citizens who are Muslim or people of color.

They were re-entering the United States from either business or personal travel, when they

all had their computers and smartphones searched, when none of them were accused of doing anything

wrong.

These plaintiffs are students, are journalists, one was even a military vet, and another one

worked for NASA when this all happened.

Some of these individuals had their phones held by border officers for months, even though

they weren't accused of a specific crime.

Under the US Constitution, the fourth amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures,

and requires law enforcement to have warrants.

But courts however, have made exceptions for the searches at US ports of entry, like at

the airport, and have ruled that the government can do warrantless border searches to enforce

immigration and custom laws, to protect national security.

But since Trump has taken office and implemented his travel ban, concerns of racial profiling

and stereotyping have really become more of an issue, along with violation of one's human

rights, and especially in today's society, where we are living in the digital age, our

phones and our computers have a vast amount of personal information on them.

We're talking about pictures, videos, emails, and private text messages, even applications

that store credit card information, health information, so the level of personal information

is really unbelievable.

One plaintiff, Akram Shibly, who had their phone searched, called the ordeal a gross

violation of his human rights.

Let's go back to the NASA engineer, his name was Sidd Bikkannavar.

He works for NASA in jet propulsion laboratories, an employee.

He was subject to one of these searches.

What's the full story and the background on the NASA employee's case.

This plaintiff is an Indian origin Muslim, who is a scientist for NASA.

He designs technology for space telescopes.

In this case, he was on his way back from vacation in Chile, in February.

When he returned to the US, it was just days after the signing of the travel ban, when

a customs and border protection agent in the Houston airport pressured him to unlock his

phone by typing in his password, and forced to hand it over.

Bikkannavar is a natural-born citizen, and even had global entry, which is basically

pre-approved clearance to get you through customs quicker and easier.

Keep in mind, to join this program, you have to go through a thorough background check,

and even an in-person interview.

But regardless, he was escorted to an interview room and was forced to give up his phone.

The officer told him that they had to search his possessions to make sure that he wasn't

bringing anything dangerous into this country.

The officials had asked him everything from where he worked, where he was coming from,

and where he lives.

This is all information that the officer should have already had, since the plaintiff was

a part of the global entry program.

Bikkannavar had answered the questions and explained that he worked for NASA, and that

his phone was issued actually by NASA, it wasn't his own personal cellphone, so it may

contain sensitive information that wasn't meant to be shared.

But none of that mattered, he was still searched along with his device.

At one point, he even asked the officer why he was chosen to be searched and questioned,

but the officer didn't tell him, he just insisted that he had the legal authority to do this.

The border officer had his phone for a half an hour, before he finally gave it back to

him, saying that he had been searching his phone using algorithms.

Bikkannavar had not known what information that the officials might have taken from his

device, so that is still unknown.

Trinity, to me, from an outsider looking in, this certainly does look like these are people

with the wrong skin color, and the wrong names, and are getting just picked out of line based

on profile issues.

Is there a legitimate basis for US border officers searching their phones and their

persons, and doing these extensive background checks, or is this just look like racial profiling?

It gets complicated because the government is initially, seemingly so, trying to protect

the US from terrorism and things of that nature.

But this isn't a new protocol, this is something that they have been really kind of going for,

for the last few years, but this has become more of an issue recently.

Officials say that the electronics searches began late in the Bush administration, but

CBP officers have cracked down on these inspections this year, since Trump has implemented the

travel ban.

People can be searched based on a number of different reasons.

According to the guidelines though, on the CBP website, you could be subjected to inspections

because your travel documents are incomplete, or you don't have the proper documents or

visa.

You may also have previously violated one of the laws that CBP enforces, or even if

you have a name that matches a person of interest in their database.

There are several different reasons that may apply to a person.

One thing is how they even know that these are people of interest, or if their documents

are incorrect.

How do they know that without initiating the conversation with these travelers?

As far as the people's phones go, travelers are not legally required to unlock their phones

or devices, but border agents are known to detain individuals for long periods of time

when they don't cooperate, so that's why people feel pressured to give them the passwords

to their phones.

Just like in Bikkannavar's case, where he was not allowed to leave until he gave the

agents the passcode to unlock his phone.

So you hold him hostage until you give the password, I mean we're not talking about looking

at travel dockets, you're looking in phones, they're looking at laptops.

So in addition to not having any warrant to search through someone's private information,

what hazards are posed to citizens if their emails, text messages, as you mentioned, photos,

they can all be searched by authorities like they have been?

Yeah, absolutely.

To really pinpoint the exact racial make-up of the individuals who are being targeted,

and who are getting inspected, gets a little tricky.

That information hasn't been released by the CBP, but what I can tell you is that the ACLU

reported that the amount of searches at border patrol have spiked recently.

According to the data on the CBP site, the number of searches grew from 8,503 in 2015

to 19,033 in 2016.

That's an increase of almost 125%, and officers have already carried out nearly 15,000 searches

just this year, between January and June, which puts the CBP on track to conduct about

30,000 searches for the year.

But the government has said that those searches happen to fewer than one hundredth of 1% of

international travelers, and that they are authorized by some laws that allow border

agents to look through suitcases without a judge's approval, and those are the same laws

they are using to search peoples' devices.

Trinity, thank you for joining us today.

DIY Soft Lights - Duration: 9:28.

Hey guys are you wanting some soft lights? You know you need them for your

videos, but they may be out of your price range or maybe the ones you're finding

are too big, maybe they don't fit in the area where you record. I mean that's very

common, not all of us have a big studio to record in. So in this video I want to

show you how we took a regular clip light and we made our own soft light

with things we pretty much had around the house. So these fit in the area we

needed, they cost a lot less and they worked fine for what we needed. Well at

least at that time they were better than nothing.

So let's take a look at how we made these lights. Hi guys, I'm Sheryl Loch with

Ginger Roots Media and in this do-it-yourself creative video gear

series, I've been showing you things that we kind of had to make on our own,

because we either couldn't find them or maybe we couldn't afford to go out and

buy one, so we had to kind of use things we had around the house or make our own

for a variety of reasons. And today this is a soft light. As you know a lot of

times you have to have lighting for your video, but the thing you may be able to

afford or that you may have is something like this from say Home Depot, Lowe's, any

store has them and lots of us have them sitting around our house. They have

a clip, they're easy to use and they're pretty inexpensive. The only problem with

these lights is how bright it is and it shows the direct light. You're gonna blow

things out. If it happens to shine on you, you could be doomed by having a super

blown out face and look a little ridiculous. So when we started making

videos, I made videos in a three foot by three foot area.

Now that's super small. I didn't have a lot of room the big regular box lights

and soft lights were not gonna work. I had nowhere to put them, so we were

trying to use regular lights. But for some things they didn't work. They were

either too much, not enough, I couldn't get them regulated. So we decided to make

our own soft lights and we started with something like this. Now let me tell you

if you don't have one of these laying around and it's something you're going

to use, when you go to your hardware store if you find one of these and the

metal here is bent, you can usually talk the manager into

giving it to you at a super discount price. So instead of paying like 7 to 10

bucks, you can usually get them for 3 or 4 just because this metal is bent. We

didn't use the metal anyway, we were gonna we cut it off, so that part didn't

have a whole lot to play in it. But we wanted the clip, we wanted the whole

setup and it was cheaper when we could get one of these that was all dinged up.

So let's look at the soft light. Kkay this is not beautimous and it's been

hanging out in our shop for quite a while now, so I kind of wiped it off. But

this is not your typical round nor square. We did have a big square one

we've since taken it down I believe. But because of the area I worked in I needed

light and this shape, that would fit. I could fit 2 of these to get my light even and

so we had to make them triangle. Trust me I doubt you could find one of these and

everybody said triangles won't work, well they will if that's what you have. So

what do we have here? We have cardboard on the outside. This is just real thick

cardboard. Go to the grocery store, go to any big box store they usually have it

out back and if you ask, they'll give you some big boxes and this is the thick

corrugated cardboard. Now we spray painted it black, we cut our

shapes used tape, this is hundred-mile-an-hour tape. Tape

them together and that was how we made our box. Now yes you can make them square,

triangle, whatever rectangle, whatever is going to work that you can make work.

Back here you see we have the back of our clip light. This could have the clip

piece still attached which we did use at times and then we redesigned them again

and we put this piece of metal bent to attach here. Because I had slats that we

put on to basically the ceiling and I could slide these on and move them

around very easily. As for the rest of the light this that is going to soften

the light. It's a white shower curtain that you buy

at any store. It's just a white shower curtain, that's it nothing fancy. Then we

have inside. Let me pull this apart. The heat is not very friendly,

Las Vegas gets a little warm and it doesn't do well for anything glued. Let's

take a look here. As you can see we've lined this piece of shower curtain with

Velcro and have Velcro on the cardboard. Now lining the cardboard is regular

aluminum foil, tin foil, whatever you want to call it, that is what is lining the

inside the light, so it reflects. Then all the way in, is the rest of our light and

as you can see we've cut the metal piece down. And I know this won't show on

camera, but there's just a slight little rim we left here to help hold the light

in place and secure it. It may not be pretty, would I take these out and

hang them up somewhere to do a video shoot for someone or a photo shoot?

Probably not and now I don't have to. At the time they worked for what we

needed. So it's cardboard, a clip light, some

aluminum foil and a white shower curtain. There's more instructions to it, but

these are your basics and I'm sure you can at least get an idea and get started

with these. I know we used to have a how-to on it, but I don't know where that

went. But anyway, I just wanted to show you

that you you don't need to go out and buy things that you can't afford if

that's what's holding you back from starting to make your videos. Or maybe

you have product pictures you want to take and you can't afford the the big

soft lights. I don't blame you. When we started we couldn't. There's nothing to

be ashamed of. I I made hundreds of videos with these lights and guess what?

Nobody even knew. Nobody's gonna know if you're in your own office or your house

or wherever you make your videos, that you're using soft lights made out of

cardboard that cost 15 bucks rather than 50 bucks for the nice fancy

ones. If it solves your problem then use it. It doesn't matter if it's not what

everyone else uses or it's not as fancy or you didn't get it store-bought. The

point is get what you need, so you can start moving forward and as your

business builds or your channel builds, whatever it is you're working on, then

maybe you're making more money and you choose to go buy better looking, a

little more sophisticated soft lights. But that's up to you, because as long as

you have something that works, you can get started right now. We made several of

these different sizes, different shapes, the shapes will will cause the light to

come out different, but you can work with it and you may have to make different

ones. Had square, rectangular, triangle and we

used them in different places for different things. So that's why I wanted

to show you today how we made homemade, super cheap soft lights and they work. So

go ahead tell me, I'd never make that. That's okay, you don't have to, they

worked for me. We'll see you on the next video, thanks for watching and be

sure to subscribe for more entertaining things we've made from home.

NIECE OF BETTY AND BARNEY HILL SAYS 'AN ALIEN ABDUCTED MY FAMILY - Duration: 1:25.

NIECE OF BETTY AND BARNEY HILL SAYS 'AN ALIEN ABDUCTED MY FAMILY AND I CAN PROVE IT'

The married couple Betty and Barney Hill reported that they had been victims of a fourth kind

of close-up encounter on the night of September 19-20,1961 by encountering a UFO and being

briefly abducted into the object by the occupants, where they were subjected to several experiments

and surgical interventions.

The kidnappers are said to have been aliens.

There is no clear evidence of the reality of the event.

Now the niece of Betty and Barney Hill claims she can prove the alien abduction.

See video: An Alien Abducted My Family and I Can Prove It!

DIY Silk Screen | In The Studio with Steven Sabados | CBC Life - Duration: 29:10.

You're like a little kid again you're just painting inside the lines right

Hey everybody welcome to my personal studio today we're gonna be doing a project

called silk screening it's such a great process because you can do repeat pulls

of the same image it's kind of hard to describe but let me show you what I mean

You know I absolutely love skulls and here I have a an image of a skull which

I have on the silk screen I have these professionally made and then I can do

repeat images of this same skull I do it on artwork I do it on t-shirts and all

kinds of things but a little more simple I've done this word dream I placed this

on a silkscreen and you can see here I just have the word dream but I flipped

the screen around and I started to create sort of just interesting sort of

almost geometric sort of shapes but it's just this word dream is on my silkscreen

and it's really simple to do we're gonna do a different process over here one of

One of the probably easiest references that that you'll probably know is the art of

Andy Warhol so you know that Campbell's soup cans that he did or the pictures of

Marilyn or Elvis Presley with the gun all those were all silk screens right so

he would have these massive silk screens made so we're gonna be doing the same

process but we're gonna really dumb it down we're gonna really make it simple

the things that we will need though are these silk screens you can get these at

fine art supply stores they come pre-stretched basically it it's silk on

on a wooden frame so we're gonna need that for the screen the other thing

we're going to need are these squeegees now this is a silkscreen squeegee which

is very very important again not really that expensive but you can't use your

shower squeegee it's just not going to work the next thing we can just get a

multitude of coloured inks these are special things and if you look on it it

says screen printing ink so make sure you that you can't use you know your

regular acrylic or any type of other anchor or latex paint or something like

that it's gonna be too thin there's a certain viscosity to this paint and it's

really sort of it's almost like sour cream it's just so beautiful and you'll

see when we start to pull the ink how nicely it works and then a few other

things the masking tape and things of that nature and then there's a thing

called screen filler which we'll get to in a

second. Let's get to the image that we're gonna do for me I'm gonna start with

something really cool today I have this this image I've other sort of like this

fishbone kind of thing I think it's kind of wacky it's kind of quirky you know I

think this would look really cool in a t-shirt and we're gonna do this I just

got this off the internet you can get gazillion images what we want is

something as you can see here something really simple just with sort of big

thick heavy lines I wouldn't get anything too intricate and too

complicated because I think these sort of like solid images sort of work best

and they're gonna be really simple and fun so from here guys we have our image

laid flat on the table we're gonna get our silkscreen we're gonna place it on

top and then from here we're gonna get a permanent marker and trace it out at

this point here when we're doing it don't move the screen around you know if

you want you can tape the screen to the table so it remains still and then with

your marker trace the lines like a colouring book can't be easier

And with this stage here I mean you don't have to be perfect

right again I like it because this image is kind of like loose it's a bit of an

interpretation of a of a fish scale you know if you want you don't have to use a

photocopy if you're so inclined you could write your name spell a word do

some sort of funky saying you know a little inspirational quote but the main

thing is that you want to just first draw it out with this permanent marker

so that we can see where our screen fluids gonna go and you can see I'm not

being perfect with this right the thing with a lot of a lot of work that I like

to do I don't like to be so perfect and precise about it I kind of think when

you are working and you are doing this I like things to be a bit quirky and wacky

also I like to experiment a lot and sometimes you know just things would

have happened and when they happened on like wow that's really cool and then

push it further that's sort of where you start to experiment and just sort of

explore new avenues and new things so from here guys that's what it looks

like right that's simple so from here we can put this image aside and now we have

our screen so we know exactly what we're gonna do so here comes the the

interesting part from here what we want to do guys we just want to raise our

screen up just a small amount and then with our screen filler right it's a

specialty product called screen filler we're going to paint out the negative

parts of the screen so when we do screen all the negative space so everything

that's white as you can see we're gonna put the screen filler in so that means

that no ink will be able to pass through so we'll have a positive image like the

black as you see here so it's really kind of simple let me grab some brushes

and we can get underway

So for this project you want to use them or you want to have some really soft

brushes okay so in this case I would sort of invest in a bit of a better

brush you don't want to have really stiff brushes the screen filler is is

quite thick and you want it to go on very heavy and thick so here we go yeah

so you can see here that the screen filler it's almost like this clay colour

and when we paint it on its gonna completely block the screen now with

this you're gonna need a few coats you can see when we're putting it on here so

basically it's just clogging the screen and for this part here this is where you

want to be a little more exact once the screen filler hits into the screen it's

there I mean it can be washed out after the fact but you don't want to start

washing out your screen now so just sort of maybe start with some smaller brushes

and then fill in with larger brushes after the great thing with with this

kind of stuff is that you kind of get you get to create one-of-a-kind pieces

and you know often for myself you know when I'm out either in stores or at

trade shows or something of that nature I'm seeing all this great stuff and you

get inspired by it and you sort of think well either how can I be inspired by

that recreate it or interpret it in in my own way and then again you know what

it's all about just going to the art supply store I do that quite a bit and

just see what's new on the market and then get inspired think well that's cool

I could use this right maybe I could do that with something and don't be afraid

just to sort of mess around right again we can never be too precious about what

we're doing because if you are then you're just really always going to be

disappointed by what you do

these projects like this that are a little more sort of time-consuming it's

almost like meditation right some people sort of do yoga you know some people can

actually sit there and meditate I can't meditate because if I were to

sit there in a meditative pose I would just drive myself crazy and want to do

something like this I kind of like this the slow pace of

this and you have to really think about what you're doing but at the same time

you don't have to but you have to be conscious enough of what you're doing

that you don't to be worrying about work and what your next mortgage payment is

or that your car needs new repairs or the ceiling in the kitchen is cracking

and from a leak which is my situation right now so you know I mean so you just

kind of just sit here and you just kind of get lost in it for me it's almost

like um when I paint a room like literally physically roller in a room I

love painting because when you're doing that you're just doing a repeat motion

and you're you kind of get lost in it if that makes sense when we're painting

with the block of fluid first I'd like to go in the interior and sort of get

that going now we don't have to paint out the entire screen you'll kind of see

once I get the most of the fish done will sort of paint sort of maybe a few

inches outside the fish and then with the rest of the screen we can just use

masking tape to sort of block it out so no need to worry about you know painting

the whole screen out that's just gonna be a huge effort but for now the best

thing I always like to do is work the inside out that way your hand doesn't

get in there and start smudging around because you really want to be quite

conscious about what you're painting and quite deliberate about it because if we

like I said if we get the blocking fluid inside of these areas here it's gonna

really mess us up so be somewhat delicate about it but not overly fussy

so with this process here as you can see I'm painting it on and the block fluid

dries relatively quickly I don't want to do at least two coats of this you'll see

as we go further on you can see if she here even when I'm painting see these

different colors that sort of lighter color is where we don't want to be but

we want this screen to be blocked so it's completely opaque so we're

absolutely sure that no ink will press through and go onto the the paper or the

fabric below so after you've put your block of fluid on and if you start

silk-screening and you notice that some of the ink is pressing through and it's

sort of bleeding under by all means you can wash the ink out and you can reapply

this filler and again put another generous coat on exactly as you did and

that should completely sell the problem but that's why I like doing it really

well the first time so that you don't run into problems down the road if you

want to remove this screen filler and say use a screen for something else

there is a another product on the market that cleans this this off

this actually is water-based so you don't worry about getting on your hands

what not but once it drives on the screen it becomes permanent in that

sense because you'll see when we start screening

we'll be washing our screen out with water to change the colors but the

screen filler this block fluid will not wash out okay so from here I have the

the kind of the overall sort of fish done now I'm gonna get a wider brush and

again like I said you really want to have some really nice soft bristle

brushes okay so again these aren't overly expensive but they're not really

stiff because you can see here with this nice wider brush I'm gonna be painting

on sort of the thicker areas and then sort of going all around the fish and

this is where you want to lay on that nice generous coat right and from here

a few inches we don't like I said we don't have paint out the entire screen

but I'm going to say we need to paint out at least two they're leaving about

maybe two inches around the screen and that'll be taped off with masking tape

okay so these screen is pretty well prepped to where I need it to be and

from here we can kind of speed up the drying process a bit with the hairdryer

again you don't want it to be on really really high heat just sort of a medium

heat and again this will just sort of like because I'm very impatient I mean

anytime I can get to speed things along I like that and just get your hairdryer

so the screen is completely dry right now and a great way to really test it is

to hold it up to the light and you really want to be completely opaque you

don't want to see any any light shining through I would even go outside and hold

out the sunlight again you really want to make sure that there are no holes in

there otherwise I may have to go back at the blocking fluid and might as well do

it right the first time so from here now we need to block off the the rest of the

screen with masking tape like I said before so here we can get this wide tape

and put it down this again just ensures that no ink will be getting onto our

unto our artwork put that down now we do that all the way around the entire piece

also what we need to do is right where the screen meets the wood with masking

tape we need to create as you can see here a little bit of a well okay so the

front part of our screen is now complete then we have to flip it over and tape

the back as well this just again is a double insurance just to make sure that

no ink will get on for artwork it's better to be really safe than sorry

okay wow so screen is now complete okay so at this stage we can go and we could

start silk screening or I have two other screens here as well so what we're going

to do is we're gonna tape them off and those will be at or almost act as

background colors okay and for this one I'm gonna do something really really

simple I'm just gonna get masking tape and I'm gonna use mathematical tape as

my shape so again I'm gonna be completely random with this so here's my

shape where I want the ink to go through in a solid way so what I'm gonna do is

having the tape out the rest of this screen like I just did to the other one

and the same thing with these screens as well you want to again make sure

everything is taped out and we're gonna create that little well like I said on

the side as well so everything is mashed out properly even though this is just

one of the background screens again it's better to be safe because now I have a

really good solid sort of exposed area right here and I know that everything

else is really well protected that no other ink is gonna spoiler our artwork

so we have this one done now I've got a third screen because we're gonna do

another color so I'll go to colored backgrounds and then the fish on top so

for this one I'm just going to do another random shape

I would suggest probably going to a dollar store somewhere inexpensive to

get your masking to you need a lot okay so I think we've used all the masking

tape in the entire world we've got this one shape that's gonna happen in one

color we have this other shape that's gonna happen in another color and again

placement we don't know what's gonna happen but we can kind of play around

with that and then we have our fish that's gonna go on top of that so that's

how we're gonna sort of layer it up so before we get to any of that I gotta

clear off the entire table put some paper down and then we can start

screaming okay so we've got everything here we've got our our screens standing

by our colors in our paper so for the first thing we're gonna do is we're

gonna just use one of our screens and we're gonna screen out the one color so

we're ready to go we're gonna load our incan I like to load in a generous

amount right at the very top because we're gonna be pulling towards us always

towards us never away and when you are screening once you start you have to

follow through in a full motion if you start and stop and do things like that

you'll sort that will transfer that jiggly motion will transfer and you'll

get sort of lines through it which we don't want we want it to look like it's

a big solid opaque opaque image so here we go and when we reveal it see it's

like a perfect orange so from there let's continue and do some more what we

need to do again is load up our screen at the very top right I've got a lot

here so this is good and positioning it on their paper and follow

through there we go number two I think it's kind of Awesome if you say are

doing a project like this if you just do something like this this is great I like

using my art and giving it to people as gifts or if I'm doing something a lot of

times when I am painting or am screening and I'm thinking about somebody or you

know thinking about me with something they would like maybe in the colors that

they like I have good friends of mine Marion and Andrew they love orange so I

would do this for them and just maybe you can just kind of frame this I mean

this was kind of cool right sign it frame it um say it's really famous who

knows but we're gonna layer our social screening and for this I'm going to use

some sort of a bright bluish and I'm gonna put a little bit of white screen

paint in there some screening fluid and mix it up

I just want to mix sort of a lighter blue because I'm kind of envisioning

maybe the fish is going to be in pink maybe I'm going to offset it and black

you'll kind of see so I'm trying to layer these colors together and let's

see what's gonna happen yeah there's an awesome color okay so we're ready we

don't want to be distracted and also is another thing because we have this other

piece here once we start to screen and we pick it up and they go to another

piece there will be a lot of ink on this so you don't really want to sort of pick

your screen up reposition it pick it up reposition it because you may start to

get ink and spoil the piece that's underneath so you can kind of see here

at the cool thing like I said it's silkscreen so we'll be able to see and

you can move it around where we're gonna deposit this blue color right so it'd

just be just in here so move it around find a great spot

and let's have a look and see okay here we go

okay so there's our first one see vivid right we'll let this dry go to our next

one and for this one because each one I want to be different I'm going to

position the screen differently on each one and Ike I said once you lay it down

commit to laying it down and don't move it around because they'll be incurred

Ernie that that may spoil the orange piece underneath and again we're always

going to lay our ink at the top and we're gonna pull straight down okay

and there's our next one number two and here's number three

okay and there we go now comes the big moment

now we're gonna screen our star and our star is this really cool fish so again

for this because we've sort of laid down our different colors that we have here

we can sort of and if you can kind of see that you can you can kind of see a

little bit behind you know and then I don't know just sort of see what you

think would be best although each one's gonna be different you kind of want to

just play around and kind of see what would work best and like I said once we

have this screen that we've done all this work with this screen this screen

is going to stay like this and I can use that a hundred times which is fantastic

we're gonna do the fish first off I think in fuchsia okay we're gonna load

the ink in the back and we're ready

cool looks great what do you think okay let's do another this sort of has a

really kind of cool retro vibe doesn't it okay we're gonna load our ink in the

front and okay well that's really the killers are awesome see what I mean by

the by all the work that we did for the masking fluid so right now there's no

ink that's bleeding through so the fact that we did all that work off the top

really sort of pays off in the end

okay yeah awesome

right and then where you could position them every single one's gonna be

completely different so from here guys we're gonna let these

three dry I'm gonna rinse out this screen and we're gonna do it again I

think in black it'll be awesome okay so I've cleaned my squeegee in this

case as well we cleaned all the ink out of out of our screen here and then they

retake tit all so from here like I said we have our pieces done we could easily

be finished here why not push it even further so what we're gonna do I think

is maybe screen the fish butt off set it in black and what I mean by that is you

can see here

can you see the fish behind we're gonna sort of register it and then just

slightly offset it so what I do is I line the fish up so you can see the pink

behind it so that's exactly where we screened the pink and then we're just

gonna go and move it and what will happen is it'll look like a drop shadow

or sort of a highlight but and this is kind of interesting because we can sort

of play around with it I'm each on each image okay we're good so once I've

positioned it like I said leave it we're gonna load our ink into the top okay we

have our squeegee and we're good to go

we're gonna release it and see what I mean as you can see the image how it

just sort of like pops and the fish almost has a sort of interesting sort of

dimension to it and again every single one's gonna be different because we

won't be able to register it perfectly which is cool that's what I said it's

one of a kind and when you're doing this you can kind of see through the screen

it's gonna be a bit difficult and then once it's down leave it you can't move

it because there will be ink underneath that and it'll just disrupt it and you

really don't want to mess around and ruin all that work you just did

there we go again they almost look similar but every

single one's gonna have just a tiny bit of a subtle difference and this one

that's do completely different that's uh let's bring the fish way up right now

and because it's my last one I'm gonna do it again there see now I

did that got a few on here got some splatters going here since I have this

already going keep it going

while we're at it might as well add some orange

why not right now we're gonna let these guys dry and I'm gonna wash out my

screen okay so we've got them they're pretty well dry so you can really see

how easy silk-screening is and this guy's really cool as well you don't mean

like you can splatter it we could continue and push it further if we want

with other colors but I'm kind of liking where this guy is right now I think he's

awesome so I hope this inspires your inner Andy Warhol silkscreen like I said

it's really really simple right all supplies at your art supply

store I'm gonna hang this puppy up and and we'll see you soon in the studio

you
